Sehr netter Restaurant. Sushi ist hervorragend. Auch warme Gerichte sind zu empfehlen. Junges service team was in privat Klamotten arbeiten dürfen. Nur die neue Speisenkarte ist der Reinfall. Es ist in schwarz und sehr unübersichtlich. Es gibt keine Bildern mehr vom Sushi und den verschiedenen Gerichte sondern 3d kollage. Bitte macht eine ordentliche speisenkarte mit realen Fotos. Dankeschön

Es war einmal wirklich gut … jetzt ist es aber nicht mal mehr besser als Supermarkt Sushi(das da schon 2 Tage steht) aber verlangen trotzdem noch premium Preise. Geht wirklich lieber woanders hin

Ein kleines vietnamesisches Restaurant am Rande von Baldham. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der mittagstisch zu empfehlen. Eine Spezialität des Restaurants ist die vielfältige Sushi Auswahl. Leider fehlt dieses Angebot beim Mittagstisch. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Einzig das Bier ist mit 5,50€ vergleichsweise teuer zu anderen Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Gerichte sind frisch zubereitet und ansprechend angerichtet. Extra wünsche (bspw nicht so scharf) werden gerne umgesetzt. Das Personal ist freundlich (auch wenn es schon vorgekommen ist, dass an einem wohl eher schlechten Tag etwas pampig reagiert wird), nur der Kleisungsstil ist für so ein Restaurant eher ungeeignet. Alles in allem ist es sehr zu empfehlen. Das Ambiente überzeugt und sogar auf den Toiletten ist die Ausstattung gefällig.

Essen abgeholt. Das Chicken Tempura Curry sowie das Veggie Curry haben sehr lecker geschmeckt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist in Ordnung, die Portionen sind sehr groß. Das Lokal ist sehr sauber.

Great restaurant with very good food and a great atmosphere.

In the evening, you only have two hours to eat, before the second round of reservations begins. Unfortunately, the service and the kitchen aren't always fast enough to serve three courses à la carte in those two hours. But the food is phenomenal!

I was truly impressed by this sushi restaurant. The food is fresh, lovingly prepared, and simply delicious. The menu is varied and offers something for every taste. The service is excellent – the server is very friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and ideal for a pleasant evening. Since the restaurant is often busy, I recommend reserving a table in advance.

We've been eating here every now and then for a few years now, and we've noticed, as we've read in other reviews, that things have gone down a bit. Except for the prices, of course 😉 The portions have somehow gotten smaller, and the quality isn't what it used to be. What's really annoying, though, is the staff, some of them really unfriendly. The taller waiter in particular often seems annoyed and only gives answers that are one or two words long at most. When we made a reservation by phone on all our recent visits, we were told that we had to vacate the table after 1.5 hours. That's not so great either, especially since the food doesn't arrive in 15 minutes these days. We'll be back, but we'd like to see things improve. Perhaps as prices rise, guests' expectations also rise a bit.

NOTE: It used to be good, but now it's crap after a change of management. We used to enjoy eating or ordering here, but the taste and service have become totally disappointing. The bill is only presented upon request, which unfortunately means you already know that a lot of things are being evaded. That's annoying, because there are also good and honest restaurant owners.

Unfortunately, I find the 1.5-hour booking time very short for a leisurely meal and relaxed conversation. I find that very unfortunate. The food was very good.

Lunch menu - the chicken soup described in the menu was a small, almost cold bowl of soup with surimi strips. The main course was okay. The restaurant seems a bit dingy. The lampshades on the ceiling, a balustrade, etc., were covered in dust. The restrooms could also use some attention, as could the path leading there. Even in June, a Christmas star is still sprayed in white on the window next to the entrance. The menu is missing from the display case in front of the entrance door.

A nice restaurant in itself. The service was friendly and fast. The food and rice arrived quickly, but unfortunately, both were cold at the table. It's clear that in normal restaurants, everything can't be freshly cooked for every guest at the moment; it's prepared in advance. But they could at least keep rice, etc., warm. When it came to paying, I didn't like the fact that they took the money directly at the table without presenting the bill.

In the first few years when this restaurant came to Baldham, it was truly great. The price/performance ratio was also perfectly acceptable. Over the past year, the quality and service have declined considerably. In my opinion, the meat is not high quality, commensurate with the price! It usually contains large tendons and cartilage – unacceptable for "tender chicken"! The peanut sauce tastes like canned food and was inedible recently because it was too salty. The rice is usually overcooked. The tofu tastes of nothing. I always ask for it to be seasoned and fried, and they always say "yes," but then they don't! It's a shame, we've always enjoyed going there.

Increasingly poor service. We ordered food and received something completely different from what we wanted. The food was not very tasty and the service was unfriendly. The staff was unfriendly.

Very good Asian food. Great curries and salads, but the sushi is also excellent. Always worth a visit. I think it's a family business; the sons serve and sometimes seem a bit annoyed, but I don't think it's intentional.

Without greeting, the question: “Reserved?” to the answer: “Unfortunately not” came just a clumsy “then not, they’re full”, turned around and simply left standing. After further inquiries as to when something would be available again, a time was simply thrown in very clumsily. There were two of us and would have taken things with us if necessary, but this “not necessary because of wealth” mentality and lack of empathy now deserves this one star. Thanks for nothing.

I think the ambience convinces people to come here as a priority. The male, smaller waiter is very friendly. The rest of the staff... questionable whether something like that should work in service. Greeting guests, saying thank you, formulating a sentence, not just saying monotonous words... Eating takes a long time and half of it is forgotten. Let's see if we can come again next time. There is still some choice in Baldham.

perfect service and wonderful food

Unfortunately, the quality of the food and the service have deteriorated significantly since the change of ownership. It took forever to place the order and even longer for the food to arrive. The kitchen and staff were visibly overwhelmed. The main courses were swimming in sauce, which meant the duck was anything but crispy, whereas the rice was strangely non-sticky and tasteless. It is incomprehensible why the restaurant is still so well attended. Only the small spring rolls as a starter were ok. I probably won't be coming back any time soon

We already knew the owner from his previous restaurant Thai Tuna and were thrilled - and we weren't disappointed here either! The food is absolutely top, fresh and full of flavor. The authentic Thai dishes are a delight and you can tell that they cook with a lot of love. The new store is beautifully decorated, cozy and inviting. The service is friendly and attentive. Of course taste varies - but for us it's the best Asian restaurant in the district.

Aperol Spriz was totally watery. Lucky roll rubbery. Main course .Beef curry was good.

Wir waren am Samstag Abend zu viert. Es geht sehr eng zu, für Garderobe ist zu wenig Platz und es gibt zu wenig Kleiderbügel. Also müssen die Mäntel auf Stühlen oder der Bank plaziert werden. Also alles noch enger. Auf das Essen mussten wir fast eine Stunde warten. Alle anderen Tische um uns herum, auch wenn die Gäste später kamen bekamen ihr Essen schneller. Zu loben ist, dass man sich ausdrücklich entschuldigte und unsere erst Getränke Runde spendiert wurde. Das Essen selbst war nichts besonderes, durchschnittlich. Es lohnt nicht hinzufahren. In München gibt es sehr viel bessere. Das Sushi wurde gelobt.

Four of us were here on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is actually cozy, but the 3 tables directly behind the entrance door are awkwardly positioned. A bit like being at the train station 😬 But the service makes up for this little downside. Really very friendly and the boss also takes great care of his guests. That impressed me. The one dish we ordered did not correspond to what we expected from the description (where was the specified spice and spiciness?) and unfortunately the meat was extremely dry - a lot of things were missing from the dish. They didn't miss the opportunity, they even insisted on creating something instead that actually tasted excellent - juicy, spicy, slightly spicy, perfect. The selection of dishes is very good - for my taste the menu could also be shorter ;-). All in all, I can recommend the restaurant and will definitely go there again.

We have been visiting this restaurant for several years and have always enjoyed going there because we really liked the food and the service was good too. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly in the last few months. The staff seems inattentive, unmotivated, almost listless and the waiting times are accordingly. During our visit today (we celebrated our daughter's birthday there) we noticed that our waiter was constantly looking at his watch. The question was already on the tip of our tongues as to whether we were perhaps unwanted and should leave again. No friendliness, no asking if there was still a need for drinks... Nothing that would have made our stay pleasant and would make us want to visit the restaurant again. We would really be very sorry for that, because the chef seems to be a person with a heart, because what we got on our plates was really excellent. Please improve your service!

Everything was super delicious as always. Well, the Easter bunny decorations on the first table next to the door could be removed because Christmas is coming soon. But still everything was fine.

We have been a regular customer for many years, but unfortunately the quality continues to decline. For a long time now, the wrong orders have often been received and the highlight today was with almost uncooked noodles for the Pho. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed and we'll probably look for a new Vietnamese guy soon.

Price performance was better here, the service wasn't really attentive, I had to call first because I was too engrossed in my cell phone. By the way, she also enjoyed the evaporator in the dining room... an absolute no-go in the restaurant. Nobody feels like working here on Saturday lunchtime....unfortunately this is reflected in the food and drinks. I remembered it better.

Ordered food to pick up. Today the food was a disaster. I had curry with regular chicken. The meat was so tough that it was almost impossible to bite through. Probably a little older. The sauce was different than usual, spicy and had almost no taste of its own. Unfortunately you can't speak of quality. Since we know the restaurant very well and have visited it many times, I can say from experience that it impresses neither with its friendly staff nor with its high-quality food and corresponding price-performance ratio. Before the price increase a few months ago, we could have ignored it, but today we would like to send constructive criticism.

Good food and very beautiful. Ambient! One issue: 1 hr and 20 mins wait for the food. It is a bit long. Honestly, waiting for 20 minutes is a lot, but more than an hour overboard is probably an understatement. That is how long it took for my chicken curry to arrive. Good portion sizes though.

Die Gerichte sind außergewöhnlich gut, fein abgestimmt, interessant gewürzt. Sehr gutes Sushi (abends) ergänzt das Angebot. Mittags gibt es eine eigene günstigere Karte.

This place, this service, this food was on fire tonight!! Nothing but enjoyment as you could taste the love from the kitchen and the ballet of service! We are foodies that are hard to please when we go out, but we will definitely becoming back to experience the joy of this food on our tongues. ✨

This restaurant is one of my favorites! The quality of the ingredients is very good and fresh. I've tried a lot, salads, sushi, starters and various hot dishes, all of which were very tasty and visually appealing. The service is professional and the atmosphere is cozy and stylish. We are happy to accommodate special requests here. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth it. We've never been able to get a spot spontaneously, so you should always reserve in advance. Like many other people, we often ordered food to take away.

I love coming here, even though sometimes I can only order food and not enjoy the beautiful ambience, the food makes up for it every time. While in some other restaurants you can hardly taste the differences, at Viet Royal you can clearly tell that the work here is with passion. Even the simplest dish still has a great range of flavors. I'm always satisfied! A small note might be that there are mostly spicy dishes that I often find difficult to eat (even though they are delicious!), so a few additional mild dishes for the main courses would be nice.

Usual Vietnamese restaurant, very engaging

Very good Vietnamese cuisine, especially as someone who has already traveled to Vietnam, a taste memory. But I would really like it if Bánh mì were also offered, especially for the lunch break. It would be wonderful.

An old, well-known saying goes: The better is the enemy of the good. This also applies to the restaurant, but especially to the food. The wontons were okay, as was the filling, but there was too much dough around them. The spring rolls had a tasty, seemingly homemade filling. The satay skewers were tough and mercilessly fried to death, the peanut sauce served with it was thin and tasteless. A papaya salad was advertised as spicy, but it wasn't, but rather very neutral. Everything that defines Vietnamese cuisine with its variety of flavors and spices was simply missing, there is still a lot of room for improvement. The dips and sauces that went with the individual dishes, all starters, were generally rather tasteless and boring. The restaurant is very nice inside, sitting on the terrace is very quiet and pleasant. The service is friendly and fast, but we don't recommend it because of the food, we know that much better.

The recommendation came from a diving instructor and it was clear that it was a good tip: divers want good food and to be full in a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices. That's exactly how it was. The food was actually delicious, and despite its very unassuming exterior, the interior of the place is very nicely decorated. Only the ventilation is apparently a bit undersized. Maybe that was only an issue that one evening. In any case, we'll come back when the weather is warm and try out the garden that we could only glimpse through the window...

It's a restaurant. The atmosphere is calm, It was a very clean place. I feel like it was managed and done well with care. It was impressive. Also, the server spoke English very well, so there were no language difficulties. I have been to 4 more restaurants similar to this one. I've never heard English spoken anywhere. I felt very comfortable here because there was someone who spoke English fluently. If you are reading this review If you like ‘Gosu’ I would recommend this place. For those who like cilantro They use a separate plate and give you an extra serving. (They gave it to me when I was eating, but I don’t know if they always give it to me.) The parking lot Even when I went on a weekend morning, the place was empty. There were no difficulties. Oh, and the way they gave you the rice paper?! I was surprised at how wise and clever it was. Eating out was enjoyable in many ways. Thank you~

Ich gehe sehr gerne im Viet Royal essen. Man muss daran denken, am Wochenende zu reservieren, insbesondere als Familie. Das Restaurant ist sehr schoen dekoriert und die Gerichte sind wirklich sehr gut. Ich bestelle oft die Nems und auch die sehr leckere Kumquat Schorle. Wenn man im Osten wohnt, braucht man fuer gutes vietnamesischen essen definitiv nicht in die Stadt reinzufahren :)

We came here for the first time on the recommendation of friends. The starter was very good, the main course was good, similar to many Vietnamese restaurants. So completely ok, but not outstanding either. However, the employees are extremely unfriendly, in a bad mood as soon as they come in and with a face that looks like it has been raining for seven days. Later, when the food arrived, I asked to close the intermediate door because people were smoking in front of the restaurant (including employees) and this was moving to the front tables. I was deliberately ignored and when I asked, they murmured, "It'll be over in a moment " and when I asked again I was ignored again. I have rarely experienced such impudence. Certainly never again.

Ich wollte spontan vegetarische Frühlingsrollen abholen, doch das Restaurant akzeptiert keine Kartenzahlung unter €15. So etwas ist meines Erachtens nicht mehr von dieser Zeit, und schon gar keine kundenfreundliche Einstellung. Also Bargeld mitnehmen, sonst bekommt man hier kein Essen!

A large selection of starters and main courses, everything tasted very, very tasty. The service is very friendly and attentive, not a long wait. Er ist immer noch sehr freundlich (+ sehr Aufmerksamkeit)und ist nicht gemein wie Sie beschreiben, er hat auch absolut Recht wenn der meinte, dass jeder einen anderen Geschmack hat. Wie kann er dir helfen, wenn du nicht weißt was du ungefähr essen möchtest! Sehr schade dass man hier im Internet andere Sachen erzählt.

Es gibt neue Speisekarte mit erhöhten Preisen. Bei meinem Gericht Nr 80 a war der preisaufschlag ca. 2 Euro gegen im Herbst noch. Außerdem Portion deutlich weniger. Sonst wars immer in einer tollen Schüssel serviert, seit neuesten im Teller. Also mindestens 1/3 weniger. Soße zum drüber schütten schmeckt nach nix. Sehr schade alles. Teurer und zugleich weniger geht gar nicht. Sorry..komme nicht mehr.

Ein kleiner von außen sehr unscheinbarer Laden, aber sehr gemütlich und das Essen überzeugt.

Ich hatte heute das Doradenfilet mit Tomaten, Dill und Frühlingszwiebeln Leider sehr geschmacklos, hatte ich früher schon mal viel besser Die Suppe zum Mittagsmemü hat auch nach nichts geschmeckt. Schade, war früher gerne hier beim Essen.

Alle Gerichte vor allem Sushi sind lecker, kleines sauberes Restaurant mit Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Sushi erfreut uns regelmäßig über mehrere Jahre nun schon als kulinarisches Highlight mit gleichbleibend guter Qualität!
