Wir waren jetzt mal mit unserem Sohn und unserer Schwiegertochter aus Mannheim in der Knolle,in Melle.Wir waren wie immer Super zufrieden mit allem. Fazit. Wir werden noch öfter in der Knolle essen gehen. Von uns allen volle Punktzahl.

Angenehme Sitzgelegenheiten und guter Service, aber das Schnitzel war leider schlecht! Es war lauwarm und ganz sicher nicht frisch zubereitet.

Sehr schönes altes Ambiente, Super leckeres Essen, Auf den Punkt genau. Traumhaft leckerer Salat dazu. Wenn ich nicht 350 km weg wohnen würde, hätte ich ein neues Lieblings Restaurant. Preise fair und gut. Sehr freundliches Personal. Keine langen Wartezeiten und noch ein Schnäpschen auf das Haus, was will man mehr.

Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte, die Schnitzel waren kalt, auch das überbackene !!! Das Gemüse eindeutig TK Ware und nicht gewürzt, ebenso war die Hähnchenbrust nicht gewürzt und nur warm, da in einer Pfanne serviert. Dafür sind 15- 20€ pro Gericht viel zu teuer ! Zudem war das nicht überbackene Schnitzel an den Rändern total trocken! Schade! Eigentlich waren wir mal sehr zufrieden mit der Knolle ! So schnell werde ich nicht wieder hingehen…

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend mit Freunden. Das Essen war recht lecker und sehr üppig. An dem Abend war es sehr voll und dadurch auch sehr laut und wuselig. Aber ansonsten einen rund um schöner Abend

Was man dort sieht, ist ein Kartoffelburgee. Statt Brötchen, halt Kartoffelpuffer. Dazu einen Salat mit leckerem Dressing.

Freundliche Bedienung Essen wie immer toll

Tolle Location, leider waren bei den Schmelzzwiebeln doch einige Schalen dabei, sehr schade sonst top! Service super!

Unser absolutes Lieblingslokal! Regelmäßig gehen wir hier essen und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Absolute 10/10! Der Service stimmt immer, das Essen kommt zügig, ist immer absolut empfehlenswert. Auch die neuen Getränke auf der Karte sind klasse!

Hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Essen schmeckt und mir gefällt die Atmosphäre. Bedienung hatte ein paar Schwierigkeiten - war aber auch sehr voll.

Ein gutes rustikales Essen mit vernünftigen Preisen. Sollte doch einmal etwas sein reagiert der Service sofort. Bei mir war eine Kleinigkeit mit den Reibekuchen und ich bekam direkt neue frisch gemacht. Ein riesiges Dankeschön an den super netten Service .

Immer wieder gerne in der Knolle. Das Essen ist super und die Preise sind fair. Personal ist auch super lieb und immer für den Gast da. Silvester das Rahmschnitzel gegessen und es war super lecker. Salat Beilage ist immer mit eine mega tollen Dressing und nicht wie bei vielen ohne etwas. Da sagt man sich.. wenn Salat dann bitte aber nur in lecker.

Wir waren nach langer Zeit mal wieder im Karrtoffelhaus . Leider ging das Essen gar nicht . Wenn Man in einem Kartoffelhaus , Bratkartoffeln bestellt , würde ich vermuten das das aufjedenfall klappen sollte !! Aber sie waren viel zu dick , kalt und irgendetwas zwischen roh und bissfest ! Fleisch war ganz okay , aber auch das Gemüse war kalt ! Schade

Ein wirklich gemütlicher Laden. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Essen ist, bis auf ein paar kleine Ausnahmen, echt super. Wir gehen hier regelmäßig hin. Das Preis- leistungsverhältnis ist super.

Leckeres Essen super Service und große Portionen zu einem guten Kurs

Das Schnitzel war außen knusprig und innen zart. Die Portion war großzügig und wurde heiß serviert. Auch die Beilagen waren frisch und stimmig. Der Service verlief zügig. Insgesamt ein überzeugender Besuch, den ich gerne weiterempfehle.

We went there for the first time today on a recommendation and we really enjoyed it; we'll definitely be back. The menu was very diverse, and it was hard to choose. The place itself is very quaint and cozy. The service was so friendly. And most importantly: the food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long. But be warned, come hungry! The schnitzel portion is huge. But better than going home hungry, I'd say. :) We also think the prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes.

A great Mediterranean restaurant serving German cuisine. Plenty of space inside and outside, large portions, and a wide variety of dishes are available. It's especially recommended during October, as it's also during Oktoberfest.

Whether in Melle or Herford, we left the restaurant satisfied. Highly recommended.

I was here with four people, and the food was excellent, as always. It was very busy, so it took a little longer to arrive, but that wasn't a problem at all. There's comfortable seating both inside and outside, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

A lovely restaurant with several rooms and small alcoves in the old-fashioned style. You can also sit outside under pleasant umbrellas. The menu is varied, with potatoes, of course, as the main side dish. Everything was delicious, served promptly and in a friendly manner, and at a fair price. You'll feel at home here. Word has already spread, so it's best to make a reservation in advance via the website.

Given the name, I would have preferred homemade fries. Unfortunately, they were rippled fries from a bag. But the schnitzel was very tasty. The casserole was also delicious.

Yes, it really is a lovely atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside. The food is delicious, and the service is super friendly and accommodating.

Good food, lots of choices but it was a pity they couldn’t handle all the guests. It was too busy, we had to wait for over an hour before we were asked what we wanted to eat, we felt totally ignored. Just a simple eye contact or some quick words to give the impression you care for your customers would have done. Don’t take reservations if you can’t handle.

Die Knollle was "knudde" for me. One of the worst zwiebelrostbraten I have eaten. Onions were limp, probably the oil too cold or reheated onions. Meat was fine. Fried potatoes were also not freshly fried.

One server was extremely unfriendly, the other was very courteous and helpful. My parents' meal was completely oversalted, and one plate was returned. My schnitzel was okay, but the croquettes were hard as concrete.

By chance, the two of us ended up there. We were seated right away. The staff was friendly. The food was simply amazing! Everyone had a different dish with different ingredients on their plates, each one truly an experience! We eat out often and have rarely been so satisfied. Someone really knows what they're doing. Enjoy!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The potato dumplings with mushrooms were very good, but the Wiener Schnitzel was unfortunately not good at all. The breading was soggy, the meat was dry and tasteless. A real shame.

We had a very tasty meal here yesterday. Really tasty German quality food, very well prepared and for a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff, and once again compliments to the Chef. I had a Rahm Schnitzel, but the other dishes I saw immediately made you drool, everything looked super good. We received a drink on the house in advance and the service was very nice. What I also loved were the potatoes (fries) that come from our own cultivation. Tasted great too! In short, this restaurant is highly recommended, the entire atmosphere and layout are also great! You immediately feel at home, a bit of an old German/Austrian atmosphere in terms of decoration. Very nice.

Good cuisine based on potatoes. From Tuesday to Friday there is a lunch special for under 10 euros. Some dishes are also available as senior plates. The staff is extremely friendly. We felt very comfortable and were completely satisfied with our food.

Were there yesterday on business. Had super tasty pork medallions. All wishes were implemented excellently. Thank you very much and gladly again!

Der Empfang war zwar nicht freundlich aber in Ordnung.Die Gerichte waren gewürzlich gut abgestimmt und haben ausgezeichnet geschmeckt.Die Portionen ausreichend und preislich angemessen.Die schlechtere Wertung hatte folgenden Grund. Die Bedienung tolerierte Hund auf der Bank die auch noch mit Kleinigkeiten gefüttert wurden.Das sind für mich unhaltbare hygienische Verhältnisse,da die Bank später weder gründlich gesäubert noch desinfiziert wurde.Wenn Hygiene so unterbewertet wird kann schnell Ekel aufkommen.

Very rustic gastronomy. That's a matter of taste. The food is not a matter of taste. They are extremely good! We had a really great and very young cellar named Deniz. Very careful, friendly, quick and simply great. This will become something big again. It's rare to meet young people who not only want to complete a task, but actually want to do it well. Unfortunately, sometimes you get assigned terrible tables despite reservations. Right on the way to the toilet with the cigarette machine behind me. This is certainly due to the very special atmosphere, but it really doesn't make the guests happy.

Herliches restaurant. Immer freundlicher Personal. Mit ein kleines Getränk fangt die schöne abend oder morgen an. Viel Wahl auf die Karte und auch viel vegetarischen essen. Komm hier immer wieder wenn ich in die nähe bin.

Enjoyed the “Allgäuer Spätzle Pfanne” for lunch today. It's Oktoberfest time, so a special menu with specialties related to the largest folk festival in the world. Very delicious and large portion. Recommended. Nice service person.

We came across the restaurant via Google reviews and were certainly not disappointed. Great food, great staff and an appealing ambience are just some of the plus points and even though the restaurant was fully booked, our order didn't take long and the volume level was such that normal conversation was possible. Absolutely recommended!!

1/3 of the rump steak was inedible because it had tendons running through it. The plate included beans that were not included. Ignored by the staff, the meat became cold, so the beans were only mentioned when the bill was paid. The re-ordered herb butter only came when the meat was cold, steak knives were not available. The quality of the meat could be better, but perhaps only 200g instead of the stated 250g. On the grill plate there was chicken, pork neck and rump steak, unfortunately large and flat, so it was fried dry. There was no discount because of the missing beans and the stringy meat. I was asked if I wanted to take the beans home with me. We won't be coming back...

The potato house in Melle. I was here for the first time today. My companion was my girlfriend. We reserved a table at 5:30 p.m. and were taken to our beautiful table, number 11, right on the stroke of the bell. This is right around the corner to the left after entering and is super cozy. In no time we were asked what we would like to drink and less than five minutes later we were served. Then we ordered our food, the fried potatoes with fried eggs for my girlfriend and the councilman's plate for me. The food came in under 15 minutes and tasted super fresh and well prepared. We both got really full, and for a low total price of just under 46 euros. The price and quality of the food are in perfect proportion and we decided to definitely visit this establishment again! I can confidently recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves German cuisine! Many thanks for the lovely evening to the staff and the wonderful food to the kitchen!
