Viet Bowl in Berlin

Super delicious sushi and a very friendly and helpful team! I was in Berlin on business and stopped by for dinner in the evening because my hotel was nearby. The restaurant is beautifully situated by a small lake, and the sushi was delicious. Unfortunately, I had left my e-reader at the restaurant. When I realized this the next day, having already left Berlin, I asked the restaurant to send me the e-reader and I would cover the shipping costs. I received an incredibly nice email in response, saying they would be happy to send me the e-reader and even cover the shipping costs. What great service! Thank you to the entire team! I'll be happy to come back next time I'm in Berlin!

Amazingly delicious food and very friendly staff. A bit noisy inside at full capacity for our taste. But otherwise, everything was great!

A reserved table, located by the door in the middle of the train, where it's impossible to move. The food was bland and tasteless (101 Chicken Teriyaki). The appetizer platter was okay. The food (for six people) was served with a delay of over 10 minutes. The service was performance-oriented (serving guests as quickly as possible, with little customer service or friendliness). The icing on the cake was a visit to the restroom, where another guest vomited, which made the visit an absolute horror.

Very fast and friendly service, delicious food, beautifully presented. Asian food with a twist. Unfortunately, the portions were a bit small for the price, especially the lack of rice, although there was plenty of meat. Beautiful location by a small lake. Very fragrant restrooms. Card payments accepted. Also a popular choice for singles. Thank you!

The man go salad was simply amazing.

Located immediately 300m from Potsdamer Platz with a view of a large body of water. Original Vietnamese food. Very nice, fast service with little knowledge of German. I thought it was very good that a homeless person was also helped. Uncomplicated. The duck in rice was very tender, the vegetables were crunchy and therefore a successful composition. Outside with wooden tables and inside with stools cramped but still OK. The kitchen is open and the chefs are incredibly quick and yet friendly. Conclusion: A fresh, very good meal, always with a smile.

Delicious food, nice staff, chic restaurant :)

The food is fresh, colorful, fragrant and... tasty as hell. Each bite was pure pleasure - a perfect balance of flavors, everything refined in detail. In addition, friendly staff, quick service and a nice atmosphere - no fuss, just chill and good energy. You can see that they know what they are doing and that they put their hearts into what they serve. If someone is looking for Asian atmosphere at the highest level, Viet Bowl is a must-see. I will definitely come back there on my next visit to Berlin. Petard!

Our dinner at the Viet Bowl restaurant on Potsdamer Platz with our teenage children was an experience to repeat! The prices are affordable, the portions are large and tasty with a very varied menu to choose from, and the service was friendly and fast. To repeat!

We were very happy with our visit. The food came very quickly and the service was very friendly. The Mango Lassie and the Coconut Noodle Bowl are highly recommended. The sushi is also very good. Above all, it is very inexpensive. The location is perfect and quiet. It's a bit of a shame that the dirty plates weren't cleaned up until we paid and stood around for about 20 minutes. However, the positives very much outweigh the negatives. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious; we had sushi for two and dumplings as a starter. The sushi was of excellent quality, the selection was varied, and the portions were also very generous for two people. The service was prompt; the place was completely packed, but they still made sure everyone had a seat. Due to the size of the restaurant, it's quite cramped and noisy when it's full, which takes some getting used to, but it didn't bother us. Reservations are highly recommended if you want to be sure of a table.

It was very crowded and we got the last place for 2 people at 6 p.m. We sat in the tent annex and shared a spot with another couple. There were long tables and benches, kind of like a tent seating set. The heaters made it pleasantly warm. Overall it was very crowded. Also in the interior. Too tight for my taste. Fewer guests at a table would mean a better ambience. Therefore only 3 stars for the ambience. The food, however, was terrific. It was the best duck I've ever eaten in an Asian restaurant. 5 stars. The portions are also large.

Luckily, I made a reservation because it was absolutely packed. The food is delicious and the service is very good.

Good Vietnamese restaurant with a great outdoor seating area—perfect when the weather is nice. I had the red curry bowl, which was good, but the real standout was their grilled chicken—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Overall, a solid spot.

We went twice in 3 days, had Big Soup w/beef €14.50, Big Soup w/chicken €14.50, rice w/roasted duck €17.90, fried spring roll (w/prawn+fish filling) €6.90, grilled chicken sticks €6.90. All were delicious & as expected! Quick & good services!

I can't remember a meal that has excited me so much in recent years. Everything fresh, great dressing and the duck cooked to perfection. The fact that the restaurant was full to the last seat speaks for itself!

No reservations possible for 2 people. You should just come over. But if I want to go to an event nearby in the evening, I don't have the time to check beforehand whether there is a free table and then be turned away. Usually it's full everywhere on Saturday evenings if you don't have a reservation. It's a shame, because the food was always very good there. This is how you scare away your customers. Will now go to the competition.

The food in this busy restaurant on Potsdamer Platz is delicious, but three dishes at a table for four people arrived cold.

We ordered small soup with coconut & chicken (it reminds me a Tom Yum), Big Soup (Pho…) & noodles with meat. Everything was so good! And super fast by the way ☺️ Highly recommended! Also I suggest to try a lemonades - it so delicious!

We ate right by the water and it was soooo soooo delicious! Portion really huge, great value for money. Salmon tasted and looked very fresh. Gladly again!

It says (internet) everywhere, reservation would not be necessary. Very annoying. On a Saturday afternoon there were “reserved” signs on every table. The indoor seats only have stools. Interior small and uncomfortable. Never again.

We had dinner here before our visit to the Blue Man Group. We got a place for two without a reservation. Although the place was quite busy, service was prompt and food was on the table quickly. Everything tasted good: the sauce for the summer roll was great and we were particularly impressed by the ribbon noodles with the shallot and soy sauce. And at €50 for a starter, two main courses, two juice spritzers and two espressos, it was also a great price. Clear recommendation, also because it's so quick.

Very large portions! Everything presented in a very attractive way. The only minus is that dishes that should have been fried were more like boiled.

OMG that was excellent - Definitely “the next level” in Asian cuisine for me. I have never had such a delicious duck dish at an Asian restaurant. The crispy duck is available with all sorts of side dishes and sauces at practically every Asian, Vietnamese, Mongolian, etc., but this duck dish with udon noodles wins by far. Not only was it fresh and attractively prepared... No... the duck was served in the classic portions juicy and pink to boot and this in a full restaurant - from now on the typical gray of a duck will be viewed differently by Asians. The homemade juices, presented in numerous versions, were a tad too sweet, but were back in balance as the ice cubes liquefied. The sushi was also a delight. The look, taste and quality were also consistent here. If you watch the Blue Man Group, you should definitely treat yourself to something here afterwards - for me it will also be worth a detour on my next visit to Berlin.

Tasteful food and very kind server!

Unfortunately I didn't get the coconut soup at all. The waiter was also challenged to divide the bill by two.

I ate here with two friends and am very disappointed. The food was acceptable but the service was very unpleasant. Two of us were already there and we were still waiting for a friend. The waitress kept coming over and asking about the order. We wanted to wait a little longer so as not to be rude to our friend. The reaction from the waitress was just annoyed and the looks were very angry. Then we ordered drinks and food. That wasn't a highlight but ok. We wanted to chat and were constantly asked about further orders. It was very clear that if we didn't order anything more, we'd better leave. We felt very unwelcome. This restaurant is probably more about quick turnaround and not about a cozy atmosphere and time to eat. This is also made clear by the many very arranged tables, which makes it very loud and crowded in the restaurant.

The service was super nice but as a vegetarian I can’t recommend the curry. The tofu was crunchy but flavorless and the meal as a whole tasted quite bland …sadly 💔

Comes in a large bowl Pho Bo rice noodles have a lot of cilantro and the meat is a bit tough. There seem to be a lot of good menu items. However, the beef rice noodles were disappointing. I was curious about the menus at other tables.

Amazing sushi rolls - probably some of the best I’ve had in Berlin so far! The fish is incredibly fresh and portions are very filling.

Die Kokos Suppe mit Lachs war nicht gut. Nach dem Essen muste ich kotzen. Wahrscheinlich war der Lachs nicht Frisch? Der Tempura Sushi war auch nicht gut. Ich gehe nie wieder dort zum essen. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The food is not fresh at all. Maybe the Salmon was already overcooked because I barely ate all the coconut soup and it made me dizzy and I immediately had to vomit. The breaded sushi was cold and inedible. The sauce that covered the sushi was very sweet and cloying. The bathroom is for one person and when the place is full there is a very long line. The service is not the best either.

This place is always bustling so we decided to try it out, but it was a little disappointing. Seating was very cramped and uncomfortable, and the food was just fine. The service staff were generally quite polite and helpful though, so this is a plus! I’m always skeptical when a restaurant serves food that does not belong in their respective cuisines, like serving sushi at a supposedly Vietnamese place…

Not a bad shop: Food prepared very tasty, with good ingredients. However, it's not hyper-authentic (which isn't surprising given the clientele), but it's visually nicely presented. Service was rather listless to tortured (especially the girls), but efficient. Furnishings stylish and functional, but not very comfortable. (There are not enough individual tables with chairs, but mostly communal tables with only benches.)

The food is very tasty. It's definitely nice to sit outside in summer. I find it a bit tight inside.

The mango is also fresh and delicious. The store is also friendly, so if you're passing by, be sure to stop by.

It's great. The portions are large and the service isn't great, but the food and atmosphere are both okay.

Money spent here is money well spent. All things considered it's not expensive as the food is great and the portions are big enough to cause a calorie induced coma! The restaurant is a little crowded (lots of small tables) and noisy but the service was swift and we managed to get by without knowing German. The menus are bilingual (but without any pictures) and the food selection is great: A couple of strong dishes in every category with a lot of options for the "meat" in main courses, which might look very similar but have a great range of taste. The sauces were a flavour bomb and the chiken was juicy. The grain, meat and vegetables were perfectly portioned into thirds but if you enjoy having more rice than meat there might not be enough. The drinks were refreshing but the straws didn't survive. The fried dumplings were very crunchy and on the oily side. My only complaint is that they were out of spring rolls. We'll definitely come back when in the area!

Che ossessione, questi ristoranti vietnamiti a Berlino! Ce ne sono dappertutto, spesso con menù improbabili in cui si mescola di tutto, dalle zuppe pho e dagli involtini a cibi che con il paese del Mekong non c'entrano un bel niente: sushi, ramen, pad thai, gyoza e più ne ha più ne metta... E il bello (?) è che se ne leggono recensioni mirabolanti di avventori estasiati. Domanda: ma costoro sanno di che cosa parlano? Hanno un'idea di che cos'è la vera cucina vietnamita? Mah... Questo Viet Bowl fa solo in parte eccezione alla regola, anche per il vasto uso di tofu ad uso e consumo di vegani e vegetariani - ma ben poco degli abitanti locali. Provato per mancanza di alternative appetibili negli immediati dintorni, da poco approdati nella capitale tedesca, si è mostrato un po' meno fusion di altri locali, ma lontano un miglio dagli autentici sapori viet. Passabile, ma non granché di più. Sarebbe meglio un menù con meno piatti ma maggiore autenticità.

¿Hay 29 / 12 / 24 y el restaurante estaba lleno... consiguió un asiento y necesitaba el menú que se adapte a todos los gustos. Opté por Pechugas de Pollo a la parrilla y servidas con un chorrito salado, Semillas de Sésamo y ensalada. Esto lo seguí con una sopa de fideos Udon vietnamita con pollo que era similar a un Tom Yam tailandés. El servicio fue rápido y fácil y el personal muy profesional.

Alles in de buurt was vol en kwamen er toevallig bij uit. Snelle bediening en verder top. Niet superdeftig, echter gewoon goed. 👍🏻

Why is there teriyaki sauce on every dish?? It’s not even Vietnamese. It’s definitely the best I’ve had.

I recently went to this restaurant because my friends saw that it had good reviews on Google. However, after we ate, I double-checked the reviews and found that many of them were fake. There are many new accounts created specifically to make the restaurant look better, or the restaurant owner probably bought reviews to increase popularity. As for the food, the bún (rice noodles) with the sauce was way too sour, and the sauce was already mixed instead of being served separately. The Pho (Vietnamese soup) was also too salty. Also, there were no side dishes such as fresh vegetables, which are usually included with these dishes. The prices were way too high compared to the quality. The drinks were also way too sweet. Another negative point was the service. The staff were very unfriendly and made no attempt to accommodate guests or create a pleasant atmosphere. I'm really not a difficult eater, but I really felt cheated here. I advise everyone to be careful if a restaurant has a lot of fake reviews.

Great restaurant with flair, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Even though it was already pretty full, we got a seat without a reservation. After ordering, the food came to the table quickly and it was very tasty. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Very arrogant staff There were 4 tables occupied in the restaurant, the rest were free There were two of us and we were offered a table either by the toilet or by the cold door. All other tables were unoccupied but “reserved”. We weren't even supposed to sit at the unreserved table for 4 people. Very unfriendly Have left

Courteous and smiling staff, a stone's throw from the Sony Center and Potsdam Platz, has abundant and spectacular dishes (unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the first course but only of the dessert). Open kitchen. Nice music in the background. The flavor of my dish was delicate, the dessert was good although very strong in flavour.

Service was fast and nice. Tho, nothing special. They serve most dishes with teriyaki source which is not Vietnamese (-1 Star). Prices are way too higher for this none-cozy “business” restaurant (-1 Star). Food tastes very good. Adjust some variables and better ratings are coming!

It's something completely different than what you usually get, but absolutely worth the money. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes very good. You don't have to wait long for your order and it's really recommended.

Fantastic food in a cozy atmosphere.

The food was really very tasty. I had a bowl of crispy duck, which was perfectly cooked, pale pink and incredibly juicy. I haven't had something like this for a long time. The service seemed a bit chaotic so the distribution of roles was not entirely clear. Nevertheless, all the waiters were friendly. This was accompanied by the ambience, which certainly exuded charm, but at the same time was cramped and uncomfortable due to benches without cushions or backrests.
