Usedomer Brauhaus in Heringsdorf

I read other reviews here about the great, attentive service. We enjoyed it on our last visit last year, had great memories of the place, the service and the food, so we went back today. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed, especially with the service. When we arrived there were three young gentlemen on duty, with a fourth joining us shortly afterwards. After a reasonable wait, our order was taken and the drinks and food arrived in a reasonable time. Unfortunately, we had to observe that the four gentlemen were basically just busying themselves with each other; the one who was apparently just starting his shift had an enormous need to talk and not exactly quietly, in the middle of the counter, which is circular in the middle of the restaurant. It was almost a show of pomposity. Guests had to actively draw attention to themselves, for example by going to the counter to order. While we were eating, no one came to ask if it was tasty or if we wanted to drink something else. The food was served very casually over the railing, so we didn't feel like coming up to the table. In between we were able to experience a chef getting two beers, different types - intended for cooking, but he also came back 10 minutes later with the empty glasses. Somehow that didn't make a good impression, can't the service bring the cooking beer to the back when four men are bored there, all talking on their private cell phones and showing each other pictures and being really funny? An unpleasant situation for guests, so simply a minor matter. It's a shame, things were better, the last time for us. Oh yes, this time the food was unfortunately only mediocre, the currywurst, sauce and onions were great, the fried potatoes were soggy, unevenly chopped, not cut, very unevenly fried, the onions were burnt. One of the Brauhausschnitzel was quite good, the other probably just came from a long vacation in Africa and was literally fried to death. The salad would have liked to have had a quick bath in the dressing, which is actually quite delicious, rather than ending up dry on the plate and getting a few drops of dressing in a few places. We definitely wouldn't have been so strict with the food and we would have enjoyed it better if the atmosphere had been hospitable. Too bad about the money. Beer was great again.

The spiced meat we ordered was very good and you couldn't eat the fried potato with the currywurst. After our complaint, the potatoes were replaced. The new fried potatoes were just as bad, dry and sticky. Unfortunately they weren't freshly prepared. The waiter asked us after the food if we liked it. He probably had to, because he wasn't interested in our answer. Too bad

Great, rustic brewery atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive. The beer was ok but unfortunately not entirely satisfactory. For one thing, it was a bit under-carbonized. On the other hand, it was quite dry and unaromatic. All in all, a clear recommendation.

The Usedomer Brauhaus has hospitable opening times and is usually open all day long. We got a table around lunchtime without a reservation. The food was actually what you would expect here: solid, home-style fare, be it the knuckle, the panfish or the rump steak. All dishes tasted good without being particularly convincing. In terms of quality, we were even impressed by the rump steak, which we hadn't expected at all. Overall, the food and drinks came quite quickly. Finally, a few comments about the service. Unfortunately he was pretty listless, didn't know his stuff particularly well and was limited to the bare essentials. I also don't think it's okay in front of the guest if only Polish is spoken to the other service staff during service breaks. As the owner, I wouldn't allow that because you don't understand what it's about. Overall, the Usedomer Brauhaus can be recommended for the food, but not the service at the moment.

Got a table without a reservation. Unfortunately, we didn't notice any of the warmth described by the host. Maybe you got the wrong waiter. This one didn't even have a smile for us. Sample sips in a brewery can only be paid for - we know it differently. Vesper plate recommended. Burgers too. Small salad, well, tomatoes tasteless, this feedback was ignored by the waiter.Brathering was also okay. Fried potatoes not crispy. The second beer was not delivered and had to be ordered again. Forks were missing. Overall, not a dining experience that would make you say I have to go there again, unfortunately. Despite the great atmosphere.

Hello, today we were at the Usedom brewery. We reserved a table in advance, which was an advantage. We had the Brauhaus schnitzel, which was really tasty. We also had various beers and also a Brauhaus beer punch, which was really tasty with fruit. Overall we were very satisfied. It's worth a visit. Remember to reserve a table. Greetings Michael

It's something special, the food was good, the service was friendly. Unfortunately something went wrong with the order, but it was quickly resolved. Unfortunately there was no bottled beer to take away.

There were two of us for dinner in the early evening. From 6 p.m. onwards almost everything is reserved. Rustic atmosphere, a bit dark but good. Fast, friendly service and the food was served quickly. Price/performance completely ok. You should always reserve a table from 6 p.m., especially if there are several people.

Just wanted to have a beer. Unfortunately, the Polish staff did not come across as friendly or accommodating. You probably assume they won't come back anyway, It's a shame because the beer is world class.

As soon as we sat down, drinks were requested immediately - it was also the only time during the stay that drinks were requested. The food was ready remarkably quickly, and it was only after the drinks were ordered that we were informed that any beef dishes were “not possible”. There is a ban on dogs on the homepage, and several dogs were seen in the restaurant - we stupidly left ours at home, as you would be a previously informed guest. When asked, this was probably due to the website not being up to date. It's a nice idea to give the children pencils and coloring paper, but with mostly unsharpened pencils it's no more than a nice experiment. All in all, it's no longer a comfortable stay, but a pass-through of money-makers - but it's nice to look at, unchanged from years ago.

Update 2024: This time I was there for dinner too. My rating remains. Everything great! Always in here! 😁 We "just" went to the brewery in the early afternoon for a quick snack - and of course to try the Usedom beer. And I don't want to waste words: it's great! Even small dishes such as pretzels are freshly baked and served warm. The brewery's own beer is actually something special. Slightly tart and spicy, but without being too bitter, which is often the case with Nordic beers. The staff is young, funky, friendly and attentive. The rooms and sanitary facilities are very well maintained and clean. There is a beer garden sheltered from the wind and you can pay with cash or card.

Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Food is simply too expensive for this quality. By 4 p.m. there were already reserved signs on the tables everywhere. There were more staff than guests and the staff was also very loud. Were there a few years ago and were very satisfied at the time.

We're on a short vacation again in the Dreikaiserbäders and really wanted to visit the brewery in Heringsdorf - as always. Maybe we wanted to eat something and drink the delicious beer with it. Unfortunately, the staff seemed very snooty and arrogant this time. All in all, it wasn't a stay that you can or would like to recommend - a shame - we know it differently. We left the restaurant without eating anything.

The food is really scary. Killed half the chicken again, extremely dry! Fried potatoes very greasy. The schnitzel was edible but there was no salt and it wasn't crispy either. And if there is an award for the worst currywurst it goes here. Only the beer was delicious! And to top it all off, the waiter gave us a hard time because we criticized the food.

Service staff very unfriendly. We were seated, but apparently at the wrong table, so someone from the service staff loudly asked us in front of everyone how we could sit at this table. Afterwards he didn't say please or thank you anymore. We used to always like to come, but the service has deteriorated significantly in recent years. Solid cuisine in a nice atmosphere. Ambiance is what you can expect from a brewery. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. At first, depending on where you sit, you will be forgotten and if you make your presence known you will hear “that’s what my colleague is doing”. We received the second red wine in a champagne glass. When asked to pour the red wine into a red wine glass, the first waitress replied with a sparing look that it was a red wine glass. When we further inquired about the waitress in charge, we were told, along with another disparaging look, that it was a brewery that didn't stock enough red wine glasses. The bill was simply thrown onto the table without comment. Our tip was accordingly, for which we received another third frugal look.

The beer is great but now comes the big but. The price of the food is a disgrace Curry sausage with fried potatoes for over 15.- and that wasn't even good. Great location with delicious food and drinks. We would love to come back and reserve a table in advance. Great employees!!! Always have a solution ready and fulfill all wishes. Even if the whole restaurant is full, remain professional and friendly.

Nice service, delicious food, nice atmosphere

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes in reception until a waiter had time to assign us a table. Then the confusion continued. Drinks were not taken, which was technically wrong (my wife as the restaurant manager, I am a chef). After a waiter had time, we had to order drinks and food at the same time. Two normal-sized dishes were ordered and one for a small hunger. The portion of veal skin with mashed potatoes was simply ridiculous because the portion of baked potatoes with quark was twice as big for a small hunger. With the liver there was no decoration... that was a starter for me and not a main course. Reordering drinks and dessert was extremely difficult. The worst thing was that we told a waiter that we wanted to pay after about 30 minutes. There was still no one there. We had to calculate our food ourselves and then gave the money at the counter. You really notice that it's not a good idea to save on staff. I hope that the operator will give a statement on this.

People, people - what happened to you??? We were with you at Easter 2022 as always, but we haven't experienced anything like that in all these many years! No more motivation among the employees, no smiles and no fun, not even music in the background like that e.g. in the pub in Bansin - less on the plate despite the price increase - not everything can be excused with Corona and Ukraine!!! Entrepreneurial spirit is needed right now after relaxations in the catering industry have taken place. Regular live music should take place again and otherwise it should be like this a GEMA contribution location will not be a hurdle!!! In the meantime, time has passed and we now wanted to give the catering facility a chance at the beginning of October 2023. The staff was completely replaced, not unfriendly! Since a total of men were in charge on our evening, of different nationalities, there was a scandal - Colleagues shouted at each other and fought out their differences in front of all the guests. It's probably not possible!!! I don't want to just complain all the time, but the beer is now just for the drain!!! It just tastes sour!! It used to be sooo great🥲🥲🥲Now the update from October 5th, 2024: Food very tasty again and portions completely okay, brewery beer, well - it was much worse recently, will be again😃A big problem, however, is still the staffing. Certainly not easy to find staff who also enjoys the work🤷‍♂️It used to be better...(not everything)😃😃😃

Unique... a must-visit on the island of Usedom!

Were there on 9/28/24 Only got one of two reserved tables. Efforts on the part of the staff negative. We got a table for 6 with 8 people. The waitress (female Polish) only wanted to serve 6 people. After a long wait we were given a drink, but after that we were deliberately ignored. She was extremely unfriendly and since there were more than 6 of us, the lady refused to serve us and basically threw us out of the restaurant. The error was clearly the operator's fault and not ours. There will not be another visit with such incompetent and unfriendly staff. This behavior is and was unfriendly to customers and damaging to business because people keep telling people about it. From our situation there is no recommendation but only negative experiences.

Nice atmosphere, we ate there twice, the first time the schnitzel with mushroom sauce was really great, we ordered something else twice - just ok. Depends on what you order. I liked the beer.

Erster Besuch...sehr gut...2 Tage später nochmal sehr gut. Also ....alles I'm Allem....Lecker Bier, Essen positiv ūberrascht. Geschmacklich wie auch Preis Leistung Bewertung. Würde immer wieder das Brauhhaus besuchen......Service war ok...Hauptsache das leibliche Wohl ist gut versorgt.

Ein Besuch voller Enttäuschung 2 Tische reserviert und nur einen Bedienung sehr unfreundlich und frech. Keine Bemühungen seitens des Personals,und dann hat auch die blonde polnische Bedienung uns absichtlich ignoriert und die Bewirtung verweigert. Wir werden dieses Lokal definitiv nicht mehr betreten.

After our group had spent several thousand euros in this restaurant, we reserved a place for 8 people on September 28th, 2024, which was guaranteed to us days before by a friendly waitress. On that day we were only allocated a place for 6 people. You could see our reservation for 8 people on the usher's e-tablet. The entry was immediately deleted and with flimsy excuses we were given a place for 6 people. The female waiter responsible for us was extremely unmotivated, rude and only wanted to take an order for 6 people. She finally gave in and served the others too. After that she ignored the table. When more acquaintances approached the table, the lady became angry and verbally attacked the people and said that if we didn't like something, we should leave the restaurant. We wanted to comply with this and requested individual invoices. The woman then stated that she had asked one of us and he had agreed to a joint bill. Which is not true. She insisted on a bill for everyone and rudely asked us to pay immediately and leave. We were appalled by this vile treatment, paid and left. Something like that is an absolute “no go”. The brewery will never see us again!

Ordered 8-seater table two days ago. Promised. Only got a table of 6. But since there are eight, only six should be entertained. Ultimately we had unfriendly service (blonde with glasses, female). Totally a shame. We then left.

Wir kommen seit 12 Jahren und es war schön. Das Essen gut, leider die Bratkartoffeln wenig gut, es waren Stücke und nicht angebraten, kein Gewürz dran. Alles andere gut.

We've been sitting in the brewery for 50 minutes now and our food is a long time coming. We have to vacate our table at 6:00 p.m. I'm curious to see if this will happen. Actually got food shortly after my post. Everything was cold. Pan fish for €22.80 and veal liver for €18.00. See the photos and think about whether the meal was worth it. Service doesn't get a rating because I don't know where the delay occurred.

The staff were mostly unfriendly, the food didn't match the menu, every snack tasted better. Even the really good beer doesn't help anymore.

I'm very disappointed, I've always enjoyed going to the Brauhaus, I was looking forward to my knuckle, but what happened to us yesterday is just bad service, bad food. We came to the Brauhaus around 8 p.m. We weren't told that the kitchen was over, the waiter was happy to accept it We placed our order and brought us old, dry shit. All 4 dishes were so poorly prepared and cold. As a restaurant, people aren't allowed to give out something like that. The waiter didn't care about our criticism at all and then another €100 for this crap, never again

We were looking forward to a lovely evening in the brewery. We were disappointed with the food this time. The meat in all dishes was very dry. The knuckle was unseasoned, dry and the fried potatoes and sauerkraut were cold. My veal liver was fried to death. Meatloaf and roast pork weren't any better. The only plus point was that the food was taken off the bill Otherwise no reaction Too bad

Wir waren bei dem bayrischen Abend. Es war sehr lecker und gute Stimmung. Leider ist der Service etwas unselbstständig (man muss ihn öfter rufen zum Bestellen, man wird nicht gefragt wie das Essen war etc.). Zudem sollte man beachten dass die Buchung hier nur für 2 Stunden gilt, bei großen Veranstaltungen lohnt es sich also 2 Slots hintereinander zu reservieren. Das Essen ist sehr Lecker und die Portionen üppig.

We were at the brewery on Friday evening and luckily we had a reservation. It was very well attended. The beers are excellent, as is the food, schnitzel and panfish. The gentlemen in service in our area were very attentive, polite, we received excellent service. We were also there on Wednesday lunchtime, when a female service worker apparently completed her mission very confidently, alone. Great respect for how guests are treated in the brewery. Not a given. Many thanks to the entire team.

Every time, despite the hut being full, we were always warmly welcomed and quickly assigned a place. Really. We always enjoy going there... you really can't go wrong... except walking past it :)

Extreme handling of guests, annoyed waiters and overcrowded

Very good food. I had Königsberger Klopse perfect like mine at home. Fast service. And of course also very good beer.

After quite acceptable visits to other breweries while traveling, this is the low point. A botched reservation was followed by a rude reception from the staff. The increase was a knuckle with fried potatoes and sauerkraut. The dish was cold, the knuckle wasn't crispy, but it was extremely fatty. There was no reaction from the waiter. In this life there is no second chance for the brewery.

Our reservation couldn't be found and the young man at reception was extremely unfriendly. A place was found for us “gnädigerweide”. Unfortunately, it took some time until a drink order was possible. We ordered a knuckle and a burger. Unfortunately, both dishes arrived lukewarm. The knuckle was super fat and unfortunately the crust wasn't crispy. The burger tasted okay, the fries were baked way too long and were almost cold. Eating them with a fork = impossible. Ordering a second drink was just as difficult, even though many tables had now been turned away. Now we got the beer sooner - it was the super nice man from reception again! In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right. We definitely won't be coming here again. Luckily it was the first evening of our vacation. Things can actually only get better.

Very loud place, as always in a brewery. 90% of the food in our group was very good and sufficient; only the panfish was very little. A highlight is the Brauhaus schnitzel with this special breading. The service is great and the prices are reasonable and affordable. Only, the toilets are on the lower floor, steep long stairs, but there is an elevator (be careful, it's around the corner, you can't see it at first glance).

We waited a long time at the entrance and were ignored several times by the waitress 🤔 When we asked if we could sit at one of the numerous free tables, the answer was "stay there" and we started pouring beer... then left. 👋 Service and friendliness is different but maybe you won't need any more guests in September.

Ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Es gibt sehr leckeres Essen und man kann es nur empfehlen dort hinein zugehen und sich verköstigen zu lassen. Das mit genommen Bier schmeckt auch sehr lecker.
