Beautiful atmosphere for buying utilitarian design and enjoying very good coffees and delicious brunches

Super delicious food: 10/10. We ate the hummus caponata with warm sourdough bread. Just keep in mind the prices are hipsterly high.

Great place, just a little expensive

We had a wonderful breakfast at Hallisches Haus. The food and drinks were very good. I had the hummus with eggplant, peach, and other delicious ingredients. I definitely recommend this dish. The service was super friendly, and our order arrived quickly. The atmosphere is very relaxed, with a bright, warm, industrial charm. Despite the crowd, we were still able to have a good conversation. Thumbs up.

Don't order extra bacon. It is a absurd. Paid 4eur for two small slices. On top of the minuscule portion, I explicitly asked if they could make it crispy, and they still brought it soft. I should read the reviews before, because I am not the first to report this here.

I had sourdough bread with eggs Benedict. It tasted very good. I ordered the vegetarian option (without bacon), and it was cheaper. I also had a Moroccan mint tea, which was okay (dried). The service was okay so far.

A beautiful, welcoming, and bright location where you can eat and drink excellent products. The prices aren't cheap: we had a cappuccino and carrot cake, two spritzes, and a plate of hummus and caponata for a total of €40 (to give you an idea of ​​the prices), but in my opinion it was absolutely worth it for the atmosphere and the good quality.

Very stylish and delicious healthy food.

The bacon was cooked to perfection but I think the leaves in the toast had a very strong flavor for my liking, I would have liked it better without them. The waffle is ok, but too many sweet components and it’s too sweet to eat it all.

This place has such a pretty outdoor area, especially on a sunny day. The overall design is lovely, and it’s the kind of spot where you could easily spend hours relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. They even have a dedicated laptop area, though I was a bit disappointed to find out that laptops aren’t allowed on weekends when I came to work. My favourite dish here is the Caponata and Hummus, it looks beautiful and tastes even better!

Great venue in a perfect location in Berlin 💥 As guests at a wedding, we felt truly at home here! The food was excellent and the bar staff extremely friendly! The interior is truly tastefully decorated. The outside is also a place where you can relax! Thank you for the lovely evening 💪🏽🎉

Gorgeous space, coffee, and food. But gorgeous doesn’t mean good. Though the barista skills are spectacular, the chef failed to care for flavor while being distracted with making pretty looking food. The green omelet was a strange cacophony of peas, mustard seeds, parsley, and zucchini strips. It may have worked if the eggs werent so over cooked. When eggs turn brown their flavor turns to brown sh-. The buckwheat and berry bowl was also beautifully presented, but it was smothered in ginger syrup to the point of making the bowl very spicy and unbearably fragrant like a perfume. When we asked the staff to remake it, they just handed us a tiny bowl of berries. If your customer can’t stomach the food because you made it wrong, remake it!!!!

We went to Hallesches Haus for Coffee + Cake and I can recommend both - especially while sitting in their beautiful outside area (when sitting indoors, it can be a bit loud). Also, the store is super cute - although I can't afford the stuff sold there haha

A friend recommended this place, and I almost ordered everything on the menu, including the kitchen sink, because the food looked like it could win a beauty pageant. Unfortunately, it was more of a “looks can be deceiving” situation. The French toast was just bread with berries, lacking any sweetness—like a vanilla-less vanilla dream. I don’t usually go for super sweet stuff, but this was supposed to be a flavor explosion, not a flavor fizzle. On the bright side, the staff was friendly, and the library setting had some good vibes. I might give it another shot, but next time, I’ll order less and hope for a plot twist.

Hallesches Haus is one of my favorite places in Berlin. My colleagues and I go there for lunch quite often. Great food, amazing ambience. One small complaint I've about this place is a bit of mismanagement during lunch time. They're super busy. Therfore, they miss orders. The food is served very late too. But food is simply the best.

I just discovered this café and I really liked it. The coffee is delicious, as are the cakes☕️🍰. There's also a laptop work area. The decor and ambiance are also very nice. The service is friendly. I'll definitely stop by for brunch sometime.

A very, very nice place – for eating, working, meeting, and drinking a delicious coffee. I find the service here particularly attentive. You can work on your laptop in the back, and eat in the front, where it's a laptop-free zone. The hash brownie is sensationally good! The store is a dream, with lots of treats, wine, and china, and you'll always find something here... even if you're not looking for anything. Update: Sitting outside in the summer is a real treat! The daily special with tomatoes and fried capers is sensationally good. I enjoy eating something I would never have thought of at home! It's a bit strange that you get assigned a seat, but with so many people, it makes sense!

I loved this place! I love how it’s spacious and bright (compared to so many cafes). The coffee is great. There are tables where one can work with a laptop and tables that are reserved for “social use”. The coffee and food were great!

The café at Hallesches Haus has been one of my favorite brunch spots in the city for years. The menu is small, but you can be sure that the dishes on offer are high-quality and delicious. I'm always amazed by the amazing flavor combinations in the dishes, and I think the prices are very fair for Berlin! The service is super friendly, and the shop offers great designer items.

I ordered the vegan waffle. The menu says "we only have a few items so that we can make them well", which I respect and find smart. However, the waffle came out soggy and quite cold. For a Belgian waffle, as advertised, the waffle was also rather flat and undercooked. The flavors were tasty, particularly the apple quince, but after paying 16 euros, I would hope to feel moderately full, and yet my stomach is still grumbling. I loved the atmosphere, and the wait staff were kind.

Sorry but the service is really bad and very very slow… also outside sitting options are very rare and you forever until you get an answer for something. There are a lot better options in Berlin. Sorry.

Eine sehr schöne Lokalität. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Ich hatte heute das Backfisch Sandwich. Der Store im Vorraum lädt zum bummeln ein. Ein Geschenk für die Liebste findet man dort auf jeden Fall. Ich werde auf jeden Fall öfter vorbeischauen.

A super cute and casual cafe with an attached store. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy your hot banana bread.

Super delicious food, drinks, and a café in a particularly beautiful interior! In the summer, there's a courtyard for outdoor seating. The shop in the entrance area also offers special design items. I highly recommend it.

Overall great experience but I must say, the food we ordered was very greasy. I guess the new plate has pesto that is already oily, added on top the fried spargel, felt super heavy to me and my friend (obviously burrata and butter didn’t make it better). And it didn’t feel like olive oil on the salad, would not recommend for sensitive tummies (tho very tasty)

I think 2 out of 4 main meal options were vegan (a granola dish and a very nice salad which i had). They also do a very nice coffee with oat milk (lovely latte, and I'm not normally latte person)! it's got a cool vibe, but in case you need to know: there's only one area where laptops are allowed (4 tables if i remember correctly). Lovely staff too, would come back again for sure!

An interesting entrance with a view of the inner courtyard tempts you to go inside. The entrance is immediately to the right and you come to a small shop that offers a wide variety of items, from food to wine. The café is right next door and offers classic coffees, tea, etc. There are also various cakes and other delicacies on offer. Further back is access to the terrace in the inner courtyard. A little idyll that you have to discover first

We got a table without a reservation after a short 5-minute wait, which was great. The service was excellent – very friendly and attentive. We both ordered decaf iced lattes, which were delicious. We also had the Eggs Benedict – they were good, though not the best I’ve ever had. I personally didn’t love the black cabbage salad that came with the bread, but that’s just a matter of taste. The location is bright and open with lots of natural light, and the overall vibe is really nice. I’d definitely come back – if only for the incredibly kind and welcoming staff!

Super nice shop with interesting, unusual products. The food was delicious and the staff was absolutely friendly. This is often not the case in Berlin.

Arrived to find it closed for a private event after trekking across Berlin. I checked their website which said they were open and also their instagram which didn’t have any mention of a closure when I checked before opening. There was a transit strike so it was especially difficult to make my way there and made the closure more annoying. I think putting it up on your website and earlier on socials is good practice considering you knew well in advance you’d be closed.

I love Hallesches Haus. I should go there more often, especially during the week when it’s a bit quieter and you don’t have to stress about people lining up to be seated. The atmosphere is very inspiring, a lot of long tables to cowork or do group gatherings or small tables for more intimate settings. The menu often changes but they are always able to reinvent breakfast dishes and keep them interesting. I don’t always understand the mix of ingredients on the menu but I know it will taste amazing- and always does! The staff is friendly! And when you are done eating, you HAVE TO visit the store. There is nothing I wouldn’t buy, and they sell amazing coffee beans too!

We were there on a Saturday for brunch and the place itself is beautiful and love the plants on the ceilings. We also got a place after 5 minutes of waiting. And had to wait another 20-30 minutes for our food. The portion of the egg Benedict could be larger, but it tastes very delicious. But I still liked the coffee the most. I would go again for a coffee but not for food.

I can only give 5 stars (more if I could) ✨ brunch is fab, mimosas delish, the shop is unreal and full of gorgeous goodies. It’s a dream. A huge shout out to the wonderful staff. They are friendly, sweet, caring and just a vibe. Love and will definitely make this a regular spot ❤️

Very pleasant place with good food and drinks

Just one of my favourite cafes in Berlin. The space is very open, light and cozy. The staff are always the sweetest and bursting with positive energy. The food is always very delicately made and with top quality. Lovely! One little remark, maybe just personal taste, but the Dirty Chai Latte is too filled with spices that in my opinion don’t go too well together. Nevertheless thanks for the great experience always 🙏

The waiters are very pleasant! All of them! But when I asked to replace the brioche buns with regular bread, I was refused because they said the kitchen was very busy. However, I don’t see why it would be a problem to swap a bun for bread. The utensils were not brought, and I had to go ask for napkins and utensils for our dishes. The meat was very dry, and the dish itself was extremely spicy. No one warned us that it would be this spicy.

It is a very nice place with mostly gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian menus. I ate The Rainbow, it was really delicious, the portions are quite big. It's a nice place with a very spacious atmosphere, I recommend it to everyone.

Set inside a fabulous looking art deco building opposite Hallesche Tor underground station sits a really unique shop and restaurant/cafe. The ambience, service, and the food on offer has to be one of the best breakfast/brunch places in all of Berlin. It's far too trendy for me to fit in, but we still made the effort to go and try it for ourselves. It's still a bit of a secret amongst anyone outside the immediate area, and as it's a little too far to get too many tourists, it's not so busy you can not find a table. However, a booking in advance is probably recommended for parties of 4 or more. I had the classic Full Breakfast with scrambled eggs option, and it was superb. Has to be in my top 3 favourite breakfast places in Berlin, and maybe it's now my absolute no.1. It's that good. Coffee is very nice indeed. The interior has nice touches throughout, and they even made a rather artistic effort with the cracked original floor tiles, as you can see in my photos!! The shop is also a really nice place to search for small presents and stuff you wouldn't necessarily think to buy. Very highly recommended. Get on the U6, get off at Hallesche, and enjoy for a few hours.

Super interesting place, interesting guests, but it echoes terribly when there are a lot of visitors.

Perhaps the only bar in Berlin that doesn't accept dogs...they forced me to muzzle my dog! It never happened in any bar around Europe before, really sad..

Now I know how to enter (it took me some time to enter cuz there was no signal and nobody answered the door when knocking), I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Very interesting place and tastiest cheese cakes. One thing that always upsets me when i visit the place - so much litter around it, especially in front of POCO entrance - one of the dirtiest places in Berlin i know! I myself take regularly part in "clean" actions (Clean river, city) and will readily also help you with cleaning up the area. From my experience, a dozen of people will manage it within 1-2 hours to look way better!

Hallesches Haus is a super authentic spot with great hipster vibes. The food is amazing—especially their reimagined eggs Benedict, which has a fresh, modern twist that really works. The highlight, though, was their carrot cake paired with a turmeric latte—absolutely mind-blowing! A perfect mix of creativity and flavor. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Berlin. P.S. it is better to make a reservation prior to going there

bought a teapot in the bouji shop, it didn't work at all (spilt everywhere, not fit for purpose) so I returned it but they would not refund, only give a credit voucher. Seems vaguely against consumer regulation, since the teapot was useless (which they admitted was a common complaint with that teapot)

It's my second time having brunch. The Eggs Benedict with flat white coffee make a perfect combination for a weekend brunch. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

I’ve given this place enough chances. I’ve gone back multiple times because it’s pretty & I’m hoping it’ll live up to its aesthetics, but it never does. The food is always bland. Always. The cinnamon cake I had there recently tasted like baking soda & was honestly hard to get down. The coffee is kinda sour. Some people like that, okay. The staff hover around and chat like they’re a Highschool clique. You should order at the counter, and put your dishes in the Rückgabe, but also tip. It’s an okay place to visit if you wanna Instagram a tasteless brunch in a pretty room. I’ll never try it again.

I am absolutely thrilled! From the first contact to the end of the event everything was perfect. The food was not only a highlight in terms of taste, but also beautifully presented visually. The organization ran smoothly, every detail was considered, and the location was simply fantastic. The event management team is unbeatable – competent, warm and always with a smile. I don't know if you can use the laptop on Sunday. That's very strange

sorely disappointed by the food and drinks - the matcha latte was too diluted and flavourless and the yoghurt and granola was drowned in a jam that was too sweet. a miss for me even though i really wanted to like it. the adjoining gift shop is really cute though and has a nice work area with lots of natural light.

The food was ok, but you had to wait a long time for it, so the coffee that was served beforehand was already cold. Service cannot serve 6 people at the table at the same time. Very loud atmosphere. Service only speaks English. A reservation takes 2 hours, after which you have to leave the table because the next ones are coming. At the end you are informed that in addition to the high prices (€15.80 for a plate of breakfast) you still have to pay 10% service. Overall a terrible place and the opposite of hospitality.

The food was tasty, but a bit low for the money. When paying, a “plating fee” of €1 per person and a tip of a little more than 10% were added, and we were not informed about either of these beforehand. Drinks were great.

If you bring your own chef it is a pleasant breakfast place

There's something about a falling star. A few years back, this place was busier than a cleaner at an upchuck contest. The thing is, when you arrive, they'll tell you they still are. It's a classic combination of unmotivated but well meaning team, and management with as much purpose as a cadaver. We were told that they were booked out at opening at 10 am. We were told to wait in the giftshop nearby... we did so, them appealed our case to another well-meaning attendee (as opposed to the manager). A bit more negotiating, and we were seated... we had a leisurely meal, and the place was still 2/3 empty when we left... with people still being turned away for tables. Hint guys: use every seat, and give people the time that you need the seat back...get the order as you seat them down, kick the kitchen into shaking their rears, and flip those tables like a pancake at the critical moment. Some waiter training and management will make everyone happier, especially the waiters. As for the food, it was decent. Good eggs, heavy and undercooked but tasty olive oil foccacia, pickled cabbage that was fine. The €4.50 mini waffle was as lonesome as a rat with a body odour. A bit of the prescribed yoghurt and vegan caramel won't break the bank and may have us return to order that dish. As for vegan caramel as a menu item in a meat serving cafe...have it as an option..the rest of us want the caramel made with butter, please ;*). I suspect vegans will be satisfied with the cardoman scrolls...those of us that can remember the flavour of butter, less so. 5* coffee saved the day...pea milk, who knew? All in all, the place is fine as an eating house, I mean Haus... treating it like a fine diner with long slots for reservations makes as much sense as...well... mandatory vegan caramel.

We celebrated a company event at Halleschen Haus and had a really good time! The communication and arrangements before the event went great, our wishes were made possible without any problems and the event itself was implemented brilliantly by the team on site. Ambiance, food, service, drinks - mega. I can only recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice event location for up to 90 people :)

Comida cocinada, sin alcohol. Café era bueno, amable con el personal, ambiente muy agradable. Pero la calidad de los alimentos destruyó todo...

It was one of my regular shops for brunch or coffee for years, but unfortunately it's no longer dog-friendly, so I'll be avoiding this shop in the future, which is a shame.
