Good well prepared Indian food using authentic Indian spices. We ordered Amma Mixed Grill and Amma Thali and Lassi. Specially Grill was very made well and served on sizzler plate, good presentation. We liked it and it was super tasty and delicious, it also had good portion and varieties of non veg , came with rice and Salad. Rare to find such nicely made grill with very authentic Indian spices and perfect Indian cooking. Thali had three curry dishes , with Bhatura , salad and Rice. Bhatura was very tasty , salad was resfreshing. Curries were nice, but green curry definitely needs improvement , could bit better. Overall Food was tasty with good portions. Restaurant Interior is good, well thought design and decoration. Location is perfect , next to Feuerbachstraße sbahn , 6 min walk from U9 Walter Schreiber Platz and bus stand . Very big and specious restaurant , good place to organise get-together and parties, well managed facility, good service , staff is very courteous. We will go again. Very much recommend!!!!

Review from today at approximately 8:00 PM ⭐ Detailed warning – especially for people with diabetes & pre-existing conditions I am writing this review not out of spite, but out of deep disappointment, genuine health concerns, and a sense of responsibility towards other guests, especially people with diabetes, metabolic disorders, or other health conditions. I ordered a "fresh ginger tea" at this restaurant – exactly as it was listed on the drinks menu. 👉 There was absolutely no mention of honey, sugar, or any sweetener on the menu. 👉 The waitstaff also gave me no indication that the tea was sweetened. Only after I had already drunk the tea did I discover that it had been prepared with honey. This may sound harmless to many – but it is not to me. I have type 1 diabetes. This means: ➡️ Unannounced sugar is not a matter of taste for me, but an acute health hazard. Shortly after consuming the substance, I experienced a clearly measurable case of hyperglycemia (significantly elevated blood sugar), which is also documented. This is not a "feeling" or something I imagined, but a medically measurable condition. In addition, my physical condition deteriorated to such an extent that I was no longer able to travel home by public transport as planned and was forced to take a taxi. ... Especially important: ✅ The tea was properly billed through the cash register ("Fresh Ginger Tea") ✅ It was clearly a regularly sold product ✅ No free extra, no special request, no interpretation That's precisely why I find it absolutely incomprehensible that: • Ingredients are not clearly declared • No indication is given for sweeteners • Honey is simply used in a beverage that is generally considered unsweetened, without any transparency This isn't about taste, this isn't about culinary matters, this isn't about personal sensitivities – 👉 this is about health, safety, and responsibility. What also disappoints me: There was no proactive explanation, no inquiry about intolerances, no sensitive handling of the situation, but rather the realization afterward that I had unintentionally consumed sugar. I expect the following from a restaurant: • ✅ Clear and honest ingredient information • ✅ Transparency regarding sweeteners • ✅ Responsibility towards guests with pre-existing medical conditions • ✅ Making health-relevant ingredients clear and transparent This incident could easily have been avoided – with: • A simple note • Clear labeling • Or a quick question when being served Instead, I experienced: • Health consequences • Additional stress • Additional costs • And the feeling of not being taken seriously I have since reported the incident to the relevant authorities so that they can investigate whether everything is being handled correctly. I'm not doing this out of revenge, but so that this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future – especially not to people for whom sugar can be medically dangerous. ⚠️ My conclusion: If you're healthy, you might not notice anything. Anyone with diabetes, a metabolic disorder, or other relevant pre-existing conditions should inquire very carefully about the actual ingredients in the drink – because unfortunately, you can't rely solely on the menu in this regard. I sincerely hope that this incident is taken seriously internally and leads to clear improvements in labeling and communication. Only in this way can trust be built – and in my case, unfortunately, it has been lost.

It's okay. Maybe a bit too expensive for what you get. But that's rather subjective, so you should see for yourself.

Excellent food and great value for money.

I discovered this restaurant by chance near the S-Bahn station, tried the Chicken Bangalori one early afternoon, and was absolutely delighted. The tomato-based lentil soup served as a starter was truly delicious, as was the chicken dish. My expectations for daily specials aren't usually high. The portions are a bit smaller than those from the à la carte menu, but they're perfectly adequate: filling without making you feel overeaten. The only thing that could be improved is the (barely noticeable) level of spiciness. Excellent food for a reasonable price, with a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Terrible food. They serve under cooked food especially vegetables. Chicken biriyani is biriyani with minimal chicken and maximum vegetables, felt almost like they added chicken to vegetable biriyani. Not a recommended place if you are looking for authentic Indian food.

Zufällig gefunden, bei meinem Berlin Nostalgie Trip. Sehr gutes Chicken Tikka, und absolut preiswert. Würde ich jederzeit wieder hingehen.

The restaurant needs to improve on several things if it wants to remain attractive to the customers. First, the service needs to be more customer friendly. The role of the server is to serve: be attentive, wanting to fulfill the needs of the customer, to show kindness and friendliness. In here, the server unfortunately shows displeasure and annoyance when a customer expresses an additional wish. Second, the food is not well seasoned. The taste is very bland. I've never eaten Indian food that had no taste. Even the red sauce had zero spice, it tasted like watered down ketchup! What is wrong? Even in this part of the world people like to eat food that has some taste. The portions are big, and I was able to take half of my dish home. It tasted way better on the next day, once I was able to add spices at home!

As always, it was very good. Great service and the food was top. We will be back. It's great what you've done to the economy

We ordered lunch plate for two. The chicken was good, the lamb was too dry to my taste. But they have good price/quantity ratio

We ordered vegetarian dishes and butter naan. Quantity was good, but taste was not even to close Indian taste. Butter naan were not made properly. We could taste raw maida. Chef didn't know how to make naan.

Friendly service, nice restaurant. However, I have never paid so much money for such bad Indian food. The red sauce was reminiscent of tomato sauce Napoli, only the rice was good. The high prices are probably due to the Steglitz-Zehlendorf location. But then you expect more than dried-out meat. There are many good restaurants with Indian specialties in Berlin. Unfortunately, Amma is not one of them.

I've only been here once to order takeaway food. It was delicious, 4 stars for that. The service deserves zero stars! First of all, I had to wait forever until someone felt compelled to watch football and serve me. Arrogant, unfriendly and wanted a tip... for take-away. Totally clear. The change was thrown on the table like a pleasure lady in 18th century London. No please, no thank you and no nice evening yet. I don't have high expectations, but the absolute minimum level of politeness when dealing with customers is a MUST!!! As I said, the food was delicious, but I think the pricing was way over the top. Now 15 euros for a normal portion of sauce with a few pieces of chicken plus some rice... well, everyone has to decide for themselves.

The food was good. Especially the little appetizer you receive before your meal. I really loved it. I had the Lunch menu. Service could be better. The restaurant wasn’t busy but the service was slow. If you like Indian food, it’s worth a try!

So far as i have experienced is that the service is really bad and i dont like the way the waiters dont know how to treat a customer especially There is a girl she don’t know. How to treat the coustmer worst experience in my life not worth it and not recommended

A delicious Indian dish, the dishes are portioned quite large and well seasoned. We like to take food home with us from time to time. But you can also sit very well inside and outside in the restaurant. Very nice staff!

We have been going to Amma in Tempelhof for years, so we were expecting a lovely evening here. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was empty. In addition to us as a slightly larger group, there were only two other couples in the restaurant - on a Saturday evening. Food and drinks were forgotten and in the end you had to pay for more drinks than were consumed. Apparently 3 cocktails were booked twice in the system and they insisted that they be paid for. The tone became harsher and at some point we no longer felt like discussing things. The behavior of the staff was very regrettable. That was our last visit to this Amma.

The food was okay, but I've had better Indian food in Berlin. A very large restaurant, you can go there without a reservation.

Asked for the spiciest Chicken Vindaloo they could make, and they did not disappoint. It was truly spicy, the Indian-way and very tasty. This is definitely a must try here if you are in any one of their 4 branches across Berlin.

Kenne die Kette von Lichtenrade und Tempelhofer Damm. War in der Mittagspause hier. Kleinigkeit Frühlingsrollen waren alt und trocken!! Hatte aber Hunger und aß sie. Salat war okay. Habe es der Bedienung mitgeteilt scheint aber nicht so wichtig zu sein dass der Kunde zufrieden ist. Sehr Schade werde dort nicht mehr hingehen, obwohl ich in der Nähe arbeite

Wir waren mittags da. Das Angebot zum Mittagstisch (mit Suppe) war gut, und es schmeckte sehr gut. Die Preise variieren von 7, 50 Euro bis 9,00 Euro. Der Service war schnell und gut. Komme gerne wieder.

Die Bedingung war sehr nett und aufmerksam, auch das Essen kam sehr schnell, was auch praktisch ist um die während seiner Pause essen zu gehen.

Die Mitarbeiter sind super sympathisch und die Geburtstagsfeier bei dieser Location war super gelungen.

Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich. Das Palak Paneer ist das beste Essen, das ich jemals gegessen habe. Alle 4 Personen, meiner Gruppe, haben komplett aufgegessen und waren mit ihren Gerichten aufs Vollste zufrieden. Das Lokal ist außerdem sehr sauber. Die Toiletten sind makellos. Einfach toll.

Das Essen war so ungenießbar, die Soße schmeckte nach Tomatensoße mit Basilikum und der Salat war alles aber nicht frisch, die Gurken vertrocknet, die Tomate verschrumpelt und die Salatblätter trocken und pappig. Die Suppe hat nach Tütensuppe geschmeckt.. das Hähnchen vom „Butter Chicken“ war alt und vertrocknet … Ich war überhaupt nicht zu Frieden.. aber das Personal war recht nett, trotzdem wurde uns das ganze Essen in Rechnung gestellt obwohl ich nicht mal aufgegessen habe, da es einfach nur eklig geschmeckt hat .. sehr sehr schade ..

Habe dort Mal was zum Abholen bestellt. Das Essen war reichlich und schmackhaft, aber nicht überragend, dafür war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Mittlerweile leider teurer geworden.

Neue Bewirtschaftung? Keiner spricht halbwegs deutsch, bis auf einem. War jahrelang gut - das wars.

Ich war vor Jahren mal im Amma essen und hatte es ganz gut in Erinnerung aber der Besuch heute war für mich und meine Freundin leider nicht so schön. Die Kommunikation mit dem Service lässt echt zu wünschen übrig, hatte das Gefühl die haben einen nicht verstanden. Es wurde erst beim zweiten Mal fragen, Honig gebracht, ein Getränk wurde komplett vergessen, die Tee's wurden in sehr kleinen Gläsern serviert, mein Essen hat mir gar nicht geschmeckt, viel zu trocken, genau wie das Batura Brot allerdings das essen meiner Freundin hat ihr geschmeckt. Leider wurde in den ganzen 2 Stunden nicht erneut gefragt ob wir noch etwas trinken wollen?! Ich bin eigentlich niemand der sich schnell beschwert aber das heute war etwas zuviel des Guten.

Wir essen regelmäßig im Amma. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Es ist sehr angenhm dort zu sein.

Schwer zu bewerten, da sich Sonne und Schatten abwechseln. Das entscheidende Kriterium anstatt 4 Sterne nur 3 zu vergeben, ist die mangelnde Auswahl (habe nur 2 gefunden) an Singapore Speisen, obwohl damit geworben wird. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und serviert professionell. Negativ ist allerdings die Konzentration zu vermerken. So wurde die Vorspeise erst serviert, nachdem bereits der Hauptgang am Tisch stand. Dafür wurde der abschließende Kaffee völlig vergessen. Allerdings war die Hauptsache -der Geschmack der Gerichte- ausgezeichnet. Weder an den Beilagen noch an Fisch und Fleisch gab es einen Kritikpunkt. Mal sehen ob ich nach meinem nächsten Besuch eine Korrektur an diesem Bericht vornehmen muss.

Großes Restaurant mit dem typischen Flair. Das Personal und der Service sind gut. Die Speisen normal. Das Naan Brot war sehr trocken. Die vegetarischen Kartoffelrollen waren Bällchen und merklich mit Brühpulver angemixt.

Chicken tikka - 2/5 it was too salty and oily. Overall price is expensive. Punjabi Mirchi- 4/5, Good taste would recommend. Service- was quick. Atmosphere- cool with some indian songs.

We celebrated our daughter's second birthday here. The food was great. Fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and a generally restaurant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I was here with my wife for a birthday dinner. We ordered lassies, a soup, mixed grill and a biriani. The food was delicious and got s expected in indian style. Service was really nice. Staff was really nice to us and asked our needs and served. We booked a table on their website before we went there, but it was not needed as they have many tables and space in their restaurant.

Food was good, the service was good but bit slow, ambience is okay. We felt like it's bit expensive in comparison to other indisch restaurants in Berlin. Plus they do not offer any happy hour cocktails or corporate menu for off peak hours.

The taste of the food was acceptable (just a rice with some cooked veggies), nothing more, but the feeling in my stomach after a couple of hours was totally not acceptable. There was definitely something not fresh or badly prepared. The service in the place is... Well, the best is to say that there is a service, so you don't have to bring the meal from the kitchen by yourself, but that's all.

Der Service war leider nicht so wie ich ihn gewohnt war. Das Essen war kalt und musste nochmal in die Küche. Schade denn sonst waren wir immer sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und Service.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut, aber die Bedienung ne Katastrophe. Langsam, oft das falsche, wenn die Getränke leer sind muss man quasi von selbst auf die Suche nach einer Bedienung gehen. Als wir bezahlen wollten, mussten wir den Kellner nach 10 Minuten nochmal an unseren Zahlungswunsch erinnern. Er hatte es vergessen. Nicht weil viel los war. Mit uns glaube noch 2-3 andere Tische besetzt, der Rest leer.

Seit vielen Jahren gute Qualität und tolles Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis...und auch mal Gerichte, die man nicht bei jedem anderen indischen Restaurant findet. Sehr nettes Personal...
