I can only give 5 stars (more if I could) ✨ brunch is fab, mimosas delish, the shop is unreal and full of gorgeous goodies. It’s a dream. A huge shout out to the wonderful staff. They are friendly, sweet, caring and just a vibe. Love and will definitely make this a regular spot ❤️

We came for brunch on Sunday morning. Very nice, modern atmosphere. The meal was excellent and reasonably priced!

Very pleasant place with good food and drinks

Just one of my favourite cafes in Berlin. The space is very open, light and cozy. The staff are always the sweetest and bursting with positive energy. The food is always very delicately made and with top quality. Lovely! One little remark, maybe just personal taste, but the Dirty Chai Latte is too filled with spices that in my opinion don’t go too well together. Nevertheless thanks for the great experience always 🙏

The waiters are very pleasant! All of them! But when I asked to replace the brioche buns with regular bread, I was refused because they said the kitchen was very busy. However, I don’t see why it would be a problem to swap a bun for bread. The utensils were not brought, and I had to go ask for napkins and utensils for our dishes. The meat was very dry, and the dish itself was extremely spicy. No one warned us that it would be this spicy.

Delicious food in a modern capital city atmosphere and a historic building. The balancing act was successful.

It is a very nice place with mostly gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian menus. I ate The Rainbow, it was really delicious, the portions are quite big. It's a nice place with a very spacious atmosphere, I recommend it to everyone.

Set inside a fabulous looking art deco building opposite Hallesche Tor underground station sits a really unique shop and restaurant/cafe. The ambience, service, and the food on offer has to be one of the best breakfast/brunch places in all of Berlin. It's far too trendy for me to fit in, but we still made the effort to go and try it for ourselves. It's still a bit of a secret amongst anyone outside the immediate area, and as it's a little too far to get too many tourists, it's not so busy you can not find a table. However, a booking in advance is probably recommended for parties of 4 or more. I had the classic Full Breakfast with scrambled eggs option, and it was superb. Has to be in my top 3 favourite breakfast places in Berlin, and maybe it's now my absolute no.1. It's that good. Coffee is very nice indeed. The interior has nice touches throughout, and they even made a rather artistic effort with the cracked original floor tiles, as you can see in my photos!! The shop is also a really nice place to search for small presents and stuff you wouldn't necessarily think to buy. Very highly recommended. Get on the U6, get off at Hallesche, and enjoy for a few hours.

Perhaps the only bar in Berlin that doesn't accept dogs...they forced me to muzzle my dog! It never happened in any bar around Europe before, really sad..

Now I know how to enter (it took me some time to enter cuz there was no signal and nobody answered the door when knocking), I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Very interesting place and tastiest cheese cakes. One thing that always upsets me when i visit the place - so much litter around it, especially in front of POCO entrance - one of the dirtiest places in Berlin i know! I myself take regularly part in "clean" actions (Clean river, city) and will readily also help you with cleaning up the area. From my experience, a dozen of people will manage it within 1-2 hours to look way better!

Hallesches Haus is a super authentic spot with great hipster vibes. The food is amazing—especially their reimagined eggs Benedict, which has a fresh, modern twist that really works. The highlight, though, was their carrot cake paired with a turmeric latte—absolutely mind-blowing! A perfect mix of creativity and flavor. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Berlin. P.S. it is better to make a reservation prior to going there

bought a teapot in the bouji shop, it didn't work at all (spilt everywhere, not fit for purpose) so I returned it but they would not refund, only give a credit voucher. Seems vaguely against consumer regulation, since the teapot was useless (which they admitted was a common complaint with that teapot)

It's my second time having brunch. The Eggs Benedict with flat white coffee make a perfect combination for a weekend brunch. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

I’ve given this place enough chances. I’ve gone back multiple times because it’s pretty & I’m hoping it’ll live up to its aesthetics, but it never does. The food is always bland. Always. The cinnamon cake I had there recently tasted like baking soda & was honestly hard to get down. The coffee is kinda sour. Some people like that, okay. The staff hover around and chat like they’re a Highschool clique. You should order at the counter, and put your dishes in the Rückgabe, but also tip. It’s an okay place to visit if you wanna Instagram a tasteless brunch in a pretty room. I’ll never try it again.

I am absolutely thrilled! From the first contact to the end of the event everything was perfect. The food was not only a highlight in terms of taste, but also beautifully presented visually. The organization ran smoothly, every detail was considered, and the location was simply fantastic. The event management team is unbeatable – competent, warm and always with a smile. sorely disappointed by the food and drinks - the matcha latte was too diluted and flavourless and the yoghurt and granola was drowned in a jam that was too sweet. a miss for me even though i really wanted to like it. the adjoining gift shop is really cute though and has a nice work area with lots of natural light.

I don't know if you can use the laptop on Sunday. That's very strange

The food was ok, but you had to wait a long time for it, so the coffee that was served beforehand was already cold. Service cannot serve 6 people at the table at the same time. Very loud atmosphere. Service only speaks English. A reservation takes 2 hours, after which you have to leave the table because the next ones are coming. At the end you are informed that in addition to the high prices (€15.80 for a plate of breakfast) you still have to pay 10% service. Overall a terrible place and the opposite of hospitality.

If you bring your own chef it is a pleasant breakfast place

The food was tasty, but a bit low for the money. When paying, a “plating fee” of €1 per person and a tip of a little more than 10% were added, and we were not informed about either of these beforehand. Drinks were great.

We celebrated a company event at Halleschen Haus and had a really good time! The communication and arrangements before the event went great, our wishes were made possible without any problems and the event itself was implemented brilliantly by the team on site. Ambiance, food, service, drinks - mega. I can only recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice event location for up to 90 people :)

There's something about a falling star. A few years back, this place was busier than a cleaner at an upchuck contest. The thing is, when you arrive, they'll tell you they still are. It's a classic combination of unmotivated but well meaning team, and management with as much purpose as a cadaver. We were told that they were booked out at opening at 10 am. We were told to wait in the giftshop nearby... we did so, them appealed our case to another well-meaning attendee (as opposed to the manager). A bit more negotiating, and we were seated... we had a leisurely meal, and the place was still 2/3 empty when we left... with people still being turned away for tables. Hint guys: use every seat, and give people the time that you need the seat back...get the order as you seat them down, kick the kitchen into shaking their rears, and flip those tables like a pancake at the critical moment. Some waiter training and management will make everyone happier, especially the waiters. As for the food, it was decent. Good eggs, heavy and undercooked but tasty olive oil foccacia, pickled cabbage that was fine. The €4.50 mini waffle was as lonesome as a rat with a body odour. A bit of the prescribed yoghurt and vegan caramel won't break the bank and may have us return to order that dish. As for vegan caramel as a menu item in a meat serving cafe...have it as an option..the rest of us want the caramel made with butter, please ;*). I suspect vegans will be satisfied with the cardoman scrolls...those of us that can remember the flavour of butter, less so. 5* coffee saved the day...pea milk, who knew? All in all, the place is fine as an eating house, I mean Haus... treating it like a fine diner with long slots for reservations makes as much sense as...well... mandatory vegan caramel.

It was one of my regular shops for brunch or coffee for years, but unfortunately it's no longer dog-friendly, so I'll be avoiding this shop in the future, which is a shame.

Cute hipster breakfast bar with an attached design store. There are a lot of beautiful and unusual things there, unfortunately not very cheap. The food was delicious and something different than the typical avocado toast you get everywhere else. I deduct one point for the quantity, it could easily be a little more. The staff speaks German and English and even if you have to wait a little longer from time to time, they are still nice and helpful. The floor tiles with faces carved into them are a special eye-catcher. Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside due to rain, but the back yard looks great too. If dogs bother you at breakfast, you should go somewhere else. When we were in the restaurant there were several dogs.

Very modern and urban. The service only speaks English, the menu is limited, but each dish was perfect in itself. The coffee was very good. We would definitely come again.

Was there at an event by chance. Nice location but I don't understand the principle of the small associated shop. All sorts of things. Didn't appeal to me personally at all.

The cappuccino is really delicious. I love the coffee strength and arome. Very well made. I also tried the carrot cake (and I am not a big fan of carrots) and it turned out to be the best carrot cake I have tried ever. Rich taste, moist, smooth with some chunks, very balanced cake to frosting ratio, I just fell in love! Also the atmosphere is warm and lovely, the place is spacious with good music in the background. Some tables have (no laptop) sign on them but others don't, I see people working here on laptops normally. Highly recommended 👌

We booked the Hallesche Haus for a wedding. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful evening. The planning (with Emilia) went smoothly and the entire contact was extremely friendly and courteous throughout. The wedding couple and I, as the best man, were able to honestly discuss all parts of the offer at any time without being told anything. The evening itself went smoothly. The agreed menu (which was also completely vegan was no problem) was extremely good and probably the best wedding food I have ever eaten. There were no logistical problems either and all 85 guests had enough to eat and drink at all times. The entire service team in the evening was always helpful, incredibly friendly and the guests clearly enjoyed interacting with the Halleschen Haus team. Added to this was the truly magical atmosphere that the Hallesche Haus exudes at an evening event. The large room is very stylishly lit and, in addition to the beautiful outdoor area, offers a romantic, but not kitschy, backdrop. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable evening!

The ambient was very nice. Lively and relaxed. High ceilings and a lot of day light. The food was not good, though. The salsiccia sandwich was strange to my taste, the bread soaked through on the inside and the sausage too fatty. The chai latte was watery, lacking milk. Didn't have a chance give the cake a try. I found the no laptop policy on weekends rather ridiculous, I must say.

Misleading "Pet-Friendly" Label – Wasted Our Time We crossed Berlin with a group of six, expecting a truly pet-friendly café, but were met with a sign requiring dogs to wear muzzles—a rule that's out of step with German culture, where well-behaved dogs are a part of daily life. Our dog, who’s always welcome elsewhere in Berlin, wasn’t allowed inside, meaning we couldn’t stay to eat and wasted our time coming here. It’s frustrating, especially since this is the first café in Berlin that’s refused our dog entry. The place has potential to be great, but this restrictive policy completely ruins the experience. They really need to update their website to clearly state this rule, so other dog owners aren’t misled and left hungry and disappointed like we were. It’s definitely not as pet-friendly as advertised.

Great spot! Walking here, it doesn’t look like there’s actually a shop/cafe…trust, it’s there. Matcha latte either oat milk did not disappoint!

Digital nomad friendly. Beautiful cafe with big tables, some are laptop friendly while some are not. They serve many types of coffee, tea, and alcohol. Tons of different types of food and desserts as well. Although I found it a bit too noisy since people’s chatter echo loudly in this type of space, so not ideal if you have video conference/ meeting. The air can get stuffy also without good air circulation.

We celebrated our wedding in the Halleschen Haus and we are really more than satisfied and happy! Our guests were absolutely happy and we received many compliments on our choice of location. All of our wishes were taken into account, from the decoration to the adjustment of the menu. We are really more than happy that we were able to celebrate with you! Nice place, easy vibes. Good granola, but I do not like when they serve yogurt in a plate and not a bowl. Not so easy to eat. The adjacent store is very nice.

Food and location is nice and the service team is very kind. It's great that there are options for vegans and meat eaters too. Only negativity I would mention is that it took 20 minutes till I could order a coffee even though the place wasn't full at all. Still I can recommend this place and will definitely come back.

The setting is very pretty, you feel good there. The team in the room is super nice, just for that I gave a 15% tip. I came for brunch and ordered a dish with eggs. Honestly it was very average. Other diners had other dishes and enjoyed them. I fell badly. Credit card accepted

Uau for morning breakfast is perfect

We visited Hallesches Haus for brunch on our most recent visit to Berlin. It is conveniently located right next to the Hallesches Tor station and is within the heart of Kreuzberg, an up and coming vibrant neighbourhood of Berlin. Do not let the outside of the building deceive you! Walking down the passageway, you catch a glimpse of the wonderful outdoor dining area that is full of foliage and overhead lighting. When walking into the building you are greeted with a gift shop/store that sells a variety of products from independent suppliers and retailers. We chose to sit indoors, the restaurant/cafe area is incredibly spacious, well lit and aesthetically pleasing. There is table service if you choose to dine in, but this was not communicated upon arrival leading to a bit of confusion, but it was not a problem. In terms of the food, unfortunately the menu on the day we visited was very limited. We were told this was due to an event being held at the venue later in the day. Because of this, we opted to have the “Full Haus” and can gladly say this was delicious! The menu appears to change during weekdays and weekends so I would look online beforehand if you are planning a visit. Service was quick and the prices reasonable for this area of Berlin. The staff were friendly and there was a particular English member of staff that really stood out amongst the rest in the best kind of way, unfortunately we did not get his name! If you are in the area, I would highly recommend a visit to Hallesches Haus.

Unfortunately, there are not that many gluten-free options and no gluten-free milk alternative other than cow's milk. Unfortunately that's out of the question for me. But it's a very nice vibe and easy to reach 💫 All in all great, I'd love to go back again and again

This is one of my favorite cafes 🌹 The high ceilings and vibrant atmosphere make it a great place to work on my laptop. Every visit feels like a mini vacation. They offer delicious food, cakes, drinks, and cocktails, and there’s a design store at the front. Please note, they only accept card payments.

Love the store and the place itself is great! Service is friendly. The dish was a mess. The idea of the panzanella salad was good but it was unfortunately a mix of ingredients that don’t really complement each other: Ruccola (some leaves were already yellowing), watermelon, tomatoes, cilantro, grapes…and well croutons with a boring dressing! Felt soulless…

This is a brunch cafe in Berlin with a great atmosphere and delicious food. Once you order, it doesn't take long for your food to arrive. There is an editing shop inside, so you can go in and look at cute props.

Very nice inside, the food is high quality, interesting and tasty! The maple latte was also impressive🤤 The goodies in the store are also worth paying attention to. It is especially cozy to sit in the backyard😉 I recommend reserving a table in advance!

I really don't understand how people can say this place is good. If you are a person who is used to having real food and not chic hipster dishes, you will hate this place. If you are Italian, you will feel so disappointed. The foccacia was from the day before. The tastes are just artificial, and the lettuce had a bug inside. For people who have a minimum logic of food and admire food when it is done with love, this is not the correct place. It was totally expensive and very bad food. 👎 20 euro for 2 eggs with bread, and a small cola (0.20l) because they want to make the customer drink in small glass, maybe works for a Playmobil, but not for a normal human being.

Laptop area only very small (3 small tables) compared to before and this area was full of people 20min after opening already. I ordered a latte and it took ages to be served. I was already done with the carrot cake when they came with the latte. Nice space though.

Overrated. The food is made to look good, but the taste leaves something to be desired. It’s ok, but not for the price (~20 p.p. food + tea). Very bland, the sourdough bread was unspectacular. The atmosphere is very pleasant, nothing to remark there. What killed it for me was the 10%,20%,30% tip options on the payment terminal. 30%?? Sure it’s an all Yuppie, English only speaking, bla bla. Yes, you can also leave no tip, but the audacity to put 30% as an option? We are not in the states. Wish you all the best, not for me.

Delicious food and a very cool location in an old building by the water. The dining area is also clearly divided into laptop and non-laptop zones. Not a large menu, but everything is very flavourful! A very nice shop right next to it as well.

Looks great, lacks proper service and good food. For that price I would expect a fancy breakfast. Out of 4 menu items they had 3, even that they had to check and the wait time for that info was terrible. The food was bland and not really what is in the description or picutres. To top it off we were waiting for our mimozas for ages. Those who do not know - a mimoza is prosecco and orange juice, the easiest thing one could mix. For a venue that looks hipster-posh and has such prices you would expect more. Oh, and you have to put your used dishes away. Wonder what the staff is actually doing the whole day…

I had a wonderful decaf cappucino. Snack plate was very tasty. I recommend ordering the poached egg with it. Lovely service, pleasant atmosphere and music. Will definitely come back.

Hearty and healthy lunch! Hallesches Haus has been pinned to my maps for a while, and I was so glad to walk in today and choose their lunch bowl. They work with a small menu with seasonal and local ingredients, and my dish was absolutely well seasoned and delicious. Besides, the natural light and store in the front make the place very special!

I Like the food and waiters are really nice. The carrot cake was really tasty and I tried miso butter the first time. I don’t like butter but that was good. Some tables are too small and it’s too loud to study but all in all I liked it and I would go again.

Visited Hallesches Haus this morning, and this experience, honestly, left me feeling more stressed than relaxed. It’s a shame, as the setting itself promises so much more. Attracted by its stunning ambiance and interior design. Truly, the way sunlight spills through the windows, illuminating the space, is a sight to behold. However, this might just be the highlight of my experience. Unfortunately, the food, while decent, felt overpriced for what was offered. The disparity between cost and value was hard to overlook. On the service front, while most staff members were pleasant, the approach taken by the host in managing seating arrangements left much to be desired. As someone who enjoys pairing coffee with a good book, especially on a weekend, I was taken aback when, before even finishing my coffee, I was told to pay and make room, despite having spent less than an hour at my table. It was a busy day, I get it, but the lack of inquiry into whether I had completed my meal or the suggestion of moving to a different seat for more comfort first felt rushed and impersonal. This approach made me wonder if dining alone or reading at the table were somehow seen as unwelcome, though both activities are surely within the bounds of normal coffee shops behavior.

It is not clear from the outside what treasure is hidden here. You reach the entrance through a gate. The Hallesche Haus was divided into a furniture store and a breakfast cafe. Little renovated inside, but working with what was, it has a very special look. Warm and idiosyncratic. You are shown to your seat and can choose from meat and non-meat options. The service is very nice and attentive. Everything is freshly prepared and offers exciting flavors. If you like, you can finish with a delicious cake or a shot. After your meal you have the opportunity to browse the store for interior design treasures. There are many special things and it's fun to take something extraordinary home with you

Honestly the food was just bad I would say unbeatable for me. I went with my friend she didn’t even touch the eggs or cabbages for I I only ate a quarter of the plate and the chai latte was tasteless. The place it self looks nice but other than that never again

A very cool and modern Berlin style cafe! All is all the food is of the great quality and the cocktails are delicious! You need to be mindful of its popularity though and be ready for noise and many many people around you. The service itself could be improved. The staff seemed very stressed and we were almost kicked out of the place after 2 hours but no one told us that we had a limited reservation.
