Incredibly delicious food, super friendly staff, and an atmosphere that couldn't be more rustic. I take my hat off to you and look forward to seeing you again!

The food was excellent! If you go near opening time, you can be serenaded with old Jazz music while sipping an excellent tasting craft beer. We are visiting from the US and wanted to try authentic Bavarian food.

Munich-style restaurant with Bavarian cuisine. We spent a lovely evening here with nine people after making a table reservation. The restaurant was busy, but a few seats were still available. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. We felt very comfortable here. This was partly due to the friendly and attentive service. We'd love to come back and are already looking forward to delicious food and freshly tapped drinks!

The food was truly delicious—traditional and typically Bavarian, of course. We sat outside, which was really pleasant given the quiet street. The service was friendly and came out regularly to clear away food or take new orders. Prices are typical for Munich.

We decided to visit at short notice and are still absolutely thrilled. The food was absolutely delicious (roast pork), the beer was excellent, and the rosé was also very good. The service was absolutely excellent, and the surroundings, even on the street, were very quiet and without the noisy brewery atmosphere. Highly recommended.

German cuisine, delicious food. It can be a bit noisy and cramped inside.

WOW!! There is an authentic German restaurant back in Phoenix, Arizona but that can't touch this place. Not only was the best German food I've ever had in my life, it was truly one of the best overall meals I've ever had. I've been to a couple of Michelin stared restaurants in Ireland and I would choose this place over those any day. I'm impressed with the service as well, the guys were super nice and accommodating to me being an English only speaker. Thank you all so much.

The food is great, not cheap, but fair. It can get quite loud inside, but the outside is great! Unfortunately, our service was not good; he never asked if we wanted anything, and he had to ask for two out of four drink orders again.

Not a typical pub atmosphere. Our snack platter for two was amazing. The Kaiserschmarrn for our daughter was only available as an adult version and cost €17.90. We had previously spent a week on vacation in Austria. This was the most expensive thing we've ever had. Otherwise, the service was exceptionally friendly.

As a "single eater," you're used to suffering. I made a reservation for two because the app doesn't allow reservations for one person. Still, I got a nice table in the beer garden. Thank you for that! That's not a given these days. The roast pork is perfect. Mine isn't any better. Thank you so much, and I look forward to my next visit! Hopefully, I won't be alone.

I had a side salad for starters and the Bavarian Gröstel for my main course. Both were really tasty and of good quality. However, the Gröstel had a bit too much gravy for my taste. The service was a little late to our table, but otherwise very friendly and helpful. It can get a bit noisy inside when there are a lot of customers, but the seating is still nice. You can also sit outside with a view of the street. Overall, a pleasant experience and definitely recommended!

June 2025. Good restaurant, good food, good beer. Service was friendly, young... and at times overwhelmed. Indoors, 3 meters from the bar, bringing drinks between 20 and 30 minutes after ordering is suboptimal. Recommended.

Very nice place with a good range of food and drinks on the menu and all of it tasted really good. Nice staff, fluent in both German and English. We got four meals between five people and it was a good amount of food. Really nice location with lots of outdoor seating in a quiet street.

we had dinner here with prior reservation and were very pleased with both the food and the atmosphere. We ordered the local dish gröstl and vegetarian option the tomato dumplings, and both were served with a side salad. We were very happy and satisfied with the dishes.

Small place in a very quiet area outside the center. Preferable places outside, in a nice setting: fast and professional service, good meat dishes, more or less typical, with side dishes. Bill in line with the prices of the city.

Disaster Roast beef with onions without onions or sauce Then don't call it that!!! And all for 36 euros! Service is okay. Never again, unfortunately.

A great insider tip – we found the food there to be of significantly higher quality and therefore better than in the larger, more well-known restaurants. The service was absolutely first-class; it couldn't be friendlier or better, and the prices are good! We're looking forward to our next trip to Munich and will definitely eat here again.

Traditional and a bit hip, definitely not stuffy. A good mix of Bavarian cuisine with a touch of lightness. Friendly and cool service, good food, tasty and filling. Everything's good!

We visited the restaurant in December 2024. The food was really tasty, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. After dinner we ordered two more beers, reminded the waiter once, but ended up waiting for half an hour in vain and then left. Although the restaurant is very small, our table was unfortunately ignored

Great service, friendly and accommodating and really delicious food. There is a real Bavarian atmosphere in the interior as well as on the terrace. Before I took the photo, I just had to try it. The spinach cheese spaetzle and salad were more than successful! With that in mind, see you next time. I'd love to come back :)

Decent economy! The boss just can't be bothered. Scheffe serves an apple spritzer in a good mood 😉 and I always feel very comfortable here. (Sometimes the Tilman also sits at the counter.)

Excellent food. Don't forget to order the chocolate cake with compote and vanilla ice cream.

If there is more choice for people who have gluten intolerance, it would be given the full 5 stars. For everyone else: It's delicious here, there's a super friendly team serving you and the price is right too. It's better to reserve in advance.

The service was perfect, the food nice. It was our first time trying Bavarian food and we really enjoyed it!

We had reserved a table to eat but were given one at the bar that didn't suit us. We then got another table which was re-ordered at 7:45 p.m. But the food was great.

Excellent food as you would expect here, the rest takes some getting used to. Perhaps inspired by the name, we expected dirndl service over 50 with wood in front of the hut and a greeting. Instead, girls in jeans who whistle “Helloooo” at you and use the first name of the guests????? The table we reserved weeks ago turned out to be a climbing pole behind the counter, so I switched to a table reserved for others, so I ate in piecemeal, drank 5 fewer beers, bad luck!

Rarely have I had such a good roast pork. Plus a good beer. Worlds better than at the Hofbräuhaus. Nice little inn. Unfortunately the Pumuckl wasn't there today.

There were four of us in the pub, three of us had the worst, and all three had massive gastrointestinal problems after an hour. Never again

Very tasty beer combined with delicious food. The food menu offers light AND “heavy” food. Tilmanns Hell is a very good beer choice if you also like pale ale. The 2nd tap also has changing beers on tap, for me the Jakobator from the Munich Research Brewery.

Great food, very good and friendly service. The kitchen was open longer especially for us and the service staff also stayed longer. We were very happy about sharing schnapps with the service and the good atmosphere. The food was excellent and the beers were excellent. Highly recommended!

Typical Bavarian restaurant. Very cozy and lovingly furnished. The service was attentive and very friendly to us. I would have spinach spaetzle. Portions are sufficient and tasty. Unfortunately, the fried onions didn't seem homemade but rather bought, which for me is not possible with spaetzle. Otherwise very tasty - also the salad.

In terms of appearance, it's a classic Bavarian tavern. The selection of excellent beers is remarkable (e.g. Tilmans light and dark from the tap; Hopf from the bottle) even the non-alcoholic hop chopper “Easy Rider” was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. First of all, we had Obazda with red onions and crusty bread and I would have it again just for the bread. The Obazda was light and not as sour as usual - for me the best Obazda I have ever eaten. The braised ox cheeks with mashed potatoes and carrot vegetables was really good but the roast pork from straw pigs with bread or potato dumplings and coleslaw was by no means worse. On the daily menu there were great venison sausages with great red cabbage (or red cabbage as they call it) but whatever it was, it was absolutely delicious All in all a great evening with delicious food at reasonable prices - again at any time!!

A cozy Bavarian Wirtshaus offering delicious, hearty food with a concise, meat-heavy menu complemented by 2-3 vegetarian options and a fish dish. The Fleischpflanzerl were juicy and perfectly seasoned. The pretzel dumpling had a great consistency and was ideal for soaking up the creamy mushroom sauce it was paired with. The standout dish was the fire-smoked salmon, which had a rich smoky aroma and warm, earthy flavors - truly memorable. The restaurant was bustling and fully booked, and unfortunately the service didn't seem quite able to cope. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive despite being asked for our order multiple times by different servers. The food, though, was served promptly after ordering. Overall, a great spot for authentic Bavarian cuisine, but be prepared for a potential wait during busy times.

Friends make everything better. What a comfortable restaurant serving up amazing food. Their beer offering is unique and so tasty. A great mix of traditional Bavarian favorites with enough character to have this place stand out.

I arrived shortly after opening with no reservation and sat at the bar. The Ochsenbacken (ox cheek) was delicious, and so was the beer!

Food very good, opinion of the whole group. What was positive was the pleasant noise level. It was easy to have a conversation, which is not always the case in Bavarian businesses.

Good economy with nice service. When I visit a Bavarian restaurant for the first time, I always order the roast pork. The service was quick and attentive, the meat was tender and both the crust and the potato dumplings were very good. The sauce could be spicier and thicker. So much for food. It should be emphasized that they always have changing beers on tap. I like that kind of thing.

Went to the Eder Wirtshaus in Westend for the first time yesterday. I'm thrilled. Modern interpretation of a Bavarian inn. Clear menu, good food, nice service and - very surprisingly - a very international audience. For people from Munich it's more of an insider tip, but it probably has a good reputation internationally - rightly so ;-)
