The two waiters were very nice, but the waitress was in a very bad mood. Ordering food was quick, but unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for the food to arrive. Some of the tables were broken. And if you want a seat and everything from the previous person is still there, you have to clear it away yourself.

A lovely restaurant with delicious food. Reservations are recommended during the season. Otherwise, expect quite long waits due to the high volume of guests. Overall, I would rate everything as GOOD. We've eaten here several times.

It's difficult to categorize. The restaurant is supposed to be a Bavarian inn. The service is overwhelmed, but can be very friendly. There were plenty of free seats outside, but the table wasn't set. So I had to sit inside. (I can understand that, since each waiter has their own area and there are simply too few waiters.) You have to be lucky with the food: if the restaurant isn't too busy, the fried potatoes are delicious. Otherwise, they seem to have been reheated. The side salad sits in a small bowl on the plate in the gravy. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and was served quickly. The price/performance ratio is right.

We really enjoyed the food, and the prices were perfectly reasonable for the Baltic Sea. The service wasn't that good; after a 20-minute wait, we asked the waiter if we wanted to order. Others had already left in the meantime. Maybe they were just having a bad day or were understaffed. We can't tell after just one visit. We would definitely go again and see if the service is better. The food is definitely worth it.

We recommend the delicious apple pie with fantastic ice cream. The cinnamon flavor is palpable.

We have more positive memories of Leo's from previous vacations. Unfortunately, it's gone down a lot! Ordered an ice cream sundae and didn't get what was pictured. Plus, there was one scoop less, and it was in a children's cup! Went there on schnitzel day, and unfortunately, the schnitzels were dry and too thin. I'm not so sure about hygiene... the cutlery was okay, but the tables and floor could have been cleaner...

We found a seat that hadn't been cleared yet, which wasn't a problem for us. The table next to us then told us we had to be patient, it would take forever. A waiter had noticed us but didn't serve us; he was standing right next to us and didn't even look at us. He completely ignored us. We sat and waited patiently for 30 minutes, but no one came to us, so we had to leave the restaurant. Very disappointing.

Super nice, super fast, super delicious food

Simple food, but okay. Mass production during the season. Prices, like everywhere else in Ahlbeck, are 30% higher than comparable restaurants in the country... Since there aren't many alternatives and the menu includes everything from burgers to schnitzel, it's worth stopping by...

I wanted to give the bad reviews a chance and see for myself. Years ago, it was our regular restaurant, but after another bad experience, we stopped going back. We wanted to try it this week, but we definitely won't be back. A completely overwhelmed waiter, a lady who was happy that the greedy seagull was there, and another waiter who lectured customers about only sitting at cleared tables. Unfortunately, no tables were cleared, so customers aren't welcome. At least the food tasted decent, even though we had to wait a very long time for it.

We were out with the family on a sunny day and wanted to have dinner at a restaurant. My girlfriend, my son, and I arrived at 6:30 p.m. and were given a recently vacated outdoor table. It was only sporadically prepared for new guests (it wasn't wiped down, cutlery wasn't refilled, and the salt shaker was missing). I was able to order our drinks after about five minutes, and they arrived relatively quickly. I had to wait until 7:25 p.m. to order dinner. No one came before then because the staff there is completely overwhelmed. There are only two waiters on duty and untrained assistants who work without any commitment to service. (I could see this at the neighboring table when drinks were simply brought to us as we walked by.) The food was hot and arrived promptly after ordering. My son had pasta with tomato sauce. Value for money is, as we all know, debatable. I can't blame the service alone, but the service isn't what you'd expect from a top-notch restaurant. I don't want to offer any advice, but the owner should definitely work on the overall quality. We ate there once and never again.

I can't understand some of the reviews here. Ketchup and mayo cost extra, schnitzel is too thick, fries aren't homemade, and service is unfriendly. Ketchup and mayo cost extra almost everywhere. If the schnitzel is too thin, people complain that it's just breadcrumbs. Fries are homemade—how can that work with the masses? Many want a star rating and prices like Aldi, which isn't possible. Unfriendly service, which isn't what I've experienced here. If people just complain and, like I saw at the neighboring tables, round up €78.50 to €80, or pay €52.50 with a card and don't give you anything, I'd be in a bad mood as a server, too. We really enjoyed it, and everything was fine. We'll be back.

Very tasty food, friendly service and good atmosphere.

We visited this restaurant on a cloudy and rainy day — we wanted something warm and cozy. I saw solyanka on the menu and was so happy — it seemed like exactly what you need in such weather. But, alas, it’s hard to call it solyanka: it’s more like tomato soup with similar ingredients. I can’t say that it wasn’t tasty at all — I ate everything, but my expectations were different. The young man ordered fish sticks with mashed potatoes — the portion was more like a child’s one. But for dessert, I took waffles with apple mousse — and they really pleased me, very tasty 🍏🧇 Overall, it’s not bad, but not particularly delightful. It can be better.

It used to be much better. Now it's more like a cafeteria atmosphere. The service is poor, and the food leaves a lot to be desired. But at least the prices have gone up. It's a real shame about such a lovely place.

We reserved a table last weekend. Everyone was very friendly right from the reservation. We were seated, they brought us pillows, and a friendly waitress came quickly to take our drinks and food. We didn't wait long for the food either. When the food arrived, there were clear differences. My portion was very good, tasted great – as was my son's meal, although he did have to add more seasoning… My husband's portion, however, was an absolute joke. I knew immediately that it wouldn't fill anyone up. There were hardly any side dishes, and the schnitzel was also very, very dry. What a shame. We would also like to point out that the menus urgently need updating, as some of them are practically falling apart.

I went there to eat with my family this evening. The service was completely overwhelmed... And the cleanliness really needs attention... [Dirty glasses and bottles; no cutlery on the table; the restroom left a lot to be desired, and at the end, I noticed on the receipt that I had been overcharged - returned it without a problem.] The food was okay. With too few staff, a rush is impossible to handle... And, as I said, hygiene absolutely must be taken care of.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. Prepared without love, the schnitzel was small and dry. The salad was from a packet and without any dressing. You can do much better at home with little effort. Better go somewhere else on your precious vacation! 2 stars for the friendly waiter who was very attentive.

Unfortunately, disappointing! We weren't impressed by our visit. The schnitzel with pineapple was extremely dry and tough – barely edible. The portion was also quite small for the price and not very filling. The drinks were okay, but overall, the food didn't meet our expectations. Hey, I was here with my family for dinner today. The waitress seemed very tense. The wait time for my family was normal (45 minutes), although at one table a family waited over 30 minutes just for four drinks. But the overall atmosphere was fine, and the food was delicious. The prices are high, but not outrageous. I would personally reserve a table before my next visit, because otherwise, you can't count on getting a table outside. We also had much smaller portions of side dishes compared to the table next to us! A truly immense difference. And a bike rack would be nice, too. Regards

Full marks, and absolutely deserved! I was there today with my partner and my three sons, and I have to say it was amazing! The food was amazing, the ambiance very pleasant, and the service simply perfect!!! It's a shame that was our last day here; I would have loved to come here more often...

Solid restaurant...super friendly service. The food is homely and of more than adequate quality. It's not Michelin-starred, but the price/performance ratio is good.

We've been going to Heringsdorf for 12 years, and in the beginning, we often went to Leos. The food and service were top-notch. Over the years, we discovered some very good restaurants in Poland, where we cycle every evening. Today we wanted to go to the Ahlbeck Festival, but we had to stop due to heavy rain and, like many others, went to Leo. The sudden rush overwhelmed the small staff, so the wait was quite long. The female server showed enthusiasm and her cheerful mood was also fantastic. After we were finally able to order, the food arrived quite quickly. And that showed why we prefer Polish restaurants. The cheeseburger had a bit of a McDonald's flavor. The schnitzel came with canned sauce. The side salad looked like it had been left yesterday, with an inedible dressing. The waffle was beyond bland. For us, it was clear: never again would Leos in Ahlbeck. In addition to the bad food, there was also the partially sticky table and a more than dirty restroom. We can't recommend the restaurant, but everyone should make their own experiences. Perhaps they have better food and friendlier service.

Very inconspicuous, but great food.

We went to Wirtshaus Leo after several friends recommended it to us. It was an absolutely fantastic visit: friendly service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere.

Upon arrival, the tables were sticky. Our request to wipe them was met with annoyance. The waitress with glasses was very unfriendly and rude. My husband's glass had a crack from top to bottom, and they replaced it. The food was mediocre. We had two schnitzels and one meatloaf. One of the schnitzels was half gristle and barely edible. The paprika and onion schnitzel was okay, but the sauce was very diluted. The fried potatoes weren't cooked well.

The first and last time. Apparently, there's no friendliness. Many customers today just shook their heads.

Thursday is schnitzel day, always delicious. A must every year.

It was my first and last time there. The waitress's glasses clearly needed replacing. The woman with the glasses reeked of alcohol. This immediately put me off the meal. I had to go outside to finish my meal.

We ate and drank something at Leo's while on vacation. When we drank from the glasses, we noticed that they weren't clean. When we asked if we could please have clean glasses, we received a very rude reply, saying the glasses were clean, but that the stains were from our hands and lips. On top of that, the service was lackluster and overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. Our conclusion: once and never again. It's a shame, as the restaurant actually has a great location.

A truly touristy restaurant. I ordered Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad. The fried potatoes were mushy, the schnitzel bland and dry, and the salad came without dressing. I ordered white wine and got a watery spritzer. The staff tried hard, but nothing more. Absolutely not the best value for money. A waste of every euro. Never again!

A very cozy restaurant in the heart of Heringsdorf. It also has a large outdoor terrace with umbrellas and, in some cases, beach chairs. Service was very friendly and the food was delicious 😋. We'll be back, thank you.

There were three of us in the restaurant: two adults and one child. We had schnitzel twice, once with fries, once with fried potatoes, and once with rösti. Everything was at the snack bar level; it wasn't outstanding; the schnitzel was tough and dry. The mineral water had a strange, somewhat disgusting taste; otherwise, the food was mediocre. Furthermore, the service was relatively attentive but unfriendly. As is often the case on a vacation island near a beach, the restaurant relies on its location. Tourists have to visit the restaurant simply to get something to eat, but the quality unfortunately leaves much to be desired.

Glasses partly very stained, staff seem very listless and annoyed

We were on a short vacation on the island of Usedom and wanted to have dinner at Leos on Thursday, June 16th, partly because of Schnitzel Day!!! But unfortunately, we discovered that they only accepted reservations. Since everyone had moved from outside to inside that day, there were naturally no tables available... Due to the somewhat bad weather, only a few were sitting outside!!! But since we still wanted to eat there, we made a reservation for Friday evening, even getting a table by the large window in the middle. The manager kindly explained this to me later. They were really busy those days. After ordering, she had already said it might take a while, which I thought was fine. But in the end, we hardly had to wait any longer than usual. We still ordered schnitzel, which was really delicious. She was also very friendly with the bill.

Hello. I ate there today around 8 p.m. with my little boy and my partner, and I was really looking forward to it, as Thursdays are schnitzel day (each schnitzel dish for €13.50). Junior had pasta with tomato sauce from the kids' menu, and we adults had schnitzel. My partner had Viennese-style schnitzel with fried potatoes, and I had schnitzel with mushrooms and onions and fries. Each schnitzel came with a small salad in a bowl. As I trained as a chef myself and worked as one for many years, I'd like to point out possible improvements. There's not much to complain about, but the schnitzels could have been a bit thinner, reminiscent of real Viennese schnitzels. The tomato wedge shouldn't have been cut by anyone with poor motor skills, and I would have preferred some cheese with Junior's pasta; his dish looked a bit underwhelmed. The young service team consisted of seemingly untrained staff who seemed a little overwhelmed at times, but served very friendly. Now finally, for the particularly positive impressions! Everything was delicious and technically well-executed! Superb fried potatoes and mushrooms with onions, absolutely perfectly seasoned and beautifully seared—someone should try to replicate that from the chefs! And although Junior's pasta looked a bit bland, the sauce was very tasty. If you tweak these few small things, it's absolutely fantastic. I can definitely recommend it and will return on my next vacation, if only for the good value for money. I wish the team all the best and keep up the great work—very solid service! And a special thank you to the kitchen—it was truly delicious, thank you very much!

Very good selection of food and good

Very unfriendly, wanted to reserve a table but it wasn't possible for whatever reason, so friendliness is a foreign word there, not recommended

Venison goulash with penne pasta: too small a portion, the pasta was overcooked, and the sauce was like something out of a Maggi packet. Pomeranian and pork schnitzel: The Pomeranian was okay, but the schnitzel was absolutely drenched in oil and the mushrooms with onions were too salty. Service: Our plates weren't cleared after walking past the place five times, nor after paying. Not recommended.

Food: plentiful and hearty. Service: untrained and disoriented. Cleanliness: inadequate.

This restaurant was recommended to us, so we happily went there. It quickly turned out to be a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, you can't give this lady any negative points. We asked for a table for 6 people. Of course, we had to chase the staff! After an annoyed look, we were told there was only one inside. We would have taken two individual tables, but the staff didn't respond, absolutely nothing. They were totally annoyed with the half-full seating. What a shame. So we couldn't comment on the food. We then moved on and visited a restaurant that wanted customers.

Great, these people know how to cook steaks. Great quality and really friendly service. It's a shame we didn't visit Leo's until the last day of our trip.

Unfortunately, our visit to Wirtshaus Leo in Heringsdorf was very disappointing. There were several incidents during the service that should not have happened: A waitress almost dropped the glass while serving a beer (to another table), but her hands were in the beer – but the beer was still served to the guest. We also saw another waitress help herself to fries from a plate, which was then brought to the guest as usual. Later, a waiter was clearly visible sitting on a cabinet behind the bar, smoking an e-cigarette – right in the dining room. This unfortunately appears unprofessional and is questionable from a hygiene perspective. When paying, we were accidentally overcharged (€64 instead of €46). We did get our money back, but only after a while. Overall, we were disappointed by these incidents, as we had been looking forward to a pleasant restaurant visit. We hope this feedback helps us avoid similar situations in the future. On the positive side, the food was delicious.

A very nice location with a pleasant atmosphere and a very clear menu, simple but tasteful. The only downside is that the staff is constantly understaffed, despite trying so hard. Management definitely needs to take action here... It's borderline awful how the staff is being exploited here!

Update 2025: Oh my god, what has happened here? This used to be a really great restaurant with great service. Unfortunately, nothing of that remains. The service no longer has any structure. Why doesn't one person stand behind the counter and prepare the drinks while the others just serve? Every server tries to do everything, which of course goes wrong. Sometimes the staff runs around the dining room, which only causes disturbance. Drinks arrive at the table much too late. Sometimes they arrive after you've already finished your meal. The service is sometimes unfriendly. The food has deteriorated. For example: frozen patties on the burgers. It's a shame, but we won't be back. 2021 Review: Affordable and delicious. Nice and friendly service. The solyanka is always good. We'll be happy to come back.

After about 20 minutes of waiting, the waiter announces outside that he's no longer serving those tables. There are no barriers or anything else in place. It's a shame that they don't want to serve several full (!) tables and only hear this after an eternity of waiting.

It's a bit dated, and so is the service and quality of the food. Chip shop food is of higher quality and considerably cheaper. That's it for us for now; maybe we'll return after a reset.

Meine ohnehin nicht großen Erwartungen wurden bestätigt. Service überfordert. Das Essen wurde zügig serviert. Die Getränke kamen, als wir mit dem Essen fast fertig waren. Das Bezahlen war schwierig weil das Servicepersonal uns trotz Bemühungen nicht zur Kenntnis nahm. Nach einer Viertelstunde klappte es endlich. Dann dauerte es wiederum 20 Minute bis zur Bezahlung. Das Essen war nicht zufriedenstellend. Die Pommes waren zum Teil "überfritiert", die Bratkartoffel waren von sehr unterschiedlicher Form und Größe. Eckig. und in Scheiben. Der Speck in den Kartoffeln war zum Teil so hart durch zu langes Braten, daß man um seine Zähne fürchten musste.

I cannot recommend this restaurant for the following reason: a restaurant with outdoor seating, an estimated 100 seats, one waiter and one waitress who were naturally overwhelmed; I felt sorry for them; some of the tables hadn't been cleared, which is no surprise when you only employ two waiters! 25 minutes went by before they took our order. The counter was full of glasses that hadn't been washed 🙉 the woman at the counter washed glasses and refilled them at the same time, even she could have used some help! After another 20 minutes we got our two drinks; I had ordered a cod fillet for 24.50, which of course was half the tail piece with oily fried potatoes where the onion pieces were burnt and inedible, and there was a cucumber salad that had more onions than cucumbers! This boss is cutting costs at the wrong end! I feel sorry for the staff, they are completely overworked.

I can't find the right words to describe what we were served. Ready-made schnitzel, dry as a shoe sole. Brown, expired salad and drinks that had probably been sitting out for days. No carbonation left. Simply disgusting and not recommended!!!

Today is Thursday, schnitzel day, which I was really looking forward to. But then this happened. I walked into the restaurant at 5:50 p.m., there was a huge racket and two completely overwhelmed waitresses. Our orders weren't taken until 6:20 p.m., with the words: "We're on vacation and you have time." Then there was shouting behind the counter about how some sh*t glass was sh*t. The way the guests were treated was disrespectful and rude. And when we then waited another 20 minutes for our drinks, which simply didn't arrive, and other guests had to wait 30 minutes for their bills - I don't know if they ever got them - I decided to leave.

From the outside, this typical seaside restaurant on the beach promenade features seaside architecture. The building, both inside and out, is ripe for a facelift. It took 40 minutes from our seating at the table to our "first contact" with a waitress. With several open windows and people unable to close the doors, it was a thunderous draft. But none of the staff cared. After ordering, it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. The quality and quantity are acceptable, but nothing truly mind-blowing. The interior, especially the seat cushions, also needs urgent sprucing up! The staff all speak Eastern European languages, and their attentiveness is still lacking! Bottom line! Full but not happy!

All in all, a good restaurant. We were there the day before Father's Day, and it was busy. Unfortunately, there were only two waiters, which meant there were sometimes longer waits and orders were forgotten. The currywurst with fries are very tasty and highly recommended. The cod fillet with fried potatoes was also nothing to complain about. The aspic with fried potatoes was also good. Overall, we enjoyed the visit, but when the place is really full (+outdoor area is full), two waiters can't keep up.

We had lunch there today. We had a hamburger and a Country Burger. Both were freshly prepared and delicious. The restaurant was busy. The service was prompt and very friendly. The prices are reasonable.

We spontaneously went there for dinner and can recommend it. It was very good value for money for a beach restaurant and also very tasty. Very friendly service, and there weren't long waits, even though the restaurant was full.

Leo serves cuisine with a focus on regional produce. The menu offers a selection of fish and meat dishes, and there are also vegetarian options. On my first visit, I managed to get a table despite not having a reservation; the servers were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. On my last visit, it was a real storm. Despite a prior phone reservation, no reservation was recorded in the book (why call in the morning, and even spend money on the phone call?!). Despite repeated requests (three times!) for the bill and a total wait of almost 30 minutes, I was only able to pay after the third request. The waitress was stressed; it was busy, BUT there's no need to raise your voice; I didn't either. I work in the service industry myself, and I have no sympathy for passive-aggressive behavior.

Great restaurant. Every Thursday is schnitzel day. We'll definitely be back. €10.75. Great. We were there again a year later, see the picture on the right. It was a children's schnitzel, and now costs €13.50. I'm very disappointed with today. Drinks were ordered, but they didn't arrive. Sadly, we'll eat somewhere else in the future.

We were there on "Schnitzel Day," the evening of May 15, 2025. Each schnitzel on the menu was €13.50. Great deal. We'd already been there for coffee and cake in the afternoon, so we reserved the same table for 6 p.m. The menus were "old" and simple. With stains and tears. Unfortunately, the tables were also dirty. Glass marks everywhere. Probably because they don't use coasters. And because they don't wipe the tables after each guest. The cutlery tray is on the table; you can serve yourself. Here, too, there are dirty dishes in places. There was green stuff stuck to the rim of my coffee cup (whether it was parsley or chives or something else, I couldn't identify it; they don't serve dirty cups). While taking orders took a while in the afternoon, it was a bit faster in the evening. I had the Hawaiian schnitzel, and my companion had the schnitzel with mushrooms. The food was good and manageable, but more than sufficient. The fries, unfortunately, weren't homemade. However, the schnitzel was of very good quality. My only negative point is the tiny slice of pineapple on the Hawaiian schnitzel. Given the size, there could have been two slices, then the entire schnitzel would have been covered. It's a shame that you get charged extra for the mayo with the fries, and that you only get a simple squeeze bag that even said "Salad Mayonnaise" on it. My companion's 0.5-liter glass of beer was also only about 0.4 liters. However, after a complaint, they kindly gave me a new glass of beer with more beer than the difference. Thanks for that. But it wouldn't have to be that way if you pour the right amount right away (although, according to other reviews, this seems to be a constant problem). I would actually only recommend this place on schnitzel day, though.

We like trying new things. And we landed here via an internet search. With one exception, we were very pleasantly surprised (the exception being the preparation of the chai latte). A quirky, clean, and inviting restaurant right on the beach promenade. The staff is very friendly and quick on their feet. First a delicious meal, then off to the beach. We'll be back.

I had mashed potatoes with liver, very good. My second dish was the fried pike-perch, two nice thick fillets with fried potatoes, nice and crispy with bacon, very tasty. Will be back

We visited more than once during our vacation on the island. We were completely satisfied. The food was delicious, and everyone (except the other tourists) was really nice. Even though it was completely full and we were lucky to get a table, the food came quickly! The best fries on the island!

Delicious food at a good price, but the service still needs improvement. We had to wait quite a while to pay, and other guests waited a little longer for their food because different employees were taking and serving orders. Consequently, the employee went to two or three wrong tables with the food and couldn't figure out where to put the plates, which then got a bit cold until it was clear who should get them.

A very successful visit, from the service to the food and the ambience. The schnitzel was really great and the fresh asparagus was also very tasty. See you soon, we look forward to your next visit!

Es sollte bis 21Uhr die Küche geöffnet sein. Wir waren um 20.30 Uhr dort. Da sagte uns die polnische Kellnerin, dass die Küche geschlossen ist. Unmögllich! Und das in der heutigen Zeit. Wir werden dort nie wieder einkehren.

Had dinner there today. Coincidentally, Thursday is schnitzel day. All schnitzel variants for just under 14 euros. It was very tasty with fried potatoes and salad. Really great. I can only recommend it.

Ordered 0.5l of cola and that's what I got. We had the chicken burger and the minced steak with fried potatoes. So the burger was unfortunately a total flop. The steak was okay but not good but the fried potatoes were delicious. Service could definitely be improved, the waitress was very good, but the waiter was a total disaster, leaned on our table with both hands while we were eating, which I didn't find that cool. So the inn won't be there again, I'm sorry. Prices are steep and unfortunately you don't get anything close to what you get for it.

Stopped for a quick 4-way beer slide while walking past. Great idea. Service extremely friendly. Next time we'll stay for dinner😉

Everything was fine so far, service took a while. Probably too few staff. But everything was friendly and the food was delicious.

Nettes Ambiente, erst nette Bedienung. Schnitzel war trocken und zäh, die Panade fettig, Bratkartoffeln nicht frisch. Der Teller wurde dann von einer männlichen Bedienung fast noch beim Essen weggezogen. So schnell konnten wir gar nicht reagieren.

The location is good. The staff gives the impression that they don't need the money. We were just about to leave when, after walking past the third time, the waitress came. Food and drinks sometimes arrived at the table at the wrong temperature and/or incomplete. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat together because of this. All in all, it's a shame that the service doesn't do justice to the location. We were there once and that was it.

Stopped in spontaneously and had a great meal. Matjes with fried potatoes and beefsteak with fried potatoes, super tasty. Top service, again at any time
