We've been to the Roof several times, but this was definitely the last time... The roof terrace has been renovated and is half as nice as it was before, but that wouldn't have shocked us...but the service certainly was!! We were there on a Monday at lunchtime (April 28th, a completely normal day) and, apart from ours, only one table was occupied. There were several waiters on duty, but apparently none were in charge. My girlfriend ordered steak, I had sushi. Despite repeated inquiries when a member of staff was finally visible, my girlfriend eventually got up and went over to ask, but after 75 minutes she still hadn't had her food. Our drinks were, of course, long gone, and no one asked about them. So after 75 minutes, we got up, paid for what we had eaten, and left. If they had really been busy, they would have had a lot of

My family and I wanted to celebrate Mother's Day at the Roof and treat ourselves to good food and a great view. It started out strange that the elevator was broken and there was no sign pointing to it... When we made the reservation, I had already pointed out that we wanted a special table with a beautiful view. However, on site the staff informed us that there was no such notice, so we were seated at an ordinary table without any decorations. This wasn't reserved for us either but had to be adjusted for six people. The service left a lot to be desired. Our waiters - there was no fixed responsibility - showed little commitment. First we waited for the tickets, then to order. The food was ok but not top notch enough for the price. The baked potato was standard at best, there was no special kick to any dish. The beef fillet was good, but all dishes were overpriced due to the individual orders of the side dishes and even sauces. The untrained service staff were really unbelievable. When the drinks and later the food came, the staff couldn't name either and we had to guess. Nobody asked in between if everything was okay. Nobody asked about satisfaction after eating. Nobody asked about satisfaction when paying. After the meal, the dishes stood on the table for ages, then an untrained worker came and gradually cleared everything away in several rounds, including the glasses. We had to wait forever to pay. In total we spent almost €200, but neither the service nor the quality of the food was appropriate for this price. The lack of customer orientation and the inattentive and non-professional service have left a lasting negative impression on us. A repeat visit is out of the question for us. It's such a shame given the great location and the view...

It's coming to an end. I've been here regularly since it opened, but it was difficult at the beginning. Then it settled in and was really good for years. Now a NO GO after the renovation. Bad, unskilled, friendly but completely incompetent service. Only the current restaurant manager / “head waiter” is working his way out of his mind, I feel sorry for him. We've been waiting for food for almost 1.5 hours now. The quality of the food itself is still really good, but it is also expensive in terms of quantity but OK. All the rest is unspeakable. Ambience, service, waiting time, overall experience for the money - thanks, no. The last time for me for a long time.

Unfortunately we cannot rate the food. We had reserved a table for 2 p.m. When we called to see if we could come a little earlier, we found out that the restaurant wouldn't open until 3:30 p.m. today because there was an event beforehand. We were not informed about this beforehand. We then made a new reservation at 3:30 p.m. Unfortunately we couldn't get the table because there was a disco in the restaurant and there was very loud music. The event was still in full swing. Disappointing as we were looking forward to dining here. Therefore only one star.

Nice location with, if you get a seat at the window, a great view of the Baltic Sea. Unfortunately we had a very bad day of service. First we waited 20 minutes to place an order even though the restaurant wasn't even 20% full. Then the ordered sushi came for two people and then 10 minutes later the pike perch and soup for the other two people. I only got cutlery for my zander when I asked. Not once did the service staff ask whether more drinks were wanted. However, the food was very good. The kitchen is highly recommended. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill. We were charged EUR 37 for the zander, even though it was listed on the menu as an arrangement including two side dishes and a sauce for EUR 21.50. When we asked, we were told that the arrangements only apply from 5 p.m. However, there was no information about this on the map. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. The 3 stars are the result of 5 stars for the cuisine and 0 stars for the "service" at McDonald's level.

Unfortunately it's not like it used to be - disappointing after the renovation We have been to the Roof in Scharbeutz very often in recent years and have always been happy to recommend it to others. The food was always excellent, the service attentive and the atmosphere harmonious. Unfortunately, after the renovation, a lot of things changed for the worse. The portions have become significantly smaller, which wouldn't be the problem - if the service hadn't also deteriorated significantly. Unfriendly staff, long waiting times and an almost disrespectful tone at times. When we politely commented that the level of service had deteriorated, our comment was met with a laugh and the statement, “Should I cry now?” acknowledged - an absolute no-go if the bill is over €200. Really a shame. We have been regular guests for a long time, but unfortunately that was our last visit for the time being.

Four of us ate at the roof with a reservation. The restaurant was well attended. At first we were served relatively quickly, but then passed our menus to the next table because there was no service there. There were actually more than enough waiters on site, but everyone seemed completely overwhelmed and uncoordinated and no one seemed to have fixed responsibilities. From our seat we looked directly onto the terrace, where empty and broken glasses were piled up on the railing. For starters we had sushi, which was placed on the table without plates, chopsticks or soy sauce. We only received everything upon request. We waited over 2 hours for our main courses. When we commented on this in the meantime (even when a waiter asked if everything was okay with us), we were told it was full, that we couldn't expect anything else if we went out to eat on a public holiday and that he wasn't responsible for us at all... Since the waiter said that it would take about 20 minutes until our food came, we said we would be happy to pay and leave. We were then told we were stupid and could no longer cancel our order. Only another waiter who came along "saved" the situation somewhat by apologizing, buying us a round of drinks and (at our suggestion) at least giving us some bread. The food itself was very tasty. The service was still a total disaster and not worth a single star. Customer satisfaction is definitely not a priority here. Not a good reference for a restaurant that leaves over €200...

Wir waren mit Reservierung zu einem frühen Dinner mit der Familie, davon eine Person mobilitätseingeschränkt, im Roof. Obgleich bei Ankunft wenig Gäste anwesend waren, war der Tisch nicht eingedeckt und es herrschte Unklarheit, wo wir sitzen sollten. Nachdem wir uns auf Anweisung des Personals an einem Tisch -der nicht unsere erste Wahl war- eingerichtet hatten, wurde uns plötzlich gesagt, an diesem Tisch könnten wir nur eine Stunde sitzen, dann sei er reserviert. Wir zogen also -und nun war das plötzlich möglich- zu dem Tisch unserer ersten Wahl um. Es wurden dann unterschiedliche Speisekarten ausgegeben, was zu einiger Verwirrung bei uns führte. Irgendwann konnten wir wenigstens Getränke bestellen. Die beiden KiBa kamen mit dreckigem Glasrand, wurden zwar anstandslos ausgetauscht, aber das war schon eklig. Zu den Flaschen Wasser mit sportlich je € 9,90 kamen für 5 Personen nur 4 Gläser. Uns war auch eine Damenhandtasche versehentlich auf den Boden gefallen und diese war sodann schmutzübersät. Als das Essen endlich kam, wurde eines der Gerichte, ausdrücklich vegetarisch bestellt, mit Speck serviert. Auch dieses Essen wurde anstandslos zurückgenommen und in vegetarisch zubereitet, aber es konnte dann eben nicht zeitgleich gegessen werden. Die anderen Essen waren soweit okay, mit Ausnahme, dass statt grünem Spargel weißer Spargel als Beilage serviert wurde. Der Service insgesamt war nicht eines Restaurants in dem hohen Preissegment und der Lage angemessen. Wir haben kein Trinkgeld gegeben und auch eine Rückmeldung zur schlechten Serviceleistung gegeben, was lediglich zur Kenntnis genommen wurde.

In recent years, this was still a favorite spot for a delicious cocktail and some sushi, despite the rather hefty prices. Since the renovation, which I think was really successful, the service can unfortunately no longer even be described as service. We waited on the Ehm terrace for 20 minutes to be served even though the entire shop was around 15 to a maximum of 20% full. A map was only given upon request. Unfortunately there was no cocktail due to the lack of bartenders :( The food is still very tasty but also very expensive. Unfortunately, due to our service experience, our overall picture is slipping into a state where we are no longer happy to come back. It's just a real shame...

We've been coming to the ROOF regularly for years, but unfortunately the service staff has been absolutely terrible since the renovation. We regretted coming here at the breakfast buffet 8 weeks ago and this afternoon. Such a great place, delicious food and delicious cocktails. We were happy to pay the price and have a great time. It's only because of the service that we'll think about coming back next time. We sit for ages and always have to wave the service over so that we have a chance of getting a card or even ordering. This at 15-20% utilization. Last time at breakfast, it was like being in a canteen. Not as nice as in Coast. All very sad and disappointing. We very much hope that this will improve again in the future so that you can come back again.

The staff seemed unmotivated and inattentive, and the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. It's a shame, because the location itself is really beautifully located and offers a great view. The bowl was a disaster - tasteless, carelessly prepared and definitely not worth the wait or the price. The only positive thing is the great view. I absolutely cannot understand why some people give such a bad review! The service was excellent, the food was simply great, and the atmosphere in the evening is simply second to none. There is definitely a difference whether you come in the morning or in the evening - in the evening it is just perfect! The view, the ambience and the quality of the dishes make the visit a real highlight. I can only give it 5 stars and recommend everyone to experience it for themselves!

We went to the breakfast buffet today. For €49 that was a huge disgrace. Food cold, staff totally overwhelmed. Despite reservations, there weren't even glasses for the water. We then drank from coffee cups. After ordering three times, we also had coffee. Incredible! Never again!! There will be other reviews along these lines for the day. You could tell that from the conversations at the neighboring table.

Die Atmosphäre im Roof ist wirklich toll gerade der vordere neue Bereich ist sehr zu empfehlen. Man muss dem Restaurant allerdings auch empfehlen, sich nicht zu erweitern, wenn man nicht in der Lage ist, einen entsprechenden Service zu bieten. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service für den eher gehobenen Preis jedoch ein absolutes Desaster. Es dauerte alleine über 30 Minuten, bis das Geschirr von der Vorspeise abgeräumt wurde. Das konnten wir auch bei den anderen Tischen beobachten.Zum Steak wurde kein Steakmesser gebracht, auch auf Nachfrage nicht. Wir mussten zweimal nachfragen. Als das Steakmesser dann kam, war das Steak quasi schon verzehrt. Auch eine Bestellung wurden vergessen. Und am Ende bei der Bezahlung gab es keine vernünftige Entschuldigung, sondern nur eine kurze arrogante Bemerkung: Es sind eben ein paar Servicekräfte krank. Sehr schade, weil angesichts des Essens könnte das Restaurant auch eine fünf Sterne Bewertung erhalten…..Aber der Service gehört nun einmal dazu…

The atmosphere at the Roof in Scharbeutz is really nice, and the food tasted good - so promising so far. Unfortunately, this positive impression was significantly diminished by the service. The starters were served around 10 minutes apart, which is unfortunate for a shared meal. For my main course – the plaice – I was told that the fried potatoes were out. Although alternatives were offered (including green asparagus), there was an overall lack of attention and confidence in the service. The staff seemed overwhelmed, questions were sometimes only answered briefly and the cleaning of the tables was not kept up - used dishes and empty glasses were left standing for a long time. For a location that presents itself as an exclusive rooftop bar with high standards, the experience was unfortunately disappointing. Good cuisine, but the service doesn't match the image.

Waiters walk around the room with their heads bowed, without even checking to see if a guest would like anything else. The sushi wasn't a hit either. Just plain creepy! The wonderful terrace was closed! The remaining tables and chairs are carelessly there, no cushions, zero decoration and instead of sun there is a built-up roof terrace. When we just wanted to sit down, the waiter pointed out to us that there were only drinks there. Not only is it completely free of any ambience, you can no longer visit this location, it is also strange that you are not even served anymore! Goodbye! Never again!

So first of all... with smaller children it would have been five stars. But ours are now older than 10. We were there for the third time and we already knew everything. We just wanted to go there again 🤷🏼. Because it's actually beautiful, it's given four stars. It was a short-term visit with only our older children and I didn't want to give away three because of that. The ambience and the “animation” for the younger kids (up to 8... I would say) are great. There is also plenty of food (although the prices are pretty steep). The demonstrations are also great. In the shop you are really amazed at what can be marketed with strawberries. Highly recommended with small children.

We had shrimps as a starter, a bowl with 4 shrimps and 2 dips with dips, no garnish or anything like that for €24.50. Then cordon bleu and other dishes. We arrived with high expectations and left completely disappointed and horrified. Great on the outside, terrible on the inside. Not only did the completely annoyed, unfriendly, and listless waiter ruin the entire evening, but the food barely qualified as lousy cafeteria fare. Sushi was completely dried out and stale. Salmon tartare lacked any zest, made with boring supermarket cream cheese. Pumpkin soup was okay, but the porcini mushroom ravioli from the deli counter also lacked any "wow" factor. The prices are outrageous for this food. Especially since the sushi was served with cheap snack chopsticks and the drinks with plastic straws. After we politely informed the waiter of our dissatisfaction, the bill was slammed down on the table without a word or apology, and our truly wonderful girls' weekend ended with a bitter aftertaste. Apart from the truly amazing view from the roof, there is absolutely nothing good to say about this restaurant. A tip from us: right across from Bayside there is a super nice restaurant with "heart" ♥️ where you are treated extremely friendly and the food is a real dream.

My partner and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Bayside and made an overnight stay and table reservation at the Bayside Roof Top Restaurant for the special occasion. When we made the reservation, it was pointed out several times that we wanted a special table with a beautiful view. However, on site the staff informed us that there was no such notice, so we were seated at an ordinary table without any decorations. The service also left a lot to be desired. Our waiter showed little engagement and mainly focused on a larger group of about 20 people. We had to call him several times and even have to get up to even place an order. The food did not meet expectations in terms of quality or service. My tuna steak with side dishes, which cost just under €40, was served cold. My complaint was responded to with an unfriendly facial expression. Instead of re-preparing the dish, they took the plate from me, reheated the steak that had already been opened and served it again. Such an approach is completely unacceptable in a restaurant of this price category. In total we spent over €200 that evening, but neither the service nor the quality of the food was commensurate with this price. The lack of customer focus, the inattentive service and the way complaints were handled have left a lasting negative impression on us. A repeat visit is out of the question for us.

Beautiful, cozy atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff and absolutely delicious food 🥰. The "sushi variations" are amazing - served on a wooden ship ❤️ The liquid desserts are awesome: the espresso martini & tiramisu in liquid form - what an exceptionally good idea!!! We will be back and highly recommend a visit!! Tip: Be sure to reserve in advance - better safe than sorry 😉 Afterwards, we recommend a nightcap in the newly renovated and cozy bar. There is nothing that is not available there. Personal highlight: The “Tiny” or (if you like it bigger, go for the “Tiny Large”) with incredible addictive potential. Anyone who likes “Ed von Schleck” ice cream will love it!! ❤️

Der Hauptgang fiel für viele komplett aus, da das Buffet viel zu früh abgeräumt wurde. Ein Mitternachtssnack oder ein Glas Sekt zum Anstoßen? Fehlanzeige. Für 159 € pro Person war das schlicht nicht akzeptabel. Dass Sie auf unsere wiederholten Versuche, dies direkt mit Ihnen zu klären, nicht reagieren, macht die Enttäuschung nur noch größer. Wir erwarten eine Stellungnahme und eine angemessene Reaktion.

The location is very nice! We were 6 People eating sushi there! The food was good and the price was reasonable! The service wasn't really existent! Reordering drinks was extremely difficult and took a very long time! The wine bottles were placed on the table, unfortunately unopened! We waited 20 minutes until we could find a waiter who was ready to open the wine! We would have liked to have ordered more water and wine after our meal! But it was more important that the tables were set again for the next day! We left at some point! We have been coming regularly for 10 years, but this will definitely be the last time! Too bad

First and last visit there. We hadn't heard anything good from friends, but we wanted to see for ourselves. There were a total of 8 guests in the entire restaurant and it still took the waiter 15 minutes until we got a card. The food was ok, but we were hoping for something different for the price. The service was still subpar. When ordering, we asked that the sushi be prepared without cucumber and we were told that the food was already ready and that might not be possible. We weren't asked if it was tasty, we weren't told goodbye and the whole time we had the impression that the waiter didn't want to do his job. The view is nice, but it doesn't tear it apart.

Never again !!! We've been to the roof restaurant for probably the 7th time. The quality of the food is okay but it gets worse every year. The service is a disgrace. Only temporary staff, no properly trained waiters and no information can be provided when asked about dishes. We had reserved a table for 7 people. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to eat and it was clear that nothing had been prepared for us. Yesterday evening was definitely the last time I visited this restaurant. With a staff like that, a store like this can't run for the prices and quality they want to represent!

The ROOF in Scharbeutz is definitely worth a visit. The location with a view of the Baltic Sea is simply unbeatable and the atmosphere invites you to linger. The menu offers a good selection of food and drinks, and the quality of the dishes is quite convincing. However, the portions are rather small. If you're really hungry, you might want to order something extra. The friendliness of the staff is also a bit inconsistent. While some employees are very courteous, others seem rather uninterested.

First of all, the positive. The location is well decorated and seems quite classy at first glance. But that was it. The food is really not good in relation to the price and we had to wait a long time for the main course (1 hour 15 minutes). The staff seemed overwhelmed and forgot some of what was ordered. A guest at the next table complained about the poor cleanliness of his glass. Furthermore, you sit very close to other guests and inevitably overhear their conversations; this is of course also the case the other way round. Unfortunately I can't recommend it any further.

Unfortunately the new room where the roof terrace used to be was absolutely terrible. Loud like a train station hall that you can hardly understand your own words. And the furniture is so cramped that the tables are too small if both people are eating sushi. Unfortunately that's not possible for the price! I always enjoyed going to your roof bar and always ordered 2 Flashen Moët. But the ambience in the station hall makes you happy when you're outside. Too bad

We were in the roof with three adults and one child (4). The children's meal, chips and nuggets, was good. For us adults we each had steaks, twice well done and once medium fried. A well done came medium fried and went back. The vegetables came to the table only lukewarm and had to go back to the kitchen. In the meantime, the cooked steak was delivered... without any side dishes Unfortunately, the service didn't clear away our steaks, so they were cold when the side dishes came back. The now cold steaks were then fried again. Welldone became shoe soles and my medium became welldone. Unfortunately, Boxing Day was spoiled for us. We live in Scharbeutz and have been to the Roof several times. We rarely found the price to be right, but we always wanted to give the restaurant a chance. Now we are cured.

Been there 4 times... never again... The first 3 times were actually very nice. The service was good, food was reasonable, drinks were ok. Four stars would have been a perfectly acceptable rating. But our fourth visit ruined it all. I cannot blame „the roof“ for having low quality rib eye steak delivered to them... but serving tough, sinewy beef and charging premium prices is not acceptable. We stated three times(!) that the meat was terrible and were ignored. Sushi and surimi were wonderful - but the steaks for my wife and my in-laws were just plain inedible! Three separate statements “the steaks are “unchewable!”” - and the only reaction is “yeah, I’ll tell the kitchen...” ... Well that really helped us... would you at least comp us the digestives?... no... Well, “the Roof”, after spending well over 1000€ during 4 visits, you will never see us again. Premium prices for premium quality and service is totally ok... I will gladly pay & say “thank you”. But this was no longer the case… sad… Oh yes... my martini cocktail was taken off the bill... even “the roof” could not really explain why it was mixed with Campari instead of Noilly Pratt...

Vorweg: mein Job bringt es mit sich dass ich sehr viel Reise und mit Kunden 1-2 wöchentlich in ganz Deutschland in gehobenen und Top - Restaurants zum Essen gehe. Gestern Abend waren wir zum Geburtstag unsere Tochter dann zum Abendessen im Roof. Das Essen meiner Frau und meiner Tochter (beide Sushi) war sehr gut wenn auch etwas überteuert. Die Bedienung (eine Dame) war darüber hinaus auch sehr freundlich. Aber das war es dann auch leider schon mit den positiven Erfahrungen... Ich persönlich hatte das Perlhuhn mit Kartoffelstampf zum Preis von über 30€. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut, die Portion wäre aber bestenfalls für einen Kinderteller ausreichend gewesen. Beim Abräumen fragte uns dann die nette Kellnerin ob alles in Ordnung gewesen sei, worauf ich Ihr meinen Unmut über das Perlhuhn kundgetan habe. Darauf sagte die Kellnerin dass Sie mein Feedback an die Küche weitergeben wolle. Wir rechneten nun ganz fest dass es aus der Küche irgendeine Reaktion geben würde, aber was passierte? - nichts. Als wir dann die Hoffnung aufgegeben hatten und um die Rechnung baten fragte ich abschließend ob wir noch mit dem Chef sprechen könnten. Der Chef kam dann auch sogleich so dass ich Ihm mein Anliegen schildern konnte. Auffallend uninteressiert hat er sich dann mein Feedback angehört. Er sagte dass er nichts machen könne da er seine Anweisungen von "oben" habe. Nach längeren Diskussionen hat er mir dann widerwillig ein kostenloses Dessert angeboten auf das wir dann aber auch keine Lust mehr hatte. Tip: wenn das Kundenfeedback sowieso niemanden interessiert sollte man sich doch die Floskeln sparen und gar nicht erst fragen wie es war. Fazit: das Roof ist ein schönes Restaurant mit tollem Ausblick, die Preise stehen aber in keinem Verhältnis zu den zu dort angebotenen Leistungen. Und obwohl wir keine Touristen sind und vor Ort wohnen ist für uns nach dieser Performance und dem Verhalten des Chefs eines klar: einmal und nie wieder...

Unfortunately, we also have to agree with the negative reviews and wish we had read them beforehand. We were guests at Bayside and were looking forward to a very special evening in the hotel's own restaurant “Roof”. Unfortunately, nothing was right here, except for the table by the window that we specified when we made the reservation. The sushi variation at €50 was an absolute disgrace. Not only were only 18 (!) pieces brought for the price, but the fried rolls were completely cold. When asked that these were obviously not freshly prepared, the service manager said that it was normal for them to cool down before they were served. (The kitchen is 3 meters away). There was no soy sauce and even though we asked for it, I ended up having to get it from the kitchen myself. (Probably forgotten). Unfortunately, all of the other dishes that were brought were of a lower quality: edamame was completely cooked until soft, the tartare was masked by a mango chutney. The only culinary highlight were the fries with Parmesan truffle sauce. You may not expect the quality you are used to in big cities and the sushi may have been prepared in the afternoon due to a lack of staff, but so much can be “saved” with a sensible response or good service. Instead, you felt personally insulted during service and the rest of the evening was characterized by discontent. So much money for so little, you should rethink your gastronomic concept as a 4 star hotel, dear Bayside Hotel.

The sushi was really tasty, but very overpriced. 50€ for about 20 pieces is just too much in my opinion. Unfortunately the service was extremely unfriendly. We arrived about 5 minutes before the restaurant opened with a lively toddler, fully loaded with strollers and the like. arrived and were sent away again because “it’s not open yet”. I can't think of anything about that. 5 minutes later we got our table. When saying goodbye, they didn't even make eye contact with us and said "bye" with their backs to us. With these prices and the ambience, we simply expect significantly better service. It's a shame, I would like to come back because of the good sushi, but we won't do that because of this experience.

The atmosphere was right and the service staff were nice too. However, the taste of the food is not recommended and it is simply overpriced for the quality. I can't recommend the fish soup at all. No taste and you have to look for the fish pieces in the small soup pot. You can eat the sushi, but for the mini rolls and the price, you get a whole menu in a good sushi restaurant.

**Absolutely Horrible Experience – Threatened Over Ketchup and Mayo** I have never written a review on TripAdvisor but after what I experienced in the Roof Restaurant bar I felt compelled to and hopefully, I will save people some money from this scam. I’m beyond appalled by the way we were treated at Roof Bayside Resturant. What was supposed to be a simple meal turned into one of the most stressful dining experiences I’ve ever had, all because of a miscommunication over ketchup and mayo. We asked for ketchup and mayo, assuming it was a standard condiment with our meal, (the menu was not on the table) only to be told later we had to pay an extra 24 euros for it. Had this been communicated clearly from the start, we wouldn’t have had an issue paying. However, instead of handling this situation professionally or clarifying any confusion, the staff *threatened* to call the police on us. Over condiments! This was a shocking overreaction and completely ruined our experience. There was absolutely no need to escalate something so minor into a hostile situation. The staff’s behavior was rude, intimidating, and entirely out of line, they laughed and talked amongst eachother. We felt like we were being treated like criminals over something that could have been resolved with a simple explanation or conversation. For a restaurant to treat paying customers and guests at the hotel this way is unacceptable. Not only was the service appalling, but it showed a complete lack of respect for customer service. We won’t be returning, and I urge others to think twice before supporting a place that treats its guests so poorly. Disgraceful.

Unfortunately unfortunately the service is a smooth 6. You stand at the entrance coming from the elevator. A nice young lady walks past us 5 times and doesn't ask whether we have reserved or not. Man makes us look stupid. After waiting for minutes, we intercepted a lady who then told us to go to the other side and a colleague was standing there! Great, mood already at its lowest point! The chefs always looked over at us beforehand but no one said anything to them either. Here it's just a listless shuffling back and forth. PS: in an upscale atmosphere and price level you expect that the food and drinks are not passed across the table and that the ladies receive the menu first. Food was good but overpriced. Unfortunately not the quality that you expected and got before.

The view from up there is beautiful. Otherwise we weren't noticed for ages. Only when we approached did a service person ask us if we were still satisfied - and we hadn't even received the menu yet. The order took a particularly long time again. The drinks that came 20 minutes later didn't pass us by until we made our presence known. The same with the food, first our order was given to a table next to us - who had just sat down - then it passed us until we made our presence known again. I have never experienced such inattentive, disinterested and indifferent service staff.

The **Roof in Scharbeutz** definitely impresses with its ambience. The cocktail bar impresses with a long, stylish bar and cozy seating areas that invite you to linger. The outdoor terrace is a highlight, especially in summer, from which you can enjoy the sun and the fresh Baltic Sea air. The cocktail selection is varied, and the rooftop location offers a truly fantastic view over the Baltic Sea - perfect for a relaxed evening. I had the champagne cocktail, which was visually very appealing and creatively designed, but unfortunately I wasn't entirely impressed with the taste. Nevertheless, the **Roof** is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a special place with a great view and a cozy atmosphere.

Very nice restaurant, right on the pier, with a view of the Baltic Sea. Very good food, great wine selection. Service is quick and a bit overly friendly. Unfortunately, it comes across as rather artificial. Unfortunately, the kitchen closes very early; we didn't know this when we made the reservation, otherwise we would have arrived a little earlier. Otherwise, highly recommended.

A really great hotel, with everything you could wish for. Dogs are allowed even at breakfast. The service is particularly nice and friendly. The rooms are very well maintained, clean and even have a coffee machine. Our view was directly over the Baltic Sea, which was very nice. The spa area with sauna invites you to switch off. The hotel is right on the beach, right in the heart of Scharbeutz. I've been there several times and enjoy it every time. The rooftop bar and restaurant is also great. The jungle restaurant is also a real eye-catcher. Food was great everywhere! Great breakfast buffet!! Highly recommended!
