Viet Bowl in Berlin

In Marlene Dietrich Square, next to Potsdam Square, next to the casino. Huge portions.. It's embarrassing because the soup is big.. Embarrassing.. In a good way.. It was missing that they brought it in a bucket.. The sushi is phenomenal, the goose is delicious in every dish, the noodles, the rice, the meat - everything is delicious and not expensive. Love it 💛🖤

The food is standard, but it has little to do with what's on the menu. It's edible and nobody's going to die, but it all seems like made-up versions of Vietnamese dishes. All the staff are Asian and have apparently heavily Germanized the cuisine. I can't understand the consistently high reviews. The food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering, so I knew what to expect. The service staff were also very relaxed. However, the price is reasonable for the location and not overpriced.

Cramped, cramped, Viet Bowl... Inside, it feels like a canteen. Very loud (you can hear all the kitchen noises), dark, and worn. But everything runs smoothly at Potsdamer Platz. The food isn't anything special. They skimp on the salmon in the sushi, and the main course lacked typical Asian herbs (mine had radicchio and shredded lettuce). The prices are okay. I wouldn't recommend it.

We went to Vietbowl for dinner for our stag/hen party. We had a reservation, and the only downside was that we sat outside in the "tent," as the atmosphere wasn't as nice as inside. However, the food was delicious and the service was good.

Aside from one rude guy who wouldn't believe I'd booked a table, everything went well. The Vietnamese spring rolls are excellent, and the duck cooked by an Asian is the best—no contest. The place is nice, albeit noisy.

We were a small group and had dinner there. The food was tasty, and the location is super central, not far from the Potsdamer Platz S-Bahn station. The prices are also reasonable for the area (meals under €20). The service was okay, but nothing special. The atmosphere is pleasant, but we found the tables too close together. Reservations are highly recommended, as it was quite busy that evening.

The food was okay, but we had an uncomfortable experience with the service. After realizing we were visitors, a female server pre-selected a tip amount on the payment machine right in front of us, which felt a bit presumptive UPDATE: This place has attempted to remove my review multiple times. However, after reviewing my evidence and supporting materials, Google decided to reinstate it. My recommendation to the restaurant: when an issue arises, please verify it with your staff. All receipts are electronic and should be easy to retrieve. If a review is inaccurate, your first response should be to reply with evidence, not to attempt to quietly delete or cover it up.

Very busy place, food very good, rather loud but nice atmosphere.

The restaurant is relatively small and therefore quite noisy, but the food is excellent. We highly recommend the noodles, curry, sushi, and the appetizer platter.

Luckily, we had a reservation, as the restaurant was quite busy. Nevertheless, we received prompt and friendly service, and the food arrived relatively quickly and was very tasty. Definitely recommend it :)

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant! The food is delicious and full of flavor!

I recently visited this restaurant and was very disappointed by what I witnessed. They have an open kitchen, which I usually appreciate because it allows customers to see the cooking process. However, during my visit, I noticed something extremely concerning — one of the kitchen staff members picked food from a customer’s plate and ate it before bringing it out to serve. This is completely unacceptable and unhygienic. Seeing that made me lose all confidence in the cleanliness and professionalism of the restaurant. I couldn’t enjoy my meal after that, and I left feeling uncomfortable and disgusted. Never again!

I visited this fusion Viet restaurant on a quiet Sunday night when I was craving hot soup for a rainy evening in Berlin. The restaurant has a cozy, modern interior and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I requested a small bowl of pho was exactly what I needed, comforting and full of flavor.

Amazing place with a nice wibeand good food

The environment is modern and stylish, definitely a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Food quality was average — not bad, but also not particularly outstanding given the wide options available in Berlin. Prices are fair and reasonable for the location. Service, however, could be improved. Staff seemed a bit inattentive during my visit, and it would make a big difference if they were more proactive. Also, there was no Wi-Fi available, which can be inconvenient for visitors and tourists who rely on connectivity. Overall, a decent spot with a pleasant setting, but there’s room for improvement in both service and details.

We give five stars for the amazing creative energy and very generous plate sizes. Be advised, though: if you seek authentic, traditional Vietnamese taste profiles, the modern approach here might not be what you're looking for.

A Vietnamese restaurant with lots of vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes. We ate there twice. Excellent poke bowl, excellent nigiri, very fresh fish, Tom Yum soup with mushrooms and tofu also excellent. We didn't really like the first dish on the vegan menu, udon noodles in soup. The food comes very quickly and the service is excellent!!

Had a wonderful experience here. Came for dinner over the weekend and had a good time. Our server was very quick and helpful. My partner and I both had noodle based dishes which tasted fresh and full of flavour. Had plenty of choice and seating. Felt like a great atmosphere and would recommend to those in the area.

Very poor service. We arrived and were completely ignored, even though two waiters saw us. After we got our own menus, one came over and simply said, "There's no sushi." Very friendly. We didn't stay.

I recently wanted to eat at this restaurant with two companions, but was deeply disappointed. The service couldn't care less about its customers. We ordered two appetizers. One companion's main course arrived at the same time. The other main course arrived ten minutes later, and we had to wait another 20 minutes for the last one. Truly outrageous. The service never once asked how we were or whether we wanted more food or drinks. This restaurant won't even look back at me again! I'm truly appalled at how such unfriendly service staff can still exist these days.

I can only agree with most people. The food is more expensive, but worth every cent. Simply very, very tasty. I had the duck breast. For around €12.00, I think it's a fair price, as the quality and preparation are truly top-notch. It's as soft as butter and very, very tasty. I've never had any problems with the service. They're always very friendly, and I've never had to wait long. And in my opinion, they have the best sushi. The sake menu cost around €16.00, which is also reasonable for what you get.

Very disappointing! The rice was completely dried out, the "fried" udon noodles were nothing more than boiled noodles in sauce, and the salmon was old and inedible. This shouldn't be served in a restaurant. Never again!

Really nice location, lots of choices on the menu and very well prepared and presented dishes.

The food is so delicious. I specially loved the Ha Noi Pho, the broth was so rich and aromatic. The duck in the green papaya salad was the most delicious duck I have tried, it was so tender and the crust was slightly crunchy and saucy. Would definitely come back.

Always fresh & delicious dishes with great vibes

The broth was overly salty and tasted overwhelmingly of artificial MSG. The beef was tough and lacked flavor. Honestly, even the pho from a nameless little shop down a side alley would have been much better than this. Very disappointing.

The food was plentiful and very good. Unfortunately, after ordering, we were informed that our meal was sold out and no longer available. Therefore, we had to wait a very long time for our reordered meal.

The quality of the food was disappointing, as you can see from the images. We ordered four different dishes, but they all looked the same. The vegetables were identical, the spices were the same, and the chicken had the same cheesy teriyaki sauce coating. On a positive note, the service was very fast, which is understandable since they were just assembling the same dish. Additionally, the atmosphere was, to be honest, delightful. I would recommend going there just for a drink.

What an absolute treat! This place delivered in a massive way on quality, taste and value for money. The flavours of the Nigiri salmon melted on your tongue blending beautifully with the quality soy sauce provided. The beef teriyaki udon noodles were rich, dark and with a scrumptious medley of vegetables on the bottom of the bowl. The creamy coconut chicken smacked of mild spice, tang and sweetness, suggesting an authentic red curry paste had been used. The duck fillet was moist on the inside, crispy on the outside and perfectly paired with the rest of the dish. Service was good and the atmosphere delightful! You can even spot the large Coi fish in the pond outside!

The food was mediocre in taste; half the plate was filled with radish. The homemade lemonade tasted like watered-down juice. The appetizers were all served one at a time. We were served by four different servers, and not one of them even smiled. When we paid, we didn't even receive a thank you when we tipped. Not recommended!

We ate at this restaurant and had mixed impressions. The food was freshly prepared and visually appealing, but the taste was rather disappointing – overall quite bland and underseasoned. The service was unfortunately disappointing. While we didn't have to wait long for our food, everything was served one after the other, so we couldn't eat together. The drinks – especially the "homemade lemonade" – were also disappointing. They tasted watery and heavily diluted, lacking any clear flavors. The prices are a bit high overall, which is unfortunately unjustified given the mediocre taste and mediocre service. The ambiance is nice, but overall, we weren't impressed with the experience. Unfortunately, we didn't even get a thank you for the tip!

An excellent Asian cuisine experience just off of the main Potsdamer Platz. My family has been here twice during our stay and both times have had consistently good food and drink! Our meals would start with sushi, which was excellent, and the would continue to the main course, all of which was full of flavor and immensely enjoyable! The cocktails would be the one area that was not consistently great. Two of the cocktails we had were fantastic, but some were just all right. Still, not a major issue, and hardly detracted from our experience. Highly recommended.

We had here our first Vietnamite food experience. Plate tested were very tasty and we like them. We also tested the panna cotta coccus and we find it lovely. Price for Berlin and location are fine. Water is always more expensive than bear….

This is a great option when you are all schnitzeled/currywursted/donerkebap'd out. There are filling and healthy and tasty options here made with fresh ingredients that are good quality. We had the pho beef bowl and the mango tofu salad and this was enough for a light meal for 3 people. Food service is prompt, even when it is busy. The tables and stools are a bit tightly squeezed together but people are respectful here. Would come again.

Well, it is amazing place in heart of Berlin .The sushi, bowls and nudels is the top of quality and the taste of this is perfect.. The atmosphere is very pleasent and the stuff and waiters are helpfull and very profesional .This is a piece of Asia cuisine in Berlin ..

I loved everything about this place. It's a small restaurant run by Vietnamese people who serve heart on a plate. I've had bowls before, but never like this. The proportions were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of rice, fresh and tasty fish, and a generous portion of vegetables. Nothing was lacking. And everything was topped with a perfect sauce. I definitely recommend it. It was one of the most interesting moments in Berlin.
