Two Trick Pony in Berlin

We went to this brunch spot on an autumnal Friday morning. The service was excellent, friendly and quick. We were here for the second time this year and love the varied dishes and changing menus. Everything was very tasty, great components - a real taste experience and finally something different than the usual avocado bread!

Thank you for offering gluten free sourdough from AERA bakery as a substitute on all the menu items, though the € 2.20 surcharge does seem a bit steep.

Very, very nice and cheerful staff, the food was great! The bread with burrata and roasted nectarines with chili honey was great! You got a table quickly, unfortunately it's a bit noisy inside because of the busy bar. But great to sit outside!

Sunny brunch place that gets quite crowded, especially in the opening time. The food is good. In particular the cheese toast is better than other places thanks to the type of cheeses and the addition of smoked ham. Staff is efficient and the price is a bit steep but the portions are good. Card payments accepted.

Perfect spot for a sunny (or cloudy for that matter) breakfast. menu is creative and diverse. let’s of options for all kinds of eaters. very kid and dog friendly! If you are there in the fall, make sure to try to chard. It’s to die for. Will come back again and again. Cherry on top was the great service. Only downside is that I had to choose one plate! (no laptops)

Essen okay, aber nicht überzeugend. Zwei pochierte Eier mit großer Scheibe Brot mit Topping für 17€. Leider waren es nur lauwarm-kalt. Innen sehr laut und leider wenig gemütlich.

Two Trick Pony will always be my favorite place to get brunch. The dirty chai 👌🏼 and also Eggs and Rye. Multifaceted food that satisfies every cell in my body.

Toast with roasted peach, stracciatella and chili honey was top notch. Service was attentive and fast, and though it was very crowded, the waiting system was efficient and reassuring. Interesting drinks as well - I recommend the celery one.

Great breakfast... Truly sensational. When the weather is good, you can sit outside on Bergmann Street. Be sure to note: it's busy because it's so good, so make a reservation. Attention: Laptops are forbidden, I think that's great! Try!!!

Coffee was good. Food was good. Service was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and nice to talk to. Food was a bit expensive though. The vibe inside is very pleasant but also nothing special. Overall, I wasn’t blown away but I would happily go back to this cafe. I should mention, the courgette and walnut loaf was amazing. Like, that was totally the highlight for me.

A wonderful place with amazing (above average tasty) brunch and exceptional service - so rare in Berlin! The waiting time was not bad, the servers were extremely well organized and friendly. I will definitely return ❤️ PS please try the filter coffee - it was so good!

One of the best places in Kreuzberg for breakfast and or sweet snacks (of course only to go at the moment). Modern British cuisine with vegan/vegetarian alternatives. Not cheap, but very high quality.

I've been there many times and i love it, food is delicious and service on point but yesterday i had a horrible food poison after eating the tuna toast, i spent hours vomiting and had to even call an ambulance because i couldn't move, maybe be careful this week with that dish!

Particularly rude and arrogant. Even if they are empty they really don't want customers who say wish to order a coffee instead of a full breakfast.

Very nice, polite and friendly service! Everything tastes very good! The only problem I had was the portion size! I ordered “tomato tonnato” and it brought me nowhere close to feeling full, so I had to order a Müsli. Well they tasted great, but maybe some more of the tuna paste would have been perfect. Update: in a second visit to the place, I got to try amazing 2 dishes!

The food is really delicious! Tastes great and very nicely prepared. The ambience and service are also great, but I think the prices are too steep. A slice of sourdough bread with a few tomatoes and tonnato for just under €18 is really very expensive. For two people you should expect to pay around €50.

Very tasty breakfast. We had the poached eggs on rye bread and the eggs chana masala. Both were very good. The eggs chana masala were savory but not too spicy for my palate. A dab of yoghurt would have been nice to temper the situation. Otherwise there is good coffee, fabulous freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious, strong peppermint tea. We will be back!

Best brunch spot in Bergmannkiez! Super nice service and great dishes. You cannot reserve in advance. But if you don't want to wait, leave your phone number, go for a walk through the neighborhood and be called back as soon as the table is ready!

Where to have a very good quality brunch

Super organised and nice staff for such a crowded place. We were very impressed by the drinks option and wanted to try everything ! The big plus for me is the gluten free sourdough bread option, which is so important for so many people but actually rarely available.

Well organised, a place that employs enough staff that know what they’re doing is rare in Berlins brunch scene. Enjoyed my slightly unusual Caesar salad made with cabbage - great flavours but I missed the crunch

If you don't eat anything, you will be turned away. Tables are only for people who are having brunch. Strong for a café where people actually drink coffee. But the store seems to be doing well when it doesn't have to rely on guests.

I couldn't believe how incredibly boring the menu was. Typical hipster overpriced brunch place. Service was very good.

Five stars for their new dish Tomato Tonnato and their service. Another dish we tried was alright but the Tomato Tonnato is absolutely sublime!

A VERY popular place among english speaking tourists. Service was wonderful, also the coffee was excellent. The food, on other hand... and for this price... Still need a touch of love and sincerity.

Really nice brunch spot that offers creative breakfast plates that are worth the price point. The coffee and juice options are also top notch (Kombucha, Lemonade etc.) plus the location is just nicely situated in a quiet area of Bergmannkiez. Staff is friendly but super slow - especially when it gets a little crowded.

Nice food, nice outside seating... ... and very nice service(s). Don't come at 10 a.m. on the weekend, come during the week and better at 12 p.m. or 2 p.m.. no line.

We visited Two Trick Pony on a rainy Saturday morning and were immediately drawn in by the cozy vibe. The welcoming people enhanced our experience. The food was delicious, with unique flavors that set it apart from regular breakfast spots. We will definitely be returning!

Exceptional food and amazing staff, we stopped in for a late brunch and the food was better than I could have expected. The big breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. All our meals were delicious. I highly recommend and will definitely return here. Do not miss this if you’re in Berlin.

Food is ok. Imho overpriced. It took more than 1 hour for the food to arrive. There is only one bathroom, which seems illegal for the size of the place.

Even with the massive number of places that serve brunch in Berlin, this place in Bergmannkiez is maybe my top 3 brunch venues in all of the city. This opinion is not unique, and so as a result, it is extremely busy, especially on a Sunday. The long queues outside might put you off, but please have some patience, and be assured it is worth the wait. They have a very effective and efficient waiting list system in place, maybe the best in all of Berlin, and the waiting times are not that bad. For example, we were 8th in the list for 2 people, and we only waited maybe 20 minutes. Once sat down. The service is right at the top of the tree, and some much more expensive establishments in Berlin could take note here. The food and coffees are of an equally high standard. The cappuccino was excellent, and the Big Breakfast (should be renamed Very Big.....) was probably my favourite breakfast anywhere. Not super cheap, as it was €55 for 2 people for 2 mains and 2 coffees, but quality like this does not now or has ever been cheap I am afraid. WiFi is great, and although I have not been there in the week, it may be less busy and would be a great place to chill for a while. Cannot recommend this enough.

Sadly this place is way overhyped, overpriced and overprofessionalised. In short, 3different breakfast: Egg mangold Sardine Cale Großes Frückstück (engl. breakfast) + drinks No one finished. 80 euros Staff was observing permanently to speed the experience up. To much salt, to much hype. Sorry not to have better news

Really chill place with friendly staff. None of the items on the menu really fit my taste buds, but my friend had the English breakfast and said it was good. I would say def check the menu before as their creations are definitely more unique which could be a hit or miss. Coffee was great though Been back in 2024. Menu is pretty nice but it’s pretty pricey for Berlin

O U T S T A N D I N G ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ok so here I go again about how fortunate I am to be an international traveller / DJ performer - but this is how I can write about comparisons on a more global level and honestly this place is truly one of the best on the planet according to my experiences so far. Mind blowing food, very nice and attentive staff and super chilled crowd of folk. If you’re in Berlin this is the place to go for a ridiculously yum food.. look no further seriously booyaka !!!!

We were Eight ladies on a city break in berlin, this Gem was recommended to us and it did not disappoint - we are so happy we ate there, the food was fresh and delicious a beautiful fusion of ingredients - all in all a very enjoyable brunch followed by Mimosas. I have no hesitation in recommending Two Trick Pony, the food is excellent, the staff were so friendly and attentive, and I will definitely be back.

A really great place. We were welcomed very friendly. The staff is very polite, attentive and works quickly. The dishes are fresh and taste very good. The portions are sufficient :) Overall, we felt very comfortable and will be back soon.

Better than what you normally get at breakfast places

The food is a good portion for the price. I loved the oats, a bit sweet sour! But my friends didn't loved their dishes (mushrooms specifically) but I would recommend trying. The service was sympathetic and there are free spaces inside if you don't mind, most of the queues are to sit outside!

Nothing special, the green asparagus was stringy, the mustard on the sandwich killed the taste of the rest of the ingredients. Prices high.

The food is absolutely recommended, very tasty! We were warmly welcomed and didn't have to wait long. The bread with chard and poached eggs was amazing.

The food was good, but overpriced. The service was great even if super crowded. Mind the time you might need to wait (which is not the service,s fault, it is just popular). Some vegan and gluten free options.

Amazing breakfast and brunch options, not just the usual stuff you find everywhere, and also healthy, gluten free and low carb options available which is so important :) and service is always super friendly, just a nice atmosphere. But maybe come during the week to avoid the crazy queues....

A bit overrated. Breakfast was ok, freshly made. Portion of beans too much, egg a bit small, mushrooms not very tasty. Bread very good. Ambience a bit worn, table top sticky. Quite expensive. 50 € for two people.

We've been there twice already. The staff and the kitchen have been very good so far… Today we just wanted to sit outside for a quick coffee and cake in the morning. We were actually informed that it was not desired and that a seat would only be given in conjunction with eating. We were actually speechless because we had been waiting for a seat for 15 minutes. Sitting us down and making us stand up again was very unpleasant and unprofessional. It's a shame because I think I definitely won't visit or recommend it again. 👎🏼🫰🏻

This is, in my opinion, the best brunch place in Berlin for various reasons. I'm here at least once a month, depending on the season. The food is both classic and inventive, they struck gold with whoever the chef is. 2-3 slots on the menu are seasonal so you always get something new. Seasoning & use of herbs is always on point. They've got me swarming over their roasted cabbage ceasar in a way i never thought was possible to do over friggin cabbage. They also have really good waitlist management - you put you name & phone number down and they send you a text when your table is ready. This means you can take a walk around the area (or the cemetery in front - i know it sounds weird but it's quite beautiful) instead of having to wait around til your name is called. I have rarely waited longer than 30min (for two people) and once you're seated the food never takes long.

I tried the store because of the good reviews, which I absolutely cannot understand! 13€ for a vegan salty little porridge?! Oatmeal doesn't cost anything, why the stinginess? But well, the small portion would have been a shame if it had been tasty. The cappuccino was also salty, totally runny and cold! Filter coffee for €3.50?! Togo was ordered by a friend and poured down after a sip. Never had such bad coffee & porridge and that for 5 star hotel prices. The spoons are also a disaster, as if you were pushing a shovel into your mouth, way too wide, very strange, and then had to continue eating with a coffee spoon. And the bill was only brought AFTER I paid??? We said we would pay in cash and would like the printed bill - but the waiter wanted to collect first without a bill. The store also doesn't look nice and I didn't use the toilet because it was totally dirty and smelled. A total disaster the entire store service food coffee toilet just everything.

Food is delicious if a little on the expensive side. Be prepared to queue on weekends but service is friendly & have a waiting area. 90 minutes for brunch is more than enough having lived in London where this is common so not an issue at all.

The best breakfast we've had in Berlin. W'vee had a big English breakfast which was really good but my roasted Hispi cabbage was top 👌🏻 Still cannot understand that this combination of ingredients could create such a harmony in my mouth 🤤 well done! 🐴

Everything was perfect. Easy to go there. I experienced first breakfast in Berlin. Breakfast table was awesome. Prices are normal. People are so nice and helpful, they are best worker in Berlin. And the place is almost full but we found place to sit easily. Near of place is so good as well. Thanks a lot and I will visit again when i visit Berlin again.

Very friendly staff. even though there was a waiting list (weekend) I got very fast a table. I had the Chargrilled Hispi Cabbage Caesar and „oh my“ I even wanted to lick the plate. the combination of flavours and textures was amazing 🤩. Will be back for sure

Brunch paradise 🩷 The place & staff have great energy, they are super kind : open : positive and go the extra mile to provide a memorable experience. I appreciate the short seasonal food menu. Anything you choose will have personality! They don’t do reservations, but they have a great system and really take care of everyone on arrival. Lots of people bring their dogs. They bake special dog biscuits for them 🐶 love (Please taste the Smokey Chai)

Holy wow! Ten trick pony here! Outstanding, just look at this meal! Bonus, they don't charge for water. Excellent English service too.

We had a breakfast on Wednesday as a group of four and at 10 o‘clock the place was half full, around 12 as we left was full. No reservations. We had scrambled eggs with herbs, poached eggs with chard and masala chickpeas, all very very good with many ingredients. Maybe the chickpea thing was a little bit more normal. Good portions, big, but not a killer. Smoky chai latte was interesting but certainly not for everyone. This place is surprisingly loud and we found the fast music unnecessary.

So delicious! Small, manageable menu with very fine creations… Unfortunately a bit too expensive.

The Brunch was very good, they have some different/unusual dishes in their menu, but it is super worth trying. When I arrived there was a bit of a waiting line, but I ended up waiting way less than expected. They were also super nice and the coffee was good. I really recommend the place

Sehr laut, wegen mangelnder Schalldämmung in Form von zum Beispiel dicken Gardinen, akkustikpaneelen und Co. Essen und Getränke sowie der Rest ist klasse.

Wir waren zum brunchen dort. Alles, was wir bestellt haben, war super lecker. Die Portionen waren ebenfalls angemessen, und ich muss auch die Freundlichkeit des Personals erwähnen. Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen!

Lovely unique brunch spot. Two trick pony is a breath of fresh air if you want to enjoy a high quality brunch/lunch that doesn’t consist of avocado toast and eggs benedict. Their menu features out of the average options that really blew me away. Would highly recommend the hispi cabbage. As they don’t take reservations you usually hbe to wait a little bit to get a table but the food is always worth the wait!

Fantastic atmosphere and the service is absolutely on point, brilliant welcome and incredibly friendly. The food was good, but not brilliant and both our brunch plates were over seasoned and therefore too salty for us. Coffee is a winner though!

Waren bei Öffnung des Cafés da und mussten erstmal Schlange stehen. Verstehe nicht warum man nicht reservieren kann. Essen und Kaffee waren wirklich gut aber für das was es ist, fand ich es relativ teuer. Würde hier eher süß, statt salzig frühstücken wenn ich nochmal hingehen würde.

I don't think I've had a better brunch served by more friendly people anywhere. This place ozzes charm and welcome. The food was delicious, the staff super friendly and the atmosphere charming. Highly recommended
