Leider war das Lokal am Sonntag, dem 19. Januar 2025 mittags nicht geöffnet. Laut Internet und Aushang hätte geöffnet sein müssen. Dr Speisekartenkasten war beleuchtet, die Gastatätte jedoch war zu. Kein Hinweis, keine Bitte um Verständnis, denn Personal kann ja mal kurzfristig ausfallen. Gastfreundlichkeit geht jedenfalls anders

Review for the Klosterkrug in Wöltingerode. We spent a wonderful evening as a family in the Klosterkrug and can recommend it without reservation! The food was excellent - from starters to desserts, everything was fresh, tasty and prepared with a lot of love. Particularly noteworthy is the variety on the menu, which really offers something for everyone – our children were also thrilled! The little ones could choose from a special children's menu, and the staff was extremely attentive, patient and child-friendly. Our dog was also given a warm welcome: a bowl of water was immediately brought and he was allowed to sit down and relax next to us. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was extremely friendly, and you can tell that quality and hospitality are important here. A big compliment to the entire team – we will definitely be back! Conclusion: An ideal place for a family trip where everyone, from the little ones to the four-legged friends, feels completely at home.

Food disappointment. Starter quite good. The burger was a disaster. The meat was dry and tasted old, I couldn't eat it. After complaining, no apology from the waitress, let alone a small apology or compensation. It's a shame. Table reservation was not entered, only with luck could we get a table. Good food every time. A reservation is recommended if you want to eat with several people. In summer it is also possible to sit outside.

It used to be really good here, but unfortunately that is a thing of the past. The food is just average, which also fits the prices. You had to look for the goulash among the whole mushrooms. There used to be really good cooks here. Plus the service is terrible. The heavily tattooed and flippant, inattentive waitress asks at every table whether you even need a drinks menu. "Nope- we brought our own drinks!" - are you crazy??? Diligence works differently! With us it was complete. left out, so I had to ask for it. And then there is only one per table, even with 4 people. In addition, the waitress speaks loudly with her singing, squawking voice so strong that even the guests in the next room can hear what they are drinking. A person like this either needs to be properly trained or not be part of the service at all. Unfortunately, good staff has become very rare these days, so if necessary you take what you can get. For us, the Klosterkrug is over for now. We know him from a more serious time and at a higher level.

Very good restaurant with a clear menu. Regionally grown dishes. Service is good, staff is friendly. Requests are taken into account. Very wide range of confectionery products. Update: hot food is restricted between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., but that's not on the online menu.

Great food... Very tasty, a selection of my dishes from 3 evenings at the Klosterkrug. We were a group of 10 people who had dinner here for 3 days in a row as hotel guests of the Klosterhotel Wöltingerode. Every dish looked delicious, tasted great and was prepared with great love using great, fresh ingredients. The young service team did a great job. Friendly, courteous, high praise.

As a guest at the monastery hotel, we couldn't find room for one person for the fourth time. The management seems overwhelmed with the planning and the organizational situation. It's good that there are good alternatives in Vienenburg.

3/4 hours until the drinks were ordered, 1 1/2 hours until the food, the second drink order after the third attempt, hectic, very slow, even the service was very loud on the way, a shame, never again 😡

We were there last weekend. The restaurant was well attended. The three of us got a table in the Jägerzimmer without a reservation. The food was very plentiful and tasty. Our wishes regarding the food were fulfilled without any problems and the price was fair. The staff was super nice and accommodating... the service was unique. We look forward to the next time and hope that our visit to this restaurant will be just as good!!!

This afternoon we wanted to take a coffee break outside with 5 people. We were politely turned away by a young employee because they first had to process the guests present. But we were able to reserve a table for 30/45 minutes later. After the agreed time we were turned away again because, according to them, the situation had still calmed down. However, upon request, we were allowed to sit on the beer tent sets and wait. After a while, a second employee was about to come and serve us when another employee asked her to do some other tasks first. When she was finished, she came to the beer tent set and brought us the cards. While we were trying to choose something, we heard this employee being "harassed" about why she brought us the cards when she was supposed to do other work first (which she did). We then spoke to the employee very angrily and told her that her behavior towards us and her colleague was really outrageous and that she no longer needed to serve us as guests. It turned out that the employee was the restaurant manager. As an explanation for her behavior, she explained that she had been working with the two colleagues for 10 hours, hadn't been able to take a break, hadn't even had time to have a drink and that she had to speak so clearly to her colleague because her German wasn't that good can speak. Furthermore, she didn't know that we had already been there and that her young colleague had put us off until a later date. I would also like to add that at the time of our visit, 7 tables outside and 2 tables inside were occupied and in addition to the 3 ladies, a gentleman was also helping to serve. Long story short. Poor organization and unfriendly and overwhelmed restaurant management. Thanks to the blonde employee who put in a lot of effort, was hospitable and did her job very conscientiously!!!

Great restaurant, even nicer the beer garden. I would like to go there more often if the service wasn't so terrible. This year I registered there twice with a larger group (10-12 people). The opinion was unanimous. Great ambience, nice rooms, even nicer beer garden but the service, because there are chronically too few staff, spoils everything. You wait ages before you can even order something. Then you wait a long time for the drinks to be delivered. Some people get their drinks while the others continue to wait and then have to be patient again until they get something to eat in stages. In the meantime the drinks are gone. When you reorder, it sometimes takes until after the meal for the drink to be brought out. Because of the service I probably won't go there again.

Prices too high for the average food. But it is delicious, the game dishes are recommended! One also wonders why a high hedge outside has to block the beautiful view behind it. All in all, I'm used to higher quality from monastery inns at these prices.

Es könnte so schön sein, tolle Location, schönes Wanderziel, leider gehört der Klosterkrug zur "Servicewüste": Im Biergarten sitzen bei bestem Wetter ca. 10 Gäste. Auf die Frage an die Servicekraft, ob man sich auch draußen hinsetzen kann, bejaht sie dieses. Dort sind weder Tische eingedeckt, noch gibt es Speisekarten. Tische sind nicht abgeräumt. Schirme sind nicht aufgespannt. Eine Bedienung erscheint mit Eisbechern nach ca. 15 Minuten, schaut um die Ecke und ruft, "Alter, was ist denn hier los" und geht wieder hinein....

Unfortunately, the map posted here on Google is out of date. There are fewer vegan options on the current menu. The vegan main course (vegetable curry) tastes like a frozen dish with a few seasonal vegetables added. Not recommendable. The waitresses are very nice, but you have to be patient until they come to you. As a result, I would come back again for a drink, but not for food.

We had dinner here with the family last week. Had reserved in advance. We got a table in the hunter's room and were alone in the room that day. It was quite good, so the kids could run around a little and didn't disturb the other guests. I've known the Klosterkrug for a long time, I just haven't been here for a long time because I don't live nearby anymore. I'm disappointed with the menu, I was expecting game dishes... there was just a game burger. The menu is very manageable, but there are season tickets, such as the current asparagus menu. I chose the homemade sour meat with fried potatoes and remoulade sauce (16 €). The waiting time between ordering drinks, ordering food and being served seemed normal to me. Since we were a large group, we all had something to tell each other anyway. In between, a greeting came from the kitchen: warm baguette with herb dip, which later turned out to be my tartar sauce with the sour meat. Was delicious. About my meal: It was good, nothing special... fried potatoes were crispy, tartar sauce was creamy, sour meat was tender and a fresh side salad. Price-performance fits here. For the children there was, among other things, pasta in tomato sauce with sausage ragout. The noodles are huge spiral noodles and absolutely delicious... unfortunately they are not available for adults. The staff was very nice and tried hard. If you had any questions about the food, information was provided, when you ordered roast beef (as the main course) you were informed that the meat would be served cold, and there was children's cutlery for the kids. But I had to pass on dessert, which only started at €9 (for warm chocolate cake). I think that's overpriced. We had a nice afternoon. Thanks

**Very disappointing!** I have rarely experienced such poor service as in this restaurant. After we arrived, we had to wait for over half an hour before anyone even paid attention to us. The waiters walked past us several times without even looking at us. When we were finally able to place our order, it took another eternity for the drinks to arrive. But that wasn't enough: When we wanted to pay, the same game repeated itself. We were simply ignored and it took far too long until we finally received our bill. Overall a very disappointing experience. If you value good service, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

The food was delicious, as always when we were there. The service was very friendly, even though they were just running because there was so much going on. They couldn't clear the plates straight away. But they gave it their all and that's what counts! We'd love to come back.

The confirmed reserved table was not free. The lunch orders were taken after about 25 minutes. The food wasn't worth the money. The fish is fried to death. Add salt to the risotto. The pasta sauce for the pasta is rather bland and thin “soup”. The tarte flambée was “mushy” and soggy. It's a shame about the time and money.

We were passing through the wonderful monastery hotel and then ate at the Klosterkrug. Great service and quick process - very friendly!!!!! The Wild Burger was our choice (21+€) - twice! We like good burgers and I like paying a lot for good food. A baked pita roll with a dry meat paddy, a MINI tomato slice - hardly any sauce, everything was rather very dry. Neither of us finished! Disappointing! Maybe the operator will take the criticism to heart and conjure up a good brioch roll with a juicy homemade paddy for €21, put a delicious BBQ sauce on it, a few braised onions/tomatoes/lettuce... and then there's applause!!!! A good burger can be mastered! I'm writing this because it's currently considered good practice in the catering industry to adjust the price screw properly (because of electricity/purchasing/staff/and the Greens). But then the quality also has to be right! The burger doesn't hold up at all, we didn't have any other food! Good location, great staff!

We went there yesterday for Mother's Day and the buffet was really good, but I think they didn't expect so many guests to come. The waiters were completely overwhelmed, the drinks came late and when we asked about them we heard the man making the drinks shouting at the staff (and it turned out that this man was the restaurant manager). How are the waiters supposed to work properly when their manager is unable to do his job properly and yells at them even though it's his fault that drinks are served late to every table in the restaurant?!!

I'd like to give one point for the ambience, but unfortunately that's about it. If you know that it's Father's Day (holiday) and that the weather is terrible, then you should simply increase the staff so that it's okay. And unfortunately it didn't work at all. I don't want to dwell on the topic any longer, because if you read the reviews, my little criticism is not an isolated case. So please - just plan and organize better. You can't tell guests to order your drinks at the drinks booth, while the waitress stalks out of the restaurant with full drink trays directly to a group of "men" who seem to have arrived 30 minutes later than us, but are served first - with Drinks that they could have gotten at the drinks booth? We sat outside unattended for 40 minutes, asked twice for an order and then happily left.

Since the takeover it's just been abysmally bad. No service, no draft beer, although 12 tables are still free. Too bad for Wölti...

One star is actually too many. First of all, I would like to mention that we have been here many times, but I have never experienced such chaos as yesterday. Admittedly...it was a holiday and it was full but waiting over an hour for drinks is absurd. Not to mention the food. The tables were not cleared or wiped down. There was total chaos. Nobody knew what the other was doing. Drinks and food were booked to other tables. The trainee was not able to calculate correctly when collecting money. When you mentioned all this you didn't even get an apology. For me it's clear...NEVER AGAIN. It's actually a shame because the location and the beer garden actually invite you to linger.

Today, Friday, we were in the beautiful garden of the Klosterkrug. We've been there several times before, but today it was a total disaster. It took over an hour for the drinks to arrive after half an hour of insistence from us. The glasses and plates of the guests who had been there before were piled up at the neighboring tables. With the exception of one waitress, no one managed to take anything with them when they brought drinks. Then incorrect allocation of orders at the tables, double drinks that came and food that was distributed like it was at the bazaar. Sorry, on May 1st you should work organized. The food, well, schnitzel is also better in the Harz...

Totally bad service. Other guests with us waited a long time for their orders. We ordered drinks twice from different service staff. Even then it still took forever for the drinks to arrive. The same picture at the next table, forever waiting for drinks and food. There was sufficient staff on site. My impression, it was very uncoordinated. One waitress didn't know what orders the other had taken. The worst thing about the whole thing was that the service staff didn't even know where the orders went. To me she seemed totally overwhelmed. This may not always be the case, but today, on the holiday, it was particularly bad. Other guests were also annoyed by the condition and the confusion that reigned there.

We love the place! We arrived there looking for an open place to eat. When we arrived, the place looked very nice! We quietly entered the restaurant and to our surprise, the place was very beautiful, perfectly decorated, illuminated and cozy. We were given a table right away, and the food we ordered arrived after about 20 at most. The prices were very affordable and fair. The food was delicious!. We will definitely return for their upcoming events and more!

Das Essen kam nicht zur gleichen Zeit. Beim ersten Servieren vergaß das Personal Kartoffeln für einen Gast. Bei der zweiten Portion (zu den beiden fehlten) war das Fleisch fast roh und wurde zurück in die Küche geliefert. Dabei wurde das gleiche (angeschnittene) Stück Fleisch einfach noch einmal angebraten und anschließend auf einem sauberen Teller serviert. Das bedeutete, dass die Kartoffeln fehlten, die auf dem Teller lagen, als er in die Küche getragen wurde. sie wurden nicht ersetzt. Es ist einiges schief gelaufen. Viel Glück beim nächsten Mal.

The Klosterkrug was actually a good place to go for good home cooking. Today (Easter Sunday) the service was a disaster. Plates weren't cleared away, I didn't get my drink order (I asked 3 times), the service was completely haphazard and overwhelmed. The changing table was completely dirty and there was hardly any space to change your child. As a father you have no option at all. This should be improved.

Sunday, beautiful weather, coffee time.... so in the Klosterkrug at 3:20 p.m.... out again at 3:40 p.m. There were a few tables free but ALL of them were full of dishes from the previous guests. The staff was extremely overwhelmed by a rush at coffee time, which is certainly not to be expected in this weather. And that the cake was already sold out shortly after 4:30... hmmmm. But maybe we just had a stupid time. So leave the location without eating anything. I think we won't test this a second time. It's a shame actually, the pictures of the food looked pretty good here.

Today, after a long break, we ate at the Klosterkrug again and were so happily surprised... very tasty veal cheeks with potato snow, vegetarian cabbage roulade with smoked tofu, and finally a warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and pear compote, whipped cream... the service was great, a very approachable, friendly young person Woman from the Spreewald, we are completely satisfied and will definitely be back soon!! Absolutely satisfied, if you are in the area you should stop by here. The game goulash was the best thing I have ever eaten, and my godchild (7) also gives the restaurant 10 out of 10 stars.

Great food, cozy and friendly service

As a greeting from the kitchen, we were served fresh baguette (still warm) with a herb quark/sour cream. Very tasty 👍🏻 The duck and the red cabbage tasted very good. The meat was very tender and the skin was partly crispy. 😊👍🏻 The dumplings were good, with a little too much butter crumbs on them. Overall, it wouldn't have been necessary. The sauce (orange-mugwort) was served separately. It was tasty, but overall it didn't really impress me. The red wine was very good. 👍🏻 🍷 When asked, the schnitzel and the side salad with dressing also tasted good. 👍🏻 The chocolate tart was good and a very good combination overall. 👍🏻 The tart itself could have been a little less sweet for my personal taste. The espresso was good. When asked, the harzipan panna cotta was also delicious, but it could have tasted a little more like harzipan. Different liqueurs: - Aniseed liqueur “Anni” very tasty 👍🏻 - Lemon-ginger "Zingwer" burns everything away properly - Apricot schnapps didn't convince us Otherwise there was harzipan and hazelnut, which were well received. CONCLUSION: Overall we liked it and enjoyed it. We'd love to come back if we get the chance. 👍🏻

Very nice inn, very friendly staff who always try to find a place, even if you haven't made a reservation. We really enjoy coming there. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has recently declined. The starter completely devoid of taste sophistication. The main course was a little better, but unfortunately the lime dominated so much that the taste of the kale in the pasta was completely lost due to the acidity. The wine was slightly corky. A pity. But overall it's still a restaurant you'll enjoy going to.

Nach mehreren nicht sehr erfreulichen Besuchen vor einigen Jahren habe ich den Klosterkrug wieder besucht. Meine Begleiterin war ebenfalls angenehm überrascht. Es stimmte alles. So muss ein Restaurantbesuch sein. Ergänzend wäre eine Rampe an der doppelseitigen Treppe nett, dann hätte meine Begleiterin ihren Rollator allein hochgebracht.

Eine Empfehlung für gute Gastlichkeit

Superschöne, freundliche Atmosphäre, großzügige Zimmer, tolles Essen im Klosterkrug, reichhaltiges Frühstück, absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Wir besuchen den Klosterkrug immer wieder mal, um ein Schnitzel zu essen. Es ist also nicht so schlecht, dass wir uns abschrecken lassen. Wirklich gut geht aber anders. Der gesamte Service ist eher "Basic" ein zweites Getränk ist schon Fehlanzeige. Das Essen gerade mal OK.

Dieser Ort ist immer wieder für einen Ausflug unser Ziel.....

Familienausflug mit 2 kleinen Kindern (4 u 6) Unser Highlight war der Spielplatz! Leider haben wir erst kurz vor Ende unseres Besuches davon erfahren, da das Personal so mit den Vorbereitungen einer Veranstaltung beschäftigt waren, dass der normale Betrieb leider darunter litt. Wir mussten recht lange warten, bis wir die Karte erhielten und dann wieder bis zur Bestellung. Das Essen kam dann aber zeitnah. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Schade nur, dass man von 14:30-17:30Uhr nur eine kleine Auswahl hatte. Gefehlt hat mir jedenfalls etwas für den kleinen Hunger.

Essen durchschnittlich, Service total!!! überfordert. Vom Bestellten bis zum Essen sind 2 Stunden vergangen. Manche Essen wurden vergessen, Getränke mussten teilweise 3 -4 mal bestellt werden.....

Es war iel los, wir waren im Biergarten. Da gibt es nur eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen. Auf jeden Fall sehr schmackhaft. Und das Personal ist sehr nett, man fühlt sich gut versorgt. Wir können bestimmt mal wieder.

Da wir im Hotel HP gebucht haben war für das Abendessen ein Harzer Vesperteller vorgesehen. Man entschuldigte sich und bot uns ein Dreigang Menü an. Das Essen war lecker, Pfifferlingensuppe und Hähnchenbrustfilet, Nachtisch warme Apfelstrudel, kann ich nicht beurteilen, haben verzichtet, da allzu langer Wartezeit. Das Personal kam uns überfordert vor.

Essen top, Service top, Atmosphäre unglaublich super und für die Kinder gibt es auch ein sehr schöne Spielplatz ♥️ Da komme ich gerne wieder ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 da kann man nur 5++ Sterne geben 🙏🏻

Gerne wieder! Service war gut und das Essen war sehr lecker!

Der Service völlig überfordert. Zwei Kräfte die offenbar noch nie gekellnert hatten, angeleitet von einer Kraft, die scheinbar zumindest schon mal gesehen hat wie es gehen könnte…. Sehr suboptimal. Dazu ein wie ich fand ungemütliches Ambiente, ähnlich einem Restaurant im Möbelhaus. Klosterkrug, da erwartet man Gemütlichkeit und vielleicht auch historisches Flair. Fehlanzeige. Raucher im Eingang, was dann im Gastraum einen Geruch wie in der Kneipe verursachte. Das Essen dann wider Erwarten recht lecker. Der Salat sogar hervorragend. Nun denn.

Warten warten warten... Ziemlich teuer, nicht kundenorientierte Personal und zum bezahlen sollten wir rein sonst würde es"noch länger dauern " rückgeld würde einfach einbehalten und auf Anfrage der rausgabe kam noch n dämlicher Kommentar... 2x mies, nie wieder

Licht und Schatten. Wir haben zwei Mal dort gegessen. Das erste Mal war es ganz hervorragend. Meine Lammhaxe war ein Gedicht, auch die Beilagen perfekt. Das zweite Mal war zum Vergessen. Aufgewärmte Kartoffeln und Welker Salat sind ein absolutes No Go

Essen, Trinken und Location ganz gut. Leider ist der Service überfordert. Zum späteren Abend hin wurde er besser. Was mir noch nachträglich aufgefallen ist: Es stehen von vornherein keine Aschenbecher auf dem Tisch. Sehr gut!!! Ich finde es nämlich sehr unangenehm, als Nichtraucher so ein Abfallgefäß vor die Nase gesetzt zu bekommen.

Heute unangenehme Situation erlebt: mussten etwa 5 min am Eingang warten, so dass sich eine Schlange von 10 Personen bildete. Eine junge Servicekraft sah dies und wollte die Schlange auflösen und auch die Lucaapp erklären, wurde dabei vor den Gästen von einem älteren Kollegen zusammengestaucht, was er da machen würde. Gäste wurden von dem Ober abgefertigt, schade…eigentlich nettes Essen und Ambiente. Trotzdem muss sich der Service vor den Gästen im Griff haben. Update Ich war hier vor zwei Jahren gewesen und habe eine Bewertung abgegeben. Nun bekommen ich und andere die Aufforderung dies zu belegen da systematisch schlechtere Bewertungen angemahnt und unter Behauptung „Fakeaccount“ zur Löschung aufgefordert werden. Einfach Service verbessern!

Essen ist wirklich lecker, bloß am Service hadert es ein wenig.

Schönes Ambiente am Klostergelände Wöltingerode mit ausreichenden Parkmöglichkeiten. Unbedingt das große Klostergelände mit Park, Hofladen und kleinem Museum besichtigen. Bei schönem Wetter großer Biergarten mit altem Baumbestand vorhanden. Zum Essen und Trinken findet bestimmt jeder was auf der Karte. Zu empfehlen ist eine rechtzeitige Reservierung. Per Mail hat es hervorragend funktioniert. Eine positive Antwort kam umgehend. Alles in allem, wirklich zu Empfehlen.
