We ate there today and were more than satisfied. The waiter was very attentive, funny and accommodating. The food was also really delicious.

The day before yesterday we came back to Pillnitz from an Elbe steamer trip and stopped here at the steamboat beer house. We were very satisfied with the great and delicious local cuisine. The price/performance level was completely fine. The staff very accommodating and friendly. We would love to come back and can highly recommend this restaurant 😊👍👍👍

I was in Dresden after many years and happened to be in a restaurant. Cozy, rustic atmosphere with an outdoor area. Very friendly staff, fast service. Very good home cooking. Tastes like home. Dresden is worth a visit just to visit this restaurant.

Visually it's a great restaurant in a good location. The food really wasn't good for both of us. There was way too much chicken in my seasoned meat, which made the dish completely dry. The side salad for the second dish was lettuce leaves, which no longer looked fresh, but were decorated with a lot of dressing. The waitress didn't even ask if something was wrong after she cleared away two half-full portions.

We ate here for the first time as holidaymakers today. Our schnitzel/cordon bleu were very tasty, the side salad was fresh, colorfully mixed and with a delicious homemade dressing. Price-performance was perfectly fine. What we particularly liked was the fast, friendly and very motivated service staff with a full house. All in all, we would eat here again at any time.

Really good! Cool and refreshing tavern style inside. Waitress was super nice and helpful with recommendations etc. Serving drinks and food was also really quick (despite the restaurant being almost completely booked) and great. Food is simply WOW and absolutely recommended if you like rustic tavern cuisine. From schnitzel to vegetarian cuisine, everything is there and is super delicious. I can only recommend it BUT make sure you reserve a table otherwise you probably won't get a seat.

Food 1a. Spaetzle, mushrooms, chicken and broccoli on point. That's how it has to be. The university beer that was offered to me was also very tasty. Absolutely within the price range. Service also impeccable. At first we had concerns because there was nothing going on inside and it was full across the street. However, luckily we went here. Definitely recommended.

We had lunch here on a sunny Saturday. We had space outside in front of the restaurant. The food was very good. The staff is friendly and courteous.

We had a drink outside on Friday evening. At 9:15 p.m. the friendly but somewhat awkward waitress pointed out to us that the store closed at 10 p.m. and that the last round of orders was coming up - whether we still wanted schnapps. No, but I'd like another beer. There would be no more beer because some guests couldn't finish drinking by 10 p.m. We sent them along with the order. Shortly afterwards the deputy appeared. Restaurant manager and wanted to discipline us from above. We didn't get anything more and then left - probably for the last time. We don't need that!!

Actually 0 stars, the supposed deputy boss was arrogant and cheeky. I have never experienced anything like it. The restaurant closes at 10 p.m. and you can't get anything at 9:15 p.m. You wouldn't believe that the restaurant belongs to the Hilton. A very bad figurehead. Dresden can't score points with that. It's just a good thing there are other places. Something like that should be abolished.

Extremely salty steak dish. The salad was served without the accompanying egg. The “university” beer was very tasty.

We were there last week in a larger group. An older waitress was completely unfriendly and yet we decided to eat something at several tables. The younger people who served us were very nice. The food was not tasty and was heavy on all of our stomachs. Fried potatoes in the old fat are not fried, etc.

Quaint, cozy restaurant with a large selection of beer. There is German cuisine, good local, Saxon dishes, soups, starters, classics and good desserts. On the first page of the menu you will find a large selection of local beers. Of course there are also various other drinks. The service was good, the staff friendly, attentive and there were no long waiting times except when paying. There is a large rustic dining room in the basement and there are a few places in the alley around the building to sit outside. I opted for a classic Thuringian bratwurst with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. The food came quickly, it was a large portion and appetizingly prepared. There was no gravy on the menu but it was very tasty and went well with the dish. The mustard was delivered later. The mashed potatoes were good, the bratwurst and cabbage were great. The prices are completely ok for a restaurant in the area. All in all the food was good, prices ok, service friendly. 4 stars. There is still room for improvement when it comes to food and service.

We were there for lunch today. Let's start with the waitress who was totally annoyed and always gave us an annoyed look. He also made stupid comments. For dinner we had spiced meat and cheese spaetzle. The plates came on another plate with a napkin in between, we wanted to swap the plates back and forth to try them, but the napkin stuck to the plate and then we saw the plate from below... The food from the last one was still hanging on it, which was awesome disgusting! That doesn't work at all!

We had just been trying to get seats for dinner. When we asked about this the day before, we were told that there were already many reservations and that we should ask the next day. Said and done. We were rejected in such a condescending and arrogant manner that we decided not to visit the restaurant. We went to the Kutscherschänke opposite, definitely the better choice: super friendly, accommodating and solution-oriented!

Disastrous service, not because of the speed and presentation of dishes, but because of the attitude of the waitress, a middle-aged woman, who, I would like to think, did not serve us in that way because we were Spanish.... From the moment of taking the commandas was, to put it mildly, an edge. Although the food is really good and abundant, it is a shame that the customer service is detracted. It was precisely that attitude that made us not leave a single euro tip, which is what - it is understood - is given for good service from the waiters. Eating is good, it's true, but in the end it all adds up when you sit in a restaurant. In Dresden there are a thousand places where you are sure to eat the same and they serve it to you with a smile. Note: If you decide to go, check the mayonnaise bags they leave on the table. They are more than expired (be careful of the danger that this entails)

Despite a reservation, we didn't get a table... We were told: "We don't always look into the booking system" Very unfriendly and not solution-oriented.

We made a reservation through Quandoo and had an extra hour to spare. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told there were no reservations. Very impolite. We received a confirmation by email. We were then told that this would be invalid and that the kitchen would be empty after 8 p.m. So impossible!! We also left a phone number when we made the reservation, so we could have at least let them know! Never again! Then you go next door to the Kutscherschänke, where you are welcome and the food and everything is top notch

We reserved a table online and got it confirmed. Even though we had a reservation, we were turned away from the restaurant because there was nothing available. Sorry, but an absolute no-go. If you offer and confirm reservations online, you should be able to rely on them.

You shouldn't come here at 9 p.m. because you only get 1 drink because it still needs to be cleaned. Luckily, there are enough other restaurants in Dresden.

Direkt in der Dresdner Altstadt in einem Untergeschoss gelegenes Restaurant, welches zum Hilton Hotel gehört. Am frühen Abend war noch ausreichend Platz vorhanden, und wir konnten uns einen Platz aussuchen. Bedienung war freundlich und auf Zack. Wir hatten das Schwarzbiergulasch vom Rind sowie die Gebratene Schweinshaxe. Das Gulasch erinnerte mich geschmacklich an Dosengulasch (die Geschmäcker sind halt verschieden) und hat mir daher nicht so zugesagt. Das Rotkraut war in Ordnung, und die gebratenen Semmelknödelscheiben fand ich richtig lecker. Die Schweinshaxe war gut, aber vielleicht schon einen Tick zu trocken. Die Schwarte war kross, und der Kartoffelkloß und das Sauerkraut lecker. Das regionale Bier Meissner Schwerter „St. Afra“ Schwarz“ hat mir richtig gut gescheckt (leider nur aus der Flasche), die angebotenen Fassbiere Radeberger und Köstritzer bekomme ich ja schließlich fast überall. Ambiente ist okay, aber man merkt eben doch das Unterschoss. Preise für die Lage fand ich in Ordnung.

A wonderful restaurant. Despite it being New Year's Eve, we spontaneously got a table. Very friendly and attentive waiter. Everyone will find something to their taste on the menu. We chose Cordon Bleu and Hamburger Schnitzel. The food tastes very good and is a fairly large portion and very nicely presented. For me a reasonable price-performance ratio, in contrast to the other surrounding restaurants. If I'm in Dresden again, I'll definitely stop and dine there again.

We were here on a Saturday evening and were lucky to get a spot (without a reservation). The service was very nice and attentive, the food was very good (with small drawbacks). The duck was crispy, the sauce was aromatic and the red cabbage was pretty much the best I've had in years. Unfortunately, the potato dumpling was somehow tasteless. The black beer goulash was also very tasty, and the fried bread dumplings were sensational. However, my wife would have liked a little more sauce. We found the prices okay. The atmosphere is quite “quaint”, we liked it.

Wir sind heute am 1. Januar 2024 nach einem Neujahrsspaziergang hier gelandet und haben gut gegessen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Es war ein angenehmes Speisen.

Bedienung sehr freundlich, auch Hunde sind dort Willkommen und bekommen einen Wassernapf. Zum Essen : Mein Sauerbraten mit Kloß und Rotkohl war leider nicht heiß, sondern Lauwarm. ( deshalb leider einen Stern Abzug ) Fleisch sehr zart, Soße sehr gute Konsistenz, aber leider zu wenig Säure. ( Im Rheinland ist mehr Pfiff dahinter) Rotkohl sowie Kloß waren geschmacklich gut. Die Schnitzel, sowie die Bratkartoffeln waren gut gemacht und geschmacklich Einwandfrei, das Gemüse war frisch und sehr gut. Insgesamt ein gutes Bierhaus wo man ohne Sorge Essen gehen kann.

War eigentlich nicht Unsere (gemischte Gruppe 4 Personen 45 - 58) erste Wahl, sind allerdings positiv überrascht worden. Service war schnell, freundlich und immer einen witzigen Spruch zwischen durch, obwohl es sehr gut besucht war. Essen war heiß und schmackhaft, beim nächsten Besuch in Dresden sind wir wieder hier.

Wir haben hier sehr köstlich gegessen am Abend. Das Essen war perfekt, sehr schmackhaft und schön angerichtet. Das Ambiente im Gastraum war auch sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und wir erhielten unser Essen sehr schnell. Das Restaurant kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Meine Frau hatte das Schwarzbiergulasch und ich die Thüringer Rostbratwurst! Wir waren begeistert.... Bedienung war aufmerksam und das Essen kam auch zügig! Schönes Ambiente!

Bedienung war nur körperlich anwesend, unmotiviert, lustlos und unfreundlich; die Gerichte waren tot gekocht. Nicht zu empfehlen; Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt in keinster Weise. Bier war zu warm, Würzfleisch bestand nur aus Fleisch ohne Soße, zu wenig Käse; Soljanka und Kartoffelsuppe waren ok, Bratkartoffeln erweckten den Anschein, aus der Fritteuse zu kommen. Bei dem Preis nicht akzeptabel. Die Krönung war die Sauerkirsch-Schorle: sie war schon auf dem besten Weg, Wein zu werden. Der Gärprozess hatte bereits begonnen.

I had a very traditional German dish called ”Sauerbraten mit Rotkohl und Semmelknödel”, which is one of my absolute German favorite dishes. Unfortunately, this time I was really dissatisfied: the meat was mushy and too salty and the “Semmelknödel” didn’t really taste much. Sorry to say, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Das Essen war heute soooo lecker 🤤 ich hatte selber falsch bestellt und war sehr froh darüber sonst hätte ich wohl nicht sowas leckeres probiert. Kartoffelpuffer Überbacken mit Käse und lecker Gemüse . Gruß an den Koch 👨‍🍳 es war Top 😋 auch unser Kellner war sehr nett und zuvorkommend . Ich besuche euch definitiv wieder 🥰

Beim Bierhaus Dampfschiff handelt es sich um ein solides Restaurant für Touristen. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, man merkt aber, dass aufgrund der Zielgruppe beim Essen auch nicht übermäßig viel Mühe verwendet werden muss, da eh immer neue Gäste kommen. Die Preise sind eher hoch, allerdings unterscheidet sich das Restaurant damit nicht von den anderen Läden in der Umgebung, die man wohl auch eher als Touri-Fallen bezeichnen könnte. Wer wirklich gutes Essen zu akzeptable Preisen möchte, der sollte den kurzen Weg in die Neustadt auf sich nehmen.

Man fühlte sich nicht als Gast willkommen sondern schnell abgefertigt. Die Kellnerin hatte kein nettes Wort, schaute einen nicht einmal an, sondern immer an einem vorbei. Auch wenn sie an den Tischen vorbei ging, schaute sie nicht zu den Gästen sondern stur vorbei. Wir mussten mehrfach den Versuch unternehmen, um die Rechnung zu bitten. Es wurde auch im Verlauf des Abends nicht nach weiteren Getränkewünschen gefragt. Weiterhin haben wir beobachtet, dass 2 mal das Telefon klingelte. Die Kellner nahmen den Hörer kurz auf und legten ihn direkt wieder auf, ohne die Gespräche anzunehmen. Das Essen war OK, aber nicht mehr. Das Rind beim Gulasch war zum Teil recht zäh, die Soße war überwürzt. Insgesamt hatte man den Eindruck, als würde man die Touristen einfach nur schnell abfertigen, da die ja vermutlich ohnehin nicht wieder kommen.
