The food was really very tasty. Every now and then it took longer for the service to be taken into account and the prices were different than in the shortened menu.

Bad service despite reservations. Parked in the next hall defies reservations in the main hall. Coffee was no longer delivered because the machine was defective. All in all not recommended!!!!

Yesterday we were guests at this wine bar in Trier with several people and overall we had a really good meal here. I was particularly impressed by the tapas, of which I had a choice of three as starters. These were really delicious, the individual components were creative and sophisticated and presented in a visually appealing way. The taste of the individual tapas harmonized really well, and even though it was only a starter portion each, they were of a really good size. On my next visit to this restaurant I will definitely try the large tapas menu. We also enjoyed our good quality main courses, although my steak tasted a little better and was juicier. The attractively served main courses were really generous in quantity, so that the price-performance ratio is definitely right here. We booked a wine tasting with the meal, during which we were introduced to 5 really interesting, unusual wines as well as a sparkling wine, and during which we received a lot of interesting background information from the friendly owner. The upscale restaurant offers a really nice atmosphere in which to dine and relax. All the employees were super friendly and attentive to us, especially the welcome was very warm. Personally, the sequence of dishes went too quickly for me - after ordering, the starter immediately followed, then without a break the salad and then the main course. Overall, I can definitely recommend this winery to enjoy delicious food and good wine, and I would be happy to be a guest here myself.

Great selection of tapas - especially vegetarian ones. There were two of us there and we ordered the “tapas for 2 people” (1x vegetarian, 1x with meat/fish). Large portion and good “explanation” when serving.

The Weinwirtschaft was the best culinary experience I've had since living in Germany. We tried it because our wine tour guide recommended it, the staff was actually very kind, patient and informative. Each dish was prepared beautifully and highlighted fresh ingredients from the local area. Bravo to the chef and staff!! 👏🏿 Can't wait to try it again.

Thanks to the lovely recommendation from Simon - our Wine Walk Guide 😌👍 - we stopped by this great restaurant in the evening. What awaited us there was an absolute taste explosion 🫶 Absolutely recommended in every respect!!! The service, ambience, food and wine were perfect! EVERYTHING just worked! Many thanks also to Chef Alexander, who came to our table after the meal to personally inquire about our satisfaction. Thank you very much - we definitely recommend you 🫠

The service was beyond words. Glasses were not put down, but stomped on. The word please wasn't even mentioned. The waitress leaned on the backs of her chairs while waiting for the order. The food was just tasteless, potato salad with actually whole small potatoes in it. The pimientos were burnt. The tuna was completely cooked through. Ridiculous. The side salad ordered as a starter came with the main course. The waiter was just cheeky when it came to complaints. A consistently bad experience.

We have eaten at Weinwirtschaft Friedrich-Wilhelm several times and have always been satisfied. Everything was topped after our wedding in mid-August with a 3-course lunch! Our guests and we (39 people in total) not only absolutely loved the beautiful long table outside on the terrace, but the food and service perfected everything. All communication with all employees from start to finish was flawless and very accommodating. Mr. Rinke was always able to answer all of our questions in a short time and used his experience to give very good advice on the choice of our menu and wines. As a starter we had a table buffet of various tapas, the main course was a magnificent grill buffet and as dessert three different versions of desserts were served in glasses. It was important to us to do justice to all of our guests, as the older people tended to prefer traditional, regional cuisine and the younger ones consisted of around 50% vegetarians. We would like to thank Mr. Rinke, Mr. Boussi and all the employees present again! You contributed a huge part to our celebration and we are looking forward to our next visit with you.

Ambience very nice. Food and service don't quite match the price

Der Wein von den Bischöflichen Weingütern auf der Karte ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn auch nicht ganz billig. Das Essen - Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat - war für mich leider eine Enttäuschung. Das habe ich in anderen Restaurants schon oft deutlich besser/schmackhafter gegessen. Dass die Kartoffeln im Kartoffelsalat nicht festkochend, sondern eher mehlig kochend waren, war schon etwas befremdlich. Das Personal war freundlich, wenn auch etwas langsam. Ein zweiten Besuch wird es wahrscheinlich nicht geben. Aufgrund des guten Weines drei anstatt zwei Sterne.

We were there with a group of 13 and despite the lack of cooperation, the employees and the boss did an absolutely great job. Food and service great, an absolute tip from me for eating out and enjoying good wine.

We were here for the first time. Followed the boss's invitation. And he didn't promise too much. The restaurant is centrally located in the city center but very quiet due to the trees. The garden is beautiful and invites you to enjoy it. The menu is very seasonal, but also reflects the chef's background. As a starter we had a salad with various tapas variations and as a main course we had the Maultaschen and the steak and a Moselle wine. Everything was very tasty. We will definitely recommend it and would be happy to come back.

We had a great meal here, we had the tapas and they were super tasty. Each dish itself was very finely prepared. We had our kids with us and they were also super friendly to them. I read someone below saying that they don't take kindly to people who speak English, but when they noticed that our German wasn't very good, they immediately offered an English card. We were very satisfied.

We had a wonderful dinner at Weinwirtschaft Friedrich-wilhelm, the food was delicious and the staff (especially Francesca) were wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through Trier!

Last weekend my husband and I ate at the Weinwirtsch for the first time. We were welcomed very nicely and politely. Unfortunately we hadn't reserved a table, but since it was still early in the evening we were able to secure a table for us. I don't eat meat and still had a small selection of different vegetarian dishes. Chef Ali was able to recommend the vegan sweet potato lasagna to me, which I ended up taking! It tasted so incredibly delicious! My partner ate steak, which also tasted very good! I haven't eaten something so delicious and of such high quality in a very, very long time! We would like to go there more often in the future and enjoy the delicious food! Please keep up your friendly attitude and the great food, then you will win us as regular guests! Thank you for the great stay with you! 🥰

It is an old industrial facility converted into a restaurant. We liked this very much. The food was really perfect, although I'm not much of a beef fan. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male hier zum Essen und waren diesesmal sehr enttäuscht 4x Rinderfilet bestellt und alle waren durchgebraten, ein no go, Reklamation wurde abgeschmettert. Entschuldigung Fehlanzeige. Die Champihnons und die Rinderroulade waren laut unseren Freunden gut, jedoch Portionsgröße überschaubar. Es hätte für die Herren mehr sein dürfen. Die Nachtische waren ganz ok, aber auch nicht den Preis rechtfertigend und auch hier schon besser. Ein Glas Sekt mit 0.1l für 6,50€ teuer, es war nicht möglich eine Flasche zu bestellen. Auch schade das es manche Weine nur als ganze Flasche gibt. Schwierig da Geschmäcker unterschiedlich. Da lobe ich mir ein anderes, fußläufig zu erreichendes, Weinlokal mit wesentlich größerer Auswahl. Wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen.

The wine is of course great, but the menue is what sets the place apart. Great mixture of german classics and Mediterranean dishes, vegetarian and vegan friendly, and most important: just great tasting food👍

Very nice service. Unfortunately, we were totally disappointed with the food. We came here on the recommendation of a friend from Trier. Maybe the tapas are better, but neither the starters nor the main courses tasted good to us.

Reserved a table for 2 people at short notice for New Year's Eve. You could order menu or off the menu. We had the menu with tapas variation, wild salmon and beef as well as various desserts. Everything was very tasty and highly recommended.

Hier findet das Dinner in the Dark statt. Das Erlebnis ist einmalig und man sollte es schonmal gemacht haben. Wir hatten erwartet, dass mit den Geschmäckern gespielt wird. Leider ist das nicht der Fall. Außer dem zweiten Gang(ich möchte an dieser Stelle nicht verraten, was es gab, da sonst das Event keinen Sinn machen würde) hat uns das Essen leider nicht so ganz geschmeckt. Aber Geschmäcker sind bekanntlich verschieden. Das Ambiente und der Service stattdessen sind super. Nur wird in diesem Fall nicht das Augenmerk👁darauf gelegt.Deshalb nur 2 Sterne.Für das Essen, ist mir das Event persönlich zu teuer. 💰

Hier gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Tolles Ambiente. Der Service war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich super, die Ente ist nur zu empfehlen und war auf den Punkt gegart. Die Dessertvariation war ein Traum. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

War gestern das zweitemal mit meiner Familie dorthin .Haben uns vom Chef überraschen lassen , grosses Angebot von verschiedenen Tapas .Lecker .Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend , Ambiente top .Sehr zu empfehlen.

Delicious food. Wonderful service. Great atmosphere! We shared an entire, appetizer, and dessert. We had the spinach puffs, gnocchi, and crème brûlée for dessert. Lots of vegan/ vegetarian options!! 10/10 on the flavor of the food. We had a free wine glass from Walking Wjne Trier Tour (which we also recommend). The wine was great with the meal.

The garden-filled courtyard is huge, lots of tables that are spread out so there’s a relaxed feel. Dinner was served on pottery plates and bowls which added to the rustic country feel. The food was fantastic. I had the homemade spatzel. highly recommend. My husband had the schnitzel which we said was the best he had the whole trip through Germany. The Germans have two pours for wine–a half glass (.1) and a full glass (.2). and the price is just over half for the half glass, fair enough. We wanted to taste several wines so we asked for a flight which they don’t do without prior notice but the waitress (who spoke excellent English) did offer to bring a series of 3 wines (half pour) across our meal time with 3 different wines according to our preferences and choice of meal for $15 which was actually a dollar more than if we had just chosen ourselves, but we felt this was worth it for her time. We both did it so we got 6 different wines which was a nice experience. We wound up buying one bottle. They served their own label and other local wineries without bias. Die Speisekarte was in English and German.

Leckers Essen, schönes Ambiente, freundlicher Service

Leckere tapas für 2 Personen! War nur viel zu viel! Sehr schöner Biergarten mit Überdachung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Wir Wareneingang der Innenstadt..alles laut und ungemütlich. Am Rander Innenstadt befindet sich die Weinwirtschaft, ein ruhiger Ort um sein Esseni aller Ruhe zugenießen...Essen topp, Service topp, Ambiente topp

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Der Chef kommt seibst auch an den Tisch, spricht mit seinen Gästen und empfiehlt auch diverse Gerichte und deren Zubereitung.

Sehr gutes und schönes Restaurant inklusive einem der schönsten Bier-/Wein- Gärten Triers. Das Essen war bisher immer hervorragend und es gibt eine große Auswahl an Getränken und insbesondere regionalen Weinen. Besonders schön um im Sommer draußen zu sitzen aber auch im inneren lässt es sich bei schlechten Wetter gut Verweilen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Der Service, wie Essen nicht zufrieden stellend! Eine Kalbsleder die zu lange im Vakuum war, ein Service derkeine Reklamation erträgt, der Chef sagt, der Restauratantleiter würde sie am liebsten weg schicken. Darf man keine Kritik sagen? Ich habe sofort die Rechnung bestellt, keiner der Verantwortlichen erschien, der junge Mann, der uns die Rechnung gebracht hatte, musste noch einmal die Kritik hören, er war dadurch leider überfordert. Er blieb freundlich und wollte was gut machen, aber leider wusste er nicht wie!!!!

Sehr schönes Ambiente drinnen und draußen, sehr freundliches Personal und tolle leckere Gerichte! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Kann ich nicht empfehlen. Das Essen wurde nicht frisch zubereitet und die Qualtät dem Preis nicht entsprechend. Das Essen wurde bereits aufgetragen als wir unser Aperitiv nur zur Hälfte getrunken hatte. Das Servicepersonal konnte uns mit den Weinen nicht beraten, dies in einer Weinwirtschaft. Positiv war nur die Location. Und es war sauber, inklusive Toiletten

Wir gehen hier regelmäßig essen. Alle Speisen und Weine sind lecker gewesen. Heute haben wir das erste Mal die Tappas ausprobiert. Auch die waren vorzüglich. Der Service ist immer freundlich und die Außenanlage sehr schön gestaltet.

Auf der Terrasse im schattigen Garten saßen wir gut.Allerdings war das Essen schon enttäuschend.Es wurden Spargel mit jungen Kartoffeln für 20,— Euro angeboten.Das Essen kam überraschend schnell.5 eher buttrig harte Spargelstangen wurden ergänzt durch in Butter geschwenkte kleine Kartoffeln die schon recht hart und pampig im Inneren waren.Dazu ein großer Pott Sauce Hollandaise. Wir essen sehr gerne Spargel,aber so schlecht schon lange nicht mehr.Vielleicht die falsche Gerichtswahl für diese Art von Restaurant?
