I went to the Kiosk, outside of the main salon of the Restaurant. The kiosk is perfect to take that cup of coffee with a Pretzel or a "Wurst mit Brot". Or, if you prefer, you can take an ice-cream. Both ways, you can take away or sit and enjoy it under one of the charming umbrellas.

DANGER! Don't go to the beer garden!!!! Closes uncontrollably early. Friday evening in midsummer, 8:20 p.m. A pizza please. Kitchen already closed! Why? I couldn't see if the beer garden was only half full. Not worth it. It wasn't my first attempt to eat a pizza in the beer garden there in the evening. Always failed. Again today at 8:50 p.m. Of course the kitchen has been closed for a long time. You can't go too early either, there's nothing there yet. If you happen to pass by, you can try to get a pizza, but drive there specifically for that? That makes you angry. But I don't want to be unaccounted for. There is certainly a time window of 30-45, maybe even 60 minutes when the kitchen is open. However, I never caught the time slot and won't try to catch it again.

Was in the kiosk/beer garden. Busy on weekends but you can find your spot. Good place for a break in between.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding here in May. As a bride and groom, you are already super happy on this day, but the restaurant, especially with its incredibly attentive and friendly staff, ensured even more happiness and satisfaction on this day/evening/night! The quality of the food is unique and remains in the memory of every guest. The large terrace is ideal for a wedding reception. I think every restaurant has been struggling to find employees for several years. The staff at Schoenbrunn seem to love their job, as they fulfilled our and our guests' every wish and were committed and friendly until late into the night. If you are looking for a location in Berlin that leaves an impression not only visually but also culinary wise, I heartily recommend the Schoenbrunn! For all people without a big celebration: treat yourself to the fantastic food! dearest greetings

Service rather below standard in terms of friendliness, sausages were great though and drinks ok as well, nicely positioned place for leisure time.

Schönbrunn is a good restaurant, the food is delicious, lovingly prepared and served in a friendly manner by the quick staff. The surroundings of the park and the lake make a visit to Schönbrunn perfect.

So gorgeous, middle of East Berlin's largest, most sumptuous park - a fountain midst of a lake facing the restaurant terrace and a circular shower for the kiddies off to the left - food was top notch, and served by pretty, friendly staff - thank you!

Was sceptical at first, due to small menu and higher prices, but both quality and service were amazing! Location is good as well, can recommend!

Ate outside on the terrace at Schönbrunn in the evening during the week. Very nice and attentive service. Map very / almost too clear…. Aperol Spritz was great, starter tomato burrata salad was also very good, but at 15.50 EUR it was very high priced... Main courses: Wiener Schnitzel was only OK for 30 EUR, chicken supreme with risotto was very good, whole sea bass couldn't be enjoyed by anyone ( !) had to be filleted...which would have made the eating experience much more pleasant, fish was rather carelessly prepared. Overall, given the price structure, it's pretty average! Location and staff very good, but overall a pleasant evening with room for improvement in the kitchen!

Waited more than 20 minutes only to be told that no hot drinks were served. Nothing is labeled anywhere and the staff didn't even say yes, sorry. But just sent me away!

On Wednesday evening, after jogging through the park, we just wanted to have a beer. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, we didn't move forward 1 meter, so we went to the next Späti. If you read the other reviews, there is probably a huge lack of organization, the concept should fit the number of seats 🤷‍♂️

Underground, at 22 degrees outside temperature, we waited 50 minutes for drinks, service was terrible.

Nice atmosphere, but that's about it

We recently stopped by the Schoenbrunn restaurant on a beautiful summer day with an acute thirst for Aperol. You are served at the tables with tablecloths, and the beer sets are self-service - but both from the same bar, where, when the weather is nice, there can be endless queues. In the end, the guests with table service also suffer because the employees cannot keep up with the orders. We waited 30 minutes for the drink itself and another 20 minutes for the bill. You have to have a lot of patience... and then of course it's not exactly cheap. But that's okay, the location and the view of the park and the lake are really nice. We didn't eat anything, so I can't comment on that.

Food was bad,, 29 euros for a badly fried snitzel, Dumpling spinach was 3 balls of stew. For 19. Euro. It is located in a nice park. Go there for a drink, but DO NOT eat there

There is also the option to eat together indoors with large groups. We were greeted with an exceptionally good white wine and treated to asparagus, schnitzel and salad. The schnitzel was freshly breaded and the asparagus was crunchy. Add the good wine and everything was good. Due to peak times there is a bit of a wait, but the staff was welcoming. You can park outside the park for free.

If you want to eat outside the street, you can do so here. This good home-style restaurant is in the middle of the park. There are some vegetarian options, but they are expensive too! The portions are rather small and I didn't really feel full.

It's going ok. The latte macchiato seems to be a vending machine coffee, the rest is simple standard at top prices.

Lunch on the terrace in this restaurant located in the heart of the park. Ideal conditions with a large shaded terrace and perfect weather. On the menu, German specialties. The quantities are generous. The dishes are good, made with fresh produce. Special mention for the apfelstrudel which was famous.

On Friday the grill closed at 7 p.m. and all the other dishes were out. All that was left was salad and it was very expensive and ok. The location is great. There's also beer... there's definitely still some catching up to do with the kitchen...

Good, value for money Italian restaurant located in the middle of the Volkspark near Alexanderplatz.

Solid breakfast with nice service staff. From standard croissants to British breakfast with beans, bacon and eggs and Nürnberger sausages…

Super tasty Wienerschnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn

Schön gelegen im Park, aber total überlaufen. Zuwenig Personal, daher war das anwesende Personal total überfordert. Für einen gewöhnlichen Salat haben wir 1 Stunde gewartet. Zum bezahlen sicher 5x gerufen innert 30 Minuten. Qualität nichts besonderes. Auch zu teuer.

The worst organized beer garden ever. We waited in line for our beer for 45 minutes. Pizza looks really bad.

Nice beer garden, but the “pizza” for 14 EUR doesn't deserve its name. Underground. Every frozen pizza has more taste. Beer is welcome here, but you should eat somewhere else.

A bit higher price category, but the food is really good and the staff is really friendly. It's better to make a reservation on the weekend, as it could get full. Then you have to take a lot of time until the overwhelmed staff notices you and you get the menu, even if you have reserved beforehand.

They have forced us to pay a tip when paying by card even though it is a self-service biergarten. The food has been served cold. The table was dirty full of crumbs from previous diners. They haven't given us knives but they have given us a spoon to eat cold lasagna. They didn't give my son a napkin for ordering pizza. I don't recommend it, it's also quite expensive.

Nice coffee atmosphere with Austrian food and cakes. However, the spinach dumplings were too heavy for me, floating in a large "lake of butter" and were greasy afterward, but they were still delicious.

The food was a real disaster! Very thin, tasteless veal schnitzel with potato and radish salad??? When you looked at it, the industrial breading fell off completely, leaving only a hint of meat. Never again at this high price! My wife's fish fillet wasn't worth the money either! Actually 0 stars!!!

Very relaxed on the terrace in summer. Inside is often hectic and restless. Service staff always courteous and super friendly but somehow charming. There are good and bad days there and overall still within the range of recommendations!

A beautifully located beer garden. Unfortunately, it's completely overcrowded on weekends and public holidays. I like to meet up for a coffee at the location during the week when the weather is nice.

We ate here many times, they serve amazing breakfast and very good coffee. The service there is rather average except one guy, who is just extremely rude. One time he started to shout "don't you see there is no place" when I tried to join the table I was sat with my friends, I guess my baby's prom grew magically when I took it out for 10 mins.The other time he responded disrespectfully when I tried to order coffee to go, he claimed they don't serve it, why do I get every weekend then? I understand they were busy that day, I would not be bothered if he'd explained it in a kind way... one does not treat customers this way, simply unacceptable

The restaurant is located in the Volkspark Friedrichshain. A popular excursion destination in the middle of the city. Right next to a duck pond, you can get grilled specialties and ice cream in the outdoor area. Inside the gastronomy you will find seasonal culinary delights with traditional dishes for everyone. A good price-performance ratio.

UNDERGROUND! Don't do this to yourself. The staff was unfriendly, unsympathetic, arrogant and incompetent. The boss sat us at a table that was right next to the door and when we asked to sit at another table he just said: “It's just as bad.” I mean, that's an impertinence. I remembered the place to be better and more comfortable.

Such a shame! The food is delicious, the location is wonderfully located in the park. Unfortunately the service and friendliness leaves a lot to be desired! After sitting outside and waiting for over 30 minutes today (during which time we had picked up the tickets ourselves and politely asked once inside whether we could order), we were told very harshly when we went in again that we could only eat inside) and not served outside. You could have said that directly. There were more people sitting outside with drinks and food when we arrived - we were offended, irritated and left and probably won't be coming back any time soon. How can it be so difficult to be friendly and easy to communicate in Berlin?

Birthday breakfast for four people. Everything was tasty, sufficient and the service was also great. A really good price-performance ratio. We would be happy to come back.

Food is good, WE very crowded. Reservations!

We had a wonderful time here last Sunday. There was snow on the ground so the park looked really pretty. The staff are delightful they can't do enough for you. We had delicious pancakes with berries, maple syrup and crispy bacon, really delicious. I would love to return and try their dinner menu. 100% recommend.

Ein wunderbarer Ort - wir waren zu acht zum späten Mittagessen dort und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Netter Service, leckeres Essen, schöne Einrichtung, perfekte Lage im Park. Besonders hervorzuheben war das Wiener Schnitzel: resche Kruste, schön dünn und locker, das Kalbfleisch zart und nicht zu dick :-)

Sehr schön gelegen. Am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag hatten wir einen schönen Sitzplatz draußen - allerdings musste man reingehen zum Bestellen. Wir hatten drei Stück unterschiedliche Kuchen, von denen die Sachatorte die schlechteste Qualität hatte und dem Namen keineswegs auch nur ansatzweise gerecht wurde. Der Blaubeerkäsekuchen war gerade so akzeptabel und der amreikanische Käsekuchen durchaus genießbar. Wer schon mal in einem Schönbrunn Cafe in Östereich war, vermisst hier im Grunde alles. Die Krönung im negativem Sinne waren die Kakaogetränke mit und ohne Sahne: Nur Lauwarm und mit Wasser zubereitet, so dass man das Wasser schmecken konnte! Ich bin Urberlinerin und mein Lebensgefährte kommt aus Franken. Er schraubt ja schon vor dem Besuch eines Cafes in Berlin seine Ansprüche runter auf berliner Niveau - aber heute konnte ich die Tränen in seinen Augen, beim Verzehren der Sachatorte, sehen! Wer aus Süddeutschland kommt, sollte hier auf keinen Fall einkehren. Sonst denke ich ja immer, dass er überteibt, aber heute fand ich es sogar noch weitaus schrecklicher als er!

Seitdem ich herausgefunden habe, dass die Schnitzel auch als kleine Portion bestellbar sind, liebe ich’s noch mehr! Original österreichische Küche!

Ich war sehr oft dort und habe immer lecker gegessen der Service war immer super lieb und der Ausblick in den Park läd zum träumen ein.

Hatte nur Zeit für ein kleines Frühstück, Personal war sofort da obwohl erst kurz vorher geöffnet wurde. Nette Sonnenterrasse, sehr nettes Personal, gute Frühstücksauswahl.

Wirklich leckeres Essen, die Spinatknödel waren ein Gedicht. Das Schnitzel genau so, wie wir es erwartet hatten. Auch die Weine sehr sehr gut. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, alles in Allem eine runde Sache für eine Firmenweihnachtsfeier.

Mitten im Volkspark Friedrichshain, am großen Ententeich liegt dieses wunderbare Restaurant und Cafe. Oft geht auch unter der Woche nichts ohne Reservierung denn ob Außenterasse mit Seeblick oder Gastraum mit Panoramafenster, man sitzt in beiden Fällen gemütlich. Mein all-time-favorite ist der Kaiserschmarrn mit Vanilleeis auf den ich gern 30 Minuten warte denn er wird frisch zubereitet und braucht eben seine Zeit.

Schönes Ausflugsziel mit guter Küche

Schnitzel im Frühling, unsere absolute Empfehlung! Natürlich ist die Location mitten im Park ein Traum. Sobald die ersten Sonnenstrahlen erwachen, ist das unser erster Anlauf im neuen Jahr. Viele Grüße und bis bald.

Leider waren Servicemitarbeiter voll im Stress gewesen. Das merkte man deutlich an deren Verhalten.

Gutes Essen in traumhafter Umgebung im Park Friedrichshain. Hier sitzt man auf einer schönen, grossen Terrasse mit Grünblick. Das Essen ist etwas gehoben. Kalbsschnitzel und Kaiserschmarrn sind legendär. Nebenan ist der Biergarten, der auch sehr gut ist und leckere Pizza serviert.

30min um etwas zu bestellen, mehr als eine Stunde fürs Essen gewartet. Das Personal ist freundlich aber sehr schlecht vorbereitet. Ambiente ist schön und Preise in Ordnung Das Essen ist super.

Das Restaurant liegt inmitten des grossen Volkspark Friedrichshain. Wir waren zum Frühstück hier. Es gibt eine reichliche Auswahl, entweder herzhaft oder aber auch Konfitüre und Brötchen. Wir nahmen die Egg Benedict und Bohnen mit Speck und Spiegeleier. Beides schmeckte sehr gut. Unser Ober war sehr freundlich.

Das Essen war im grossen und ganzen wirklich gut, interessante Gerichte, schön angerichtet und lecker. Was leider überhaupt gar nicht geht: man bestellt sich ein Gericht und wird dann gefragt ob man eine "normale" oder kleine Portion will. Die normale Portion kostet dann extra, totale Sauerei. Es geht mir persönlich auch nicht ums Geld sondern die Art und Weise, das gehört sich nicht. Die Servicekräfte schienen etwas verwirrt oder überfordert aber sehr freundlich! Allerdings auch vom Service anscheinend nicht viel Ahnung, Teller wurden während andere am essen waren schon abgeräumt und nach Dessert gefragt, inner Kneipe egal aber wenn man 90€ für 3 Personen zahlt erwartet man eigentlich mehr. Also im grossen und ganzen okay, sein Geld aber nicht wert daher für mich wahrscheinlich kein weiterer Besuch wert.

Absolutely rude and disrespectfully arrogant staff

Great location and service. The mains were good, but the Kaiserschmarrn unfortunately were burned in the outside and quite raw on the inside.

An sich ein schöner Biergarten. Aber zu oft bin ich schon enttäuscht worden. Im Selbstbedienungsbereich steht man oft sehr lange an. Und der Bedienbereich ist leider eine Katastrophe. Postitiv ausgedrückt: Bemühtes Personal, aber leider heillos überfordert. Unsere 6 bestellten Essen kamen zu 4 unterschiedlichen Zeiten. Die beiden Pizzen für die Kinder kamen zum Schluß, nachdem wir Erwachsenen schon mit dem Essen fertig waren. Und das auch erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen. Und auch dann wurde noch eine der beiden Pizzen vergessen. Niemand vom Personal fühlt sich verantwortlich. Komplettes Chaos. Preis-Leistung stimmt für mich auch nicht: Das Essen finde ich ziemlich durchschnittlich. Dafür sind die Preise allerdings sehr gehoben. Pluspunkt fürs Ambiente, man sitzt recht nett draußen im Biergarten, das hat unsere Stimmung aber auch nicht mehr erhellt nach dem chaotischen Service.

Ihr wart mal ein tolles sehr leckeres Restaurant. Ich kam gerne seit bestimmt 15 Jahren. Was ist nur passiert? Muffeliges ungepflegtes Personal. Qualität des Essens unterirdisch. Alles in allem sehr schmuddelig und abgeranzt. Schade:(

Schöner Ort, Pizza ist gut. Pasta für den Preis eher mäßig und insgesamt etwas teuer: Pizza Diavola + Pasta mit Garnelen + 2 Getränke ~40€

We had excellent service from the start, and then our Amaretto (in the correct glass) and coffee. The seating is comfortable. The temperature is perfect today. Just brilliant. And the apple strudel was primo!

Vorne weg, der Mitarbeiter vom Grill rechts neben dem eigentlichen Restaurant war sehr nett und schnell. Als ich aber im Aussenbereich des Restaurants nach einem Platz fragte, wurde mir nur im vorbeigehen zu gemurmelt," wenn se einen freien platz finden", ich zeigte auf einen bestimmten Tisch und dann kam die Antwort"reserviert". Kein, " einen Moment, ich werde ihnen den nächsten freien Tisch anbieten" oder "xy zahlt bald, es dauert einen kleinen Moment." Unfreundlich und unwillkommen, nach dem Motto, setz dich bloß nicht hin. Alle Kellner extrem ungepflegt und schmutzige Dienstkleidung. Es ist nur voll, weil sie die einzigen dort sind, nicht weil sie es verdienen.
