Usedomer Brauhaus in Heringsdorf

The brewery used to be a must-visit. But unfortunately, the food has deteriorated over the last few years. There were four of us, and we each ordered a different meal. None of us were satisfied. It was extremely greasy and tasteless. Two of us even had stomach problems. The brewery's beer is very tasty, though. The service was attentive and friendly. (It doesn't hurt to ask if you need anything else 😉) The ambiance is appropriate for a brewery. Tip: Definitely make a reservation! The best way to do this is directly at the brewery. However, because of the food, this was our last time at the brewery. As I said... we were regulars for many, many years, and it's been going downhill for the last three years or so.

Unfortunately, there was no hot lemon drink, nor mulled wine (in November!), and the black pudding was advertised with mashed potatoes, but we received regular mashed potatoes without explanation. Otherwise, the food was tasty. The portions were sufficient for seniors.

I didn't eat, I just listened to the live music. It was very nice and fun. Keep it up!

Highlight: the beer! "Usedomer," from the private brewery. The food is very good, with a wide selection and reasonable prices. All in all, highly recommended. We'd love to go back next year.

Saturday, October 16th. We wanted to eat and try the beers. But we were only greeted until 6:00 PM. We weren't exactly treated with charm. But then... Just when you think you'll be served quickly... nope, you sit and watch the staff in a relatively empty restaurant running back and forth, talking to each other, going in and out, and... after asking three times, we were finally allowed to order. In an empty brewery after 15 minutes. 🤔 The beer tastes good, but even at Munich's Marienplatz, you can get Augustiner for 20% less. Then we treated ourselves to the special burger. Hard and stale fries, the patty was just okay, the bun was dry, only the pulled pork was good. Overall, it was okay if it had cost €12-15. But for €24.40... Thank goodness we weren't allowed to stay. Given the service and quality, I, as an islander, will not be returning and will recommend to my guests that they go somewhere else.

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our visit to this brewery. We were there for dinner on October 31, 2025. We had reserved a table about six weeks in advance, assuming we would then have proper seating. Unfortunately, we were only allowed to sit on two high chairs with a table. Even when another table with more comfortable seating became available, we weren't allowed to sit there. The food was good and plentiful. The service staff, well... We are in Heringsdorf fairly often, but we will try other restaurants in the future.

My husband and I took part in the brewery tour today, which currently takes place every Thursday. The tour was led by the brewmaster, Mr. Riffeler. It was great fun because you could tell he loves his job. He explained everything with great enthusiasm and took plenty of time. The beer, liqueurs, and fruit brandies were delicious. We highly recommend it.

Reserving a seat is a disaster, at least by phone 😕

So, my girlfriend and I had an okay experience at the Usedom Brewery. The friendly Polish server was courteous and quick! Let's talk about the food: the chicken was good, the fries were good, and the coleslaw was quite good. Whether it was homemade or just a good quality product, there's nothing to complain about. 18 euros for the chicken is perfectly reasonable. Then we had the brewery schnitzel… well, the fried potatoes were simply drenched in fat (oil) without any real browning. The crispiness was completely missing (unfortunately). The schnitzel had been breaded hours before and left outside to dry out without any foil. But ultimately, it's just the cook's lack of motivation and lack of thought (he doesn't have to eat it, or so he thinks?). So, for 24.10 euros, I expect the cook to understand that it's the people who eat the food there and pay his salary. And at 5 p.m., the desire to work should still be clearly present. Yes, unfortunately, not everything was great. Nevertheless, I gave a good tip; the waiter salvaged it somewhat with his attentiveness. And my love for the restaurant business remains, but a tip for the owner: try the food himself every now and then, secretly, and make it clear to his chefs that good food is beyond question. Because of the good beer and the ambiance, I would recommend the restaurant! Perhaps someone will read this and try to work on it; producing good food isn't difficult!

We took part in the brewery tour (every Thursday, reservations required). It was very interesting to see how the beer is brewed here, including a tasting and a small snack. The tour with brewmaster Enriko was informative and also a lot of fun. We had dinner right afterward. It was delicious, and we already knew which beer we wanted to try! 😂

A lovely brewery in the heart of Heringsdorf. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, the beer delicious and highly recommended. A bit pricey, the food was basically okay but nothing special. The Königsberger Klopse (meatballs) were bland and without capers, the rest was very generous with the pepper. The price-performance ratio is acceptable for the area.

Going for a nice, rustic meal at a brewery? Wrong. The house-brewed wheat beer tasted very watery and more like a pilsner than a wheat beer. Grade: F The pork knuckle, which cost €28, had a completely flabby skin. I ordered pork knuckle because I wanted a nice, crispy crackling. The meat was okay, a bit too "porky," but as I said, the crackling was practically inedible. The schnitzel was also very disappointing. It wasn't deep-fried, but rather pan-fried. Some parts of the breading were burnt, others completely pale—plus, it was very greasy, and the meat was far too thick. Pounding it would have helped. The Polish waiter was alright. As the owner, I would be quite ashamed of serving this food.

We were pleased to hear from the staff member after 8 p.m. that the kitchen was still open. Unfortunately, we weren't served for the next fifteen minutes, and even when we asked, we were completely ignored. Therefore, we can't comment on the quality of the food. The service was a complete and utter disgrace. This is quite concerning for a tourist destination… we won't be returning and can only advise everyone else to do the same.

Despite visibly free tables, they were unwilling to offer us a seat on a weekday evening in October 2025. There were enough service staff on site. I would have preferred a different style of communication from the staff.

We were there on the evening of October 23, 2025. It was busy, and service was fast. We ordered, and within 10 minutes we had our food. We had pan-fried fish with fried potatoes, mustard sauce, and cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was slightly sour and spicy, and the fish and fried potatoes were very tasty. All in all, a good end to the day.

Königsberger Klopse were very good!

A very nice, rustic brewery, perfect for dining and relaxing. A little more expensive overall, but if you want something good... Only the benches could use some updating. The music was a little louder, but you could still have a conversation. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the restrooms were clean. The food was plentiful and fresh. Hot and tasty. I would go back anytime.

It was uncomfortable, and we even got a seat without a reservation. The selection of food and drinks was excellent, the service was sensational, and the food arrived in under 20 minutes. Delicious and plentiful, and definitely recommended. And we were even luckier, with live music included. Thanks to the whole team.

Very nice ambiance, but unfortunately everything is very cramped. The decor is typical of a brewery. The staff is polite and predominantly of Polish descent with very good German skills, but could be more attentive. A very extensive drinks menu with beer specialties and beer cocktails. The food had a good selection and was rustic. Substitutions for French fries instead of fried potatoes were no problem. The portion size was sufficient and well-priced. The taste was very good, and the side salad was also crunchy. Dessert (panna cota and chocolate pudding) was unfortunately served in a beer-to-go cup. However, the dessert was very tasty.

Typical brewery ambiance, original brewing kettle and seating. Solid menu, solid food. Staff impersonal, busy with their tablets and inattentive! There's also a time limit, which is a different experience for me... They still need a lot of practice. Maybe look more south.

The matjes and the liver were excellent

The brewery left a mixed impression. Our meal lived up to expectations for a brewery. Large portions and hearty. We had the liver with mashed potatoes, onions, and apple pieces; just as it should be, and the brewery schnitzel with fried potatoes and a side salad. As is typical for a brewery, the schnitzel offers plenty of bite-sized bites 😃 (no PNP), and the spent grain breading makes it a bit firmer. A good beer to go with it. Unfortunately, the service was a bit questionable! The greeting when we were seated was frosty. We almost apologized for having made a reservation, because you absolutely have to. After being seated, a young waitress came over and took our order. We wondered, was she tired and completely overworked? Or was she working while sick? In any case, she was completely burned out. We're actually sorry we can only give the service 3 stars. The management probably deserves that. Apparently, the brewery doesn't have enough staff. Incidentally, the brewery belongs to the Seetel Hotel. Dear managers, please remember that your employees are your most valuable asset. This should finally be recognized in the restaurant industry. Opening hours may need to be adjusted to the staffing levels. We left after dinner; we didn't want to cause any further stress for the staff.

People, people - what has become of you??? We were with you at Easter 2022 as usual, but we have never experienced anything like this in all these years! The staff are no longer motivated, no smiles and no fun, not even music in the background like in the pub in Bansin, for example. Less on the plate despite the price increase - not everything can be excused with Corona and Ukraine!!! Especially now, entrepreneurial spirit is needed after the relaxation of restrictions in the catering industry. Regular live music should take place again and otherwise the GEMA fee should not be a hurdle in a venue like this!!! In the meantime, time has passed, and we decided to give the restaurant a chance at the beginning of October 2023. The staff has been completely replaced, not unfriendly! Since on our evening a group of men, of different nationalities, was in charge, it came to a head. Colleagues were shouting at each other and fighting their differences in front of all the guests. That's simply not possible! I don't want to always complain, but the beer is now just for the sink! It just tastes sour!! It used to be sooo great🥲🥲🥲 Now the update from October 5, 2024: The food was very tasty again, and the portions were perfectly fine. The brewery beer, well, was much worse recently, will be again😃 A major problem, however, is still the staffing. It's certainly not easy to find staff who enjoy their work🤷‍♂️It used to be better... (not everything)😃😃😃Addition 2025 in October: Food is delicious, portions are good, the beer is now thin and simply a disaster - nothing like it used to taste and the live band can no longer find the higher notes - creepy! We will not be booking this restaurant again for a while. PS: Staff very quick but you get the impression that it's an assembly line, you want to get the table free again as quickly as possible - not a friendly word on your lips like before.

We spontaneously stopped in this evening. It was very busy, but we were able to get a seat at the bar. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and accommodating. That was the positive thing. The food wasn't worth the money. I had the broiler, which was freshly grilled from 4 p.m. (according to the menu). It tasted like it had been reheated twice; the skin was leathery, and the meat tasted dry and not freshly grilled. My sister had herring with fried potatoes and remolade and some side dishes (tomato, cucumber, iceberg lettuce). The fried potatoes were almost cold and half-burnt. It felt like they were leftovers from the pan. The remolade probably came from a 10-kilo bucket. No onion, cucumber, or apple in it. In short, it was all just ready-made stuff. We certainly won't be coming back. We're happy to pay a bit more for good food, but not for poor quality. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

It was simply fantastic. Our requests were happily fulfilled without grumbling or excuses, and the food was wonderful. I'd love to come back.

Mega delicious, friendly staff, beautiful restaurant

The brewery is located in the center of Heringsdorf. The beer and food are good, but also very expensive! A half-liter of beer for €6 and a burger for €21.30 are unfortunately unacceptable.

We ate delicious onion cake and drank a festival beer. We'll be back!

Nice ambiance, but knuckle of pork is only available in Bavaria. The crust was sloppy, sauerkraut was way too sour, and the fried potatoes weren't good either.

We had actually booked the brewery tour, but the brewer wasn't available that day. As compensation, we were given 150ml of light and dark beer each to sample. So generous, really very, very nice. We ate there, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

Another delight. Too bad the party kegs were sold out.

Six of us went to the brewery for dinner. Although we had a reservation, the reception was very cold and unfriendly. We were disappointed by the quality of the food, some of which arrived lukewarm. The meatloaf was certainly just reheated and covered in a dark sauce. Conclusion: Unfriendly service, mediocre food

The brewery itself is nice, but unfortunately, I can't recommend my meal. I was really looking forward to the Berlin beef liver, but it wasn't good. The liver was overcooked, the onions were too light, there was no apple, and the mashed potatoes were like paste. The portion was also very small; it could have been better.

The various beers are certainly recommended. The staff is attentive. The prices are on the higher side, even for the home-brewed beer. As for the food: The onion cake wasn't convincing, as it was almost cold. Onion cake should also taste of onions, which unfortunately wasn't very pronounced. Overall, it wasn't spicy enough, although salt isn't the issue here. Conclusion: Drink, yes, but not recommended for the food.

A pleasant place to spend a convivial evening. On Saturdays, there's live music—really great music for dancing. It gets very crowded, so be sure to reserve a spot.

We sat outside in a beach chair and drank the home-brewed Usedom beer, which was truly delicious 😋!!! Beer lovers shouldn't miss this! The interior is also very beautiful and quaint, with a brewery atmosphere! We didn't eat, but I could see that the portions were quite large, and everything being eaten at the neighboring tables looked at least quite delicious 😅

One steak cutlet with fried potatoes and one breaded pork schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes. Orders were taken quickly and friendly. The food was plentiful, delicious 😋, and moderately priced too. The tables could be bigger—I think they're pretty "smart" 😉.

We wanted to stop by the brewery with guests today. We were seated after indicating the number of people and saying a friendly hello to the employee. Without a real look or comment, she walked into the dining room. Welcome is different. We left immediately...

This time we had a brewery burger with fries. The burger 🍔 wasn't a highlight, and the fries were way too crispy and had a lot of salt on them. If that's the house specialty, then I can't really recommend it. Incidentally, the drink prices are also very high. Offering a 0.33 liter draft beer for €5 is quite a feat.

A very nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and a central location. The naturally cloudy beer tasted really good. The service was very attentive, friendly, and quick. The portion size of Königssteiner Klopse with mashed potatoes was okay, but the taste was rather average. If you enjoy a nice beer and aren't expecting culinary highlights, this is definitely the place to go.

The worst meal in years! I ordered a Brauhaus Burger, which didn't look bad but was very small. The burger was completely dry, hard, and partially burnt! The bun and side dishes were also nothing special, and the fries were left in the fryer far too long and were already hard. In short, the worst burger in years, and I can't remember having a worse one! The other customers' ham hocks were also tough, and the crust was soggy; they were also pretty bad. My Alster was like slop, but the prices were high, and the burger was almost €20 for such abysmal quality. Never again!

Yes, it was an honor again. See you on January 26.

We visited the Usedom Brauhaus for lunch and had no trouble getting a great seat, even with our dog, which was very nice. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. We ordered the house specialty, the pork knuckle, twice. It was truly outstanding: very tasty, plentiful, and served quickly. Absolutely fantastic value for money. A visit is definitely worth it – highly recommended!

The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. The outdoor terrace is also great when the weather's nice.

The food was awful. The schnitzel was frozen, deep-fried, and barely edible. The fried potatoes were old and greasy. There was a ton of balsamic vinegar on the salad. In short, after complaining to the waitress, a discussion ensued. As a gesture of goodwill, we didn't have to pay for the meal, but we did tip. The service itself is good. In short, this brewery is not recommended for its food. The service and staff were polite, friendly, and quick. Too bad; we expected more.

The staff didn't want to take a reservation. They told us to just show up and there would be plenty of free seats. There weren't any available seats on site, but something would become available soon. As it turned out, they had told this to many other people already waiting at the bar.

We took the brewery tour today, I can only recommend it. Such a great brewmaster. The tasting was also fantastic; we definitely have to try the restaurant in the next few days. We ate there today and have never received our food so quickly—about 15 minutes—and it was delicious. Great location.

The food leaves a lot to be desired. It's mostly ready-made meals from cans or frozen food. For example, the schnitzel for €19.90 was—as even our angels said—extremely tough and barely chewable. So, I won't be going there again. I also found it surprising that guests were being turned away even though many tables were empty and still unoccupied even after an hour. Is there perhaps a deliberate artificial rush being created here to make the quality seem higher?

I like this place. It has a great atmosphere, both inside and in the garden outside. And the beer is delicious!

Unfortunately, the knuckles weren't crispy. When we pointed this out, we received a rude reply that it wasn't listed on the menu. That's just unacceptable... The beer was delicious!

The quality of the brewery has declined considerably. The service was very unfriendly, and for a moment we thought we were forgotten. When we ordered water, we were given a glass that still had the previous customer's lipstick on it. When we put the glass down, the staff noticed but didn't react. The food wasn't of high quality, and the drinks were "OK." There was apparently a technical error with the card payment machine, which was also explained to us in a rather unfriendly manner.

The food and the restaurant are not recommended

We were back in Heringsdorf after a long time. The last time was at the end of 2023. Daily visits to the brewery are part of that. We were there three evenings. The tables were reserved in advance via Open Table. It always worked perfectly, and if we had any questions, we could communicate with the brewery via the app. We were there twice as a group of four and once with 12 people. We received very courteous service on all three evenings. The only thing I can think of is, why don't you get a "KURTER" on the house for a party of 12 people? We'll be back.....

The portions (the knuckle) are quite good, but could be crispier. The wheat beer was unfortunately empty, and the pilsner is quite good, but nothing particularly special. The food is tasty, and I've never tasted the sauerkraut like it before. The fried potatoes, however, unfortunately leave a lot to be desired, as they didn't taste particularly fresh. The restrooms were clean, though.

Sorry, the food was abysmal. That was by far the worst pork schnitzel (€24!) I've ever eaten. The meatloaf was actually even worse. If only I'd had a fish sandwich somewhere. Okay for a beer, but you shouldn't eat there.

Quite good. Delicious beer and food. But very efficiently designed... and therefore impersonal. The staff, as mentioned, rush through the aisles to get everything done, which makes you really feel sorry for them.

Beer and food very tasty - nothing more to say.

The "Hefeweizen" is the worst wheat beer I've ever had, as a wheat beer connoisseur. Watery, bland, transparent like a crystal wheat beer. When I asked the waitress, she confirmed that it was really their Hefeweizen. Truly horrible. The food and the location were good, and the service was attentive.

We received very friendly and courteous service. Our dishes were delicious. The accompanying cucumber salad was simply fantastic, with the dill added to it.

I'm absolutely thrilled! The food at the brewery was simply fantastic – a true culinary highlight. The service was also top-notch: friendly, attentive, and super fast. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit that completely blew me away. A clear 5 stars and an absolute recommendation!

We've been visiting the brewery on vacation for many years. Unfortunately, today will be our last visit. We were there once before this week, but the wait staff ignored us and left. Today was our second attempt. While not exactly friendly, our order was taken promptly. The food was disappointing. No one had ever heard of the saying "You eat with your eyes." My "so-called" fish soup came with one slice of fresh bread and one from the previous day. When I commented on the food, I was given a strange look. The seating was also appalling. The leather on the top was torn, and the inside was "wanting to come out." It's a shame, we're used to it differently.

Top-notch dining in Heringsdorf. Here you'll find broiler meats from the rotisserie grill and other meat delicacies. As befits a brewery, there's a commensurate selection of beers. During peak lunch and dinner times, it's always fully booked several days in advance. Positive: Bookable via OpenTable.

We've been visiting the island at least once a year for many years, and a small highlight was often eating at the brewery. Last week's disappointment was all the greater. The service speaks to guests without even looking at them, and some of the staff have become very unfriendly. The food, however, was much more disappointing. The schnitzel came from a frozen package, the liver was inedible (shoe sole), and the pulled pork in the burger was far too dry. The quality is completely unacceptable considering the price. The beer isn't what it used to be either. We're truly sorry. We were guests last time.

I got a table for dinner even without a reservation. The food was excellent, and prices were reasonable for the time.

Very crowded, fried potatoes appeared to have been reheated repeatedly and were sometimes oversalted. Service was friendly and helpful.
