We stayed at the Walpurgishof for 5 days and really enjoyed it. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is modern and has a large shower. The furniture is in good condition and the daily cleaning was thorough. The breakfast is terrific and the buffet in the evening, which is included in the half board, is tasty and of good quality. The drink prices are generally average. The wellness area is small but sufficient. The entire team is friendly and attentive. All in all - a nice holiday 👍🏼🙂

We stayed there for 3 nights and are unfortunately a bit disappointed because we expected more based on the reviews. But from the beginning. Reception was very nice, we had a suite which also had a modern bathroom, but the old carpet in the room was no longer up to date. In general it was very warm at night despite normal temperatures, the bed was very hard (but everyone feels it differently) and the hotel was generally very noisy, meaning you heard knocking everywhere late in the evening, probably on the doors. Breakfast was ok with freshly made eggs, scrambled eggs and fried eggs, but the selection of sausage and cheese could have been varied, unfortunately it was the same every morning. Now to the 2 main criticisms. 1. the dinner was on the level of a canteen, absolutely nothing more and nothing less. Roast pork ok, the sauce lacked love. In the following evenings there were different fish and meat dishes, but everything felt like it was in a tasteless roux/cream sauce. Sorry, but I cook better and expect more from a 4 star hotel. The service staff needs to be better trained in the content of the dishes and wine selection. Unfortunately, the spa area was extremely unloving and we didn't want to stay there. Apart from a water dispenser there was nothing, no fruit, no tea or any kind of feel-good factor. In conclusion, we certainly both have quite high expectations, but we can also ignore the little things. You can book the hotel for one night, but unfortunately we weren't satisfied for 3 nights. There is a lot of room for improvement here.

Having a hard time understanding how this hotel can carry 4 stars....in addition, the rooms - decor, equipment and quality are too poor. The food on site is mediocre at best. Much of what is served is probably German standard - tasteless and boring.

Hans Thorup and Retchie . I and my partner check in 12.July - 16.July 2024. The room is good ,clean and great. The staff at the kitchen are very polite and helpful, they are very nice and approached you and greet, I am comfortable when I came inside every breakfast and dinner because they are accomodated. The food is okay ⭐⭐ but I guess the chef must taste the food because most of the food in dinner was no taste( other are okay) Staff service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars for the staff only in the kitchen they are very good. The old man at the bar who is serving drinks ⭐ 1 star . The old man who is look like a middle eastern look, he is a bit tall , and he is entertaining bad. He showed bad attitude when we finished our dinner and would like to pay the drinks, I understand that he is busy of other guest but as guest we dont have to wait for 15-30 minutes sitting when he come to collect our payment. My partner come to kitchen and he paid there but the old man came and say " You should pay for me not in the kitchen because I am the one who served the drinks" Hello,is he crazy? If he cannot accomodate all the guest he must ask for help for his co-worker , and if he is tired he must stop working and relax. We are guest and every second and minutes are important for us as tourist not by sitting at the table and waiting for a long time.He is very unpolite and I saw his face and his head saying bad. The staff at the reception are very friendly so ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for them. The massage staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ is good. But,hoping every summer you have an extra electric fan becausw it is really hot in the room. Guest cannot sleep so good. The bar tender the small old man he is very kind ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Nice hotel with very good service. Breakfast and dinner are good, constantly replenished. Unfortunately, there were 2 guests with a "yapper" - a dog you can't say - who were present and he knocked loudly around the restaurant. And there was no intervention. I don't understand why such troublemakers aren't kicked out or dogs are generally banned from restaurants.

I can't say much about the rooms as I was only here to eat. That was mediocre. The operation was adjusted. Maybe it was due to the great heat we were experiencing these days.

We booked the hotel using a mydays voucher and were very excited! Clean and nice room, delicious breakfast and good dinner. The location was very nice & quiet. The bus connection was also great. Wellness area also very clean and beautifully designed! We would love to come back again.

Good value for money, central location, but still quiet. Many hiking trails start right in front of the hotel. Rooms were modernly furnished, there was a kind of walk-in closet and a nice large bathroom. Would love to come back.

Thanks to the staff, our mini-vacation became a very nice experience. Even small wishes were lovingly fulfilled. Even the cleaners have a few kind words for you. The suite was clean and fully equipped a plus is the great view of the cherry which has a unique chime. The restaurant has a good selection with very good quality. No problems when mentioning lactose intolerance and allergies. Please try the Green Witch, it is simply delicious.

The hotel is a historic house and has been renovated a lot, but a lot could still be done to really reach the expected **** standard, for example the balconies. But everything is very clean. The breakfast is bomb. Everything you could wish for. Likewise the evening buffet. Soup, salads in 6 variations, large cheese variations, antipasti, and and and, two main courses, fish and meat, seasonal fresh vegetables, potato varieties, everything is always replenished. Dessert, ice cream, different types of fruit, different treats. A la carte food...very good. All in all, highly recommended. Very friendly service and, given the size of the hotel, unexpectedly familiar. Bus transport (free with spa card) 5 minutes walk away. Pure relaxation

Very neatly run house! Rooms all clean, tidy and well maintained! The disadvantage for me was that the food was lukewarm because it wasn't kept warm all the time in closed containers and the next morning we couldn't use the same tables with our tour group as before! Other guests had sat down in the area where we were staying as a group! Therefore 1 point deducted! Otherwise, super friendly and courteous staff! All facilities such as sauna and swimming pool can be used free of charge! Towels and bathrobes are already in the rooms for the guests!

We had a wonderful short vacation in Goslar Hahnenklee! You don't even need a car and you can explore the surrounding area with the free bus! The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired and is in a very well-maintained condition. We felt very comfortable!

We had a nice long weekend. We really liked the service, rooms and spa area. The breakfast was great and more than enough to find something for everyone. The evening buffet was varied and delicious. Thanks to the whole team ☀

I'm thrilled with the hotel and the whole place, Hahnenklee, just great and really well attended.

The room was fine, a small refrigerator should be in there and there is no shelf space in the bathroom. The staff is very friendly, breakfast and dinner were good and sufficient. The bar is highly recommended. The spa area is fine.

Restaurant a la carte: Well-kept atmosphere, but the kitchen is a disappointment.

Mr. Rotterberg, the hotel manager, Ms. Felice, are very pleasant and polite people. The service staff is also very pleasant and deserves respect for their work!!! What bothered me is Mr. Böttcher, who is very unfriendly, arrogant and cheeky!! But otherwise the Walpurgishof is always a very pleasant place for us to relax

Good and nice restaurant in a central location. There are tasty dishes, good service and all of this for Hahnenklee in the upper price segment. But there is also a meal that is worth this price. Continuous kitchen!

We had a wonderful weekend with you. The food is 1a. Employees all very friendly. Spa and wellness area is super nice. A whirlpool would be perfect. The massage was also very relaxing. The only star is deducted because the room is very noisy but nicely furnished. We will be back!

Time out in the Harz We liked it here. Helpful, competent staff. No wish remained unfulfilled. Would love to come back. At breakfast and dinner the selection was very plentiful and varied. It was constantly being refilled. There were two meal times, 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., so it wasn't overcrowded. SPA area invites you to relax.

The staff alone makes it worth eating there. Rarely have we been so positively surprised and pleasantly excited. Fast, recommended and polite. The food is very good and moderately priced. The entire ambience is inviting and fits between conservative and modern. Overall, five stars are not enough!

A great hotel for a vacation. It is very quiet and looks beautiful. In this house, guest service is very important. Starting with the two ladies at the reception and the service in the restaurant. All employees deserve at least 5 stars. The food was more than plentiful and was always refilled in a timely manner. The kitchen even went to the trouble of making cabbage rolls fresh for dinner. Although the house was well booked. I think it was something like that, I've never had anything like that in a hotel before. All in all, we would like to see each other there again.

Great hotel with delicious food in the restaurant and a great breakfast with everything your heart desires. But what we particularly liked was the extremely friendly and accommodating staff... at the reception, in the restaurant and especially in the bar! We felt very comfortable this weekend. The hotel also has a great spa area (with pool, steam sauna, Finnish sauna, infrared cabin and pool with counter-current system for swimming). The hotel is super centrally located and all great hikes can start here.

A nice area even if you don't like mountains. Unfortunately, there was no brine pool and the wellness area with sauna was missing an outdoor area! Food was good! 😊 7

Good starting point for excursions

We stayed at the Walpurgishof for the second time and felt very comfortable. The employees were extremely friendly. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely fine. The rooms are well-equipped, clean and cozy. Since our room had a connecting door to the family room, it was okay. It would have bothered us if we were strangers because it made the sound quite noisy.

This was our second time at Walpurgishof and we had a really nice time! The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are very nice! The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant are excellent! We will come back soon!

I've been there twice for a week each and it was perfect. The hotel is within walking distance of everything worth seeing in Hahnenklee and is also a good starting point for hikes. The rooms are well-equipped and always clean, the food is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. Big recommendation.

We only went for dinner, it was great, we can only recommend it. My children were there for one night and they were also very satisfied.

We were there on a weekend and had a very nice stay. The food is A1, there was only one small negative point in that area. Unfortunately the warm buffet was a bit too cold. Rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. I really liked the treatments (massage + peeling).

I booked at short notice in January and can only say: direct hit! Great, warm staff, from the moment you book, the welcome, the service in the restaurant and the wellness area. Everywhere. Rooms are very tidy and large enough and have a balcony. The room for me with a dog had a hard floor - great for hygiene. Overall, everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Great little wellness area in a modern design, very well maintained. The swimming pool is sufficient for a few strokes. Two saunas, an infrared cabin, nice relaxation area. I had booked a massage: very pleasant and in beautiful surroundings. Last but not least: varied, good breakfast buffet (sufficiently stocked until the end!). All in all, it was a great package and the price-performance ratio is really good. I can only say a big thank you again and I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Unbelievable, we had NOTHING to complain about! Everything just fits here. Very nice staff, the wellness treatments were great, nice sauna and pool! And the room spectacular with a view of the church!

Great short vacation with many positive experiences. Whether spontaneous or planned...great area to explore and experience. Hotel itself is simply great. Every evening in the sauna after the cold days... wonderful. Staff friendly and attentive.

Wir waren, insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund einiger Rezessionen, super positiv überrascht. Der Service überall freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Der Sparbereich schön und man durfte selbst aufgießen (Düfte nicht vorhanden), es ist auch eine Eismaschine da. Die Gegend mega gut zum Wandern! Wir waren mit unserem Hund hier und er durfte sogar mit ins Restaurant. Das Essen: Super lecker und riesige Portionen! Vier Gänge am Abend serviert von einem lustigen Kellner, der seine Arbeit gerne macht. Auch das Frühstück ließ nichts vermissen. Frisch zubereitete Pfannkuchen oder Ei, frisches Obst, Hausmacher Wurst, Kaffeeautomat usw. usf. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir haben vier Tage in dem schönen Hotel verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Alle Mitarbeiter sind uns freundlich begegnet, sowohl an der Rezeption, als auch beim Frühstücksservice. Beim Frühstück haben wir nichts vermisst und alles war reichlich vorhanden und wurde ständig aufgefüllt. Halbpension hatten wir nicht, daher kann ich das Essen natürlich nicht beurteilen. Im Vorbeigehen sah aber alles sehr reichhaltig und ansprechend aus. (Buffet). Einmal haben wir im Restaurant gegessen und auch dort war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Das Essen war lecker und der Herr, der uns bediente zuvorkommend und freundlich. Der Poolbereich ist sehr geschmackvoll angelegt und absolut sauber, das Wasser angenehm temperiert und die Gegenstromanlage macht Spaß. Ich würde das Hotel meinen Freunden empfehlen. Einzig im Badezimmer könnte es zwei Haken mehr zum Aufhängen der Handtücher geben.

Schönes Hotel mit Wellness Bereich.

Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer und der Spa Bereich sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, jedoch ist das Abendessen (Halbpension) nicht zu empfehlen! Es war wenig abwechslungsreich und leider auch nicht ausreichend. Dort ist noch Verbesserungsbedarf. Die Cocktails in der Lounge waren gut und das Ambiente modern.

Wir waren jetzt zum dritten Mal im Walpurgishof und es hat uns wieder einmal sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind immer super sauber und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Das Essen ist der Wahnsinn. Reichlich Auswahl und für jeden was dabei. Wir werden bestimmt im Sommer wieder unseren Urlaub dort verbringen.

Zimmer war ein wenig klein aber ansonsten war alles sehr schön und echt zu empfehlen
