Very crowded and still cozy. Definitely worth a visit!

We sat and waited for an hour after we ordered. Afterwards we complained to the waitress. Our order was not sent to the kitchen. Class. When the food finally arrived, there was incredibly little. We all left unsatisfied and still hungry. Not again.

We sat well and the food was also very good. Our waitress was really funny, it was a lovely evening.

A stylish restaurant with tasteful interiors and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating. A perfect place to spend a great time!☕️🍸🍽️

So again, I returned here in January 2025. And now I can confidently say the place has better service and a good menu. The menu card itself is giving you a headache but that's just the marketing. The service staff where very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our breakfast and the special atmosphere and ambiance in the morning. So, I returned here in November 2023. It's absolutely too full, packed and the seats staring at the wall are actually not nice when it's your birthday. Service is slow, kitchen SLOWER, and the food becomes SMALLER. My eggs Benedict had to squish themselves on tiny slices of half a bread, minimal Zigzag Hollandaise, and caged (I assume because of the size) eggs. Mind you, the eggs were still a bit raw, not really poached. I was so hungry, I still ate them! It's certainly stylish, but too crowded, not a great atmosphere, it's depressing, as I would say in German. Thank you, but not returning. Breakfast for 4 adults and 2 small children. The food is of course very tasty and fresh, the portions are a bit small. Eggs Benedict, for example, could be a little bigger, and unfortunately you can't really drink the new chai latte (pieces don't come off, it has a strange, sharp taste). The remaining plus points are, of course, good attentive service, sustainable ingredients, a good selection of dishes and food that tastes good. We'd love to come back.

Our visit to the Wilma Wunder was more comparable to a bad system restaurant. We were greeted right at the door with the words “just choose a table”. No hello, no good morning, no 'can I be of help?' NOTHING. At the table, the unfriendly service continued into the second round with a young man who couldn't say "hello" or "thank you". The glasses used are probably from the opening. At least I had to point out the crack in my already cloudy glass twice before a new glass was brought to me with an annoyed snort. The food was partly burnt and partly raw. But since no waiter bothered to ask if everything was okay and we didn't want to endure any more annoyed reactions on our anniversary, we just ate the parts that were edible. There was also no question as to why more than half of each plate was returned. When we were clearing up we told the waiter that we would like to pay. 30 minutes later it was finally time. After 2 more reminders that we exist and want to pay, they just casually threw a number at us and we were finally able to escape to a nicer place. Conclusion: If you like unfriendly staff, you've come to the right place.

Terrible experience with this business. The first ones will ask you if you're going to be sure or just drink, if just drink, they'll tell you they're full (an indicator of an extremely unprofessional establishment). I ordered - Wilma's Sauerbraten - €23. Total disaster, ultra thin sliced ​​meat completely tasteless, dry as a sole. Even mixing with "raisin sauce" that was not reduced at all did not help. The dumpling had been standing somewhere for a long time and was completely dry and cold. And the worst cabbage, where I seriously suspect they took the cabbage straight out of the bag and didn't cook it at all! Totally tasteless! And hard as if someone had just cut it! Big disaster! After the first taste, I immediately returned the food. I was not offered an exchange for a better meal or another meal by the waitress. After 2 minutes, the waitress came back saying that I would still pay for the food. I said that I would definitely not pay for the food when I immediately returned the food. She said she would call the manager (an unpleasant tall dark haired gentleman around 45 who seated us at the table). He came and told me that this is how the food should taste, that it is typical German. I guess the gentleman thought I had fallen from Mars and tried such a scam. I clearly told him that I will definitely not pay for the food! He said: yes, you won't pay him!? Ok - as if he wanted to threaten the police. In the end, of course, they didn't charge for the food because they saw that I wouldn't pay for it anyway. Advice for customers: never pay for something that is poorly prepared and return it, don't get robbed! And a message for the company and especially for Mr., if you want to look like a restaurant at the level, then behave accordingly and, above all, cook, not so amateurishly. Extremely unprofessional approach!!!

Schöne Atmosphäre im Wilma Wunder und leckere und frische Speisen. Schade, dass wir trotz Reservierung nach gut 2 Stunden darum gebeten wuden zu bezahlen, da schon die nächsten Gäste kämen. Ohne vorherigen Hinweis etwas schade und ein Gefühl, wie rausgeschmissen zu werden.

The food and the place are good!! Unfortunately the service is very bad. The waiters and the host are not friendly. They don't help you. We asked some questions and they didn't respond kindly. The table was too small for the food and we asked for the menu to be removed to have more space and the waiter didn't do it. We finished eating and no one bothered to remove the dirty dishes. There were many details that show that they don't have or care about providing good customer service.

Very tasty breakfast and original Saxon cuisine in a prime location right on the Altmarkt. The classics such as roulade and sauerbraten are particularly recommended, but the vegetarian dishes are just as delicious. Tips: If possible, reserve in advance via the website as the restaurant is very popular!

Food and service very average. Seating at the 6-seater table in the corner was quite drafty and the background noise from the kitchen was sometimes disturbing. Price-performance ratio is still okay for the location.

I am happy with the service and the food. All taste delicious and the food came fast. The place is nicely warm and decorated. I would definitely come here again to try more typical German dishes 😋. (Oh, and they have vegetarian options)

Negativ: • wässriger und wenig aromatischer Kaffee • hohe Preise und wenig Produkt (Strammer Max wurde mit Aufpreis für Lachs bestellt. Es waren zwei kleine Brote, ungetostet, mit einer Scheibe Lachs und einem Ei. Keine Butter oder Ähnliches. Hollondaise sehr wenig auf dem Teller als Deko. Trocken und für 17€ wirklich grenzwertig. Hier zu erwähnen: ohne Lachs wäre es nur trockenes Brot mit einem gekochten Ei und ein paar Spritzer Hollondaise gewesen - für 12€!!!) • Laut Karte alle Säfte als Schorle erhältlich - war dann bei dem Orangensaft jedoch ein Problem, da dieser frisch wäre. • Preis-Leistung grenzwertig. Aufpreise sind sehr hoch. Positiv: • nettes Ambiente • nettes Personal, welches sehr bemüht ist, dass man noch zu lange warten muss (es war allerdings auch wenig los)

We were here for breakfast, it was very full, but we made good preparations by making a table reservation. The waiters were very friendly and tried to please you. Despite a packed restaurant, the wait for service and drinks/food wasn't long. Great selection on the menu and the result on the plate was also impressive. Very fresh and delicious! The competition for restaurants in Dresden is very high and you really need good staff, a good concept, great food and the right pricing to succeed. Thankfully Wilma Wunder really delivers and manages to stand out with it's exceptionally well styled interior decoration and it's unique combination of German classics and modern european dishes. We were a large group of 12 and had a great large table together with quick and friendly service and a fab time for all.

Trotz Reservierung nur einen Tisch mit Hochstühlen erhalten. Für ältere Personen ist das ein schlechtes sitzen. Nach 1,5 Std. erhielten wir unser Essen. Das Weihnachtsessen konnten wir nicht mehr bestellen. War ausverkauft. Der Sauerbraten war trocken und zäh. Die Knödel verbrannt. Das Rotkraut war lecker. Schade, wir kommen nicht mehr wieder.

Das Ambiente und der Service waren sehr gut,aber die Hochstühle waren sehr unbequem und es war kalt ich habe gefroren. Und es war ziemlich laut,hatte das Gefühl ich sitze in einer Mensa. Das Essen war in Ordnung, die Getränke auch.

We were just there for breakfast. The food is great, but unfortunately I was very annoyed by the service. We asked for two small taps of water with our coffee. This is common practice, especially with coffee. The waiter asked again whether it should be sparkling water & I repeated: Please only two small waters from the tap. The bill then said €3 per water because they didn't give out tap water. We weren't told this beforehand, which I find really disgraceful. Especially since we ordered two full breakfasts & drinks. I would have preferred to take my tip back... Edit based on Wilma Wunder's answer: My criticism wasn't that there is no tap water. But that I wasn't informed of this when ordering and therefore paid money for water that I never ordered.

Wir waren eben zum Frühstücken da. Das Essen ist prima, über den Service habe ich mich leider sehr geärgert. Wir haben zum Kaffee um zwei kleine Leitungswasser gebeten. Vor allem zum Kaffee ist das Gang & Gebe. Der Kellner hat nochmal nachgefragt ob es Sprudel sein soll & ich wiederholte: Bitte nur zwei kleine Wasser aus der Leitung. Auf der Rechnung standen dann pro Wasser 3€, da man kein Leitungswasser raus gebe. Das wurde uns vorher nicht gesagt, was ich wirklich eine Unverschämtheit finde. Vor allem da wir zwei volle Frühstück & Getränke bestellt haben. Am Liebsten hätte ich mein Trinkgeld wieder zurück genommen..

Nie wieder! Sehr arrogantes und unfreundliches Verhalten des Kellners! Wir haben uns als Gäste, welche oft in diesem Restaurant waren, sehr herablassend behandelt gefühlt.

The location is very central and the ambience is very nice. Even with a lot of people you get lost and you can eat in peace. The food was delicious and, as usual, very good. The only thing that really bothered me/us were the drinks. Although we ordered several hot drinks, all were lukewarm and far from hot. I think that's a real shame given an average price of €5. The shots (warm/hot eggnog) were also far from hot. We hope that the next visit will be very good as usual.

Vegans should avoid. I ordered the “vegan alternative” to a dish which is their main options for vegans is ask for the alternative. I clarified with the waiter twice that he understood I wanted the vegan option and he confirmed. After that I receive the dish with cheese in it and the “vegan chicken” was concerningly like real chicken. I had my non vegan company taste it to check for me and they confirmed that it tasted exactly like real chicken. The waiter said it was definitely vegan. I showed him the cheese and he said oh but not the cheese. Sorry. But wouldn’t check that the “chicken was right”. I’ve felt sick all afternoon and after looking at the reviews on holy cow I’ve seen photos of their actual vegan chicken option and it looked not at all like my dish. This is very upsetting. I couldn’t finish the food. We were not offered for the meal to be replaced or taken off the bill so my mum who is not vegan and was there with me ate it so it wasn’t wasted. At the end the waiter admitted it was his mistake but was not at all apologetic. What’s most disappointing is I sourced this place out because other reviews had this posted as vegan friendly. I can’t fully confirm on the chicken but it really didn’t seem right. And cheese is definitely not vegan. Be cautious. Considering the cost for this experience my advice is to just avoid it.

Final dinner at Wilma Wunder before we have to leave Dresden and go back home. Nice restaurant, friendly service. The schnitzel with truffled fries tasted wonderful.

Wonderful place to enjoy with lots of vegan delicacies and nice service, even if it sometimes takes a little longer (but within reason). The kitchen, on the other hand, is very fast and the service is always friendly. Gladly again!

Cozy, with nice service but a bit cold. We ordered breakfast, Eggs Benedict and the Avocado Nest. The taste was ok, but a bit small. In addition, the avocado in the peel (not peeled) was a bit awkward to eat ;)

Ich liebe es immer wieder in der Wilma zu sein! Aber wir sahsen diesmal etwas abseits, nahe der Küche, und ich bevorzuge es im Hauptraum an den Fenstern zu sitzen. Obwohl der Tisch für uns eigentlich perfekt war. Das Essen war wie immer super! Service war auch gut, aber auch da war man in der Ecke etwas abseits. Man kann nicht mal fix jemanden herbeiwinken...

Very nice location, service attentive and fast, relatively loud. Food and drinks okay, rather higher priced. IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances just sit at a table (even if there is a lot of space available and no one is at the "reception") - you insist that seats be assigned. There are no "reservation signs" on the tables.

We only drank one tea but it was very tasty. Service was very friendly and always arrived on time. Ambience also cozy, although a bit loud at times. It was a bit of a shame that we were sent to the rather uncomfortable chairs by the window, as the tables with the upholstered seats were supposedly reserved. When we left, not a single table had been occupied during our stay. Maybe there was a misunderstanding...

So we had our Christmas party 24' in this restaurant. The location is ideal as it can be reached relatively easily by public transport. However, I don't want to know how much the monthly rent is. No matter, the ambience ranges from artistic to postmodern. There is even a red carpet lining the staircase. Felt like a Hollywood star 😂 The drinks came quickly and were fine. Afterwards, various dishes were ordered à la carte. They were prepared quickly and were at the table quickly. You can't complain about the quality, the chefs know their craft. As a Christmas campaign there was an Advent calendar where you got vouchers for drinks. Unfortunately, a colleague was spoiled by the iced tea drinks that were a little too full. The waiter noticed this and quickly handed over several napkins. One point of criticism is the cold water in the toilets and personally I would prefer paper towels to a warm air dryer. But this, like the entire report, is subjective.

Buchung über OpenTable top. Der Empfang & die Umsetzung ausbaufähig. Bedienung war klasse!!! Getränke super, der Nachtisch ebenso & der Hauptgang war gut. Der Eierlikör ist der Hammer & wir nehmen immer gern ne Kanne mit 😂😂😂 Wir kommen gern wieder. Viele Grüße aus der Messestadt LE Patricia & Michael

Food is 4 at most but the service of the waiter pretending to make beep sounds with my kids and the fact that this was the only place during the Christmas market which did not have 20-90mim waiting time and it’s a 5 star in my book

Paid 125 euros for the four of us and we men were still hungry. (Afterwards we had to eat a kebab 🙈🙈) Had dinner! Caesars salad is like an appetizer for 16.50 euros including chicken (4 slices). Lettuce covered the bottom..it was like a side salad...😞 Schnitzel with fries... Schnitzel mega, fries were about 15 pieces 😂😂... Slip noodle pan... The bottom was just covered and tasteful, but far too little. If you save on the main ingredients, at least the filling side dish should be enough. Etc. Espresso 3.50 euros 😳 Unfortunately, I can't and won't be able to afford another visit to eat there. Very unfortunate We still gave a 15% tip for the great service 8 months ago: It's a true miracle that something like this still exists. The service is sensational! Professional male service worker! Then food/breakfast very good quality. Coffee has a harmonious taste. Price performance for gastronomy and absolutely fair for the location. Portions sufficient. Absolutely recommended. It was worth the 20% tip for us!

Tischreservierung für 3 Personen gemacht, als Anlass 80. Geburtstag angegeben. Wir haben einen winzigen Tisch in der Mitte des Raumens bekommen, uns hat der zuständige noch gefragt ob wir nur zum Cafe trinken gekommen sind. Als ob man dafür ein Tisch reserviert hätte. Bodenlose Frechheit. Preise ebenso unverschämt. Sind dann zum Hans im Glück gegangen.

Wenn wir in Dresden sind gehört der Besuch im Wilma immer dazu. Leckeres Essen in einem schönen Ambiente. Personal immer freundlich. Es ist immer mega lecker. Es gibt auch immer zu bestimmten Anlässen wie jetzt zur Weihnachtszeit eine extra Karte mit leckeren Speisen. Ist sehr zu empfehlen
