Currently the entrance and the outdoor areas are one uninviting construction site. A cocktail with a view of the sea was apparently not possible. You can take a seat in the dark indoor bar. Really now? Now Show will continue without us in the future

The rooftop bar offers a beautiful ambience and the food was really good - tasteful and attractively prepared. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. We weren't even asked if the food was tasty or if we needed anything else. The service seemed rather disinterested and inattentive, which spoiled the experience somewhat. It's a shame, because with better service it would be a real highlight!

The food was without question of a very good standard, tasted excellent and was attractively presented. The quality of the ingredients was good. Unfortunately the service could not live up to this high standard. The wait staff seemed inattentive and unengaged, so we had to wait a long time to place orders or ask for something. What was particularly disappointing was that we didn't even ask if we liked the food. I would have liked attentive and professional service in a restaurant of this class. It's a shame because the dining experience would have deserved a better rating.

My partner and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Bayside and made an overnight stay and table reservation at the Bayside Roof Top Restaurant for the special occasion. When we made the reservation, it was pointed out several times that we wanted a special table with a beautiful view. However, on site the staff informed us that there was no such notice, so we were seated at an ordinary table without any decorations. The service also left a lot to be desired. Our waiter showed little engagement and mainly focused on a larger group of about 20 people. We had to call him several times and even have to get up to even place an order. The food did not meet expectations in terms of quality or service. My tuna steak with side dishes, which cost just under €40, was served cold. My complaint was responded to with an unfriendly facial expression. Instead of re-preparing the dish, they took the plate from me, reheated the steak that had already been opened and served it again. Such an approach is completely unacceptable in a restaurant of this price category. In total we spent over €200 that evening, but neither the service nor the quality of the food was commensurate with this price. The lack of customer focus, the inattentive service and the way complaints were handled have left a lasting negative impression on us. A repeat visit is out of the question for us.

Beautiful, cozy atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff and absolutely delicious food 🥰. The "sushi variations" are amazing - served on a wooden ship ❤️ The liquid desserts are awesome: the espresso martini & tiramisu in liquid form - what an exceptionally good idea!!! We will be back and highly recommend a visit!! Tip: Be sure to reserve in advance - better safe than sorry 😉 Afterwards, we recommend a nightcap in the newly renovated and cozy bar. There is nothing that is not available there. Personal highlight: The “Tiny” or (if you like it bigger, go for the “Tiny Large”) with incredible addictive potential. Anyone who likes “Ed von Schleck” ice cream will love it!! ❤️

A second drink was virtually impossible because no one ever came by to ask if we would like something else to drink. The couple to our left were also stranded and already upset. The couple to our right had forgotten the woman's food. Sorry but for a restaurant like this and the prices, the service should be better. The view is, as always, mega!

Silvester-Feier: Enttäuschend, überteuert – und keinerlei Reaktion Ihrerseits Wir feiern seit Jahren Silvester in verschiedenen Hotels, aber so eine enttäuschende Erfahrung – und vor allem eine derartige Ignoranz – haben wir noch nie erlebt. Trotz mehrfacher E-Mails, eines persönlichen Gesprächs und eines Telefonats haben wir bis heute keinerlei Antwort von Ihnen erhalten. Das ist nicht nur enttäuschend, sondern auch unprofessionell. Unsere Gruppe von 15 Personen hatte sich auf einen festlichen Abend gefreut. Stattdessen erwartete uns eine lieblose Atmosphäre, ein völlig überlaufenes Buffet und eine überforderte Bar. Der Hauptgang fiel für viele komplett aus, da das Buffet viel zu früh abgeräumt wurde. Ein Mitternachtssnack oder ein Glas Sekt zum Anstoßen? Fehlanzeige. Für 159 € pro Person war das schlicht nicht akzeptabel. Dass Sie auf unsere wiederholten Versuche, dies direkt mit Ihnen zu klären, nicht reagieren, macht die Enttäuschung nur noch größer. Wir erwarten eine Stellungnahme und eine angemessene Reaktion.

The location is very nice! We were 6 People eating sushi there! The food was good and the price was reasonable! The service wasn't really existent! Reordering drinks was extremely difficult and took a very long time! The wine bottles were placed on the table, unfortunately unopened! We waited 20 minutes until we could find a waiter who was ready to open the wine! We would have liked to have ordered more water and wine after our meal! But it was more important that the tables were set again for the next day! We left at some point! We have been coming regularly for 10 years, but this will definitely be the last time! Too bad

First and last visit there. We hadn't heard anything good from friends, but we wanted to see for ourselves. There were a total of 8 guests in the entire restaurant and it still took the waiter 15 minutes until we got a card. The food was ok, but we were hoping for something different for the price. The service was still subpar. When ordering, we asked that the sushi be prepared without cucumber and we were told that the food was already ready and that might not be possible. We weren't asked if it was tasty, we weren't told goodbye and the whole time we had the impression that the waiter didn't want to do his job. The view is nice, but it doesn't tear it apart.

Never again !!! We've been to the roof restaurant for probably the 7th time. The quality of the food is okay but it gets worse every year. The service is a disgrace. Only temporary staff, no properly trained waiters and no information can be provided when asked about dishes. We had reserved a table for 7 people. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to eat and it was clear that nothing had been prepared for us. Yesterday evening was definitely the last time I visited this restaurant. With a staff like that, a store like this can't run for the prices and quality they want to represent!

The ROOF in Scharbeutz is definitely worth a visit. The location with a view of the Baltic Sea is simply unbeatable and the atmosphere invites you to linger. The menu offers a good selection of food and drinks, and the quality of the dishes is quite convincing. However, the portions are rather small. If you're really hungry, you might want to order something extra. The friendliness of the staff is also a bit inconsistent. While some employees are very courteous, others seem rather uninterested.

First of all, the positive. The location is well decorated and seems quite classy at first glance. But that was it. The food is really not good in relation to the price and we had to wait a long time for the main course (1 hour 15 minutes). The staff seemed overwhelmed and forgot some of what was ordered. A guest at the next table complained about the poor cleanliness of his glass. Furthermore, you sit very close to other guests and inevitably overhear their conversations; this is of course also the case the other way round. Unfortunately I can't recommend it any further.

Unfortunately the new room where the roof terrace used to be was absolutely terrible. Loud like a train station hall that you can hardly understand your own words. And the furniture is so cramped that the tables are too small if both people are eating sushi. Unfortunately that's not possible for the price! I always enjoyed going to your roof bar and always ordered 2 Flashen Moët. But the ambience in the station hall makes you happy when you're outside. Too bad

We were in the roof with three adults and one child (4). The children's meal, chips and nuggets, was good. For us adults we each had steaks, twice well done and once medium fried. A well done came medium fried and went back. The vegetables came to the table only lukewarm and had to go back to the kitchen. In the meantime, the cooked steak was delivered... without any side dishes Unfortunately, the service didn't clear away our steaks, so they were cold when the side dishes came back. The now cold steaks were then fried again. Welldone became shoe soles and my medium became welldone. Unfortunately, Boxing Day was spoiled for us. We live in Scharbeutz and have been to the Roof several times. We rarely found the price to be right, but we always wanted to give the restaurant a chance. Now we are cured.

Been there 4 times... never again... The first 3 times were actually very nice. The service was good, food was reasonable, drinks were ok. Four stars would have been a perfectly acceptable rating. But our fourth visit ruined it all. I cannot blame „the roof“ for having low quality rib eye steak delivered to them... but serving tough, sinewy beef and charging premium prices is not acceptable. We stated three times(!) that the meat was terrible and were ignored. Sushi and surimi were wonderful - but the steaks for my wife and my in-laws were just plain inedible! Three separate statements “the steaks are “unchewable!”” - and the only reaction is “yeah, I’ll tell the kitchen...” ... Well that really helped us... would you at least comp us the digestives?... no... Well, “the Roof”, after spending well over 1000€ during 4 visits, you will never see us again. Premium prices for premium quality and service is totally ok... I will gladly pay & say “thank you”. But this was no longer the case… sad… Oh yes... my martini cocktail was taken off the bill... even “the roof” could not really explain why it was mixed with Campari instead of Noilly Pratt...

Vorweg: mein Job bringt es mit sich dass ich sehr viel Reise und mit Kunden 1-2 wöchentlich in ganz Deutschland in gehobenen und Top - Restaurants zum Essen gehe. Gestern Abend waren wir zum Geburtstag unsere Tochter dann zum Abendessen im Roof. Das Essen meiner Frau und meiner Tochter (beide Sushi) war sehr gut wenn auch etwas überteuert. Die Bedienung (eine Dame) war darüber hinaus auch sehr freundlich. Aber das war es dann auch leider schon mit den positiven Erfahrungen... Ich persönlich hatte das Perlhuhn mit Kartoffelstampf zum Preis von über 30€. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut, die Portion wäre aber bestenfalls für einen Kinderteller ausreichend gewesen. Beim Abräumen fragte uns dann die nette Kellnerin ob alles in Ordnung gewesen sei, worauf ich Ihr meinen Unmut über das Perlhuhn kundgetan habe. Darauf sagte die Kellnerin dass Sie mein Feedback an die Küche weitergeben wolle. Wir rechneten nun ganz fest dass es aus der Küche irgendeine Reaktion geben würde, aber was passierte? - nichts. Als wir dann die Hoffnung aufgegeben hatten und um die Rechnung baten fragte ich abschließend ob wir noch mit dem Chef sprechen könnten. Der Chef kam dann auch sogleich so dass ich Ihm mein Anliegen schildern konnte. Auffallend uninteressiert hat er sich dann mein Feedback angehört. Er sagte dass er nichts machen könne da er seine Anweisungen von "oben" habe. Nach längeren Diskussionen hat er mir dann widerwillig ein kostenloses Dessert angeboten auf das wir dann aber auch keine Lust mehr hatte. Tip: wenn das Kundenfeedback sowieso niemanden interessiert sollte man sich doch die Floskeln sparen und gar nicht erst fragen wie es war. Fazit: das Roof ist ein schönes Restaurant mit tollem Ausblick, die Preise stehen aber in keinem Verhältnis zu den zu dort angebotenen Leistungen. Und obwohl wir keine Touristen sind und vor Ort wohnen ist für uns nach dieser Performance und dem Verhalten des Chefs eines klar: einmal und nie wieder...

Unfortunately, we also have to agree with the negative reviews and wish we had read them beforehand. We were guests at Bayside and were looking forward to a very special evening in the hotel's own restaurant “Roof”. Unfortunately, nothing was right here, except for the table by the window that we specified when we made the reservation. The sushi variation at €50 was an absolute disgrace. Not only were only 18 (!) pieces brought for the price, but the fried rolls were completely cold. When asked that these were obviously not freshly prepared, the service manager said that it was normal for them to cool down before they were served. (The kitchen is 3 meters away). There was no soy sauce and even though we asked for it, I ended up having to get it from the kitchen myself. (Probably forgotten). Unfortunately, all of the other dishes that were brought were of a lower quality: edamame was completely cooked until soft, the tartare was masked by a mango chutney. The only culinary highlight were the fries with Parmesan truffle sauce. You may not expect the quality you are used to in big cities and the sushi may have been prepared in the afternoon due to a lack of staff, but so much can be “saved” with a sensible response or good service. Instead, you felt personally insulted during service and the rest of the evening was characterized by discontent. So much money for so little, you should rethink your gastronomic concept as a 4 star hotel, dear Bayside Hotel.

The sushi was really tasty, but very overpriced. 50€ for about 20 pieces is just too much in my opinion. Unfortunately the service was extremely unfriendly. We arrived about 5 minutes before the restaurant opened with a lively toddler, fully loaded with strollers and the like. arrived and were sent away again because “it’s not open yet”. I can't think of anything about that. 5 minutes later we got our table. When saying goodbye, they didn't even make eye contact with us and said "bye" with their backs to us. With these prices and the ambience, we simply expect significantly better service. It's a shame, I would like to come back because of the good sushi, but we won't do that because of this experience.

The atmosphere was right and the service staff were nice too. However, the taste of the food is not recommended and it is simply overpriced for the quality. I can't recommend the fish soup at all. No taste and you have to look for the fish pieces in the small soup pot. You can eat the sushi, but for the mini rolls and the price, you get a whole menu in a good sushi restaurant.

**Absolutely Horrible Experience – Threatened Over Ketchup and Mayo** I have never written a review on TripAdvisor but after what I experienced in the Roof Restaurant bar I felt compelled to and hopefully, I will save people some money from this scam. I’m beyond appalled by the way we were treated at Roof Bayside Resturant. What was supposed to be a simple meal turned into one of the most stressful dining experiences I’ve ever had, all because of a miscommunication over ketchup and mayo. We asked for ketchup and mayo, assuming it was a standard condiment with our meal, (the menu was not on the table) only to be told later we had to pay an extra 24 euros for it. Had this been communicated clearly from the start, we wouldn’t have had an issue paying. However, instead of handling this situation professionally or clarifying any confusion, the staff *threatened* to call the police on us. Over condiments! This was a shocking overreaction and completely ruined our experience. There was absolutely no need to escalate something so minor into a hostile situation. The staff’s behavior was rude, intimidating, and entirely out of line, they laughed and talked amongst eachother. We felt like we were being treated like criminals over something that could have been resolved with a simple explanation or conversation. For a restaurant to treat paying customers and guests at the hotel this way is unacceptable. Not only was the service appalling, but it showed a complete lack of respect for customer service. We won’t be returning, and I urge others to think twice before supporting a place that treats its guests so poorly. Disgraceful.

Unfortunately unfortunately the service is a smooth 6. You stand at the entrance coming from the elevator. A nice young lady walks past us 5 times and doesn't ask whether we have reserved or not. Man makes us look stupid. After waiting for minutes, we intercepted a lady who then told us to go to the other side and a colleague was standing there! Great, mood already at its lowest point! The chefs always looked over at us beforehand but no one said anything to them either. Here it's just a listless shuffling back and forth. PS: in an upscale atmosphere and price level you expect that the food and drinks are not passed across the table and that the ladies receive the menu first. Food was good but overpriced. Unfortunately not the quality that you expected and got before.

The view from up there is beautiful. Otherwise we weren't noticed for ages. Only when we approached did a service person ask us if we were still satisfied - and we hadn't even received the menu yet. The order took a particularly long time again. The drinks that came 20 minutes later didn't pass us by until we made our presence known. The same with the food, first our order was given to a table next to us - who had just sat down - then it passed us until we made our presence known again. I have never experienced such inattentive, disinterested and indifferent service staff.

The **Roof in Scharbeutz** definitely impresses with its ambience. The cocktail bar impresses with a long, stylish bar and cozy seating areas that invite you to linger. The outdoor terrace is a highlight, especially in summer, from which you can enjoy the sun and the fresh Baltic Sea air. The cocktail selection is varied, and the rooftop location offers a truly fantastic view over the Baltic Sea - perfect for a relaxed evening. I had the champagne cocktail, which was visually very appealing and creatively designed, but unfortunately I wasn't entirely impressed with the taste. Nevertheless, the **Roof** is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a special place with a great view and a cozy atmosphere.

We (two people) were in the restaurant on a Saturday around 5:30/5:45 p.m. The restaurant wasn't full, it filled up little by little. We waited over an hour for our sushi, which was clearly visible to us on the counter for over 20 minutes. When we asked if and when our order would come and when it turned out that the "counter sushi" was our order, it was re-arranged. It is unclear whether this is possible within 5 to 10 minutes or whether we received the same sushi. The sushi (Sushi a la Chef price for 59€) for the price is not okay in terms of quality and quantity, overloaded with mayo and soy!?, cut unevenly, end sections etc. The plates came after the meal, there were only disposable plates to break apart, very shameful for such a restaurant and also the price. Soy and ponzu had to be asked for and almost came to fruition. End of meal. The service was not good, very uncoordinated throughout the restaurant, neither friendly nor unfriendly, felt uninterested in everything. Despite these dice for service and payment on the tables, we observed long waiting times at many tables in addition to our own table, and orders often could not be assigned correctly. After asking twice to pay, we ultimately went to the checkout ourselves to pay, like almost all of the guests. We sat inside, which was generally okay in terms of ambience, there was an evening event on the terrace, which meant that many of the guests from the outside area initially walked through the restaurant, to eat, to the toilet and similarly on the surrounding terrace, which made it even more so indoors restless. All in all, for the price (€90 for 2 people) it was completely disappointing for us and therefore not recommended at all.

We were at your place and took sushi to go… I am still dissatisfied and sad. We ordered two sets and only got this one for 114.00 euros.. Earlier in the day, we also came to eat at 22:02, they told us that unfortunately it would not be possible, although people were given food on site and they worked until 02:00. The taste of sushi was distasteful. Dry rice and not fresh fish that went into the garbage. They fell apart and were impossible to eat. They didn't even give us a bag, they gave us a container that opened as soon as the waiter handed it to us. If they were closer, I wouldn't leave it like that. So I don't recommend it. The place is nice, but the food unfortunately…

The ambience is really beautifully decorated. It was well attended and the service staff were on point. Most of the food was really tasty, but we realized that sauces weren't one of their strengths. Each of us had a different one and overall they just weren't consistent. For such prices you would expect something different. Really a shame. The cocktails were very good 👍.

An einem Freitagabend im August herrscht hier Totantanz, nur wenige Tische sind besetzt. Der Service ist freundlich, das Essen höchstens durchschnittlich. Zur Vorspeise gibt es vier Scheiben trockenes Brot ohne Butter, Öl oder Dip. Die Hauptspeise, Pulpo ohne alles (die Pommes mussten separat bestellt werden) und 8 Stücke einer Sushirolle, die anscheinend schon länger fertig war… Wir haben auf das Dessert verzichtet und kommen sicher nicht so schnell wieder.

It's a shame, I was here once in 2021 and now in 2024 the roof has unfortunately completely disappointed. Unfortunately, the food was subpar, even the sushi rice didn't taste good. I was really surprised, as the menu mainly contains sushi dishes. You had the feeling that someone had made a sushi roll for the first time in their life and still needed some practice with the right ingredients and preparation. We can do that better at home. The cocktail was okay, but not appropriate for the prices. Unfortunately, the ambience on the terrace loses its charm when the tables are dirty, people smoke at all the adjacent tables and the service is unfriendly or non-existent. In addition, the furnishings on the terrace seem a bit cheap and the windows are so dirty that you don't really have a great view of the beach. The only highlights are the elevator with a view and the clean toilets. Unfortunately there is no longer a hotspot in Scharbeutz.

I had tempura variation as a starter and sushi variation as main course. The food was ok, but far too expensive for the selection and quantity. In addition, of the 3 vegetarian dishes, only one was vegetarian/vegan, the other two had parmesan on it. One would expect a chef in a restaurant of this caliber to know that Parmesan is not vegetarian because it is made with rennet. The service was polite but reserved. The atmosphere was nice once, but I don't need it again.

We had reserved a table on the terrace months in advance for a special occasion and were accepted. When we arrived we were really disappointed. We were supposed to pay 20€ extra to sit outside as there was a closed party there. Added to this was the really unfriendly staff, at such a price range you expect at least a bit of hospitality. We then left and went to eat in the restaurant next door.

You have a great view over the coast and the ambience is right, but that's about it. The service only came with the salt and pepper we had ordered for our meal when we were almost finished. If you sit outside you have to scan a QR to look at the menu. Given the prices, an absolute no go! If you order a meat dish (chicken) for €21, there is nothing there. Fries, vegetables and sauce must be ordered and paid for separately. We definitely won't eat here again.

I loved the rooftop. I ended every day at the sea with dinner there. Same thing the day before yesterday. Because it was raining, my girlfriend and I had to cancel our visit to the beach with the dogs. So we went back up to the roof. When we got there the rain was long over. The seat cushions were still stacked under an umbrella and the tables had not yet been wiped dry. We chose a table under an umbrella and asked the waiter if we could sit there. He nodded. We got seat cushions and placed our dogs so that they wouldn't bother anyone. The table was not wiped dry by the waiter. We did this ourselves with our beach towels and grabbed a menu that we found next to the pile of chairs. The waiter was inside and only came back after 10 minutes. We wanted to order, but he didn't have his order terminal with him and had to get it first. We were not offered a drinking bowl for the dogs and none of the surrounding tables were wiped during our hour and a half stay, even though it stopped raining. We ordered 2 large bottles of water and each ate a fillet of beef. A bottle of water had already been opened when it was served and was not full. The waiter replaced them. After the main course we were not asked whether we would like a dessert or an espresso. Our bill was €112.80. We paid €125 in cash. We were not given a receipt. The amount to be paid was read from the terminal and stated verbally. As we were about to leave, we passed the cake display on the way to the elevator and there was an amazing looking strawberry cake. We asked the waitress if we could stay and each get a piece. Of course! So we went back to the terrace and waited for our slices of cake. It took a while because inside we first had to clarify who would cut the cake, what would be used and which plates would be used. Attached is a photo of the narrow pieces of cake that lay on the side of the plate. We turned these upside down for photos and to make eating easier. Cream or perhaps a coffee or something similar was not offered/suggested/asked for. I remember 4 service staff. There was a table occupied inside and two more on the terrace. I think that an open terrace after a downpour with sufficient service staff on duty can also be made inviting. If the number of guests is not that big, then at least some of it is. Wet, empty tables, chairs without seat cushions, no drink menus, worn drink menus, no cruets, dirty ashtrays and waiters who are not in sight damage the image. Staff without initiative, a disinterest in optimizing profits and service without an eye for detail is only good for the competition. Too bad!

There were two of us and we spontaneously decided on the ROOF. We were not greeted upon arrival. At the bar we were told that seating was free. We went to a table with a sea view. When we got there we were approached by a woman who said that a waiter had just offered her the table. There was no moderation on the part of the staff. There were still glasses on the table and the surface had not been cleaned. A service worker cleared it away without a word. When asked about the order, the answer was that someone would be there shortly. About 15 minutes later a waiter came and took the order. The communication was brief; he wanted to move on immediately after taking the drinks. We had to intervene so that we could still place the food order. The bottle of wine was quickly brought to the table and opened. However, the table remained unclean and was not set. The food was brought to us quite quickly by a service person. When asked about the missing cutlery, he disappeared again without a word. We also asked the waiter for cutlery and waited a total of a minute or two until it was finally brought to us. While we were there we were able to examine the beautifully presented food, which was at least served on warmed plates. In our opinion there is nothing wrong with the kitchen. We really enjoyed the fish and the vegetarian sushi variety. It was the right decision to order two side dishes with the fish; one side dish would not have been enough to fill us up. After the meal our table was cleared again by a waitress. We weren't seen or spoken to by the waiter for 90 minutes after our first order. So the dessert was done and we were happy to have ordered a whole bottle of wine. We could also observe at the neighboring table that a guest was not given wine with his meal and he also had to take care of his own cutlery. In the end, we can unfortunately only recommend the location and the cuisine. The ROOF still has a lot of catching up to do in the service area. Given the rather impressive prices, we weren't prepared to give a tip after this experience. The service was simply too bad for that.

Das war leider eine sehr enttäuschende aber sehr teuere Erfahrung. Man bezahlt für Lage und Dekoration. Das Essen ist leider langweilig und sehr sehr teuer. Sushi wie von Supermarkt mit ein paar Tröpfen Industriesoße (so war unser Eindruck). Ein Boot Sushi für fast 60,-€ was nicht eine Person satt macht…. Dafür 40 Minuten gewartet. Getränkebestellung ignoriert, aber in der Rechnung erschienen. Als wir bezahlen wollten, waren da andere Gäste extrem aufgeregt, die sich wegen dem Essen beschwert haben. Restaurantpersonal überfordert und genau so aufgeregt/aggressiv wie die unzufrieden Gäste. Das passt mir gar nicht! Professionalität muss sein. Nicht nochmal. Preisleistung stimmt einfach nicht. Und Ärger im Urlaub ist nicht wert.

The food was extremely good. There is a great atmosphere inside and outside. The service, however, made an overwhelmed and unfriendly impression. We had to wait 15 minutes for a card. But the food was ready relatively quickly. However, we had to wait a very long time for the bill and had to point it out twice. Despite the long waiting times, we still gave an appropriate tip. The tip was simply pocketed and nothing was said about it. No thanks, no nice day, no joy whatsoever. They simply turned around and said goodbye to us coldly without saying goodbye.

Due to a “public party” in the terrace area, it was hardly possible to have a conversation in the restaurant because the music was so incredibly loud. Service poor and absolutely disorganized. Not recommended! Make it a party place for the hamburgers but leave it with the restaurant.

We ordered two, but they tasted more like champagne-based fruit plate cocktails as they were very heavy on sugar or fruit syrup. Unfortunately, the champagne itself took a back seat. Still a nice place, but the cocktails could be better matched to the champagne.

We visited the restaurant today with 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children. The service was subpar: inattentive, impatient with the order, easily distracted and uncoordinated. We were seated relatively close to the bar and it was so loud that you couldn't have a normal conversation with the other side of the table. Then an order for cocktails that was taken at the same time as dessert was forgotten. Instead of an apology, people discussed and tried to justify themselves and gave away the cocktails to the next table. Overall, we didn't feel welcome and can only advise against a visit.

Vor vier Monaten habe ich für letzten Samstag einen Tisch für eine Gruppe von neun Personen reserviert, um einen besonderen Anlass meiner besten Freundin zu feiern. Am Freitag rief ich erneut an, um die Reservierung bestätigen zu lassen. Dennoch mussten wir bei unserer Ankunft feststellen, dass der Tisch nicht bereit war. Wir standen zu neunt im Gang und mussten weitere 30 Minuten warten. Als wir endlich Platz nehmen konnten, war nur jeder zweite Platz eingedeckt. Wir warteten weitere 30 Minuten auf die Menükarten und konnten bis dahin nicht einmal Getränke bestellen. Nach insgesamt einer Stunde kam der Kellner und erklärte, dass die Getränke mindestens 30 Minuten dauern würden und die Cocktails möglicherweise nicht rechtzeitig zum Essen fertig seien. Nach inzwischen anderthalb Stunden Wartezeit bat ich freundlich um ein Gespräch mit dem Geschäftsführer, um den Abend zu retten. Ich schilderte die bisherigen Ereignisse und fragte nach einer Lösung. Daraufhin wurden wir aufgefordert, das Restaurant zu verlassen. Wir waren um 20:15 Uhr dort und gingen um 21:45 Uhr ohne Getränke oder Essen. Das Verhalten der Mitarbeiter und des Geschäftsführers war absolut inakzeptabel. Wir waren der größte Tisch des Abends, dieser wurde lange geplant und wir hatten uns sehr auf die Feier gefreut, nur damit dies zum schlechtesten Ereignis wurde. Ich empfehle jedem, woanders zu reservieren. Der Ausblick allein lohnt sich leider nicht. Und besonders bei den Preisen erwarte ich etwas mehr Anstand, Respekt und Freundlichkeit. Wir werden dort nie wieder hingehen. Darauf ist Verlass.

I would prefer to give no star at all! This is by far the worst restaurant I've ever been to. We were there on Saturday and had reserved. There was a party going on here that we couldn't find out about during the reservation. But the worst thing was that after more than 2 hours we still didn't get any drinks and we had already finished our food. We said several times that our drinks were missing. They just kept saying, sorry, we don't have any staff. In the end we didn't get it at all because we just wanted to go home. Really how bad can a restaurant be? We waited 30 minutes for the bill even though we complained and said we wanted to pay. In the end we had to run after us so that we could pay! In the end, the understaffed employees can't help it; today they had to listen to one complaint after another! Better save your money and go somewhere else for better food and service, you'll get more for your money and leave happy!

I was there with 3 friends and we had reserved a table. A friend got there 15 minutes before everyone else. She was given a table for 8 people inside, the terrace was well filled and she was allowed to sit there without any attention from the service staff. When we got there she was sitting there without a drink as they continued to just let her sit there. It took another 15 minutes until a waiter came. He finally brought the menu. We chose drinks and we had already chosen the food. When the waiter came we completely placed our order. The drinks (1 bottle of water and 2 white wine) arrived after another 10 minutes. After 3 minutes the waiter came back and wanted to give us the same drinks and was completely confused that we already had some. He went back with the doubled drinks. After 3 minutes another waiter came again with the drinks. Discussed with us why we had already had our drinks. My friend told him that she didn't think the service was that great. But he wasn't interested in this opinion, as he walked away from our table, he then said: "Thanks for your opinion, but that doesn't interest me!" We were horrified, but since I had something to celebrate and my friends had invited me there as a surprise, we stayed. We wouldn't have had a chance of getting a table anywhere else at this time (Saturday evening 8:30 p.m.). The food came and it was really nicely presented on the plates and tasted very tasty! But no one ever asked for more drinks, we had to point out to the waiter that the water was empty and that we needed another bottle of water. This was brought at some point because we asked twice... it was forgotten! In total we were served by 3 different, unfriendly, unfocused waiters. While we were sitting there, as well as at 3 other tables, the lights were turned off... after 10 minutes we noticed that there were still guests sitting there. Thank God we weren't completely in the dark, as the sunset illuminated the room accordingly. The toilets weren't really clean and well maintained. Before you want to use the toilet, you first have to check whether there is paper. An incorrect bill was brought to the next table and so we checked our bill carefully because the guests were supposed to pay for something they didn't even eat. At another table, guests were not happy with the food. I will never be tempted to go there again. I was very annoyed by this service and actually wouldn't give it a star at all!!!

If you are there in a larger group, the drinks take a relatively long time. Staff not particularly alert when the glasses are empty. Otherwise friendly. Seat cushions soak up water and when you sit on them they lose the water through the seams.

If it's a disco evening, entry costs €20 for nothing. Packed to capacity. Waiters don't accept orders. You only get something to drink when the party ends. Nevertheless, praise to the bar people. Do a good job. When there's no disco, everything goes like clockwork.

Nice ambience, good furnishings and a great view of the Baltic Sea. Unfortunately, the service staff was subpar, there were only a few tables occupied, but attention seems to be a foreign word here. During our visit, chairs and tables were moved around and the music system was tested at a deafening volume. The food was average but not up to the price. Overall, I was unfortunately extremely disappointed and another visit is not absolutely necessary.

Andreas Pahl is absolutely right!!! We had booked for 10 days and were very disappointed. The health department should take a look at this store!!! We found the same thing at the evening buffet three evenings in a row. None of it tasted good. It's all soft boiled mush that shouldn't be served to any guest. Bockwursts floated in hot water for days. Only a few of the staff spoke German. 4 star hotel is laughable!!! Maybe in Poland! This is a simple restaurant where you can stay overnight, nothing more. The rooms were only partially clean. We will definitely NEVER come to this house AGAIN!!! Scharbeutz to break the habit!!!
