Currywurst with cold Heinz ketchup from the bottle, potato soup from the Erasco can! warmed up, just bad and for these prices!

Today we went to the Alsterhaus for the first time in a long time. We decided to have a coffee in the restaurant, as it's a lovely place to sit and look out over the Alster. Then we saw three mice (!) running around. When we explained this to the cashier, they told us they were aware of it and wanted to change it. Now I'm reading that it's apparently been known for a long time, and I find that quite cheeky and strange. What a shame!

A birthday party was ahead of us and had ordered 15 portions of fries. We waited patiently behind them. Just before they finished and it was our turn, the "nice" lady said, "You can say something, please order!" Then we ordered and received our chicken nuggets and currywurst with fries. On the way to our table, we noticed that we only got one sauce instead of two for our two portions of nuggets...oh well, these things happen, no big deal. What was worse: there was no more cutlery. So we went back to the "nice" lady and asked for cutlery. She said, "There isn't any right now" (oh, really?), and then gave us two cake forks for three people. I asked for a knife to cut my currywurst, and she said, "You'll have to wait until he's finished washing up." Right. So I was sold a currywurst and fries for more than €10, but they couldn't give me cutlery or tell me when, because I wasn't told who "he" was or when he had finished washing up.

After the completely overwhelmed waiter ignored us inside for about 30 minutes, and the dishes from the previous diners were still there, we decided to order something outside at the counter due to acute hunger. There were five gossipy people standing in the kitchen, and it seemed like none of them had anything to do except gossip. We were then reluctantly "served." An extremely grumpy employee first took my friend's order, prepared it, and asked her if she didn't want "sour cream" on her country potatoes. After asking three times and receiving even more obnoxious answers, I realized that the employee in question might mean "sour cream." Then she wanted to take the payment, and I said I'd like a currywurst. After a long sigh, she reluctantly prepared it and took the money. Conclusion: If you can't do anything else, don't go to this restaurant. The staff is absolutely unfriendly, overwhelmed, and poorly selected!
