The food was very good, but it took two hours, even though two tables arrived about an hour after us and received their food earlier. The staff were otherwise friendly.

This was my second time here and I have no complaints. The food was delicious. The service was quick, and the staff was very courteous and attentive. I'd gladly come back next time.

Today, almost everything is bought ready-made and mixed, warmed up, or heated. If I order a roast duck at Strasser's, I get store-bought red cabbage, potato dumplings made from store-bought mix, duck stock mixed with gravy powder, and a reheated duck that was cooked in a large steamer the day before. These days, it's just a matter of the right oven programming. Well, bad enough, but at least the reheating should be done properly. Lukewarm duck, salty gravy, lukewarm dumplings, lukewarm red cabbage. Three people in the kitchen...not much going on... Store-bought gingerbread strudel, probably from Dinghartinger. German cuisine is simply a tragedy.

I was there for a small celebration. Good food. Very friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Fair prices. Parking is available either in the paid parking garage or on one of the side streets.

We were there for lunch with 16 people. We had pre-ordered a week in advance and agreed to dine à la carte. When we arrived on the agreed date, we only found a daily special. Upon inquiry, the waiter explained that à la carte wasn't possible for 16 people. One person ordered roast beef with onions and requested boiled potatoes instead of spaetzle. According to the waiter, this wasn't possible. The accompanying spaetzle was lukewarm, as were some of the cheese spaetzle. We brought this to the waiter's attention. The waiter's response: "He'll pass it on to the kitchen." The service was very unfriendly, the food was good but not perfect. The location is very nice, but because of this experience, we won't be going there again.

Would not recommend this place unless you are starving. Need to order 1 dish per pax, restaurant policy does not allow only drinks order. Came with 4 pax, ordered 2 big meals and 4 drinks. Was charged 10 euros extra for sharing food, was told we should have ordered kids meals if we were not hungry or waste food and harm the environment. Noticed this 10 euros and discussed after bill payment, reduced to 5 euros after discussion. What a horrible policy, and nasty experience, will not visit again. The server was rather rude too, we asked for manager but he said manager had gone home, we asked for his name but he blurted a very long german word (doubt it is his name), probably trying to confuse us. What a shame because otherwise the food was decent.

We regularly go to Strasser in Gersthofen and are completely satisfied every time. The food is always delicious, fresh, and of really good quality. The staff is friendly, attentive, and takes time to accommodate all your requests – you can tell. The prices are absolutely fair for what you get. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated, and has a really pleasant, charming atmosphere. The menu is varied – there are also great options for vegetarians and vegans. We've been there several times, both for lunch and dinner, and everything has always been perfect. Even with larger groups, everything went smoothly. A particularly nice touch: We'll be celebrating our wedding here in 2026 – the organization so far has been really good, super professional and welcoming at the same time. A clear recommendation – we look forward to it every time!

We stopped here spontaneously for lunch today, and everything was as it should be. Friendly staff who are really on the ball, very good food, whether soups or main courses, a nice and well-maintained ambiance, and clean restrooms. Another plus point is that, despite the central location, you can park in the underground garage right below.

I booked a table for 16 people. Unfortunately, they only reserved two tables for 8. The group was scattered. We couldn't really talk to each other. After asking and pleading, they refused to put the tables together. The answer was, it wasn't possible; we could sit inside. We don't have that much staff for outside. Yeah, yeah, with a temperature of almost 30 degrees. That wasn't hospitable. I'm an old Gersthofen resident, always here, so I've known the inn for a long time, even worked there once under the innkeeper Essl. The waiters could be a bit friendlier and less stressed. The food was very, very tasty. As always when we ate there. Therefore, 5 stars for the food.

The beer garden is a nice place to sit. BUT: 6.50 for a sloppy Obazten (a kind of sausage) served in a small bowl (without any parsley) with ONE slice of bread and no breadboard – outrageous.

Our go-to restaurant when we visit our friends in Gersthofen. Super delicious food. Top-notch. Very large portions. I always get a slightly smaller portion upon request. I think that's very commendable. A big thank you for that. The staff is always very friendly and competent. And the welcome is always very warm. Very nice ambiance. Since we don't eat that much anymore, we wanted to order just one meal and an empty plate, but this was rejected and we were told to order two smaller portions, which are, of course, more expensive. Overall, the meal lacked seasoning and salt. The spaetzle were completely watered down, so we received a 20% discount on one portion, even though we both had spaetzle.

I wanted to order the Strasser plate for 2 people with my wife, but in the photos you only see an oval plate with 1 schnitzel, 1 small steak, 1 slice of roast, 2 dumplings, spaetzle and salad/vegetables. The accompanying text says for 1 person who is very hungry or 2 people who have to share the plate. That's a joke, at a price of 38.80 euros. When asked, it was said that that was enough. I then ordered the Viennese style schnitzel for myself. The meat was ok, but the fries were hard fried, and many of the fries couldn't be speared with a fork. The atmosphere was appealing, the waiters were extremely friendly and not intrusive. Nevertheless, I will no longer visit Strasser.

We celebrated our registry office there yesterday. Everything went great, lovingly decorated, great service, well organized. Everyone enjoyed the food, good generous portions. A small play area for the little guests. Thanks again for everything

Was in the beautiful inn again today after half a year. The main course (ox cheeks) and salad were great as always, but the Kaiserschmarrn was unfortunately disappointing, clearly not homemade. And it was very different the last few times, you could really look forward to it. So please don't offer more than that!

Had a delicious meal at Strasser again today, Wiener Schnitzel was great. But unlike usual, the Kaiserschmarrn was not homemade. It's better not to, because the homemade one was a real bomb.

If you ever come to Gersthofen, try out the STRASSER, located right on the main street - on the corner Delicious food is guaranteed!! There is a lot to nibble on from roulade, ox cheeks and pike perch, and of course delicious Kaiserschmarrn!! try it yourself °

It is a pleasant inn with delicious cuisine. The ambience is not outstanding as it is very modern and there is comparatively little space available. Service is friendly. It is a location that is recommended but won't blow you away.

Visiting Gersthofen for two days, we were here for the first time. The historic building is beautiful to look at. As a starter I had beef broth with liver spaetzle. The broth was good, the liver spaetzle was dry and bland to my taste. We also had crusted roast and Viennese-style schnitzel, both of which were ok. For dessert I had a yeast dumpling with cherry jam. Apart from the fact that I like the original with plum jam much better, the yeast dumpling was almost as hard as a board. Worst yeast dumplings I've ever eaten.

Hello everyone, now I've tried the Strasser in Gersthofen. What can I say? It was really a very good meal. Had an onion roast. Was fried almost perfectly (medium). Sauce and cheese spaetzle were great. Good quality. The roast could have been a bit bigger. But it was enough. So guys you can go there. The menu is clear, which speaks for itself. With that in mind, have fun there.

Very service-oriented staff who also respond to special requests. It's worth taking a look at the daily menu with imaginative creations. Everything tasted very good.

The Strasser Wirtshaus advertises modern Bavarian cuisine. This is exactly what you get, fresh and finely prepared. Reservation was easy, parking in the underground car park (free for 2 hours with a ticket) underneath is not barrier-free due to the access with several steps from there. In addition to the good cuisine and the friendly staff, I would like to mention a small highlight: there is ketchup and mayonnaise in a jug on the table. Since these are packaged in small 'tubes', there are small scissors to open these packages 'accident-free'. Cheers! for this brilliant idea and thank you very much!

Really delicious roast pork, 2 large slices of very good quality, with lots of homemade (no packet) sauce, an authentic delight. The inn is also very easy to reach for people in wheelchairs. You can park in the underground car park and take the elevator to the inn. Friendly service. The children's portions also make very hungry, demanding foodies happy and full. Highly recommended.

First of all, a very nice restaurant. We were a group of 6 people. We all felt that the food didn't quite do justice to the high prices. Cranberries from a bag, unseasoned fried potatoes and spaetzle were snuff pasta and didn't even seem homemade. But what displeased us most was that we were charged without asking. In addition, the employees often gave the feeling that you were unwelcome if you didn't want a new drink or order a dessert right away. At 10 p.m. we were asked to leave, even though there was still a large table occupied by at least 20 people who didn't have to leave. If we had known that it would close so early, this wouldn't have been a place for us anyway. Since the rest didn't convince us either, we won't be visiting again. There is a lot of potential for improvement here.

Were received very unfriendly by the service. We wanted to go and eat with our little daughter and were looking forward to it, but the waitress's looks were derogatory towards us. When asked if there was anything else available, people walked around the room and said with a smile, “You can see”. Turned around with a card and ran to the tables. There wasn't even a hello. Went straight away. We found it outrageous and very rude!

Das Personal steht zu fünft hinter der Theke und quatscht anstatt bei den Gästen abzufragen ob alles passt ! Macht einen wirklich unschönen Eindruck - ebenso auch ist dieses unqualifiziert und kennt nicht mal die Gerichte der Tagesempfehlung sollte vielleicht mit dem Team besprochen werden! Aber am unsympathischsten ist der Chef selber wirkt arrogant, gestresst und genervt ! Das Restaurant hatte viele Tische frei und alle kommenden Gäste wurden in einer Reihe platziert, sodass man schön die Gespräche vom Nachbartisch hört ! Und anstatt Familien mit kleinen Kindern auch einen eher ruhigeren Platz zu geben werden die schön mitten rein gesetzt ! Das war definitiv der letzte Besuch!!!!!!! Wir kommen nicht wieder und können das auch zu 100% nicht weiter empfehlen !

You can go there, but you don't have to! The main course was a cordon bleu from the deep fryer, which didn't look like it was freshly prepared (it was more reminiscent of a frozen product). A side dish was forgotten and the only information that came up was that the service had probably forgotten. Nothing more was offered. For dessert there was a Kaiserschmarrn, which wasn't convincing either because it wasn't warm and also looked like it had come from the freezer. When I was told that it didn't taste that good, it was passed on. Here you could have offered a little something. The only thing that was convincing was the side salad. The rest still has room for improvement!

Something has been going on at Strasser in Gersthofen for some time now. Varied music program, very nice service, the food is great and the wines are great too. Good cuisine at a high level and a nice ambience. This way you can spend very relaxing sunny afternoons/evenings.

The food is really delicious and we made a short-term reservation in the afternoon and got a table for two people at 7:30 p.m. We were told that the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. It's all ok. But I find it more than questionable that the payment was made at 9:15 p.m. with the comment that the boss wanted them to finish work on time I hope the staff doesn't go shopping anywhere after 7:15 p.m. so that the retail staff can get off work on time By the way, the Strasser pub closes at 10 p.m. and the lights went out at 9:50 p.m....more than on time

We were there today, October 22nd. on site at 6:30 p.m. and asked for a table for 2 people. Although 3 tables were free and without a reservation sign, the waitress said as she walked past that she had no room today. This behavior is incomprehensible!

All tables occupied on Sunday lunchtime. Service friendly and quick. The waiting time for the food was absolutely reasonable considering the freshly prepared, beautifully presented dishes. Cordon bleu, Kässpatzn, duck, chicken slices and vegetable strudel made everyone very happy.

Wochenlang vorreserviert und dann einen Tisch am Stützpfosten zugewiesen bekommen, auch mit der Aufforderung uns einen anderen Tisch zu geben, nicht möglich, alles sei schon reserviert, lt. der jungen Angestellten. Der Nachbartisch zahlte und es wurde sofort wieder eingedeckt und Gäste zugewiesen. Unser 2. Tisch am Pfosten blieb dennoch frei, obwohl man die neuen Gäste auch dort hätte unterbringen können. Im übrigen, das Essen war nur lauwarm und die Bratensoße schmeckte nach Fertiggericht.

After we saw how positively everything was rated on a TV show, we finally wanted to try out the Strasser. Unfortunately, our three dishes were a disappointment. The cheese sparrows were ordinary, the liver was good but nothing special. What was a bit cheeky, however, was the main course salad with chicken breast (that's what it says on the menu!) When I asked whether the salad only consisted of leaf lettuce or, for example, also included carrot salad, potato salad, coleslaw, bean salad, it was emphasized that it was a large mixed salad everything! I got a handful of mixed leaf lettuce with a halved cocktail tomato, a little grated carrots and sprouts on top. The chicken breasts were 5 very dry unseasoned strips! Unfortunately there was no bread. The salad dressing couldn't be tasted, which didn't get any better after it was mixed together. Since there was no salt, pepper, oil or vinegar on the table, I asked the server for extra salad dressing. When the waitress asked whether I had already mixed the salad, I answered yes. The reaction to my answer wasn't very friendly when looks could kill. But I was promptly given a little extra dressing, and when I tried it I discovered that it only had a very small amount of spices and balsamic, but there was enough water!! Since I didn't want to bother the waitress again, I didn't ask for salt, pepper, vinegar and oil. As a former caterer (kitchen, service and boss), I cannot understand why when a guest orders a salad that salt, pepper, etc. is not automatically brought to the table, all three of us were also surprised that there was no bread with it! Now we have tried the Strasser and will not “test” it a second time. We had already seen the many good reviews in advance and did not expect such disappointment.

Wir sind eine größere Gruppe gewesen. Der Empfang war freundlich und der Service insgesamt auch gut. Das essen ist deutlich verbesserungsfähig. Vorspeise war noch sehr gut, der Hauptgang, bei mir eine Rindsroulade ist eine Enttäuschung gewesen. Sehr trocken, Blaukraut sehr wahrscheinlich aus der Dose. Die ersten Teller sind bereits seit einigen Minuten leer gewesen bis die letzten Gäste ihre Teller erst bekommen haben. Schlechtes Timing. Der Nachtisch war ok, allerdings wohl auch eher aus der Dose bzw. Glas. Die Preise für das Essen liegen im normalen Durchschnitt, für das angebotene aber etwas zu teuer. Getränkepreise sind recht hoch.
