Very friendly staff, excellent service, very flexible with meal changes, and reasonable prices. Despite not having a reservation, they did everything possible to quickly free up a table for seven people. Highly recommended.

We went to Brauhaus Essen. We'd love to go back. It was very busy. Still, the staff was super fast and very friendly. ♥️The food had large portions and was very good. As a non-beer drinker, I was surprisingly impressed by the Coke Zero. I'm often used to stale brew. NOT HERE. We'd love to come back and highly recommend it. 🌹 Accessible ☝️☝️☝️

Great location, and the beer is the best I've ever had. I recommend buying a liter of beer. Then you'll pay about €5 for half a liter. The food prices are a bit high, but everything is organic. We only drank beer and enjoyed our time.

Unfortunately, I discovered today that the brewery was closed, even though the website said "open" and the "regular meals" menu was up-to-date (week 20, May 12-16, 2025)! I find it very unfortunate that this wasn't indicated anywhere. No star.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner on Sunday evening. They no longer serve the delicious Gouda salad, only the chicken salad, and unfortunately, that's only available upon request. €17.50 for a bowl of salad with 5 cubes of chicken. Unfortunately, they didn't serve the bread either. Sorry, but you used to be better at that!

Compared to before, the portions have shrunk significantly, but the prices have increased. Unfortunately, the quality has also fallen. I'll put it this way: if I had paid half, the quality of the schnitzel, bratwurst and fries would still not have been satisfactory. This will probably be our last visit here for the foreseeable future, but there are too many better alternatives!

There was only one person taking orders, a NO-GO! as that person stood around talking more than taking orders. The service people were very friendly and quick. This brewery should rethink their system, then they could make more sales and have more happy customers. The beer was very good.

We had a burger that was quite tasty but very small. The chili fries had to be paid for extra and were served with a ready-made sauce - a total of €25 - which I think is absolutely not appropriate. The beer is a matter of taste, but I would have preferred a Lammersbräuer, Tegernseer Helles or Bitburger. Service and ambience were good.

We went to the brewery inn twice. Since we had great weather, there was always a table for two available in the beer garden, despite the great response from guests. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Ordering drinks and food went smoothly. The beer is great, whether with or without alcohol. Lots of choice 👍 For food: a balanced selection, seasonally coordinated. Very tasty, whether simple, for a snack in between or hearty for when you're really hungry after hiking. A big compliment to the kitchen👌 Unfortunately the shop was currently under construction, so we couldn't buy any "merch". Keep it up LG from Saxony

Food and drinks were great. You sometimes wait a while for your second drink or have to ask several times. The beer garden is well suited for families with the included playground for the little ones. But the price is not cheap. Four stars

We went to the brewery for three beers. It currently looks a bit wild from the outside because of the construction site. But it doesn't matter. Everything is great inside. Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive people in service. We didn't eat anything but what we saw at the neighboring tables whet our appetite. That all looked really good. The Sud 13 is awesome. A super tasty bock beer. On the other hand, you can safely forget about the usual suspects on the market. If we head in that direction again with the camper, we'll be happy to come back.

We go to the brewery every now and then. Yesterday, however, I was a bit disappointed. -First of all, definitely not from the extremely friendly and solution-oriented, always in a good mood service staff. Also first of all: there is currently a construction site around the brewery to expand/beautify the complex. The women's toilet was pretty dirty, the entire faucet was missing from one sink and the hand dryer was broken. The food was good. However, the normal BrauhausSalat was taken off the menu. When we asked, we were told that we could still order it. Instead, there are different bowls - you just have to like them. The sweet potato fries were totally over salted (although I haven't gotten any that were generally salted anywhere). Since the beer we ordered tasted strange, we got a different kind. The service staff also rated it as atypical in terms of taste. They wanted to take care of the clarification. I hope that the above points have been improved somewhat on the next visit.

We just had a drink, the staff were friendly and sometimes very entertaining. The food that was brought past us looked quite good. There is a playground for the kids.

First of all, there is definitely more to the ambience, but when we were there there was a construction site. The employees were nice and quick. The food was delicious, even if the sauce on the fish (choron sauce) wasn't my cup of tea.

Me and my family had a great experience at the brewery. The staff knew what they were doing and hardly made any noise at all. The food tasted great and I can really recommend it to everyone.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly and efficient. But the selection of food and the price-performance ratio is not good. As a vegetarian you get different dishes, but none of them are convincing.

We were recently guests at the Mendig brewery and were served by Michaela and Markus - and what can you say? Simply great! Both were extremely friendly, attentive and genuinely warm in their work. Despite the full house, they always had a smile on their faces and an open ear for our wishes. Michaela scored with her charming manner and fast service, while Markus created a real feel-good atmosphere with his humorous, down-to-earth manner. You can tell that they both do their job with passion - this is immediately transmitted to the guests. A huge thank you for the great evening – we will definitely be back!

Very nice stop after our visit to the lava cathedral and the lava cellar. Our host Michaela and the other service staff were very attentive and friendly, drinks and food were served extremely quickly and we enjoyed everything very much. Starting with chips & dips and asparagus soup, the dish of the day, meatloaf with dumplings and red cabbage, game goulash with dumplings, the feta burger with sweet potato fries, the brewery burger (a little more lettuce/tomato on the burgers would be delicious), the schnitzel with fries and fish & chips, and the dessert hot chocolate cookie with vanilla ice cream, we were very satisfied. Since both adults still had to drive, we concentrated on the non-alcoholic light and wheat drinks, both of which also tasted very good.

The restaurant is often full, so you should make a reservation, but the waiting times are still manageable. Unfortunately, the food depends on the day, I've been there several times and never had any problems, except today. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel. On the plate were 2 schnitzels, fries and a little salad. The top schnitzel was lukewarm, not the best temperature but acceptable. However, the schnitzel was cold and that's not okay, the fries were blazing hot by the way. I can still only recommend the resteraunt as it is good in most cases.

A very nice beer garden with good food and friendly service. Perfect if you don't want to use the usual fast food restaurants during a break, but really want to relax.

The beer garden was moderately busy at lunchtime. Although there were numerous service employees, they were poorly trained. My beef steak was well fried, but it had been on display for a very long time, so it only came to the table lukewarm. The second dish, a wild boar leg, consisted of wild boar neck. So a very bad price-performance ratio. There was also no excuse for the lukewarm steak.

We had a delicious meal at the Brewery, which despite the crowds still had a seat for us. The beer flows freely and they have mouth-watering flavors from their own brewery. If you are in Mendig, this is a good place to stay.

The service was great. Drinks and food came quickly, even though it was very busy. The 5 minutes that you had to wait despite having a reservation are not worth mentioning. The food tasted as always. My recommendation. Bourbon Barrel Doppelbock: matured in bourbon barrels in 30 meter deep volcanic caves. 😋 But be careful. 9.5%!!! 🫣🤯😂

We were looking for somewhere to eat off the highway on the way from Mannheim to the North Eifel and found this place! We were immediately impressed by the place and the food (beer sauce with schnitzel, a brewery burger, a shandy (non-alcoholic, we're still driving), and a hot chocolate cookie with ice cream). Everything was delicious and special. We were also impressed by Davide in the front office, who gave us good recommendations and his friendly, attentive service – overall, fast and friendly, unobtrusive, but always humorous and competent. The concept is perfect! We'd love to go back 😋. We've saved the address for future stops, also because we want to explore the shop, which opens in about 2-3 weeks. Best wishes, Heike and René

My girlfriend and I wanted to eat here as part of our trip to Bürresheim Castle and reserved a table online this morning. We arrived and said we had a reservation. Instead of checking our reservation, they left us standing there. It was completely full, and there weren't enough chairs or tables for everyone. Other people had made reservations, too. When, after waiting for 10 minutes, no one had taken care of us, we left. Really poor 😞 and it was exactly the same. If you read my other reviews on Google, you'll see that I always give positive reviews and am not a complainer.

Unfortunately the food (fish & chips) was really not tasty. Fries almost raw. Portion size not justified for the price. But the beer was delicious. And the waitresses were all very friendly.

Went to the brewery on Tuesday evening and were served by Leon. Despite the full house, Leon served us very personably and quickly and we simply felt welcome. The spare ribs were great and the meal as a whole with the side dishes was very tasty. All in all it was a very nice stay at the brewery!

Service friendly, fast, attentive, competent. Food good and plentiful. We were there with 60 people and no one had anything to complain about.

We always enjoyed going to the Vulkanbräu in Mendig. The food is good, the service is also very friendly. Went there for dinner with the family on Sunday last week and we were all shocked. We all ordered a vegetarian burger because the normal one was out of stock at 6:30 p.m. Plus a portion of fries and a side salad. The fact that we ended up paying €17 for a naked burger, plus €5 for fries, plus €6 for the side salad really shocked us. €29 for a burger with fries and salad is pretty cheeky. We're not on Sylt or in an upscale restaurant. It was tasty but nothing special. Unfortunately we won't be coming back to eat because we don't support this exorbitant price and see it more as a rip-off. It's a shame, we actually went there regularly and in the summer it was always a nice start with lunch for us on Sundays.

Unfortunately the menu has been changed and there is no longer a salad, only bowls with extravagant ingredients. The salad with this honey mustard dressing was extremely tasty and had been around for years. I am very disappointed about this!!! Therefore 1 star deducted. I generally visit you several times a year after visiting the Ring and the surrounding area. Then it always goes back to the dreary Ruhr area.
