A very pleasant atmosphere and a super friendly welcome. The service is incredibly fast, and the portions are truly filling. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant with lovely garden seating outside, located in a charming neighborhood. The food was prepared with care and tasted great. The main dish we ordered had a smaller serving size, but the flavor was fantastic. We especially loved their kaiserschmarrn, which was extremely flavorful and satisfying.

The food was very good, but the portions were a bit small

I had a very good impression of this restaurant. Unfortunately that changed last night. I went there for dinner and ordered Natur Schnitzel with Käse Spätzle. In the menu it was Butter Spätzle, I have asked to change it with Käse Spätzle. The waiter took my order and served me Butter Spätzle. When I asked the reason he said he can provide me a small portion of Käse Spätzle along with it. But this dish comes with Butter Spätzle. I told him that I had this dish with Käse Spätzle for lunch in this same restaurant some months ago. He was rude at that point and I simply didn't want to waste my time arguing with him. He also spilled Beer on our table while serving it to my husband and didn't care to clean it afterwards. In summary really rude and bad service.

Delicious food at the inn We were able to get a table quite spontaneously as a large group. They offer a wide selection of beers and delicious, hearty food.

I recommend the Kaiserschmarrn (super fluffy) and the Munich schnitzel. Both were delicious. There's nice seating inside and outside. The service was really friendly. I would come back anytime. There's a special on right now! Beer is only €3.90❤️

The service is truly exceptional; the waitress was super friendly, especially to my granddaughter. After asking, my wife received the schnitzel as a senior citizen's plate. The idea of ​​donating a slice to the kitchen staff for €5 appealed to us, as did the staff, who personally thanked us. The restaurant is beautifully and discreetly decorated, as befits a Bavarian restaurant, without any kitsch. My daughter thought the vegetarian dish (cheese dumplings) was incredibly good; the chef really put a lot of effort into it, including the accompanying salad. The fried potatoes with the schnitzel were low in salt and not at all crispy. My duck was juicy, but a bit tough. On another visit, we again had a friendly and very attentive waitress. The Tyrolean Groestel was a modern but successful interpretation with crunchy vegetables. The roast leftovers weren't tough, and the whole thing wasn't stuck together with a mess of scrambled eggs, but topped with a fried egg. The children's schnitzel with fries was good, and my companions were also satisfied with the meatballs and the potato dumplings. I didn't like the ketchup and mayo that came in plastic bags.

Overcharged by the restaurant. What should have been 7x becomes 93 Euro. But I believe it is just a genuine mistake. We should have reacted faster but it was difficult to double-check the billed items when the receipt was not presented. We were a family visiting the restaurant for lunch. The waiter was smiling at everyone else except us. The attitude was very obvious. The food is also pricier than most other bavarian restaurants.

Great place with a warm and inviting atmosphere and very friendly staff! The food is delicious authentic Bavarian cuisine, made with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The beers are top quality and pair perfectly with the dishes. Perfect spot for a relaxed evening out with friends or family. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area!

Unfortunately not. We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. At least the prices are high. I really can't recommend it. Sorry 🙈

Simply great, always happy to come back

We were at Ayinger today and once again we all left very satisfied. My roast pork for €17.90 was exactly as it should be. Two large slices, crispy crust with a layer of fat still attached to the meat, sauce, and two kinds of dumplings. A coleslaw is served separately. It takes a while to eat it, and afterwards there's hardly any room left for dessert. Then it's just an espresso or an affogato, which they also serve here. The friendly waitress immediately pointed out the senior portion option to older guests! No matter what was ordered, the other pub classics, such as the homemade meatballs, were also tried and tested and very tasty. Only the interior perhaps deserved a more imaginative decorator. We'd be happy to come back.

The sausage salad and roast pork were top-notch! The service was seamless, friendly and customer-focused. Beer was served fresh and promptly. 10/10 points!

A bit more expensive but worth the money

Very good, clear menu with traditional dishes, some interpreted with their own twist, together with great service, this is a top restaurant and a real asset for the district. We go there regularly and really enjoy eating there or just for a few halfs.

I organized a dinner here for 14 people on the occasion of my birthday. Super friendly service and top service. As a highlight, I was able to order a 10l barrel of beer to the table, which I tapped myself. Very tasty beer, but the food was also great. Can only be recommended.

As a regular guest, the last time as long as this person serves! The Bavarian Inn includes people and their animal companions. Up until now we have always been treated excellently. Customers were always offered drinks like their companions. My visit here today was more than unfriendly from the new waiter. He wanted to send my dog ​​out in the rain to drink, and then I was insulted because he wasn't my dog's servant. The restaurant is really good, but I am extremely disappointed with the new service that I will avoid the restaurant as soon as this uncouth service is in the restaurant. There was an apology from the manager. I would like to emphasize that I don't comment on the restaurant and its management, because you can't always choose your staff.

A Bavarian economy, plain and simple ambience, but it is completely sufficient. I had seen the wonderful roast pork online with a great crust, which shouldn't be missed. I was very disappointed in the restaurant - there was no traditional pork roast made from pork loin, pork shoulder or pork leg. It was a rolled roast with very, very little crust. The dumplings were too firm, the bread dumpling must be fluffy. The potato dumpling was at the limit. Well, and the sauce was too thick and had a very strange smell, beer sauce yes. Coleslaw was good. The waiter was friendly and waited 25 minutes for coffee. Although it wasn't that busy, it was around 1:30 p.m. I think it's a shame when you post pictures of food on the internet and what you actually get on your plate isn't identical.

Actually an emergency solution - but then the best decision of the day. . The food is traditionally Bavarian, very tasty, sensational sauce for the duck, crispy, the schnitzels are very good and the vegetarian food is also specially prepared. And at the end, probably the best Kaiserschmarren we have ever eaten in Munich.

Haben uns heute spontan für qualitatives, hochwertiges und traditionell bayrisches Essen entschieden und sind hier bei euch eingekehrt. Nachdem wir schon öfters mal waren, wussten wir, was uns erwartet! Nachdem ich selbst aus Miesbach komme, (Tegernsee ist mein Geburtsort) war ich natürlich sehr interessiert, woher auf der Dessert Karte das Eis kommt -Hof Eis aus Miesbach… Nachdem ich die Bedienung drauf angesprochen habe, meinte sie nur es kommt aus Miesbach! Daraufhin habe ich ihr mitgeteilt, dass Miesbach über 7000 Einwohner hat und der Hofname sehr interessant wäre. Darauf ging sie leider nicht ein und verschwand… Meine Vorspeiseesr ein Knaller (Roastbeef) nun konnte das Highlight kommen und zwar eine Viertel Ente mit Blaukraut und einem Kartoffelknödel. Nachdem die Bedienung fragte, ob alles recht sei, muss ich ihr mitteilen, dass die Ente trocken war, die Sauce total versalzen und das Blaukraut auch geschmacklich nicht ging! Haben der Bedienung auch erklärt, dass alle drei Personen, die am Tisch saßen, probiert haben!!! Sie meinte nur sie gebe es in der Küche weiter kam dann noch mal zurück, um zu fragen, ob wir ein Dessert wollen und ich meinte dann nur danke wir sind geschmacklich bedient, aber mehr kam dann leider auch nicht mehr… (Preisnachlass eine Entschuldigung oder sonst irgendetwas in der Art, was dem Preis des Hauptgang gerechtfertigt hätte, auch war klar ersichtlich, dass ich nicht aufgegessen habe) Ambiente hat auch nur einen Stern verdient, Tisch war klebrig und bröselig.

Since I come from Miesbach myself (Tegernsee is my birthplace) I was of course very interested in where the ice cream on the dessert menu comes from - Hof Eis aus Miesbach... After I asked the waitress about it, she just said it comes from Miesbach! I then told her that Miesbach has over 7,000 inhabitants and that the farm name was very interesting. Unfortunately she didn't respond to that and disappeared... My starter was a blast (roast beef) and now the highlight could come: a quarter of duck with red cabbage and a potato dumpling. After the waiter asked if everything was okay, I had to tell her that the duck was dry, the sauce was totally oversalted and the red cabbage didn't taste good either! We also explained to the waitress that all three people sitting at the table tried it!!! She just said she had it in the kitchen and then came back to ask if we wanted a dessert and I then just said, thank you, we were well served, but unfortunately that was all there was to it. Ambience only deserved one star, table was sticky and crumbly.

I always enjoyed being here. Today I stood in front of closed doors 😱. Who knows what's going on here? Another tragic case of Bavarian pub dying 👿? Will it reopen?

Great food, fast service Excellent prices considering that you are in Munich. I ate here 3 times over the weekend I was in August for a concert. Super recommended! The accompanying salad for the Wiener schnitzel was phenomenal

I took my husband here for authentic German food and it delivered! The inside was so cozy and the food was perfect. They accommodated our large group and my gluten intolerance without any issue. We will be back and we will recommend to any friends traveling to Munich!

Must visit. Best Wirtshaus in Bayern! Where classic homemade bavarian kitchen meets the high cooking standards. Keeping the standard with making each component of the dish from scratch is the key today. And this kitchen with Chef Mohlheinrich is delivering it constantly. From appetizer to dessert you will enjoy it, with regular changing weekly and seasonal menu. Chef will also come out to get the feedback from the guests, which is rare to see and important in this days. Only place in Munich to visit if you do not want to dissapoint your friends, family or business colleges. We visited few times in last year and never left dissapointed. From handmade Spätzle, real hearthy broths and sauces, perfect prepared meats/fish and homemade desserts (best Kaiserschmarrn in MUC, real handmade Bayerische Creme, perfect seasonal Creme Brulee, awesome Scheiterhofen-Breadpuding, etc.) Polite and helpful service makes the visit even more like home feeling. Great choice of different beers from Ayinger Brauerei! Rare to find. Guys, keep it going and see you soon!

Food tastes average but definitely feels overpriced for the taste and Quality. The problem with this place isn’t the food but the service. Waiting staff didn’t really help with cleaning unused items from the table or explain the menu. When they brought me bottled water I asked for tab but only to find tab water is $4 euro per glass. They didn’t explain that to me either. I argued with them about the $8 euro tab water (2 glasses), they said it’s the German rule and they didn’t even charge me service fee so I should be thankful. I asked the owner why they charge me for tab water he responded “Munich is an expensive city and I have to pay for staff to wait for table”. At the end the owner waived the charge but was very unpleasant to deal with. I wouldn’t recommend this place because of its average tasting/over priced food and rude service. P.S. the owner responded to my review within an hour and I had to LMFAO over his last remark. Oh well, I guess it’s not a full tourist experience if only good things occur.

Restaurant serving traditional Bavarian cuisine near the Rotkreuzplatz metro station. The decor is quite typical for such restaurants in a classic style. We visited on Saturday morning, there were no problems with boarding, most of the seats were free. Something unusual is beer from the Ayinger brewery, which is a rarity in Munich, where establishments usually serve beer from more popular brands. The menu itself is not very large, but has a list of all the main dishes of Bavarian cuisine. We took obatsda, roast pork and duck. Everything was very tasty, large portions, with a side dish of dumplings, cabbage and gravy. The meat was fried to a golden crispy crust; I wanted to eat every dish to the last crumb. The downside is that the food took a relatively long time to arrive by Munich standards - usually the order is brought almost immediately, but here the food took about half an hour to arrive. The waitress was not very friendly, she spoke dryly when asked to round up the amount on the bill - she added about 15% to the bill. A little excessive for a completely ordinary service. There was also no liquid soap in the restroom.

Great Bavarian food outside of the tourist area. We had the roasted duck and it was very tasty, as well as the local desert with ice cream. The staff is very professional and we even got to talk with the chef who gave some great recommendations for what to do in the area. Highly recommend!

Typical beer bar with good cuisine

Food was a pleasure, service was friendly. In my opinion, this is where you get the best Kaiserschmarrn in the city. Roast pork is also highly recommended! It's a shame that the terrace hardly gets any sun.

The food at Ayinger on Rotkreuzplatz is really delicious – typically Bavarian and with high-quality ingredients. However, the prices are a bit higher. The rooms are very comfortable and invite you to linger, but it can get quite loud inside, especially when it is busy. All in all, a great address for a relaxed evening with good food!

Ein bayrisches Gasthaus, wie es sein soll. Der Koch setzt auf der traditionellen Speisekarte eigene tolle Akzente! Auch der Service stimmt und das Bier schmeckt nach wie vor wunderbar. Klare Empfehlung!

For us (as Bavarians) the Ayinger on Rotkreuzplatz is one of the best Bavarian restaurants in the city. All dishes are lovingly prepared and taste of the highest level. Best pork knuckle in town. The fries are also excellent. The service is always very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!

On 8/16, we arrived in Munich, and we came here for dinner. Such a quaint restaurant. Everyone was so nice, we even met the chef. ALL the food was delicious, so good we came back on Sunday before we left. Unfortunately the food was not as good. We had the same dishes minus the desserts we left so disappointed 😞 what a bummer!!!

I'm very impressed with the kitchen, apparently the boss himself is behind the stove - it's hard to believe that there are still trained staff in Munich who love their job!!! I had the onion roast, perfect is almost an understatement! In the sauce, for example Do you taste every single ingredient - Mondamin nil.. Let's go and keep it up!!!
