Wir haben diese Gaststätte durch Zufall gefunden. Sehr leckeres Essen, man kann sehr schön draußen sitzen. Ruhige Lage im Grünen. Sehr guter Service. Dienstag Ruhetag. Wir kommen wieder

Ich habe hervorragend gegessen und wurde trotz der Sprachbarriere exzellent bedient. Die Öffnungszeiten sind sehr praktisch, sodass man fast jederzeit essen gehen kann. Das Restaurant liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Trierer Amphitheater entfernt – einfach perfekt. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Ich bin öfters dort, um etwas zu essen. Es ist ja sonst bei den Gärten kein Lokal, wo man schon ab 12:00 Uhr etwas essen kann. Dann das Essen, sehr gut und reichlich. Sollte mal etwas nicht in Ordnung sein, kann man mit dem Chef sprechen und dann wird das geändert. Personal inclusive Chef, Chefin ist sehr freundlich, was man hier in den Gärten nicht überall so sagen kann.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Gute, preiswerte Hausmannskost. Eingebettet in die Kleingarten Anlage. Für Menschen mit Beschränkungen auch mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Viele Sitzplätze draußen. Auch für Radfahrer zu empfehlen.

Wir essen in Deutschland viele Schnitzel, aber dieses hier ist das leckerste, das ich je gegessen habe! Wenn ihr mal in Trier seid, müsst ihr unbedingt dorthin!

Wir hatten ein köstliches Essen und wurden von einer sehr freundlichen Gastgeberin und einem hervorragenden Service bedient. Das Schnitzel ist sehr zu empfehlen (es wird auf einer Grillplatte gebraten, und das schmeckt man auch).

Tolle Speisekarte. Wir haben dort nur etwas getrunken.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich traumhaft, tolle Gesellschaft, man fühlt sich sehr aufgenommen, auch durch das überaus qualifizierte Personal. Das Schnitzel ist (wie immer) besonders empfehlenswert.😋

Hatte gestern einen schönen Abend in diesem Lokal. Sehr nette und freundliche Gastgeber. Gute Küche, sehr leckeres Menü. Habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Also endlich mal ein Lokal bei dem Preis/Leistung vollkommen stimmt. Ich bin seit geraumer Zeit nur noch von der Gastronomie im Allgemeinen mehr als enttäuscht worden. Hier aber war ich jetzt schon in kurzer Zeit mehrfach gewesen, Essen super, Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Lohnte sich jedesmal. Und man merkt, dass der neue Inhaber und Chefkoch eine ausgezeichnete Expertise mitbringt! Ein Lob, Danke und macht weiter so! 👏🏼👍🏼😊

We were here for the first time a few weeks ago, by invitation. We sat outside and had a great meal. We were surprised by the quality and friendly service. We've since been here with neighbors, who were also very satisfied. We've been here several times. The food is always great, plentiful, and very tasty. A short walk through the Trier-Ost gardens from the Spitzmühle parking lot is always worthwhile. We'd love to come back.

We were invited here by friends. When you hear the term "garden restaurant," you don't initially have very high expectations—completely unjustified, as it turned out. The table had already been reserved, and we received a very friendly welcome. For starters, we had a large salad platter. This already hinted at what was to come: I can't remember ever having eaten such a good salad—that it was even worth mentioning here. For my main course, I had Sauerbraten with red cabbage and potato dumplings. The meat was tender as butter, and together with the red cabbage and dumplings, it was a true delight for the palate. Now, a day later, I know why we shouldn't award five stars for food too often: A sixth star for the culinary art would actually be appropriate here. The only slight drawback is the ambiance—the service and food are more reminiscent of an upscale establishment. We will definitely be happy to return.

I had one of my best steaks ever here. It's a lovely place to sit. All the sauces are gluten-free. I highly recommend this place.

Very friendly service and super delicious food. The rump steak deserves full marks! Gluten intolerance is also catered for – all sauces are gluten-free! The chef knows what he's doing and is a real expert. In summer, you can sit on the terrace right by the stream and surrounded by greenery.

Attention, new tenant! I ordered a chanterelle schnitzel for €22. I didn't get a salad, even though it was listed on the menu. It was a mini schnitzel with very little sauce on a plate half the size of last year. We always enjoy eating there because of the portions and the price, but unfortunately, this was our last visit. With that kind of staff, they'd be better off turning this into a kebab shop. Receipts were only given upon request.

I've eaten there several times and I have to say it was very, very good. A few days ago, I had fried chanterelles with a dark sauce and bread. They were simply fantastic. The chef, Erdal, made the dark sauce especially for me. Erdal and his wife are always very friendly. The service, of course, is also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Family-run garden restaurant with great service and good, home-style food. The value for money is still right here. If you're not looking for a great ambiance, but simply good food with friendly service, you can't miss this garden restaurant. I'd be happy to come back.

We were there in the evening, and it was busy. The manager was friendly, cleaned the table immediately, and made small talk – we felt welcome. Unfortunately, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks; only after we asked for them, and then another 10 minutes for the Coke and beer. The spit roast was delicious, but the side dish of fried potatoes was unfortunately "seasoned" with so much pepper that only hardcore pepper fans could eat it. Unfortunately, it was impossible to contact the waitress, as they neither took drink orders nor responded to gestures. Even when plates were cleared, no drink requests were accepted. Even paying was difficult because no one responded. As we observed, "familiar faces" are looked after, while new guests are ignored – a real shame! Cozy for a club restaurant, although the chairs on the terrace (wickerwork) without cushions don't invite you to linger for long.

Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service with a lot of humor

I would give zero stars if possible because we didn’t got the chance to taste the food. Passed by in the afternoon. Menu looked good. Checked the opening hours. Came back in the evening. Walked 20 minutes for it just to get the message that they were’t open due to a large group in the afternoon. Then maybe you should mention it on your information bord at the entrance or website so people can see when you aren’t open. So if you wanna go, don’t, because you probably stand before a closed door and can’t find anything else to eat because now it’s too late to walk someplace else!

I didn't eat anything, just drank a coffee and water. The service was super friendly and quick.

We were on a bowling trip in Trier last weekend and happened to pass by the Altbachtal restaurant on the way to the amphitheater. Our group received extremely friendly service, and the service was excellent. The food was very good, and we felt completely at home. I would definitely like to return there with my family on my next visit to Trier.

Nice and pleasant. But €18 for a salad, €15 for a tarte flambée, or €14 for six flatbreads with fries are prices the food can't compete with.

Very good cuisine, probably with a real chef. The service is top notch, the wine excellent! I recommend it.

We tried to test the place. Unfortunately, after 20 minutes of being completely ignored by the 2 service staff, we had to change the restaurant.

Please don't look forward to the dessert that is in the photo. It's not just available as a picture under the menu item. You should definitely change that or offer the food. Otherwise there is very good food and you can see that just by the fact that a lot of the seats are occupied.

Very tasty fries, schnitzels and fries. The staff is very attentive and nice.

We've been there twice so far and had a delicious meal 😋. I don't normally eat fried potatoes when I go out, but these were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and, most importantly, not dripping with fat. The delicately bitter rose is also recommended. There's nothing to complain about when it comes to service either. All in all very good value for money and can only be recommended. We'd love to come back.

We can only recommend Erdal and his restaurant. The food tasted very tasty and was plentiful. The salad is also very tasty and especially the dressing. We also had the crème brule and that was absolutely delicious too. Not as sweet as others. Simply wonderful, everything worked. We will definitely come back.

The new tenant, Erdal, has 30 years of professional experience and has been making really good food since the reopening on November 5th, 2024. I can only give the full score of 5 stars, everything is just right for me. Food, friendly service, price. I would be happy to go back at any time to Erdal for dinner with my family.

The owner of the restaurant recently changed and is still having a few problems with Google to update the current information. For this reason I am now writing about it c: The current menu (and opening times) should have been posted by me earlier. The restaurant itself is completely barrier-free, only the toilet is difficult to access (especially the ladies'). The atmosphere is cozy and quite simple. EC card payment and guest WiFi are being planned, but have not yet been implemented at the moment (I will change the review if that changes). The owners are very committed and look forward to your feedback

Quite spontaneously stopped by this beer garden of the allotment garden association. I felt like steak and it just so happened that it was rump steak day at the place. So go in and order. Food was great, steak was very good, fries perfect and the salad was fresh. Plus fast and very friendly service. The only deduction for the ambience is because the chairs were a bit low in relation to the table. Otherwise highly recommended.

Air upward.. The food (schnitzel and chicken) was okay, but nothing more (chicken too dry, not enough fries with the schnitzel), the salad was unfortunately soggy. The prices are not cheap but not overpriced either, so far OK. The waitress was alone, there were simply too many guests for one person on a warm day, so everything took a little longer and you could tell she was stressed. What is not possible is the complete lack of flexibility to respond to requests. Everything is only available exactly as it is on the menu, for example changing a sauce even though it is also on the menu is not possible. Absolutely incomprehensible. Unfortunately, all in all, the whole thing didn't convince us.
