Very cozy inn, super delicious food and a very friendly welcome.

It's not about filling up quickly here, but about enjoyment. If you count sausage salad by the forkfuls, you're better off at the Schnitzelfabrik next door. The focus is on authentic cuisine, a harmonious ambiance, and genuine hospitality – both inside and out. Down-to-earth, cozy, and with good service. Plus, hand-picked drinks, whether beer or wine. People come here to enjoy time, not to eat quickly. An honest experience – no frills, no show, simply good.

Simply amazing! The Maultaschen are among the best I've ever eaten! I also think it's great that, despite the meat-heavy German cuisine, there's always at least one creative (!) vegetarian/vegan dish. And to all those complaining about the price and/or wait time: Everything is simply made in-house, and the ingredients (e.g., the meat) are all very high quality. Of course, you pay a price, but you also pay that price in many other restaurants in Stuttgart, and for significantly inferior quality...

The Ratze is located in an area that's impossible to find if you don't have a navigation system. These are narrow, old paths, very steep, and you hope no one is coming the other way. If you want to eat something here and then take a walk afterward, you'll get your money's worth. Depending on the number of guests, you'll need to allow plenty of time. We were greeted warmly. The menu is manageable, but there's something for everyone. Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour for our food after ordering. That somewhat dampens the visit. The taste was good. Only the portion of potato salad served with the schnitzel was more than manageable. Unfortunately. The quantity should be adjusted a bit for the price. I also saw a Swiss sausage salad on the menu. €14.90. Unfortunately, I didn't see the quantity. But for that price, it must be damn good. I'm just saying ham sausage and not Lyoner, and it must also be quite large. All in all, the Ratze was okay. But because of the wait and the amount of food, the schnitzel isn't there anymore.

It's delicious, it's cozy, it's quaint, yes, and it's not exactly cheap. The quality is very good – and to all those who complain about the price, it has its price. I think a SWR pensioner can afford it too. And, folks, it's small, so be sure to make a reservation if you want to guarantee a spot.

Nice club restaurant, we had reservations. Unfortunately, by 4 p.m. on Sunday, only a torrent of the dishes offered on the menu was available. A lot of items had been cancelled. We were left with only three options. A real shame! We ended up having schnitzel with Ka salad. Good quality, but significantly overpriced for what was offered.

There were four of us, three of us ate a sausage salad. The amount would have fit on a coffee cup coaster, but it was more the size of an amuse-bouche, and at 14.50 with a slice of bread, it was significantly overpriced. Two years ago, everything was still very nice.

Nice beer garden, but unfortunately, the food prices are quite steep. Almost €20 for cheese spaetzle with salad, 2 small meatballs with potato salad for €19, and the portions are small. Some people won't be able to fill their stomachs...

What initially appears very ordinary turns out to be extraordinary! Thoughtful shopping, well-prepared, a well-stocked wine selection, and good beer, all in a gem with a truly personal touch. What more could you want? 6 stars?

People with a migration background seem to be rather unwelcome here.

We went there because of the fine food served by young people. Unfortunately, my meal wasn't that great. I had a sausage salad that was unfortunately poorly presented and served in a bowl that looked like a small side salad. There were nine forks of sausage salad. It wasn't filling. For €14, it was really poor. The quality and price definitely don't match. In the photo, the salad looks larger than it was. Compare it to the lettuce leaf as a topping.

Our family had a wonderful dining experience and enjoyed traditional, homemade food with a superb culinary twist. We loved the food selection especially the delicious spaetzle, meat platter and potato salad. Ingredients are local - even the Stuttgart cola my son ordered! The view, the surrounding vineyards and gardens and the children playing in the adjacent playground made it magical. We hope to return when we visit Stuttgart again

No, unfortunately not. We were there to grab a quick bite to eat. Unfortunately, the waitress ignored us several times. When we saw the prices, we got up and left. If you're charging almost €20 for cheese spaetzle with salad, you have to offer service.

We were really looking forward to the Ratze. It was a Sunday, not much going on, and the welcome was rather chilly. Unfortunately, no cake—okay, it can happen. Then we were completely ignored. We left after 10 minutes. It's a shame, but we didn't need that.

An absolute insider tip! I was at Wirtshaus Ratze today and was completely thrilled. The food was simply divine; I had the best schnitzel with the most delicious potato salad of my life! I've rarely eaten so well. The service was also top-notch: A tall, blond waiter served me, very polite, very attentive, and truly charming. I immediately felt at home. The location is beautiful, the atmosphere cozy, and the landlady is super friendly; you can tell the love goes into making things here. I can highly recommend this inn to everyone. When we arrived we were greeted with a “what about you?” Not so warmly received at first. First impression is difficult. The outside area is very nice and you can sit very quietly and comfortably. The menu is seasonal and rather small. Unfortunately very problematic with changing the side dishes and then comments like “you are welcome to go into the kitchen and have a look for yourself”, ketchup/mayo/sauces are categorically rejected. When paying, the wallet was counted very comfortably and we were ignored for the time being. It's a shame - we understand that it was busy because of the holiday and the nice weather. Nevertheless, something like this shouldn't be the case and we would therefore not recommend it.

A gem on the slope above Gablenberg... hidden in the allotment gardens - better come on foot or by (e)bike! Great view, fantastic little beer garden under the old chestnut tree, warm service and fine, Swabian-oriented food... we were super happy here!

We actually just wanted to see where we could walk with our dog. We passed the Ratze and became curious. We now go there, at least we try, twice a week to eat delicious, regional food. Always try something new every now and then, but Kässpätzle and Schnitzel are always there. And the wild garlic cheese pätzle, super lääääcka 😘😍😘😋😋😋

A positive surprise! From the outside we were skeptical about even going in. An allotment gardener's club home.... Then we studied the menu: wild garlic soup, Carrot soup, fish baked in beer batter, the meat from the Schwaebisch Haellische producer Community. The food was excellent. The view from there is the same. The waitress welcomed us like regular guests. In summer with a beer garden and a stage for events.

Quaint restaurant in a half-height location in the middle of allotment gardens. A young team offers a small but fine menu with modern Swabian specialties that are really good. The price is rather high for a simple restaurant, but always worth a visit. There is also a beer garden in summer

A little gem in Stuttgart's gastro landscape with an incredibly great host 😍 The view is absolutely beautiful and the opportunities to go for a walk around it are also great. The atmosphere is simply warm and familiar and great. The drink selection is very good (good beer selection if you like beer). The dishes are always super delicious! Made with a lot of love and always fresh. The ingredients only come from good sources 😉 always fresh from the weekly market. My absolute recommendation for anyone who is looking for an incredibly cute restaurant with great food and even great hosts 😃

I really like the Wirtshaus Ratze, the food and the homemade cakes are very tasty. You can tell that everything here is homemade. So there is no potato salad out of the bucket here. I think that's becoming increasingly rare. Keep it up, you're great!

Absolutely great, a not overloaded menu with home-style fare. There were 4 of us there and we all ordered something different. One tastier than the other. Very quiet area, we were able to have a good chat and the view from the terrace is very nice. The dishes change again and again so you can always discover something new on the menu - on your next visit. All in all, it was an insider tip and I hadn't eaten so well in a long time and that's what the others said too. The prices are absolutely right because people pay attention to where it comes from and if it tastes so good..... Easy to reach with a short walk.

I prefer to eat at Ratze on Fridays. The food is great and I would love to marry the cook who works there almost every Friday! The atmosphere is also very cozy!

Ratze is really a wonderful small restaurant with a very sweet beer garden. The food is honest, handmade, and tasty. That's how food should be, and after one bite of the potato salad, you know that they can cook. It's not a place for a quick meal, so bring time with you and enjoy the food.

Very nice and cozy there. Was invited to a birthday party. Food was super tasty, goose with dumplings and side dishes. Prices are very reasonable and the view over Stuttgart is also worthwhile. Staff very friendly and quick. The access from above through the allotment garden was a bit adventurous in the dark 😁. If you come from below it is much quicker and easier. Never trust navigation...

You have to be really lucky in Stuttgart if you get something decent, because all the beer in Stuttgart simply tastes terrible.

Yesterday we spontaneously had our first visit to the Ratze and from now on it won't be the last!!! Child-friendly, delicious and authentic! Nothing fancy but a world class potato salad and very pleasant service!! Until next time ✌🏼

Meeegaaaa Knödel, Spätzle, Braten, Salate... frisch und von Hand zubereitet . Das sieht und schmeckt man auch. TOP Qualität frisch vom Markt laut Inhaberin. Auch das Buffet bei privater Veranstaltung war echt mega... absolut empfehlenswert. Service läuft.... es mangelt an nix. Freu much schon auf die warmen Tage und auf den schönen Biergarten mit tollem Ausblick.

Bodenständig, ehrlich, gut. Das beschreibt das Ratze und sein Team. Ein Speiselokal mit guter saisonaler Küche und einer soliden Getränke Auswahl. Das Essen ist stets selbstgemacht und die Karte wird wöchentlich neu geschrieben, von Hand versteht sich. Ich gehe hier immer gerne hin und genieße Abende voller Genuss und Gastfreundschaft.

Den vorigen Rezensionen ist nicht viel hinzuzufügen. Außer: Die Ratze ist derzeit die beste Adresse für gutes Bier, traditionelle Gerichte, aber auch untypische vegetarische Speisen im Stuttgarter Osten, vielleicht sogar auẞerhalb von Stuttgart. Auch der gemütliche Biergarten mit Konzertbühne lädt zum längeren Verweilen, Feiern und Entspannen ein. Man spürt als Gast, dass die Chefin und das Personal mit Liebe zum Ganzen hinter allem steht.

Supernettes gemütliches Berghütten-Feeling mit sehr leckerem bezahlbaren Essen und sehr sympathischer Chefin. Gelegentlich tolle Kulturveranstaltungen. Ganz arg schöner Blick auf Stuttgart und im Winter oft Glühwein - auch sehr nett vor der Hütte.

Die guten Rezensionen haben uns neugierig gemacht. Standen letztendlich vor verschlossenen Türen. Laut Homepage offen und kein Hinweis dazu. Der Weg war umsonst.... Beim 2. Versuch alles Bestens. Alles sehr lecker und frisch. Insbesondere hatte uns es Der spitzenmäßige Kartoffelsalat angetan.Auch individuelle Wünsche werden gerne erfüllt. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Gemütliches Lokal mit leckerem Essen, freundlicher Bedienung und fairen Preisen. Im großen Biergarten unter einem Kastanienbaum mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht kann man es sich gutgehen lassen; die meist regionalen Gerichte sind, wie bereits gesagt, durchweg lecker. Das Lokal kann auch für größere Feiern gebucht werden und ist auf jeden Fall mehr als einen Besuch wert.

The view…simply WOW 🤩…from the beer garden, on one side you get a spectacular view of the Neckar valley and on the other side, terraced gardens up the hill…The Food…we had the schnitzel with potato salad and also tried the kasse speptzle…🤤 The staff are super friendly and attentive to your needs…The prices are very reasonable…great value for the money…highly recommended for anyone who loves great food with great service at a great price at a great location.

Seit Juni 21 Betreiberwechsel. Die neuen Betreiberinnen sind einfach spitze. Die besten Kässpätzle überhaupt und frischer Salat. Essen handmade und null convenience. Auch die Schnitzel sind selbstgemacht - man hört aus der Küche das emsige Schnitzelklopfen und genauso schmecken sie auch. Der Ausblick ist herrlich und der Biergarten wunderschön. Ein echtes Kleinod, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Weiter so Mädels!

Sehr nettes Vereinslokal des Kleingartenverein, kleine, aber sehr gute Speisekarte, schöne Terrasse im Sommer, toller Blick über das Neckartal und die Stadt Stuttgart

Leckeres schwäbisches Essen - wie bei Oma, Mama, Tante... Einrichtung eher rustikal, man geht aber nicht wegen der Einrichtung sondern wegen der Gastfreundschaft, handgeschriebenen Speisekarte und dem leckeren Essen dort hin. Preise sind übrigens auch sehr fair. In der Umgebung kann man toll spazieren gehen und im Sommer kann man draußen unter großen Bäumen sitzen.
