Everything was more than great. Nice staff, we were allowed to bring our dog, super cozy. The food was very good and served quickly. There was even music to match the lovely ambience. We would go back anytime!!!

Three years after our first visit (for which I gave it five stars at the time) we ate there again. The prices of the drinks are completely exorbitant. Fried potatoes never saw the inside of a pan but came from the deep fryer or something similar. The consistency and taste is like chips. Some of the frozen cream vegetables were still cold. Only the schnitzels were ok. We won't be coming back.

This café/restaurant is located directly on Bansin's beach promenade. Is probably the oldest café in Usedom. So far so good. Maybe it's nice to sit on the terrace in warm weather and enjoy a piece of cake or ice cream. The dining room is cozy, but worn. We went for dinner and it was subpar. Cod with fried potatoes and mixed vegetables for 22.90. The cod died in the pan for the second time. Completely dry, you couldn't even get a third of the meat off the skin. The mixed vegetables were frozen goods, warmed up and kept warm for a long time, no salt, no pepper, no butter - tasteless and leached. The fried potatoes were ok. The friendly waitress responded to our complaint: "Unfortunately we don't have a cook in the kitchen either." It was clear to us, but who would try their luck in this kitchen? Something like that doesn't work! For these prices and the sales in this restaurant you will find a chef! And if not, then this kitchen should close! Every fish sandwich in Bansin has more style and taste than this meal. Not good and not worth visiting for food, even for half the price.

The café is of course an institution and is known to (almost) everyone. It's all the better that despite the demand and the location right on the promenade, the prices are still okay and we got a table without any problems (in the afternoon). The service is nice and quick, the food may not have been gourmet, but it was quite good. A visit here is practically a must if you are in Bansin/Heringsdorf/Ahlbeck.

We were in the restaurant on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. because the dishes on the outside tables had appealed to us during the day. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. We also had to wait over an hour for our food, but the other guests felt the same way. The liver "Berliner Style" was not only fried to death, it also contained pieces of meat that were not liver and absolutely impossible to chew. The imperial vegetables are frozen and neither salted nor seasoned. The side dishes were all cold. The only positive thing was the service from the waitress, who was the only service person who was very overworked, but did her best.

Café Asgard really has a very special charm. We felt very comfortable and were there several times. The food tastes good and the staff was friendly. But we particularly liked the decor and the music that went with it! Simply cozy.

Furnishings like an old Viennese coffee house. The service is very good. We had tarte flambée in 2 variations and this was the second time and it was tasty again.

A visit to this magical café is a must for us on every holiday on Usedom! With one of the many coffee or tea specialties, a rich waffle or a piece of homemade cake based on an old family recipe, you will be transported back to an old, romantic time in this restaurant. Be it the music, the original furniture from the last century or the attentive waitress... Everything in this restaurant invites you to feel good, linger and be enchanted.

Very cozy cafe / restaurant. The building fits the resort architecture on Usedom and is also beautifully decorated inside. We were there for coffee/cake. Homemade cakes, good coffee or tea, everything is available. We'd love to come back.

After a big disappointment at the Bierkutscher (pub in Bansin, see also review ), we were warmly welcomed into this hospitality and got a table despite the place being full. The service was very attentive and you could tell that you were welcome. Of course also because of sales. The food was good, but also developmental. We would visit this cafe again and again.

Quaint ambience in rustic surroundings, cozy and cozy, that's what the place is about, one of the oldest locations in Bansin. Our dog (medium-sized) was allowed but a reservation in advance is a must for anyone who wants to be pampered with culinary delights here. All in all, you have to have been in Asgard and for Marvel fans, Thor and Heimdahl are not standing at the gate as security.

We had dinner around 1:30 p.m. The service wasn't particularly friendly, but tried hard. Food was great. Both kangaroo lash and pork medallions. Meat was great, everything was delicious. Yes, it took a while, but I prefer that 1000 times more than having the food warmed up after 5 minutes.... The ambience is nostalgic, fitting for the oldest cafe/restaurant. Dogs were also allowed in.

Stopping for a good coffee in the island's oldest café is something very special. The right music for the stylish furnishings, in a quiet and cozy atmosphere. In autumn or winter, especially when the weather is bad, the beach promenade between Bansin and Heringsdorf is the best place to take a break and then continue your walk or hike.

We were very disappointed during our visit this year. Had ordered a table for “Die Feuerzangenbowle”. When we arrived, our table was occupied by guests who were waiting for their ordered table. The Feuerzangenbowle ordered for the film was only lukewarm and only tasted sour and bitter. Had nothing to do with Feuerzangenbowle. The waffle with cherries I ordered was covered in drained, cold cherries from the jar, and my wife had a 2-cent-sized spot of the whipped cream that came with it. Sorry, I can't put something like that out there. The ambience: except for the old television and the always funny film, unfortunately cruel. In the neighboring, open bar, the boss was arguing the whole time with the only waitress, guests constantly walking through the picture disrupted the hoped-for cozy evening, which unfortunately turned out to be a bust, just like the dog three tables next to us, who kept shaking and shaking whined around. When I organize such events as a restaurateur, I have to set priorities so that the guests have a pleasant evening.

I have to write a negative review here. The schnitzel was retort and burnt from the deep fryer itself, and there were ready-made fried potatoes, which is a disgrace to charge 19.50 EUR for. Then I forgot about the sticky onions. It wasn't even snack food. The friendly staff didn't do anything wrong.

Hello everyone. Oh man, where to start? We were here once with friends in 2023 and it was okay. It tasted good and the service was great. However, since it is a bit dark in here, you can hardly read the menu. The writing is right over a bunch of flowers. The ambience is not wrong, but some things should be freshened up and rethought. Last week we were there again and what can I say, it got worse. 2 Polish service staff, trying to bring the guests what they ordered as quickly as possible, but the male part tried to be strange in some way, which none of us understood and with each order he took an eternity to enter it into his little tablet. The neighbor's fries were cold and the schnitzel was quite dry. The crowning glory of it all, however, was the imperial vegetables. Given the prices, I expect fresh produce on the plate and not frozen vegetables at Rewe or Edeka. You could see it in the carrot slices. These have the slight wave cut. Well, then it was probably the evening of “Die Feuerzangenbowle”. Actually it wasn't a problem if you could still have a conversation. However, this was not possible given the volume. My conclusion, change something, otherwise I'll soon see blackout for you and that would be very sad that this restaurant has been around for more than 100 years. We won't be coming to you for the time being. It's a real shame, but we're not giving up on you yet. Do something.

Good restaurant - dog friendly - from the 1920s and 30s. Well thought-out and stylish ambience (furniture and music). The food was excellent. Price-performance was great - discount week 20%. The waitress (Nicole) was friendly and helpful. I'll go back again -- best regards from Balou and Gerd

It was a little journey back in time with the most delicious plum cake and the most aromatic coffee in the most cozy atmosphere, just the way we liked it. It was storming and raining constantly outside and it was incredibly comfortable inside! A real highlight during our holiday on Usedom. We came here on a recommendation and were not disappointed.

The furnishings are really very old-fashioned. 20 euros for Kaiserschnitzel with seasoned meat, croquettes and vegetables - all frozen - is a bit too much for me personally. The food was otherwise quite ok, the taste was quite bland. Schnitzel became a little too dark and hard on the sides. The map is very colorful and therefore difficult to read.

Wir waren ohne Reservierung da, wurden super nett empfangen und hatten Glück noch einen Tisch bekommen zu können. Trotz das die Bedienung etwas Angst vor unserem Hund hatte, wurden wir sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen war super lecker und das Ambiente ansprechend. Von uns ganz klar fünf Sterne. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gern wieder...., dann sicher mit Reservierung:-)

I ate at Ascard three times in October. Super tasty, everything fresh and really hot. Service is super nice. I'd love to come back. Make your own judgement! I can only recommend it! The cake is also super delicious - even though I'm not a cake eater. Anki

We cannot understand the good recessions. The schnitzel with mushrooms had cream sauce with a few cans of mushrooms and unsightly croquettes and the fish platter also left a lot to be desired. The staff was slightly overwhelmed as it was very busy. My tip would be to say no so that the staff that is still available can do the work. Sometimes less is more. Maybe serving in training pants is a no go.

The location of the restaurant on the promenade is good. The waiter was very nice and child-friendly. Unfortunately the food is subpar. The discount campaigns (20 percent off...) should make you skeptical. The quality of both the meat and fish dishes is beyond discussion. The rice pudding for the children was not edible.

There was very tasty, still warm plum cake with bitter hot chocolate and cream. Splendid. The decor is so cozy. Unfortunately, there was a somewhat unpleasant chemical smell of glaze or varnish and the service staff had no interest in us as guests. The prices for hot food are very good for this region. However, we only had coffee and cake.

Nice café, a bit old (especially the sanitary facilities). But it's nice to "hang out" there. Service was pleasantly distant, we found it funny, but I know people who can't handle it. With only 5 possible stars and a subjective opinion, you always have to make an objective comparison, otherwise I wouldn't be the right person for the Google "part-time job". It's definitely 4 stars, the cake was delicious, as was the coffee specialty. We would go there again!!

We once ate matjes with fried potatoes and tartar sauce and liver with steamed potatoes for dinner. Both dishes tasted good, but the fried potatoes were only lukewarm while the leather dish was still steaming.

I have never eaten such bad liver. The liver was cut into small pieces and completely overcooked and salty. The consistency was dry. The mashed potatoes are far too little. The apple pieces were peeled and overcooked just like the onion. Everything was mixed with the liver and was unappetizingly brown to look at.

It was really world class. If I could have, I would have ordered the portion again... Perfect….

Nice journey back in time to the 19th century in terms of furnishings and ambience. But terrible as a vegan. I ordered a small mixed salad and fried potatoes. The salad came with yogurt sauce. It was claimed that it was on the map (no, it isn't). When I asked, I was reluctantly offered a new salad with oil and vinegar. The fried potatoes came - without comment - with diced bacon. This is impossible for various reasons. I'm used to being able to only eat side dishes in such restaurants. But something like that, coupled with such rude service, hasn't happened to me in a long time. Too bad.

Missed opportunity to combine tradition and fashion/contemporary. This café is not recommended for guests with allergies, vegetarians, vegans, people who eat kosher, etc. The waitress reacts to information defensively, snidely, grumpily.

Ambience interesting, cozy, beautiful. Service very friendly and quick. However, the food is mediocre, my fish variation wasn't even that. The fish was dry, apparently pre-prepared. Even a small rescue attempt with hot butter is missing. It's a shame, really! My tip to the house: change the cook very quickly.

We reserved a table for 4 people, it wasn't very comfortable, there were 2 round tables that were put together. The food was served without decoration, we had difficulty cutting the schnitzel, maybe a different choice of cutlery. The service was friendly and quick, but the cashier wasn't nice.

Very friendly staff, great cakes, the food is also recommended. There is a deduction for dried boiled potatoes and curdled dill sauce as well as limp fried potatoes. However, the taste was good and the portions were generous. I would go there again, but there is still room for improvement, there are a lot of things that can be done with little effort to get the 5th star. As with tea, for example, teapots (different sizes and shapes) and lids tend to fit together by chance, people drink from small coffee cups or whatever these small cups are intended for. The tea has already been standing for at least 5 minutes and since the loose tea is generously sized in the sieve (actually commendable), the tea is already steeped very strongly. We tried tea 3 times, but it's a shame. Coffee seems to work better. As I said, you can go there, but not everything is perfect. The interior is well worth seeing; you feel like you've been transported back in time. The music contributes to this. Plush armchairs, fabric covering on the wall. You can also sit outside and watch the people on the beach promenade or the Baltic Sea. The service was quick, the food came within a reasonable time, and the tables were clean.

It's nice to sit outside, old furnishings inside. Unfortunately, Asgard is not worth a stop if you want to eat.

A nice atmosphere with 30s songs. So there's something for everyone over 50.

We were there for dinner and I have to say it was unfortunately very disappointing. We have never eaten worse anywhere on Usedom. Only Conveniens products are served, which are presented rather carelessly and poorly prepared. Sauces and vegetables come from the microwave. This applies to the meat dishes, I can't say anything about the fish. The staff wasn't really friendly either and my beer came after my meal! It's a shame because the location is actually good.

Staff is underground, throws menus on the table, please and thank you are just empty phrases that need to be said. Food and drink menu almost impossible to read because paper is printed with colorful flowers. After 45 minutes we didn't even have the opportunity to order drinks. Restaurant was no longer full at this point. We were ignored by all the waiters and then went to another restaurant. Even the 20% off offers don't help the restaurant if you can't even order. But luckily there are other restaurants in Bansin.

We all had stomach problems after the ice cream. By early lunchtime there were no more strawberries or yoghurt. The friendliness of the waiters leaves a lot to be desired. It's a 50/50 chance of catching someone nice. The ambience is supposed to be reminiscent of grandma's living room, but it's more of a place for allergies. Carpets that smell and throw dust. Cocktails taste strongly of alcohol and syrup... Not fruity or anything like that.

The food was ok. I had a plaice that I thought was overcooked, my wife had a tarte flambée. The dough was probably a pastry dough, definitely not a tarte flambée dough. The topping was probably cream cheese. My wife liked it, so I won't complain any further. The toilets are relatively clean, but a bit of paint wouldn't be a luxury. We were looking forward to a nice pork fillet with cream mushrooms and croquettes. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The croquettes and the cream mushrooms were very well seasoned, only the pork fillet was dry, not cooked through and tough. On the second lap it was good but still dry. Not good.

We were there 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good. My wife had the fish plate and the fish was fried to death. Same with my onion schnitzel. The fried potatoes were warmed up. Were not there again after that.

Highly recommended, good food and if you choose the special menu at a great price. Always busy and everything is served quickly.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The fish soup: It couldn't get any fishier than this. A pleasure. And relax and sit under the linden trees and look across the promenade to the sea. What more could you want?

Very cozy, nice staff and very good food

We expected more... waffle with ice cream was ok. Waffle good firmness and not too sweet. Vanilla ice cream is also not too sweet and has a pleasant vanilla note. The "fusion of white chocolate and strong espresso" drink was just a very sweet hot drink. We couldn't taste the espresso at all. White chocolate also tends to be less... sweetened milk is more common... What a shame! Especially when there is a selection of "hot chocolate variations", we would have expected much more in terms of taste. We have enjoyed white hot chocolate much better. Service was also okay.

I went out to eat on the first day of vacation and the pike perch dish was really tasty Because of the good experiences, I was looking forward to the food on the second day of vacation. I have rarely eaten something so bad: the breaded schnitzel was more breading than meat, the croquettes were almost burnt, and the mushrooms with sauce tasted like Maggie Wed/Fri is schnitzel day with a 20% discount. There were three of us there last week and we wanted to eat. We were there at 7 p.m. First contact with the waitress was 7:30 p.m., order placed. Drinks came at 8:00 p.m., food came around 9:00 p.m., the food was lukewarm, schnitzel was burnt, vegetables were out of the freezer. Service was absolutely unfriendly, she had to apologize at every table. Many guests left early, a complete disaster. I've never experienced anything like that. I see an urgent need for action by GL here. I'll tell him about it personally.

I think there's a big difference whether you show up for coffee or dinner - especially if you read the previous reviews. We were there for dinner, there were even a few tables left, staff were running around, but we still waited 20 minutes for the menu, then another 30 minutes for the drinks and the food finally came to the table lukewarm an hour after ordering. If you saw the faces of the waitresses, well, they spoke volumes, very noticeably annoyed and overwhelmed... there was no smile at all. The food wasn't really fresh, which would justify the waiting time, as they served mushy frozen vegetables that had been carelessly warmed up. Onions raw, cut way too big, spread over the top. However, the fish was tasty, although barely seasoned. Tables, chairs and especially "plastic decorative flowers" are very old. Unfortunately, absolutely no recommendation (which we also heard from neighboring tables).

We waited 2 hours for the food and then canceled it. So we left hungry. That's not possible, we'll never go there again. The guests at the next tables had a lot of complaints about their food, even after a long wait. Not recommended.

Hinweis auf Wartezeit wurde vom Personal gegeben, dass die Wartezeit dann zwei Stunden beträgt, war heftig… das Essen, wenn man es so nennen kann, war qualitativ nicht so gut, Fleisch war tot gebraten, Bratkartoffeln auf keinen Fall frisch, Rahmchampingnon… die Champignons musste man auf dem Teller suchen… das Personal im Service konnte einem schon fast leid tun, viele unzufriedene Gäste, die ihrem Unmut lautstark Luft machten… Hauptsaison und der Küchenchef hat frei… falls es einen gibt… der Koch heute kann auf keinen Fall einer gewesen sein… so etwas habe ich tatsächlich noch nicht erlebt… Schade, im Urlaub geht man ja doch eher essen und möchte es genießen.. hier aber Fehlanzeige… nie wieder
