Turmblick in Zell (Mosel)

A good restaurant. We waited a little longer. But the food was great. The employees are friendly. You have a nice view of the tower. In the evening everything is beautifully lit.

The terrace may seem cozy in the dark, but the interior is so bland and inappropriate, it's hard to describe... my schnitzel was almost cold, my mother ate the goulash all night because of the tons of glutamate... never again for us, staff is overwhelmed, for us everything has more of the charm of a poor quality snack bar...

Real rubbish! Complete rip off of tourists. The food is finished food and absolute garbage. Sitting outside in a completely chaotic untidy area, which is also not clean. I can only advise against it!

It's lovely to sit on the terrace with a view of the Moselle. We were surprised at the first glance at the somewhat chaotically decorated outdoor area. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Gewoon goed Duits restaurant. Simpele kaart maar eten was perfect. Het was erg druk (wat we wisten vooraf) maar het was gezellig en met een heerlijk Duits biertje erbij was het wachten geen probleem 👍

The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very nice and cute. Unfortunately the food wasn't really good. The salad plate was dirty. The potato salad was difficult. In my opinion, the sauces from Schnitzel and Co. were ready-made sauces. The potato thalers and fries tasted like old fat. Unfortunately it didn't work for me.

Didn't reserve a table and arrived at 6:15 p.m. when it was busy. We waited about 20 minutes and then got a table inside. Unfortunately it was freezing cold for me, the first table was next to the counter and the door was open the whole time. They both ordered a schnitzel dish, the meat was very good. But fries and croquettes were cold. Side salad only came after the main course. Everyone was very friendly but, to be honest, extremely overwhelmed.

We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. The waiters seemed visibly overwhelmed. The sauce for the schnitzel was hot, but the schnitzel itself was only lukewarm, which was also the case at the neighboring table. However, the venison and beef goulash tasted really good. Unfortunately we will not come again due to the long waiting times. We were particularly struck by a waiter who tried to take our order while chewing - that didn't leave a good impression. P.S.: It was Saturday evening, the restaurant was not full and there were three waiters on duty.

Went there years ago for New Year's Eve and were very happy with the food and service.. Unfortunately this time I had a very bad experience, the service was attentive and friendly, but it was still chaotic and poorly coordinated. All of the guests around us waited more than 2 hours for the food they ordered and were pretty angry, the service staff had to listen to a lot. We ordered 1x cream champion schnitzel with fries and salad and 1x pepper cream schnitzel (without pepper) in a small basket there were about 15 fries, the salad and dressing was mediocre, the pepper cream sauce was without pepper. There were a lot of complaints around us, praise - the two waiters remained friendly... unfortunately that was the only positive thing about this evening. It's a shame about the time and money

We were there yesterday. We didn't like it at all. We were blinded by the good reviews. Well, tastes are different. But there can be no question of freshly prepared dishes, because two different dishes cannot be freshly prepared in 15 minutes. We would have liked to order drinks, unfortunately that wasn't possible because they apparently didn't see us. After about 20 minutes without drinks we went in to pay. Unfortunately no recommendation, actually it's a shame given the location and the view.

Forever a long wait, even though the daily menu was chosen. Then served wrong food and after correction served an inedible meal. Waiting forever for the recommended replacement. Conclusion: once and never again.

We went to eat there based on a recommendation regarding a "child-friendly restaurant" and were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and there is a great sand play area for the children. Overall, as a family with children you feel very welcome there and children can laugh and discover here without being looked at askance. Great restaurant with a beautiful view. Didn't reserve. We got 2 glasses of wine to bridge the waiting time and wait for a free table on the bench in front of the restaurant on the banks of the Moselle (of course we had to pay, then with the bill after the meal). Friendly service, good food at fair prices. Gladly again.

We arrived without a reservation, it seemed to be full. The host still had a place for us, with a beautiful view over the water. -Reasonable prices, menu in German with English translation underneath. -Friendly service and host. -Atmosphere is a bit kitschy, but cozy. - You can pay in cash or by card. -Food looked good and was tasty.

Good home-style food, plenty of choice at fair prices. We sat nicely on the terrace. Absolute plus point: one of the few restaurants in Zell where card payment is possible. For us, this is part of the service!

Unfortunately my pork loins were very bloody. I don't know about pork. Otherwise everything was very nice

Conclusion: - just waited 2 hours for food after ordering, never got anything (everyone around us was full) - at the end the service became rude - Finally the boss came and said no order had ever been received So we paid for drinks and left hungry. Nothing like this has really ever happened to us!

Home-style restaurant right on the banks of the Moselle. Decent portions, rustic atmosphere, despite the elevated location, the restaurant and toilets are barrier-free. Reservation is recommended, if not, just ask.

Now in the second year of our Moselle vacation, we went out to eat and relax at the Turmblick almost every evening. Good food at reasonable prices, varied, tasty and friendly service. A beautiful view rounds it all off.

Poor Service. Long wait to recieve our meal. Unable to attract any of the waiters. After waiting 40 minutes the meal arrived. Both steaks were very tough and chewy, with the peppercorn sauce being cold. Had to chew the meat by tearing it apart with my fingers. Had asked twice for our salads, and in the end had to go up to the bar to ask where was our salads. No waiters around to complain.about our very poor meals.

As always, very good food and service. Come back at the next opportunity.

We were initially impressed by the somewhat chaotic-looking outdoor area of ​​the restaurant, but this should definitely not be taken as a negative criticism. We felt absolutely comfortable there. Fine deer goulash for €19.80 Spaetzle pear + salad AN ORDER: - Noble deer goulash spaetzle pear you can leave out the salad and add more spaetzle instead. GOT: - Significantly less than can be seen in one of the photos. - Meat was just warm, the sauce was significantly colder (I'm not an expert but I know goulash at a uniform temperature because the sauce with the meat is actually cooked at a total temperature. - Until then, I didn't know this consistency of this goulash meat - after chewing it 3-4 times you end up with a sticky pulp in your mouth. Overcooked? Meat that you accuse dogs of? What was going on? - The sauce wasn't great (The owner puts a lot of emphasis on the fact that he always emphasizes in his answers that everything is freshly prepared, as I can read here in the reviews. It's a flexible term in my opinion. When I personally have water at home and Mondami together, I think that mine is not freshly prepared. - Cold plates don't scream gastro but rather hospital food... - Halfway through everything was already cold, so I only ate the spaetzle. And let me see the rest. Spaetzle tasted watery. No taste, nothing... I personally can't cook, but I can make spaetzle even better! BOTTOMLESS AUDIENCE: - ... you can leave out the salad, but please have more spaetzle... According to the picture that you or a customer put in, it was even less and no more! - The waitresses are nice and polite, but as a guest you hear what XYZ says to her... If I hadn't been pressed for time, I wouldn't have paid anything for the meal. Or not until the law enforcement officers arrived and would probably have come for a 118... And that was discussed with them personally until then. I told 2 employees my quantity list on site...

Wir hatten nach einem schönen Tag einen Tisch reserviert. Nachdem wir circa 90 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet hatten, bekamen wir nur ein Essen (das Andere hatte man vergessen und bräuchte auch noch circa 30 Minuten um es zu servieren. Salat und Dressing aus dem Supermarktkühlregal. Der Rest hatte Pommesbudencharakter. Tut mir Leid, aber um dieses Restaurant machen wir einen großen Bogen!

The food was very good, the asparagus soup was obviously homemade, the pork loins were tender, the pepper sauce was well seasoned, so everything was great. I deducted a star from the service because the service was very nice, but a few little things were forgotten despite being written down and therefore not everyone could always eat at the same time. It wasn't bad, but that's why I can't give it full marks. However, it was a lovely evening all around with a great view!

We were warmly welcomed. The service was very pleasant and thoughtful. Our schnitzels were delicious, food was hot. Finally, a pomace brandy (Mosel Grappa) is highly recommended. My friend and I had a lovely, uncomplicated and delicious evening in a colorful, authentic atmosphere.

Good food with a wide selection, there is also a very extensive menu for children. We were there several times and were not disappointed. The house wines are also very good and the price-performance ratio is good! Recommended, especially the marc brandy!!!

A really nice little restaurant. The food was very good (pork loin, venison goulash, forester's pan) and the portion sizes were absolutely appropriate. We were all more than full. The service was super friendly and absolutely accommodating. After we couldn't decide on the wine selection, we quickly received detailed wine advice. The in-house wines are very inviting to buy and enjoy. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the restaurant.

We wanted to end the day after a beautiful day in Zell. Unfortunately we couldn't get a table with 8 people at 7:30 p.m. even though there was still enough space. The outside area was completely empty. For me there is no explanation for why we were so rudely rejected. But everything is fine, but you can't just lump the whole place together. There are plenty of other locations that might want to make some money.

This is a late review and i apologise for that .We hired an apartment in next door in September 2023 so this was the obvious restaurant to have our evening meal .We went there on four separate occasions having a different menu selection on each time. We found the food very tasty cooked the way we liked it .The staff were friendly and Manfred did his best in making sure we had the table of choice .Being so close to the Mosel river itself created a special atmosphere of calm and enjoyment .We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in the restaurant and indeed in Zell so much so that we have booked again in 2024 so as part of our holiday we can once again dine in and hopefully meet again the staff that made our holiday a memorable one .

Ich hatte Appetit auf etwas Spezielles. Leider war es nicht auf der Speisekarte. Man hat improvisiert und mir meinen Wunsch erfüllt. Vielen Dank dafür. Eine nette Idee, für Hunde gibt es eine tolle Auswahl an Getränken.

Nahezu fast alles aus der Tiefkühltruhe... Fanden wir leider nicht so berauschend. Ambiente sehr schön und die Bedienung war sehr nett, dafür jeweils einen Stern.

Leckeres Essen und nettes Team! Wir haben oft dort gegessen und das Essen hatte uns immer gut geschmeckt. Die Portion sind groß und die Teller kommen schön dekoriert aus der Küche. Es kommt schon vor, dass die Bedienungen vergessen was man bestellt hat, aber wenn man net nachfragt, funktioniert. Der junge Mann der dort bedient ist sehr bemüht, schnell und freundlich jedem recht zu machen. Manchmal sind mehrere Gäste mit Hunde dort, das finde ich persönlich nicht so toll. Hunde haben in Restaurants und Terrassen wo essen serviert wird, nicht verloren.

Um's vorweg zu sagen: wir sind satt geworden. Wir haben zu dritt zu Abend gegessen (Salat mit Hühnchen, Hirschgulasch, Backfisch). Die Bestellung des Dressings getrennt vom Beilagensalat war nicht möglich, der Backfisch war sehr cross frittiert und obwohl der große Salatteller ohne Tomaten bestellt war, wurde er mit Tomaten zubereitet. Kommentar: "Ich hab's der Küche zwar gesagt aber sie sehen ja..." Insgesamt war die Bedienung langsam und unfreundlich. Wir hatten nicht einmal die Chance ein zweites Getränk zu bestellen und mussten fragen, ob wir bezahlen dürfen. Obwohl die Qualität des Essens gar nicht richtig schlecht war, ist der Turmblick nicht zu empfehlen. Aber wie gesagt, hungrig sind wir auch nicht nach Hause gegangen.

Zwar nichts hier gegessen aber die Portionen die serviert wurden sehen sehr gut und lecker aus. Der Wein, egal welcher, ist ein Hammer und die Bedienung top. Alle nett, zuvorkommend. Sehr netter Besitzer.

Wir haben auf der Aussenterasse gesessen. Der Ausblick auf die Mosel und den beleuchteten Turm am späten Abend waren traumhaft. Aber auch das Essen war erstklassig. Es war eine reichliche Portion zum sehr fairen Preis. Ein grosser Respekt an den Service, denn es war wirklich sehr viel Betrieb und die beiden Kellner hatten immer ein Lächeln und ein nettes Wort parat. Das Restaurant ist zu 100% weiterzuempfehlen!

Wir hatten die Platte für 2 Personen. Schnitzel (Chanpionrahm..) und Schweinefilet mit Pfeffersauce Beilage: Gemüse, Pommes, Kroketten und Minirösti. Der Service war nett und bemüht. Das Essen war unterdurchschnittlich und kann die positive Bewertung nicht nachvollziehen.😕 Schnitzel waren tot gebraten bzw. wurden sie aufgewärmt.😪 Das Gemüse kam überwiegend aus der Dose.😪 Alles mit zu wenig Gewürz.😪 Ich möchte hier nichts mehr essen 👊👎 Die guten Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.😕😪

Het was erg gezellig en een heerlijke ambiance. Het vlees was goed, de patat heerlijk! 1 van de obers was geweldig! De andere zette de duurste fles wijn op tafel zonder glazen en zonder proeven.

Super schönes Ambiente, und ein sehr freundliches Personal. Es lohnt sich dort hin zu gehen. Eine kleine aber feine Karte. Für jeden etwas dabei.

Service: chaotisch. Die Kellner rennen sehr hektisch. und scheinbar ohne Konzept umher. Die Bestellung wurde von 2 Kellnern aufgenommen. Essen: Pfefferlendchen zufriedenstellend, Thunfischsalat ist für 14,80,- sehr ausbaufähig. Nach der Frage : Hat es geschmeckt und der ehrliche Antwort: Nein, ich hab's aufgegessen weil ich Hunger hatte! ......keine Reaktion,nur Schulterzucken......

Das Essen war gut, ich hatte Flammkuchen und der hat einfach super geschmeckt, die restliche Familie hat dort ein Schnitzel gegessen und die waren auch zufrieden. Der Service und das Ambiente waren einfach toll! Gerne wieder!

Een gezellig en sfeervol restaurantje met een mooi uitzicht over de Moezel. We hebben er heerlijk gegeten, voor ieder wat wils. Ook was de menukaart in het Engels wat een pluspunt is. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We kregen vrij snel een salade maar het wachten op het hoofdgerecht duurde wat lang. Over het algemeen een dikke aanrader!

Het was wel prima en goed, maar ook hier stijgen de prijzen enorm. Waarom? We moesten meer dan een uur wachten, dus de prijstijging kwam niet door personeel kosten. De schnitsel is flink gestegen in prijs. Maar waarom is toch de wijn bij jullie zo duur. Dit is niet normaal. Aan de overkant van de Moezel kan je wijn kopen nog voor €3.99 maar bij jullie kost een trocken wijn €5,90. Veel te duur. Jammer.
