Was für ein wundervoller Abend in der Weichselstraße. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre bei Kerzenschein hat uns sofort verzaubert. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch. Besonders die Lammkoteletts mit den fein gewürzten Pommes waren auf den Punkt gebraten und unglaublich lecker. Auch der Wein war eine exzellente Wahl und hat den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Wir kommen definitiv sehr bald wieder.

Wir sind Stammgäste, wohnen im Kiez und können Kane Mam ohne Einschränkung wärmstens empfehlen! Bisher waren wir nur zum Abendessen da und sind jetzt sehr glücklich, auch das Frühstück und Brunch am Wochenende entdeckt zu haben. Abends können wir die vegetarische Vorspeisenplatte, die Dorade, die Auberginenrollen und alle Weine empfehlen :) Heute haben wir das Frühstück probiert und sind sehr begeistert!! Sauerteigbrot, Rührei mit Feta und Joghurt mit Granola waren fantastisch!! Es ist so lecker und nett hier. Auch wenn gerade eine blöde Baustelle da ist – sobald man hier sitzt und isst, ist alles einfach nur schön!

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Griechischer Küche modern interpretiert und grundsätzlich lecker. Leider hatte das vegetarische Groß etwas zu viel Röstaromen. Dafür waren die Stullen zum Frühstück einfach nur lecker.

Mehrfach reserviert und trotzdem vor verschlossener Tür gestanden Ich habe über die bei Google angebotene Online-Reservierung mehrfach einen Tisch reserviert. Bei meiner Ankunft war das Restaurant jedoch geschlossen. Eine vorherige Absage oder Information habe ich nicht erhalten. Die jeweiligen Reservierungsbestätigungen liegen mir vor. Bei einem anderen Besuch empfand ich die Preise im Verhältnis zum Gebotenen als deutlich zu hoch. Außerdem bellte ein Hund, der sich im Restaurant aufhielt, über längere Zeit laut, wodurch ich die Atmosphäre als sehr unruhig und unangenehm empfand. Auf dem Google-Profil wird zudem aktuell der Hinweis angezeigt, dass 21 bis 50 Bewertungen nach Beschwerden wegen Diffamierung entfernt wurden. Ich gebe hier deshalb bewusst nur meine eigenen, konkret erlebten Erfahrungen wieder. Mein persönliches Fazit: Für mich war die Reservierungsabwicklung unzuverlässig, die Atmosphäre nicht angenehm und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht überzeugend. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrungen werde ich nicht wiederkommen.

Das Essen war fantastisch. Das Personal und die Besitzerin waren super freundlich. Sie hat uns Uzo aufs Haus spendiert 🙌 Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir das nächste Mal da sind.

Wir wohnen schon viele Jahre in der Nähe und haben uns beim Vorbeigehen immer dagegen entscheiden, dort zu essen. Dieses Mal waren mit unserem Besuch doch dort und haben ja alle drei einen Gyros-Teller bestellt. Wenig Gyros, viel Pommes, vielleicht 2 EL Tzatziki. Vor allem beim Griechen erwarte ich eine ordentliche Portion Tzatziki, vor allem bei über 18€ pro Teller. Erst nach Diskussion haben wir eine Portion mehr tzatziki ohne Zuzahlung bekommen. Das Fleisch war trocken. Dafür war angeblich das Schälchen Öl auf dem Teller. Noch nie erlebt. Wenn jemand im Restaurant das Rib Eye Steak zu trocken grillt, macht man auch nicht einfach Öl drüber. Die Bedienung war zu Beginn nett, nach Kritik jedoch zunehmend genervt vom Anschein her. Fanden wir sehr unprofessionell. Auch wir sahen, wie Leute innerhalb des Restaurant mit der Obdachlosen-Zeitung herumliefen und um Geld bettelten. Finde ich auch unangemessen. Wir werden leider nicht wieder kommen.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit guten Gastgeberinnen. Besonders schön fand ich, dass man ein paar vegetarische Möglichkeit hatte. Auch das vegane Essen war super lecker!! Vielen Dank dafür!

Bearbeitete Rezension von Jan Scherer – leider von ehemals 5 Sternen auf 1 Stern geändert. Ich war zuletzt am 12.05. im Kanemam essen. An diesem Tag wurde ich bereits zum zweiten Mal von einem Verkäufer eines Straßenmagazins im Restaurant angesprochen. Besonders störend war für mich, dass der Verkäufer nicht nur draußen unterwegs war, sondern einfach in den Innenbereich des Restaurants kam und von Tisch zu Tisch ging, als wäre das dort völlig normal. Bereits am 02.05. wurde ich im Außenbereich mit einem Freund beim Essen angesprochen. Das war schon unangenehm, aber draußen kann ich noch nachvollziehen, dass das Personal nicht immer direkten Einfluss darauf hat. Dass so etwas aber im Innenbereich passiert und niemand vom Personal einschreitet, finde ich absolut nicht akzeptabel. Ich bin daraufhin direkt zur Kellnerin gegangen und habe gefragt, ob es normal sei, dass Gäste beim Essen angesprochen werden. Die Antwort war sinngemäß: „Ja, der ist lieb, der kommt jeden Tag.“ Für mich ist genau das der Punkt: Wenn bekannt ist, dass jemand regelmäßig ins Restaurant kommt und Gäste anspricht, dann sollte das Personal erst recht dafür sorgen, dass zahlende Gäste in Ruhe essen können. Stattdessen wurde nicht eingegriffen; im Gegenteil, die Kellnerin holte sogar Geld aus dem Portemonnaie und gab es ihm. Nach dem Besuch habe ich die Besitzerin telefonisch kontaktiert und meine Beschwerde geschildert. Leider hatte ich auch dort nicht den Eindruck, dass mein Anliegen wirklich ernst genommen wurde. Mir wurde sinngemäß gesagt, dass diese Straßenzeitung ja verkauft werden müsse. Das mag grundsätzlich sein, aber aus meiner Sicht gehört das nicht in den Innenbereich eines Restaurants, in dem Gäste essen, entspannen und dafür bezahlen, nicht gestört zu werden. Ich habe das Kanemam bisher sehr gerne besucht und entsprechend positiv bewertet. Gerade deshalb enttäuscht mich diese Situation so sehr. Aufgrund dieses Vorfalls und des Umgangs damit ziehe ich meine bisherige Top-Bewertung zurück. Zwei Sterne Abzug dafür, dass das Personal im Innenbereich nicht eingeschritten ist. Weitere zwei Sterne Abzug dafür, dass die Beschwerde bei der Besitzerin für mich nicht ernsthaft nachvollziehbar behandelt wurde. Für mich ist das leider kein Umfeld mehr, in dem ich entspannt essen gehen möchte.

Die Gyros-Portionen wurden halbiert. Egal wie toll das Fleisch ist, das geht gar nicht bei den Preisen. Mich sieht das Restaurant nie wieder. Sehr schade, denn ich war früher dort gerne essen.

Mehrere kritische Bewertungen sind inzwischen nicht mehr auffindbar. Dadurch entsteht ein deutlich geschöntes Gesamtbild, das aus meiner Sicht nicht die tatsächlichen Erfahrungen widerspiegelt, da die Inhaberin kritische Bewertungen gezielt löscht. Die aktuelle Bewertungslage wirkt daher nur eingeschränkt aussagekräftig. Edit: Da die Inhaberin schreibt, dass dies nicht stimmen würde, habe ich den Screenshot aus ihrer Email an diese Nachricht beigefügt.

Pommes und Tzatziki waren gut. Das Gyrosfleisch war sehr wenig und schmeckte weder besonders gut noch authentisch. Außerdem fehlen auf der englischen Speisekarte einige Gerichte, die auf der deutschen zu finden sind. Service und Atmosphäre waren angenehm.

Zwischen all der Wurst brauchten wir Fisch, Gemüse … im Grunde etwas typisch Mediterranes. Wir entdeckten dieses Restaurant auf dem Weg zu einem Konzert, und das Essen war einfach köstlich. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, und die Atmosphäre sehr entspannt. Alle drei Gerichte waren sehr gut, besonders der Käse mit den Feigen. Köstlich!

Kenne dieses Lokal seit ca. 3 Jahren. Anfänglich überzeugte das Lokal durch Qualität,Service und Freundlichkeit. Dann nach Personalveränderungen kam es zu spürbaren Verschlechterungen. Herzlichkeit des Personals und die Qualität der Küche ließen nach. Bei einem Besuch im Herbst 2025 servierte man mir eine Dorade welche nicht korrekt geschuppt wurde. Auf Nachfrage erklärte man das der Fisch so „küchenfertig“ geliefert worden sei. Nun das macht das Essen für mich trotzdem nicht genießbar. Im Februar 2026 wollte ich dem Lokal nochmal eine Chance geben. Es begann leider schon nicht gut. Obwohl nur 3 Tische im Lokal besetzt waren mußte ich 20 Minuten auf ein Glas Bier warten. Die Bedienung und die Tresenmitarbeiterin hatten wohl eine angeregte Unterhaltung. Außer dem Bier wurde noch ein Gin Tonic geordert. Dieser Drink wurde mit einer Scheibe Zitrone garniert. Den Gin hatte man aber wohl vergessen. Neben einem vegetarischem Gericht wurde auch wieder ein Fischgericht bestellt. Dieses Mal war der Fisch innen blutig. Warten mußten wir auf das Essen ca. 1 Stunde. Wie erwähnt das Lokal war fast leer. Die Lüftung der Küche scheint nicht zu funktionieren. Meine komplette Garderobe roch nach dem Besuch als hätte ich selbst an der Fritteuse gestanden. Chance vertan …… nie wieder!

Heute waren meine zwei kleinen Töchter und ich hier eine Kleinigkeit essen, da wir draußen unterwegs waren und uns aufwärmen wollten (minus 6 Grad). Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen lecker. Wir hatten Gyros und Pommes.

Anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine should definitely visit this restaurant. Lovingly and artfully presented dishes, attentive staff, and a wine list that is second to none completely won us over. Here, guests don't need to be persuaded with carafes of ouzo; the food speaks for itself. If I could, I would eat the appetizer platter for two every day. The cod is also highly recommended. We will definitely be back soon to try the other dishes from the very creative menu.

We ate here today (January 11, 2026) after a long walk and received a warm welcome. The service was very friendly, and they gave us a great wine recommendation. The wine (€39 per bottle) isn't exactly cheap, but it's worth the money. 👍🏻 I ordered the gyros and can highly recommend it. I haven't had such good gyros in a long time, not even in Greece. So we can definitely recommend the restaurant "Kane Mam".

We came after 2 years since our last visit and it is not like before . -Slow service -The lam chops was full of fat without taste - The galaktoboureko was more a bougatsa that was heated in the oven - The pulpo was average - Souvlaki very small and average taste

Fantastic Greek dishes, delicious and beautifully presented. They aren't the "standard" dishes you usually find (not that I'm saying anything bad about standard dishes). Anyone who eats here will experience different kinds of Greek food, and the service is very friendly and accommodating. We stumbled upon this place by chance and will definitely be back. The prices are absolutely reasonable.

A slightly different kind of Greek restaurant... no garlic potatoes, no mixed grill platters with meat and even more meat... but instead, excellent appetizers... each one more amazing than the last. And don't worry... you won't miss out on classic dishes like gyros, bifteki, or moussaka. They're sometimes given a slightly different twist, though. The gyros, described on the menu as "next level," is probably even "max level." I've never had gyros like this before, and now I really want it just like this... fantastic. They also have Mythos beer on tap, a very extensive wine list, and additional seasonal dishes if you manage to work your way through the limited menu. And if you need an ouzo to aid digestion... it was complimentary... I guess they really do have to cater to guests' expectations when visiting a Greek restaurant. The decor is rather bright and modern... not as rustic as some other Greek restaurants, but that would probably create the wrong impression. Apparently, you can also sit outside comfortably in the summer. Overall, a great experience and definitely not my last visit. Card payment accepted ✅ Delivery service accepted ✅

It was a really nice atmosphere but unfortunately the food took a long time and for the price I expected more in terms of taste.

Unfortunately, I had a little bad luck with my Giros meat. The atmosphere is okay, though; the service seems overwhelmed. They try to remain friendly, though. The manager has to help out in the kitchen. It's a good thing I didn't order anything online; a delivery guy has been sitting at the counter for 15 minutes now, waiting for the takeout and delivery food. It's actually a nice restaurant, but somehow everything seems a bit disorganized.

We were excited to try this restaurant with its unusual menu but were disappointed. First, the English version of the menu completely omits salads and soups which are only on the German menu. We were waited on by a young man who we assume was the owner's son because it seems as though he really did not want to be there. Wasn't warm or helpful and did not really seem to know the menu whereas the owner and her daughter(s) seemed to be much nicer. We ordered the dish of bread with tomato, pesto and feta but they were out of it which is strange. Ordered olives for the table which states "three kinds of olives" but it had only one green olive and many black olives (2 types) and pepperoncini, covered with fresh onions. We ordered triangles of dough that were supposed to have 3 different fillings for an appetizer but they were all the same. The fish, gyros, and moussaka were all fine. The eggplant stuffed with bulgur was excellent. The lentil soup was flavorless. It was disappointing.

Great dishes. Finally, something that's not your typical "German Greek." High-quality and creative cuisine, and a decent portion size. The service is friendly, but sometimes seems a bit overwhelmed.

If you want to experience truly Greek food, Kane Mam is a must. The young owner deserves praise for his dedication and excellent cuisine.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the vegetarian moussaka. It didn't taste very good, and there was no substitute for the minced meat. €16.90 for that is quite steep. But you can sit outside and the service was solid.

Nice Greek restaurant with different starters. I could recommend the zucchini pancakes. The Lachs tartar was 5/10, nothing bad but nothing special either. Oven feta was also ok. Lamb chops were very tasty but a bit too fatty for my liking.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Kane Mam, and I can confidently say it was one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. Every member of the staff made us feel like honored guests. The food was outstanding, but what truly stole the show was the dessert: the Galaktoboureko. I’ve had this traditional Greek dessert before, but never like this. The pastry was perfectly crisp on the outside, with a creamy custard inside that was both rich and light, and the syrup had just the right touch of sweetness. It was absolutely heavenly worth the trip on its own! Kane Man is a rare gem, combining top-notch hospitality with unforgettable food. I can’t wait to return!

It was super tasty, small Greek beer slightly overpriced, nice staff, unfortunately the food didn't come for everyone at the same time, a dish was forgotten or the wrong dish was accidentally given out. But then it still happened very quickly. A drink was forgotten. But overall it was great and I highly recommend it

We had reserved a table for 5 people for Saturday evening, which was not prepared. There was no toilet paper or towels in the toilet, and no toilet seat in the men's toilet. The food arrived at the table so cold that it had to be reheated in the kitchen. We had to wait 30 minutes for drinks. There was then a drink on the house. The staff themselves were embarrassed and said, “Today there was probably a worm in the room,” so as an apology they each received an ouzo or espresso on the house. For us the evening was rather a disappointment.

Super sweet staff, delicious creative food (also lots of veggie) and great service. Dogs are also welcome guests here. 1 star deducted because of the absolutely outrageous prices for a glass of wine.

Absolutely recommended. Totally likeable restaurant, you can feel that they are making a real effort and want to serve good food. And that's it. Classic dishes that don't taste like mass-produced food. And unusual things are also offered. Highly recommended, we come more often now.

Magical gem on Traveplatz. Wonderful ambience. Not too modern. Not too cozy. Extremely loving service. Very quick and attentive. Very exceptional Greek wines. Starters are fantastic. Fresh. Homemade. Aromatic. 90% of the starters are vegetarian. We had gyros and souvlaki. The gyro is from Duroc pork. Tender. Fillet-like. Juicy. Not finished. Unusually spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Plus fresh, homemade chimichurri and fresh tzatziki.

Food okay, although not more than average. Portions are rather small, so not for those who are very hungry. Service is sometimes invisible, but then again almost intrusive. So overall, one of the many Greeks that there are in Berlin in large numbers and who doesn't really stand out in any way. You can go, but you don't have to.

We are super content with the service, the taste and the diversity of the menu. Reflecting the authentic Greek almost 100%. Mousakka and galaktoboureko were my favorites that I can recommend. Kolokhitakia is also worth a try. The portions are huge btw! :) Thanks manolis and friends

Hidden gem in the neighbourhood. It is a nice restaurant with good pp ratio

The music is atmospheric. The ice cubes taste fantastic. The atmosphere is friendly and, last but not least, the food is free of the German idea of ​​what Greek cuisine should be like.

I picked up a gyro and was so surprised. The store looks great from the outside, but the interior design is also very successful. But the gyros were simply outstanding, not like others who give you half a bottle of ouzo so you can devour the masses. It was a very good portion that rounded everything off with the homemade tzatziki. I'll be back. Love goes out.

My best experience so far in a restaurant with Greek cuisine. Very pleasant people. Very well selected dishes lovingly prepared with dedication. In terms of taste, everything is an experience for the senses. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to pass this on as an express recommendation!

Delicious authentic family-owned Greek restaurant in a quiet residential area of Berlin. I had the feta tempura which is some of the tastiest food I have had this year, and the gyros were at the right level of chewiness and flavor. Excellent place with really welcoming service, will definitely be back.

Even though I specifically stated that I have a gluten allergy, the fish that came yesterday was cooked with flour. Even though I had decided to make it without flour. I guess they don't care about human health.

First things first, the quality of the food is really high and good. The service is tried hard. We found the portions to be relatively small, so anyone who is very hungry should definitely take a starter. The vegetarian moussaka was very tasty, we were disappointed with the gyros, it wasn't traditionally seasoned and we weren't impressed by the taste. The chimichurri only tasted like olive oil.

The food is good, but the prices are too expensive for the mediocre quality of the products. The service seemed awkward and unprofessional to me. The atmosphere is chic, but at times the place smells like a chip shop and our clothes smelled very strongly of grease after the visit.

We ate here last week and unfortunately have to agree with our previous reviews. It started when the person who served us wanted to offer us the spot at the corner of the construction site, which we politely declined. The starter (goat cheese gratin on wild berries) came to us carelessly prepared and lukewarm. My husband had the leg of lamb, which was tender but far too fatty. It came carelessly prepared and drowned in a bed of vegetables dripping with grease. I ordered the gyros, the meat was unfortunately tough and completely over-seasoned, and there was tzatziki that unfortunately never saw any cucumbers or garlic. Unfortunately it was a loveless, white mess... there was also chimichurri, which consisted of three parsley leaves drowned in oil and had no taste. Really disappointing and completely overpriced.

The waiters are friendly across the board, the food is very tasty, only the artichoke hearts were bitter and hard. Overall, the portions are rather manageable. What ultimately led to the star deduction: There was no Retsina! A no go for me at the Greek! Even the ouzo on the house didn't comfort me.

Nice atmosphere and super nice, friendly and courteous staff 👍 Unfortunately the food was disappointing... original Greek tastes different 😟 Basically the food was ok. ...but the typical Greek spices were unfortunately missing...tasted very "German"...it's a shame...

My friend and I wanted to get greek food and were really excited to try this place. We got to sit outside and the atmosphere was quite nice, but it took a super long time for us to get our order taken, our food took over an hour, and then when we got our Gyros it was cold :( . I would have been happy to say something, but no one came to our table again for awhile so we just went ahead and ate it. Overall the spices and everything was super good, the tzatziki was fluffy and delicious, but the meat and pita being cold kind of ruined the whole dish. The ambiance, servers, and location were all great. Just a bit of a bummer with the food! The ouzo at the end was nice though. Overall 3/5.
