A very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service (despite the busyness), very good food, and a nice selection of regional wines (bottles and by the glass). The dishes are attractively presented and tasty, and there are also some unusual dishes (such as the fantastic beetroot dumplings). The quality was high, and our portions were still easily enough to satisfy our hunger after a day of hiking. After dinner, we got chatting about the wines with a friendly gentleman at the next table: It was the owner, who spontaneously arranged a small wine tasting. We felt very comfortable and will definitely return here again. Thank you very much!

I definitely haven't had better food in Trier. The tapas are truly 10/10. Service, location, everything was top-notch 😊 This definitely won't be my last visit.

We came here for lunch with our two children. It was a truly wonderful restaurant visit. Super friendly service from both the chef and staff. Delicious food, and the excellent wine was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended and one of my culinary highlights.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted warmly and immediately feel like you're in good hands. The atmosphere is tasteful and pleasant – ideal for a relaxed evening with good food and wine. The food was truly excellent. Each course was prepared with care, harmonious in flavor, and made from high-quality ingredients. I particularly remember the dessert – a chocolate cake with a liquid center that was not only delicious but also beautifully and creatively presented. The portions are very generous, so bring a big appetite! The service was also first-class: attentive, friendly, and professional, without being intrusive. You can just tell that the work here is done with real passion. I highly recommend the Weinwirtschaft – it was an all-round wonderful evening! I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Staff super friendly, food good value for money, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, especially the wine list, leaves nothing to be desired... we'd be happy to go back👍🏼

We celebrated a birthday at the restaurant this weekend. As always, the food was perfect, and the tables were set as planned. Fresh flowers were provided, and our special requests were also accommodated. We're looking forward to the next event. Thanks to Mr. Rinke for organizing it.

Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday after doing a wine tasting at Rinke the night before. As expected, this place was great. Well decorated near the Basilica, and quietly tucked away. We had a chicken cordon Bleu and a steak "special" with the pfifferling mushrooms. The service was great, the food was even better, and the wine was already known to be amazing. Would go back here whenever we're in Trier and recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty meal. The portions were more than enough to have some leftovers.

With great enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge, he took us on an exciting journey into the world of sustainable wines. The wine tasting was extensive and narrated with great enthusiasm. We stopped here spontaneously and had a wonderful time. Actually, the stars weren't enough. The food was fantastic. A culinary delight. But what was particularly impressive was the staff. A big compliment to the gentleman (Thorsten) who served us. Friendly, open, with a good tongue, but used with care. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome here. Top-notch service.

Advertises with the slogan "Something for everyone." Two vegan soups in total on the daily and special menu are not an option for people with ethical diets, but rather an exclusion. A pity.

We went there because we wanted good, home-style food. The wine bar is busy, and you think it can only be good... We had a cordon bleu and a schnitzel. The chef messed up both of them badly. Both were over-fried and dry. The taste was also rather subpar. It's a shame that a German restaurant like this couldn't get the classic dishes right. Feedback was given to the waiters.

We visited the Friedrich-Wilhelm winery on a balmy summer evening and were able to sit in the garden. Along with an excellent wine tasting from the Rinke winery, we enjoyed the tapas, which we highly recommend. They were delicious! The portions were so generous that we unfortunately couldn't finish everything—despite our best efforts.

We've been here for dinner several times. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere. The service was always friendly. We were even allowed to bring our dog. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Always worth a visit.

We were booked with a large group... We had a reservation outside at a very long table... The food was pre-ordered and was served like a barracks yard. It was more reminiscent of a canteen than a restaurant. The price and the dish (cordon bleu) didn't match. If you're charging €25, the kitchen should be set up accordingly... 5-star reviews don't reflect reality...

Enjoying the outdoors in the city center is a great experience here. Unfortunately, rain was forecast, so we were served excellently inside. All the dishes were very good, both visually and tasted great. The veal lasagna deserves special praise; I even liked it better than my own 😉 Delicious!😋

Service is totally overwhelmed and as a result you fall into a barracks tone. (Probably no exception) 1 person for the entire terrace is simply not possible. We preferred to spend the rest of the evening somewhere else. Food was okay for the price.

The first step into the restaurant began with meeting Mr. Rinke at the door. The impression is of a person who cares about not a single guest, even a random one like us. Everything that followed only confirmed this. When choosing food, the chef recommended fish that was not on the menu - thank him 20 times! Everything is very tasty! We had our first experience with Moselle wine. Unfortunately, it did not fall into my taste range; I think it turned out to be too complex. We didn’t finish the bottle, which I now regret, of course. The wine has been processed to every drop. The obsessive thought that I need to go back. Thank you again Mr. Rinke!

For my birthday, I ordered catered food from the winery after we had eaten there several times recently. That was the best decision ever. ALL guests loved the food and received nothing but compliments. The clarification in advance with Alex Rinke was super uncomplicated and reliable. All in all, highly recommended if you want a stress-free celebration. Big thanks to Ali & Alex!!

Anyone who expects “just” a wine bar here will be delighted: In addition to excellent wines, there are really exciting dishes, typical Moselle home cooking with oriental accents in the right place. And the service is also super nice!

Super tasty and super nice to sit and enjoy. The young man (Kasper) who served us was also super nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed the tapas, thanks to the kitchen! Unfortunately, the service was otherwise very hectic and almost turned us away because “many tables were reserved in the evening”. We were there at 3:00 p.m. Other interested guests were turned away, even though a maximum of 50% of the tables were occupied.

The reason for deducting all stars is that after a long walk to this address - and from our point of view completely without reason - we were not welcome there and it was therefore not possible for us to stop off there. As follows: We came into the vineyard and it was very empty and wanted to sit outside at one of the many tables. We were called back very harshly by the service “Hello! Can I help you in any way?” - but in a tone as if we had entered someone else's house as criminals, a very, very unfriendly reception!!!! We understood that apparently you should be seated and wait at the entrance. We then looked at the entrance to see if there was any evidence of this. And discovered that a sign with the request to wait was tipped over there... NO, IT'S CLEAR!!!?!!! Unfortunately we had already lost the desire to have a little wine there!!!

Wir sind des Öfteren Gast in diesem wunderbaren Haus. Jeder Besuch auch mit Gästen war eine Freude. Wir wurden auch in der Getränkeauswahl immer sehr gut beraten. Gastfreundlichkeit wird hier großgeschrieben. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Fazit: Gerne immer wieder. Eine deutliche Empfehlung!

We stopped there after a wine tasting. The service took a little long, but it was friendly. It is the first restaurant to offer beef roulade without bacon and is therefore a dream for me. The dishes are above average in price, but really tasty and attractively presented. There are dried flowers on some of the dishes...really beautiful

Modern, creative cuisine with unusual dishes. The mix of styles of European and oriental influences makes choosing difficult, but the great service team has good recommendations. A firework of flavors is served, every bite is different, exciting and the best entertainment for the palate. There was a wine accompaniment, the recommendations were appropriate and excellent. We'd love to come back, there's still a lot to discover there! The wine also found its way into our home. Regional, organic, delicious! Thanks for the entertaining evening!

We have been guests at the winery several times now. In addition to the excellent food we were able to enjoy, the cozy atmosphere and the first-class wines, the service was, as always, very courteous and friendly. As always, we felt very comfortable and are already looking forward to our next visit.

We were 3 people with 1 dog and it was great again! Table in a niche so the dog had peace and quiet and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. We felt really comfortable. And the food, as always, was simply delicious!

Die Küche der Weinwirtschaft ist konstant auf hohem Niveau. Man merkt, dass hier handwerklich gearbeitet und auf Fertigkomponenten verzichtet wird. Das Steak ist von gleichbleibend guter Qualität und eines der besten der Stadt.

Alex and his team made our time at their restaurant an unforgettable event! We came with our dog, which was instantly cuddled and pampered with treats and all around loved by everyone. On holiday, where you as a dog owner don't really want to leave your dog in the hotel or apartment this was so lovely. Tipp: Bring an empty stomach! The portions are HUGE! The food was delicious, fresh and clearly prepared with care. We also booked the wine tasting via email. Alex, who produces his own biological wine, was more that happy and enthusiastic to talk about all wine related topics and the wines we had were so so good! Highly recommend asking for the tasting!!! The whole evening made our one day trip to Trier a memorable event and we can't thank Alex and the team enough. Bonus: the restaurant is really pretty and located in an old school where Karl Marx made his Abitur. Talk about history!!

The wine tasting, which I booked beforehand via email, was the absolut Highlight! Alex Rinke the winemaker, was more than happy to talk about his wines and they were all so tasty!! The star for us was the brand new sparkling wine! The team were all more than lovely. We are on holiday and can't really leave our dog at the hotel so we were so happy when he instantly got lots of love and treats from everybody. That is not the case at every restaurant, let me tell you. The food was delicious. Bring an empty stomach, it's huge portions! The restaurant itself is in an really old former school, where Karl Marx did his Abitur, so thats also Special. Interieur is really nice and it has a nice ambience. We came as a couple but it is really well suited for groups. All in all: you feel and see that here are people working that care. Thank you for an amazing evening!

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant on Christmas Day was a huge disappointment. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was surprised by an unfriendly reception - no greeting or anything like that, the rest of the reservation was already at the table, which I was able to look for myself with a rough description. After they tried to push the part of my family who had already arrived into a canteen-like restaurant, which was probably part of it and had the same menu, we finally got a table in the restaurant we had booked, which we had reserved by phone about 6 weeks before. However, a HUGE 12-person table! - Totally uncomfortable! - It had NOTHING to do with a Christmas dinner or any kind of festive evening! So we decided within the family to leave the restaurant. However, it shouldn't work that easily, because then the landlord would charge us a “no-show” and also threatened to get a lawyer. Interesting! In order to avoid this unjustified “no-show” bill, we decided to order the cheapest dish on the menu and a bottle of water and then leave the restaurant. But before that, the host came to the table, important with an iPad, and loudly insulted my mother as socially incompetent in front of other guests. Ultimately we were asked to leave without a no-show bill. Simply embarrassing and completely inappropriate. What should the host’s “appearance” be? We would have left earlier. I never thought something like this would ever happen to me, I'm stunned and will never visit this place again or tell friends about it. An absolute disgrace! Sending a large family away, especially at Christmas, is a remarkable achievement! The matter-of-factness with which we were sent to another restaurant is also more than strange. Not a word of apology instead of rudeness and insults, is this the right way to deal with guests? I don't know. As a precaution, I would like to point out that we are by no means noticeably unpleasant guests or would ever have been noticed as such. That evening in particular we wanted to celebrate Christmas and my mother's birthday. Too bad. Not and never again in this restaurant.

Auch wir sollten am 1.Weihnachtsfeiertag mit 6 Personen in die Tapas-Bar gesetzt werden. Dies lehnten wir aus den von anderen Kritikern hier bereits genannten Gründen ab. Wir hatten ja auch nicht dort, sondern im Restaurant reserviert. Der Umgang mit dieser Tatsache und uns im weiteren Verlauf war unvorstellbar. Schließlich verließen wir das Lokal. Egal. Allerdings fällt doch der Umgang mit Kritik (auch hier) sehr auf. Nie erlebte man eine solche Kritikunfähigkeit. Gäste zu beschimpfen und diesen immer wenig wohlwollend zu begegnen scheint hier Usus zu sein. Naja, vielleicht der Zeit geschuldet. Vielleicht aber auch einfach nur Arroganz und Überheblichkeit.

Der reservierte Tisch befand sich außerhalb der Hauptgebäudes, das auch als Weinlager genutzt wurde. Das machte den Raum für Weihnachten wenig festlich, ebensowenig die Bestuhlung, die aus einfachen Gartenstühlen mit Netzbezug bestand und eher den Eindruck erweckte, jede Möglichkeit für weitere Bewirtung zu nutzen, egal wie schlecht. Jedes Mal wenn eine Servicekraft kam, stand die Tür weit offen, was bei 6 Grad Außentemperatur sehr unangenehm war - es zog. Ich war durchgefroren. Die aufgerufenen Preise waren dem Ambiente überhaupt nicht angemessen. Die Hand voll Gnocchi waren völlig überteuert im Verhältnis zum Cordon Bleu oder allen anderen Fleischgerichten, die gleich teuer waren.

We had reserved a table for 6 people on Christmas Day evening. Unfortunately they wanted to send us to the tapas bar. We had reserved a table here, not least because of the ambience. After a short discussion we were assigned a huge table. It was almost impossible to talk to each other here. But since we wanted to have a chat and it wasn't possible to change tables later for the main course, we wanted to leave the restaurant. But then we would be charged for "no show", we were informed, and immediately threatened with a lawyer... very strange behavior. Ok, we thought, we'll each order an appetizer and water and then leave. But before we placed an order, we were told that it would probably be better if we left. My social behavior was criticized because I complained about how our reservation was handled. So now we could go without a “no-show” calculation. It's a shame this way of dealing with guests. In fact, nothing like this has ever happened to us. All very unfortunate. We will never visit this restaurant again. We will also tell friends and acquaintances about this Christmas experience, including long-time regular customers of the wine industry... It's a shame, just a shame.

Spectacular restaurant. Very cozy and pleasant decoration. Exquisite food with very careful preparation and with natural ingredients. Alexander, the owner, was a great host, with his explanations about the organic wine from his winery, he made the dinner an incredible experience. Highly recommended restaurant.

Just a lady! which is supposed to serve everything - completely overwhelmed - we feel sorry for her. The phone rang without being answered. There is only one gluten-free option on the menu! The food was okay... the creme brulée had a raspberry... with mold on it. It appears that this B mole is caused by understaffing.

Yesterday we were guests at this wine bar in Trier with several people and overall we had a really good meal here. I was particularly impressed by the tapas, of which I had a choice of three as starters. These were really delicious, the individual components were creative and sophisticated and presented in a visually appealing way. The taste of the individual tapas harmonized really well, and even though it was only a starter portion each, they were of a really good size. On my next visit to this restaurant I will definitely try the large tapas menu. We also enjoyed our good quality main courses, although my steak tasted a little better and was juicier. The attractively served main courses were really generous in quantity, so that the price-performance ratio is definitely right here. We booked a wine tasting with the meal, during which we were introduced to 5 really interesting, unusual wines as well as a sparkling wine, and during which we received a lot of interesting background information from the friendly owner. The upscale restaurant offers a really nice atmosphere in which to dine and relax. All the employees were super friendly and attentive to us, especially the welcome was very warm. Personally, the sequence of dishes went too quickly for me - after ordering, the starter immediately followed, then without a break the salad and then the main course. Overall, I can definitely recommend this winery to enjoy delicious food and good wine, and I would be happy to be a guest here myself.

The Weinwirtschaft was the best culinary experience I've had since living in Germany. We tried it because our wine tour guide recommended it, the staff was actually very kind, patient and informative. Each dish was prepared beautifully and highlighted fresh ingredients from the local area. Bravo to the chef and staff!! 👏🏿 Can't wait to try it again.
