I had only the bacon cheeseburger and it was amazing. However staff don’t care about customers. I was having lunch and 2 tourists came in and sat down. They were waiting and waiting as they thought someone would come to them. Then I stood up and told them that they have to go to the counter and order themselves. In this case, in my experience one worker should let them know as there is no where written that it is “Selbstbedienung“. Staff = zero star

The place was empty, but the burger was still cold. Only four tables were occupied, two of which were already occupied. The excuse of being busy is invalid. The salad and tomato were like they'd come straight from the freezer. The meat wasn't even room temperature. One teaspoon of sauce was as dry as a cracker. The cheese had melted at some point, but was hard and cold when served. It tasted like it had been made yesterday, kept in the fridge, and then not even microwaved when ordered... for €15. On top of that, they practically threw the tray at the table while blasting awful music blared. Never again!

It closes at midnight, but the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. They rush you a bit to get you to eat right away and free up your table, but that's understandable given how many people are waiting. It's worth it.

We ended up here by chance. Among all the Japanese restaurants, which were completely full, there were still a few free tables here. Lots of pictures on the walls, and it has an American feel. We ordered two different hamburgers: one BBQ and one Lady Marmalade. We also ordered a side of fries with Parmesan and garlic. And I have to say, it was amazing. The meat was grilled to perfection, the hamburgers were generously topped (the Lady Marmalade even had a Camembert on it), and the fries were unusual but incredibly good. The staff was friendly, and everything looked clean. It was a wonderful evening with a perfect meal.

I had the Selim ABC burger. It was a very tasty and filling burger. The prices were a bit high.

The "Selim’s ABC" burger was absolutely perfect: the meat was grilled to perfection, juicy, not too fatty, and intensely flavorful. The other components are also superbly coordinated – the sauce, cheese, bun, and fresh ingredients complement each other perfectly; nothing is overpowering, and nothing is missing. The fresh ingredients are wonderfully crisp, which makes the burger feel even more premium. Overall, everything seems very well thought out and high-quality; you can tell that they place great value on good products and craftsmanship. The atmosphere also fits the concept: relaxed, urban, and just right for a laid-back burger night. For anyone who loves really good burgers, What’s Beef is definitely a clear recommendation – I would order Selim’s ABC again in a heartbeat!

I was in Düsseldorf for work and came across this burger shop through a web search. The place has a warm, welcoming feel and a genuinely pleasant atmosphere. I was served by Abbas, who was exceptionally kind and made the visit even better. A great spot worth stopping by.

We were more than satisfied, the service was great and the burgers were absolutely fantastic. If we're ever in Düsseldorf again, we'll definitely come back!

I haven't had such a good burger in ages!! We had the double cheeseburger, which was really, really good! The price was normal for Düsseldorf, but still a bit too expensive (€17 for just the burger), but it was a really good burger! We didn't regret it at all! We'd definitely have it again.

What a shame. The staff all seemed rather unenthusiastic about their jobs; bored faces, poor service. Card payment was taken directly at the counter after ordering, without the total being mentioned, and the bill only came after we asked for it. Perhaps they should revise their concept and offer proper service, which would increase the chances of tips and more motivated staff. Apparently, they don't serve bacon or Joppie sauce on Sundays. They did have cheese sauce, but forgot it, and it arrived much too late after we asked for it. An apology? Not a chance. The food was okay, not outstanding, but we still won't be coming back.

Truly amazing. Seeing the place almost empty, I hesitated to go in, but I "went in looking for silver and came out with gold" ✨ The lemonade they make was so refreshing. The burger patty is juicy and delicious. The bun is fresh and crispy, and the sesame flavor really added to the experience. They even gave me a big slice of avocado, thank you!!

Our vacation began with a meal at What's Beef, something I'd been waiting for for 10 years. The food was incredibly delicious and juicy. The shakes were also fantastic. The service was friendly and happy to help if you're unsure.

My friends and I went to What's Beef for dinner, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious; the burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the sweet potato fries were also really good. We also had milkshakes, which were incredibly creamy and delicious. The service was also top-notch! Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I accidentally spilled my friend's Coke, and when I went to the checkout, they just gave us a new one for free. That was incredibly generous and really made a great impression. We'll definitely be back!

I'm Argentinian and came here to eat a burger, and the truth is, they're very good. I recommend them if you're around. The guy who served me, Abbas, speaks great Spanish.

The service is unbelievably bad. My wife and I were here for lunch. Five people ordered before us, then about 15 more people immediately after us who seemed to be part of the group that had ordered before us, and three more who came separately. When we asked after 35 minutes and said that our lunch break was also only available for a limited time, the lady serving the food got snippy and said that the group was next. Even though more than half of them came after us and other people who were not part of the group were served before us. After 40 minutes our trays were slammed down on us. We'll never be back. If we'd been told we'd have to wait so long, we would have had the chance to go somewhere else and not overstay our lunch break.

I'd give it a good 3 for cleanliness. It could be improved. Food: Well, it wasn't my cup of tea. The burgers are very small and lightly topped for the hefty prices. The fries are about a medium portion compared to those from a well-known fast-food restaurant. I found everything edible, but I wouldn't go back. I just didn't like the taste.

Before the coronavirus pandemic, I enjoyed eating here. Now it's become incredibly expensive for what you get. The food tastes relatively okay, but the prices are really steep.

We ordered lunch deal, including one classic burger, one side dish and drink. The burgers very tasty, so are the sweet potato fries, so recommended that you can’t miss it! With the beer, it’s perfect!

2 burgers with cola €50 + after 3 hours of poisoning and vomiting, no one should go there, that's my advice.

The fries are a little too oily, unfortunately! And their texture is too dry.. and of course they’re not natural (frozen one, but bad quality). The price it’s a little bit too high for the quality they have, and you have to order at the bar they’re not coming to take your order on the table. Burger is good, standard, but nothing special. The good part is they have a Spanish beer Estrella Galicia’

You order at the counter and pick up your food there. It's more or less self-service; you bring your own sauces and cutlery. The place is very brightly lit, making it a bit uncomfortable. You can also sit outside. All in all, it's okay; you can eat good burgers. But don't expect too much.

I spontaneously had the quick lunch menu today and didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Burger, fries, and soda—everything was homemade, everything was great! Unfortunately, there was no ketchup or mayo, but the fries were so good that I could do without them :) The service was also friendly and super fast.

It's very nice. They have a variety of burgers, and it's halal. I chose the SMASH SUPREME, which comes double. The burger costs 16 euros, and they include free pickles, which are delicious. After I finished eating, Kenan offered me a very delicious dessert. This won't be my last visit to this place.
