The original Wiener Schnitzel were prepared and served very quickly. The roasted potatoes served with it were a taste highlight. The restaurant is definitely recommended.

One of the best Austrian Restaurants in Berlin Had dinner with my colleagues and tried octopus. People who loves octopus must try and also their Roasted Potato

I wasn’t too hungry so I just ordered a ceviche and did not like the carrots inside, why largely cut the carrots? I eat carrots normally but I had to fork out (literally) and segregate and eat all carrots in the end due to this mismatch of a dish. We sat on the street table which was lovely.

For me it's definitely the best Wiener Schnitzel in Berlin, great pannade, zero fat, preceded by an aged Vulcano ham from Styria. Plus a large selection of wines and friendly service. I would be happy to stop by here again!

Expensive for bad food. Small portions. The wine is also overpriced. The owner wanders around the restaurant with a sultan's tone but has only constructed a big lie. Putting on nice clothes does not mean knowing how to wear them.

I didn't have the biggest expectation as a vegetarian, but still was very disappointed. We ordered two different vegetarian dishes to try, and the Spätzle, despite being the least original option, were ok. I can not say the same for the Portobello Schitzel. I was expecting a big piece (you know, like a Schnitzel!), and ended up instead with three little fried mushrooms. The coating was different from the one used for the meat schnitzel (which was good) and it was all very blend. It lacked seasoning, texture, everything. On top of that, you need to pay extra for sides (potatoes, salad) even though the dishes are already pretty expensive. At these prices, I was expecting something really tasty and hoped that they would pour as much care into the few vegetarian dishes on the menu as they do for the meat ones, but apparently not. At least, the service was attentive and fast - but I mainly go to the restaurant for great food so probably won't come back.

The veal schnitzel was delicious and crispy. I loved the Basil Smash that was recommended to me as a drink! For dessert, we tried creme brule and apfelsturdel. Both were very good, especially apfelsturdel, which is a classic and should definitely be eaten in a place like this.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and a smile. They were very attentive to my need and patient with my questions. The beef stew course with potatoes was delicious and filling especially because I was flying all day and hadn't eaten much.

I was really looking forward to the restaurant, but the food was more than disappointing. I really wanted to try the Vegan Schnitzel, it had nothing in common with a schnitzel. In addition, it was too salty, so it wasn't eaten. We left a fortune in this store and the conditions were totally stressed and annoying.

Beautiful setting in Kreuzberg but the price is too high for a goulash with spätzle..In Alsace I have the equivalent for 20euros here you have to count 28th..

Food and service at the highest level. We had the zion roast and the cheese spaetzle for dessert and then there was a Kaiserschmarrn to share. Everything was excellent.

One of the best Wiener Schnitzel in Berlin! And there are also plenty of delicious options for vegetarians - the Portobello Schnitzel is particularly recommended. The Kaiserschmarrn with almonds is a real highlight and a must-try. The service was friendly and there were no long waiting times despite the restaurant being full. The only point of criticism: the volume inside was extremely high so you had to speak very loudly - and of course it's not exactly cheap. But otherwise really great!

Leider eine große Enttäuschung, für ein absolut unterdurchschnittliches Essen haben wir viel zu viel Geld bezahlt. Das Schnitzel war trocken und schmeckte nach altem Fett (wie aufgewärmt) kaum bestellt war es schon da (34,00 Euro zzgl. 2,00 Euro für Preiselbeeren), die Schlutzkrapfen hatten mit dem Gericht so wie ich es aus Südtirol/Tirol kenne nichts zu tun es war eher ein italienisches Nudelgericht mit Tortellini und getr.Tomaten, von Butter und Salbei ganz klassisch war nichts zu sehen und dafür habe ich 29,00 Euro bezahlt, frech. Insgesamt waren wir von einem gemütlichen Abend weit weg, Zeitdruck und eine unglaubliche Lautstärke im Lokal. Leider konnte mich nicht direkt vor Ort dazu äußern da mein Mann und ich eingeladen waren.

The venue is amazing. Food of course good quality but nothing crazy. Service was good, kind but not pending.

The head waiter and the second waiter are nice. Not the waitress. The atmosphere is very nice and very close to the Art Deco style. However, there are 2 really serious foaupax in the taproom: a picture of a pig and an animal head. Both take the ambience down! We had a bright, ugly LED light on our table even though there were also tables with real candles. The curtain is full of wax stains and needs to be cleaned. The rest is beautiful!!! The meal had its ups and downs. My wife had a very tasty vegetarian meal. My Wiener Schnitzel was a disgrace!!!! Only a tiny lemon, no cranberries even though advertised. The open wine had been open for too long, which was a shame. Otherwise everything was very good. I recommend letting a restaurateur come through here, then the shop would be great! By the way, the gin selection was terrible! Someone with a gin understanding should take a look at it and replace half of the GINs and introduce real tonnic. listen to the gintalk podcast. So actually top class but still a waste!

Excellent Austrian food, especially the schnitzel is my favourite. It's cooked to perfection and I'm trying to go for it every time I'm in Berlin. The restaurant is one nice old room with a big chandelier which creates it a nice, familiar atmosphere.

I booked this place a bit in a hurry despite the fear that it was going to be one of these overpriced overrated German restaurants. Okay its certainly not cheap and it was quite loud inside, but I have to say this turned out to be one of the best schnitzels I ever had. Absolute world class quality. We both loved it and we will be back without a shadow of a doubt. Wish there were more Pislners than just Carlsberg though

Just perfect! Not only is the great, cool interior, the food, wine and top service are really wonderful. And that certain “Kreuzberg feeling”…. We will definitely be back very soon, also because of the great, stylish dessert “Espresso Martini”, in very pretty glasses, tone on tone… pure enjoyment!

Good Food and Service, but way too pricey

Wir waren mit den Eltern und Familie im Jolesch. Man hat sich sofort herzlich um meine Mutter, die im Rollstuhl sitzt bemüht. Auch die anderen älteren Herrschaften wurden sehr freundlich behandelt. Auch deren umständliche Bestellung wurden mit aller Hingabe entgegen genommen. Nun zum Essen: Schnitzel, Zwiebelrostbraten, Rote-Bete-Knödel - alles in bester österreichischer Tradition und schmackhafter Zubereitung. Der Kartoffel-Vogerl-Salat als Beilage gefiel mir außerordentlich gut. Als Dessert hatten wir Kaiserschmarrn und Creme Brulee sowie Marillenknödel. Der Schmsrrn wurde in die Tischmitte gestellt und jeder bekam Besteck und Teller. Auch das hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Alles in allem waren wir selten mit der Familie so gut und entspannt Essen.

Austria at its best. The Wiener Schnitzel exactly as it should be. The beetroot dumplings are a vegetarian highlight. The celery cream is incredibly good. Really. Yes, celery, I know. Despite it. Less good: cranberries and side dishes for the Wiener Schnitzel are extra. Aperol was very very thin.

Very pleasant place to meet up with friends or have a delicious meal alone or with family. We didn't make a reservation but still got a table for two easily. Really very attentive staff. The food was delicious and extremely generous in portions. We really enjoyed both the Viennese-style schnitzel and the onion roast. Unfortunately, due to the size of the portions, dessert was no longer possible for us. But maybe next time.

Leider habe ich hier kostenfrei ohne Anmeldung etc. Probe gearbeitet. Der Chef hat sich leider nicht mal vorgestellt, es gab kein Vorgespräch oder Nachgespräch, es hieß nur man würde sich bei mir am nächsten Tag telefonisch melden. Leider wurde nicht mal aus Wertschätzung gegenüber erfahrenem Personal abgesagt. Ich kann diesen Laden absolut nicht empfehlen. Macht nach außen einen guten Eindruck. An dem Abend waren wir übrigens zu zweit „Probe arbeiten“ ein anderer sehr erfahrener Kellner war auch kostenfrei am arbeiten. Die Anzeige ist auch schon seit längerem online, ich gehe davon aus, dass der Laden täglich kostenfrei Menschen zum angeblichen Probe arbeiten einlädt.

For me personally, 50% of a restaurant in this price range is the service. Anyone who doesn't value it, even with a reserved table on Friday 8:45 p.m. (certainly prime time) - has no problem waiting 35 minutes at the entrance and is only there for the food - will find a solid schnitzel restaurant. At least there was a champagne as compensation - which I really appreciate. In principle, such situations are not bad - but in my opinion, friendly and professional communication is simply required. Unfortunately, I had the feeling from the entire staff that it was an emotionless mass process. It's a shame, unfortunately the food in the price category isn't good enough for me to visit the restaurant again.

Essen sehr lecker, aber sehr hochpreisig. Service schnell und freundlich. Ambiente … Tische sehr eng gestellt und im hinteren Bereich sehr laut.

Wir waren das erste mal bei euch und sind schwer begeistert. Ich hatte den Zwiebelrostbraten und ich muss sagen, es war der beste den ich je gegessen habe. Meine Freundin hatte die Rotebeeteknödel, die auch exzellent waren. Zum Nachtisch gab es noch euren fantastischen Kaiserschmarrn. Klare Empfehlung geht raus was.

Netter Empfang….mehr aber auch nicht. Hatten anfangs einen Platz am Fenster. Auf keinen fall empfehlenswert, da es zieht wie Espenlaub. Haben uns dann doch lieber in die Mitte des Saales gesetzt. Saal trifft es ganz gut…mittelgroßer Raum der viel zu voll bestuhlt ist und durch die Geräuschkulisse wie eine Bahnhofshalle wirkt. Das Essen ist für den Preis leider lediglich OK! Das Cordon Bleu ist komplett käselastig und das Schnitzel so dünn, dass man eigentlich für die Panade zahlt. Wie gesagt geschmacklich OK aber viel Luft nach oben! Nachtrag: Nach Reklamation ist man uns bei der Rechnung entgegen gekommen.

Es war leider sehr kalt neben den Fenstern was schade ist, weil man sonst gerne länger verweilen würde.

Pricing - Schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries 36 Euro … The same classic dish goes for 32 Euro at the “famous” Borchardt (with a completely different celebrity-seeking attitude). 3. Service is medium - don’t get me wrong, no big flaws - but given the pricing I expected more attention to detail and customers. 4. Spacing and Loudness: A very packed room…

Wir waren nur einen Abend in Berlin und wollten gut essen gehen, und was soll ich sagen, wir waren begeistert. Die guten Rezensionen lügen nicht, das Team hat sich diese vollauf verdient, sehr kompetents Personal bei dem man sich gleich wohlfühlt und sehr sehr gutes Essen. Ein Muss ist einfach der Kaiserschmarn, der beste den wir je gegessen haben (ja wir waren auch schon in Österreich). Der ist zum niederknien. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Berlin kommen wir gerne wieder.

Weihnachtsfeier im Jolesch - kann ich nur sagen "Erstklassig und schwelge noch immer gern in Erinnerungen". Das Restaurant ist so gemütlich und harmonisch, hab mich gleich so wohl gefühlt. Da wo wir untergebracht waren, waren wir etwas getrennt von den Anderen, das war großartig, weil es doch etwas lauter wurde bei uns. Der Service war genial. Die Getränke kamen super schnell zu Tisch und es wurde regelmäßig für Nachschub gesorgt. Das Essen war super für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Und die Dessert Vielfalt OMG - So lecker. TOP!!! Ich komme gern dieses Jahr wieder zu euch, lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Großes Dankeschön ans Team für diesen gelungenen Abend.

Freundlich, neutraler Empfang. Tisch Zuweisung des Tisches, war wohl eher, eine Verlegenheit, im Empfangsbereich dann ein bisschen wie in einer Bahnhofsvorhalle. Das Wienerschnitzel, mit einer zu erwartenden Panierung, aber das Kalbsfleisch war sehr sehr trocken. Die bestellten Klöße hatten keinen Geschmack und auch dafür kein ordentliches Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der Kaiserschmarn war dafür sehr lecker. Bei der Verabschiedung war niemand mehr vom Personal zu sehen. Muss man nicht nochmal besuchen.

A truly amazing cousy Austrian restaurant that is not a tourist trap. The food is perfect, the service is very helpful and kind. This is not the cheapest place you will find, but it is worth every euro. Only downside of the restaurant is the fact that the tables are small and there is not enough place. Overall one of the best places to eat in Berlin. Five stars.

Wir hatten bereits zum dritten Mal fertig gebratene Gänse samt Sauce, Grünkohl, Rotkohl und Klößen liefern lassen.. und wir sind wie immer äußerst zufrieden gewesen mit der Qualität. Ja, billig ist es nicht, aber der Preis relativiert sich, wenn man bedenkt, dass alles innerhalb einer Stunde dampfend und knusprig und lecker für 9 Personen auf dem Tisch stand. Jeder ist entspannt und kann das Weihnachtsessen mit allen Gästen gemeinsam geniessen. Wir bestellen im nächsten Jahr bestimmt wieder.

Wer die Wiener Küche liebt,ist hier gut aufgehoben. Kleine,aber feine Speisekarte. Qualität ist ausgezeichnet. Personal freundlich und unaufdringlich. Wir essen dort seit Jahren mit unseren Kindern und Enkelkindern in stilvollen Ambiente zu Weihnachten. Danke für immer angenehme Stunden.

Había una celebración de 30 personas al lado de nuestra mesa y el hambiente ni la atención de los camareros fue la adecuada. No deberían mezclar comensales de una celebración tan grande con una de comensales que quieren disfrutar de una cena agradable e inolvidable. Una pena.....

Service takes forever. After giving them a review they reply that the cause is a "lack of knowledge" on my side. However we were waiting at the table for a wine for more than 30 minutes while others were served. Not only didn't they apologize for this, they also don't have the maturity to not blame the guests...

Waren mit der Firma dort zur Firmenfeier, Essen war Top, leider wurden wir dann recht unfreundlich gebeten jetzt dann auch mal zu gehen und auf mails wurde auch nicht reagiert, also eher nicht geeignet für Gruppen.

Ich war mit meinen Kollegen zur Firmenfeier dort eingeladen. Essen war lecker, Ambiente war gut, aber wir wurden am Ende früher rausgebeten als besprochen und mehrmals dazu gedrängt schnell zu gehen, weil wohl noch andere Kunden nun bedient werden sollen. Schlichtweg mussten wir wegen schlechter Planung durch das Lokal Jolesch den bis dahin schönen und leckeren Abend mit einem faden Beigeschmack verlassen.

Sehr leckere deutsch/österreichische Küche mit sehr zuvorkommenden Service. Für Kinder gibt es eine eigens dazu bestimmte Malunterlage und die Stifte gleich mit dazu, so kann der Abend entspannt anfangen. Ein Kindermenü gibt es auch. Individuelle Wünsche, die nicht unbedingt auf der Karte stehen, werden auch beachtet. Wirklich gelungenes Konzept und wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne.

Alles top! Sehr gutes Restaurant und zur Weihnachtszeit kann ich die Ente sehr empfehlen 😍

Ich würde gerne mehr wie fünf Sterne geben wegen dem sehr, sehr leckeren Essen. Aber auch die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Kaiserschmarn besonders ist zum reinlegen. Tisch reservieren ist pflicht. Mann hat den Tisch für ca 2, Std. Meine Empfehlung.. Es lohnt sich auf alle fälle. Preise sind für die sehr gute Küche moderat.

Das Essen war wirklich der Hammer,der Service war präsent aber es war völlig überfüllt,viel zu laut,keine Parkplätze in der Umgebung, Lidl Parkplatz ist begrenzt nutzbar. Das Wein Angebot riesig,wir saßen an der Tür dementsprechend war es kühl und viel Verkehr an Menschen.

Ambiete und Essen waren gut. Der Preis von 17.- für ein Glas Wein war komplett überzogen!!!

Das "Veganer Schnitzel" war fantastisch! Für sensible Gäste - es kann dort ziemlich laut werden, wenn es voll ist. Wir kommen gern wieder!

This place was absolutely humming when we arrived, and was another recommendation from our local friends. It is obviously a very popular place for Berliners and seemed to be full of people from the local neighbourhood. We were shown to a very nice corner table in the main restaurant. At the entrance to the restaurant there is a huge log burner stove that was going full tilt and with a full restaurant the place was way too hot for all of us; that's my only gripe. Two of us had tafelspitz which comes with the beef consomme as a starter before the boiled beef main, accompanied with the traditional creamed spinach, fried potatoes and horseradish; it was exactly as it should be and delicious. One of us had the goulash which was considered somewhat under seasoned, and one of us had a top drawer schnitzel. The wine list is expansive and very good and we chose what turned out to be a memorable pinot noir. The table service was good throughout if a little perfunctory, but that's a quibble and not a major issue. We would definitely return, but maybe in the summer when the wood burner is not in use;)

Sehr gutes traditionelles österreichisches Essen und Weine.

Hatte bei der Buchung erwähnt, dass ich da meine. Geburtstag feiern wollte und war etwas neugierig, ob da irgendeine Reaktion kommen würde. In der Tat, eine Geburtstagskerze von Jolesch und zwei freundliche Glückwünsche mit Händedruck. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und qualitativ hochwertig. Einen Stern Abzug dennoch für die wohl "eingedeutschten" Varianten von Zwiebelrostbraten und Marillen knödel, bei denen ich ein saftiges und dickes rosa gebratenes Rumpsteak bzw. eine Marillenfüllung in Form von echten Früchten erwartet hätte. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und sympathisch, das Lokal für meinen Geschmack sehr ansprechend. Und wie es scheint ist das Lokal nicht wirklich auf Werbung auf diesen oder ähnlichen Plattformen angewiesen. Es war sehr gut besucht und spricht mit seinem Angebot wohl erfolgreich für sich selbst....komme bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder und hoffe, mir wird der Sterneabzug nicht nachgetragen.

Sehr hochwertiges Essen und toller Service in urigem Ambiente. Nichts für den kleinen Geldbeutel aber preis/Leistung ist super. Das Wiener Schnitzel ist grandios, die Nachtischr auch alle zu empfehlen. Das gezapfte Helle ist ebenfalls sehr lecker.

Danke für Eure Mühe! Man spürt die Liebe zur Gastronomie und das seit Jahren. Tag ein, Tag aus seid Ihr da und vor allem immer dann, wenn man mal wieder einen Schub braucht. Eine Oase für die Seele, ein wunderbarer Ort für Österreichische Küche, mit zudem phantastischen Weinen, in gewohnt schönem Gewand. Wir lieben den persönlichen "Touch". Service ist exzellent! Essen nur durchschnittlich und dafür sehr saftige Preise. Im Gegensatz zum Goulasch. Das war trocken. Service spröde und nicht besonders herzlich. Und warum es zum Goulasch auf Wunsch statt Spätzle keine Salzkartoffeln, wohl aber Bratkartoffeln gibt, spricht wohl für sich. Wer isst bitte Bratkartoffeln zu Goulasch?

Solider Österreicher, hier und da fehlte etwas der Pfiff zB die Suppeneinlage der Boullion, die Panade des Cordon Bleu und das Innenleben des Marillenknödels. Netter Service, aber man merkte die hohe Auslastung Freitag abends. Toiletten der Weinstube, wo ich untergebracht wurde schon ganz schön "ab".

Preis - Leistung ist leider nicht gerechtfertigt. Knapp 100€ für 2x Schnitzel mit 1x Nachspeise und 0,5 L Wein Karaffe ist leider zu viel. Die Beilagen mussten extra bestellt und natürlich bezahlt werden und die Panade vom Schnitzel war leider viel zu weich. Es wurden keine gesonderten Bedingungen zum Fleisch erwähnt, die die 25€ ohne Beilage rechtfertigen könnten. Der Service war toll und das Ambiente ist ist sehr schön. Aber zusammengefasst entsprechen die Standards entsprechen leider nicht den Preisen.

Der Service hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten Schweineschnitzel Wiener Art mit Bratkartoffeln und Preiselbeeren (31€) sowie das vegane Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat (24,50€). Beides war wirklich sehr lecker, allerdings ist das vegane Schnitzel im Vergleich zum Schweineschnitzel recht klein und die Preise grundsätzlich nicht sehr günstig.

Sehr leckeres Wiener Schnitzel in tollem Ambiente.

Ich mache gerne den Schnitzel Test und man ist erstaunt, wie viele Restaurants in Berlin den Klassiker auf hohem Niveau anbieten. Jolesch liegt da im Mittelfeld, preislich allerdings eher an der Spitze. Das Schnitzel ist schon prima. Den sehr wichtigen Kartoffelsalat habe ich woanders schon besser bekommen. Ein Wermutstropfen ist, dass Beilage UND die Preiselbeeren gesondert bestellt und bezahlt werden müssen. Erwähnenswert ist der Kaiserschmarrn, den sie hier ganz eigen interpretieren, aber wirklich großartig. Die Bedienung ist nett und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist aufgrund des hohen, in dunklen Farben gehaltenen Raums mit einem beeindruckend riesigen Gemälde an der Kopfwand irgendwie mondän. Man muss aber ein Freund der sehr lauten, halligen Atmosphäre sein. Akustisch hätte man sich bei der Einrichtung ein paar mehr Gedanken machen können.
