I had the Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. The breading was to die for! The potatoes were also great and the cucumber salad was also really strong. Unfortunately, the schnitzel itself was a bit stringy. I can highly recommend the bright one! The service was good.

Located right on the main street, close to the popular area. Small, clear map. The waiters were really great and very, very friendly and attentive. Food was good, fairly priced. Good beer, good drinks. Very clear recommendation. Toilet clean.

Unfortunately, the Viennese style schnitzel consisted of several parts, and some of the fried potatoes were very burnt. The young man who welcomed us was super friendly, the service from the other colleagues was a bit inattentive.

Were there again yesterday to eat schnitzel. Simply the best schnitzels between Tyrol and Hamburg. We'd love to come back

I actually really enjoy going to Mitterhofer. And that has certainly been the case for several years. The fact that the service depends on the fullness of the store is totally fine. Yesterday, however, the experience was overall really poor. The service was just bad. You had to ask for the bread for the appetizer platter, you had to ask for the spoon for the risotto, new drinks were put on the table without the empty glasses being taken away. The Wiener Schnitzel was ordered without butter sauce and arrived soaked in fat. Instead of just filling one part of the store with them, families with babies and small children were spread out everywhere, so the noise level was correspondingly high. You can have a good evening, but you really never know what to expect when you visit. A little more demanding and a consistent level would be cool.

Good Austrian cuisine with dumplings, roasts and schnitzel. There is always a special beer on offer, and the host is unique and always available for a chat.

Always a pleasure to eat here! The Wiener Schnitzel is to die for and the dumplings are super delicious (even though I'm not a dumpling fan at all 🤪). The service also works great and puts you in a good mood. So all in all, totally recommended!

Seit Monaten wieder einmal im Mitterhofer. Wir haben zu zweit wunderbar gegessen, die rustikalen Gerichte sind auf hohem Niveau. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Very disappointing experience for my birthday. We were all freezing, the room just didn't get warm. Then waited 1.5 hours for the food. 80 percent of the food was just cold. When we assembled it, the response was bored and annoyed: "Then just warm it up again..." The side dishes for all meals were also incorrect or were forgotten. We had to run after drinks and our wishes were only asked at the beginning We were very disappointed, we went home upset, cold and hungry. Thanks for nothing!

We had made a reservation and the service staff were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, mistakes were made when taking the order, but the alternative was also very tasty. Unfortunately, it took a long time until we got the Kaiserschmarrn - we thought we had been forgotten. Otherwise, I found the rooms to be very noisy and the sanitary rooms urgently needed a refresh. The path through the "junky corner" shocked me a lot... there is a nice solution there.

The food was good and very tasty, but the service wasn't always great, which is a shame. We (five people) didn't have the impression that anyone was actively checking on us or wanting to notice us. It's also not exactly polite to turn off the music for guests who are still waiting for desserts - that felt a lot like being kicked out. There was a constant unpleasant smell in the toilet rooms and in front of them.

What's wrong with Mitterhofer? We come here regularly and have always been very enthusiastic. Our last visit last Saturday wasn't so nice. Starting with the service, which wasn't really friendly (the male waiter). When we were seated at the table, a basket of bread with spread was almost slammed onto the table without any comment, totally careless and disinterested. The Wiener Schnitzel that I've loved so far was good, but much smaller than usual, even though I ordered the large one. When asked why it is much smaller than usual, a rather strange explanation came up: the schnitzel contracts a lot when frying and therefore becomes smaller. I'm a chef myself, and I was so taken aback by this answer that I didn't know what to say. Meat only contracts if it is of poor quality because it contains too much water... Of course, the catering industry has to save money and portions are becoming smaller everywhere for the same price. But the price has been increased here and I'm happy to pay even more if the price-performance ratio is right. It didn't fit here anymore. Given the expensive single-vineyard wine, 0.2 liters for just under eleven euros, I'm pretty sure that the wine had been open for a long time. Not so good with a white wine because it loses its aroma. It tasted stale and bland. Overall, you didn't really feel well looked after by the service, you always had to fight for attention to order more drinks. We would have liked to drink more and eat dessert, but we just didn't feel well anymore. It's a shame about Mitterhofer!

Nice cozy atmosphere. First of all good communication, we had previously asked if we could stay past 8pm as our visit was still stuck at the hotel. "We'll get something there" ... The food came with the wrong side dish, but it wasn't taken back, the correct side dish was delivered about 30' later, when we were already full. As an apology there was a schnapps (1st star), the beer was excellent (2nd star). The small group had different opinions about the food. After an hour, massive pressure was put on us to free the table for those waiting, who, wrapped up in thick winter clothes, had already been sitting on our laps for some time. Our guests were freezing, even though they were sitting directly next to the heater and the temperatures outside were well into the plus range. All in all, devastating, a shame... we won't be coming back...

The service was friendly but very slow. We waited a long time for the drinks and even longer for the food. But 4 out of 6 meals were no longer even lukewarm... The schnitzel was very manageable. The Kaiserschmarrn reconciled us a little. It's a shame because it's actually a nice restaurant. Dear Mitterhofer, there is a better way.

Very nice, uncomplicated location. Cozy dining room, very friendly service. The food selection is limited, but very tasty. We found the meat dishes relatively expensive, but they were also good and now €28 for the Wiener Schnitzel is probably normal. Highly recommended for a cozy evening with friends!

I can't think of anything to even warrant a single star, but let's start at the beginning: You're freezing in the dining room, even though 90 minutes had already passed since it opened and we were sitting right next to the heater and it was plus degrees outside. The bread only comes on the third attempt, and there are only a few guests who came after us and already have bread. Two dishes from the order are then completely forgotten. When the dumplings finally arrive, they are cold and go back. The fried potatoes for the children were also forgotten, as they were dry and charred as a side dish with the schnitzel, which was our luck. The veal schnitzel tastes rancid and stringy, there are no vegetables or at least mayo to cover up the bad taste. The price is a disgrace! We are offered cranberries, but then not brought. Completely overwhelmed in the service and in the kitchen, even though we were among the first guests. Since we are cold and very disappointed, we go home as quickly as we can, a total failure that doesn't deserve a star!

Ein wirklich schlechtes Schnitzel (Kalb), was dann auch noch knappe 30€ gekostet hat. Im Raum war es zu kalt und von Service kann man nicht sprechen. Alles in allem eine große Enttäuschung!

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht trotz Entschuldigung: Lange Wartezeit, ein bestelltes Gericht wurde vergessen, als es endlich kam, war es nur lauwarm. Eine Beilage kam gar nicht. Und wir haben gefroren.

Cute restaurant I wanted to try since moving into the neighborhood, but I had a bad experience. The waitress spilled a dish over the table and myself. She apologized (which was of course appreciated) but I still needed to clean the area around me. She didn't even replace the cucumber salad that was supposed to come with my dish which even spilled in my coat. She also didn't make up for it with any good customer service afterwards either, or no nice gesture to make up for the pretty bad accident. While the food was good, the service unfortunately was not in my experience.

The main dish was good and delicious, sweet no bad too. Not the best place to come in my opinion but they have comfort food and everything you need.

Das war die schlechteste Ente, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Die Haut nicht kross, das Fett unter der Haut nicht ausgebacken. Das Fleisch war weitgehend ungewürzt und fest. Der Grünkohl war geschmacklich total daneben. Der Rotkohl war gut, das Schnitzel Wiener Art von meinem Begleiter war okay.

Wir haben gestern dort gegessen und mussten eine Stunde und 40 Minuten auf das Essen warten. Das Essen war sehr gut. Als es Zeit für den Nachtisch war, sagte man uns, es täte ihnen leid, dass sie die Küche bereits geschlossen hatten, ohne die vielen Stunden zu berücksichtigen, die wir bereits gewartet hatten.Dabei war es 22:05 Uhr und die Küche schließt laut Zeitplan um 22:00 Uhr. Ich denke, dass sich das Restaurant in solchen Situationen für die Verzögerung in der Küche entschuldigen und seinen Kunden einen besseren Service bieten sollte.

Purtroppo, terza volta che ci vado, cibo buono ma la temperatura della sala è sempre bassa.

Wir waren in kleiner Gruppe verabredet in einem anderen Lokal in der Nähe. Da dieses überraschenderweise geschlossen hatte, sind wir hier gelandet. Wir waren also dankbar, ein Lokal gefunden zu haben. Leider war es eiskalt. Die Heizung war aus, aus dem Heizkörper lief das Wasser über den Fußboden. Selbst mit Winterjacke und Schal ging das Frieren weiter. Das Essen hat uns geschmeckt, die Käseknödel waren gut, Gulasch und Käsespätzle wohl auch. Wir waren wie gesagt froh, ein Lokal für unser Treffen gefunden zu haben. Der Service war quasi nicht existent, also sehr unaufmerksam. Freundlich, aber an Umsatz nicht interessiert. Wir hatten einen lustigen Abend, obwohl wir im Wirtshaus zum Mitterhofer eingekehrt sind. Ich für mich kann nur sagen, obwohl gebürtige Kreuzbergerin: wenn ich österreichisch essen möchte: ich suche mir ein anderes Lokal. Bemerkenswert finde ich, dass die Kälte also kein echter Ausnahmezustand war :-)…

Beim Wirtshaus zum Mitterhofer schwankte ich zwischen 3 und 4 Punkten. Wir trafen uns hier mit Freunden und hatten einen durchaus schönen Abend. Das Essen schmeckte sehr lecker und war teilweise üppig (kleine Portion Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb war sehr groß). Die Knödel wurden mit Begeisterung gegessen. Allerdings empfand ich das Ambiente als sehr kühl. Trotz Reservierung wollte man uns zunächst den Tisch direkt neben dem Vorhang zur Toilette anbieten. Der Tisch vis a vis vom Eingang war besser, allerdings blies hier wegen pausenlos nach draußen rennendem Personal permanent kalte Luft in unsere Richtung, was niemanden störte. Außer uns. Wen das nicht stört, der findet hier leckere österreichische Küche zu zivilen Preisen. Im Sommer draußen zu sitzen, kann ich mir bei einem weiteren Besuch gut vorstellen.

Also suitable for a working dinner. The schnitzel was excellent, for someone with a smaller appetite I recommend choosing a smaller portion. The service was 100%, both ladies were excellent and gave great advice.

War zum erstenmal dort aufgrund einer Empfehlung von Freunden. Das Essen war der absolute Hammer. Das kalbsgulasch mit semmelknödel war einfach nur traumhaft. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen! Der Kaiserschmarrn war auch hervorragend. Ein Stern Abzug im Service weil es gestern etwas höhere Wartezeiten beim Service waren, was aber nicht allzu dramatisch ist wenn man in guter Gesellschaft kommt. Alles in allem kann ich dieses Lokal nur empfehlen.

Lovely bar and restaurant with mostly German food. Had the salad with baked Camembert 🧀🍻. It was actually really good. My friends had the schnitzel, which was also great. Great atmosphere during the summer. Interior is old-school and kind of funny.

Wow. Lange nicht mehr so ein Restauranterlebnis gehabt. Personal war komplett überfordert. Gegessen haben wir nach 90 Minuten Wartezeit. Schnitzel OK, Suppe leider null abgeschmeckt. Bestellte Getränke wurden mehrfach "vergessen". Highlight war, als der Chef mit seinem knatternden Motoroller losgerollt ist und dabei die draußen sitzenden Gäste mit Lärm und noch viel besser mit Abgasen eingenebelt hat. Kann man sich nicht ausdenken.

Une ambiance très agréable avec des serveuses qui le sont tout autant. Une bière servie à la PERFECTION ! La nourriture est très bonne (petit détail sur le tsatsiki en accompagnement très agréable). J'aurai bien apprécié quelques speatzle en plus avec mon schnitzel, car on en mangerais sans s'arrêter !

Sehr gut gekocht! Wir hatten Wiener Schnitzel, Rindergulasch und Käsespätzle, dazu Kellerbier. Leider hat der Kaiserschmarrn, der uns am Nebentisch angelacht hat, dann nicht mehr reingepasst. Nächstesmal aber ganz bestimmt...

Lecker und im Preis angemessen. Wir mussten etwas länger auf unser Essen warten, dies wurde vom Wirt aber auch vorher angesagt und es war Samstag Abend und krachend voll.

Richtig mega leckeres Wiener Schnitzel genauso wie die Bratkartoffeln das Gemüse und der Kaiserschmarrn alles ein Gedicht! Das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich und Preislich für das was geboten wurde Top! Das ganze Essen macht das nicht ganz so gelungene Ambiente wieder weg! Wir kommen sehr gern sehr oft wieder!

Naja… Das Essen (das verfügbar war) war OK aber nichts Besonderes! Die Vorspeise auf der Karte gab es leider nicht und ebenso wurde uns und auch dem Nebentisch gesagt, dass es keinen Kaiserschmarn bzw. Apfelschmarn am Freitag/ Wochenende gibt! Sprich 3 von 4 abgefragtes Gerichten schon mal nicht verfügbar… Schade irgendwie schlecht organisiert! Gibt bessere m.E. Alternativen in Berlin.

Unser Erlebnis hat bei uns keinen guten Eindruck hinterlassen. Das Restaurant war kalt, die Toiletten dreckig. Trotz wenig Besuch kam die Fritattensuppe als Vorspeise erst nach 30min Wartezeit und war geschmacklich nicht abgestimmt. Variationen an der Hauptspeise (statt Kartoffeln Bratkartoffeln) waren nicht möglich. Das Schnitzel war riesig, jedoch viel zu dünn und somit auch geschmacksneutral. Auf die Hauptspeise musste nach der Vorspeise erneut 25min gewartet werden.

Lovely place but overpriced and overrated! Our food took 2 hours to arrive as they forgot about us, and the table next to us. Our food then came too late to order a dessert. Staff weren't even apologetic and it cost over 5€ just for some water!!

Die Rezension bezieht sich auf den Innenraum. Die vielen vollbesetzten Tische sorgen im großen Innenraum für eine extreme Geräuschkulisse, gegen die man am Tisch im Gespräch ankämpfen muss. Da es vermutlich jedem so geht, potenziert sich die Lautstärke nur noch. Das schmälert den positiven Gesamteindruck und ist durchweg anstrengend. Das Essen ist gut, dauert aber bis es serviert wird (an einem stark besuchten Samstagabend) fast eine Stunde. Zwei der vier Essen waren nur lauwarm. Das Dessert dauerte eine weitere knappe Stunde und wir erhielten es nur, weil der Nebentisch das Warten auf das gleiche Dessert nach 1,5 h aufgegeben hatte und die Kellnerin stattdessen um die Rechnung bat. Der Teller wurde kurzerhand uns serviert. Über den Abend wurden wir von vier verschiedenen Personen bedient, es wurde nicht darauf geachtet, wenn die Getränke leer waren. Das Personal war für die Größe des Restaurants vermutlich unterbesetzt. Preise in Ordnung. Ambiente zu laut. Essen gut. Wir geben dem Ganzen evtl. eine weitere Chance auf der Terrasse im Sommer.

The schnitzel was amazing. Taking out 1 star out of the service because they do t accept credit cards. In 2023! In Berlin! Still if you have the cash, go for an amazing beer and schnitzel, you won't regret it.

We enjoyed a nice dinner sitting outside despite the cool Berlin evening. Service was a bit slower that I am used to, but then again, when on vacation, that is fine: more time to chat with family :) Food was tasty and the beer hit the spot. Only drawback to sitting outside was the fact that smokers would stand by the entrance, not too far from us, but that is not something to blame the restaurant, rather the lack of awareness and courtesy of smokers - something unfortunately very common for those who enjoy the cancer stick.

Went there for lunch. Quality of food is great and yummy. You can choose between Knödel and two types of Schnitzel for the main course. The offer different beers and wines. Share a Kaiserschmarrn with your mates. Service and Ambient can be improved a bit in terms of food serving style, decoration and attitude.

Ein uriges Restaurant, super netter Wirt & ausgezeichnete Speisen. Die Auswahl ist nicht zu groß, was sehr gut ist - sonst würde einem die Wahl noch schwerer fallen. Alles sehr, sehr lecker, zu fairen Preisen! Ein Besuch lohnt sich allemal!

Südtirol liegt in Italien. Der Südtiroler an sich fühlt alpin. Auf jeden Fall ist das Mitterhofer ein Ort der Gastlichkeit mit leckeren Besonderheiten aus der Küche. Und Schnitzel können sie! Übrigens kann man hier Select sprizz als Aperitif genießen. Wir kommen immer gerne!

Herbst 2020. Es ist bekannt, dass in wenigen Tagen die Restaurants erneut schließen werden. Beim Spaziergang im Kiez schnappe ich im vorbeigehen auf, wie der eine zum anderen mit bester Laune sagt: "Na, dann treffen wir uns bald wieder auf ein Schnitzelbrötchen beim Mitterhofer!" Hochwertige Zutaten, liebevoll zubereitet. Entspannte Atmosphäre und sehr nettes Personal. Noch dazu genügend vegane Optionen. Alles in allem ein richtig netter kleiner Italiener.

Der Laden hat die letzten Jahre extrem an Qualität und professionalität abgebaut ! Portionen sind kleiner geworden. Kellner bringen Vorspeise nach Hauptgang. Knödeltris mit Brennessel komplett ungenießbar. Entrecote der Tageskarte MUSS mit Soße bestellt werden ???! 4 Mal ne Chance gegeben nachdem ich jedes mal enttäuscht wurde. Reicht langsam

Unfassbar, wie kalt es dort war.😱☝️😱☝️ Draussen eisiger Wind mit 2 Grad und drinnen im Gastraum schon wenig Flair und wenn man die ganze Zeit friert ,kommt auch keine Behaglichkeit auf. Ich bin keine Frostbeule, eher das Gegenteil. Zum Glück war die Rosenkohl Suppe , super heiß und echt lecker. Ambiente.....spartanisch, nicht Vintage auch nicht shabby Chic, sondern abgerockt, trifft es ganz gut. Und es zieht (kalt) wie Hechtsuppe, an der Tür, wenn Gäste kommen und gehen. Stolze Preise. Irgendwie nicht stimmig, zu der, wie schon oben beschriebenen spartanischen Einrichtung. Im Minztee waren ungelogen 3. Blätter, Kostenpunkt 3€. 🙈☹️😱 Das war dann doch ein wenig zu viel "des guten".... Wurde dann aber vom Kellner reguliert. Kleine aber feine Karte. Dann haben wir noch eine Tafel im Gastraum gefunden, war zufällig, wo noch mehr Speisen erraten werden konnten. ( Als Kellner weiße ich meine Gäste auf die Tageskarte hin ) Die Kreide war verwischt und unleserlich. Das Essen ist aber wirklich lecker. Sechs Leute waren wir, alle Gerichte sehr lecker. Stolze Preise für die Lokalität. Mir fehlte da echt die Liebe für die Einrichtung und Wärme im Gastraum. Hätte echt Potential. Die Schnitzelei in Charlottenburg oder Berlin Mitte, da hat man feine Alpenküche, tolles "WARMES" Ambiente, mega aufmerksame, motivierte Mitarbeiter und das Kalbsschnitzel,mit dem warmen Hausgemachten Kartoffelsalat ist ein Gedicht. Versuch macht klug.

Wunderbarer Guasch, sehr reichlich und ganz wie "bei Muttern". Leider haben wir alle gefroren, deshalb die Punktabzüge. Wir kommen daher erst im Sommer wieder😉

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and service.

Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert, was am Wochenende sehr zu empfehlen ist. Das Essen hat relativ lange auf sich warten lassen. Das Wiener Schnitzel ist aber sehr lecker und auch die kleine Portion ausreichend, um satt zu werden. Der ausgewählte Wein von der Karte war leider nicht mehr verfügbar, es wurde aber eine gute Alternative angeboten. Für mich absolut nicht nachvollziehbar ist, dass bei Kartenzahlung eine extra Gebühr für diese erhoben wird. Zum Glück hatten wir ausreichend Bargeld dabei.
