Very tasty, attentive boss, good value for money

Oh my God! I love this place! I wanted to eat something with metaxa sauce and ordered a baked dish. It was so delicious but it didn't have enough sauce so I asked and the server was so nice and brought me an extra serving of sauce. I had it to my hearts desire! It was so rich and creamy! Plus we got 3 shots of ouzo! 😃😃 My new favorite place for Greek comfort food! 👍🏼👍🏼

Two signs indicating new management hang in the window. And right next to the door, a man was sitting outside, seemed uninvolved, but was having familiar-looking conversations with the innkeeper. A watchdog? The actual owner? Rather irritating and demotivating. The food was average and the general conditions do not match the high rating.

I chose the restaurant because of the recessions. The food and service was ok. There is nothing bad to write about. But nothing exceptionally good either. That's why I have ⭐️⭐️⭐️

My favorite dish here was "Paidakia." The taste was a bit smoky and unique—I really liked it! The other dishes were good, but not particularly special. We also received a complimentary dessert plate because one of our dishes was served late. It was really delicious!

We didn't eat here, that failed because of the unprecedented welcome: We came by on Monday around 5:30 p.m. (so there wasn't much going on) and wanted to sit outside (2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby) in a free and not yet cleared 4-seater Sit down at the table because we need 3 seats and a space next to it for the stroller (oh wonder, we want to put our baby next to us). The employee (?) sitting next to him said yes, the waiter who came out had a different opinion. Without further ado he told us no, we should sit at a table for two, there were only two of us and that would otherwise be the last table for four outside (so it wasn't due to a reservation). The waiter didn't let himself be dissuaded and pointedly placed the children's chair at the table for two where it would be very tight for three, especially with one child. It was so absurd that the very nice guests at the next table (two people at a table of four...) even offered to change. We decided to leave, anyone who treats their guests like that from the start apparently doesn't need them. The best thing was actually that 40 minutes later when we walked past the restaurant again, 2 guests (and really only 2) were allowed to sit at the table in question.

New name: TAVERNAKI New management. The food was very tasty and the new host was super friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back.

It's the best restaurant that I've ever been to, I dream about going there again another time. The gyros were amazing, the waiter was very pleasant and even took pictures of us! ευχαριστώ

Where does the high rating come from? We were looking for a Greek restaurant near Ku'damm with a high rating. Our choice fell on Vareladiko with a rating of 4.9 points at the time. From my personal experience, this restaurant definitely doesn't deserve this high rating. The nice waiter comes close with 4 points. He can also take his time, as only 3 tables of around 10-15 are occupied in the evening at main meal time. For me the explanation lies in the performance of the kitchen. The gyros dish offered is the gyros meat drowned in the cream sauce, taste - fatty. The standard fries mark the tasty highlight of this dish. The side salad consists of iceberg lettuce leaves that are unevenly plucked and mostly too large and generously covered with convenience sauce. Cola and white beer - good.

One of the best Greek restaurants I've been to. Amazing food, great service, unmatched value for money in Berlin. 100% worth it.

We ordered food, the food was cold and the wrong food arrived. Although we contacted the restaurant immediately, they only said they didn't have time to deliver the correct order to us. Very disappointing for an order over €60. Not again!

I ordered chicken with baked potatoes, tzatziki and grilled peppers through Lieferando. I was called because the pepperoni had probably run out and asked if I would like something else. Since I obviously didn't have the menu in mind, I decided against it. An alternative suggestion would have been nice, but it wasn't a big deal. Instead of baked potatoes I got 3 small pieces of potato in a red sauce, it didn't taste bad, but it wasn't what I expected, which was a shame. The Metaxa sauce wasn't really my thing, but the chicken was good. Tzatziki and the bread were very tasty. I was really looking forward to the meal, but overall it was a pretty disappointing experience. I don't know whether I'll get back the money I paid too much for the pepperoni.

A very nice restaurant. A Greek restaurant with a winery flair which I really liked. There were four of us and we got a nice seat. We had different starters. The one tzatziki, here there was a small bowl without bread, which we didn't like. But we didn't react either; we should have asked for it. We had beetroot with garlic even without bread. But since there was bread with olive oil on the side, everyone used their fourth for their starter. Everyone's main course was sufficient and tasty.

The food is very good and, in my experience, very authentic Greek cuisine. The portions are really big and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly, attentive and quick. The atmosphere is cozy. I always enjoy coming here. For me, it's currently the best Greek in Berlin or Charlottenburg/Wilmersdorf.

This is the third time we have been here and we can only confirm the good reviews! Food is always great, we've had the appetizer platter and the mix platter several times now, both highly recommended and always way too much :) The only small drawback for us is that we had problems with card payment today and last time too, with a total of 7 There were only error messages on credit cards and it didn't work with my cell phone either. So today I actually had to go and get cash. So as a tip: pack cash.

Until December 23, very good. However, there is only a welcome ouzo. In February 24 everything was different. Service bad, but friendly. Some of the food was cold or was completely forgotten. Starter platter had probably been in the kitchen for a long time. Extra Taramar salad was much fresher. Starter plate not very tasty. It's all a shame, I'll try it again soon. Hope dies last.

Cozy Greek. Courteous service and delicious dishes. I particularly liked the meat, which was well prepared but not dry. Good selection of different dishes. We had a very nice evening here.

Was very pleasantly surprised to discover this place. Delicious Greek food in a nice and cosy atmosphere. The staff were the opposite of the normal German service style that you could expect in Berlin. Very friendly and went above and beyond for any request. We also got free bread and two shots of Ouzo! It is more on the expensive side but the portions and quality makes up for that.

Nice little place. Very nice, considerate staff. Food... very large portions. Appetizingly prepared. Unfortunately, apart from rosemary, the spices were missing. It's a shame. Price is upscale. Wouldn't go there again, there are too many Greeks for that.

Very pleasant atmosphere, very friendly and attentive. My companion found it very tasty, my bifteki was good, but a bit too cumin for my standards. But all in all a very good Greek restaurant.

Pre-ordering is mandatory but otherwise a nice little rustic restaurant where the price is still right with generous portions. I had a grill plate and couldn't finish it. What I didn't like was that the music was too loud. After a few ouzo you just sing along. 😉I would love to go there again and recommend it to others.🤤

Dieses Restaurant ist, nun nach einem Jahr Bestehen, stiller Sieger im Kiez. Wir alle gehen regelmässig hin! Pascali, Küchenchef, kann es einfach. Immer hervorragendes Essen. Leonida und Janis, vom Service , sind an Liebenswürdigkeit nicht zu überbieten und kreieren eine familiäre Wohlfühlathmosphäre. Man geht satt und glücklich nach Hause. Der Kiez hat, ohne Übertreibung, einen kulinarischen Sonnenplatz bekommen. Freude, Chapeau. Glückwunsch!

Das Essen war supergut. Ich hatte einen Grillteller. Das Fleisch war saftig und nicht trocken. Die Portion hätte für 2 gereicht. Der Preis war angemessen. Die beiden Kellner haben sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Der Laden ist eine klare Empfehlung. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in dem Restaurant. Wir können es wirklich zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Wir feierten einen Geburtstag und das Personal war super zuvorkommend, freundlich, aufmerksam. Das Essen sehr lecker. Wir hatten unter anderem die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte, super lecker. Preis- Leistung absolut top. Ambiente klasse, sehr hübsch eingerichtet.

Ich war das erste Mal hier und habe meinen Geburtstag gefeiert. An Freundlichkeit, Qualität und Ambiente nicht zu überbieten. Definitiv der beste Grieche bei dem ich je war und einer der besten Restaurant Erfahrungen meinerseits. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Die Speisekarte beeindruckt mit frischen Zutaten und traditionellen Gerichten, die geschmacklich überzeugen. Von köstlichen Gyros bis hin zu den perfekten Calamaris. Die Portionen sind großzügig, und die Präsentation ist ansprechend. Ein Ort, der nicht nur Gaumen, sondern auch die Sinne verwöhnt.

Vermutlich beste Taverne in der Stadt. Frisch, lecker, ordentliche Portionen. Gern wieder.

I went there last week with my boyfriend. It was his first time and my second. We can say that it's our favorite restaurant in Berlin. The dishes are delicious, the portions are well served and we were treated very well. We were given aniseed shots, delicious breads as snacks, and the waiter is so friendly that it's impossible not to feel at ease there. The candles give it such a romantic atmosphere for couples. We'll definitely go back when we're in Berlin again.

Delicious food, definitely the best Greek I have had in Berlin. The service was excellent, friendly and genuinely cared. The prices were really reasonable especially for the quality of the place. Lovely decor that was homely and cosy but still done to a really high quality.

Leuke kleine taverne. Twee zeer vriendelijke obers die erg hun best doen. Vlotte bediening. Heerlijk gegeten, eten was smakelijk en meer dan genoeg. Een echte aanrader voor een vriendelijke prijs.

La comida es súper rica, los meseros son súper amables y en general todo me gusto recomiendo mucho el plato de carne asada ☺️

Wir gehen regelmäßig dorthin. Die Eigentümer sind super freundlich und das Restaurant ist klein aber fein. Preise absolut durchschnittlich, aber das Essen ist stabil gut. Wer richtig viel Knoblauch mag kommt auf seine Kosten. Reservierung zwingend erforderlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Was für eine Entdeckung! Erst der unwahrscheinlich liebenswürdige Betreiber, und dann das Essen: SAGENHAFT GUT!

Es ist ein sehr sehr angenehmes Lokal. Innen zwar eine etwas gewöhnungsbedürftige Sitzanordnung, aber das ändert nichts an allem anderen. Und alles andere ist in jeder Hinsicht großartig!

Im Nachfolgelokal von "Angeliki" stimmt alles! Angefangen beim unfassbar freundlichen Betreiber bis eben hin zur Hauptsache, dem Essen... Liebevoll, gekonnt, qualitativ hochwertig und vor allem: sehr sehr lecker! Ich habe einen neuen "Stamm-Griechen" :-)
