Chibo - Korean Chicken & Bowls in Berlin

Quite overpriced for the single components, I had. Maybe the bowls or salads are better. But 20 EUR for plain rice, small portion of deep fried chicken and kimchi was quite much despite the rather large portion. However, the chicken did not smell and did not taste good and was very fatty.

I used to be a loyal customer from years ago (2019). It started great, excellent food and staff. Recently the prices spiked incredibly. 14,20 for one bowl is a bit too much to be honest. Especially taking into account how it overall feels like it went downhill. Atmosphere inside is not the same. Service got so disappointing I don't leave the store thinking "I will come back again! :)". One point that I really want to stress is the cash handling and customer service. I had this situation happened two times already. I paid cash, and the money I got back was rounded up by 80 cents without being told a word. Normally you tell your customers you don't have change and let them decide. The staff just assumed I was okay with tipping 80 cents, that to be fair I don't mind tipping it as long as it is my decision. Last time, when I asked what's up with the money/change, she only said "20 *hand gestures* 80" and didn't even gave a proper explanation why. Maybe I'm missing some rule about cash payment but I find it honestly abhorrent to just assume people will tip you, without any feeling of customer service, it is just plain rude silent behavior.

Absolutely avoid ordering! Payment accepted, food never delivered. Never again!!

The chicken wings are very crispy yet juicy. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go there again.

5star no question. Only negative is that on sunday they open at 2 which is a bit late for lunch. Chicken is fantastic and if anything less choice for sauces would be better. Rice cakes, tteokbokki, are also good.cannot comment on anything else but I expect also good. Small selection of korean drinks which are not my kind of thing but that just my preference.

Super nice people, amazing food, and the service is so pleasant and friendly. If something goes wrong or something isn't agreed upon, they sometimes even give you extra food to make up for the misunderstanding.

The food is okay, but it's a bit tastier at a real Korean restaurant. I ate inside, and there's no way to wash my hands. The staff barely understands German, making it very difficult to order.

I drove the extra 45 minutes to see you every two days, bringing countless friends with me because I was firmly convinced: You're the best! Today – with visitors from Cologne and even New York – I wanted to share this experience with them. Unfortunately, it turned into a complete embarrassment. As soon as I entered, I noticed: Something wasn't right here. The store had a completely different vibe, the smell was unfamiliar, and the staff had completely changed – unfortunately, not for the better. Nevertheless, I thought to myself: Give it a chance. Big mistake. About the order: I got the Dak Dak Bowl as usual, which has since increased from 9 to a whopping 14 euros. I also got wings. The price would have been okay if the quality and taste were right – but there was absolutely NOTHING left. About the taste and experience: • The bowl was obviously prepared, not fresh. The fried egg was dry and rubbery, almost like scrambled eggs. • The wings tasted old, smelled unpleasant—almost rotten—and had absolutely nothing to do with their original flavor. • Instead of a Korean flair, everything tasted of cheap curry powder—completely off-topic. • The staff was stressed, unfriendly, and unhelpful—even though there were hardly any customers. • I'm writing this review at midnight—hours after the meal—with stomach cramps! And not just me—my two guests too! It pains me to write this—but what you're currently serving is a disgrace. No attention to detail, no freshness, no soul. And yes, I know, times are changing, staffing is scarce, costs are rising—but that doesn't justify such a service. Conclusion: • 30+ euros for a disappointing, almost disgusting meal. • A reputation you built over years, completely lost in just a few months. • I won't recommend anyone to go to you anymore – in fact, I actively advise against it! You used to be an insider tip – now, unfortunately, it's just a bad joke.

It's getting really bad guys and I am no longer being quiet about it. I really love your bowls and you have great chicken but the prices you pull up are a punch in the face. While you started with 9€ for a bowl which was really awesome for the size of the bowl I loved to come every week at least once. Therefore I was not mad about the first couple of price increases especially because there used to be a special offer. But since the last price increase you are charging 14.20€ for one bowl which is really insane. I still came although not so often anymore to support and get one of my favorite foods. But today I got a bowl with only as half as much rice and chicken as it used to be and I am really disappointed. That's way too much for a chicken salad with two spoons of rice and I don't feel like you really need that to survive. I honestly feel fooled and won't pay for this anymore.

My favorite Korean fried chicken place is in Charlottenburg, and I visit it regularly. The chicken is always delicious, and the service is incredibly friendly! Rohan, in particular, is my favorite. No matter what time I go in, he always greets me with a big smile and kindness!

The food was burnt. The wings tasted so bad. I had diarrhea and stomach cramps. The only highlight was the Indian woman with her beautiful smile, who made my day wonderful. But my stomach suffered. Oh, I also wrote a review myself three months ago, which, of course, you deleted.

A disappointing attempt at Korean cuisine, poorly executed and lacking authenticity. The dishes appear to be prepared by inexperienced university students, with little understanding of traditional flavors or techniques. The food quality is far below acceptable standards, making the inflated prices feel like a complete rip-off. To make matters worse, the establishment isn’t even run by Korean individuals, which further distances the experience from genuine Korean dining. Not worth a single star. I am not sure who has given 4.7 stars

Found it by chance and didn't regret it: the duck bowl was very tasty and filling. However, I would at least like 'real' cutlery if you stay there to eat.

Food is very tasty, too few seats, boring design. But €14 for the DakDak Bowl was worth it.

Very nice bowl. Good quality for a good price, it was really a lot, I couldn’t even finish it. The chicken matched perfectly with the slight sweet sauce and the sour kimchi. The chicken wings were very nice as well, crispy and I really liked the garlic sauce with it. Besides that the owner of the place was super friendly to us :))

Ready meals that have been sitting there for God knows how long. First time daring to eat that. And after months of being content with my stomach, I started feeling dizzy, nauseated and stomach ache right in the evening.

Unfortunately, you can't really eat in here, and the kitchen takes up almost the entire place. We had quite a few deliveries, and we had to wait a bit. Our Buldak Bowl, however, was fantastic. A super-tasty sauce and the amazing chicken were perfect. It came with rice, salad, plenty of (not so spicy) kimchi, and a good fried egg. I'd be happy to come back.

So, I‘ve been a regular-ish customer since Chibo has opened. Sadly, the last two times I feehl like the quality has gone down. First, I got my fav - the dakdak- bowl a couple weeks back it had hardly any sauce and the salad had seen better days. Second, I got bits with dizzy sauce today and they sadly forgot the sauce (I ending up dipping them in soy sauce at home which was fine). I would still recommend the place, but considering the prices these things shouldn‘t happen.

Ordered food through Wolt delivery. Low quality for decent price. Lettuce leaves are stale. Chicken is fatty rubbish. Rice is overcooked. Not tasty at all. Very different from what on pics. The cover one of 2 dishes was not closed properly

Here I got some delicious Korean style fried chicken to take away! It was fried immediately and ended up tasting great!! The meat was really juicy but the outside part was crispy! I tried both the original and the honey garlic sauce and I liked the second one the best! I recommend the chicken bites, which are easier to eat than wings. I didn't find prices that cheap, but Korean fried chicken costs a lot everywhere and Chibo isn't the most expensive shop in Berlin anyway. I also want to emphasize that the three boys who work there put in a lot of effort and are also extremely nice and polite!! Great service! But be careful, there are no seats here. Here you can either just order something from home or buy the chicken to take away!

I've ordered here many times and the food has always been delicious. Unfortunately, this time I found a hair in my flesh for the first time. This was disappointing as I actually really appreciate this restaurant. I hope that more attention is paid to hygiene so that something like this doesn't happen again.

I used to enjoy eating there - yesterday I had an incredibly unpleasant dining experience. Came by order. I was very hungry and wanted this food. The chicken was dry and the salad looked wilted. This no longer has anything to do with the food that was available there when the store opened. Never again !

Ordered take out many times from here before, stopped ordering about a year ago, because I would consistently get hair in my food. Decided to try and re order again and got hair in my food. Absolutely kills any appetite and is disgusting. Are hair caps too expensive nowadays?

Hands off! Probably deficiencies in food safety. I've been here a few times now and gotten bowls. So far everything has always been good. However, yesterday was the last time for me: there were three of us (a bowl each) and afterwards we all complained about stomach problems with diarrhea and vomiting. Unable to work the following day, absolute disaster. Urgent work should be done on food safety here.

There was no tableware in my house when I moved, so I spent 30 euros to make a note in two places that I needed tableware. As a result, only food was delivered, no cutlery, and the lid was not tightly closed. Hard to accept

The portions are too big. Who is going to eat all this? Half would have been absolutely enough. Had the small portion of bits and never want to eat anything again. Overall, as a person who was inexperienced with Korean Fried Chicken, the whole thing was too sweet for me. Maybe it's just not my thing.

! I ordered 2x Chicken Wings and 2x Chicken Bites through Uber Eats and what was delivered was a bad joke. The food arrived cold and soggy – anything but fresh or appetizing. Instead of the sauces being delivered separately in containers, as should be the case, they were simply poured directly onto the food. The result? The breading was completely soggy and inedible. Things got absurd, especially with the hot sauce: half of the chicken box was floating in a puddle of sauce and was practically inedible. To have something like this delivered after a delivery time of over an hour is not only audacious, but also a complete waste of money. One thing is certain for us: never again!

Apparently placed an unusual order ;) according to the young man at the counter. I can tell you, my decision was a bomb :) The only thing I didn't like was the rice, which was unfortunately a bit too mushy for me. Otherwise everything was great!

The chicken was very stale and even tasted rancid. The meat was very raw and had no moisture at all. It's not authentic Korean fried chicken at all, and there's not a single Korean in the entire kitchen. Don't come.

The dak-dak bowl was so delicious and gave me a taste orgasm, prices were also good so €12 is actually really good for a bowl (€10 would be perfect but good), you could also pay with a card. The only thing is that you don't really have a place to sit there, which is a bit of a shame. Otherwise everything was really good and we were really full
