Excellent, simple, home-style food. Absolutely delicious and incredibly affordable. They also served good Dresden beer and tasty draft soda. The service was very friendly, attentive, and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Despite just a few tables being occupied, the waiter, a short-haired lady, told me that everything was reserved. I asked her why we could not sit, and if all the tables were free, she said that people would be coming in one or two hours. I told her that one hour of beer would be enough for us, and we came just for beer. She said OK and gave us a small table at the entrance. When I asked her to give us another table for one hour, she said no and was really rude. I don’t recommend this place if you don’t want to lose the pretty atmosphere of Magical Dresden. Unfortunately, people can do this

Nice restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food

The food was delicious, the service very friendly, and the atmosphere very cozy. We are originally from Leipzig but have lived in Baden-Württemberg for 45 years and always enjoy visiting Saxony. Family Geißler

Although the restaurant was almost full, we were given a reserved table and plenty of time to eat. The service was incredibly friendly, quick, and yet still communicative. The food was simply superb!

We were blown away. Quaint, clean, and cozy decor. Friendly staff and excellent food. The pike-perch was simply delicious, and the accompanying vegetables were superb—perfectly crisp and delicious. The sauerbraten was divine. I've eaten a lot of sauerbraten, and I love it, but I've never had it this good before. A huge compliment to the kitchen—you're doing a fantastic job! :) It was a true culinary delight—thank you! Our server was also very attentive, and we felt completely at ease. We'd love to come back and are already looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful evening at the Dampfschiff beer hall. The exceptionally efficient service deserves special mention; never intrusive, always attentive, and absolutely considerate. I haven't experienced such excellent service in a long time! Such staff should definitely be well-maintained! The food was beautifully presented, and the taste was absolutely delicious! It's very centrally located between the Frauenkirche and the Elbe River. It wasn't crowded at lunchtime. The food was tasty and very plentiful. The prices are quite reasonable.

Unfortunately, I had bad luck with the goulash. It was lukewarm and tough. The red cabbage was bitter; I think it had been sitting out for a while before it was served. I dared to send my dish back, and the waitress reacted irritably. I chose a different dish. In short, we were both disappointed, as the food upset our stomachs.

The service and atmosphere were very nice. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food consisted of convenience products. It was still tasty, though. We'll come again.

Excellent food, friendly and efficient service

A lovely restaurant with good, traditional German cuisine that's very tasty. The portions were ample, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a pleasant and cozy atmosphere; unfortunately, the chairs aren't suitable for sitting for extended periods, while the benches, due to their padding, are more comfortable. It's also a shame that adults can't satisfy their small hunger with a child's portion. There are no high chairs available for toddlers (or perhaps they simply weren't offered to us), and unfortunately, no facilities for changing diapers. I can only give it 4 out of 5 stars because one would expect at least a high chair. Nevertheless, it's recommendable and worth a visit.

Although it was very busy on Saturday evening, we got a table. The selection of typical dishes and drinks was really good, and the food was absolutely delicious. Especially the sauerbraten. The service was excellent and very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended.

Great seasonal local beers, delicious, super-savory dishes, and, above all, the extremely enthusiastic and friendly staff made us feel very, very comfortable here... We'd love to come back.

A full 5 stars from us. Everything was perfect. Wonderful; we'd been to two restaurants before discovering this one. We're really happy. They serve hearty food at a normal price. I laughed when my plate arrived. A giant knuckle of pork with sauerkraut and dumplings. The gravy was also great. Thank you, we'll be back. Insider tip.

Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant. We had meatloaf with a fried egg and fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were a disaster, completely drenched in oil. When I complained, the plate was taken away and the fried potatoes were brought back, dripping with oil. The price for the meatloaf with fried egg was far too high. We will never visit this restaurant again.

Extremely unfriendly service. I can't recommend it to anyone. They weren't nice to us, and we had to wait a long time for the bill. The waiter, Paul, didn't want individual bills (there were three of us) because it would take too long. I then paid with cash, and the change was thrown on the counter. In my opinion, the unfriendly restaurant near the Frauenkirche.

Unfriendly service, we weren't even allowed to pay separately. They told us to pay together! On a positive note, the restrooms are incredibly clean.

We were on vacation in Dresden and found this restaurant in the old town. It absolutely deserves 5 stars. We sat down, ordered, and enjoyed it. We went back the next day to eat again, and every request was fulfilled. Even for those who don't like dumplings or similar, we were able to order potatoes with no problem, and at no extra charge. Even though it got a little chilly in the evening, blankets and heaters were immediately provided.

Very tasty, fresh, and served quickly. We were there for lunch with 28 seniors from our association instead of 40, and we were served quickly and professionally. This meant we were able to easily make it to our next appointment in just under an hour.

The waitress was completely unacceptable. After a two-hour wait, we (about 15 of us) were asked to leave. ☝🏻 The reason was the noise (stag night) Between 2 and 4 p.m. Apparently, it didn't bother anyone, but it did bother the steam ship, which is sad and very true...
