Great breakfast, superb location, friendly waiter. However, the drivers were constantly irritated and honking. But that's not the restaurant's fault.

Austrian food, schnitzel, is the best when eaten at an Austrian specialty restaurant! Schnitzel, draft beer, and even apple strudel, everything was perfect🤤❤️‍🔥 Plus, the server was so kind that it made my day so enjoyable! Highly recommended!!

Went here for coffee today, and the staff were inattentive! The dishes were barely finished before they were cleared away. The price/performance ratio here is absolutely terrible. I find the almost €27.00 for two coffees and two slices of cake to be overpriced.

The staff were extremely rude to us. We asked for an iced coffee and got laughed at by 3 staff members. To the bald man and the silly woman behind the bar, we know you're not Starbucks.

WOW! you need to try thr scones, the Kaizershmaren (like a bread pudding. Realy tasty) and of course, the top notch shtrudel. With a great ginger tea it sure was one of the best time we had in berlin!

Two times in different seasons been in there. Serving is too slow and weak. At the end waiters telling that serving fee is not included and when you want to pay they click tip percentage themself they don’t ask you as i know its not a rule to give tip. If you have good experience with service then you can give tip but somewhow they did its rude

I had the pleasure of trying a Chicken Avocado Club Sandwich and I can safely say that it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted.

Atmospheric, friendly and expedient service and very tasty coffee and great variety of dishes. Probably the best hot chocolate I have ever had - if you like it thick and not too sweet!

I went with my clients, mainly so that the ten year old girl could have breakfast and maybe we could. We asked if they had something like a ham and cheese croissant. The waiter said curtly that no and that for something like this we should go to a bakery. Seeing the huge interest in us staying we left, and believe me I will never go back and will never recommend it.

The cafe is located along Unter den Linden. The environment is pleasant and classy. Service good but the person somewhat measured. Table service and payment at the table. Elegant serving. The apple strudel was ok but not a sensation, maybe on the sweetest side. Expensive.

Nice place, but in my opinion quite expensive. There isn't even WiFi in the restaurant. It doesn't have to happen again...

After I was seated, the waiters passed by several times but didn’t think of giving me the menu. After 20 minutes of wait, they gave it to me. I ordered the New York Bagel and unfortunately it did not taste good. When I asked for the bill, the waitress came with it and highlighted to me that the tip was not included and wanted me to tip here. This is utterly unprofessional, I would have tipped if you wouldn’t have tried to insuate it to me. When I got up to leave, she seemed disappointed and mad and didn’t even bother to say goodbye.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, you can experience the Viennese café house ambience here. Not self-service, but a place where they are happy to take care of you. Read a newspaper with a hot drink or meet up with friends/colleagues to chat. Even the lady at the toilets will greet you warmly and give you a compliment. A feel-good place.

I had a really good double espresso and some sparkling water. The place was nice and fairly quiet inside during lunchtime, although the outdoor seating was completely full. However, I have to say—I spent about two hours there because I arrived early hoping to get some work done, but I found out there’s no Wi-Fi connection. So, it’s not a great spot for working, but it’s definitely a good place for a short meeting or quick coffee.

Very friendly and accommodating toward Americans! The vibe and atmosphere was similar to a diner, however, the food was of the highest quality and delicious. The Schnitzel was massive and tasty. The Goulash was surprisingly good, tender, and hearty. The bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent and very friendly. Never rushed or ignored. It’s walking distance from the gates, a very safe and authentic place for a meal in Berlin. Not very crowded and no reservations required.

I was very surprised by this place! I thought the quality would be alright, but it’s honestly outstanding. We had a classic afternoon tea and it was superb!

Cappuccino with a glass of water but without cinnamon and cocoa. Oh well. The taste is not particularly better than a cappuccino from a fully automatic machine.

Was there for breakfast at the weekend. You were greeted and served very friendly. The breakfast selection is very large. The breakfast on the cake stand was more than enough for one person and the quality was very good. Very fresh rolls and bread and a croissant. If you come later, you should book a table in advance as it is very popular. Even though the price is a bit higher, in my opinion everything went together very well. I'd love to come again.

We were absolutely thrilled. The staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating. You just feel at home and welcome. We read through the history of the café and were immediately in a positive mood. No wonder this restaurant has been around for so long. Any time again when we come to Berlin.

Lives from the hyped reputation as a celebrity bar. Coffee and food are good but too expensive. Staff sometimes arrogant if you are not a celebrity. Luckily there are many places in Berlin where it's nicer.

Viennese coffee house in the middle of Berlin. Great breakfast. Brilliant Wiener Schnitzel. Perfect service. During session weeks, you can meet the entire Bundestag here for breakfast before 9:00 a.m.

Kaiserschmarren is really good, tcha tea too. But this insistence on the required tip, even though the service is included. it's just scandalous. we won't go anymore.

Today there was only one coffee but it was really very good. Since it is a coffee house, it lives up to its name. However, it is relatively expensive. The ambience is quite classy but a bit older. The service is quick and courteous. In my opinion, it was a bit too fast that the waiter did many things at the same time, including serving the guests.

I can definitely say that it is one of my favorite places. It is a place frequently visited by both local people and foreign tourists. We ate Apple Schtrudel, they served it with vanilla sauce and cream. For those who don't like too sweet, I recommend eating it with cream. In addition, all employees speak English, so I do not think you will have any problems with communication.

The coffee is very bad, it is roasted. The eggs and bacon are not bad at all, but they are still expensive. It is a good place, but not to enjoy a coffee.

Einstein unter den Linden is an absolute must for me every time I am in Berlin. This café is simply sensational – the atmosphere is pleasant and the guests are always in a good mood. The staff is very friendly, even if it takes a little longer, which is understandable given the popularity of the café. The quality of the food and drinks is excellent and you just feel completely at home there. A clear recommendation for every visitor to Berlin!

Breakfast was good, but also quite expensive. A coffee alone cost €6.

Real old Austrian restaurant. We had lunch here. It wasn't quite what we were expecting but tasty nonetheless. Would visit again for dinner. Waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable.

One of the best strudels I have ever had, but I also have never been to Austria.

The smaller Einstein Cafés, of course with a reduced menu, are more recommended and more rustic!

It's actually a shame, very friendly service but the food is just nothing. I've been living in Berlin for several years and actually avoid Unter den Linden because most of it is overcrowded with tourists. Today we were nearby and thought we would test it out. The prices are extremely exorbitant, if you are asking such high prices then the quality should also be consistent. I had the cheese spaetzle for €28 and they were completely tasteless. Even salt and pepper couldn't save much. In every Bavarian restaurant in Berlin you can get better ones for less than half the price. Unfortunately not recommended for a full meal, you can make coffee and cake.

We wanted to stop at Einstein for coffee and cake... Unfortunately we didn't like the uncomfortable atmosphere at all... not the least bit inviting... when we got the menu and saw the prices we lost our desire for coffee and cake... €15 for apple strudel, €8 for a tea... Guys...where else is this going??? The waiter was very nice, but it wasn't worth it at all for us!!!

Das Café Einstein hat ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Ein echtes Kaffeehaus in Berlin. Der Service ist aufmerksam und vollendet. Unser Rührei mit Lachs war auf den Punkt. Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt. (Ohne Kräuter) Der Sekt ist großartig.

The cake certainly has its price, but I can never pass up something that is so good and tasty. Then add a “brown” and the evening can begin.

Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Einstein unter den Linden offers a delightful dining experience steeped in tradition and elegance. My visit for breakfast was a treat for the senses, as I indulged in the Sylter Frühstück, a delectable assortment of shrimps, gravlax with horseradish, smoked halibut, radish, lemon, and a basket of freshly baked bread accompanied by creamy butter. The quality and generous portion left me impressed and eager to return for more. The in-house baked bread was a standout, and the coffee proved to be a satisfying complement to the meal. Despite the overall positive experience, the service left something to be desired, as our waitress came across as pushy, particularly when it came to tipping. Despite this minor setback, Einstein unter den Linden remains a must-visit establishment for those seeking a taste of traditional cuisine in an unforgettable setting. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu offerings.

The Viennese schnitzel is excellent and highly recommended.

The service was very nice and attentive. We had cheesecake and apple strudel. Both very tasty. The coffee was good too. Of course, the prices speak the language of the situation. You should take this into account when visiting.

The reception was good and the placement also worked. It was very busy and it took some time to place our order. We chose the Cesars Salad and the Wiener Schnitzel and had 2 drinks. The salad was a bitter disappointment in terms of presentation, taste and careless preparation. I'm sorry, but at 25.00 euros for a Cesars salad, I expect that the croutons don't just end up on the edge and that the fried chicken strips are just thrown on top. The dressing was bland and I doubt it was handmade. There was also no shaved parmesan on top. The Wiener Schnitzel was not crisp but lukewarm and wobbly. Just carelessly boiled potatoes on the plate, done. OK. The lemon was tied in a gauze that kept the seeds back, the cranberries were in a small jar. I wouldn't have written a comment if we hadn't had to pay €141.00 for takeaway level. Our demands were at least at the “Figlmüller” level in Vienna, especially since it was cheaper and really quick there. The service was OK, not outstanding. At my Italian restaurant around the corner I feel more valued and not robbed for good food. I'm happy to pay more, then the performance has to be good.

It is a very nice place on a pleasant and beautiful street like Unter den Linden. (I read a book set in Berlin, it was a cafe that the woman living there went to very often, so I was curious about the atmosphere and went there) It has the atmosphere of an old, classic style patisserie. It's quite busy, it's obvious that there are people who love it :) We ate Apple Schtrudel, they served it with vanilla ice cream - the ice cream was also good - it was very nice, Americano was also good.

Expensive and the service takes a lot of getting used to

Wir waren nach dem ZDF Morgenmagazin hier zum Frühstück. Das Einstein ist ein grosses Cafe mit Recht vielen Kellern, wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient. Das Bircher Müsli war gut und das Egg Benedict auch! Gerne wieder!

The thing called Kaiserschmarrn is original. This is the only place in Berlin where I found it in 13 years. Wonderful. €18 though.

Wonderful place to celebrate Christmas. Food & wine was excellent and service was fantastic.

Klasse Lage. Sehr gutes Essen, besonders natürlich Wiener Schnitzel und ganz besonders Kaiserschmarren, für welchen man 20 Minuten Extrazeit einplanen muss, weil er völlig frisch zubereitet wird (was eine Seltenheit in Restaurants geworden ist, was sich aber in jedem Fall lohnt!). Super-freundlicher Service, der uns beide noch einen Tisch organisierte, obwohl das Lokal schon völlig ausgebucht war. Wir haben dort zwei Mal hintereinander gegessen und waren wie schon bei mehreren früheren Besuchen vor Jahren erneut rundum zufrieden. Super Restaurant!
