Vulkan Brauerei in Mendig

We had booked a table for lunch the day before yesterday. The restaurant is really nice and the staff is super friendly. The food wasn't really good for that price. The Brauhausschnitzel was quite dark but still ok. The bacon strips and the accompanying fried potatoes are cold. The volcanic ice cream that was then ordered came in a cup with a handle for seven euros and tasted as if it had already been prepared and left in the fridge without a cover. The vanilla ice cream had taken on a strange taste. Food in this price range is better! A visit to the sports bar made up for the bad impression. Super friendly and super super nice!

Great brewery, always well attended, what's special is that there is always something new when it comes to beer - the limited variety always has a slightly different taste 👍 And when it comes to eating, my favorite is the pork knuckle with sauerkraut dumplings and beer sauce. 🍗🍺🤤

Have lunch with a good friend. Fast friendly service. Steak was great. Definitely visit the beer storage 30 m underground and taste some delicious beers.

We spent our Christmas party at the Vulkan brewery and were very satisfied! We booked the mulled wine round in advance. All in one highly recommended! We'd love to come back! The staff is fantastic, friendly and accommodating! We would definitely like to come back!

Very good food, delicious beer and consistently friendly and attentive staff. It was my first time here as part of a company party, but definitely not the last time!

The staff is very nice and accommodating, the atmosphere is very nice and appropriate. Eat partly/partly... I had the sauerbraten and I have to say the meat was totally dry. Dumplings and red cabbage very tasty. The price of the restaurant is on the higher side.

The Vulkan Brewery in Mendig is definitely worth a visit! I particularly liked the pale ale. 🍻 What I particularly liked: * The taste: The pale ale is wonderfully fruity and refreshing. The tropical notes are clearly noticeable and make it a perfect summer beer. ☀️ * The quality: You can tell that the beer is brewed here with great attention to detail. The use of organic hops from German cultivation speaks for itself. * The atmosphere: The brewery has a great ambience. Rustic and modern at the same time. Ideal for comfortably enjoying a beer. 🍻 * The food: The menu offers a good selection of regional dishes that go perfectly with the beer. Conclusion: If you are traveling in the Eifel and want to enjoy a good beer in a relaxed atmosphere, the Vulkan brewery is the right place for you. It was a perfect evening there, it was so cool that we will now go there like once or twice a month.

I always feel very comfortable there. The service is very friendly and makes sure that nothing is missing. The food is also very good. No matter whether meat dishes or vegetarian dishes, everything tastes delicious. And first the desserts. Shopping in the store also offers many culinary delicacies from the Eifel. I always enjoy coming there, especially since I'm taken seriously even though I'm now unfortunately disabled!!!

We were there for the first time in early 2022. I was really excited. From basically everything. Expensive but great and tasty. An experience. Unfortunately, that was no longer the case in mid-2023. The prices had risen massively, disproportionately overpriced, for very below average food. Neither tasty nor fresh. Pure mass processing and poor service. Unfortunately that was the last time we were there, too bad.

As always, very tasty food - game ragout and salad. And all the waitresses were very friendly!

We went there two evenings in a row because we liked it so much. Great food, no frills. Game dishes are excellent. We tried all the draft beers. We liked the wheat and dark ones best. The staff is without exception friendly and accommodating. The motorhome parking space is 200m away and costs 5 per day. We'll be back!

Ate here with 2 people. The dog was also allowed inside. We were on our way back to the Netherlands and happened to end up here. That wasn't wrong. Very good steak and good beer!

Excellent, we had a great night out yesterday! It's been a long time since I've seen the employees of a restaurant be so hard-working, committed and courteous and identify with their products in such a way. But they can too, the regional dishes on offer were extremely tasty and freshly prepared, and the price/performance ratio is absolutely right here. So dear Vulkan Brewery team, thank you very much for a very nice evening with you, keep it up!

The excellent service stands out. Friendly, unobtrusive and very fast. As soon as you order, the beer is already on the table. The kitchen is also quick. Emila took great care of us. The food is very tasty and the atmosphere is great. There is a deduction because of the extremely low toilets for the women. It's not just older people who find it difficult to get back up...

As always, I was looking for an experience in an adventure brewery and couldn't find it. Or is the experience a rip-off? 'Mendig.

Ordered Black Angus Boys Cut rump steak... It was so delicious. I ordered it English and it was fried to perfection. Meat was 1a. Plus the delicious chili fries. Service Dilara was very attentive and friendly. I felt really comfortable. Haven't been here for a long time, but would like to come back more often now. I can only recommend the belly shop dessert.

On November 3rd Finding a parking space in the early afternoon was a disaster! The place was packed at this time. With 2 dogs and the possibility of sitting outside - the weather was beautiful - the sports bar was recommended to us. Unfortunately there was smoking there - sitting outside was no longer possible! The service was good 👍, the food wasn't great as far as the schnitzel was concerned. The breading was pretty limp, the salad was good, as were the vegetarian burgers. 3 people with 4 drinks, 2 burgers + fries and 1x schnitzel = 77€ in the smoke-filled sports bar 👎🏻 My recommendation is to reserve in advance. I promised myself more!!

The tastiest wheat beer on tap, simply great. I will still test the other varieties, although I prefer wheat. We really enjoyed everything, but you couldn't beat my wife's freshly homemade pumpkin soup. Pumpkin, potatoes, onions, carrots from the Gerolstein market on Saturday, freshly cooked and thickened with coconut milk.

Bought my first growler at the Vulkan brewery today. A good idea for sustainability.

Family meeting at the Mendig brewery. When the weather was good, we stayed on the terrace. The common thread was there from the start. A very attentive brewery team who looked after each and every one of us. Well-kept drinks, particularly highlighting the home-brewed beers but also all other drinks. All dishes were tasty, as the eye is usually impressed. Every dish is delicious in its own right. We will definitely come back again. 😊 Thank you for the pleasant evening with you.

Parking situation a complete disaster. As a result, we arrived 2 minutes late for the cellar tour and were then no longer allowed to take part. That's why I canceled the table.

We like the rustic decor and the relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and orders are delivered quickly. We like the food very much, home-style cooking with changing offerings, mostly with ingredients from the region. We can highly recommend the brewery.

We got a table very quickly from lovely Michaela without a reservation on a public holiday, and our waiter Alex was also great. The food came very quickly and was super tasty and can definitely be recommended.

As usual, the food was very good, we didn't have to wait long for the table even though today was a holiday, thanks to Ms. Michaela. The service staff Mr. Martic was very personable and friendly.

Due to the parking situation, we arrived at 4:02 p.m. and were no longer able to take part in the cellar tour.

We were in the area again and so we chose to eat here at noon. We were not disappointed. As last time, the food was very tasty and was washed down with the local liquid. This is also not to be missed and I can definitely recommend it. We will definitely come back here.

As every restaurateur's nightmare, we came to a full house with 15 people on Sunday lunchtime without a reservation. We were warmly welcomed, directed to a quick stop at B BA and then given a table. Service was absolutely on point. All of the very different dishes were excellent. Friendly treatment of children, pensioners, everyone involved! Absolutely recommended!

I haven't been to the brewery for a while, but nothing has changed in terms of the good attentive service or the delicious food :) On the contrary, I saw the special offer menu with game meat there for the first time and the burger with game meat patty and sweet potato fries was incredibly tasty👌🏽The waiter was nice and relaxed all evening, although, as before, the restaurant was busy. Only the prices have risen quite a bit, but in my opinion it's worth it for the beautiful ambience, coupled with delicious food and in-house beer. I can definitely recommend a visit to the brewery😉 Praise to the Brauhaus team👍🏼

Went there spontaneously for dinner. The food was excellent. The service was also very attentive and extremely friendly. We'd love to come back.

By chance, while traveling with our motorhome, we discovered the brewery and parked in the quite full motorhome parking space nearby. Because of the size of our motorhome, I asked when reserving a table whether we could maybe stand there in the inner courtyard? At least later we could crawl into the motorhome more quickly and, if necessary, “on all fours”. No problem at all, we were immediately offered parking directly in the inner courtyard. We quickly repacked our huge thing and the evening could begin... and it was really stunning. We have rarely experienced such friendly staff and the best…. Someone can really cook game dishes!! As a hunter and experienced game cook, I can really judge that. RESPECT. The portions are world-class, the beer is extremely tasty. We didn't crawl into the motorhome on all fours, but we'll definitely come back and try it again! THANKS to the whole team!

Really a beautiful atmosphere. The food speaks for itself, pulled pork dishes are highly recommended as they spend 12 hours in the smoker and have excellent smoke flavors. The staff is more than friendly and always on their toes. Special praise goes to the waiter named Jarek, who is both extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the brewery. Always a pleasure.

We were lucky there. Get a place without a reservation. Food was very good. Beer should be tried first. My favorite is the light one. Finally, you can take something with you in the shop for the way home.

After a round of maar, ended here. Very cozy! Great beer...loved the tasting tray...my first Ape Pale. And then a perfect burger... I would have liked slightly more suitable buns... so more brewery... but there were different opinions at the table.

Spontaneously and without any obligation, we presented ourselves as a large group at the Vulkan Brauhaus, hungry and thirsty. Even though the store was completely full, a table was quickly and easily organized. The evening turned out to be a hit. Delicious food, extremely good beer and friendly and courteous service made for a very nice evening for us. Thanks especially to ALEX...we'll be back if we're in the area again. Please keep it up!

I was there a few years ago and was very disappointed. Back then, the comfort and delivery of the food left a lot to be desired. It has now been remodeled, it is very comfortable and ordering and delivery of food is also very well organized. The selection and taste is excellent. The types of beer on offer are very extensive, and the liqueurs are also highly recommended. For me, the cookie is always part of it. Very important! Nothing works without a reservation because they are always fully booked. The only drawback is that parking spaces are very limited.

We were there on October 10, 2024 with 12 people and had a very good meal. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Simply recommended.

Despite the size, the ambience is good and the food was very tasty. It's worth a visit just for the different types of beer. Always my pleasure.

I rarely give 5 stars for food, service and ambience. But here I like to do it. The recommended roast pork was not only perfectly prepared, but also very tasty. Plus a freshly tapped drink from the in-house brewery, simply perfect. The waiter treats the guests in a relaxed and very friendly manner, so that everyone has the feeling that they are being personally noticed. I really liked it, especially the modern-rustic brewery atmosphere. I'd love to come back.

Really great selection with seasonal specialties! Both game, smoker BBQ and vegetarian dishes were super tasty, high quality and PL appropriate. Be sure to try the cookie in the pan as a dessert, a real treat even for “non-dessert eaters”! Beers super good! Great atmosphere and perfect staff! We were really excited!

The food is good. The volcano beer is excellent. Dilara (our waitress) was very relaxed and eager to work. You almost felt like you were at home. The guest room is modern. Personally, I liked the old ambience of the brewery better. That was much more rustic and comfortable. But that's just my personal opinion. You can only recommend the brewery 🍻🍻🍻

We were passing through Lake Constance and got there by chance. It was a really great experience, especially with the waiter Davide. We liked it so much that we are making the long journey to our wedding anniversary in December. It all came together perfectly, the food, the drinks, the service. A great location. Simply great.
