JUNGLE Restaurant in Scharbeutz

Wir waren zum 18. Geburtstag meiner Nichte dort und zu 8. Hatten vorher online reserviert, das ging gut. Das Erlebnis und Ambiente ist wirklich speziell. Ich persönlich habe es einmal erlebt und würde es nicht weiterempfehlen. Die Geräuschkulisse der Tiere ist wirklich laut und für sensible Menschen durchaus eine Herausforderung. Zudem der regelmäßige Lichtwechsel. Ich hatte die frische Pasta aus dem Parmesanlaib mit Trüffelsahne und Garnelen für 30€. Die Garnelen für 10€ Aufpreis waren m.E. eine gute Menge, leider sehr durch. Da es mir zu wenig nach Trüffel schmeckte, bat ich noch um ein wenig geriebenen Trüffel und bekam eine weitere volle Sauciere mit Soße. Meine Nichte freut sich über noch mehr Soße. Ich erklärte erneut, dass ich gerne nur ein wenig frisch geriebenen Trüffel haben würde. Bekam erneut Soße, dieses Mal nur weniger. Ich gab sie direkt zurück und versuchte nochmal zu erklären, was mein Anliegen war, aber dass es auch egal sei und ich nun endlich meine Pasta essen möchte, da sie nun schon kalt wird. Ich fing an zu essen und plötzlich kam ein Kellner mit einer Sauciere mit flüssiger Butter. Da wurde mir klar, dass hier nicht mit frischem Trüffel gearbeitet wird und ich erklärte dem Kellner erneut mein eigentliches Anliegen. Endlich verneinte er dann auch, dass sie keine frischen Trüffeln nutzen. Diese Aussage direkt am Anfang und es wäre diese kleine Arie erspart gewesen. Womit ich auch völlig leben kann, wenn man eben nicht mit frischem Trüffel arbeitet. Dennoch in dem Punkt zumindest bemüht. Der Nachservice ließ zu wünschen übrig. Keine Frage nach einem Dessert oder einem weiteren Getränk, obwohl alle Gläser leer waren. Das ist sowohl aus Kunden, als auch wirtschaftlicher Sicht für das Restaurant sehr schade. Dazumal das Restaurant nicht sonderlich voll war. Aber die Kellner waren sehr freundlich. Die anderen Gäste waren mit ihren Gerichten relativ zufrieden und hätte ich die Info mit dem Trüffel direkt erhalten, wäre ich wohl auch etwas zufriedener. Die Salzmischung bei den Edamame fand ich sehr gut. Insgesamt war es für mich jedoch den Besuch nicht wert, aber man kann es durchaus als eine Erfahrung betrachten.

Mega Ambiente mit den lebendig erscheinenden Tieren und echten Dschungelgeräuschen.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön und liebevoll gestaltet – modern, gemütlich und mit einer besonderen Atmosphäre, in der man sich auf den ersten Blick wohlfühlt. Leider wird dieser positive Eindruck etwas durch die recht laute Geräuschkulisse getrübt, sodass es auf Dauer schwierig ist, sich entspannt zu unterhalten. Die Vorspeisen waren in Ordnung, allerdings eher durchschnittlich und geschmacklich nicht besonders hervorstechend. Positiv zu erwähnen sind die Kinderportionen – diese waren gut gemacht, wenn auch etwas zu groß bemessen. Enttäuschend war leider mein Hauptgericht: die Trüffelnudeln. Diese haben weder nach Trüffel noch nach Parmesan geschmeckt, obwohl sie als Nudeln aus dem Parmesan-Laib angekündigt waren. Stattdessen waren in der Soße ganze Pfefferkörner enthalten, die so nicht auf der Karte ausgewiesen waren und geschmacklich eher störend wirkten. Das Gericht entsprach daher überhaupt nicht den Erwartungen, sodass ich es zurückgehen ließ. Sehr positiv hervorzuheben ist allerdings der Service: Der Mitarbeiter hat professionell und verständnisvoll reagiert und das Gericht anstandslos von der Rechnung genommen. Das war wirklich vorbildlich. Insgesamt bleibt jedoch ein eher durchschnittlicher Eindruck, insbesondere was die Qualität und den Geschmack der Speisen betrifft. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrung habe ich auch kein weiteres Gericht mehr bestellt.

Das Ambiente ist schön gemacht, für die Kinder gibts viel zu entdecken. Leider aber nicht genug um die lange Wartezeit - obwohl nur zu 50% belegt - von knapp ner Stunde zu überbrücken. Essen maximal ok, Bratkartoffeln relativ kalt und offensichtlich und geschmacklich aus der Großpackung. Dafür zu teuer.

Grottenschlechter Service und ein Essen, das in keinem nachvollziehbaren Verhältnis zu den verlangten Preisen steht. Trotz Reservierung wurden wir beim Eintreffen zunächst überhaupt nicht empfangen. Wir standen längere Zeit sichtbar im Eingangsbereich und wurden nicht beachtet. Erst nachdem wir schließlich selbst ins Restaurant gegangen sind und dort erneut gewartet haben, wurden wir irgendwann angesprochen – kurz bevor wir schon wieder gehen wollten. So etwas habe ich trotz Reservierung noch nie erlebt. Das Essen war leider ebenso enttäuschend. Ich hatte ein extrem dünnes Kalbsschnitzel (geschätzt ca. 1 mm), das nahezu geschmacklos war und eine gummiartige Konsistenz hatte. Ich konnte nicht einmal die Hälfte davon essen. Danach lag mir das Essen auch noch unangenehm schwer im Magen. Die Kinder bekamen ein einfaches Nudelgericht mit wenigen Stückchen Hähnchen, kaum gewürzt und ebenfalls nahezu ohne Geschmack. Auch das vegetarische Gericht meiner Frau konnte geschmacklich leider nicht überzeugen. Optisch ist das Ambiente zwar aufwendig gestaltet, allerdings laufen im Hintergrund dauerhaft sehr häufig und relativ laut Tiergeräusche in einer Dauerschleife. In Kombination mit der langen Wartezeit von etwa 30–45 Minuten auf das Essen wurde der Aufenthalt für uns insgesamt eher belastend als angenehm. Insgesamt verbrachten wir – inklusive der Zeit, bis wir überhaupt beachtet wurden – rund 1,5 Stunden dort. Für das gebotene Essen und den Service empfand ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis als sehr schlecht. Mein Eindruck ist, dass viele Gäste vermutlich hauptsächlich wegen der Lage kommen. Für uns persönlich war es jedoch kein Restaurantbesuch, den wir wiederholen würden. Selbst eine nahegelegene einfache Fastfood Alternative war für uns an diesem Tag die bessere Wahl gewesen. Für uns insgesamt eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Daher absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Tisch für den 30.01.2026 reserviert – bei Ankunft war das Restaurant einfach geschlossen. Begründung vor Ort: Umbauarbeiten. Was uns besonders geärgert hat: Keine vorherige Information, obwohl unsere Kontaktdaten vorlagen. Wir sind extra aus Lübeck angereist und standen mit unseren Kindern vor verschlossener Tür. Auf unsere anschließende Nachfrage und Bitte um eine kulante Lösung (z. B. Gutschein) kam trotz Erinnerung keinerlei Reaktion mehr. Fehler können passieren – aber so mit Gästen umzugehen, ist enttäuschend und wenig professionell.

Das Dschungel-Restaurant überzeugt vor allem durch sein außergewöhnliches Ambiente – mit viel Liebe zum Detail ist das Thema Dschungel kreativ und stimmungsvoll umgesetzt. Man fühlt sich direkt in eine andere Welt versetzt. Der Service war nett und das Personal durchweg freundlich, was den Besuch zusätzlich angenehm gemacht hat. Das Essen war gut, und die Portionsgröße war in Ordnung. Allerdings sind die Preise insgesamt recht hoch angesetzt, und es fehlen Menüangebote, was das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis etwas schmälert. Insgesamt ein schönes Erlebnis mit toller Atmosphäre, jedoch mit Luft nach oben bei der Preisgestaltung.

Mega! Tolles Ambiente mit dem vielen sich bewegenden Urwaldtieren. Klasse Konzept. Nettes Personal. Das Essen ist nicht ganz günstig, aber lecker .

Simply awful, or just not to my taste. Neither the silly jungle decor nor the food. My recommendation: eat somewhere else.

The food was good, but from the main course to the mini dessert it was far too expensive; you're clearly paying for the ambiance of a 4-star hotel.

Delicious food, super friendly service. We booked online, which worked perfectly. The atmosphere is something different – ​​we didn't realize it would be so noisy. The lights even come on occasionally 🤣 It was fun, but you have to like that sort of thing – the animals moving around and making noises is amusing. It wouldn't have worked with our dog, but it was fine with us 😁

Hi everyone, just a heads-up: We called a week before our reservation to ask if dogs were allowed at Jungle. We were told it was very dog-friendly. If the noises from the other animals at Jungle wouldn't stress our dog, a visit with a dog wouldn't be a problem at all. On Valentine's Day, we were a group of six at the entrance to Jungle with our dog. Our small, very friendly, and quiet dog was refused entry because management had decided otherwise. We weren't the only ones refused entry with our dog. No one else with a dog was allowed in! At least that was consistent. So, unfortunately, I can't comment further on the food, service, or atmosphere, but those have already been mentioned several times. Regards, Wolfgang

A nice restaurant with a unique atmosphere. The animal noises get a bit annoying after a while, as do the changing lights. At times it was very dark, so you really had to pay attention while eating. The food was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the ribs didn't completely fall off the bone, which was a shame. A great experience for families with children, but not particularly recommended for everyone else.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. It's quite pricey; you're paying for the experience/ambience, and that's fine. The service could be more attentive. For children, it's an exciting and wonderful adventure. There's lots to discover, so they won't get bored.

On January 2nd, 2026, our group of 10 had booked two months in advance. Unfortunately, no table was reserved for us. Three tables were immediately pushed together, but we had to get the missing chairs ourselves. That was it! We sat at a table for almost an hour that hadn't even been cleared. We realized we were being completely ignored and the staff was totally overwhelmed. We wanted to give the two children who were with us a treat, which, of course, went completely wrong. We unfortunately had to leave the restaurant and were lucky enough to find another place to enjoy our dinner.

The ambiance is truly wonderful, with the day/night atmosphere and the sounds of the animals – definitely recommended for families. However, the food is not comparable to that of the hotel restaurant; unfortunately, the quality is rather mediocre. As a couple, we found the stay to be something different, but were rather disappointed with the food and will not be returning.

The four of us went to this restaurant, but after 10 minutes my daughter and her boyfriend left because the noise was too much for them. Well, we were in the jungle, as the name suggests. We thought it was something different. There were animal sounds everywhere, some of which were quite loud. It was sometimes difficult to have a conversation, but as I said, you don't experience something like that every day. Our food was delicious, and the price was reasonable. We were served very quickly and politely. Our dog was also very welcome; he didn't like the hanging monkey at first, but he soon got used to it. All in all, a really fun experience.

The food is very good. However, the menu could be expanded. I think it would be appropriate to offer a little more so that there's something for everyone.

Reviews are always subjective, and it's important to know that I, over 50, was there alone for dinner. It's probably great fun for kids, but for me it was very tiring and even annoying… you really have to like that monkey on the ceiling that makes loud noises every two minutes! I didn't, and went straight to my hotel room after eating and paying. As for the food: the BBQ burger was okay, but the patty (probably frozen and overcooked) and the bacon weren't crispy at all… we make our own burgers at home, so maybe I have a different standard. The fries were perfect, the shandy unfortunately didn't have a flower – but there are plenty of those on the walls, right? 😂 I wouldn't recommend it for guests WITHOUT children!

At first glance, it looks like there should be something for vegans (and gluten-free). Far from it. The veggie burger contains egg. The salad only comes with a dressing containing milk (I wasn't offered any other option). The coconut curry soup contains cream, etc. On top of that, it's quite an expensive outing with children. The kids, however, absolutely loved it!

Unfortunately, our food took forever to arrive despite asking, and we were there at 5 p.m., not during the main meal time. Strangely, after asking where our food was, we received our main course within five minutes. While we were waiting, we didn't feel like complaining about our dishes; one was relatively tasteless, the other only slightly warm. The drinks were very good. And the female server on the evening of October 22nd went out of her way to make a real effort—thank you very much for that. The restaurant felt understaffed. The jungle itself is beautifully designed with lovely highlights.

On October 20th, I celebrated my 40th birthday here (2 adults + 2 children), and I have to say, I've eaten in many restaurants, but never in one like this! The location is simply breathtaking; there's so much to explore, everything is so meticulously designed. You really feel like you're eating in a jungle. Absolutely amazing! I don't understand the negative reviews; the fact that it sometimes gets dark is part of the concept; the whole restaurant operates like an amusement park. The food and drinks were very good, and the service was quick and courteous.

The wait for the appetizer alone took over an hour. The bruschetta was well presented and tasty. The main course, burgers, which arrived after 1.5 hours, looked good, but the meat was overcooked, and the onions and other ingredients were tasteless. The service was attentive and friendly, but for these prices, it has to be better overall. I can't recommend it at the moment.

We waited 1.5 hours for the food. The burger was as dry as a shoebox. I've never left food on my plate before, but it was necessary. The prices weren't worth it either. Absolutely terrible...

The prices are far from good and bad considering the quantity and quality: €30 for spare ribs (max. 300g) poorly seasoned, beef burgers overcooked. Drinks were stale, and the wait for food was two hours at max 35% capacity, and other guests had already left. A shame ☹️ First time and also the last. Not recommended.

A Mexican restaurant in a very special ambience

So extraordinary and amazing! The food isn't exactly cheap, but it tastes great. So, it's not a deal breaker for me. The menu is well-stocked, and my non-alcoholic cocktail tasted very good. I walked through the jungle with wide eyes, amazed. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Since my child couldn't come with me and I still wanted to bring home a souvenir, I was able to purchase a stuffed animal at the counter. We'll definitely be back, this time with my child.

I don't understand some people's reviews at all... The food tastes really good, we had 🍔. The cocktails are delicious. The atmosphere is, of course, fantastic! I can only say positive things. We're actually going back tomorrow for 🍔 food!

The Jungle isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience! The food is delicious. The recent addition of Mexican dishes is wonderful, as the selection in the area is otherwise sparse. Hopefully, they'll stay on the menu. The staff is quick and friendly and was happy to help with souvenir photos of the entire table. The tropical rainforest ambiance, with jungle animals making lifelike sounds, is unique. Occasionally, a thunderstorm with lightning and thunder passes through, which results in a dimming of the lights, but which completes the jungle experience. You should definitely take the time to admire the elaborate decor. There are so many details to discover!

The quality has been steadily declining for years. The menu is getting thinner and thinner; this time the few decent dishes were "sold out" by 7:30 p.m. The whole thing is just show and substance. This is definitely our last time here. Six of us spent almost €300 here, left hungry, and this time we were more than disappointed. A total failure. The star is only for the service.

A lovely restaurant experience for kids, with great attention to detail. Friendly staff, and the food was served promptly and was delicious. There should be something for every taste here, whether meat, burgers, or fish. The value for money is reasonable.

I would have liked to give more points for the food if it had been available! Dinner in the Jungle was part of the overnight arrangement, meant "Lovers and Best Friends." That was the first sticking point. I thought we were in the children's play area at Heidepark! It was almost impossible to have a conversation because of all the noise, and the constantly changing lighting was annoying (apparently meant to simulate thunderstorms in the Jungle, among other things)... After two hours, we had an appetizer and were still sitting with our first drinks (which were empty, of course), two waitresses were visibly working hard in a packed house. After the neighboring tables left (also without main courses), we locked ourselves out and went up to the bar. Apparently, everything was running smoothly there, with plenty of service, and no one knew anything about the problems "downstairs." At reception, they offered to deduct the meal from the package price. I heard that I would have liked at least a compensation drink, a voucher, or something similar. Recommendation for the hotel... 1. A restaurant like this doesn't belong in a "Lovers..." package. 2. If you have problems, communicate clearly and openly from the start and offer solutions upfront, such as a free drink of your choice, a credit note, a rebooking at another restaurant, or, or, or...

The two of us ate there and we enjoyed it very much. The ambience with the many animals, images and sounds is special. We would eat here again.

For the kids, not for the food.

Unfortunately no recommendation. The portions are very large. The starter was basically a main course. The burger of the main course was subpar. The beef definitely came from the freezer. These then have to be cooked through, which unfortunately wasn't the case... The service was good so far and responded well to criticism. It is also definitely too loud for a quiet dinner. Maybe nice for children.

Great atmosphere for adults too. The guests' conversations often drown out the animal noises. Cocktails & burgers are tasty but nothing extraordinary. Kelner was friendly and the food was served promptly.

We went there to eat with our young or adult children and the children found the atmosphere so interesting that they went through the restaurant to take a look at everything. This is certainly a highlight for smaller children. However, the burgers were below average, the fries were almost unseasoned and a bit too soft and the menu was very clear. Actually too little of everything on the menu. Food allergies could not be taken into account; on the first attempt, despite detailed notes for the kitchen and hardly any activity in the shop, everything that was no longer supposed to be on the plate was still on the plate. On the second attempt the turkey steak was still half raw. At least the failed attempts were not calculated. We then had to go to another restaurant to satisfy our guest with allergies. The toilet rooms were only lit with an emergency lamp.

We go to the “Jungle” every holiday because our children love it and we simply enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The children can move freely without anyone complaining. We didn't find the animal noises disturbing and if you go to a place like this you should be aware beforehand that it is a little quieter. Unfortunately I also have to deduct points for the food. The prices are quite high, especially for the children's meals. These would probably be smaller so that the portion would also be manageable for a child. The portion of children's spaghetti is so large that the tomato sauce that is served separately is not enough and has absolutely no taste for me. When we ordered a little more tomato sauce, it was charged for, which we didn't think was right. My recommendation to the operator is to use a little less pasta and more sauce (with flavor). We had nothing wrong with the burger. The increased prices are probably due to the unique ambience, but in my opinion they are too expensive. That's why we eat there at most once on vacation.

What a great experience in the jungle ❤️ We just got home and are still amazed by the food, the JUNGLE (jungle) and the service 😍 My parents, my husband, our 5-year-old daughter and I have rarely felt so comfortable in a restaurant 🤗 It took some getting used to that it got very dark at times (jungle night), but it was fine 😜 There was a lot to see (including giraffes, big cats, elephants, crocodile, monkeys, birds, snakes) and the animal sounds in the background were fascinating. The waiter fulfilled our every wish and was very courteous and personable despite the restaurant being full. We are full of praise and will come back! Thank you thank you thank you ♥️♥️♥️

This themed restaurant is a must-try experience. Definitely a must-visit for families with children if you're in the area. Reservations may be advisable during peak season; there was plenty of space during off-season. Prices are a bit high, but the ambiance is forgettable.

The atmosphere is more suited to children or a family visit. The food is overpriced and the quality is unfortunately poor. You can taste the old frying oil in the fries, and the burgers are simple and poorly made for the price. A rib rack (line length approx. 30 cm) including the aforementioned fries costs over 30 euros. Sorry, but you'd expect good quality and appropriate products. The service was OK. But we definitely won't be eating there again.

It's definitely a hit for children, but we were rather annoyed by the croaking of the artificial animals. The small aquarium was nice.

Unfortunately, our first visit to the Jungle Restaurant was also our last. The food was ok but for the prices?! – the burger in particular for the price was neither convincing in terms of taste nor worth the price. There were also problems with billing: the waitress assured us in advance that the side dishes were included in the price, but in the end they were still charged. When we raised this, it was dismissed as a “misunderstanding”. If we had known that, we would have shared the side dish - especially since the fries and mayonnaise weren't particularly good anyway. After this experience, we decided not to tip, and the service (particularly Mr. S.D.) didn't even say goodbye to us. The ambience is creatively designed, but the constant animal noises make relaxed conversation almost impossible. It's hard to believe that this restaurant is part of Bayside. Unfortunately not a recommendation – and definitely the last time for us.

Phew, unfortunately that was nothing. One point for the outstanding ambience (the children loved it), one point for the friendly service. Unfortunately there are a lot of deductions for the food and the really outrageous prices. Noodles were hard (if you can't manage that), burgers were ok, but nothing more. Children's meals for €12.50 are a disgrace, the portion wasn't even manageable for an adult. Half would have been more than enough. Then it's better to have less on your plate and less on your bill. Burgers cost just under €20. Fries extra €6!!! and the awesome thing: portion of mayo €2, portion of ketchup €2. Drinks are also expensive. In short, it is simply far too expensive for the quality of the food. Apparently you pay for the ambience here. We recommend Johannsens in Niendorf and Peter Pane in Timmendorfer Strand. You get much better quality at fair prices.

We wanted to go to the Jungle Restaurant for the second time today because the child wanted it because he couldn't be there on the first visit. Now, surprisingly, there was a new ban on dogs. Since it was only average on the first visit and the price-performance ratio was zero, we only gave it 1 star today. The ambience was nice, the background noise took some getting used to, the food was pretty average, so we left again today and we won't be visiting there again.

We were in the Scharbeutz jungle this evening – and it was simply outstanding! The experience was a real highlight, especially for our nine-year-old son. He was really impressed by the animated animals and the entire atmosphere. We weren't disappointed in terms of food either: the nachos with the various dips were super tasty, and the steak was cooked to perfection. We did have to wait a little longer for our food, but the great service more than made up for it - including a drink on the house! All in all a great experience for the whole family. We'll definitely be back! Clear recommendation. 🌿🍽️

Hello, I can't understand some of the reviews from people here. For us it was a wonderful restaurant with an experience and super fast service and we had enough and tasty food. Of course you pay for the location and ambience and staff costs, but that's what it was unique to us.

Ambiance is very nice! Price/performance ratio is not appropriate. Fries tasted like nothing and were fried “dead”. The meat from the burger was dry and tasteless. If the food gets better, I'll be happy to come back.

Great ambience, prices a bit high. Really great for children with the moving animals

Both the food and the service were subpar. Either the wrong burger came, it was only lukewarm or too salty. Constantly making the excuse that it's the kitchen's fault. Drinks were missing and only came when asked, same for the dessert. Staff does not accept constructive criticism at all. It's just the kitchen's fault, they don't answer the phone, the walk is too far (food comes from above but why is that my problem?), the gas stove is broken (we were the first and last to get food?). Food is very expensive and I expect at least warm food. We've probably been there 5 times (because the kids like being there so much) but the price-performance ratio is really ridiculous. Beautiful decoration doesn't compensate for the poor service and the less than mediocre food. The ambience that we were there for has also deteriorated extremely. It just got a little dark, there was no more “jungle”, no more thunderstorms, no more jungle noises. When asked by the children, “broken”. We definitely won't be coming back.

I found the light switch from light to almost dark while eating a bit unusual but interesting

Hmmm... I'm kind of disappointed. I had a rump steak (€26 for the steak alone), and anything you wanted with it had to be paid for extra. I don't know what they seasoned the meat with, but I felt kind of sick afterward. I probably should have researched the restaurant better beforehand, but who does that?

The food wasn't great! We were there two days in a row...the food wasn't great...but the animals and the jungle creatures were beautiful to look at...I still have a catchy tune stuck in my head...robbirobbi

Today we had dinner in the Jungle with a large group. I can't understand the bad reviews. The food was really good on all of our plates and the service was extremely attentive. I can fully recommend the restaurant.

I had some concerns because of the many negative reviews. Had various starters. Came very quickly and were very tasty. The service was very friendly and kept asking if everything was OK and if you needed anything else. We thought the ambience was great. Strongly reminiscent of the Rainforest Café in London or Paris. Would love to come back.

We had a family dinner there today and were really impressed. Great ambience, super fast and extremely friendly service with delicious food. The restaurant is not only recommended for children with all the highlights. Price/performance absolutely okay! Thank you very much for the great evening with you!

I can't say anything about the food, we ate out and only had a cocktail here to end the evening. We had so much fun! Unfortunately my children 3 and 1 weren't there, but we'll come back again. You will love it... The ambience is simply great and has been designed with a lot of love and attention to detail. When you read the comments here, you can sometimes just shake your head. The prices are the same as in any other hotel restaurant. The whole family gets a real show here. And of course this isn't the right place for most business meals, but the hotel does have another restaurant and you should probably just see what awaits you there beforehand and not give it one star just because it's not for you is.

I was very disappointed with my visit to the Jungle Restaurant at Hotel Bayside. The prices are simply outrageous, especially considering the quality of the food. The burger patties were obviously frozen, both the minced meat patty and the chicken patty were of inferior quality. I've never eaten such a bad burger. Since this restaurant is part of the Hotel Bayside, you would expect good quality and delicious food given the prices. The restaurant cannot be recommended at all!

At first I find it irritating what this jungle concept has lost on the Baltic Sea. In addition, this restaurant is part of the elegant Bayside Hotel. Because we belonged to the Bayside Hotel, we had certain expectations when it came to the quality of the food as well as the ambience and facilities. I found the furnishings and quality of these really questionable. It all seemed very cheap. The penetrating music or background noise (jungle noises) was rather annoying, obtrusive and, above all, loud. In addition, the lights were dimmed here and there - to simulate a night in the jungle including a loud thunderstorm front. This is very similar to an amusement park or a children's disco. The food is a straight 5 in this one Load. 1) nothing to do with the concept of jungle (burgers, tuna etc.) 2) grossly overpriced We ordered several burgers. All tasteless, below-average tasting frozen goods. Expensive soft toys are sold at the bar and are even mentioned on the menu. The service was okay, even if the waiter didn't care whether you really liked it or not. Simply accepted and cashed in.

I have eaten in this restaurant on the first evening, during my two nights stay at the Bayside Hotel where we have held the annual company sales meeting. This restaurant is in my opinion more for children, as the entire restaurant is filled with artifical wild animals, which also make real sounds and show movement affects. You feel like you're in a Zoo 😄 The quality of the food is ok, there is nothing negative to say about that, but if you are part of a company group like we were, it is better to eat in the other restaurant of this hotel called Roof, which we also did on the 2nd evening.

We were just eating there 4 people and we were one of the first tables. Our table was booked for 6 p.m. and a quarter of an hour later a waiter came and took our order. From then on things went radical! Downhill!!! After about half an hour the drinks arrived and after another quarter of an hour the “starter” arrived. In the meantime, all the other tables were served, got their food, paid and left... WE STILL HAD NO FOOD! 2! Complaints later, after another apology, our “food” arrived. “Burgers” made from RAW!!! Mince and due to the cold, unmelted cheese slice passed... Conclusion: The “food” has gone back. We paid an exorbitant sum for coke and fries for bad service and no food and left hungry and disappointed again at 8:15 p.m. Thank you…

Our 3 year old daughter was thrilled by the animals and couldn't stop being amazed. The service was friendly, the burgers were delicious (could have been a little hotter...) and the side fries easily fed 3 people. Despite initial skepticism because of the bad reviews, we liked it and will come back. :)

Yesterday we were in the jungle with 7 people at 5:30 p.m. We were almost the first ones in the restaurant. We placed our order as the 4th table and had to wait 70 minutes. wait for the food. The food was okay so far. For a burger with fries, however, €25. You pay for the ambience here. The atmosphere is very nice for children. Without children I probably wouldn't come back. Our table next door ordered food at 6:00 p.m. when about 3/4 of the tables were full, they still hadn't gotten their food at 8:00 p.m. The staff on site tried very hard and did their best. However, they were significantly understaffed with 4 people.

We were there with the family to celebrate my father's birthday. The atmosphere is jungle, the animals move and make noises. So far okay. The service was very attentive but the food wasn't really adequate for the price. The salmon was well cooked but arrived lukewarm and the vegetables were cold. This shouldn't happen in a good restaurant!

The service was very friendly and accommodating. The decoration fits the name, but when you sit for a long time it quickly becomes annoying due to all the noise. Unfortunately, the pepper sauce was way too over-seasoned, as was the side dish. Unfortunately the rump steak was very tough and rare even though I ordered medium. Steak with side dish and beer around €42

You can reserve the table online. Our dog was allowed into the restaurant and even got something to drink. Everything is easy to reach and find. The restaurant is located underneath the Hotel Bayside, which is located directly on the promenade. The service is very courteous and friendly. The food (we had the salmon avocado tart as a starter and the baby back ribs & mega jungle burger as main courses) was very tasty. Food also reached us relatively quickly and our hunger was quickly satisfied 😉 We can recommend this restaurant just because of the atmosphere (like in a jungle and the sounds). It's a great experience for young and old!

Be careful, eating the food can cause serious health problems. We went there for dinner for our daughter's birthday. The atmosphere is very great and exciting for smaller children. The meat in the burgers was raw and the other dishes didn't taste great either. The prices of the food are far too high and many side dishes such as fries have to be ordered at a high surcharge. And when you leave the restaurant, the hassle of the high parking fees is added again. Visiting the restaurant is definitely not recommended!

To start with the positive the outpatient is ok for children. But then the positive ends. The food is more than bad. Burgers miserable and the chicken nuggets… overpriced. Beer 8 euros 0.4.

I can only agree with the large number of visitors. The food was a disaster, dishes cold, some raw (as if thawed). The atmosphere is great, especially for children. The food is expensive but not of good quality. Unfortunately, the service couldn't save anything, it was good but had to apologize several times, it was clearly unpleasant for him. Hello, it was our first time eating there, the atmosphere was very nice and the kids were very happy, they went there because of the experience and the children's eyes. The food was good and the Mega Burger & Salmon was very tasty. In terms of price, it's a little more expensive than expected, especially for children's meals, but veal schnitzel isn't available everywhere for kids. Overall, I didn't find anything negative. Will come back and happily recommend it to others.

A great experience through and through. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Service was very friendly and tried to fulfill all wishes. Eating out with two small children is always chaotic, but not this time. We'll be back

The only positive thing, at least for the children, is the ambience. It's just something special. But that's about it. I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. The hamburgers were raw and cold. The steak was tough as leather. And at prices that make you grab your head. Absolutely not justified. Yesterday I was there for the first and last time. I'm annoyed that I actually paid the full price on the "My God, the main thing is to get out of here" train. But what was cool was that the waiter said afterwards that “the good chef” had already finished work and that someone was cooking for us. And that at 8 p.m. Never again.

The waiters were overwhelmed, we waited almost an hour for our food. My wife's steak was bloody and had lots of tendons. We ordered it medium. We would have gotten a replacement, but that would have taken forever. The noodles for our grandchild were saltless and only tasted watery. It couldn't be more loving. The small bowl of catchup that we ordered also cost €2. My burger was OK. Great atmosphere, but the kitchen ruins everything. Since it's not that cheap, everything should be right. I would not recommend anyone to visit the Jungle Restaurant

The ambience is extraordinary. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the food. Burger and BBQ chicken very dry, baked potato not very fresh. Certainly worth an experience for children, but not for us two older ones.

I went there for dinner with my girlfriend and was ultimately very disappointed. I just don't understand the good comments and reviews about the food. The food is really underground. We had burgers and fries and I've rarely had such a bad meal. I'm pretty sure almost everything is frozen food unfortunately. That can be a good thing in principle, but I have never eaten such a bad beef patty (dry, tough, gristly and strange taste). The cheese of the chilli cheese fries simply... Now to the positive: The staff is really super friendly and the atmosphere for children is really great! Conclusion: If you eat here you have to dig deep into your pockets because the prices are really not cheap. The burger is available without a side dish and must be purchased separately. But for families who want to offer their children a little experience and want to make compromises on the food, the restaurant is certainly good for them. Unfortunately, most people go to restaurants to eat.

It was very tasty except that there was a piece of meat in the sweet potato fries. The atmosphere was nice with the animals moving around. The effects of the lightning were nice, first bright then dark, the sounds are like in the jungle it is recommended and suitable for small children. The restaurant lives exclusively from the really great illuminated and decorated interior. This is really great and great to have experienced. Unfortunately, the rest is underground and should be roofed over as soon as possible. And those responsible should read the review here. It's always the same problem, namely the food and the waiting time. The burgers we had were good in themselves. In contrast to the rump steak, very rare instead of ordering medium rare. Baked potato ok but it must have been ready-made quark, because there was also the packaging seal in the quark as a free side dish. When complaining about this there was a half-hearted apology and that was it. We waited over an hour for our food, but the products took far too long to be ready. And then the awesome price of an average of €30 per dish. Without drinks. Absolutely outrageous for such a posh hotel. Conclusion Even if the concept is really great and worth experiencing, the food takes away from the enjoyment. The kitchen and its management really, really need an overhaul.

This location is absolutely awesome. You think you're sitting in the jungle. Everything moves. And the sound backdrop is awesome. Food and service were also very good 👍 👍

You don't go there for the food and the service, but for the ambience - it really is a dream for children. Regarding the food: every frozen meal is easily comparable to the one served here - a first improvement would be to provide warm food. Regarding the service: Tried, but overwhelmed. The basics of running a restaurant are obviously missing. The concept only works because of the ambience and the location in a holiday area.

We ate there today and I have to say first of all that the ambience is beautifully done... but that's where it ends... We ate bruschetta and in general given the extremely high prices on the menu, the food (just the starter) wasn't even remotely worth the money, I'm a trained cook myself and it wasn't all bruschetta, the bread tasted like it was from yesterday There were only diced tomatoes, no love in this dish and everything was missing, which was a disgrace since I come from a professional background. You could do so much with the restaurant, the menu just doesn't make sense, offering a veal schnitzel for €17 rounded up just for children, that I'm scratching my head... A pity

Over 1.5 hours waiting time. Overpriced, burger was delivered dead. Staff unfriendly. Toilets were very dirty. Orders mixed up. Unfortunately 0 stars are not possible.

Unfortunately, the food was very mediocre and incredibly expensive. For three drinks, two dishes and a children's meal just under €100 is a lot. Some of the food was cold and unfortunately also wrong, so I went back. A glass of cola for just under €6 is quite expensive. Things that were supposed to be brought to us specially. Forget. Ambiance is of course cool. But that was it. The ventilation definitely needs to be worked on. That was so stuffy. It was particularly bad in the toilets. Parking for less than 3 hours at €9 is also added on top. It used to be nice but we won't come back.

We were there for the first time today and it was more than impressive. The atmosphere is really great, the children's eyes couldn't stop being amazed and we adults have never seen anything like it either and were really very positively surprised. The service was very nice. Everything went really quickly and it was very clean. The food was really good. The portions were huge! The children's portions are also incredible! Yes, you might pay a little more in terms of price than elsewhere, but it's worth it. We paid 110 euros for 2 adults + 2 children and were more than full... Will definitely come back.

Without a doubt, this is a great restaurant experience. The ambience is something very special and for children the food becomes a minor matter here. That's why we were willing to pay over 30 euros for a dish. The drinks here are also above average in price. However, the quality of the food was below average. We expected more for this price. In terms of taste, any snack bar could have competed. Unfortunately, my tuna fillet in a sesame coating was a bit burnt and somehow didn't smell completely fresh. I had a strange feeling when I ate it, but who would turn back a meal because of a strange feeling. The receipt arrived promptly, less than an hour later. I wouldn't eat here again.
