We had food delivered - it was very tasty, rich and arrived hot and well packaged - highly recommended! We also found the website very convincing: well structured, clear, everything well illustrated, easy to use. We will definitely order from Vedi's again!

Amazing place! The service is the best! We came here for the 6.50 cocktails and were not disappointed at all. The drinks are better than most places where you pay 15 bucks for a cocktail! After a couple of drinks we got hungry too and the food is amazing as well! I can definitely recommend the Gobi Pakora. We will be coming back!

We had a great time in the restaurant. Environment and service was super fast and super cool. But coming to the main point, we ordered butter chicken and shahi paneer. They served both dishes with same gravy, I mean I got confused whether I am eating butter chicken or shahi paneer. Please change the gravy pattern of shahi paneer that can inhence the taste of shahi paneer Thanks

Great fun catching the euros at Vedis! Germany scored a last minute equalizer against suisse. Food wise, daal soup was quite nice. The chole were ok, would've liked them to be browner, but I can see them appealing to others. Bhatura was ok, puffy but tasted different than I expected. Servers are great

Edit : I'm now not surprised as to why there are so many great reviews for this restaurant as the owner is actively attempting to take down bad reviews via Google, including mine, claiming 'they have not dealt with me in a professional setting'. I previously gave a 5 star review for the service as the waiters were very nice and attentive even if the food was tasteless and not good at all but I'm reducing the service review to 2 stars considering this unjust scheme of removing bad reviews by the manager. Don't recommend this place at all

I ate there for the first time with a friend today. We are excited! The ambience and food were more than good! Choice of vegan and vegetarian food and so good & the cocktails too! Price/performance priceless. Service was also extremely nice and accommodating! Every waiter was extremely nice and friendly. We would be happy to come back even if we drive an hour each way.

Leider ist die Küche nur in Teilen authentisch. Wenn man die indische Küche kennt, merkt man, dass nicht alles so schmeckt, wie es sein sollte. Chicken Tikka und das Butter Naan ist schon ok, allerdings schmeckt das Butter Chicken nur nach Tomatensauce. Das kann man besser machen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt hierüber auf günstigen Cocktails. Daher insgesamt nur 3 Punkte.

Zu Vedis gehe ich, wenn ich mich belohnen will: herrliches Essen, anständige Portionen, effiziente und freundliche Bedienung. Thali ist eine meiner Süchte. Wenn es auf die Musik ankommt, dürfte die Atmosphäre allerdings gerne ein bisschen indischer sein. Es stinkt mir gewaltig, daß unter meiner Abrechnung „Tip not included“ steht. Erstens entspricht dies nicht ganz der Wahrheit. Laut europäischem Gesetz is Bedienung im Preis einbegriffen. Wir sind hier nicht in Amerika. Wenn ein Deutsches Restaurant dem Kassenzettel einen solchen englischen Hinweis hinzufügt, riecht dies nach Touristen-Abzocke. Diesmal hatte der Kellner mich mit einem Kulistrich auch nochmal auf diese Bemerkung aufmerksam machen wollen. Und was hat es auf sich mit "Mwst = VAT"? Grundsätzlich gebe ich immer und überall Trinkgeld, es sei denn, ich bekam einen Überdosis Berliner Schnauze oder mußte das Essen stehen lassen um meine Gesundheit nicht zu gefährden. In einem anderen Leben arbeitete ich selber im Gastgewerbe, und somit bin ich fürs Leben solidarisch. Die Selbstverständlichkeit des Trinkgeldes kann ich mich als Gast genehmigen, die Gaststätte allerdings nicht. Vedi‘s ist nicht das erste Restaurant, wo mir diese Praktik aufgefallen ist und Berlin auch nicht die erste deutsche Stadt. Es ist auch nicht das erste Mal, dass ich dies in einer Bewertung anspreche. Auf Google hat Vedi's meine Bewertung mit einer fadenscheinigen Beschwerde entfernen lassen. Mal sehen ob es dem Restaurant hier auch gelingt. Englischsprachige Bewertung folgt.

Meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans can eat their way through the menu. Each dish showcased exceptional culinary skill and the use of quality ingredients. We ordered: Veggie Thali (19,90€) Chicken Lababdar (15,90€) Rogan Josh (16,90€) Tandoori Chicken (18,50€) Garlic Naan (3,20€) Butter Naan (3,00€) I loved everything we ordered. We ordered chicken biryani, it was too spicy tawa pulaw with chicken. And got a explanation by staff that this is how biryani is everywhere. We also ordered chicken tikka, staff said you will get 4 piece per plate which was again lie. So we had to order two plate and when we got order it was really enough quantity per plate, and definitely not just 4 piece. Taste of chicken tikka was also not great. If you like good tawa pulav, this is great place to get it by the name of biryani.

Update 12.04.2024 Owner filled a complaint with Google due to an alleged fake review to take down the review. Evidence has been submitted that our group has been there on the day in question. Update 25.02.2024 I recently attended a birthday dinner for a friend at Verdis, and frankly, the experience left much to be desired. Right from the start, we were reminded of our limited time at the table, setting an unwelcoming tone that persisted throughout the evening. Despite being a party of six, we felt hurried and pressured to finish our meal quickly. To add insult to injury, when our party finally split, we were guided to another table, further highlighting the unnecessary rush we had endured. It was baffling to see that the party who took our spot only stayed for a drink, making the hurried service even more unjustified. What's worse, we had explicitly mentioned that we were gathering for a birthday celebration, expecting at least a modicum of consideration for the occasion. Unfortunately, it seemed our special event was of little importance to the staff at Verdis. Now, onto the food—disappointing would be an understatement. The flavors were lackluster, a far cry from the exceptional quality I've come to expect from Verdis. And let's talk about the cocktails. While I appreciate a strong drink, these were downright undrinkable, tasting more like pure rum or gin than a well-balanced cocktail. It's as if they forgot the concept of moderation altogether. Overall, Verdis fell short of its reputation. With subpar service and lackluster food and drinks, I can't help but feel let down. Here's hoping they step up their game and return to the standards that once made them a standout choice. Until then, I'll be exploring other dining options. ---------------- Somewhen 2022: 5 stars Friendly staff, as far as I can judge the food is good and tasty. The staff is helpful, and don't forget cocktail happy hour!

Update: Restaurant tried to force me to take down this review by submitting a fake takedown request with Google saying I never dined at this place. Thankfully I had invoice, credit card receipt and a photo to prove that I was there on 27th November 2023. So yes, the service is also very poor given this experience. Don't trust all the 5 star reviews because this place will take down any low ratings. Food is poor in quality and tastes nothing like authentic Indian cuisine. We tried several dishes and everything turned out to be sub par. Also not too good for the price. Ambience is fine.

Attention dangerous owners and employees, they threaten customers and accuse them of lying!!!! My friend wrote a critical review here and the owners are now taking action against it - so they don't want to hear criticism! The food is bad and the service is subpar, vegans are treated poorly here (the staff made fun of us) and no alternatives are offered for lunch. We also wanted to sit outside and the employees said, despite the blankets on the chairs, that the area was closed... Suspicious! We will never come here again and demand a free lunch from Vedi's, vegan & delivered! Vegans in power 🗣️ May this review discourage many more users and foodies from dining in this 🧃 shop! The only positive?! The toilet....

Vedi’s Indian Restaurant in Berlin has more than earned its 5 stars! I celebrated my birthday there and was overwhelmed by the attentiveness of the waiters. Without me having to mention anything, they surprised me with a cake, ice cream and a sparkler - a gesture that really made my day special. The food was exceptionally delicious, full of authentic Indian flavors. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for special occasions or just to enjoy good food. An unforgettable experience that I can highly recommend to everyone!

Service top, ambience too. But unfortunately the food is absolutely mediocre, completely unseasoned and boring and not authentic. Palak Panner tasted like German spinach with paneer cheese. No cumin, no masala nothing. For Germans who have never been to India, it's probably OK, but for me it's one of the worst Indians in Berlin in terms of taste. Service is really top and the food is ready super quickly. Portions are also completely fine.

A good Indian restaurant in Berlin. The samosas very fresh and nicely prepared, the 3 chutneys served with the Samosa were amazing. In the main course we went with palak paneer and dal tadka. The palak paneer was nicely done and have a creamy saag curry. The paneer was tender and good. Dal tadka was good and made less oily as per our request. The tandoori roti and methi tandoori roti both were great and served hot. The staff is friendly and nice to talk to. The vibe of the place is pretty calming and amazing.

I've been there a few times and have always been satisfied. I can particularly highly recommend the business lunch.

Have had pretty bad experiences several times. On the one hand, you are not allowed to choose your seat even though the restaurant is empty. Last time the two of us were there around 4 p.m. Restaurant 90 percent empty. We wanted to sit at a table for four, which wouldn't be so much more with two people. The waiter insisted that we sit at a table for two. Which in my opinion would only be understandable if the restaurant was almost full and a lot of guests were expected. But I think it's wrong. The food took far too long and was already cold. (rice and soup). Since we were unfortunately dissatisfied with the restaurant several times before, we will avoid it from now on.

We were called in advance telling us when we were coming and how long we were staying! Then we arrived, the table for 6 PEOPLE in the kitchen, then we asked for another table. We got it, everything took a very long time, ordering the food, the staff was at times without orientation. What happened to staff? Then very loud...perhaps partition walls should be put up. It's a shame we always felt very full!

Although from the outside there were hardly any seats left and we didn't have a reservation, we were greeted very friendly and shown to a free table. In a beautiful ambience and consistently high but not disturbing background noise, our order was taken immediately and the food was served impressively quickly. Delicious cocktails and good food. I can't judge whether it's authentic or not because I don't know enough about Indian cuisine. Anyway, it tasted good and was obviously made with good and fresh ingredients. Conclusion: great service, good food, nice atmosphere, very good value for money.

It was OK. Food service super quick, paying the bill super slow. Average quality and quantity food, generic Indian food. My Bill: 3 persons, shared starter, 2 cocktails and a coke, main meal = 80€. I personally would not go again, more authentic Indian restaurants in Berlin.

Rather small restaurant (you should definitely make a reservation), very tasty food WITH salad and an extensive cocktail menu. Is it the best Indian restaurant? I can't rate it, but it's definitely way ahead!

We were there for lunch, apart from the fact that only one vegan dish was offered, we were then told that neither the soup nor the bread that came with the menu were vegan and no substitute was offered or any attempt was made to find a suitable solution find. The service was substandard and ignorant, something I have never experienced in any of the many other Indian restaurants here in Berlin. Unfortunately not recommended, the competition is simply too great. Rethink your concept of a vegan lunch menu and simply offer a vegan soup and leave the milk out of the naan bread!

Even though it was very crowded and we were a group with an indefinite number of people, everything was done to accommodate and make the group happy. As a little tip to the waiters: instead of saying the name of the dish, say the dish number when serving. Mango paneer was very tasty and something I had never experienced before.
