The food was ok. I had a plaice that I thought was overcooked, my wife had a tarte flambée. The dough was probably a pastry dough, definitely not a tarte flambée dough. The topping was probably cream cheese. My wife liked it, so I won't complain any further. The toilets are relatively clean, but a bit of paint wouldn't be a luxury. The picture of the door handle is from the toilet.

We all had stomach problems after the ice cream. By early lunchtime there were no more strawberries or yoghurt. The friendliness of the waiters leaves a lot to be desired. It's a 50/50 chance of catching someone nice. The ambience is supposed to be reminiscent of grandma's living room, but it's more of a place for allergies. Carpets that smell and throw dust. Cocktails taste strongly of alcohol and syrup... Not fruity or anything like that.

We were there 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good. My wife had the fish plate and the fish was fried to death. Same with my onion schnitzel. The fried potatoes were warmed up. Were not there again after that.

We were looking forward to a nice pork fillet with cream mushrooms and croquettes. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The croquettes and the cream mushrooms were very well seasoned, only the pork fillet was dry, not cooked through and tough. On the second lap it was good but still dry. Not good.

Highly recommended, good food and if you choose the special menu at a great price. Always busy and everything is served quickly.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The fish soup: It couldn't get any fishier than this. A pleasure. And relax and sit under the linden trees and look across the promenade to the sea. What more could you want?

We expected more... waffle with ice cream was ok. Waffle good firmness and not too sweet. Vanilla ice cream is also not too sweet and has a pleasant vanilla note. The "fusion of white chocolate and strong espresso" drink was just a very sweet hot drink. We couldn't taste the espresso at all. White chocolate also tends to be less... sweetened milk is more common... What a shame! Especially when there is a selection of "hot chocolate variations", we would have expected much more in terms of taste. We have enjoyed white hot chocolate much better. Service was also okay.

I went out to eat on the first day of vacation and the pike perch dish was really tasty Because of the good experiences, I was looking forward to the food on the second day of vacation. I have rarely eaten something so bad: the breaded schnitzel was more breading than meat, the croquettes were almost burnt, and the mushrooms with sauce tasted like Maggie Wed/Fri is schnitzel day with a 20% discount. Apparently you have to recoup the price somehow You also had the feeling that the waitress didn't enjoy her work

There were three of us there last week and we wanted to eat. We were there at 7 p.m. First contact with the waitress was 7:30 p.m., order placed. Drinks came at 8:00 p.m., food came around 9:00 p.m., the food was lukewarm, schnitzel was burnt, vegetables were out of the freezer. Service was absolutely unfriendly, she had to apologize at every table. Many guests left early, a complete disaster. I've never experienced anything like that. I see an urgent need for action by GL here. I'll tell him about it personally.

I think there's a big difference whether you show up for coffee or dinner - especially if you read the previous reviews. We were there for dinner, there were even a few tables left, staff were running around, but we still waited 20 minutes for the menu, then another 30 minutes for the drinks and the food finally came to the table lukewarm an hour after ordering. If you saw the faces of the waitresses, well, they spoke volumes, very noticeably annoyed and overwhelmed... there was no smile at all. The food wasn't really fresh, which would justify the waiting time, as they served mushy frozen vegetables that had been carelessly warmed up. Onions raw, cut way too big, spread over the top. However, the fish was tasty, although barely seasoned. Tables, chairs and especially "plastic decorative flowers" are very old. Unfortunately, absolutely no recommendation (which we also heard from neighboring tables).

We were at our table last night at 7 p.m. Our order was taken at 7:15 p.m. Drinks came after 20 minutes. After waiting 1.5 hours, we still didn't have our food. The request was responded to, but there was still no food. We then asked for the bill for our drinks and look at the food was also on the bill. After a short discussion, we paid for our drinks and left the restaurant hungry at 9:20 p.m. If you're really hungry you shouldn't eat there.

So we were there for the first time and were completely satisfied. Of course you wait a bit for the food, but at home you can't cook in 5 minutes. The service was very friendly and special requests were also fulfilled.

Everything was fine, but parking spaces are very far away. It's a good thing for wheelchair users because everything is very narrow.

It was very busy when we went to eat here. The service staff was slightly overwhelmed, but we had vacation and time. We were served very friendly. Our food was good and plentiful. You could use larger plates for serving, it would look a little more appealing. But that shouldn't be a criticism. The interior of the restaurant would deserve 6 points, it is absolutely beautiful, you feel like you have been transported back in time.

Bad service, even worse food. The location was not very busy, with a maximum of 4 tables occupied. We waited a solid 20 minutes for a drink/menu. Which was then peppered onto the table. The food itself was lukewarm, the fried potatoes were hard or not fried at all. The baked chicken had no differences to the regular fried chicken. When it came time to clear up and pay, we were again deliberately ignored for a long time and then rather grumpily charged. Conclusion: If you run a restaurant, you should hire friendly and service-oriented staff. As a cafe, you should only serve cafes and cakes or staff the kitchen so that the hot food at least reaches the guest warm. This is warm food and is definitely not worth the money.

We went to this restaurant today despite having previously read the reviews. We wanted to form our own opinion. Unfortunately we were disappointed! After a very long wait, we were not rewarded with good quality (as we had hoped). The dishes we ordered were neither tasty nor of good quality. It's a shame that the operator's claim doesn't go beyond the location near the beach.

I was here recently for the third time in two years. The food and service were great the first two times, so we came back with a clear conscience. However, we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our food. If the information had come before ordering, we could have decided to stay or go somewhere else, but it just wasn't very hospitable. Because of this, some guests left without paying, which is understandable. You could also have considered that the first drinks would be on the house. That's why there was simply no tip this time. However, the food was again very tasty and also recommended.

Once and never again… The service leaves a lot to be desired. No smiles, almost unfriendly. It took a while until I got the menu... the food,...I have rarely eaten so badly. Hamburger schnitzel with fried potatoes, fried egg and imperial vegetables. The schnitzel was probably from the day before and had only been in the deep fryer for a short time... hard and dry... the fried potatoes were full of fat... not a bit crispy... the vegetables were partly overcooked, partly hard... My apple spritzer had almost no carbon dioxide... tasted stale. Even one star is too many

We were there today. Waited patiently for 1 hour. You're on vacation. Now finally!!! the food came we were totally disappointed. It should be something special for us! But nothing!!! Totally carelessly done. Even better in the canteen. The place is very poorly organized!!!!!! The staff was nice though. The kitchen is not recommended!!!!!!! We know it from before as coffee differently. Should only be coffee remain.

As soon as we walked in, none of the staff smiled except for the two young ladies. We waited an hour for the food. Burnt mozzarella on the tarte flambée, fried potatoes cold and limp. You could eat everything and we were full. But that was it. The only positive thing was the ambience and the toilet which had water, soap and towel paper.

Everything is just right at Café Asgard. Price/performance ratio, service and ambience were great. I can only recommend.

Very good service and delicious food

At the beginning of the visit, the building exuded a pleasant charm with its external appearance. The waitresses should visit a new wardrobe - even friendliness cannot triumph over that. The ordering of food and drinks went quite quickly - which was a sacrifice to the quality. I wouldn't even offer the mixed fish platter in the canteen. The fried potatoes were partially burnt and the taste of the fish (zander + sea bream) was completely destroyed using a deep fryer. Furthermore, it wasn't a Hamburger Schnitzel, but an attempt to rip someone off. The cook deserves to be punished. Last but not least, my wife felt like she was going to throw up. This restaurant should return to its roots and function as a café. As a restaurant it failed. We will not recommend it and will not visit again.

We were there for breakfast and loved it. The selection was small and simple, but everything was delicious. Requests and small changes were implemented without any problems. The homemade cakes in particular were delicious and the price-performance ratio was also right. Our service was super friendly, which unfortunately wasn't often the case in other restaurants. I'm a local and I have to say everything is true

I spontaneously decided to stop there Mo.ca. 4:30 p.m., I was able to choose a table. About 30 minutes. Later the restaurant was packed and unfortunately some guests couldn't get a table. Tip: reserve a table in good time...then eating will also work. My schnitzel Hamburger style was just right, I ordered fries with it. Two beers and a Ramazzotti rounded the whole thing off. The service was good, the food was delicious and last but not least there was a 20% discount on every schnitzel on Mondays. Good luck

Nice cafe, the cakes are still delicious. You have to take some time to order, but that's no problem on vacation. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food today. We had chicken breast with tomato mozzarella and a fish platter with fried potatoes. The salad with the dishes consisted only of green lettuce, served in a kind of ice cream sundae with a watery dressing. On top there were plenty of coarsely chopped red onions, which had to be put aside for now. There was no lemon with the fish. The chicken breast tasted bland, without any seasoning. The fries were the best. However, criticism was not taken into account by the staff, who were otherwise friendly. We had eaten in the café very often during our last holidays and were always satisfied. If you read other reviews at the moment, the quality seems to fluctuate somewhat. We definitely had no luck with the food today.

Right on the beach promenade and with a view of the sea you can drink coffee, eat cake or have lunch or dinner in “Asgard” (Thor or Loki were not to be found). The service is friendly and works quickly. The interior is like 1900 and very cozy. With background music from the 20s to 50s you feel like you've been transported back. I just found the number of tables, tightly packed together, too much. There is no need for a tipping table either. Always check the furniture.

The imitation rattan furniture on the terrace matches the maritime atmosphere right in front of the Baltic Sea in Heringsdorf OT Bansin. However, if you have to look through scratched glass panes at old and faded plastic flowers, it's not as nice. The moisture that often falls from the sky at the seaside causes accumulations of dirt and mold between the support of the glass panes and the galvanized panes themselves. You can't complain very loudly about the food (accompaniment: schnitzel Hamburger style/me: fish platter), but it's more like canteen food. Although the schnitzel was large, it was also very thick, which made it difficult to eat. Good chefs know that it is a special treat for the palate when the meat is prepared as thinly as possible using a butterfly cut. My fish was fried rather tough, so I had to work hard to cut it into bite-sized pieces. It had a fairly neutral taste and was even unseasoned; no herbs or perhaps even sage butter were added. The fried potatoes weren't particularly crispy and the sauce for the raw vegetables, which was really very fresh and cut to a pleasant size, was most likely from a bottle. It's so easy to make your own salad dressing without having to take any particular risk of spoilage. The waitress with the black hair and painted eyebrows appears to have had a career as a prison guard. At least that's what her tone suggested. In any case, other waitresses were very friendly. The tip given out of politeness i. H.v. 5.94 EUR at a price of 69.06 EUR was clearly too high for me. Zero EUR would have been justified. One would think that in Bansin's oldest coffee house, neat and above all clean clothing would be important for the waitresses, but this was not the case here. Café Asgard should reorient itself, conduct staff training and take a closer look at the chef's hands. We won't be returning, but there are enough walk-in customers waiting to fill the terrace, at least in the summer. The prices are moderate, the drinks are cool. However, the menu is an absolute disaster. First you are overwhelmed with 5 pages of text (information about the establishment), then text between the food and drink offers becomes more important than the actual offer. There is no clarity here.

Very bad, after sitting down we had ordered our drinks. After about 10 minutes our food order was taken. My father wanted schnitzel with chanterelles (it was highly advertised). The waitress had to ask if there were any left (Sunday at 11:45 a.m.), after what felt like 10 minutes she came back and said they were all there (Sunday 11:55 a.m. and the place was almost empty. Weird). Well then others ordered dishes. We were still waiting for the drinks. After we asked, we were told they were work. After another 10 minutes we asked, the staff told us that the drinks were still being worked on, no effort was made to bring us the drinks (coke, cask soda and a beer) but rather to move the furniture back into place. After another 10 minutes we left. No drinks and no food. Very poor operation and service. Not worth 1 point.

Hello guys, I can't understand some recessions. We visited Café Asgard on June 29th, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., and a short time later a very nice lady came to me to take the order. I order a Berlin Weisse red and my companion a coffee. It doesn't take long until the drinks are on the table. Since the young lady was very attentive and understood the service, we were able to order the food afterwards. And it didn't take long before the food was served. We order mustard party with cucumber salad. The food was and tasted extremely tasty and the quantity was sufficient. I am very impressed by the ambience and atmosphere as well as the story. For me, Café Asgard in Bansin is number 1. Food, service, ambience top!

I can highly recommend Asgard because of the food served. However, there were small differences with the same menu from Tuesday to Thursday. However, I would say that the food is still prepared CORRECTLY. Points are deducted from the staff, despite a larger order and a tip, the "cashier" seemed annoyed and came across as unfriendly.

The restaurant is the worst restaurant on the island of Usedom. Our dinner was at canteen level: unappetizing, dry, tasteless. Industrial food. Quote from the waiter: “We don’t need guests like that who don’t like our food! Go eat somewhere else!”.

The food was good but unfortunately the portion was extremely small. 1 mini zander and 3 forks of fried potatoes. And all of this for just under 20 euros. We had to hear from the boss that we had to give something back because it was too much. I'm definitely not a glutton and I'm of normal weight. But that was really little. You leave hungry after waiting an hour.

Great clocklike atmosphere. Very tasty food. Something for everyone. Fish, meat and vegetarian. For dessert we can highly recommend the cakes and hot chocolate. To be on the safe side, reservations should be made in the evening. One of my minus points - the map could be printed in larger font. But only applies if you have visual impairment.

Food was great, had the “Asgard fish platter” The fillets could perhaps have been a little larger, but they tasted great. The service is also super friendly and fast, the waiting time for the food is about 15 minutes, which is completely OK.

Atmosphere cozy, tables are too close. There were four of us. Food is inadequate. Schnitzel "Viennese style", piece of pork, breaded, prepared in the deep fryer. A small handful of fries, 1/4 tomato salad, mostly corn kernels. The other 3 meals were also just sufficient to poor! Service okay! Things were a little better in the vegan years! Okay with cake and coffee, not recommended for food!

We were here with 10 people and wanted a coffee, a waffle for the children and 3 bottles of water. The coffee and a bottle of water came after a while. Then the waiting started and the other 2 bottles only came after we asked and the waffles took 45 minutes. The iced coffee was undrinkable and when we reported this we were not offered a replacement and it was still on the bill. We sat outside on the terrace and unfortunately the tables were probably older and we all got small splinters. Not recommendable.

Ambiance was very impressive. We had ordered for 2 people for the evening. Tables were pushed together when 6 or 8 guests came. It was very cramped with the small round tables. Private conversations were not possible. 7 guests left the café because they didn't receive any food for 15 minutes. We were there on Whit Monday and it was surprisingly unattended. 2 waitresses were extremely irritated and annoyed. Our food was probably forgotten, after 1.5 hours we politely asked where our food was; after other guests who came after us had already received their food. After 10 minutes it came, but unfortunately one thing was wrong and went back again. I got asparagus with hollandaise sauce and schnitzel, never again! 3 stalks of asparagus that were mushy and certainly not fresh! The potatoes were mushy. The hollandaise sauce tasted sour and the schnitzel was dripping in fat. 1.5 hours later I was lying in the hotel room with a bad stomach and intestinal illness. 2 days of lost vacation. We cannot recommend this cafe/restaurant!

Very friendly service, who tries very hard to offer something for their guests, even if they have uncertainties or allergies. We found vegetarian dishes on the daily menu and, upon request, received a vegan dish with seasonal vegetables (asparagus) without any problems. The waitress and her colleague were attentive and nice, joking with us. We had our two (small) dogs with us, which wasn't a problem at all in the outdoor area. The food and cyclists were very tasty, the outdoor area was well maintained and inviting. All in all, highly recommended! #vegetarian #veganoptions #dogfriendly
