We have known about the restaurant since 2018 and we have to say that it has ALWAYS been delicious since 2018. There are no fluctuations in taste/quality and you always know what you are getting. We have already recommended the restaurant to others, which has left a more than positive impression on many people. Apart from the food, the staff and the ambience are great. I would recommend making a reservation for the weekend as the restaurant is very popular so it can get a little louder. Otherwise, please keep it up!

Very good restaurant! Warm and smiling service, with attention to detail! The food was excellent, for my part I ate a vegetarian curry with tofu and vegetables, the quantity was perfect and the dish very good. I was also able to taste their cocktails, here a Spritz with Cointreau which was also very well managed in terms of nuances. The atmosphere of the restaurant was subdued and rather friendly. Also perfect for a romantic meal.

The restaurant's menu is not recommended for vegetarians. Although there are some dishes designated as vegetarian, none of them are vegetarian. The vegetarian dishes include several Pho dishes. When I asked, the employee told me that the beef pho is cooked for hours. Well, yes. What does this have to do with vegetarian dishes? The employee then went on to say that all dishes listed as vegetarian were cooked with fish sauce. This is also not suitable for vegetarians. That's not possible with the best will in the world. This means that the restaurant does not have a single vegetarian dish on the menu. But that's not what's on the menu, it's clearly stated as vegetarian. My food was ok, but nothing more. Lack of ideas and taste-wise, it's not something I'll try again. And then the next price increase was discussed in front of us as guests. A no-go. The friendly service and the nice ambience were positive. Please revise your card urgently!

Update: Even after 3 years, still great, like on the first day! I even managed to take photos this time - haha. Relatively inconspicuous from the outside but always fully occupied or completely booked. Reservations definitely make sense here. Actually, you can usually judge Vietnamese restaurants by the quality of their traditional Pho soup. For me one of the best in Berlin! But the other dishes are also really recommended. Especially the summer rolls. Service is friendly and accommodating. But the delivery service is also top notch - not something to be despised at the moment! Although I don't know how far they deliver. Our apartment is practically around the corner :)

Fabulous Cozy, authentic, delicious food. But Bao's grandeur has now overwhelmed it: it can be packed at peak times. But the service always remains casual and *very* nice and the food, even if it takes a few minutes longer, is always a delight! There is nothing comparable in the area. Hopefully the Bao will continue for a long time. The employees also take allergies and intolerances seriously and the food can also be prepared gluten-free, for example. Very good! Das Bao ist gegenüber vom Klinikum, so daß es praktisch ist, wenn man dort jemanden besucht oder im Rahmen eines kleinen Spaziergangs etwas essen möchte. Die sommerrollen sind sehr gut und relativ groß, die Dumplings (Teigtaschen) sehr schmackhaft und werden mit einer sehr guten Soße serviert. Die typische Pho ist von sehr guter Qualität und auch diese wird in einer ordentlichen Portion serviert. Das personal ist sehr freundlich, spricht exzellent Deutsch und die Preise sind moderat. Ganz nett wenn man gerade in der Gegend ist.

Delicious. :) I had number 27 (tofu, rice, lemongrass, vegetables and spicy dark sauce). Considering the dish had three chili peppers as a rating, I found it surprisingly edible, but it was already spicy. There were also slices of red chili floating in the sauce. The restaurant is beautifully designed and, in addition to a large indoor area, also has individual small tables on the street. The pickup service was super quick and very nice. :)

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant mit unfassbar leckerem Essen. Sehr gute Preise und sehr guter Service, mehr muss man nicht sagen!

Einfach köstlich. Wir waren am Samstag hier essen, gegen 16Uhr und haben vorab reserviert. Bei der Ankunft, standen auf so gut wie allen Tischen die Reservierungsschilder. Jedoch war das Restaurant während unseres Besuchs von 16-17:30Uhr nur relativ überschaubar besucht. Die Karte ist nicht überladen und es gibt neben vielen Geflügel Gerichten auch Rind oder Garbelen, bzw. meistens auch eine vegetarische Variante. Wir hatten eine Kokoscreme-Suppe (Sup Nuoc Dua) mit reichhaltigem Inhalt, welche von den Vorspeisen mein Highlight war. Die Zutaten haben perfekt gepasst und die Mischung aus süßem Kokos und der Säure der Zitronenblätter war sehr ausgewogen. Hühnchen-Spieße (Ga Sate) mit Erdnusssoße und Sommerrollen (Goi Cuon) mit dieser klaren leckeren Soße, hatten wir auch noch. Beides auch lecker. Für die Hauptspeisen haben wir uns für einen Glasnudelsalat (Goi Mekong) und gelbem Curry (Cari Chay) entschieden. Der Salat war meiner Frau etwas trocken, wir haben nach der klaren vietnamesischen Soße gefragt, welche gleich in einem Schälchen nachgereicht wurde. Ansonsten hat er meiner Frau sehr gut geschmeckt. Mein Curry war auch sehr lecker, es war reichlich Hühnchen drin und geschmacklich sehr gut. Lediglich der Reis, da hatte ich schon besseren gegessen (vielleicht hat etwas Salz gefehlt), aber ich hatte meinen letzten Jasminreis besser in Erinnerung. Rundum aber ein tolles Restaurant, nette Bedienung, saubere Toiletten und vor allem gutes Essen. Gerne wieder.

Wow, das ist die Überschrift unseres heutigen Besuches. Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Bao und sind absolut begeistert. Ein tolles Ambiente, netter und aufmerksamer Service sowie Speisen, die geschmacklich kaum zu überbieten sein werden. Alle von uns (vier Personen) bestellten Vor- und Hauptspeisen wurden sehr schön zubereitet und dargereicht. Die Gerichte waren sehr frisch und geschmacklich hervorragend. Die leckeren Cocktails und die freundlichen Mitarbeiter haben den guten Eindruck abgerundet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und bedanken uns für die schönen Stunden im Bao.

Die Gerichte waren leider zu süß, sogar Pho Bo war deutlich süß. Die Ente war doch trotzdem super!

Wow! Auf jeden Fall einer der besten vietnamesischen Restaurants in Berlin. Die Brühe von dem Pho war sooo lecker, das Entenfleisch bei dem Chili Duck Chef‘s Choice war super zart und die Soße war ein Traum. Hier ist alles super authentisch und liebevoll präsentiert, service mega freundlich und aufmerksam, alles einfach TOP. Gerne komme ich wieder!

Wenn ich in Berlin bin, ist eine vegane Pho bei Bao inzwischen ein muss für mich! Gehe immer wieder gerne hin, das Personal ist sehr freundlich:)

Delicious Vietnamese food near the botanical garden in Berlin! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and with the large, open windows, both spaces flow together seamlessly. Staff are warm, friendly, and attentive. As for the food, it's amazing. Lots of flavor in the broth, with crisp, fresh vegetables. Noodles were well cooked and broke apart easily (no big, stuck-together mass). I love Vietnamese food and this was the best place I found in Berlin.
