Rises Delicacies in Berlin

When paying, only the amount was stated without us being given a receipt. When we asked, we were not given a receipt, but only an interim receipt. Parts of the dishes such as the bread with the salad and the fruit in the yoghurt were not served, and things that were not ordered were also served and billed for. Portions were tiny.

Wonderful little hidden spot for Greek food and Greek deli pick-ups. Meatballs, aubergine, olives and salad all were amazing. Delicious, spot on flavour. Wine selection also incredibly solid and goes well with the food. Worth a visit any time.

*update*: still Berlin’s best restaurant. We could complain for eternity how Berlin has gotten too expensive, it’s true. So why not spend the money on real food of high quality? This is indeed rare to find in Berlin at any price point, and Rises Delicacies offers it for a reasonable price, all things considered. Moussaka, tzatziki, spanakopita, natural wine, tsipouro. The food was strikingly fresh, the flavors were delicate and nuanced, the wine and spirits excellent, and tap water is free and plentiful. What more could you ask from a restaurant?? I feel so rejuvenated after eating at Rises Delicacies that I think I may have added a decade to my life. Imbibe yourself in the fountain of vitality, eat at Rises Delicacies!

The place is beautiful I ordered the Moussaka and it was absolutely perfect The decorations and lighting is simply perfect and cozy The service was friendly and professional in 4 languages available (German, English, Spanish and Greek ) for what I heard. Really recommend and will come back

Last Saturday evening we tried the restaurant spontaneously and without a reservation and the four of us got a seat. The service was quick and courteous. Not all dishes from the small but very fine menu were available, but that is completely understandable considering we arrived in PBerg 1.5 hours before closing time and a sunny and busy day. The dips recommended to us as a starter and the subsequent main courses were excellent! Combined with the pleasant, informal atmosphere in the restaurant, it was an all-round good experience. We will definitely come back soon!

🔝, excellent, a stone's throw from the Rosenthaler U-Bahn station, this small and welcoming Greek restaurant offers authentic, quality food, accompanied by excellent wine. We took few photos but everything was great, from the grilled cheese, the Musak and the chicken. I advise you to book, don't make the same mistake as us. Long live good food 🇬🇷💘.

Die übersichtliche Karte bietet einige sehr schmackhafte Vorspeisen. Als Hautgerichte werden nur 2 gekochte Speisen angeboten, also keine Fleischspeisen vom Grill. Die Portionsgröße ist übersichtlich, dafür der Preis anspruchsvoll. Die Fleischklößchen waren sehr gut zubereitet, das Huhn leider zerkocht. Das Getränkeangebot ist von hoher Qualität. Die Einrichtung ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Soll griechisch-modern sein. Für uns war es ein wildes Durcheinander. Fazit: das Restaurant wird überbewertet, ich kann es nicht empfehlen

Super nice little Greek restaurant - completely different from all the other Greek restaurants in Germany that I had visited before. Here you can put aside all prejudices against food that is too fatty or too meaty - here you will be happy even as a vegetarian, the food is authentic, freshly homemade and very good, fair prices, the service is very friendly and uncomplicated, the furnishings are tasteful, not tacky, relaxed atmosphere. Good wines and homemade lemonade. At the same time, the restaurant is a delicatessen shop, so you can take a few good things in a glass with you after your meal :-) There's currently scaffolding in front of it, but you can still sit outside on the street, there's no more construction in the evenings, so it's not loud.

Overall good meal. Had options to accommodate gluten allergy, and everyone enjoyed their food. Menu is a bit short so this is a nice authentic meal for those not seeking a chain Greek restaurant meal.

Went to the restaurant today and ate grandma's meatballs. We only had to wait a short time and the food was delicious, but in my opinion it could have been a slightly larger portion to fill us up. It's a nice shop with good service.

Be careful of the main guy. He adds €0.5 extra to each dish, charges €7 when the cost in the menu is €6.5. We realized too late we were overcharged by a few euros so make sure to double check. Same reason will mot go here again

The Grandmas Meatballs were very delicious. The service was very slow and we waited 30 minutes, but that doesn't matter, it was worth the wait.

Overall a great place to get real Greek food. I'm Greek and I can tell you that everything smelt like my mom's kitchen. Service was amazing, the waiter was very helpful with everything and really friendly. Minor complaint would be the music, which was Italian hahahah, but other than that it's a palace where you can find original traditional Greek food 10/10 would recommend

I used to come very often. Now they make the bread on extra, it’s not included in the salad anymore, you have to pay for it. The waiter (the son, not the mom that is really kind) is antipathic and not really respectful. I used to come, I won’t anymore…

The service was super nice and attentive. However, I don't know what ingredients were used for our meal, it had nothing to do with delicatessen and selected products. The noodles were overcooked and the dishes were almost inedible because they were completely over-seasoned.

Family-like restaurant. My second time here and it didn’t disappoint. The food is as amazing as the service and you might learn so greek at the same time! Good portion, lovely wine selection and all served which a cheeky smile. The homemade bread runs the show 😍 Went with friends on a Saturday night, even when the room is full, you can still hear the lovely curated playlist and hear your conversation. Wish I knew the waiter’s name so I can give him a shoutout, he was adorable with everyone!

What a wonderful shop. A very polite, great service. The atmosphere in the shop is cozy and cozy, perhaps a little underheated as it was quite cool. The food is next level. Personally, the portions were too small for me. In this price range it can be a little more. Nevertheless, it was the best moussaka and meatballs I have ever eaten at a Greek restaurant. Five of us were there yesterday and had a really great evening. You immediately notice that you can eat authentically Greek here. The service was very warm and gave us good advice. The food was really tasty and we filled ourselves up well. Definitely coming back!

Exceptionally nice service, very good, freshly prepared food. The moussaka and grandma's meatballs were great! All in all, you can see the attention to detail. It's not too loud and you have enough space to have a conversation without being disturbed. We had a very nice and culinary high-quality evening!

The service was a bit slow unfortunately, and prices are quite high when you look at portion sizes. The bread portion given with appetizers was too small, and when we asked for more we were only given a very small amount... That being said, we had a great dinner experience nonetheless.

Hittade denna restaurang av en slump när vi ledare efter en annan restaurang i närheten. Miljön såg trevlig ut och dofterna från restaurangen var underbara. Vi fick bord och beställde olika rätter som vi snabbt blev serverade. Allt var väldigt gott och avsmakat! Bland det bästa grekiska vi någonsin ätit. Utmärkt service och god mat! Rekommenderar verkligen ett besök här.

Das Essen in diesem griechischen Restaurant schmeckt sehr gut, ist allerdings für die Portionsgrößen etwas überteuert. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und unterhaltsam. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön gestaltet, sehr authentisch. Man kann dort auch griechische Spezialitäten wie Tee, Yoghurt, Wein oder Ouzo kaufen, die allerdings auch nicht sehr preiswert sind.

Très bon petit restaurant familial qui propose une cuisine grecque traditionnelle faite maison. Nous avons beaucoup aimé les boulettes de viande (servies avec un tatziki crémeux à souhait, une salade de crudités et un pain pita), l’aubergine farcie et le fromage blanc au miel.

Service und Ambiente haben in jedem Fall gestimmt, zu meckern habe ich lediglich über Preise und Menge, trotz Vorspeise bin ich nicht satt geworden, geschmacklich alles zu mild für mich und am Ende für zwei Personen mit nur jeweils einer Limo fast 50€...., da stimmt für mich etwas nicht.

Eine Spanakopita (Spinatteigtasche) nicht sehr üppig für 8 Euro, hahaha das ist derart aberwitzig teuer. Nicht mal besonders groß oder üppig. Ehrlich frech. Danke, dann lieber wieder in Athen für 2,50 Euro.

Tolles Restaurant mit Flair, hier kann man auch Spezialitäten einkaufen . Sehr leckeres typisch griechisches essen. Schokokuchen und Joghurt mit Honig sehr lecker. Preis Leistung- gerade so noch in Ordnung, Preise am oberen Ende der Preisskala.

We ordered a salad and because it already had feta, the extra olives had none, but they were still charged as separate starters. 4,5 euros for 29 olives and 7 (!) euros for just some tomato, feta chunks and toasted bread. There is no cooking in this. We payed 23 euros and were still hungry. And this is Berlin! One star is even too much. Outrageous.

Best Greek food outside of Greece !

Very flavorful and delicious Greek food. We shared two starters and then had one dish each. They were all amazing. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed.

Cosy and friendly place in a busy corner of town. Meatballs and beans were very jummy, the grilled pepper sauce a little treasure of Greece. Highly coveted wine card, the one I tried made in a method so natural that flavours come alive. Selection of deli ingredients we'll stock up on for the summer cooking.

Outstanding food quality, and super nice, cozy vibe in this little charming place. I come here again and again, the whole menu is amazing and I'm never disappointed! Waiter is super nice too. One of my favorite spots for a dinner. It's not cheap, but it's reasonably priced for such a great food - except maybe the wines, they are quite expensive. Otherways I can't say a bad word about this place, it's really worth of visit!

Our day was brightened by authentic Greek food, cosy music, the sweetest Greek people who make the food themselves, very good wines, and we left so happy and satisfied. Das essen war so so. Die Preise sind übertrieben teuer für so ein Lokal. Ich dachte das ist ein Griechisches Restaurant! Von typischen griechischen leckeren Speisen die man normalerweise bei griechischen isst findest du hier nichts ! Vielleicht Ist anders definiert griechisch ! Ich denke das ist einen Familienbetrieb 👍🏼 Abgesehen von der bescheidende Speisekarte, die nicht vieles zu bitten hat, der Service war chaotisch, der Typ war hektisch und unfreundlich und brachte die speisen mit viel Verzuckerung von einander, sagte nichts und schmiss einfach den Teller auf dem Tisch! Wir waren 8 Personen und könnten nicht zusammen essen, weil die Speisen kam mit 10 bis 15 Minuten Verspätung. Die Toilette ist katastrophal! Bitte mach etwas dafür! Um 21:40 wollten wir noch was bestellen, Am Ende kriegt man keine normale Rechnung, paar Nummern mit paar Preisen davor, sehr sehr unklar und durcheinander.

The owner was friendly, cozy environment, delicious foods and really good wine. But service is not really the best, they are very slow, foods weren’t served warm. Appetizers are very expensive for a very tiny portion and at the end they can not separate the bill, the bill itself has no name of the food in it, it took time to calculate who should pay how much to an another. It’s not recommended for big groups.

Der vegetarische Auberginenauflauf verdient mindestens fünf Sterne, der war „von einem anderen Stern“! 😊 Allerdings hat mich mein eigentlich liebstes Gericht bei Sonnenstrahlen, Tzaziki, so gar nicht überzeugt (ich finde es schmeckte alt) und für die kleine Schale fand ich den Preis leider komplett überzogen. Das hat mich wirklich enttäuscht. Ebenso bei der anderen Vorspeise, die wir hatten (der Feta war sehr lecker, der Rest „normal“) - Preis echt teuer für die sehr kleine Portion. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und die Bedienung freundlich.

I recently had the chance to visit Rises, a Greek restaurant, and I have to say that I was quite impressed. The food was of extremely high quality and it had a distinct homemade feel to it. Despite these minor issues, I still think that Rises is a great option for anyone looking for high-quality Greek food with a homely feel. I would definitely recommend it to others, particularly those who are interested in trying something a little different from the usual touristy options. Overall, while it may be a bit overpriced and not always easy to find open, the quality of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant make it a worthwhile experience.

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant mit Ladengeschäft. Sind sontan hier eingekehrt . Karte übersichtlich, klein aber fein. Moussaka köstlich, Omas Fleischbällchen sehr gut und Soutzoukakia Fleischbällchen in Tomatensoße sehr lecker. Fragt welcher Wein passt und ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht. Zum Abschluss ein Joghurt mit Honig .😋 Preis/Leistung angemessen.

Delicious home made Greek food. Moussaka, Favas, Gigantes, everything is superb. It tasted all so good in the restaurant that I asked Valli to prepare food for my birthday party. Everybody was really impressed by the taste of the food just like me. It was so good that people demanded Ouzo afterwards 😊.

Rises Delicacies is a family operation with everything, including the fabulous bread, prepared on site. It has an informal and friendly atmosphere, with delicious Greek food. Don't pass up the wonderful, special teas, and do try the homemade yogurt.
