Atmosphere and decor are just right to devour the best schnitzel in all of Munich! One of my favorite little spots in the world!

Small and wonderful. We arrived 15 minutes before closing time. We received very friendly service, and the food was fresh and of excellent quality. The ambiance is so wonderful. In the middle of the sea of ​​houses, it has a mountain hut feel. GREAT!!!

I made a reservation in advance with a flight attendant friend. It's a popular, laid-back restaurant with regulars, so the seats are always full. Naturally, we were able to enjoy a leisurely, delicious meal. The interior is small and homey, with a warm atmosphere. The German food was delicious and the portions were satisfying. It's a 5-6 minute walk from the U4 station.

My grandfather comes from a German heritage and my grandma would make Snitzel for the whole family. During my entire vacation to Munich for Oktoberfest in 2023, nothing quite hit the mark until Naumann's Hüttnwirt! Normally one needs a reservation, but they were willing to help out some naive Americans! It's an incredibly fun atmosphere, great personalized attention, and the food reminds me of the spectacular food my grandma makes. This place is worth the journey and the effort to make a reservation.

It's a heart-warming place full of positive energy even for a tourist. Was first welcomed with 'No English menu, but I will translate for you', then followed by a generous portion of Münchner Schnitzel. The most German interior you could get. Very clean restaurant. Cash only.

Totally overpriced place, very unfriendly staff, food only served until 8:00 PM. After that, you'll be spoken to rudely.

"Twenty-first century"? In Munich, Bavaria, Germany, and Central Europe, only cash in 2025 – perhaps with a "vulgar ideology" surrounding it? But there are plenty of alternatives nearby. And if the customers don't mind...

I came with my family who was visiting me from France. We had the most lovely time!!! Everything was perfect, from the food, the typical bavarian atmosphere and of course the delightful service. Going to a bavarian restaurant, very much outside of the city and definitely not touristic was worrying for me as I do not speak a perfect German. I was scared do be not well received because of it, as it can often be the case in the city... But the two owners completely blew away my worries and showed the most patience and kindness I have ever seen in Munich. It was just amazing. I would choose to come again and again when I want a delicious bavarian meal. It was the highlight of my family's stay in Munich. Vielen Dank 🌟

I didn't arrive until 9:00 PM, and the kitchen is open until 8:00 PM. I still got fries and salad. Everything was wonderful, I'll be back...

The best traditional Bavarian restaurant in Munich. It is very small and comfortable so be sure to call ahead for a table if you want to eat. The food is incredible and the service is top notch! The two owners do everything themselves and still make time to sit and speak with guests.

What a wonderful place! I received a very warm and friendly welcome, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend stopping here; it's definitely not a tourist trap. However, you should make a reservation well in advance, as there aren't many tables and it's very popular.

Absolutely recommended! Rarely have I had such a delicious schnitzel. Freshly beaten and prepared. Crispy breading, delicious fried potatoes, excellent veal. The ambience is also comfortable. Service very nice and accommodating! We'd love to come back. Please note that there are only a few places available in the "hut" and reservations should be made well in advance... Or come spontaneously a little earlier. Warm food only until 8 p.m.! All in all... I'd love to come back.

I visit this place often, especially if I have visitors in the city. The service is impeccable! We’ve had the same waitress every time and she is a wonderfully warm force of sunshine! The food is top notch and you get plenty for what you order. It’s one of my favorite spots for German cuisine and ambiance. Make a reservation! In the winter, the cozy inside gets full. It’s so nice sitting outdoors in great weather, too. It’s a must! I already can’t wait to go back!

Tiny but cosy place with good food

I was there with my little son and we received exceptionally friendly service. My son immediately got Lego to play with and the food was excellent! We were definitely not there for the last time! Absolutely clear recommendation!

Was there alone and was treated very nicely. The schnitzel was very good and the price was fair. Overall very worthwhile. I hadn't been able to get a seat the night before - and that was on a normal Wednesday evening... So it's best to make a reservation.

The food was absolutely great, the only lady in service was on point for the number of guests, but the calculation was still a bit tight. A large number of guests had to be turned away because all the seats were taken and we got the last two seats without a reservation. So definitely make a reservation.

We were there for a family celebration. There was a snack plate. It tasted as delicious as in a mountain hut, the service was as friendly as in a mountain hut and it looked like in a mountain hut. If there had been a view of the mountains, six stars would have been appropriate.

Nice ambience with a very high feel-good factor, food is fantastically good and fairly priced, service is extremely nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Nina is a saint. Waltzed in here at 10 during Oktoberfest and she hooked us up. This place is authentic with locals and very warm and friendly. Don't even need to go to the city. Love this place.

The best food I've had in all of Germany! It was very cosy and felt like a genuine Bavarian inn. The staff were wonderful also, I don't speak a word of German and the hostess took the time to read through and explain the entire menu for me. A restaurant you need to visit if you're ever in Munich and want to try to authentic German/Bavarian cuisine!

Super cute place! The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy, you feel like you are in a cabin in the mountains. The service was super friendly and the food is very freshly prepared - we even heard our schnitzel being pounded :-) You can also choose the meat for all schnitzel dishes, which I think is particularly good.

At Naumann’s Hüttenwirt it always tastes very good. Isarschnitzel, Kasspätzle are all delicious - but especially the Healthy Gickerl. Portions are very large, everything is great in terms of quality and taste. You get more than enough for your money. Very nice service!

Naumann's Hüttenwirt is by far one of the best places to eat schnitzel and other Bavarian dishes. I love the meat patties, they are really damn good! The chef has really learned his craft. Here you can still cook like you would at home. The service is very friendly.

Hut keeper is brilliant. Unfortunately, the last time I was there was 12 years ago with my late Spetz'l. Afterwards I didn't have much time to go out to eat. But I'm going to attack that this year. The blonde boss and her husband (brilliant cook and motorcycle enthusiast) are so loving and cool. Simply insane. I have been a chef myself for 30 years. Especially the sausage salad and the schnitzel with Jöger sauce or the unique Hüttenpfander'l. Gigantic. Just come by and see for yourself. We always enjoy going to Munich's Schnitzel King. The schnitzels are available in many variations and an absolute recommendation. But all other dishes are also a real culinary delight. You can tell that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and passion. The ambience is rustic and harmonious and the service is quick and extremely friendly.

Antje is the heart and soul of this wonderful, small and very personal restaurant and Christian is unique as a cook and boss. The food is great and the beer is excellent. Switching from Augustiner to Tegernsee beer wasn't a deterioration 😊 And I would particularly like to recommend the Bergsteigerschnitzel.

Was already or only the second time at the Hüttnwirt. Both times it was simply wonderful...the warm welcome from Astrid already suggests a great evening. The food is incredibly good and plentiful. I hope that I will have the opportunity to stop at the Hüttnwirt again soon. :-)

The only thing I can "complain" about is that we didn't notice this gem sooner. But that's our mistake ;) Excellent food, good standard menu and mostly (seasonal) additional dishes, it always tasted very good and the service leaves nothing to be desired. But please don't everyone come now, otherwise the few places will be gone more often (fun!). Oasis of well-being!

A perfect place to be there with colleagues. Very good hut feeling. If you want to taste good liquor (Schnaps) this is the place for you. If you want tasty burger, this is the right place for you.

Reservations are strongly recommended / needed. Call ahead. The place is small and cozy. Hospitality (owner?) kindly recommended other places along with directions to get there, when I arrived without a reservation. After mentioning that I just wanted a beer and a curry wurst, they made room for me and I was seated and provided with a lovely and quick meal at a reasonable price - despite not having a reservation. The pear schnapps was lovely.

We celebrated our 40th birthday and I can only recommend everyone to celebrate here. Antje and Christian did such a great job. The food and service was excellent 😀. Eine kleines Lokal mit treuer Stammkundschaft. Sehr hübsches Ambiente mit herzlicher Bedienung. Leckere Schnitzel vor Ort und eventuelle Tagesspezialitäten wie Fleischpflanzerl! Es ist besser vorher immer anzurufen und zu reservieren. !!! Wichtig: Nur Barzahlung möglich !!!

Enjoyed the cozy mountain cabin vibe. We tried the schnitzel and dessert—both amazing! After requesting an English menu the hostess translate the entire menu for me. The menu struck the perfect balance, neither overwhelming nor too short. Also, loved the schnapps served on a cool wooden block. Reserving a table is a good idea for a smooth visit. Cash only
