Very friendly staff. Good food at attractive prices.

Great atmosphere – food like Maggi seasoning? The ambiance and the signs outside the restaurant led us to believe we could enjoy good food and great beers. The service was very friendly and attentive. It wasn't too crowded at lunchtime. Unfortunately, the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) tasted as if they had been cooked with a ton of Fondor or Maggi seasoning mix. I can't say what was special about the fried onions. It's kind of our own fault, because the additives are listed on the menu, and given the quantity, I should have realized that a lot of convenience food was used. The wild boar sausages weren't freshly cooked, but rather kept warm or reheated. They tasted okay. For those who value good food, this restaurant isn't really recommended. The same goes for the beer selection. With a restaurant like that, it was a real disappointment...

We only wanted to grab a drink, as is often the case when you're strolling through town, get thirsty, and stop "somewhere"... and that "somewhere" turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck! The chilled water was already a treat... We ended up ordering soup after all, one potato soup and one leek and minced meat soup... both were excellent (we usually order different things and try each other's), hot and plentiful! And the restaurant was quite busy, but the staff very kindly informed the next guests that there were no more tables available. In general, the staff was very attentive and welcoming; they even asked us several times if everything was alright... that's not always the case in every restaurant. ... My envious glance at the other guests' orders revealed the diversity of the food. As I said, we only wanted drinks and therefore didn't look beyond the soups on the menu—a mistake, by the way, that I would repeat later. Wild boar currywurst, Grandma's meatballs, liver Berlin style... everything passed me by. We decided to come back. Two days later, again at lunchtime, the time had come. The restaurant was packed, but we managed to find two seats on a bench opposite the bar and next to the kitchen entrance (which, in retrospect, was a fatal mistake). We ordered water: 0.75 ml of chilled Gerolsteiner. A quick glance (mistake! for the second time 😱😄) at the menu, but I wanted the liver or the currywurst anyway 😉. I ordered the currywurst with fries and extra mayonnaise, which tasted delicious and reminded me of a homemade mayonnaise I once had in Celle – very good! The portion of fries was ample, the currywurst was hot and tasty, and we didn't have to wait long. The service, with different staff this time, was just as friendly and attentive as on our first visit. For our second dish, we had Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), also very tasty. Now, here too... and even worse... the seating area by the kitchen revealed just how extensive the menu selection was – a real ordeal 😅... including Leberkäse (a type of meatloaf) with mashed potatoes and a fried egg, stuffed potatoes with quark, other bratwursts, and so on and so forth... Nothing against the delicious currywurst, but I wish I had read the whole menu! 🫩😁 We'll be back! Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy, the service excellent, the menu extensive and varied, and... the food is so delicious, the portions are generous, the location in the city center (near Galeria) is very central, and when it's warm, you can sit outside with a view of the church. Everything was spotless! We'll be back! ...and next time I'll order the Leberkäse, or the Berlin-style liver, or maybe the potatoes with quark? 🤔 .......

We spontaneously decided to eat at Wildfang. I had potato soup and garlic soup. Very tasty. Highly recommended.

We went there for lunch. I ordered the minced beef and leek soup. For almost €9, the soup was as thin as water. The minced beef wasn't properly browned either. There was neither bread nor a roll with it. I left hungry and disappointed...

We had liver Berlin style. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

The ribs were tender and really delicious with the BBQ sauce. The side dishes were fine. We felt comfortable, especially with the great atmosphere in the log cabin style 👍🏻 The selection of Central German beers on tap was also impressive.

Unfortunately, we have to give a bad review. We made a reservation the evening before. Since we couldn't reach anyone by phone after several attempts, we made a reservation online for 10 and 8 people respectively, as more than 10 people weren't possible. The following day, we arrived at the restaurant with 17 people and a table for 8. Without any prior notification, our reservation for 10 was canceled, and there was no follow-up call to ask if it was a mistake. At the restaurant, we only received excuses. Poor service.

A top recommendation for a moment of pleasant hospitality: a modern regional menu, friendly and attentive service. Delicious food (I haven't had such perfect fries in ages, and the wild boar sausage is second to none). Very generous portions! Excellent value for money, and a lovely outdoor seating area. Full marks!!!

We were in Goslar for a few days in June 2025 and chose Wildfang on our first day. We were so impressed with the overall experience that we ate there the rest of the days as well. The lemonades are highly recommended; they're delicious; we tried them all. The food selection is impressive. We tried something different every day, and everything was excellent. Highly recommended; meat eaters will definitely get their money's worth. Of course, there are also vegetarian dishes, but we hadn't considered them. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. All in all, very good!

Main courses are much too small, and the staff simply add tips without asking (when paying by card).

The beer at this pub is simply outstanding! There's a wide selection of beers, all freshly tapped and served perfectly chilled. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, ideal for both a relaxed evening with friends and a quick beer after work. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and makes you feel at home right away. The value for money is absolutely spot on. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

Super cozy atmosphere, really good food!

We had venison bratwurst with wild garlic purée. The food, especially the sausages, arrived quickly but were served lukewarm to cold. They appeared to be in a warming container. After we pointed this out, the plates were taken away and the same sausages were brought back, slightly warmer. These sausages were definitely not freshly cooked, which is the easiest task even for convenience food. The food was also very salty overall, a real disappointment.

I ate the delicious chicken salad once again, and my husband had the venison bratwurst... once again, very, very tasty. And the price is perfect 👌... The service is always very friendly, and when the weather's nice, it's fun to sit outside and enjoy the day 🍀 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴 We've eaten here often over the past three years. Now, after a long time, we're having the chicken salad! What a disappointment‼️ The portions have been reduced to tourist standards; you can now add three slices of bread for 70 cents extra, while the price of the salad remains the same! Well done, chef‼️ That'll fill your pockets for now, but it's spoiled the taste for us as regular guests. We won't be coming back. If you can't get enough, it will eventually show in the number of guests! Nevertheless, thanks to the friendly staff! The service is the only reason I might come back again (though for a coffee, not more food).

My absolute favorite restaurant in Goslar. Fine drinks and attentive service guarantee a pleasant stay in the heart of the old town. The food is excellent, with a selection of regional and Harz-style dishes. I love the "liver Berliner" (liver Berlin style) there! Sitting outside in nice weather is a delight.

We went to Wildfang today. I had the baked potato with fried mushrooms, and I have to say, I've never eaten such delicious mushrooms. The cucumber-lime-mint lemonade complemented it, which was also delicious and refreshing. The service was polite and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

Nice Service, good Portion sizes and creative twists in the dishes (honey, walnut mustard Sauce, mashed potatos with wild garlic...). The ribs were an absolute highlight, so tender, falling right off the bones, seasoned with a fantastic marinade. Great home-made lemonades. Highly recommended!

The friendly waitress pointed out the daily specials to us, and the two waiters were fantastic, friendly, and accommodating. The food: one Leberkäse (meatloaf), one simple French fries, Berliner Leber (liver sausage), and a large mixed veggie salad... Really, really great... 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 from the bottom of my heart... oh, the prices... completely normal, rather too cheap for Goslar... We'll be back... definitely

Visually, it's very nice, modern, and cozy. The food is okay, but we expected more, for example. We ordered, among other things: Lemon-lime chicken, wild garlic mash, pumpkin mayonnaise, and salad. What we got: 2 deep-fried chicken schnitzels with a lemon wedge on top 😑 No lime, no nice seasoning... Well, we ate it, it was OK... Service like in most restaurants, unfortunately, only untrained staff. It's a shame, because based on the appearance alone, we expected a bit more.

Nice restaurant in the old town. Friendly and fast service. On Sunday evenings, you should finish eating by 9 p.m. (After that, the sidewalks in Goslar are rolled up). The menu is varied. We also wanted to try Wildfang. It was supposed to be a light lunch, nothing special. Wild currywurst with fries and salad, tarte flambée with goat cheese, tomatoes, and walnuts. Simple dishes, which, if expertly prepared, aren't necessarily bad. Unfortunately, the poor sausage was just tossed listlessly into the deep fryer, and the pseudo-curry sauce consisted only of ketchup and curry. It was a complete failure, both professionally and in terms of cooking. I find it rather cheeky to call 0.5 lettuce leaves, 2 grated cucumbers, and 3 slices of carrots a side salad. The tarte flambée wasn't any better. The tomatoes were just a blob of sauce. ...This is, of course, just my opinion.

I've rarely been served something so disgusting. We ordered a crispy chicken burger and chili cheese fries - what we got was a taste disaster across the board. The “Chili Cheese Fries”? An absolute disgrace. No chili, no sauce, nothing. Instead, there was a sad, half-melted slice of processed cheese lying over the fries like a wet washcloth, dead, tasteless, sad. And to top it off: chives. Just like that. Randomly sprinkled on top. As if this were some high-class topping. It looked like someone had accidentally thrown some grass from the curb over it. If that’s supposed to be “chilli cheese,” then goodnight. The chicken burger was a complete health hazard. The chicken was completely raw inside. Not medium, not juicy – ​​just raw. It would have belonged right back in the kitchen, but even there it would have been out of place. And the so-called “mustard sauce”? Rotten, old, sour like it was fermented in a forgotten fridge. An imposition. The service? A pure test of patience. Slow, disinterested, uncoordinated. You almost had to beg for someone to even move to the table. And then you wait forever for THAT? Honestly, it wasn't a meal, it was an attack. On taste, on mood, on stomach. Save yourself this nightmare.

We were there as tourists, had a long journey and were dressed casually and sporty and wanted to eat here because the reviews were positive everywhere and we were hungry. When I asked for a table, I didn't feel comfortable when I saw the waiter and he hesitated for a long time. Apparently all the tables were reserved and so we were offered the island in the middle, which we agreed to. (you can't tell by appearance whether you can afford it financially or not!!!!) The food was a 10/10 and so was the house soda! After we placed the order, the next guests came, two people, we were told that the reserved tables would be from 6 p.m. (it was now 5:30 p.m.) and the guests' reservations would suddenly be at 7 p.m. I wonder, were we offered the uncomfortable island so we would turn it down? I would have liked to come more often during my stay, but I don't tolerate prejudice based on his appearance. The waitress was super friendly.
