We arrived on a Friday evening without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table right away. The service was exceptionally friendly. The drinks were delicious, and finally, our glasses were filled to the brim – something that's unfortunately not the case in many other restaurants. The food was very tasty and the portions were very generous. We'll definitely be back.

We stopped in on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised! International cuisine, delicious and generous portions! With an oriental touch and excellent food! We'll definitely be back!

Last week we spontaneously went to Sarah's for lunch. The restaurant was very empty, which surprised us a bit. But that meant we could choose the best spot by the window with a sea view. :-) Our Labrador got a bowl of water, and we had delicious drinks and incredibly tasty burgers. 😋

We greeted the staff member politely and asked if there was a table available for us; it was around lunchtime. We received a curt reply: "Choose your own seat," no greeting or anything like that. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very hospitable after that. The food was rather bland and barely seasoned. We won't be coming back here. We immediately canceled our reservation for the evening.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. Not exactly cheap, but adequate for the quality. Review after a return visit, 3 years later: We were there with three people and had falafel, pasta with chicken breast, and a minced meat dish. The pasta was OK, the falafel was overcooked, and the minced meat dish was unfortunately a complete disaster – there was no taste of any seasoning and the vegetables (only peppers) were still raw. The dish was returned – a replacement was not possible. The server's comment: "You were right – the food tastes like nothing. You're welcome to choose something else – for the same price or 1-2 euros more. That's OK." I then ordered a different dish for the same price. The wait was normal – I didn't get the impression that my dish was served any faster. My companion had already finished eating by the time I got my chicken breast. There was no apology, no free drink, or anything like that—and unfortunately, no tip either... All in all, it wasn't worth the price, and the service was poor in terms of handling complaints.

Considering that it was very full, the food came quite quickly... wine glasses were dirty, the food lukewarm and the pasta had the consistency as if it had been in the water for a while

I don't usually give reviews, but unfortunately, I have to leave one here. My 11-year-old daughter and I went to this restaurant because of the positive reviews. The food was delicious. The service, however, was completely awful. The restaurant was fairly busy at 3 p.m. in the afternoon, but the two waitresses didn't make much of an effort to serve the guests quickly and friendly. We waited about 20 minutes after receiving the menu to order. Our food sat under the heat lamp at the food counter for about 10 minutes, and we were already considering picking it up ourselves. And after I informed them that we would like to pay, the waitress preferred to go outside and leisurely smoke a cigarette until, after 20 minutes, we were finally able to pay. It's actually a real shame, because the restaurant is very nice and the kitchen puts a lot of effort into it.

The pinsa is sparsely topped and the garlic sauce was missing

We had burgers and fries. My grandson had fish sticks and fries. We've rarely had such good fries. We were absolutely thrilled with the food!

Good food and beer. The beef burger was top-notch. The pinsa was delicious. Friendly service. We waited 15 minutes for our meals. We managed to order in Polish.

Large portions and efficient service. Plenty of vegetarian options. All very tasty.

Food and drinks and service good

Worst salad dressing ever. We ordered two salads, one with herb vinaigrette and one with yogurt dressing. The salad contents were as described. The herb vinaigrette consisted of oil and herbs and was accordingly tasteless. The yogurt dressing was a mixture of remoulade and doner sauce and had no place on a salad, yet it was also completely tasteless. After repeatedly asking for vinegar or balsamic vinegar, we were given clear household vinegar, which, at least in our house, is only used for cleaning. In terms of ambiance, there are definitely better options on the promenade.

The menu seems to offer the entire Mediterranean at once—you don't even know where to begin. The food itself: rather mediocre. The salad was swimming in dressing and pretty run-of-the-mill. One pinsa had leaf spinach placed carelessly on top, the artichokes clearly came from a can, and the second pinsa with shrimp wasn't a highlight either. The prices for that... meh, just like the food. The service was a spectacle between a turbo-charged waitress on caffeine and a Zen master in chill mode. The chef, on the other hand, strutted past us without greeting—that's not exactly the kind of host mentality you'd expect. The whole thing was accompanied by music at club volume. If you're looking for Ibiza vibes with your salad, this is the place to go.

The food was already cold when it arrived at the table...far too few staff...and noisy. The potato pancakes, advertised as "homemade," looked very much like frozen goods.

Tourinap, the food (burgers, fries) was super dry, just convenience food. The service was unbearable and extremely rude, some even had their smoking apparatus in their hands while serving the food. One dish was delivered incorrectly and then arrived about 20 minutes after everyone had finished eating... The boss(?) at least had the decency to apologize, and that dish was on the house. But a second visit wasn't an option for us.

There were seven of us and we had to pre-order the day before, because even at the end of September, it's difficult for many people to get a table spontaneously without a reservation. The staff was super friendly and prompt. Lured by the fully booked restaurant, we were also full of expectations. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. The burgers... the chicken is battered, pressed meat... a total disaster... An absolute no-go for me these days... I'm not in a fast-food restaurant with the two golden arches... The meatballs... tasteless... the fries... soggy... all in all... yuck... The absolute highlight... prawns for €30!!!!!!! 1. Those were small shrimp...fishy...badly gutted...they still had intestines hanging off...disgusting...let's see how the night goes.... The minced meat...cafeteria food is often better...I'd say...gray, fat-faced vomit is more accurate...bland and tasteless...than a mush slapped onto a plate. But the cod...that was awesome... So out of 7 meals, 1 was very good, 1 edible (macaroni and cheese). 3 were worse than fast food...and let's not even talk about the rest... I'm really sorry...We definitely won't be back....What a shame!!

It's a shame you can only give 5 stars. We were here last night with our two dogs and received a very friendly welcome. Our dogs were even offered a water bowl each. The food was absolutely delicious! If I ever find myself in Ahlbeck again, this restaurant will be my first stop when my stomach starts rumbling 😋

Absolutely unsuitable for people who don't eat dead animals. Chicken is smuggled into the food advertised as vegan, and questions about it are met with indifference ("must be a mistake in the menu"). I don't recommend this place.

The food is labeled "vegan," and then you're served real meat! When the staff responds with a sneer: "Not vegan, mistake on the menu..." you seriously wonder what the service, the customer as a human being, is worth there. We paid for it anyway, but we'll never eat there again! So be careful when choosing from the menu! Vegan is not always vegan.

Absolutely great value for money! The portions are very large, you'll definitely be filling. I had the vegetarian burger. Unfortunately, the patty was so over-fried that I couldn't bite through it in places. Otherwise, it was delicious. The tatsiki plate as an appetizer is easily enough for two people. The ambiance inside is nice, although there's a bit of a cafeteria feel right next to the kitchen, which is visible. Also, in my opinion, the Cuban music didn't really fit the oriental-Mediterranean dishes or the restaurant's name. But that didn't bother me too much :-) We were here in the evening; there are plenty of tables in the large dining room, and there's no waiting time at all.

A wonderful restaurant with varied cuisine and friendly service. There's something for everyone: for lovers of German cuisine, vegetarians, and anyone who appreciates good Levantine cuisine.

Long waits for a menu, food, or bill (even though two-thirds of the restaurant is empty). Waiters are forgetful. The burger was bigger than the one at the fast-food chain McVitie's, but not really any better. The bun doesn't deserve its name. Only biscuits are crumblier... I've rarely had a burger that requires utensils for eating. The chicken patty is a round copy of the cheapest pressed meat nuggets from a discount store. 2 stars only because the fries and drinks weren't a disappointment. Absolutely overpriced for what you get.

Great for anyone on a gluten-free diet. They also offer gluten-free burgers, for example. Yes...the burger buns aren't always well-toasted, but that's tolerable...Unfortunately, the staff is only moderately motivated, so you can easily get ignored for a while—and this happens to me almost all the time!—and the place doesn't even have to be full for that to happen...and unfortunately, they're not particularly friendly either...but the location is great and the menu is good.

The food wasn't as advertised on the menu. The salmon with potatoes and vegetables only came with half a small potato. For the prices they charge, the food should be a bit better. (Especially in a resort area.) The dessert was also incomplete; the cream was missing, and they claimed to have honey on it. After tasting it, they still couldn't find any honey.

Service was friendly, and you could at least pay by card. But the quality of the food (meat pan) was rather mediocre. The value for money was rather poor.

The ambiance is more modern, not as oriental as you'd imagine, but still a nice setting. The service is good but sometimes a bit sloppy; first the cutlery was missing, and then the noodles were cold. The waitresses nevertheless tried their best to continue the culinary experience, bringing the cutlery and reheating the noodles. The food was very tasty, perfectly seasoned, and a 10/10 culinary score.

Hello, the service is really very good. No long waits. The staff is very friendly, but there are few vegan dishes. Allergens are also poorly labeled. Egg pasta isn't necessary, and if so, please state them explicitly. An oriental burger with brioche. Upon request, it wasn't available with any other bun. A bit weak these days. This bun contains eggs and milk. If vegan means you can eat fries, then that's a poor idea.

We were here for lunch today and really enjoyed the large vegan menu. We opted for the okra dish and the spinach and sweet potato rice dish. The food tasted okay, but we couldn't help but notice that it was generously flavored with garlic. So now we know Sarah's secret: it's garlic. We might come back and try the pinsa. The service was very friendly, and we had a sea view 👍

The daily special, pasta with chanterelles, was unfortunately somewhat lacking in flavor, but the other dishes, such as the Egyptian bean dish, were very tasty. Unfortunately, the dishes were already cold when served, which was a real shame, so it loses points. And even though the bean soup was tasty, I think it's overpriced; my expectations were simply higher. Very nice location right on the beach and friendly service.

For those with celiac disease, there are pasta, pizza, and burgers. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The food was delicious. There was something for the kids to color. We'll be back on our next vacation.

First, the positive: the drinks were well chilled. We ordered burgers, the advertised chicken, but they didn't have much to do with chicken. The service was very stressed and unfriendly. Some structure would do the restaurant and its staff good.

The food etc. is fine. I didn't get the lava plate as promised and there was also a long black hair in my food, but I'm not the type of person who feels like the whole meal is ruined by something like that. What I didn't think was okay at all was waiting an hour for the food. After 45 minutes of waiting, I went to the bathroom only to find that our food was ready, but the waiter was talking to the bartender. There weren't many customers, but the wait was still incredibly long. Some customers even left after 15 minutes because they didn't even get a menu.

We tried the cocktails to go there. Super tasty, great value for money, and the staff very friendly and attentive.

We were recommended this restaurant because they cater to people with intolerances. My son ordered a gluten-free burger with two different types of meat. When it arrived, the chicken was breaded and therefore inedible for him. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she just said grumpily that we should have noticed too, as it said so on the menu. But there is no mention of breading on the menu. She took the burger away and brought us the same burger with the chicken removed and replaced with a second piece of beef. An absolute no-go for someone with celiac disease because there are crumbs everywhere. So my son just ate the fries, which were by then cold. We definitely cannot recommend it to anyone who actually has to follow a gluten-free diet.

We went to Sarah's Mediterranean Secrets. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed. The service was rather inattentive and not particularly friendly. The interior unfortunately feels more like a cafeteria, while sitting outside looks much more appealing. The food was, unfortunately, only mediocre overall—nothing truly bad, but also nothing we'd remember positively. We wouldn't go back again.

Unfriendly service. After we sat down and ordered, we had to wait a very long time for our food. Our neighbors at the other tables (who ordered after us) had the same experience, but they got their food relatively quickly and before us. We had to wait about 40 minutes for our food (we really didn't have anything particularly ordinary). And it was lukewarm, too. What a shame :(

Everything was too hectic and seemed uncoordinated. You were practically forced to leave at the end to free up your table for the next person. The food was okay, but nothing more.

We've been here three times. There's a coloring sheet for the kids, which also serves as the menu. The food is varied and delicious. A very nice restaurant with a large and varied menu – there's something for every taste. Despite the high volume of guests, the staff was always friendly, attentive, and helpful. We felt completely at home and would gladly return.

Nice informal place where to stop and have a meal after some hours spent at the beach. Spaghetti with scampi were good and the pinsa was also very delicious! Some of the waitress speak Polish and or English.

Expect long waits. The food is rather subpar. For example, our spaghetti aglio e olio was literally drowned in oil, making it inedible. The rest of the food was simply not worth the price; it was dry and rather tasteless. The drinks, both sodas and mixed drinks, were far too sweet. The two stars are solely for the friendly service. You can save yourself a visit here.

Today we had a barbecue burger with sweet potato fries and a daily special (spaghetti with chanterelle mushrooms in cream sauce). The burger bun was extremely dry, and the "grilled pepperoni" was unfortunately just jalapeno slices. The pasta was tasty, but unfortunately lacked salt. A nice dip for the sweet potato fries would have been nice.

A varied menu that offers a good change from the other restaurants here. The food was very good. The portions were a good size. We were pleasantly full, without being overindulgent. Good value for money for a prime spot in Ahlbeck. The ambiance is oriental-inspired, with a very nice interior. Our waiter gave us a friendly, delighted smile when we praised the variety on the menu. I got the impression that he enjoys his job and is genuinely pleased when guests feel comfortable. 100% satisfied. Thank you. We'd be happy to come back. - We ate here again yesterday. I was assigned a seat without having to reserve. The staff was very friendly. Drinks and food arrived within a perfectly normal wait time. The three pinsa were very good, both visually and tasted great. Many thanks to the friendly server for the tip on the dough! I'll give it a try.

However, the waiter immediately became rude due to a minor misunderstanding. Outside, he took us to a table with a wet chair but made no attempt to dry it. I had to find a dry place to sit myself. Later, a plate I had ordered was simply forgotten. Overall, rude and unhelpful service. Very disappointing.

Three of us visited Sarah's Mediterranean Restaurant in Ahlbeck and ate inside. The location, right on the promenade, is beautiful, but, like almost everywhere in the area, there are few parking spaces nearby. The ambiance in the restaurant is quiet and pleasant: small tables, colorful chairs, gray and red walls, and some subtle background music. It wasn't very busy that evening, so the wait for the food was pleasantly short. For starters, we shared six small pieces of bruschetta, which were well-seasoned and enjoyed by everyone. For main courses, we ordered okra, a burger with fries, and a Mediterranean pan of kosher, with tomato sauce and garlic oil served separately—a nice idea. Unfortunately, all the main courses lacked the wow factor. The flavor was overall rather bland, which is a shame for a Mediterranean restaurant, as you'd expect more flavors here. For dessert, we had the Basbousa cake with cream. It tasted okay, but a bit too dry for our taste, especially compared to what we're used to in Syrian households. We paid €80 for everything, including a large Coke and a bottle of water. Considering the location right on the promenade, the value for money is decent. Conclusion: Friendly service, nice ambiance, but overall, the taste was unfortunately not convincing. For us, this will remain a one-time visit.

We were initially forgotten and had to make ourselves known so we could be served. It took a while for our drinks to arrive, and even longer for the food to arrive. It was, however, very, very tasty, and we were glad to have something different on the table than what we usually get in Ahlbeck restaurants. The location is top-notch, and the ambiance is just right.

If you've always dreamed of searching for a cold lump of meat between two soggy buns, wondering which missing ingredients didn't make it onto your burger, then you've come to the right place! After a wait that nearly left me starving (which probably would have been the better option), this culinary fiasco was finally served to me. A real treat – for anyone who loves culinary self-flagellation.

I do not recommend it, just walk in🤦‍♀️, the smell was off-putting, the staff was uninterested in the customer. At our request, the table was wiped (with one cloth for the table and chairs!!!) and then, without waiting for service, we left the restaurant.

The ambiance is very nice, located right on the promenade. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious. My child had macaroni casserole, and I had Arabian Nights rice. Both were delicious. Unfortunately, my husband had a bit of bad luck with his fish (salmon), as the second piece wasn't cooked well. When the waitress noticed this, she apologized several times and, of her own accord, accommodated us.

Based on the positive reviews, we spontaneously decided to have dinner at this restaurant. The service was the worst we've ever experienced in a restaurant. We had to wait a long time for a menu. Other customers were seated at a table with a card and were allowed to order drinks straight away. We sat right next to them, and no one even noticed us. The food (pinsa) wasn't seasoned at all and unfortunately tasted like a frozen pinsa. The chicken with potatoes was OK, nothing outstanding, but the prices were steep. We noticed that other customers had to wait forever outside before they were even shown to a table by the four employees, and the restaurant wasn't even half full. There was no communication between the employees. We absolutely cannot recommend it. It's a shame.

Unfortunately, the salmon fillet I ordered wasn't cooked through. That's why I only gave it 3 stars. The waitress was very nice and apologized three times before bringing us a Ramazzotti on the house.

I'm disappointed and shocked. The wait times were extremely long, even for drinks and appetizers. The service was poor. While the food was good—I had fish soup and spaghetti with scampi—it was very indigestible. I spent the entire night after that dinner with severe gastrointestinal issues and considered calling an ambulance. I only felt better once everything was out. If your health is important to you, don't eat there!

A great restaurant with very friendly staff and a wide variety of delicious food, whether meat or vegan, there's something for everyone. The "Massiv Burger" (with beef and chicken), the sweet potato fries, and the koshari (vegan - rice, lentils, chickpeas, and noodles) were also very tasty. We highly recommend Sarah's Mediterranean restaurant with its great atmosphere.

We went here for dinner today. It was very crowded, and in our opinion the staff were extremely hectic and overwhelmed. The young waiter tried to clear my plate while I was still eating, which was completely unacceptable. The Classic Hamburger reminded me of McDonald's quality. We certainly won't be eating there again for the rest of our vacation, despite the great location.

The dishes were dirty, one glass was sticky, and the rim didn't look particularly appetizing. The food was subpar. The poorly presented salad consisted of about 95% leaf lettuce. It's a shame. Improvements should definitely be made to return to the old standard.
