I had the baked cauliflower, but it was just one floret, along with four rather large boiled potatoes. The meal was tasty. However, the main dish should have been more substantial, at least not a quarter of the amount of the side dish. The cucumber salad was very tasty. The lemonade was delicious. The dessert was also very good. We had French toast. There was a really generous portion on the plate; you absolutely can't complain about that. The benches caused my feet to go numb and cramp. The benches are tilted slightly upwards at the front, which caused me problems. I don't usually do that, but I had to put my leg up on the seat next to me. Another person at the table also had a severe leg cramp. Of course, no one can control these side effects, but I wanted to mention it. It was somehow very noisy, although we couldn't figure out why. We could clearly hear snippets of the conversation at the next table.

Simply fantastic! Both the sausage goulash with noodles and the Jägerschnitzel were incredibly delicious and perfectly prepared. Add to that a freshly tapped Plane Pilsner – highly recommended! The Planwirtschaft restaurant in Dresden impresses with great food, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly service.

The food there is fantastic, mostly East German dishes. A must-try when in Dresden.

The price-performance ratio isn't quite right anymore. Penne with sausage and tomato sauce for 15 euros is quite a lot. Nevertheless, the old-world charm makes it worth a visit.

A very quaint, cozy restaurant. We were in the "cellar" with a larger group. The drinks and food arrived incredibly quickly. The menu is based on classic East German dishes: Solyanka, Würzfleisch (a type of stew), Wurstgulasch (sausage goulash), and Steak o Four (which turned out to be Schnitzel o Four). I had that one too. It was delicious, the fries were excellent, the meat was very tender, the chicken ragout was well-seasoned, and the cheese was already crisply melted. No East German housewife could have done it better. What I saw the others eating was also very good. All in all, well worth a visit.

Intriguing: The nostalgia trip begins with the menu. On your plate land genuine East German classics, mostly delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately, the mustard eggs were served in a sparse version – very little mustard sauce! Basically, if only for the fond memories of bygone days, you should definitely stop by!

They even brew their own beer, which is absolutely delicious. It's a shame you can't take it home in two-liter mugs. A great place that I'll definitely be back for more.

During our visit to Dresden, we wanted a good meal, and we found just the right place. Very friendly staff, excellent food, and excellent value for money. We can recommend it with a clear conscience.

A lovely, rustic restaurant. The food all seems freshly prepared and tastes excellent. We'd definitely be happy to come back. Oh, and the service was also very friendly and attentive.

We've eaten at the Planwirtschaft before and were always impressed. Unfortunately, on our last visit, the good dishes (tongue and dead grandma) were no longer on the menu. The taste was also somewhat off. The service staff also forgot a few dishes or brought them incorrectly. In the end, we also ended up charging for the wrong drinks. What a shame.

The price/performance ratio is very good. The beer garden is just a beer garden. I find it cozy. Someone else would say it's rustic. The furniture isn't comfortable for long periods of time, but it's certainly appropriate for the concept. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful.

Well, I went in with high expectations but came out very disappointed. The "Würzi" (spicy meat) looked great, but unfortunately, the only thing seasoned was the cheese. The spicy meat looked good, but the high meat content was unfortunately not seasoned at all. This was a real shame. For the main course, we had the Oberlausitzer Feuerfleisch (fire meat). It had an unhealthy spiciness; I often eat spicy food, even on vacation, but this spiciness gave me "pleasure" for about 10 hours. The accompanying bread was too dense and unsuitable. Fresh white bread would have been more appropriate. The meat content was rather small, the few strips of meat were rather al dente. Instead, there were plenty of pickled gherkin pieces. The whole experience was rounded off with a very sticky table. Some say it had a patina, I say too little and the table wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Unfortunately, not an experience worth repeating!

We've been to the restaurant several times now. Since it reopened, we found it very appealing, both in terms of food and service. Our last two visits were unfortunately very disappointing. We were waiting outside the door when the chef loudly announced from inside, "You can't get in without a reservation!" When we finally got in, the waitress didn't even say "Hello." We were alone in the restaurant with two other guests. When we ordered our food, the waitress reminded us that we couldn't choose any other dip to go with our dishes; the chef doesn't like that at all. Then we waited an hour and a half for our food. No waiter came during that time, and we were left high and dry. When the food arrived, there was no apology, and when we asked for a new drink, the waitress acted annoyed. The fries were so hard you couldn't even pierce them with a fork. Unfortunately, we probably won't be coming back.

Good restaurant in the Neustadt with typical GDR dishes that have been modernized and are recommended.

For most people, this probably brings back old memories, except that the old GDR and childhood dishes actually taste better here than they did back then. We were there shortly after opening on a Friday and managed to get a table for two, but otherwise, a lot of people were reserved, so if you want to be on the safe side, you should make a reservation in advance. The service was consistently friendly and attentive; we felt very comfortable and full.

We visited the Planwirtschaft restaurant on June 13, 2025, with a group of 40 people. We found a seat in the beautiful and quiet beer garden. The beer garden wasn't quite as quiet during our arrival, but the staff handled it very well. Thank you very much and a huge respect for handling it so well! :-) The delicious local dishes like steak au four, fire-roasted meat, and hunter's schnitzel were delicious! We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant :-)

Despite the first day of the new menu, everything went perfectly – great food, friendly service. Cozy atmosphere, you immediately feel welcome. Vegetarians will definitely get their money's worth here – the selection is diverse. More than just cheese spaetzle: creative, fresh dishes, lovingly prepared. An all-round successful evening – highly recommended!

Charming pub, friendly service, beautiful courtyard, delicious lentil soup. It's busy, at least on Fridays, but probably all weekend long, too, so it's best to reserve a table in advance. Rating: A well-deserved restaurant for the people.

We wanted to eat the classics. We got ripped off for 17 euros for boiled pasta + a tiny piece of meat that wasn't great. I don't recommend it...

There were 15 of us with a reservation...the service was friendly, but the drinks were slow...the food was a complete disappointment...the entire asparagus menu was out of stock...and what came afterward was simply bad...no one was truly full, and the food wasn't particularly tasty...it's a shame, we were so looking forward to it. There won't be another visit.

I asked for water, I got nothing. My friend asked for Pepsi, he got a mezzomix. If I wanted a microwaved meal, I would have stayed home. Disappointing.

Very friendly service in a rustic setting that has its charm. In short, we felt at home. For starters, we had spiced meat and solyanka. Main courses were fire-roasted meat and steak au four. We can't judge whether it was authentic. We're from Rhineland-Palatinate. In any case, it was very tasty. A visit to the planned economy is definitely on our list for our next visit to Dresden.

The food tastes ok, but everything is too expensive for the portion size. For example, eggs in mustard sauce were 2 eggs, some potatoes and a bit of salad for €14.50. That's money, a reason not to come back!

Basically, I'm open to anything... but if 10 out of 11 people have the choice of "fries" or "fried potatoes," and customer 11 would like fries, this isn't possible due to increased demand. Additionally, you get booked in the basement, which is shocking... since there was space everywhere... I don't judge the food.

A beautiful, quiet restaurant with an outdoor terrace, all furnished in old-fashioned GDR style, may not be to everyone's taste, but it is still a beautiful place to spend a relaxing day or evening. Speaking of taste, the food is really tasty and one of the restaurants still serves homemade fresh old German dishes. The food and drinks menu is completely sufficient. The only criticism: Unfortunately I couldn't find cold dog (dessert) on the menu, which would have been the highlight. I really liked it and will definitely come back again.

Die Planwirtschaft in DD-Neustadt war für mich immer die erste Anlaufstelle bei einem Dresden Besuch. Vorwiegend aus einem Grund: hier gab es immer das beste Bier-Rechenberger! Leider hat man es nach dem Wechsel des Pächters aus dem Programm genommen. Nun gibt es u.a. Ein ganz gutes Dunkles und ein unterdurchschnittliches Pils. Rest sind die Standardbiere von Erdinger etc. Also gibt es für mich leider keinen Grund unbedingt in die Planwirtschaft zu gehen. Trotz wirklich sehr nettem Service.

Food was delicious. Unfortunately, the main course was only warm on the edges, apparently warmed up in the microwave. Upon request, the food was made hot….leckkkker. Unfortunately the dessert didn't come warm either... It's a shame...they could have been more careful since the main course wasn't really served warm.

I can’t say whether it really tastes the same as it “used to”. But I can say that I enjoyed it very much. The selection of food was good, there was also something for vegetarians. Delicious beer and good service round off the visit. Reservation is definitely an advantage, which was possible without any problems. Try it out!

Very friendly service, rustic atmosphere and delicious food. It was quite busy, so you should make a reservation at peak times. Unfortunately, the meal didn't come together for everyone in our group and it was quite loud. It was still very worth it and I would recommend the restaurant.

We had a table in the basement. Unfortunately the room was far too full (the waitress said the room was actually only designed for half the people) and therefore far too loud and the air was pretty bad. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. The food tasted good and the portions were very large. Since I prefer it to be quieter so that you can have a good conversation, I wouldn't choose this restaurant again.

On Women's Day we were 5 women who were hungry. Steak au Four, pork schnitzel, kohlrabi schnitzel, mustard schnitzel and hunter's schnitzel. Little tip less fries seasoning. It was extremely busy. We stayed in the basement. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food and the second drink.

A successful evening Yesterday the five of us went to the planned economy in Dresden and had a really nice evening. The ambience is cozy and the service was quick and correct. The highlight was definitely the steak au four – absolutely fantastic! By far the best I've eaten so far. But the other dishes were also very well received and everyone was completely satisfied. A great restaurant with friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. We'd love to come back!

A great restaurant that has old GDR classics on the menu. There's something for everyone! Even shortly after opening, it gets full quickly. I would recommend making a reservation (weekend). We were lucky with 4 people. It tasted great!

We came to the planned economy on a recommendation and were not disappointed. I had a steak au four for the first time and thought it was really brilliant. The taste and the side dishes are amazing. The menu says steak with fries, but the waitress asked if you wanted fried potatoes or fries, so I chose fried potatoes. The salad was definitely homemade, well dressed with small details (e.g. small beetroot pieces, fried (cold) zucchini) and a bit of cabbage (highlight!), very tasty. The fried potatoes were really plentiful and also tasted great. Onions with minimal bite, well seasoned. And with the steak au four, brilliant. Will definitely go here again and order the same thing again. Overall, very successful. Perhaps a small note (the restaurant was well filled and there was probably only one waitress) to clear the plates a little quicker. But it didn't bother us. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Anyone who likes (N)Ostalgie will definitely feel at home. The service is perfect and special requests are fulfilled. The menu reads like a canteen in GDR times. The portions are huge. In my opinion it should be a little more neat. Glass lampshades are easy to clean. All in all it was ok.

My wife and I were amazed by the authentic German cuisine - every dish was perfectly prepared and very tasteful. We were particularly impressed by the traditional menus. The ambience, on the other hand, could be a little more inviting, but was perhaps deliberately kept simple to underline the rustic charm. Overall: delicious food, we would love to come back!

We went here for dinner with our family in the post-Christmas period and were very impressed by the quick service as well as the delicious food and various beers! The selection of dishes from days gone by is great! Recommended: fire meat, schnitzel, but actually everything from the menu! We'd love to come back!

We have never eaten so badly... the seasoned meat for our daughter was full of bones and tasted as if she had scraped together all the leftovers, which we also showed the waitress, but she didn't care, the steak au four according to the menu Pork loin steak, was just a thin pork schnitzel with some seasoned meat and a lot of cheese with totally greasy, inedible fries... all 3 portions were almost completely gone... that's why only 1 star for the food, service was very nice.

Cute place, good and cozy atmosphere and would recommend for drinks, they have a large drinks menu. Friendly and prompt service. Food is in my opinion average to subpar. The portion is more than adequate. Perhaps it's just the eastern German kitchen is something I'm not used to. The Bauernfrühstück(farmers breakfast) is a large omelette with pickled beans and a salad. I did not find any part of it palatable. The vegetarian schnitzel with fries was ok tho.

Nice experience! The menu had multiple plates which sounded interesting and a bit unique compared to the usual german places. The service was really nice, they were very friendly and attentive. In the basement, the atmosphere was unique and a bit weird, for a table of 2 it felt a bit crowded, but we made a reservation only the day before. I totally recommend booking in advance, especially in busy seasons such as Christmas time. Generally it was a good dinner.

Food was good but not earth-shattering. Unfortunately, the entrance area smells totally like the toilets, which doesn't make a good impression when you enter the store.
