We were there for brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. There was something for everyone: bread, rolls, a small selection of muesli, cold cuts, fish, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sausages, jams, and much more. They weren't bakery rolls, and the buffet wasn't high-end food, but everything was delicious, clean, and fresh. Around 12:30 pm, they added hot dishes. Today it was kale, potato gratin, vegetables, fish, meat... All for €19.90, including all hot drinks and a glass of Prosecco—unbeatable value. And our spot in the conservatory was simply wonderful.

Centrally located yet quiet. Nice pool, but entry and exit are only via a ladder. A sauna is available, but advance booking is recommended. The room was lovely and clean, the mattress was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also good. We had half-board; on weekends there was a buffet, and on Mondays it was à la carte with a choice of three dishes, plus soup/salad, main course, and dessert (including Sachertorte and tiramisu). Drinks are extra, as with half-board, but reasonably priced. All in all, friendly staff, good food, and recommendable. Not to forget the €10 parking fee per night (€5 would be sufficient) and the lack of secure bicycle storage.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The room was fine and the location was great. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. My boyfriend ordered a country-style grilled dish, and I ordered tagliatelle in a white wine sauce with tomatoes and fresh arugula. When the food was served without any care, I noticed that there were no sun-dried tomatoes, no fresh tomatoes, and no arugula in the dish. When I pointed this out, the chef came to the table in a very dismissive and annoyed tone and told me he simply didn't have any arugula. He added that he would have given my boyfriend more meat anyway. I found it a shame that I had to explain to the chef, who, as he said, had 23 years of experience, that this dish relies on the arugula... what a shame... In front of other guests, he rudely asked me in a subtly aggressive tone what he should do with the food. I politely told him I didn't know either. To defuse the situation and satisfy my hunger, I ordered fries. I was then informed that it would take at least 30 minutes, as everything had to be prepared and the air fryer switched on. At that point, the waiter shouted, "She's not getting anything to eat!" I didn't realize that a waiter could decide what happened to me... and that's exactly what happened! I received no food, and no more drinks were served. We were completely ignored! All of this happened in front of other guests. I was ignored, shamed, and humiliated in front of other guests. Such an unpleasant end to my vacation. I hadn't expected that.

I can't quite understand the bad reviews, as I think some travelers don't appreciate the value for money. They want to drive a Porsche but only pay for a Fiat 500. We stayed for three days and brought our own half-board. Double room €108 including meals, plus €10 for parking. The buffet included dishes like roulades, venison goulash, and goose! In other restaurants, that would easily cost €30. The food and breakfast were really good. The location is also fantastic, as it's only about 300 meters from the shopping area and the beach. And yes, some of the rooms are a bit dated, but still well-maintained. What do I do at the Baltic Sea during the day? Relax in my room or be outside. So I don't need a luxury room. I will definitely visit this lovely little hotel again, as I found the service and the food to be excellent. Additionally, because there weren't many guests at the hotel, we were able to order everything from the menu as a three-course meal. Other restaurants would easily charge €60 for that. I booked a room, and during the drive, shortly before arrival, I received a call informing me that there was an overbooking and that someone else had supposedly booked the same room at the same time. Therefore, they couldn't give me a room. I've never experienced anything like this before. And why was I the one who was turned down and not the other guest? My anticipation of a lovely weekend was ruined, I wasted my fuel costs driving there, and with a simple "sorry," the matter was closed for the hotel, leaving me to bear the costs and inconvenience. Perhaps you should develop a policy for such cases; offering an alternative date with a significant discount to compensate for the inconvenience would, for example, be a good way to retain customers.

This hotel boasts a pleasant, family-run atmosphere and a charming, peaceful location. Thanks to its central location, important destinations are easily accessible. The surrounding area is perfect for relaxing walks, offering a chance to unwind and escape the stresses of everyday life. A stay at this hotel is always highly recommended.

The restaurant has good food. Friendly service, and a daily discounted meal from the monthly menu.

Our small group has already been there twice for the breakfast buffet. I have to say, it's really good value for money. There are several types of fish, as well as cold cuts and cheeses, a generous fruit platter, several types of rolls and bread, and croissants. Prosecco and orange juice are also included. And you can help yourself to as many drinks as you like. The coffee/cappuccino is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. According to my companion, the freshly tapped "Engel" beer is also very tasty! The other gentlemen in our group were also very satisfied… We will definitely be back! We unfortunately can't understand the bad reviews. The decor is cozy and rustic, perfectly suited to a country house. Tomorrow, Monday, we'll try the duck 🤤, we're really looking forward to it. Update: It was incredibly delicious – excellent value for money, and we all enjoyed it 👏🏻

We had a truly wonderful stay at Landhaus Peterson! The house is furnished with great attention to detail – cozy, clean, and simply perfect for relaxing. The location is ideal: quiet, yet close to the beach and the center of Scharbeutz. We would especially like to highlight the warm hospitality. Very friendly staff and very tasty lunch

We only ate in the restaurant. The dining room is very dark and old-fashioned, with only dim lighting. The conservatory is nice, but since there were only two tables and one six-person table available, our party of four was directed to the main dining room. The price-performance ratio is good. The food was okay.

A gem on the Baltic Sea! A lovingly run country house just a 10-minute walk from the beautiful beach. Very friendly staff, romantic and high-quality furnishings, and excellent food in truly generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10 stars! Full marks in every category! TOP! Anyone who gave this hotel a bad review has a serious problem with themselves... Incomprehensible!

The staff were mostly friendly. The suite was very clean, cozy, quiet, and spacious. It had modern furnishings and comfortable beds. Plenty of free coffee was available in the room for self-service brewing. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. There was a wide selection of spa treatments and massages. A cozy wine bar and hot meals were served all day. A reasonably priced coffee and homemade cakes or pastries were available for €4.90. A full service check was provided upon check-out. Unfortunately, the parking lot only accommodates 15 guests of the 22-room hotel. Overall, it's a solid first-class hotel in a country house style. Unfortunately, the staff is so severely understaffed that in the afternoons, one person has to serve guests in the restaurant and also handle check-outs. This is solely the fault of the owner, not the staff!

I had to wait 55 minutes for my food. There was no apology or discount. I won't go there again.

We went there for dinner, which was kale with fried potatoes. They were old fried potatoes that had probably been reheated in the deep fryer; they were simply inedible. I've never been served such bad food in a restaurant.

We chose this hotel based on the photos and online description. The room was more like a youth hostel. At 6:00 a.m., we were woken up by banging above us. Two small children were having fun in there. We then moved to another room. That was fine. It wasn't very clean. The food was below average. The meat was too tough, potatoes were hard and cold, etc. The breakfast buffet was Aldi. The only thing was the staff. They were polite and friendly.

Locals also like to go there :-)

In short, the lunch (fish pan) was a disaster. The overcooked fish was served on an ice-cold plate with a spoonful of greasy fried potatoes. Our complaint was dismissed with a shrug. NEVER AGAIN.

Every time we're in Scharbeutz, we stop there for dinner. The menu changes daily. The food is always delicious and plentiful. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.

I was there at 1:30 p.m. and ordered from the menu. 30 minutes later, the same waiter/server 5 came and asked me if anyone had been there yet. I said no. The bill said opening date was January 14th...that's how it's done, of course, sad but true. I will never eat at that hotel again. A sorry would have been enough.

New addition. We were here for the first time 6 months ago and everything was really bad. Today, on August 10th, we were here again. We spontaneously extended our family vacation and treated ourselves to another night at Petersens after our stay. We can't understand some of the negative reviews posted here. The breakfast was excellent, and the deluxe double room on the first floor was perfect for our two kids. We also loved the pool and wellness area. Everything was clean, and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely come back. Thank you very much.

Nice hotel, relatively well located. Parking is limited and costs €10 per day. Booked at short notice for one night and got a room in the basement. The facilities were okay, but the mattress was completely worn out, so you could almost sit on the floor when you sat up. The food and drinks were very good.

We stayed there as a couple from July 4th to 6th. Our room was great, the entire staff was super friendly and always very helpful. All the dishes we had were hot and delicious. The evening buffet was absolutely fantastic. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to our next stay.

There were two of us and we chose the fish pan, which consisted of salmon, cod, redfish and a shrimp, served with fried potatoes and a cucumber salad. We were very disappointed!!! The fish pan was served on a cold plate and all the fish were fried to death, it couldn't have been drier!!! The cucumber salad tasted of nothing, no dill or onions on it, a disaster!!! The fried potatoes were as greasy as the plague!!! On top of that, the table outside was completely filthy and so was the ashtray!!! After dinner I criticized the food to the waiter, but he didn't care at all! We would have been the first to complain about the "fish pan" today. We will never set foot in the place again, in my opinion a typical tourist rip-off!!!

Unfortunately, the hotel and restaurant aren't rated 4*. The staff aren't professionals, but they are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was the same every day, uncreative, and somewhat lacking in quality, disproportionate to the price. Unfortunately, the rolls were just simple pre-baked goods. The evening buffet (lukewarm) was also very monotonous, with a lot of frozen goods being used in all areas. Whether in the rooms or the dining area, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Parking costs €10 per night, I won't comment on that.

We stayed for two days, from June 25th to June 27th, 2025. We were given a basement room that was very dirty and moldy, and we couldn't open the windows. Furthermore, the toilet seat was crooked and loose. We are very disappointed; the staff's unfriendliness is unbelievable. The only nice person was the caretaker, who wanted to fix a few things immediately. So, we can't keep up.

We just ate at the hotel restaurant. A complete disappointment. The advertised chanterelle mushrooms weren't available. Instead, we had frozen vegetables and bland fried potatoes. Without any advance notice, I can't comment on the hotel. We were only there for dinner.

Mega March 2025: stayed here in a single room. Great location, single room, requests (earlier breakfast) were addressed. I would particularly like to highlight the dinner (one fish platter, one asparagus and schnitzel)...very tasty. I would be happy to come back next year.

Very nice hotel, very clean rooms good value for money very nice courteous staff sometimes a little difficult to communicate. Nevertheless, the staff put a lot of effort into making the kitchen excellent and top notch. The food can only be recommended and special requests are catered for. I think the chef even personally comes to the table every now and then to ask if everything is OK. Dogs are also allowed and also very welcome. There was even a treat for our dog when we had problems with our television. The building technician came the next day and fixed the problem. The wellness area was also great

We wanted to take advantage of the offer from the offer card. Well, it didn't work. The staff was very unfriendly and gave the impression that they probably didn't want to eat. No greeting and we have nothing free in an unfriendly tone. After asking whether the winter garden was free, the answer came, in a harsh tone, not through the guest room. That was too much for us, so we quickly went somewhere else to eat.

Andreas Pahl is absolutely right!!! We had booked for 10 days and were very disappointed. The health department should take a look at this store!!! We found the same thing at the evening buffet three evenings in a row. None of it tasted good. It's all soft boiled mush that shouldn't be served to any guest. Bockwursts floated in hot water for days. Only a few of the staff spoke German. 4 star hotel is laughable!!! Maybe in Poland! This is a simple restaurant where you can stay overnight, nothing more. The rooms were only partially clean. We will definitely NEVER come to this house AGAIN!!! Scharbeutz to break the habit!!!

We were here for the second time, had booked 3 nights with half board and were again very satisfied. The room including the bathroom was modern and clean, there was a kettle with tea and coffee, and a minibar. All the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. A big thank you to the chef and the service. We'd love to come back.

We wanted to have lunch there this afternoon. One child chose pizza and unfortunately didn't let us parents dissuade him. It turned out even worse than expected, because you don't expect pizza like in Bella Italia in a German restaurant. We were still amazed at the slightly orange color of the cheese. Our child didn't want to eat the pizza so we had to laboriously scrape off the toppings. Unfortunately, we realized too late that it was conventional sliced ​​cheese and not mozzarella as offered on the menu. The waiter asked if it had tasted good and we said we would have thought it was good if we had been informed beforehand that the mozzarella had run out, because this is sliced ​​cheese. He wouldn't have seen that until he served the pizza. We would still have to pay for the pizza, but it's even worse that we have to cancel a usual good address.

We were there for Sunday brunch on January 26th, 2025. Cozy, very nice staff. The food was simple. Dry meat, the vegetables at the beginning of the brunch were simply cold, not even lukewarm. The nuggets are dry and hard fried, the pasta is cold in tomato sauce. The potato gratin is lukewarm. And it should have been really warm at the beginning because of the gratinated cheese. The bacon with the scrambled eggs was wobbly, not crispy, and the small sausages were not cooked through. The cake was still thawing. Otherwise the buffet was well stocked. There was also smoked fish. I haven't tried it. It's really nice to sit there and we're not demanding. Absolutely not. The food was just too cold for us, tasted good but also really simple. You don't have to do it again.

We booked the hotel at very short notice and were thrilled. We always need a hotel where dogs are welcome. This is definitely the case here. The dog was allowed to go to the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was a nice buffet and left nothing to be desired. The food in the restaurant was very tasty.

We spent two days/nights (December 29th - 31st) in Petersen's country house. Our room was in the basement and was not recommended at all. In addition to mold in the bathroom, the ancient carpet in the entire (very dark) room was completely dirty and disgusting. Apart from the room, the service in the restaurant was very different. On the first evening there was a waiter in service who absolutely didn't belong there. He was irritable, unfriendly and eager to argue. The other waiter appeared in complete contrast: super friendly, committed and very approachable. The chef was equally great. On our second evening, the unfriendly waiter wasn't there, but both the very competent one and the chef were. This evening was so much more relaxed. We also heard that from other guests.

My husband and I wanted to spend a nice evening there on Boxing Day, but after 3/4 of an hour we left the store. We booked the Christmas buffet and were very disappointed!!! The food was cold, the selection was a joke!!! There were goose legs that were in a container with roast beef and the whole thing looked like it had come from the day before. In addition, you couldn't get the meat from the leg at all, it was more tough, which was even more of a sign that it was from the day before. With the Brussels sprouts, you didn't even think it was necessary to clean them. There was still kale...but the boiled potatoes were missing!!! The cold dishes, reminiscent of breakfast, were actually only missing the rolls but there was old bread instead. Even though we left almost everything on the plate, the waiter didn't even think it necessary to ask what was wrong or whether it didn't taste good. This was the second time in this store and definitely not again!!! We drank our wine and went home hungry to eat something!!!

Unfortunately we couldn't find any relaxation in this hotel. Our room was right next to the kitchen storage area, which meant there was a constant coming and going of staff. What was particularly annoying was the constant slamming of the door, which further increased the noise level. Despite repeated requests to close the door quietly, it only took a day to respond. Unfortunately, this ruined our planned short vacation.

My husband and I were there from December 20th to 22nd, 2024, arrival was actually quite ok. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant downstairs. My husband had duck with dumplings that were still raw, and red cabbage that was totally overcooked, the duck was way too dry (iiii) I had kale, supposedly with smoked meat, Mettenden and pork cheek, there was no trace of the pork cheek🤷‍♀️ Kassler was just fine, the sausage was ok. The kale was totally bitter, which I also mentioned to the waiter, but there was no reaction. The room we were in was dirty and had mold in the bathroom. The pool was totally cloudy and the room wasn't clean either. Disgusting 🤢 the breakfast was a total failure, I had liver sausage that smelled inedible. We would never go there again. It was so terrible that we left at 8:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Just book somewhere else, it's not even worth one star. Oh, the TV only had 3 programs. END the star is only because you have to give at least one star. 0 stars from us. And, one more thing, all the screws down by the pool are rusty. This hotel has nothing to do with wellness. And the employees hardly understand or speak German, with very few exceptions.

When evaluating, you have to differentiate between the food and the hotel room. The food was excellent and the chef really deserves praise, while the room didn't exactly score points with a dirty soap dispenser and a damaged sink.

I can only agree with the negative reviews with an exclamation mark and have no more words for the rudeness of the staff and misrepresentation on the internet. This “hotel” is a rip-off and not a restaurant, especially not with 4 stars! Never again!

I book a room and when I arrived there the hotel was close at 21. Very hard to see on booking that the reception close at 21. I think this is a tricky one, you book a room you think that maybe check in time is until 23 or 00 (normal)and when you’re there, the door is close no phone no customer service and te doors are closed at 21..

Great hotel, we didn't miss anything. We were lucky to book the hotel as an all-inclusive breakfast buffet so we didn't miss anything at breakfast, lunch from the menu and a drink, dinner there was an extra menu with a pre-main course and dessert, everything was very tasty, The chef did a great job, the service was very friendly and accommodating.

Very nice hotel as you can see in the pictures with an upscale atmosphere. Facilities are modern and up to date. The service and price are absolutely outstanding. We were there in the off season and had breakfast and dinner which had a very good selection. Monitored parking spaces behind the house cost €10 and are easily accessible and public ones are available free of charge in front of the house. We were here with a small child and it must also be mentioned that the equipment and service were absolutely designed and everything worked. Dogs are also welcome. Well I have to say apart from the location on the street I couldn't find any criticisms. Absolute recommendation.

Our stay at Petersen's Landhaus in Scharbeutz was completely pleasant! The rooms are very spacious, clean and perfectly equipped for families. The cozy atmosphere immediately welcomed us. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff, who were always helpful and attentive. A small drawback was the pool, which had a bit too much chlorine for our taste, but was still a nice place to cool off. Overall, we had a wonderful time and can absolutely recommend the hotel. My wife booked the day spa offer for us online for a total of €198. When we arrived we stood at the reception for about 10 minutes without anyone greeting us. Only after we walked through our entire area did we find a hotel employee. We were told that we could help ourselves to the breakfast buffet. When we went to the buffet we saw a sight that couldn't have been worse. The first guests had already let off steam here. In other words, there were a few slices of sausage and cheese that had already dried out. The scrambled egg bowls were also almost empty. In the rolls and bread shelf there was a partially black-baked croissant and two slices of white bread. When asked whether additional toppings, scrambled eggs and rolls would be added. The service person behind the counter brought a shrink-wrapped pack of Mettwurst out of the fridge. On the package you could read XXL pack from the discounter LIDL. Sausage from LIDL isn't bad, but you make it in the kitchen and not in front of the guest. The rolls that were baked afterwards were also the cheapest ones you can buy from there. That wouldn't be so bad, but they were baked so hard that you could have thrown in slices with them. The scrambled eggs, however, were so mushy that they couldn't be eaten with a fork. The crowning glory, however, was the table with a glass top, which had probably been wiped down beforehand. There were streaks on the plate from wiping, but what was worse was that the leftover food from the previous one was simply flattened and distributed. Now you might think that this all happened shortly before the end of the buffet time, which was at 11:00 a.m., far from it, we actually wanted to have breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Since we had lost our appetite, we made do with actually taking a bite of half a roll and a cup of coffee. My complaint was not addressed at all. The massage that took place afterwards was quite okay. Our conclusion; Once and never again.

We stayed in the suite and unfortunately the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bathroom and especially the shower were dirty and the sink was clogged and didn't drain. The taps were very calcified and the dishes were dirty. Even after the cleaners cleaned the dishes were dirty. The suite itself is pretty run down and the paint is peeling off the walls. Dead mosquitoes and old blood stuck to the bedroom walls. Unfortunately, the pool smells very much of fish, the seals are black and falling off.

The hotel staff was friendly to us. The room was so small that there was no room for the Chihuahuas and us. We asked for the chairs to be put out, and this was done immediately. Unfortunately there was no refrigerator in our room, even though it says so online. The room… it's so small that the two of you are constantly touching each other as you try to get from one spot to another. The bathrobes were disgusting, one had a blood stain on the collar, that's not possible. Otherwise the room is quite clean. The shower is too small and the water runs out when you shower. I wonder where the stars come from? The reception feels like it is never occupied. The “wellness” area is a disgrace. The breakfast…where should I start? The hot dishes are too cold and the cold ones are too warm. The choice is ridiculous. The rolls were hard and dry. We are currently happy that we are out and about all day. We will never come here again.

Let's start with the arrival, after 45 minutes of looking for a parking space because the one behind the hotel was full, we were finally able to move into the room. For the price and 4 star hotel, you would have expected a lot more. It is very loud in the hotel at any time of the day. Relaxation is something else! After the first night is over, you look forward to breakfast. Shortly after nine o'clock, it already looks like a war. Nothing is refilled and the dishes and cutlery are dirty! The condition of the food is questionable! Stomach problems came immediately! To put it simply, definitely not again! I can only advise everyone to look for another hotel. I'm already looking forward to leaving

The hotel made a great and cozy impression in the pictures. We found accommodation on site which we unfortunately found to be very dirty. Skirting boards in the room were thickly covered with dust, and there was mold everywhere in the shower in the bathroom. Side walls in the refrigerator were very dirty. (That's why we didn't add anything) Staircase in the hotel was always full of cobwebs and dog hair. The whole stairwell constantly smelled of dog. The wellness and pool area was absolutely disgusting. The water seemed rather cloudy and there were rust stains everywhere on the walls and heating. Breakfast for €20 per person We found it absolutely overpriced as there were only baked rolls and little fresh fruit. But the food in the evening was impressive. Very good quality and nice service, no comparison to the morning. In the morning the employees spoke in their local language and you felt uncomfortable because you didn't know whether they were talking about us or something else. (We were at breakfast 5 minutes early that morning and the ladies weren't happy.) All in all, we would NOT recommend the hotel to our friends and acquaintances. Overpriced for such poor hygienic quality.

Unfortunately very poor hygienic conditions, especially at breakfast! The plates look like they were cleaned with just a napkin. Everything is greasy and dirty. The cups have encrusted coffee edges. The bathroom is dirty and moldy. The room in the basement had a strange air, we had the impression that there must be mold there because we had trouble breathing. The hair dryer switches off after a maximum of 2 minutes due to overheating. Unfortunately, no one knows about allergy bedding, so we just slept with sheets. If none of this is important to you, then it's good to know that the location is excellent and the staff is friendly. However, especially because of the hygienic conditions, you unfortunately don't get the impression that the staff are professionals. I would not recommend this accommodation to my friends!

The location is very good, close to the water. The staff very nice. The room itself was sufficient, but we had to play Tetris to get into the shower. There were clumps of hair floating in the pool and the sauna broke when we tried to use it. Breakfast had a varied selection, but rolls were in the oven too long, bacon was cold and the scrambled eggs were very slippery. We had a room in the basement, the hallway smelled of garbage and fish. Price performance ratio should be adjusted.

Significantly better than negative reviews. Tenants put in a lot of effort. Prices, performance, food really good. Breakfast good, except for the Knüppelgarten eggs.. Wellness area rather borderline..

The hotel is super centrally located and the beach is within walking distance. The rooms are relatively modern and clean, only the bathroom could be a little more modern. We had little contact with the staff on site, only for check-in and check-out. The only negative point is that parking has to be paid. We would still come back.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from reception to service to the hotel/kitchen staff. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, and the hotel menu had something for every palate. However, when we visit again we will opt for a large double room.
