Diedrichsburg used to be a really great destination for a hike. A fence has now been completely erected, even around the children's playground, and bringing in food and drinks is prohibited. For two beers and three ice creams, over twenty euros is also a bit outrageous. The good ice cream from Aldi in a pack of 8 is just as expensive as one of these here (melon ice cream). 0.5l wheat non-alcoholic for 6.5 euros is really steep, especially if it's just Krombacher... A waffle with cream and ice cream also costs 6.5 euros. Or for an Alsatian tarte flambée, which probably comes from the frozen food sector, around 13 euros is really not cheap. You can climb the tower for 1 euro as an adult and 50 cents for children. The main thing is that the outside area is monitored by video, but that's no use if the service takes more than 15 minutes to get to the table when there are few visitors, despite staff constantly running in and out. After you had already ordered drinks without a menu, the staff was friendly, but above all quick when it came to taking further orders. The ambience is still really nice, but unsuitable as an excursion destination, for example when hiking. This beautiful little castle with the playground is therefore rather questionable as a destination for a hike, as otherwise there are no more places to sit other than those in the overpriced restaurant and children cannot enter the playground without visiting a restaurant. It's a shame that people want to print money so easily.

My grandchildren and I hiked through the Melle Wildlife Park and bought a few drinks in the outdoor area of ​​Diedrichsburg and drank them there and the children had a lot of fun in the playground. It was a nice day in nature and it's worth visiting Diedrichsburg, because there is a small museum about the animals that live there and the observation tower with a view over Melle is very nice.

The wheat beer is too expensive at €6.50 and it is under the calibration mark of the glass. The Aloli is okay. The Jägerschnitzel, the sauce doesn't taste homemade. Condition is friendly

We were there spontaneously after a bike ride. We didn't have a reservation and got a very nice place on the terrace. The service as well as the food are excellent! We also treated ourselves to panacotta as dessert, a dream!

The staff is super nice and the food is very good. The price is a bit higher but if it tastes good, it's all good. I wanted to have a soup beforehand because the waitress said you couldn't do it (but I shouldn't tell the boss about it)😉. The portion was also very large and I'm so full. And now comes a greeting from the kitchen (mango vanilla dessert). I hope I don't burst. I will gladly come again. On my second visit I was served very well again. The food was first class.

Ate a waffle ("chocolate bomb including cream, chocolate sauce and Duplo") and a piece of cheesecake for €15. Both tasted good and the service was also good. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the prices are significantly too high, especially if you go to this restaurant as an excursion restaurant as part of a hike. For comparison, a 0.5l of wheat in the Weberhaus costs €5.10, a whole €1.40 less than a wheat here for an impressive €6.50.

Unfortunately, our experience with Maximilians Diedrichsburg was extremely disappointing. In February we personally requested an appointment for a confirmation and received a promise that we would contact you again by telephone. After four weeks, we followed up by phone, but the lady on the phone seemed to have no idea and promised to let the event manager know. Unfortunately there was no call back again. We repeated this game one more time, but this time too there was no callback. It seems like few people there know what everyone else is doing. The organization appears unstructured and chaotic. We certainly won't be hosting a party there and won't recommend it to anyone.

We had brunch in this wonderful atmosphere on Easter Sunday, which left nothing to be desired. The service staff were also very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back there again.

Four of us ate at Dietrichsburg and the location itself is worth a visit. The castle looks great from the outside and inside and the furnishings match the atmosphere. When we were there, we had venison goulash and wild boar to choose from and it tasted great! The service was very friendly and had a sense of humor. All in all a great experience!

Thank you so much to the whole team for making my birthday special. All wishes were fulfilled, staff is not intrusive but always there, boss is always in a good mood. Can only recommend it to everyone!!!

A beautiful restaurant, the hall is very tastefully decorated for celebrations of all kinds. I can only recommend it. Price performance is okay.

Great location in the middle of the forest. There is the small but rustic, cozy restaurant. If you go towards the toilets you can go up a staircase which is a breathtaking backdrop. There you can have breakfast with several people or, like us, drink coffee and eat waffles. Also suitable for birthdays or celebrations.

After a hike we went here to eat cake and then kale. All the food was very tasty and the service was really good. The ambience in the large hall also left nothing to be desired. Great food and friendly staff, always happy again!

Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis mit freundlichem Service. Die Location hat mir sehr gefallen.

Zum Essen kann ich nichts sagen, da wir zu einer Buchlesung dort waren. Service und Ambiente waren aber top.

Eine super Lokation, sehr freundliches & zuvorkommendes Personal. Man wird vom Chef persöhnlich begrüßt . Wir haben eine sehr leckere Waffel gegessen . Der Blick oben vom Turm einfach klasse ! ! !

Haben im Juli unseren Hochzeitstag mit Gästen gefeiert. Sammy, der Wirt, ging auf alle unsere Sonderwünsche ein. Das Essen und die Atmosphäre im Rittersaal waren phantastisch. Unser besonderer Dank gilt unserer Servicekraft. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Ambiente ist schön, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, der Kuchen war gut. Wer schlecht zu Fuß ist, kann bis zur Burg mit dem Auto fahren.

Seh schöner Außenbereich, nur der Anfahrtsweg ist sehr schlecht, da müsste die Stadt Melle mal den Weg sanieren

Heute war ich bei einer mittelalterlichen Veranstaltung auf der Diedrichsburg. Zum einen war die Veranstaltung super, aber auch das Essen war sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier können mit Sicherheit auch andere Feste super gefeiert werden und die Aussicht kann man zudem genießen. Der Weg dorthin ist nicht so ganz einfach zu fahren, aber mit Navi kommt man auf jeden Fall an. Wie ich gehört habe, kann man die Burg nicht nur zu Veranstaltungen besuchen, sondern auch sonst mal zum Essen oder auf einen Kaffee dorthin gehen, was bei der Atmosphäre mit Sicherheit auch lohnenswert ist.

Das Essen ist gut, Ambiente und Service jedoch herausragend.

Nachdem Wandern hier eine leckere belgische Waffel mit Eis, Kirschen und Sahne gegessen. Sehr lecker, genau wie der Kaffee. Sehr nette Leute im Service. Die Außenterrasse ist wunderschön und man kann die Ruhe genießen.

Ich habe hier meinen runden Geburtstag gefeiert und würde noch viel mehr Sterne vergeben, wenn es ginge! Die Location ist fantastisch, das Essen ein Genuss und das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unbedingt mal hingehen! ❤️

Wir ware heute zum Probeessen für unsere anstehende Hochzeit hier und wir haben selten so super Service und essen gehabt. Wir hatten die Schweinemedaillons in Pfefferrahmen sauce und Das Hähnchenschnitzel in selbstgemachter Mandelpanade in einer Kräuterrahm Sauce. Das Fleisch war sehr saftig und die Saucen super gewürzt. Als Beilagen gab es Rösti und Kroketten. Der Service war freundlich und der Chef selber auch sehr aufmerksam. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das der Koch ebenfalls zum Tisch kam und auch nach dem Wohlbefinden gefragt hat. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Teller mit einem Mix aus Panna Cotta und Mouse au chocolate. Wir freuen uns auf die Hochzeit und kommen auch außer der Reihe sehr gerne wieder.

Wir haben hier unsere Betriebsfeier ausgerichtet. Eine tolle Location mit schönem Umfeld. Der gepflegte Turm ist ein echtes Highlight und die Aussicht unschlagbar. Der Betreiber und sein Team sind außerordentlich freundlich und gastfreundlich. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Alles in allem ein schöner Ort für erlebnisreiche oder gemütliche Stunden.

Nach dem Spaziergang durch das Wildgehe an der Burg angekommen und in dem Gastsaal(Raum) lecker gegessen. Portionen waren ausreichend und frisch zubereitet. Das Ambiente war super und das Personal sehr freundlich. Nach dem Essen den Turm besichtigt auf halber Höhe ein kleines Naturkundemuseum mit Präparaten der heimischen Tiere. Auf dem Turm eine super Aussicht mit Tafeln einiger Orte und deren Entfernung.

Super Location, sehr lecker, herzlicher Empfang und Service! Unbedingt ausprobieren, absolut empfehlenswert! Vielen Dank für einen schönen Abend!!!

Nach langem unwegsamen Fußmarsch durch ein nicht mehr schönes ehemaliges Wildschweingehege haben wir die Diedrichsburg erreicht. Der Weg hat sich aber gelohnt. Wir haben in einem sehr schönen Garten leckeren Apfelkuchen genossen.

Eine außergewöhnliche Location mit viel Charme, gutem Essen und einen top Service. Die Anfahrt ist etwas abenteuerlich dafür lohnt es sich aber in jedem Fall
