WaWa in Berlin

Going out for Korean food? Then off to WaWa! To say it was just perfect still seems like an understatement. The food came super quickly, was very tasty and the drinks were also excellent. You could even order soju 😍 I tried the hotteok (pancake) today and it was simply delicious 😍 really crispy on the outside and super filled. It's always a pleasure to eat with them.

Usually, Korean restaurants have localized flavors, so I don't often review their food, but I felt the most Korean taste at this restaurant. I had a nice, spicy and hearty meal👍

Very very tasty and authentic Korean cuisine! Best cheese bulgogi in Berlin, I can only recommend it to everyone. The japchae is also very tasty. Thank you for the friendly service. We'd love to come back.

The Kimchi soup is delicious!!!

I had the food delivered, and I’m usually disappointed with food deliveries because it’s often not prepared well. Wawa, though, everything was excellent. They did a great job with the presentation, keeping the food and meat in separate boxes. The meal was delicious, simple, and healthy—not overly sauced, which I really appreciated.

After making an online reservation for 3 people, I was supposed to sit outside on a metal folding chair. Sat for 5 minutes and my butt itched😬. When I asked, the waitress found room inside, but my appetite was gone. The food itself (beef with cheese gratin) was so-so and without any seasoning for my taste. I had imagined it differently.

Highly recommend!!! Tasty beef with noodles pot. It came with a little kimchi. The kimchi tofu soup with pork was good as well as the bibimbpa. I hope I can try the cheese beef.. not enough space for my stomach. Really enjoyed the meal! Very good price as the portion was big.

Extensive menu, the food came very quickly despite being full. Friendly, competent service. In addition to rice, the Cheeze Bulgogi also comes with a small portion of kimchi and a small miso soup, and the meat quality is top. Therefore, the dish is absolutely worth its price. The drink menu also includes 식혜 (shikhye, rice drink) and 수정과 (sujeonggwa, khaki cinnamon drink), which is not a given. Card payment is possible.

Went here with a friend and had a great time. Fairly small menu with the main dishes being bulgogi, bibimbap and a few soups. Personally really loved the signature hot cheese bulgogi! I also haven't really seen hotteok in Berlin much, so was really nice to have it for dessert, incredibly delicious. 잘 먹었어요~

We ended up at WaWa on a recommendation. Online table reservation worked great. The map is small but nice. Tried two starters as a starter, then the main course. Here you are spoiled for choice. Since we didn't know anything, we decided on 3 different dishes. We particularly liked the marinated beef. Super tender and delicious...the soup with it is a matter of taste. The prices are borderline for the size of the portions. But I think I still have to get used to the increased costs in the catering industry. All in all it deserves 4 stars.

Good Korean restaurant with delicious bibimbap, which costs 10 euros as a base (vegetables, rice, kimchi, soup, soy sauce, chili peppers) and can then be pimped with additional ingredients. The extra ingredients cost three euros each: fried egg, tofu, seaweed crumbles, beef, etc. I came to 16 euros with egg and tofu, which isn't particularly cheap, but it's really very good.

The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. Toilet very clean. Ambience simple.

Friday lunch, shortly after 12 we were again the first at Wawa, super friendly crew as usual, we were once again served the vegetarian bibimbap (7.80 euros), with a sip of Coca-Cola light (2, - the 0.2l -glass bottle), perfect.

Wawa makes the best bulgogi in Berlin! And their customer service is just as good as their food! I like to order there via wolt! The quality of the food is sensational! And constantly the same. Thanks to the WaWa team for such delicious food, see you next time

The Bibimbap is delicious, we tried both the beef and tofu version.

The food was bland and the meat was mushy. We ordered spicy. That wasn't it. I can't recommend it. Maybe it was a slip-up.

Slightly more expensive Korean restaurant that focuses on variations of bibimbab. The homemade (iced) teas are recommended. You can pay both in cash and by card.

Bibimbap sehr lecker, aber nur durchschnittlich gut. Kriegt man woanders besser, und günstiger. Service war in Ordnung, aber nicht sehr aufmerksam.

Cozy Korean place with relaxed vibe and good food. The service was very friendly and surprisingly fast for how busy it was. We had dolsot-bibimbap with different toppings and extra lettuce/ssam. Everything was very fresh and had the right flavours.

Wir haben heute Abend über Wolt Bibimbap bestellt. Es hat köstlich geschmeckt. Auch die Suppe, sowie Kimchi Schmecken wunderbar. Zudem ist der Service spitze: bei uns kam es zu einer Bestellungsverwechslung. WaWa Berlin hat uns sehr hilfsbereit vorgeschlagen, erneut an uns zu liefern und haben uns sogar am Ende 3 Portionen mitgeben :)

Klare, aufgeräumte Speisekarte mit guter Beschreibung der Gerichte, zu fairen Preisen, kitschfreier Gastraum in moderner/minimalistischer Ausführung, zusätzliche Außensitzplätze an der Straße. Super freundlicher, kompetenter Service - danke für die perfekten Tipps bei der Auswahl der Speisen- hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Das Essen war eine große Freude und für koreanisch Anfänger geschmacklich wie "handwerklich" ein großer Spaß. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend. Sehr leckeres Essen und gute vegetarische Auswahl. Ich habe das Bibimbap bestellt, da es hier in den Rezensionen sehr empfohlen wurde und meine Freundin, die Veganerin ist auch. Wir waren uns nur erst nicht ganz sicher ob es ganz vegan oder nur vegetarisch ist. Ein eindeutigerer Hinweis dazu auf der Karte wäre schön. Auf Nachfrage hat uns der sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter dann aber direkt erklärt, dass nur ein Teil Ei ist und der Rest vegan ist. Meine Freundin hat mir dann einfach das Ei rüber gegeben. Das Essen war echt sehr lecker und die Portion perfekt. Alles sehr schön angerichtet und die kleinen Schälchen mit Saucen und Suppe sehen auch sehr schön aus. Das koreanische Bier kann ich auch, selber eigentlich kein Bierfan, echt empfehlen. Wir waren unter der Woche abends dort und hatten sicherheitshalber einen Tisch reserviert. Es war aber nicht überfüllt und selbst als es anfing zu regnen, konnten wir uns von draußen an einen freien Tisch drinnen setzten. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Es gibt recht wenig Auswahl, aber dafür schmeckt es gut.

I was going to another place to eat, but passing by this restaurant, I noticed the decor and atmosphere that prevailed there and decided that I would turn around and change my destination. Even though most of the tables were booked, it wasn't a problem for me to order. Very quickly I received a large portion of Bibimbap with Kimchi and soup, which was very good and at an adequate price. A nice and smiling waiter, a warm decor that encourages you to spend time there, normal prices and very good quality. I will gladly take my friends there! 😊

Große Portionen, sehr leckeres Essen und ein super freundlicher Kellner. Wir hatten überhaupt nichts zu bemängeln.

So ein Service geht leider nicht. Erst lässt ihr Leute für 15 Minuten draußen auf einen Tisch warten und dann aber sagt, dass es überhaupt nicht möglich etwas zu essen.

When people coming to you and waiting for the table, better tell them right away that you are not going to serve them!!!

Hier kann man ein angenehmes koreanisches Abendessen genießen, die Karte ist klein, aber das passt zum Stil des Hauses. Die Speisen sind richtig lecker und sind sehr autentisch.

Best Korean food yet! Sehr leckeres traditionell koreanisches Essen. Aus meiner Sicht einer der besten Koreaner in Berlin. Sie machen ihre Saucen auch noch selbst. Die sind fantastisch!

베를린 여행 계획 메인 스케쥴 공연이 급 취소되어 우울함에 멍타임 하다 급 날아든 허기에 헛헛할땐 찌개에 소주만큼 영혼을 달래줄 음식이 없어 검색해서 온 곳인데 김치찌개에 혼자 소주 한병은 못하겠구.. 샷이 있길레 (와인 글래스 같은) 카스 해서 소맥으로~ 현지화되지 않은 맛이라 더욱 맛있고 위로되고 있습니다 호떡+아이스크림 추가 오더 해놓고 기다리면서 리뷰 씁니다 😆

불고기 메뉴가 소고기, 돼지고기 그리고 맵게 안맵게 네종류가 있는데 18유로 라는 가격에 많은 양의 불고기와 김치, 밥, 쌈채소 (9-10 장 정도?), 쌈장이 제공 되었다. 상당히 민족스러운 식사였으며 직원들도 매우 친절했다.

Das Essen ist gut, aber auch nicht herausragend. Ambiente nett, zum Glück jetzt überall mit normalen Stühlen statt Bänken wie früher. Service war auch solide gut. Gerne noch Fried Chicken auf die Karte, dann komme ich öfter 😊

Wohlschmeckendes Essen, Portionen großzügig bemessen. Reservierung vor allem abends empfehlenswert. Update März 2023: Die Speisen immer noch hervorragend (besonders empfehlenswert sind die vegetarischen Mandu sowie Bibimbap z.B. mit Tofu oder gebratenem Kimchi). Leider bietet das Restaurant keine Mehrwegverpackungen an. Und außerdem auch keine Zahlung mit EC-Karte. Schade!

I tried fried vegetable dumplings, bulgogi tang and honey plum tea. They were all so delicious and the Korean guy there (I don't know if he is the owner or waiter) was so kind. The only thing is service was a bit slow but it's not much of a problem if you're not in a hurry. Beware that the choices are limited (but all delicious).Anyway, definitely recommended!

Das Essen war lecker, vor allem Bulgogi ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Vorspeisen und andere Gerichte haben mich nicht beeindruckt. Das Personal ist sehr nett, freundlich vor allem zuvorkommend, wenn man Hilfe braucht! Das Ambiente ist sehr kuschelig. Man kann mit PayPal bezahlen 😊

Very friendly and quick service. Portions are large. We had the kimchi soup, bulgogi soup, bibimbap and hotteok and were all pleased with our orders. Many tables were reserved when we arrived, but were able to fit as a 3 on a smaller table — worth calling ahead if there aren't reservations available. No card-payment available, but a 10% discount was possible when paying via Luca.

음식이 짜지 않고 조미료도 첨가하지 않으시는 것 같아요. 재료가 좋고 쌀도 좋고 김치도 맛있습니다. 점심에 영업을 하지 않으셔서 아쉽네요

If you want to experience real korean food, then this restaurant will be the best choice in berlin. Kimchi-tang(actually kimchi-jjigae 김치찌개)and bulgogi with cheese are legit! Reasonable price, friendly staff! No reason to hesitate! Real Korean guarantee! 베를린 여행으로 들르시는 분들 한식 땡기면 여기 강추합니다! 한국에서 시켜먹는 맛이랑 다를 바 없어서 너무 좋았어요!

Gutes Essen und freundliche Bedienung. Die Suppe ist immer salzig aber Bimbab und Buldori sind immer lecker. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal bei Wawa und es hat das Potential, mein Lieblingskoreaner in Berlin zu werden. Große vegane Karte, großzügige Portionen - sowohl die Mandus als auch das Bibimbap waren absolut hervorragend. Meine Begleitung fand das Bulgogi auch sehr gut. Der Service war freundlich & flott und die Preise fair. Das Bibimbap hatte eine gute Größe. Das Restaurant ist total gemütlich. Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit, ich komme wieder.

Freundlicher Service, aber einfaches Ambiente, welches kaum mit den recht hohen Preisen korrelliert. Das Essen war leider sehr fad. Kimchisuppe vor allem scharf, aber ohne Geschmack. Ei vom Bibimbap verbrannt, Reis total trocken.

Excelente comida!!! El servicio es maravilloso, son muy amables y la comida la trajeron muy rápido 😍 súper recomendado. Sin reserva es casi imposible encontrar mesa.
