It's very centrally located between the Frauenkirche and the Elbe River. It wasn't crowded at lunchtime. The food was tasty and very plentiful. The prices are quite reasonable.

Unfortunately, I had bad luck with the goulash. It was lukewarm and tough. The red cabbage was bitter; I think it had been sitting out for a while before it was served. I dared to send my dish back, and the waitress reacted irritably. I chose a different dish. In short, we were both disappointed, as the food upset our stomachs.

The service and atmosphere were very nice. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food consisted of convenience products. It was still tasty, though. We'll come again.

A lovely restaurant with good, traditional German cuisine that's very tasty. The portions were ample, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a pleasant and cozy atmosphere; unfortunately, the chairs aren't suitable for sitting for extended periods, while the benches, due to their padding, are more comfortable. It's also a shame that adults can't satisfy their small hunger with a child's portion. There are no high chairs available for toddlers (or perhaps they simply weren't offered to us), and unfortunately, no facilities for changing diapers. I can only give it 4 out of 5 stars because one would expect at least a high chair. Nevertheless, it's recommendable and worth a visit.

Although it was very busy on Saturday evening, we got a table. The selection of typical dishes and drinks was really good, and the food was absolutely delicious. Especially the sauerbraten. The service was excellent and very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended.

We strolled through this beautiful tavern lane and were drawn in by the ambiance and the typically delicious home-style cooking. Great seasonal local beers, delicious, super-savory dishes, and, above all, the extremely enthusiastic and friendly staff made us feel very, very comfortable here... We'd love to come back.

The food selection is really good and varied. The staff is really quick, friendly, and competent. They were very helpful in pointing out the posters with dishes that aren't on the menu.

A full 5 stars from us. Everything was perfect. Wonderful; we'd been to two restaurants before discovering this one. We're really happy. They serve hearty food at a normal price. I laughed when my plate arrived. A giant knuckle of pork with sauerkraut and dumplings. The gravy was also great. Thank you, we'll be back. Insider tip.

We just had half a duck with red cabbage and dumplings and dark beer goulash. Top quality, reasonable price. Service was also top-notch. We highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant. We had meatloaf with a fried egg and fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were a disaster, completely drenched in oil. When I complained, the plate was taken away and the fried potatoes were brought back, dripping with oil. The price for the meatloaf with fried egg was far too high. We will never visit this restaurant again.

Unfriendly service, we weren't even allowed to pay separately. They told us to pay together! On a positive note, the restrooms are incredibly clean.

Extremely unfriendly service. I can't recommend it to anyone. They weren't nice to us, and we had to wait a long time for the bill. The waiter, Paul, didn't want individual bills (there were three of us) because it would take too long. I then paid with cash, and the change was thrown on the counter. After being lucky enough to get a table on the terrace at short notice, we enjoyed a delicious meal here! The waitress was truly fantastic! Super-responsive and friendly to boot. We had a perfect family dinner with beers after a long trip

Very tasty, fresh, and served quickly. We were there for lunch with 28 seniors from our association instead of 40, and we were served quickly and professionally. This meant we were able to easily make it to our next appointment in just under an hour.

We were on vacation in Dresden and found this restaurant in the old town. It absolutely deserves 5 stars. We sat down, ordered, and enjoyed it. We went back the next day to eat again, and every request was fulfilled. Even for those who don't like dumplings or similar, we were able to order potatoes with no problem, and at no extra charge. Even though it got a little chilly in the evening, blankets and heaters were immediately provided.

The waitress was completely unacceptable. After a two-hour wait, we (about 15 of us) were asked to leave. ☝🏻 The reason was the noise (stag night) Between 2 and 4 p.m. Apparently, it didn't bother anyone, but it did bother the steam ship, which is sad and very true...

Very rude staff, don’t recommend to visit

Fantastic servers, a great location, and the food was amazing 😍 We were able to make changes without any extra charge, which is rare. The meat comes from the in-house butcher shop—you can taste it, it's truly delicious. And above all, it was served really quickly, despite the restaurant being busy. We'd love to come back on our next visit to Dresden ❤️ keep up the good work 🙂

Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food: schnitzel with fried potatoes was delicious, and the hot chicken schnitzel with spaetzle was a dream. We didn't have a reservation, but we still got a seat and everything was served without much of a wait.

Great restaurant. We stopped here because we were rudely asked to leave at the Kutscherschänke. The food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly. It's nice to see that there are still staff who enjoy their jobs. That's becoming a rarity.

Last year, we enjoyed a very good meal. Unfortunately, this has changed dramatically. The service wasn't particularly friendly and only partially accommodated customer requests. The food was served in normal portions, but unfortunately, it wasn't particularly warm and the flavor was lacking. Accordingly, the price isn't appropriate for the food we received.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is truly delicious. You can even taste that the mashed potatoes (for example) are homemade. The portions are generous. The staff is very friendly and attentive, always asking if everything is okay. There are no long waits. Unfortunately, I was only visiting Dresden, but if I lived here, this would be my regular restaurant and my regular dish: Thuringian bratwurst with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut with gravy.

Absolutely. Delicious food, individual requests were accommodated, and the service was very friendly.

In my opinion, the food isn't particularly recommendable. We had Hamburger Schnitzel with fried potatoes and Jägerschnitzel with noodles. The fried potatoes were quite greasy, and my Jägerschnitzel had a pungent garlicky taste. The service was okay. I can't say much about the ambiance, as we weren't allowed to sit inside (even though it was quite windy outside and it looked like rain). All in all, we certainly won't be going there again.
