We tried the “Unhold” a few days ago. What we really liked was the service. He was friendly, humorous and brought a nice atmosphere to the table. The food arrived quickly, special requests were implemented, and we felt well looked after. The food is very clearly described and embellished in the menu. That may sound good and some people will probably like it too. For us it complicated the choice. The beef of... Ultimately it turns out to be goulash with mashed potatoes. Here is also our biggest negative criticism point. The meat in the dish was on the dry or tough side. Without the sauce it wouldn't be a special culinary experience. The sauce saved it a bit, but the mashed potatoes didn't really improve it to a result that corresponded to expectations. This one was too pulpy and not a revelation. (Looked nice, tasted ordinary.) There was also a blob of vegetable paste. However, I asked myself whether it should be served with the potatoes or with what already has sauce. So, like the mashed potatoes, it didn't really fit into the picture. Ultimately, it became clear to us, especially with this dish, that the price-performance ratio was pretty bad. It didn't taste fancy or good enough, nor was the portion adequate in terms of quantity or price. Very unfortunate. We liked the waffle burger better, but it wasn't much for a lot. Both in terms of taste and quantity. The side salad was actually the highlight as it was served with an interesting raspberry dressing. Our overall impression therefore remains disappointing, although there were things that we liked. Especially due to the language of the menu and the price, we had high expectations, which unfortunately the food could not live up to.

The monster is very inconspicuous from the outside although it has no reason to hide. A simple and art-oriented interior suggests that the focus is on the food. The service ladies were always present and in a very good mood, even though the dining room was completely booked. We had the full program from the aperitif to the digistif and there was also something to eat in between. Everything was beautifully prepared, delicate in taste, subtly seasoned, surprisingly combined and exclusively handmade. Price and performance are absolutely balanced here. We had a very nice evening and the fiend deserved every cent. A pearl at Humboldtstrasse 136, this is where the show takes place on a plate.

Super delicious food, unusual combinations, vegetarian and vegan dishes leave nothing missing. Round, balanced dishes, enjoyable, not filling portions. Mushroom lovers will get their money’s worth here! Very nice, unobtrusive staff and a kitchen that prepares freshly and not pre-cooked food on a plate, so you wait longer than in a canteen... To take a little wind out of the previous speaker's sails 😉 Acoustically it could be a little better, but the furnishings have their own style and signature, well done! I'll be back!

The food is great, the people who work here are also an absolute dream :) very sweet, courteous, charming and funny! We found the portions a bit small, which is why we ordered two main courses for each of us in order to be completely full. That's pretty empty on your wallet... on the other hand, the focus here is on regional food, which of course has its price. Still definitely recommended :) we probably have infinitely long stomachs :D Many thanks to the chef and team for the great evening <3!!

Found it by mistake, but it was one of the best mistakes I ever made. The main food and dessert was absolutely amazing, cheers to the chef. The ambiance was very pleasant and intimate and the waiter was really polite and gladly translated the menu to us. Overall, a top experience.

Super delicious food. Handwritten menu with changing dishes. The wild boar ragout was perfectly seasoned, but the mashed potatoes were unfortunately very lightly seasoned. A matter of taste. The celery schnitzel was also absolutely top! Unfortunately the portions were very small. Didn't have a starter. That's why I wasn't full. That's a shame for €30 for a main course. Therefore “only” 4 stars. Otherwise: great service, super nice staff, creative drinks and very nice interior. I will gladly come again.

It tasted super tasty, creative and very interesting :-) Since Bremen is unfortunately more of a culinary desert, the Unhold is an absolute eye-catcher and a taster, great!!! Very nice and lovely staff - relaxed and in a good mood despite the full shop. Had a waffle burger with mushroom, there could have been a little more on the plate, but the taste was great, as was the winter vegetable starter, fantastically tasty. You might want to consult an interior designer about the acoustics, because there is a lot of noise...still the best restaurant visit in Bremen, ever! Thank you very much :-)

Very nice restaurant in the center of Bremen, and the best I have been to during a short stay in this city. The dishes are original and tasty, the welcome adorable, and the place pleasant. On the menu were vegetable soup, a waffle burger, and tiramisu for dessert. For homemade dishes with local ingredients (which can be hard to find), the quality/price ratio is simply excellent. In short: recommended.

Wir waren in einer großen Gruppe und haben uns einmal durch die gesamte Speisekarte gegessen. Und das Ambiente ist eine Klasse für sich. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ich war gestern zum ersten Mal und sicherlich nicht zum letzten Mal da. Die Speisekarte ist klein und fein. Habe mir ein drei Gänge Menü zusammen gestellt aus Französischer Zwiebelsuppe, Käsespätzle und als Dessert Tiramisu. Alles wirkte selbstgemacht. Die Zwiebelsuppe war die leckerste, die ich in einem Restaurant bisher gegessen habe. Bei meiner Begleitung durfte ich den Rosenkohl probieren, sehr lecker, dabei mag ich eigentlich keinen Rosenkohl. Mit dem Service war ich sehr zufrieden. Obwohl der Laden voll war und die Servicekräfte ordentlich rotieren mussten, waren alle sehr freundlich, lieb und aufmerksam. Leider gab es keine Cola Zero/light, aber mir wurden gute Alternativen wie Schorle oder Wasser angeboten.

Auf Empfehlung bin ich aus Bremerhaven ins Viertel zum Restaurant Unhold und war ganz angetan von diesem süßen Restaurant. Zur Vorspeise hatte ich den Rosenkohl und die Kellnerin beschrieb mir die Schärfe der Chilli Cheese Sauce exakt, weil ich es so scharf nicht mag. Danke dafür. Zum Hauptgericht hatte ich den Waffelburger. Gelungen muss ich sagen. Tolles Fleisch und wunderbar abgestimmt insgesamt der Geschmack. Das Desert war einfach zum reinlegen. Mousse au Chocolat und Panna Cotta. Herrlich lecker. Ich komme ganz bald wieder.

Ich wundere mich etwas über die letzten beiden Bewertungen, denn ich war gestern auch im Unhold und hatte einen sehr schönen Abend! Wir haben zwar mitbekommen, dass es an einem Tisch etwas Diskussionen und Unzufriedenheit gab, aber deswegen gleich 2 richtig miese Bewertungen abzugeben, ich weiß ja nicht… Ja, es gab nicht mehr alle Gerichte (was ja vielleicht auch ein Zeichen von Frische ist?) und es mag auch etwas wuselig zugegangen sein, dennoch war der Service immer sehr aufmerksam und gut – so haben wir es zumindest erlebt. Das Essen war hervorragend und wir haben einen tollen Abend verbracht. Ich bin sehr froh, dass es noch Läden wie diesen gibt, die Wert auf regionale und saisonale Angebote legen und nicht den häufig anzutreffenden Convenient-Kram anbieten. Und vor allem gab es etwas veganes auf der Karte, was leider auch immer noch nicht selbstverständlich ist. Für mich ist das Restaurant absolut empfehlenswert und ein echtes Stück Viertel-Kultur!

Wir waren schwer beeindruckt von der Qualität der Speisen. Das war grandios und in dieser Qualität einfach nur herausragend. Und wir haben schon viel gesehen! Respekt und Anerkennung. Für uns ein Highlight der Gastro Szene in Bremen, die wir so selten dort erlebt haben . Wir waren garantiert nicht zum letzten Mal im Unhold!

Tolles Essen mit vegetarischen und veganen Alternativen.

Sehr leckeres, besonderes Essen, welches sich von anderen Restaurants in Qualität und Kreativität unterscheidet. Das man dies auch in Form von etwas teureren Preisen bezahlt, ist verständlich. Ich würde mir jedoch, wie auch in anderen Rezensionen angemerkt wird, größere Portionen wünschen. Ich bin von meinem vegetarischen Gericht (trotz Vorspeise) leider nicht satt geworden.

Das Essen war grandios, geschmacklich wirklich besonders. Der Service war sehr sympathisch und sehr entspannt, da kann es noch ein wenig zügiger ablaufen.

Wir waren gestern da und hatten ein überaus leckeres Essen. Gaumenfreude pur und ich komme alsbald wieder. Das ist sicher! Besonderes Ambiente, außerordentlich nettes Personal, Haupt- und Nachspeise ein Genuss. Was mich persönlich noch freuen würde, ein kleiner Abriss der Entstehungsgeschichte des Restaurants bei der Speisekarte mit anbei. Danke und bis bald!

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Abend mit dort verbracht. Das Essen war toll und auch ansonsten ein Ort zum wohl fühlen.

Leckere aber völlig überteuerte Miniportionen. Lose Stromkabel und Stricke, die von der Decke hängen und Omas alte Vorhänge an den Wänden machen die Atmosphäre nicht unbedingt gemütlich. Das Personal ist allerdings freundlich.

Krosse Kartoffeln waren nicht kross, ansonsten extrem leckerer Salat und super freundliche und bemühte Bedienungen. Einrichtung etwas karg.

Sehr, sehr gutes Restaurant. Wir haben dort als Familie auf der Urlaubsrückreise gegessen und waren wirklich beeindruckt von der Qualität und Kreativität der leckeren Speisen. Leider liegt es nicht in unserer Nähe, ansonsten wären wir sicherlich Stammgäste dort.

Ein unglaublich nettes Lokal! Definitiv keine 0815 Speisekarte, sondern ganz im Gegenteil ist die Auswahl der Speisen kreativ und modern- ohne dabei wie ein üblicher Hipsterladen zu wirken. Zudem ist das Personal ausgesprochen höflich und zugewandt und trägt wesentlich zu der schönen Atmosphäre der Lokalität bei. Man kann hier einen rundum gemütlichen Abend verbringen 😊
