Excellent food, professional service, acceptable prices.

Due to the many positive reviews, we came here with quite high expectations. The decor is well done, the service is quick and attentive. So the first impression was very positive. The map is manageable, which is a good sign. My barometer in Italian restaurants is the spagetti carbonara. And what can I say, they are served here with cream and smoked meat. Ragazzzi whoever makes pasta with cream will go to Italian hell. Cream belongs in dessert and nowhere else. Apparently the chef is not Italian. The second negative point was the Primitivo, which was served too warm. Unfortunately, this is more the rule than the exception. We've been to Tuscany several times and they can't read the label either. Our noodles were okay but not anymore. The empty dishes were quickly cleared away, but the empty wine glasses were no reason for the service to ask if we wanted to drink something else. Overall, we had the impression of mass processing; we didn't feel like guests.

I had a Sofia Loren pizza, which is famously made with eggs. However, not only was the egg on it, but also a lot of leftover shells. I put it aside on the plate and pointed it out to the waiter when I was paying. I got no reaction other than a shrug of the shoulders - not even an apology or a discount. I found it pretty bold and disappointing. By the way, the egg was more raw than a fried egg.

Great Italian restaurant with mega large pizzas. It was very good. The ambience is great and the open fire oven is impressive. The service guys were quick and very nice. My wife's lamb was also roasted beautifully pink. Gladly again. The store is always busy, so call or come early around 6 p.m.

An absolute hit! 🎯 The Ristorante Pizzeria Frankenturm impresses across the board. 👌 The concept is consistent, the service is top notch and the selection of drinks and food leaves nothing to be desired. 🍽️🍷 I was particularly impressed by the aperitif Ramazzotti Rosato Via - simply heavenly! 🍹 The pizza? Craziness! 🍕 One of the best I've ever eaten in Germany - perfectly baked and full of flavor. The cozy ambience rounds off the evening. 🕯️ We had an incredibly pleasant and relaxing evening. Any time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We arrived to spend the night last night and the experience was disappointing. The bathroom was dirty with hair in the drain, no toilet paper (one being just the roll without any paper), the floor had drops of pee. The TV did not pick up any channels as you can see in the photos. We complained through booking where they informed us that they would resolve our problem but they did nothing. The only good things about this stay were the location and the bed, which is wonderful.

Great staff with fun on their faces… the food fantastic - very authentic Italian cuisine! Whether stone oven pizza or pasta - it tastes really good here.

Unfortunately, the last visit was less nice. The rocket was yellow and bad and there was soil in the salad.

Positive: central, quiet, cheap What was very negative for me was that the hotel is not handicapped accessible and that there was no prior information about it. You have to climb 3 steps to the front door and there is no elevator! For me as a disabled person, this was a catastrophe! I had to leave my walker at the front door and carry my luggage upstairs alone. There is also no reception. You get the room key from an electronic compartment that can be opened using a code that you receive by email. No problem for younger people, but for older and disabled people I would advise against the Hotel Frankenturm.

There were four of us. Came by on a recommendation. The restaurant was very busy. The service was super fast, we had vitello tonato and bruscetta as a starter and various pasta dishes (e.g. a la Chef, with salmon, etc.). Unfortunately the pasta wasn't quite done yet. Still highly recommended.

Food deserves 5 star Hotel is 3 star per se. there is a towel that is randomly placed in the toilet when I stepped in the room. The voice insulation is also subpar - I was awaken by my neighbor’s alarm. There’s no AC but a fan. In sum, you get what you pay for

The Frankenturm in Trier offers the best pizza I have ever eaten. The drinks arrived within a minute, and the food was on the table in less than 10 minutes. The service was extremely friendly and the ambience was very pleasant and calm. The open kitchen, where you could watch the chefs working their magic, was particularly impressive. We would like to come again!

Review refers to the restaurant. Every time we are in Trier we go to the Frankenturm, to the pizzeria. From steak to pasta to pizza, everything is great at a fair price. Staff amazing, very attentive, friendly and yet they have everything in view. Respect for that. Clear recommendation.

Not bad, but our room did need an upgrade, some necessary repairs. The bed seemed clean as did the bathroom fixtures. I won't go here again and I won't recommend it. The restaurant, on the other hand, is fine, we had a nice meal there It is directly in the center, you can park your car further away in a parking garage for €18 per night

Good and tasty Italian restaurant. Attracted by the good reviews on tripavisor, we were not disappointed. The pasta dishes we ordered not only looked good but were also very tasty. The pizzas served at other tables, too, although we can't judge their taste here. There remains a small downside: somehow, despite the right ambience, the feel-good factor didn't really resonate with us that evening. Maybe it was also due to the stressful pre-Christmas weekend that was already coming to an end and we were a little out of breath. All in all, worth recommending to anyone who wants to eat Italian food in Trier.

Visit to the restaurant for lunch. The food was good and the service staff was friendly. I can't judge the rest - the hotel and the rooms. Therefore only give general stars.

Food is amazing! Nice Ambiente. Service seems a little bit irritated when you are not a hotel guest and don’t have a reservation for 2 for lunch (during the week) - then they seat you in the tight corner even though all tables are free and remain free. Some waiters are just this way! That’s how you lose your tip.

There were seven of us here. 1 minute from the main market. I am sooooo excited about the food, ambience and service!!!! We were served so friendly and competently. Then the food came...soooo delicious!!! The best antipasti, bruscuetta, pizza, homemade ravioli I have ever eaten (I tried everyone, I had the homemade ravioli with porcini mushrooms myself) The Pino Grigio and the Grappa...soooo good. We'll be back, I recommend this enjoyable experience to everyone Thank you so much!!!😃😋

We ate at the Frankenturm restaurant several times ago and were always satisfied. Last week we wanted to test it again and were unfortunately very disappointed... The food came after just 5 minutes and didn't convince us at all in terms of taste. We had pasta 3 times, two with pesto and one with gorgonzola sauce. The pesto noodles had very little flavor and there was way too much oil in the dish. The Gorgonzola noodles were okay but very mild and not really like Gorgonzola sauce. We wouldn't eat there again... We didn't really find the price performance appropriate either.

The staff were very nice, as was the food and it came quickly. The pizza was even outside the box and it wasn't expensive either.

Attentive staff. Eating schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce is a poem. A little more seasoning and herbs would also make pasta dishes really tasty. But that's also a matter of taste. You can definitely do it.

Food from the kitchen was amazing, and there is a primivito on the menu for the house wine. The rooms were wonderful as well, loved the left over balcony where it still has the original wording on the walls attached. Room was very cozy and a taste of the local history..
