The schnitzel was super tasty. And arrived super quickly too. Only the service could have been a little friendlier.

We went to the Dampfschiff for lunch because of the many great reviews. When we entered the inn at lunchtime, only a few tables were occupied. As soon as we entered the door we immediately noticed a waitress screaming at an older couple. The older couple wanted to order their food in completely calm, sensible English suitable for elementary school and pointed to the dish on the menu. The unfriendly waitress literally shouted at her and said she couldn't understand it. We decided to go and translate for the couple in German. The food was average. Not bad, but not great either. We were shocked by the waitress' manner. There wasn't much going on, you could have gotten a colleague to translate or just gestured in a calm tone... Yelling is completely out of place and disrespectful. We were politely asked by the older gentlemen to sit with them. We had a lovely afternoon with great conversations with previously strangers. They continued to behave in such a friendly manner towards the waitress throughout the entire visit to the restaurant, who did not express anything like a friendly demeanor other than a thank you to us.

Delicious food at acceptable prices. Nice ambience and nice service. A must for everyone who visits Dresden.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. In contrast to the other restaurants on this busy street, the Steamboat was almost empty when we entered. The food came quickly. That actually ends the review. The food was carelessly prepared, it tasted like ready-made sauce and flavor enhancers. The chicken breast was fried to the point of dissolution. But the beer was warm... Dresden gladly again, steamboat not.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Schiff Dampf Restaurant! The maritime-themed interior is unique and creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the hearty Schwarzbiergulasch and Bierhaus-Boulette, paired perfectly with a local beer. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome from start to finish.

There is a German restaurant near the Brühl Terrace. There are indoor and outdoor seats. The indoor seats have to go down the stairs. Those who are afraid of the cold can go inside because it is quite warm. The potato soup is really "horsey", very thick and delicious, and there are a few diced German sausages on top. The stewed beef with dark beer is slightly spicy, and the kale tastes sour and salty. It’s very refreshing at first, but later on it may be too greasy and full, so I feel a little weak and almost can’t finish it XD The tea is very fragrant! You can try it

We spontaneously wanted to look for a restaurant where we could have a cozy dinner and chose this one. It was definitely the right decision because the service was fast, friendly and attentive. The ambience was appealing and cozy so that there was an immediate feel-good atmosphere. The drinks came relatively quickly and the food we ordered also came quickly without us having to wait too long. We decided on the Cordon Bleu with fries and the schnitzel with fried potatoes and fried eggs. Both dishes came with a very tasty salad as a side dish that was incredibly tasty and fresh. The meat was also delicious, juicy and to the point. It was also attractively presented and a bit garnished. The food definitely impressed us and we would love to come here again. However, it is advisable to make reservations when the city is busy with tourists, as it can get quite crowded. Definitely a recommendation!

Went there spontaneously on Friday evening without a reservation. We were offered a small table in the entrance area. The menu was handed out and the drinks order was taken quickly. The waitresses were on their toes and even recommended a beer or two. Drinks were quickly at the table and the first beer recommendation was a hit, very tasty and drinkable. I always wanted to try spiced meat and ordered it in combination with steak au four. I really liked it and would order it that way again. The tables in our viewing area were all occupied at all times. In the back area, however, 10 tables were unoccupied or had a “Reserved” sign on them. At first I thought that maybe another company had made a reservation. Towards the end of our visit the tables were still unoccupied and I think it was simply an adjustment of capacity to suit the service staff, who are very hard-working and friendly.

I went to dinner with a larger group. We had reservations for 6:30 p.m. We were there at around 6:20 p.m. and were greeted very unfriendly, asking why we were only coming now. The book would probably have said 6:00 p.m. Well, whatever... that's how the evening went. The waiter continued to be unfriendly even though the restaurant was only 20% full. The food was good and tasted good. Just good bourgeois. Conclusion: We saw it once, but there won't be another visit. Too bad.

If it were possible there would be 100 stars. The food was really damn tasty, I haven't eaten something so tasty in a long time. Our recommendation: Dresden Sauerbraten and Half Duck Top Top Top

Unfortunately we couldn't try the food because we were told by an unfriendly waitress that everything was reserved. It was 4 p.m. and the table we saw was reserved for 6:30 p.m. With 4 occupied tables it's strange not to be able to do this technically. It's a shame that you are treated like that. The starter soups are good. The food (schnitzel, steak and vegetables) was unfortunately not fresh but, in my opinion, frozen. Unfortunately I'm disappointed with the main course.

We spontaneously decided to stop here, the very nice staff still assigned us a table, despite the mega activity...Thank you very much for that!!! Went there for dinner on Christmas Eve. Good traditional cuisine. Delicious desserts. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and fast service of the staff. That gave the fifth ☆!

We were just there. Super friendly, great food. I was very hungry and ordered two meat patties (meat patties). Excellent, eat hot, masher (mashed potatoes) properly with masher. Awesome👍👍. A goulash, delicate with red cabbage...a poem. Gladly again, I can only recommend it. Something local and not sushi, tapas, burgers...etc.

Food and beers were very tasty. We tried sausages and some craft beers from Dresden. But I have to mention one member of the staff who sent us away when we came with "we are fully booked" sentence even though we saw empty tables. I couldn't handle it so i came back after 3 min and were seated without a problem by another member of the staff. After we were seated we saw how "the one" sent away another 15 people in total but other one got seated 10 people. I cannot understand why is this happening - tables were empty, some of them without reservation.. isnt the restaurant loosing by this behavior??

Open on Christmas day. Nice atmosphere, good service. Great for a sit down on a cold winter night. But I found the food to be lackluster. The starter sour tomato soup was not to my taste. The meat patty thing (Fleischkäse) was bordering on bitter. The veggies were whatever. I did like the mashed potatoes and the sauce. The Leberkäse was alright tho.

They say the staff is unfriendly, but I don't understand. It says outside that they don't accept cards. The food was so delicious compared to my expectations. Leberkäse was the best I've had in Germany and Sauerbraten was also more delicious than I expected.

Five stars are given just because you get a great solyanka here.

We came here spontaneously yesterday and managed to get a spot. It's Christmas time and I take my hat off to the staff for how friendly they were despite all hell breaking loose. The service was very attentive and friendly, we were regularly asked whether we wanted something more to drink and whether everything was okay. The deductions when eating come from the fish, unfortunately the zander was rather a disappointment, three small pieces and very, very fatty. However, the sausage and the meatballs tasted good.

Mi esposa y yo decidimos cenar en este restaurante alemán ya que estábamos alojados en el Hilton Dresden Hotel adyacente. A diferencia de muchos otros restaurantes en Dresde, el servicio era EXTREMADAMENTE POBRE y el personal EXTRAORDINARIAMENTE GROSERO. Los servidores ladraron a muchos de los clientes a nuestro lado como si estuvieran MOLESTADOS de tenernos a todos allí. La comida era generalmente POBRE y decepcionante. Cuando le señalamos cortésmente al camarero EXTREMADAMENTE GROSERO que le había traído a mi esposa la COMIDA EQUIVOCADA, nos miró como si estuviéramos LOCOS y dijo: "Bueno, no puedes comerlo de todos modos. " SI es posible, EVITE este restaurante decepcionante a menos que desee regresar a su hotel con DOLOR DE CABEZA y ESTÓMAGO. Hay tantas otras GRANDES OPCIONES en DRESDE - le sugerimos que se hagan un favor y EVITAR este DESASTRE!

We came here with a tour group so the menu was set (preselected). The food was forgettable and the server was incredibly rude & arrogant. He acted as if I personally offended him when I asked for a regular Coke Zero instead of the bizarre half Diet Coke/half orange soda he inexplicably gave me (which I never asked for!). Needless to say, AVOID this restaurant if you are in a group tour! Go to a regular German restaurant here in Dresden and skip this place! You are much better off going to any other restaurant here in Dresden! You have been warned!

Very nice and quick reception and table allocation, although very busy. Very round menu, so that almost every preference is catered for. Only low lactose is difficult. Drinks and food were served well and tasted good. Reasonable price-performance ratio. Gladly again.

Visited here today. Ambience suitable and consistent with the name, clean and inviting restaurant, friendly staff still had to wait a long time, lots of space in the dining room, good selection of different dishes. Had knuckle, unfortunately the meat was very tough, but the skin was crispy and the goose was also better. But a matter of taste. Still a recommendation.

We went here for dinner today as a family with our dog. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. The dog was immediately given a water bowl. We had the duck with red cabbage, the black beer goulash and the game goulash as well as the cheese spaetzle. The meat was very tender and everything was super tasty. We'll definitely come back.

Very disappointing visit! Although several tables were available, my son and I were seated in an uncomfortable spot by the door where it was cold and drafty. When I asked for another table they claimed everything was reserved. Shortly afterwards, two guests were shown to a significantly better table WITHOUT a reservation. When I brought this up, I was treated rudely and asked to leave. This is no way to treat guests! We then went to eat opposite the Powder Tower. Super nice service and delicious food! I think it's a real shame because we used to love eating here.

Even after complaining twice, the chef was unable to cook a meatball properly. Instead there was a bratwurst... You're sitting in a cellar.

I'm not so wired that I immediately acknowledge every "mistake" or mishap with a bad rating. But if there's something that bothers me, it's when you don't follow your own rules. According to the door sign, the restaurant is open until 10 p.m. and the kitchen is open until 8:30 p.m. I was in the restaurant at 8:03 p.m. - and wasn't allowed to eat anything, "Chef has decided that we should do that now". The surrounding bars were packed, so it wasn't because Dresden was empty. Maybe he wanted to go to football... But - after having had a decent meal here twice - I decided on this place after a long tour looking for other restaurants. And then the boss doesn't feel like it...

Uriges Restaurant in der Nähe von Elbe Ufer mit nette Atmosphäre. Tolle Ambiente, liebe Bedienung und sehr schmackhaftes Essen. Die Speisen kommen sehr schnell auf den Tisch und sind zum Genießen bereit. Ich hatte Dresdner Sauerbraten und muss behaupten, hier sind die besten Knödel was ich gegessen habe!!!

Quaint restaurant near the banks of the Elbe with a nice atmosphere. Great ambience, lovely service and very tasty food. The food comes to the table very quickly and is ready to be enjoyed. I had Dresden Sauerbraten and I have to say that these are the best dumplings I have eaten!!!

The food was good! Kudos to the kitchen! But I wouldn't visit the restaurant again. We entered the restaurant just after 8:00 p.m. When we were seated at the table, we were immediately informed that the kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. We hurriedly chose our food. Shortly before 8:30 p.m. the food was served to us at the table. The food was good and tasty, but I thought the fish portions were a bit small. The first lights in the restaurant were switched off shortly after 8:30 p.m. Shortly before 8:45 p.m. we were sitting more or less in the dark. We left the restaurant at 9 p.m. The restaurant is part of the Hilton Hotel. So, I would have expected more customer service from such a large hotel chain. The restaurant is generally open until 10 p.m.! So why the rush and haste? We ate well. We didn't have a nice evening.

Cozy restaurant in the style of a steamboat, at fair prices. Reservation was easy, service was on point and very friendly. A children's menu would be great.

We ended up on the steamboat quite by chance during a short visit and were more than happy with this decision afterwards. Black beer goulash and the sauerbraten were great. For dessert we had the Quarkkäulchen, a good choice that was freshly made.

We were here at the restaurant on a rainy afternoon. The interior decor is very special and beautiful. Unfortunately the service cannot keep up here. There was hardly any friendliness, no one was accommodating and when we expressed criticism after paying, we could see people whispering and laughing behind the counter...perhaps you should ask yourself whether that's why the restaurant wasn't exactly well attended. I can't judge food. Had a cappuccino and I've had much better ones. Service, as I said, inattentive. There were hardly any people there and yet no one came to ask if we still had any requests or if we wanted to pay. And you probably shouldn't advertise SkySport outside if you don't have anything to show for it. Were not the only ones who were disappointed here.

I went because I wanted to try German food and I had a very good first impression when I saw that there were few tourists and more local diners. Our waitress took great care of us and the entire service was very fast. Recommended to try sausages and the mashed potatoes were very delicious.

I was in Dresden after many years and happened to be in a restaurant. Cozy, rustic atmosphere with an outdoor area. Very friendly staff, fast service. Very good home cooking. Tastes like home. Dresden is worth a visit just to visit this restaurant.

Visually it's a great restaurant in a good location. The food really wasn't good for both of us. There was way too much chicken in my seasoned meat, which made the dish completely dry. The side salad for the second dish was lettuce leaves, which no longer looked fresh, but were decorated with a lot of dressing. The waitress didn't even ask if something was wrong after she cleared away two half-full portions.

We ate here for the first time as holidaymakers today. Our schnitzel/cordon bleu were very tasty, the side salad was fresh, colorfully mixed and with a delicious homemade dressing. Price-performance was perfectly fine. What we particularly liked was the fast, friendly and very motivated service staff with a full house. All in all, we would eat here again at any time.

Really good! Cool and refreshing tavern style inside. Waitress was super nice and helpful with recommendations etc. Serving drinks and food was also really quick (despite the restaurant being almost completely booked) and great. Food is simply WOW and absolutely recommended if you like rustic tavern cuisine. From schnitzel to vegetarian cuisine, everything is there and is super delicious. I can only recommend it BUT make sure you reserve a table otherwise you probably won't get a seat.

Food 1a. Spaetzle, mushrooms, chicken and broccoli on point. That's how it has to be. The university beer that was offered to me was also very tasty. Absolutely within the price range. Service also impeccable. At first we had concerns because there was nothing going on inside and it was full across the street. However, luckily we went here. Definitely recommended.

Actually 0 stars, the supposed deputy boss was arrogant and cheeky. I have never experienced anything like it. The restaurant closes at 10 p.m. and you can't get anything at 9:15 p.m. You wouldn't believe that the restaurant belongs to the Hilton. A very bad figurehead. Dresden can't score points with that. It's just a good thing there are other places. Something like that should be abolished.

We had a drink outside on Friday evening. At 9:15 p.m. the friendly but somewhat awkward waitress pointed out to us that the store closed at 10 p.m. and that the last round of orders was coming up - whether we still wanted schnapps. No, but I'd like another beer. There would be no more beer because some guests couldn't finish drinking by 10 p.m. We sent them along with the order. Shortly afterwards the deputy appeared. Restaurant manager and wanted to discipline us from above. We didn't get anything more and then left - probably for the last time. We don't need that!!

We were there last week in a larger group. An older waitress was completely unfriendly and yet we decided to eat something at several tables. The younger people who served us were very nice. The food was not tasty and was heavy on all of our stomachs. Fried potatoes in the old fat are not fried, etc.

Quaint, cozy restaurant with a large selection of beer. There is German cuisine, good local, Saxon dishes, soups, starters, classics and good desserts. On the first page of the menu you will find a large selection of local beers. Of course there are also various other drinks. The service was good, the staff friendly, attentive and there were no long waiting times except when paying. There is a large rustic dining room in the basement and there are a few places in the alley around the building to sit outside. I opted for a classic Thuringian bratwurst with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. The food came quickly, it was a large portion and appetizingly prepared. There was no gravy on the menu but it was very tasty and went well with the dish. The mustard was delivered later. The mashed potatoes were good, the bratwurst and cabbage were great. The prices are completely ok for a restaurant in the area. All in all the food was good, prices ok, service friendly. 4 stars. There is still room for improvement when it comes to food and service.

We were there for lunch today. Let's start with the waitress who was totally annoyed and always gave us an annoyed look. He also made stupid comments. For dinner we had spiced meat and cheese spaetzle. The plates came on another plate with a napkin in between, we wanted to swap the plates back and forth to try them, but the napkin stuck to the plate and then we saw the plate from below... The food from the last one was still hanging on it, which was awesome disgusting! That doesn't work at all!

Delicious Hamburger Schnitzel. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy your food and beer. We had nothing to complain about.
