A very nice Vietnamese restaurant. Good food, very freshly prepared (pictured: Pho Xao with duck), and extremely delicious homemade lemonades. The service was attentive and friendly, and the decor is modern Asian without being kitschy.

A lovely Vietnamese restaurant with excellent cuisine. Unfortunately, the staff there seem a bit overwhelmed, so you have to wait quite a while for refills and for the tables to be cleared. The biggest annoyance are the truly annoying fruit flies that buzz around the entire restaurant and occasionally land in your dishes or drinks. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't do anything about it, and I find that rather inconsiderate, given the rather high prices for the food. Anyone who has a problem with flies in their food should look elsewhere in Vietnamese.

I had pho with tofu and thought it was incredibly delicious! A large portion and plenty of it in the soup. We sat inside and found it very cozy. There were little lamps on each table and lots of light wood decorative elements here and there. Overall, the place was really busy; it was a Wednesday, and making a reservation is definitely always a good idea. Even though it was so busy, it was still easy to have a conversation. There's a small parking lot in the courtyard, but it only has room for four cars, and it was already full when we arrived at 6:30 p.m. We'll be making our next appointment here again!

Went there with friends for a birthday dinner, as always, great service and very good food that was served beautifully decorated. We are happy that such a beautiful restaurant is near us. I would particularly like to highlight the service, who kept an overview in the fully occupied restaurant and was always friendly and helpful. We'd love to come by more often

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, and the food is good too. I haven't tried much yet; it's too early to give a full 5-star recommendation. But I'm very happy that good Asian cuisine is finally being offered in this area – without requiring a raise and/or having to visit the boring, classic Poppenbüttel restaurants or the only Chinese restaurant in the area if you don't want to drive forever. The only thing I would improve: It took a little longer for the food to arrive. The team also needs to get used to working together. Overall, a clear recommendation.

The owner is totally unfriendly; I've never experienced anything like it before. It started when all the drink orders came wrong. First, the waitress argued, then the owner came and tried to convince us that it was our fault. And things really went wrong several times. Then he even mimicked my friend; we were truly shocked by such behavior. The food was beautifully presented and tasted quite good, but the duck was limp with a sloppy fat crust, and I didn't feel full. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant and won't go there again.

I find the store very nice and comfortably furnished. The employees are very friendly and do their best to accommodate everyone in a busy store, which they do very well. The price/performance ratio is very good. I've been there several times, and the food has always been very good.

Best Vietnamese or Thai restaurant in Hamburg-Sasel, there is no other way to say it. They have been there for two years now and are doing a really, really good job. You should make a reservation on the weekend. A very good lunch during the week.

I'm not an expert on Vietnamese cuisine, but I immediately felt at home here and the food tasted very good. We have been there several times now and have taken friends with us who are also enthusiastic. We will always go back here!

Service is terrible. Very unfriendly and zero customer focus. She misunderstands or writes down the orders incorrectly and then blames the customer for her own mistakes. Instead of apologizing for that and the fact that my husband and I were able to eat at different times because of her mistake, I was accused in front of the entire customer base in the store that I had ordered incorrectly. The operation urgently needs to be changed here or the goal is to scare away customers. So if you do order there, be sure that she understands it correctly, writes it down correctly and transmits it correctly to the chef. Otherwise you'll quickly lose your appetite after the waitress has fed you with her bad mood and her insinuations and accusations.

A really great and highly recommended Asian restaurant! Particularly noteworthy is the wide lunch offering with several menus at fair prices. The restaurant was well attended and even larger groups were served quickly and easily. I chose the Asian tapas and enjoyed a mix of four starters - simply delicious! Great taste, excellent value for money. I can highly recommend this restaurant!

There is a strange smell in the entrance area (I suspect because the toilet is right there). Otherwise the food is always delicious.

Had a delicious dinner! After a hard day at work, I didn't want to eat heavy food! Then Viet came to mind and I thought I would give the store a chance, which I didn't regret. I ordered the delicious summer rolls with salmon as a starter. Fresh ingredients and the delicious sauce were great. The main course, chicken fried in delicately fragrant rice with pak choi and crunchy vegetables sprinkled with roasted peanuts and a fruity sauce, was very tasty. Price performance = standard Not too expensive - service great and accommodating. Conclusion: As a neighbor, I would love to come back and eat again.

The food here is absolutely delicious, the decor is bright and beautiful, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. Vietgarten is now our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Hamburg.

This was our first time here and we would love to come back. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine, it was very tasty, the portion was sufficient and very filling. The “homemade” drinks were also tasty! We will definitely come back to try more dishes. We were lucky and got a table for 1.5 hours without a reservation. Card payment was possible. The service was nice and unobtrusive. The toilet very clean. All in all a successful visit.

Very friendly service. As expected, the food was good as always. One reason we prefer Viet Garden to a regular Chinese restaurant is that everything isn't drowned in brown sauce. The vegetables are fresh and firm to the bite.

It was very crowded at 7pm on a Saturday evening. The menu is extensive and offers variations in terms of meat or tofu. I decided on a passion fruit spritzer, whereupon the waiter asked me whether I wanted large or small, a reference to the menu, where there is no choice of fruit juice spritzers for 3.50 euros for 0.3 liters. I was given a glass of tap water to dilute. I ate U8 with chicken, no peanuts, but with a lot of garlic, which caused confusion for the lady who took the order. The wish was implemented and I enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, no real candles on the tables, just portable table lamps with 4000 mAh and USB-C connection.

Unfortunately, almost all dishes contain fish sauce, which cannot be left out of the dishes. As a vegetarian/vegan, it would help to label the dishes for vegetarians/vegans.

I was there today because of the proximity and the good reviews. From the outside it seems rather “well”. You are even more pleasantly surprised when you enter the restaurant. Nice and friendly atmosphere, bigger than it looks from the outside. Very friendly service. Good advice. Delicious food (the pho soup can be seen in the photo). I'll be back 😄 Update September 2024: We are still here regularly and always satisfied. Anyone who orders Pad Thai has to look closely, because it is made with other noodles and not “original Thai”.

Nice Vietnamese restaurant! Great authentic dishes and a tapas menu. Had a Tom Yung Gong, lemon soup with prawns (Thailand) and a bowl with chicken and teriyaki sauce. The menu is quite extensive, so there is enough choice for vegetarians too! I will probably go there more often, pleasant atmosphere and lots of space inside, there is a beer garden outside where you can also sit nicely. There are 4 parking spaces near the beer garden. Friendly service and attentive, I can recommend!

The food was (once again) 1a! Unfortunately, despite calling in advance that we were coming with a baby and dog, we got a table right by the open patio door. It was pulling pretty hard and we had to put the stroller in another corner. But with friendly insistence, we were able to park the car next to us and, at my request, the door was kept closed as best as possible. Next time I would have liked to get a table with more space at the edge if I reserved it in advance. But my wishes were met very well. We will be back definitely. The food is great and the service is super friendly!

It's not crazy, but it's worth a visit, the food is tasty and nicely presented:::::::::

The three main courses we had were very tasty (be careful, spicy). The waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, the bread stick with the Pho (soup) was stale, which is what I said when I asked if everything was okay with us. I was really looking forward to this side dish but it was inedible for me. Unfortunately I was not offered a replacement. Therefore a star deduction for an otherwise recommendable restaurant.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, the interior is very tastefully and lovingly designed, with plenty of seating. The ambience was completely redesigned and modernized last year. The toilets are clean. There is a large covered terrace and 4 parking spaces in the yard. The terrace is barrier-free accessible with only a small step. The service is attentive and friendly. The dishes are presented in a visually appealing way, on very nice dishes. There is something suitable for everyone on the tapas menu. We had nothing to complain about in terms of taste and were surprised by the delicious dips. The portion sizes are good. The price-performance ratio is right here. We'd love to come back!

We were there in a small group and it was packed - good sign. Four cars can park behind the house, otherwise on the street. There is a great covered patio area for warm days (or smokers). Service very nice and friendly. Interior cozy, rather modern, very pleasant. Great map, lots of pictures and explanations. We had the crispy fried chicken with coconut curry and peanut sauce, rice dumplings with tofu and wide noodles with chicken. All good portions, very nicely presented, lots of sauce (!under the vegetables and crispy chicken). It all happened at the same time, something you don't always experience. Super delicious, I can't say more!!! Definitely not the last visit. For dessert there was great Macha ice cream, bananas with ice cream (could have been fried a little more) and rice pudding (lots + filling). There are also Viet tapas and sushi. Since we saw the sushi platters on the neighboring tables, we definitely have to (!) try them as soon as possible. Finally a great location in Sasel

Based on the external impression, I wouldn't have thought of visiting this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience. The food wasn't great, but OK. Unfortunately, I found the service to be subpar. Despite making a reservation we didn't feel welcome. The staff seemed listless. No eye contact, inattentive. We found our reserved seat ourselves. It was difficult to order a drink. I don't feel like eating here anymore.

Sehr schöner Asiate (Vietnamnesisch, Thailändische Küche). Freundlicher Service, sehr schönes Ambiente und tolle Karte. V.a. die Asia-Tapas fanden wir sehr ansprechend und aus einer großen Auswahl haben wir mehrere Sachen gewählt. So konnten wir verschiedenes probieren und teilen...wirklich toll. Aber auch die anderen Gerichte haben sich sehr gut angehört. Auf alle Fälle kommen wir wieder.

Four of us spontaneously went to Viet Garden at Easter. A nice restaurant that doesn't have a typical Asian style. Very modern look, visually appealing menu and dish that is in tune with the times. We drank a yuzu lemonade, which we can absolutely recommend. As a starter there were summer rolls (very good) and gyoza (good/okay). The fried sushi was great. The California Roll too. The shop is very, very loud, especially when there are several people in the room. This is something you should keep in mind if you want to stay here a little longer. Parking for 3-4 cars. All in all a great visit. Recommended.

Sehr gutes schmackhaftes Essen!

You walked into the restaurant and the first thing they said was that you could only have a table until 1815, meaning you could sit in there for 45 minutes, even though we had a reservation. They completely forgot about our starter. Our food was cold. Service wasn't good, no recommendation to go there.

Nachdem uns das Restaurant von mehreren Bekannten und Freunden empfohlen wurde, sind wir gestern recht spontan dagewesen. Wir waren, trotz der vorherigen Empfehlungen, positiv überrascht. Das Restaurant ist sehr nett eingerichtet, der Service war super und, trotz kompletter Auslastung, auch schnell. Mein Highlight war die Homemade Lemonade mit Mango und Maracuja, in der sogar frische Maracuja verarbeitet wurde! Das Essen war schön angerichtet, sehr lecker und die Portionsgrößen wirklich gut. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat absolut gestimmt. Das einzige was ich negativ empfunden habe, war die Lautstärke im Gastraum. Deshalb nur vier Punkte für das Ambiente. Ansonsten können mein Mann und ich das Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder!

Ein rundum wunderbares Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist sehr geschmackvoll, der Service extrem freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist authentisch und echt vietnamesisch. Unser Abend war wundervoll lecker und entspannt. Wir werden wohl zu Stammgästen 3.12.2023 : Meine Ergänzung kann nicht anders klingen. Der Service ist hervorragend, zuvorkommend, sehr aufmerksam und einfach perfekt. Wir haben uns wieder extrem wohl gefühlt. Das Essen ist toll, der Wein wird liebevoll serviert. Ehrliches, gutes, ziemlich original/authentisches Essen und das schnell und nicht teuer. War in 10 Monaten schon acht mal da und meine Begleitungen gehen jetzt auch dorthin. Qualität empfiehlt sich selbst!

Absolut toll, unsere ganze Gruppe fand das Essen richtig lecker und frisch. Ich bin meistens nicht so ein Sushi Esser, aber sie hatten es auf der Karte und irgendwie hatte ich dann Appetit drauf. Das Sushi war richtig gut und auch die Speisen die wir nur an den Nachbartischen gesehen haben sahen lecker und sehr gut gemacht ist. Auch die Inneneinrichtung ist super gemütlich und sie hatten sehr viel Auswahl. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir haben die veggie tapas platte genommen. Und danach habe ich die miso suppe bestellt. Und dazu Yuzu limonade. Nachher haben wir Yuzu tee bestellt, da wir draußen saßen und es durch den Regen etwas Kühl geworden war (Ende September). Sehr schön präsentiert, Alles sehr lecker!freundliches Personal. Schöne atmosphäre. Wir waren um 18 Uhr da und der Laden war sehr schnell voll.

Schöne abwechslungsreiche Auswahl, alles frisch zubereitet. Wir hatten eine gemischte Vorspeisenplatte, so konnte man unterschiedliche Sachen probieren. Sehr netter Service.
