WAVES Restaurant in Scharbeutz

The fries were okay. It would be nice if there were more vegan and healthy options.

The food was terrible. Nuggets were dripping with grease and took 16 minutes to cook. Taste was a 5. The salad was lackluster. Everything was way too expensive. Napkins were out, and the staff didn't wipe the tables even when they were dirty. They served almost exclusively fast food. No wonder almost all the customers there are severely overweight. The coffee was as expensive as a barista's, but the quality was below average. Too few tables.

We were there during the summer holidays, and it was naturally busy. The only vegetarian burger was "out of stock," and vegan options weren't listed at all. The avocado in the salad was brown, and the non-alcoholic beer was warm. On the other hand, the coffee wasn't any hotter. We waited about 15 minutes for fries. The ketchup comes in tiny plastic bags, which isn't very modern, and costs a whopping 50 cents per 20 ml. The fries were small, but "OK"... Overall, rather sad.

This time I made the mistake of ordering pasta with tomato sauce. The pasta was overcooked. Half the bowl was full of pasta water! That's what upset me the most. Simply disgusting. The kids had a kids' box, which was okay for €8. They all got a different toy with it, which was definitely higher quality than the stuff you get in the happy meal at Macces. The other prices, however, are completely outrageous. €4.50 for a 0.5 liter bottle of Mezzo is something else entirely. Last time I was there, I had fries, which were good. Except for the fact that you have to buy those little sachets of ketchup/mayo with them, which cost 50 cents each. That's absurd. Both in terms of plastic waste and the price. The employees are all friendly, but the store was pretty dirty and greasy.

The Big Wave Prime Burger was delicious, and so were the fish and chips. I highly recommend it.

Since I was swimming at the OstseeTherme spa, I visited Waves. I wanted something somewhat healthy, so I opted for a salad with falafel and a baked potato. I wasn't prepared for what came. The salad was the kind of pre-shredded salad you get from a bag at the supermarket. So, more stalks than leaves. And still really cold from the refrigerator. I added corn, a few kidney beans, and three pieces of bell pepper. Fryed the falafel in the deep fryer. The baked potato had more than one skin. The original skin, of course, and then another. I guess it had been cooked a long time ago. Sour cream was served separately. A water, and a coffee. €20.00!! I was really annoyed that I spent that money. I realize that an establishment like this can't have Michelin-starred cuisine, but it can certainly be better. I suspect that anything that can be fried is more edible there, but I won't be able to figure that out. First and last visit...

You order food at the counter and they give you a buzzer. The cheeseburger is okay if you absolutely have to have a burger. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a really delicious cheeseburger. The currywurst isn't anything special, but it's edible. The fries are decent, well-seasoned and crispy; you can definitely order them without hesitation.

Nice surroundings with friendly service. But the food is a disaster. We had currywurst with fries twice. Both of us had to eat everything the same evening. Never again!

For lunch, we had pasta dishes: the large portion was plentiful and delicious. Better than at some other swimming pools. In the afternoon, we had cake and coffee. That was okay, but not outstanding. It would be nice if the prices of drinks, for example, were posted on-site.

The food was a disaster! We ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and a Jägerschnitzel. What can I say? Cheap finished products of poor quality. We ate a little because we were really hungry, but left almost everything behind. We could have saved the money. Shortly afterwards I had to go to the toilet urgently and had diarrhea. Both of our stomachs hurt and just the thought of that meal still gives me goosebumps!

Ist eigentlich lecker :) Wenn man bedenkt dass es Fast Food ist.Das Essen wird einfach aufgetaut und frittiert.Salate sind auch ganz Okay.

Don't expect culinary masterpieces. Classic swimming pool food. Not a big selection (salad, fries, burgers, spagetti, tomato sauce, currywurst, salad). Prices are okay for that. Far too warm in the restaurant, far too loud outside the restaurant (swimming pool noise). It's a shame that there isn't a more quiet restaurant in the sauna area. 2 years ago there were 2 vegan dishes. Now all that's left is fries + salad.

Had fish & chips - it was delicious.

The fries are very tasty, but unfortunately they are also the only vegetarian/vegan savory option if you don't want to eat salad. A vegan currywurst or a soup would be appropriate for the time and would certainly be desired by many thermal bath visitors.

The employees are always nice and try to fulfill every wish.

Great food, everything delivered correctly, only the prices are increased. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Für ein Schwimmbad ein gutes Restaurant. Die Gerichte schmecken ok, ich feier den Ketchup hier. Essen kommt immer schnell, leider aber hatte ich ein mal einen Fall wo bestellte Pommes 3 Mal vergessen worden sind und später wegen Küchenschluss dann nicht mehr serviert worden sind. Die umsonst abgewiesen Zeit durfte ich aber dann länger in der Therme verbringen.

Wir haben das Waves "Restaurant" mit der Familie während eines Besuches in der Ostseetherme ausprobiert. Die Bezeichnung "Restaurant" ist ein wenig irreführend, zumindest wenn man "vor Ort gekocht" auf frisch zubereitete Speisen bezieht. Es handelt sich eher um einen Imbiss in dem Dinge mehr oder minder nur aufgewärmt, frittiert oder ähnliches werden. Erster negative Punkt: Das Restaurant öffnet erst um 12 Uhr und wenn es voll ist, dann bildet sich eine ziemlich lange Schlage. Also anstellen und warten, anstrengend mit kleinen hungrigen Mäulern. Der bestellte Burger war nicht gerade günstig und qualitativ auf McDonalds Niveau. Das Kids Menü bestand aus dem üblichen Fastfood und enthielt nicht wirklich gesunde Bestandteile, aber das ist leider eine sehr verbreitete Angelegenheit. Der Salat vom Buffet war ok. Alles in allem lautet die Empfehlung sich lieber vorm Besuch der Ostseetherme beim Bäcker Verpflegung zu besorgen.
