This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. I don't come here regularly, though, more often than not. The location is really recommendable in every way... the best thing to do is just come by and see for yourself. On that note: Wishing everyone reading this a healthy and successful 2026...

The food was delicious 😋 We arrived at 9:30 pm and received a very warm welcome. I highly recommend it and look forward to eating at the restaurant again soon.

Maharaja in Adlershof A medium-sized, Indian-themed restaurant with outdoor seating in front of the building. The interior features Indian accessories and softly subdued lighting. There were four of us, and we ordered, among other things, two No. 93 Mixed Grill Platters. Admittedly, this isn't exactly an Indian national dish, but the Indian specialties it contained, as described on the menu, appealed to us because of the different types of meat, and we were curious about how it would be prepared. However, we were immediately told that this dish was rather dry. We ordered it anyway. As a starter, I ordered a red lentil soup, which, as I mentioned when ordering, I would like to share with my wife, since we can no longer eat large quantities. We also wanted to try the soup. A bowl of lentil soup and one spoon arrived. I had secretly hoped for at least a second spoon, but I didn't want to bankrupt anyone. When the main courses arrived, I was surprised to find four tender pieces of meat (tikka) in the typical small bowl, nestled in a smooth, moist sauce. As a crowning touch, there was a scampi, somewhere between small and medium-sized, almost medium-sized. Actually, it wasn't scampi (the Italian plural), it was a single scampi, a scampo. We were at a German-Indian restaurant, not an Italian one. So, everything was in my bowl. Our friend, who had ordered the same thing, looked enviously at my scampi and told the friendly waitress that she hadn't received one. The manager, who then appeared, declared without asking any questions that she had already eaten the scampi and now wanted a second one, which our friend vehemently denied, and which we confirmed. The manager didn't like this at all, especially since, as he told us, he was certain that the chef always put a scampi in the bowl. This happened at a very discreet volume, so the other four guests in the room were aware of it. The way the manager reacted gave me the impression that he was facing certain bankruptcy because of this service. In his infinite kindness, our friend then received her scampi, accompanied by unwhispered remarks. I was happy to have gotten a scampi and refrained from asking any further questions. We will not be visiting this typical Indian restaurant again, as the whole experience will remain in our memories for a long time.

We ate here before going to the cinema. The welcome was very friendly, and the atmosphere was just what you'd expect from an Indian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. We often eat at different Indian restaurants, and this one offered a new flavor. The drinks are also highly recommended; we had mint tea with ginger, beer, and cocktails. We'd gladly come back again.

My husband and I stopped here today on our way to the Casablanca cinema, purely by chance and not planned, but it was all the more pleasant and enjoyable to realize what a fantastic place it is. The atmosphere was super open and friendly from the start, the service was equally great and very open, and the food we ordered was simply delicious. We only ordered cauliflower and chicken pakoras, but they came with three very well-prepared sauces (including very fresh mint), fresh salad, and bhatura bread with lightly rubbed garlic. We also had two cocktails, Tennessee and Bombay Night – the first was quite alcoholic, good for my husband 😊, the second was lighter, but nicely balanced for me as a woman 😃. At the end, we quickly paid at the bar and were given a mango liqueur shot – very nice and friendly. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back :)

A lovely Indian restaurant that stands out for its attentive service. I've rarely been greeted and farewelled so warmly, and any special requests were always accommodated.

Very yummy food, all family both the meat eating part and the vegetarian part were very satisfied. The food was fresh and delicious. I recommend the ice cream a lot, not only it's refreshing and delicious but comes in a small ceramic pot which you can keep!

It's a beautiful Indian restaurant. I went there with a friend. We were greeted very warmly and friendly by the staff. Our order was taken immediately, and the atmosphere is very nice. Typically Indian. The food arrived: I had delicious rice with chicken mango sauce, with bread and delicious garlic on top. It's made with lots of love. I highly recommend everyone try it. 😋🤤🤤 I highly recommend everyone come by.

I promised myself a lot, the staff is really super friendly, but that was it for me, the food had nothing to do with Indian, it reminded me more of packet soup and ready meals or something like that, I'm really sorry that I'm writing this like this, but maybe it was just an exception that our take-away food didn't taste good. And yes, I know what Indian cuisine can taste like, we have Indian friends who can prepare really delicious food. At some point, we will definitely try again with you because something can go wrong. As I said, the people who work there were all great.

Delicious food and friendly service.

We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. It was a nice touch to be offered a menu in English, which made things easier for us. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including some tasty vegan options. Everything was freshly prepared and nicely presented. Service was quick and efficient, although the upselling felt a bit too present at times. Still, we appreciated the kind gesture we received with the bill. All in all, a very pleasant experience — we’d be happy to come back again!

I ordered delicious marinated chicken legs and was very satisfied. Danger. Cash only payment at this time. But it's not a problem, because I'm in favor of preserving cash anyway.

Very tasty Indian restaurant in Adlershof. The menu is huge and includes many well-known dishes as well as unusual ones. The service is very nice and also a bit “spectacular”. Prices great, everything great.

Friendly staff, food is good. Music too loud and shrill singing, unpleasant for my ears. We sat in it. You can also sit outside, which is supposed to be more pleasant, but wasn't possible at 6°C. Is my subjective assessment!

I recently ordered home delivery from them, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food arrived right on time piping hot and absolutely delicious. They paid close attention to my request for a Pakistani style preparation, and they delivered it to perfection. Every bite was exactly what I had hoped for! To top it all off, their gulaab jamun was the perfect sweet treat

We have been visiting this Indian man again and again for years. It's always super delicious. The condition and service is super nice and attentive. The food is always super delicious. The atmosphere is typically Indian and cozy. Can only recommend the food, whether delivered or on site.

Dear Maharaja India team, I would like to share my disappointing experience with my last order from your restaurant. Unfortunately, I have to address a few points that greatly affected my satisfaction: 1. Delayed delivery: Despite a stated delivery time of 45 minutes, it ultimately took 90 minutes for the order to arrive. The long wait was extremely unpleasant and disappointing. 2. Lack of quality of the chicken korma: We love chicken korma and were very disappointed with the quality of the dish, both in terms of taste and the amount of chicken meat. What we received was not satisfactory. 3. Customer service and chef's response: When I expressed my dissatisfaction over the phone, I was told that the chef had been cooking this way for 20 years and that the quality was normal. This does not meet my expectations and what I expect from an Indian restaurant. 4. Insufficient quantity and quality of ingredients: According to the chef, only 4 pieces of chicken and 4 pieces of cream cheese were added to the dish, which is disproportionate to the price of €14.90. 5. Inappropriate behavior when making special requests: When we asked for extra rice, the supplier only gave us a small packet of rice with the comment that it was on the house. This is not an appropriate solution given the other problems. I am very sorry that my experience with your food delivery was so disappointing and I hope that you will consider these points to improve your quality and customer satisfaction.

Location, food are okay. Service is careless: small signals are noticeable that the guest is not necessarily the focus (candle on the table not lit for a long time, unlike usual with Indians, no welcome snack, you have to buy papadum, beer not completely full...)

We only ordered something to take away and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. But then he became very annoying. We had ordered chicken madras and chicken vindalou and naan. The food was okay, but the salad was pretty inedible. Next time I would like a fresh salad.

A wonderful experience! The food was delicious, authentic and perfectly seasoned. We would particularly like to emphasize the warm hospitality - we were there with our child and received an incredibly friendly welcome. Even the little ones were lovingly cared for. Absolutely recommended for families!

Highly unprofessional. After ordering the food , I had to wait for 20 minutes for starters and then another 30 minutes for the main course. I'm not sure whether I was the last person for the day or not. the food was terrible. Naan doesn't look freshly prepared. Overall, my experience was terrible. I visited some other indian restaurant yesterday, which was really good.

We ordered six months ago and everything was great. Now there were two (different!) hairs in the rice and the main courses all tasted pretty similar, even though they were different dishes.

This is one of the best restaurants in this area! The service, food, and atmosphere is top tier. You are greeted as if you are a part of their family! I have been here at least 5 times over and I have nothing but positive things to say! If you are looking for something spicy to eat order the Lamm chili or the chicken chili! Don’t forget to have their super soft and buttery butter Naan! After having a hearty meal, relax and enjoy a delicious mango shot (usually on the house)! Top teir restaurant for sure!

Incredible mittag menu meals , super affordable prices, amazing taste, and very friendly staff.

We ordered twice (via Lieferando) from this restaurant and the food and delivery service have never let us down! The delivery has always been fast, never more tha than half an hour of time, food is always hot when it arrives home. Their vegetarian thali was the first order of my husband and he loved it! Today we ordered for a second time and both daal makhani and the paneer dish were up to our expectations. We want to visit their restaurant in person soon!

We ordered our food via Lieferando. The specified time would be adhered to. Unfortunately the food was almost cold. The two soups were OK. My meal came with spicy sauce...that would have been nice...unfortunately the food was hardly seasoned. All in all very sobering.

Oh well. The butter chicken tasted mostly like sugar. The chicken in it had a slippery consistency. The rice was okay. The naan was also quite ok. But I definitely wouldn't order there again.

Indian restaurants in Berlin are a dime a dozen and the quality varies! We would classify this restaurant in the lower category. We found the ambience almost poor, the service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was only 25% occupied by guests. We found the food to be mediocre to bad and the prices in proportion to the service and the quality of the food were a disgrace! It's an absolute mystery to us how the positive reviews come about here, the demands seem to be very far apart for what you can expect for your money. So absolutely no recommendation, what a shame!

The first order through Lieferando was really good, which encouraged us to order here again. We were hoping to have found our new “standard Indian” here that delivers delicious food. Today I ordered separately based on the menu and was absolutely disappointed. The food today was clearly 1 star. It was at most lukewarm, completely tasteless (which is really an art with chicken korma) and the chicken meat wasn't completely cooked, which is really dangerous. Unfortunately, never again. I have now thrown away the menu card. A pity.

Very disappointed. Food received after 1 ¹/² hours. The potatoes were hard and the cauliflower was very firm to the bite. Too hard for my granddaughter. Haven't been able to convert the court into a children's court. Never again.

We (2) just wanted to go for a drink. The drinks are good value for money. But I would advise against ice cream. Since there were 3 ice cream balls in the pictures but only one came, we were disappointed, especially for the price of €5.50.

Very tasty food, pretty spicy 😋 for spicy lovers. Relatively quick, uncomplicated delivery. The sauces could use a refresh. Everything OK.

We recently ordered there, a grill platter, butter chicken and panier korma. Delivery was quite quick! The food was indescribably delicious! I can't remember the last time we had such a delicious meal. Today I was there briefly and bought some mango soup: mmmmh! It tastes absolutely delicious!
