Hotel Restaurant Walpurgishof in Goslar

This hotel doesn't meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. While everything is clean, some items are showing their age or renovations aren't fully completed (like the window frames). Breakfast is adequate, enough to get by. However, dinner is a complete disaster. On two out of three evenings, the food wasn't even cafeteria-quality. I don't eat food that bland and tasteless in our cafeterias. And when you see the price, you're speechless (you can get a steak for that elsewhere). The selection is also very limited. Oh, and don't criticize every single employee at reception. They're generally very friendly, but some can be downright rude.

It's always lovely at Walpurgishof. Right on the doorstep in the woods. The team always takes excellent care of us. You immediately feel at home.

We had a two-day meeting there. Everything was clean, and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent hospitality. The spa area is definitely worth experiencing, with its pool, sauna, and massages. There's also a nice restaurant with fair prices.

A lovely, cozy hotel in a fantastic location, perfect for hiking and relaxing. The food is incredibly delicious and very varied. There are many ways to visit Goslar, such as the Christmas market. We took the bus and received tickets from the hotel. Just show them and off you go. The whole area is especially beautiful when there's snow. Unfortunately, we didn't have any. Nevertheless, we hiked to Boxberg and had a great time. We would definitely come back again next year.

We spent a girls' weekend at the Walpurgishof! The food was excellent, with a delicious and varied breakfast and dinner buffet! The room was very clean, beautiful, spacious, and cozy, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was stylish and large! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the foot massage was fantastic, as was our aromatherapy bath! The spa area was also very nice; the pool could perhaps have been a bit warmer, but that's really nitpicking! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, and we will definitely be back! Keep up the great work, you're a fantastic team!

Beautiful hotel with a great room arrangement. Great bar and an inviting spa area. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. One of the evening staff members was very unpleasant; he didn't know how to wait tables and instead complained about why he needed a wrist cuff. He even told us that our espresso was warm while the accompanying water was cold. Unbelievable. He constantly harassed the guests. The other staff member was the complete opposite, especially an older gentleman who looked after us wonderfully until late in the evening. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied. The evening buffet was average. Unfortunately, à la carte dining wasn't available. All in all, though, it's recommendable, even if it's not exactly cheap.

There's good bus service and beautiful hiking trails. The lift and gondola were closed for maintenance during our stay, but that's understandable. There are plenty of other ways to spend your day. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Even the initial phone booking with Ms. Harting was incredibly pleasant and piqued our interest in the hotel. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. There's a spa area with two saunas, a swimming pool, a relaxation room, and more. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. The same applies to the rooms and the dining room. We booked half-board and wanted to be surprised. This decision was absolutely perfect. The food was excellent, varied, and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the quality has declined. We've been there five times already, but it no longer meets four-star standards. This time, our room was very outdated. The spa area has also deteriorated. We booked a weekend there to treat ourselves to a massage. Upon arrival, we were very rudely informed in the spa area that there were no more appointments available, as only one person is available for massages at the hotel, and they don't offer massages on Sundays. This is disappointing, as weekends are typically used for wellness breaks. When I also pointed out that the counter-current system in the pool wasn't working, I was simply told it hadn't been working for a long time. Towels were also only changed reluctantly. Breakfast was okay. I'm used to much better and more extensive breakfasts there. Dinner was a disaster. Very little choice at the buffet. Practically only one dish. Half of the salad bar was clearly no longer edible. For example, the corn had changed color and tasted accordingly. I mentioned it, and the next evening, the corn was exactly the same. The bread from breakfast was dry or ice-cold straight from the fridge. For an evening buffet in a 4-star hotel, which they charge a premium for, that's a complete disaster. I'm not used to it being like that there; it used to be different. Other hotels offer significantly more. The only positive thing I can say is that the service staff is friendly and tries their best. I think that was the last time.

Overall, a clean and nice hotel!! However, in my opinion, the hotel only has 3 stars. The balcony was poorly equipped – no table, no seat covers for the chairs. The room didn't have coffee making facilities or a kettle. The TV was too small. The real highlight was the buffet; for €29.50 per person, it wasn't bad, but it was substandard. Rice, one fish dish, and one pepper dish. The breakfast was a standout, which was 4 stars. Not enough for a 4-star hotel.

My cousin and I visited the hotel over the weekend and were very impressed. The rooms were clean, and there were plenty of towels. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Lunch and dinner, as well as the drinks (cocktails), were also very tasty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool in the wellness area could be a few degrees Celsius warmer. 🤣 But once you've warmed up, it's fine. The massages were great and relaxing. The hotel's location is also perfect; you can hike directly to the Bocksberg mountain, and there's a beautiful lake with a playground nearby. We'd love to come back!

Excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet offers a sufficient variety of everything your heart desires. Dinner was also served buffet-style. The menu was balanced and offered plenty of choice for everyone. The hotel room is very well-maintained, and the shower was large enough for even two people. Every day was rewarded with a magnificent view of the landscape and the stave church. The massages offered were relaxing, and the staff's professionalism was palpable. In conclusion, the hotel is highly recommended.

The hotel is well-suited as a hiking hotel. The wellness area is small and not really suited for a wellness experience. The overall facilities are of a standard standard. The only negative aspect was that there was no refrigerator or tea or coffee-making facilities in the room. It's not up to date these days. The service was OK. Unfortunately, the chef prepared dinner with inedible spices, which have no place in German cuisine. It's a shame...they should at least have informed guests beforehand.

A modern and comfortable hotel with a lovely wellness area. The breakfast was really good, with one minor drawback: the fruit juice was a bit diluted, which shouldn't be the case in a 4-star hotel.

We've been coming to the Walpugishof for many years and have witnessed many changes during that time. There's a lovely little spa and a fantastic bar. The kitchen offers a delicious menu, and the service is always super friendly. Of course, something does occasionally break in the lovingly furnished rooms. A quick report to the friendly receptionist will find a solution. The surrounding area is fantastic. Pure nature, with plenty of leisure activities and sightseeing opportunities on the Boxberg and in nearby medieval Goslar.

A superb hotel for a vacation. It's very quiet and beautiful. Customer service is a top priority at this hotel. From the two ladies at reception to the service in the restaurant, all the staff deserve at least 5 stars. The food was more than plentiful and was always refilled on time. The kitchen even went to the trouble of making fresh cabbage rolls for dinner, even though the hotel was fully booked. I think there were around 100 of them; I've never had anything like that in any other hotel. All in all, we'd love to see you there again.

We had a wonderful family reunion here over the weekend. Great, modern rooms, very friendly, helpful staff, beautiful dining room with a fantastic, varied breakfast and dinner buffet. We would love to come back next year.

Short break, 3 days, at this highly recommended (!) hotel. Very reasonable prices. The reception, rooms, wellness area, breakfast, and restaurant (separate if you don't book half board...as we did) were all excellent (the food was a bit pricey, but it was more than worth it). The evening visit to the bar, service, and cocktails were also fantastic!

We stayed at the Hotel Walpurgishof as a couple with our dog for one night in September. The location is great, between the Stave Church, Liebesbankweg, the spa gardens, and the pedestrian zone, where the gondola valley station is located. Parking is free at the hotel. The hotel is winding, so you have to get your bearings. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. The room was clean, with a modern indoor bathroom, a great large closet with lighting, and a balcony overlooking the pedestrian zone. The bed was very comfortable. There's a small pool and a nice wellness area with a sauna and steam bath. Unfortunately, the counter-current system and ice dispenser weren't working. In the evening, we ate at the hotel's own restaurant, "Schwarzer Kater." The staff were friendly and attentive, the food delicious, and reasonably priced. The winter garden is a great place to sit, and our dog was even allowed in there. The breakfast buffet was varied, with fresh egg dishes, coffee specialties, fresh fruit, pancakes, and more. We would especially like to praise the staff! Everyone was truly friendly and accommodating, and they were very flexible with our extras! Thank you so much – we'd love to come back and would definitely recommend the hotel!

If you're looking for a home in the Harz region, then you've come to the right place. The people who work here love their jobs, and you can see that throughout the hotel: service, hospitality, friendliness, the rooms are comfortable, and children are not only welcome but treated with great care. This wasn't our first time here, and yes, we'll be back. And if something breaks, the hotel is certainly not to blame and will fix it as quickly as possible, given the hard-to-find tradesmen and spare parts.

We came straight from another 4* hotel and unfortunately had to notice a few differences. The food on the whole was solid buffet fare but not 4*. I would have expected a minibar or a refrigerator or even a water or coffee maker in the room. The pillowcases should have matched the pillows and the booked terrace/balcony was really an imposition. Only separated from the sidewalk and street by simple Bauhaus palisades on the ground floor. Sorry, but I can't offer that in a 4* hotel. Sitting there and relaxing... never ever. The hallway carpet was dirty and stained, the door frames scratched. But there are also positive effects which show that the hotel is being renovated in various stages. The bathroom in the room was relatively new and modern. The same applies to the entire wellness area. We particularly liked the bar and the associated seating. Nice ambience to end the day. All in all, though, I would currently give the hotel 3*.

The location is perfect, right on the Bocksberg. I generally book hotels with 4 stars or higher, and unfortunately, the Walpurgishof didn't impress me. The hotel is showing its age and could use some renovations here and there. The breakfast and wellness area were okay. The dinner didn't come close to my idea of ​​a 4-star hotel and reminded me of cafeteria food. About the booking: I booked through Kurz-mal-Weg and paid, so far so good. Then, on the day of departure, the hotel billed me again at the same price. After I pointed this out, they apologized and corrected the bill. However, I was charged twice for the flowers. But I don't care anymore. In short: If you're looking for a hotel directly on the Bocksberg and just want a good night's sleep and breakfast, this is the right place. Nothing more, nothing less.

We had a wonderful weekend with the family to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. The rooms were clean and beautiful, with balconies or terraces, and located next to each other, as we wished. We had a small, separate dining room for our family in the restaurant (7 adults, 4 children, and 1 dog), and the table was beautifully decorated, which we were delighted with. The breakfast and dinner buffets were very extensive and delicious. All our wishes were fulfilled, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a playroom for the children in the basement, which they enjoyed. Thank you for the great time; we felt at home.

**Unfortunately disappointing – not recommended** The Hotel Walpurgishof is beautifully located in the village, but doesn't offer any special views. We had booked three double rooms, which were decently sized. However, upon closer inspection, numerous defects were revealed. Cleaning was only done every two days – according to the hotel, for environmental reasons. During our stay, however, it became clear that this was probably more of a cost-saving measure. The breakfast and dinner buffets were unfortunately a major disappointment. Refills took a very long time or weren't served at all. The quality of the food was more reminiscent of a poorly prepared cafeteria. One of the main reasons for our booking was the wellness offerings. However, hardly any of them were available on-site. A small, ice-cold 3x3 meter pool was the only thing that worked. The saunas were reportedly temporarily out of service – however, according to several reviews, this problem seems to have existed for some time. The dust on the switched-off saunas confirmed this impression. We had booked five full-body massages, each lasting 50 minutes. None of the massages reached this time – they lasted between 15 and a maximum of 30 minutes. The treatments themselves were disappointing. This is an absolute disgrace. **Conclusion:** It seems that this hotel is only being run to maximize its profits before it falls into complete disrepair. For us, clearly: **No recommendation.**

Absolutely amazing place. The town is wonderful. The hotel itself awesome. The best shower I ever found in a hotel. Super good breakfast, and delicious dinner!!! We will definitely come back for a longer stay.

The 4 stars deserve to be reviewed. I can only report on room 230. It was clean and functionally furnished. But the balcony: the paint on the ceiling was peeling, and the balcony railing could also use a coat of paint. Stalagmites hung from the ceiling. They'll probably be lit up at some point, then they'll become little fairy grottoes. There were two chairs, but a small table or a folding table would have been great. The staff were always friendly. Breakfast and dinner were varied and good.

As a dog owner, you get two single beds in the room, see picture. It feels like you have a separate area with only dog rooms, as you have to walk all over the place to get to the room. The room is okay, which isn't so nice when it's not very clean and there are hairs here and there, for example, on the bedspread. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned before. There's only one power outlet by the bed, which also bothered us. The breakfast selection varies; we had salmon and bacon on Sunday. I'm a dog owner myself, but I wouldn't even consider feeding my dog at the breakfast buffet. I saw a man discreetly try to feed his dog food from his plate, and he kept petting him in between meals. Personally, I don't think that's very nice, and I think people know not to do that. I approached the waitress at the restaurant and asked if that was okay. The woman said she was okay and said she would take care of it and speak to the man. The next day, I thought there would be no consequences, but in vain, because I saw the man who went into the restaurant with his dog again. When I saw them, I lost my appetite. If you're looking for a hotel that doesn't place too much emphasis on hygiene, then this is the right place for you. The hotel's location is good, though; there's nothing to criticize.

The hotel is truly beautiful. Sitting at the bar in the evening and relaxing with a gin and tonic was one of our highlights. The breakfast was always very good and plentiful. We ran a little overtime at breakfast, but it wasn't a problem. The ladies were very polite and let us finish our coffee. The staff was super nice! Why this hotel has four stars is a mystery to me. It's really very, very old and spartanly furnished. The walkway to the rooms is really awful, and so is the terrace. The man at the reception at least acts as if we were the first guests to check in, and we asked the man down at the pool how to turn on the counter-current system, but he just said he didn't know his way around. Even though we booked with a child, there were no towels for the child.

Overall good hotel, our room was very spacious and otherwise tip top. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Clientele at least generally 50+. Breakfast too poor for a 4* hotel. Hardly any fresh vegetables, very limited muesli bar, hardly any sliced ​​fresh fruit, only 2 types of cheese... We only ate once in the restaurant: asparagus. It was still quite hard, the potatoes were at least from the previous evening and quite overpriced.

Unfortunately the sauna was broken! Got a 5% discount on the total amount. It wasn't enough for us because we wanted to go to the sauna. That's why we left (paid for 1 day) and took a chalet in Hahnenklee.

The thing I missed was a refrigerator in the room.

Room and food (booked half board) were to our satisfaction. The breakfast in particular had a very generous selection. I only used the hairdryer in the room once in 4 days, a standard small travel hairdryer. I have to particularly emphasize the commitment of the staff. I had special requests in advance because it was my partner's birthday and without exception, all decorations and gifts were prepared in the room. The landlord spoke to us almost every day and was very courteous, humorous and friendly. One of the two saunas didn't work, but we only used it for one day anyway or visited a thermal spa in the area. Overall, we had a very nice short vacation full of relaxation.

Unfortunately the stay was not enjoyable. The staff (especially the lady working in the restaurant) did not allow us to sit for breakfast at the table we had chosen, arguing that it is for 4 people (we were in 3), after a while at the table sat 2 people. The room itself and the hotel equipment is also far from the standard of 4 stars, the price in our opinion is too high and certainly you can find better offers in the area.

The hotel is very nicely located, right next to the forest and next to the stave church. However, it is unclear how the hotel got four stars. The rooms and hallways are in need of renovation, there is no refrigerator in the room, our hairdryer burned through the first time we used it and BOTH saunas failed. The latter was not communicated to the guests either, so some of them stood in front of the sauna door in confusion. The hotel staff is not particularly committed, you get the impression that you are a nuisance. The breakfast is also not special for a four star hotel. The coffee machine broke and the jams became less and less day by day. We will definitely not visit the hotel again.

We stayed at the Hotel Walpurgishof for four nights (March 6-10). The reception was very friendly, and we were delighted to receive a free upgrade (to a suite). Breakfast and dinner were served buffet-style. Both were very extensive and delicious. The entire staff was always very friendly and attentive. The wellness area lived up to the hotel description and was very clean. Only the sauna could have been a bit warmer. All in all, we can recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Very centrally located hotel with a small pool and an almost intimate spa area. It's worth noting that there's an arbitrary discount for the spa area. Even though it's only €3.50, I found it rather petty for a 4-star hotel. There are settlement cracks in the rooms on the third floor. No mention of a squeaky toilet door was noticed... The guest is king.... Still, all in all, recommended. Centrally located, and the sauna and pool are okay.

We stayed at the hotel from January 19th, 2025 to January 23rd, 2025. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Big praise to the staff in the restaurant and kitchen!!!! Unfortunately, I can't give the location a 5 star because the sidewalks in town were folded up when we were there. If you like it... We really liked the spa and sauna area. 3 saunas and an indoor pool helped us pass the time in the afternoon. The connection to public transport is positive. As a guest, these can be used free of charge.

Nice break in the mountains in a well-kept middle-class hotel with a spacious wellness area

We were here over Christmas but the menu in the evening didn't work at all, it would have to be organized differently so that the guests don't have to wait so long between the individual courses. And then one more thing, we as guests paid exactly as much as any regular guests who were always the first to be served and thus messed up the whole process. Breakfast was always great as was the staff.

A big thank you this time to the entire Walpurgishof team. It's always nice with them. We were again extremely satisfied in all categories. Top service, top food and top rooms. We say thumbs up and look forward to next year.

We were here with our dog and he was even allowed into the restaurant. The food: Super tasty and huge portions! Four courses in the evening served by a funny waiter who enjoys his job. Breakfast didn't miss anything either. Freshly prepared pancakes or eggs, fresh fruit, home-made sausage, coffee machine, etc. etc. We will definitely be back! So, about a year later, there again, four nights. Everything as before, everyone was super nice, helpful and always looking out for our well-being. We also felt very comfortable during our third visit to the Walpurgishof over New Year's Eve. The staff was polite and accommodating, breakfast was very good, dinner was okay overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a note about the rather narrow bed would have been nice. Nevertheless, we had a relaxing holiday and will definitely come back.

The breakfast, however, was completely different: it was excellent, varied and of high quality – a clear bright spot during our stay. A big annoyance was the unannounced weekend surcharge of €10 per person, which was only charged on site. (We booked through Jochen Schweizer and they suggested a different price to us). With a price of around €178 for one night in a double room, the offer was overall overpriced. For this amount you would expect significantly more comfort and quality.

We had a really nice little break at the Walpurgishof. Very friendly and service-oriented staff. Everything is modern, tastefully and comfortably furnished. Food and drinks were delicious and prepared with love. Sauna and swimming pool made the lovely stay complete. We'll definitely be back. Thank you very much and see you soon family Karbach

At night the glass door of the bathroom is a bit disturbing as the light penetrates into the room and disturbs light sleepers. The principle of opening the patio door takes some getting used to and requires strength.

Had a wonderful stay from Thursday to Sunday in Nov. 2024. Friendly staff, cozy hotel and nice rooms and nice spa department. Beautiful location and in good driving distance to most things. The food was tasty. Can be highly recommended.

The hotel itself is quite nice. The room is great. We also received a very warm welcome. Unfortunately, the rest of the service is terribly bad. Day 1 - Arrival: - warm welcome - No cups in the spa, so no possibility to drink anything. - The staff in the restaurant were very annoyed and overwhelmed in the evening. Drinks are not included in the half board prices. We didn't get our drinks until dessert. The buffet was opened very slowly and questions were answered very rudely. DAY 2: - In the spa the drinks dispenser was empty, this time there were cups but no water. Ultimately, the drinks dispenser was filled up by the hotel guests using the steam room hose. - I asked for a massage at the spa and received a very annoyed answer. I wasn't even told when the next available appointment was. In retrospect, I heard from other hotel guests that the massage was more like stroking and was therefore not recommended. - Unfortunately we had another bad experience at dinner. Once again the small buffet was not properly stocked and the food was only lukewarm. There is almost nothing for vegetarians. The vegetables are definitely frozen. Unfortunately, my girlfriend felt sick all evening after eating and spent the night on the toilet. DAY 3: - The service at breakfast was significantly better, although some items were empty and not refilled. - Our towels were taken away by room service and unfortunately no new ones were left. Unfortunately, the reception was not staffed, so it was an effort to get new sauna towels. - The drinks dispenser was empty again - At dinner we were told that we were late, even though we were there at the scheduled times. After an annoyed look and a stupid comment, we were still allowed to sit down. All in all, almost every contact with the service or non-existent service was not good. Unfortunately, this had a (somewhat) negative impact on our long girls' weekend. At least we heard an apology when we checked out. Still, it doesn't make the weekend any better and €600 is definitely too much for this service. Due to the daily negative contacts, we unfortunately cannot give the hotel a better rating. This does not correspond to a four star hotel. Unfortunately I can only advise against it.

We were there for two days last weekend. Everything was actually fine, except that the massages we had booked were canceled two days beforehand. Due to illness. Since we noticed on site that massages had been carried out, we were very disappointed. We had a honey bubble bath instead. Which unfortunately wasn't comparable to the pictures on the website. Because it was designed to be very dreary and not romantic. Neither candles nor rose petals.

We'll be back! This is our conclusion after a wellness weekend among women. As soon as I arrived at the reception I felt very comfortable and the reception staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There was also no lack of humor. We had a very stylishly furnished room with a daylight bathroom and balcony. We felt very comfortable there and had a good night's sleep. The view of nature was a dream. The restaurant is also very stylishly decorated and the staff is first class. All dishes were warm and very tasty. There was a large selection at both the breakfast and dinner buffets and the food was always refilled. On the first evening I would have liked a small vegetarian delicacy as an alternative to salmon and roulade. Apart from that, there was no lack of provision for special wishes or needs such as lactose-free milk, oat milk or gluten-free food. We were able to have a really good time in the wellness area. Pool, sauna, steam sauna and relaxation area make your wellness heart beat faster. Only the water could have been a little warmer to relax. Variety was also found in the various adventure showers. Also worth highlighting is the special commitment of the employee from the wellness area, who provided relaxing massages despite the absence of staff. The hotel is beautifully located, you can enjoy various natural offerings in the surrounding area. Many thanks to the entire staff, I noticed how much love and commitment this hotel is run with. Special thanks to Sister Steffanie, you are a wonderful soul and are not lacking in humor and good mood!

The Hotel Walpurgishof is located in beautiful Hahnenklee below the Bocksberg and the Staves Church. A really wonderful location with a great view. The price is in the upper middle segment, I got an upgrade to a junior suite and had breakfast with me. As far as I can tell, the rooms have a balcony/terrace and my room was functionally well equipped. A few points that I didn't like so much: - The reception was often unmanned for a while, a sign was put up to ask the restaurant if you have any urgent questions. I had an urgent query about parking (there was nothing left) and was told in the restaurant that I had to wait until reception was back. However, I was in a no-parking zone there. Well, reception didn't come for about 5 minutes and then I left again and parked in the large parking lot upstairs. - The room is nice. However, the carpet is no longer so clean and the bathroom floors are not attractive in the corners and grooves of the tiles. I had a few larger cobwebs in the corners of the room, but otherwise it's okay. There was no minibar/fridge available to store your own food. And unfortunately the drain in the shower smelled a bit. - I visited the sauna 3 times at different times. It was totally dry. The guests made the infusion themselves. It would also be nice if there had been some scent or something similar. - The black cat, the attached restaurant, has a small and fine menu, with proud prices - like everywhere else in the corner. The choice for me as a veggie wasn't particularly large, so it was the veggiburger. Unfortunately it was nothing, and some of the fries were also limp. The bun was totally tough and could hardly be cut. And the patty with vegetables didn't taste like much either. It was a little better than other surrounding restaurants.

A perfect stay Our stay at the Hotel Walpurgishof was simply fantastic and exceeded our expectations in every respect. From arrival to departure we were treated to exceptional service and warm hospitality. The hotel itself impressed with an elegant but cozy atmosphere. Our room was modern yet stylishly furnished, with great attention to detail that ensured absolute comfort. We had a room with a daylight bathroom. The view from the balcony of the surrounding nature was a beautiful addition and created a relaxing atmosphere. The food was a culinary highlight: every morning a rich and fresh breakfast buffet awaited us, which left nothing to be desired. In the evening we were also treated to a multi-course buffet, which not only impressed with the taste but also with the creativity and quality of the ingredients. The kitchen definitely deserves high praise! The wellness area was a true oasis of relaxation. The sauna area and pool area were perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Particularly noteworthy are the various wellness offers; we used the massage, which was simply fantastic. The staff was always friendly, attentive and very helpful. No matter whether there were questions about the surroundings or small extra requests - every wish was fulfilled with a smile and the team clearly tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The area around the hotel, especially the Bocksberg, offered numerous opportunities for outdoor activities. After a relaxing morning at the hotel, we enjoyed a lovely trip up the mountain and into the town. There we were able to experience the beauty of nature up close. Overall, our stay at the Walpurgishof was perfect. We felt warmly welcome and were able to unwind. We will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and warm stay.

Location great. Rooms are a bit noisy. Overall very clean. Breakfast was okay.

Unfortunately, dinner was a complete disappointment. The great breakfast and the friendly reception couldn't make up for this overall impression. I would have expected something different from a 4 star hotel and €500 for 2 nights.

The hotel is in a great location and everything is within walking distance: chair lift, bike rental, restaurants or perfect as a starting point for hiking. The staff is super friendly and always tries hard. There is plenty of parking behind the hotel or a large free public car park. There is a small pool and a separate sauna area with a steam room, an infrared sauna and a normal sauna.

Nice hotel, very little to criticize. We'd love to come back. Hence 4.5 stars

We were only here to eat. It's very nice here.

This hotel impresses with its clean rooms, good breakfast and a manageable, quiet wellness area. From here you can easily explore the Bocksberg and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There are some parking spaces on site, or alternatively a few meters up the street in a large public parking lot, where there was always space. Only the WiFi (poor reception) and the TVs could be better for my taste, then it would be perfect.

We had booked an overnight stay there. We were very happy with everything. The location is a bit out of the way, but otherwise everything is ok.
