Alte Winzerstube in Zell (Mosel)

Wir haben dort über 20 Minuten auf die Speisekarte gewartet und wurden ignoriert. Wir sind weitergegangen ins nächste Restaurant.

Unser letzter Besuch dort war im April 2026, und es war großartig. Jetzt, Mitte Juli, ist es zum Heulen. Der Service ist unterirdisch; wir haben über 45 Minuten auf eine Tomatensuppe gewartet, die zudem unglaublich scharf war (obwohl das nicht erwähnt wurde). Der Grillteller ist nicht mehr auf der Karte. Es herrscht absolutes Chaos. Wir fragten, ob unsere Vorspeisen und die Chicken Nuggets für unseren vierjährigen Sohn gleichzeitig kommen könnten, aber auch das ging nicht. Anscheinend haben neue Besitzer das Restaurant übernommen, und es ist wirklich furchtbar. Suchen Sie sich also lieber ein besseres Restaurant!

Wir sind gekommen weil es uns als bestes Lokal in Zell vorgeschlagen wurde. Beim Essen sind die Meinungen geteilt, weil die Gerichte unterschiedlich zu bewerten sind. Wir hatten beide das Schnitzel. Ich mit Champion und meine Frau Pfefferrahmsoße. Die Schnitzel und die Pfeffersoße Verdienenden die volle Punktzahl! Auch die weitere Soße und die Pommes konnten überzeugen. Von meinem Bratkartoffeln war ich nicht so begeistert, weil mir diese teilweise noch zu knatschig erschienen. Dies ist zwar eigener Geschmack aber ich würde an der Stelle die Fritten weiter empfehlen. Der Vorspeisensalat war für uns leider nicht der Volltreffer. Die Salatmischung ist zwar gut aber bei der Soße fehlte uns beiden der Geschmack. Schade, weil gerade die Schnitzel echt überzeugt haben. Ambiente ist vollkommen in Ordnung, aber auch nichts wovon man später weiter erzählen würde. Der Service war gut. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt und würden auch wieder kommen, wenn wir Zell wieder besuchen. Eigentlich würden wir 3,5 Sterne geben wollen aber das ist leider nicht möglich. Alles in allem hat es vielleicht einfach unseren eigenen Geschmack nicht ganz gepasst, ein Besuch kann aber jedem mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfohlen werden.

Was für ein toller Ort! Trotz der großen Hitze war das Restaurant voll. Es war kein Tisch frei, aber wir baten um einen Moment Geduld. Eine freundliche Dame brachte uns Getränke und die Speisekarte. Wir warteten kurz, und schon war ein Tisch frei. Alles war erstklassig. Der Service war super freundlich und die Gerichte einfach spitze!

Wir kamen um 20:00 Uhr an und wurden weggeschickt, weil die Küche um 20:00 Uhr schloss. Auf der Website steht zwar 21 Stunden, aber uns wegen einer Minute wegzuschicken, ist doch absurd! Nie wieder.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Als erstes bekamen wir für unsere Hündin Wasser. Service und Essen war super. Wir gehen immer wieder hin, wenn wir in Zell sind.

extrem unfreundlich Wollten uns gerne draußen hinsetzen, als uns gesagt wurde, dass es dauern kann. Bei netter Nachfrage nach der Wartezeit auf das Essen wurde patzig geantwortet. Kellnerin alleine draußen überfordert, nicht zu empfehlen…

Hier gibt's nichts zu meckern. Ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Essen war sehr lecker. Einzig die Soße zu meinem Pfefferschnitzel war etwas wenig. Als ich den Kellner darauf ansprach, bekam ich sofort Nachschub und das ohne Berechnung. Allein dafür würde ich noch einen zusätzlichen Stern vergeben.

Wir mussten über 30 Minuten warten, nachdem uns ein Tisch zugewiesen worden war, bis dieser abgeräumt war und wir bestellen konnten. Es gab nur zwei vegetarische Gerichte, von denen eines nicht verfügbar war. Auch einige andere Gerichte der Speisekarte waren nicht erhältlich. Das Personal war freundlich, aber unterbesetzt. Die vegetarische Option war enttäuschend, lediglich ein gewöhnlicher Burger mit Gemüse, ohne proteinreiche Alternative.

Zuerst das negative, der Bereich an der Theke war etwas unordentlich, aber nicht verschmutzt. Die Speisekarte war übersichtlich, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei und dazu nicht überladen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und verstand ihr Handwerk, wir mussten nicht lange warten. Wir haben uns für ein Wiener bzw Jägerschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln entschieden. Die Wartezeit bei Getränken und Speisen war absolut in Ordnung. Draußen war gut Betrieb, wir saßen aber im kühlen Innenbereich. Die Schnitzel sind definitiv Hausgemacht, absolut zart und saftig, sehr sehr lecker! Ebenso die Bratkartoffeln. Am Ende unseres Aufenthalt waren wir satt und sehr zufrieden. Wir können dieses Lokal mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen und werden gerne wiederkommen.

Sehr leckeres Essen & erstklassiger Service! Sogar mein Hund bekam kostenlos Wasser in einem Napf serviert ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und aufmerksam. Unsere Getränke kamen extrem schnell und das Essen war einfach hervorragend – super lecker, frisch und von spürbar hochwertiger Qualität. Hier stimmt das Gesamtpaket aus Gastfreundschaft und Genuss. Große Empfehlung für jeden Weinstuben-Liebhaber! Ich muss meine Bewertung ein ganz kleines bisschen korrigieren. Einen Tag später waren wir nochmal dort essen und das Bewirtungspersonal (ein anderes im Vergleich zum Vortag) war sichtbar überfordert. Die Getränkebestellungen wurden mehrfach vergessen und wir haben etwas warten müssen, bis überhaupt jemand zu unserem Tisch kam. Dennoch halte ich an den 5 Sternen fest. Der Ersteindruck war einfach zu gut.

Schöne Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal und ein tolles Schnitzel

Sauberes, modernes Zimmer mit Blick direkt auf die Mosel. Leider war das Restaurant geschlossen. Fahrradgarage gibt es auch, aber ca. 100 Meter entfernt.

Wir hatten die Bewertungen gelesen und waren sehr neugierig geworden. Wir haben an drei von fünf Abenden, die wir in Zell verbracht haben, hier gegessen. Das Essen ist köstlich und der Service fantastisch.

Das Essen war leider nicht so gut wie ich es erwartet habe, aufgrund der hohen Anzahl an Guten Bewertungen. Das Schnitzel hat leider nicht überzeugt, der Fleischgeschmack war komisch. Das Ambiente war schön, leider fehlt mir hier aber der Fahrradständer.

Muss echt sagen habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen es gab Spagel mit einem Schnitzel und so Holodes war echt sehr lecker 😋

Essen war okay, nichts besonderes. Wein war gut, sowie preislich okay. Leider sehr auf Touris ausgelegt... kann man mal machen aber geht auch sehr viel besser in der Umgebung

Wir haben hier super leckere Schnitzel gegessen! Aber Achtung: Wir waren um kurz vor 19 Uhr dort und wurden normal bedient. Ab circa 19:15 Uhr (an einem Samstag) wurden neu ankommende potentielle Gäste weggeschickt, weil die Küche geschlossen habe. Also: Lieber etwas eher dort aufschlagen und dann in Ruhe ein leckeres Schnitzel genießen…

Waren schon oft hier und es ist jedesmal super, lecker, reichlich und die Bedienung immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen kann nicht bewertet werden. Dafür der Service: nach geschlagenen 20 min. kam die Speisekarte. Eine Auswahl des Essen stand fest. Es kam die Bedienung, nahm die Speisekarten und teilte uns mit, es täte ihm Leid der Koch habe die Küche bereits geschlossen!!

Am Samstag war die Küche ab 13 Uhr durchgehend geöffnet, was an sich schon außergewöhnlich ist. Das Essen war köstlich und wurde von einer freundlichen jungen Dame schnell serviert. Allerdings war es ziemlich voll, und die Bedienung und der Koch arbeiteten allein. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch, um den Rest der Speisekarte zu probieren.

Sehr unfreundliche Kellnerin. Wir sind noch während der ersten Bestellung gegangen. So etwas hatten wir auch noch nie und das nur weil ich bei der Weinbestellung nicht schnell genug war und noch eine Frage hatte.

Wir haben in der Weinstube gegenüber gegessen und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen sowie geschmeckt.

Wir hatten den Flammkuchen, immer bis 16 Uhr verfügbar, und ein Zwiebelschnitzel mit Pommes. Beide Gerichte sehr lecker. Kritikpunkt von uns ist die Majo aus der Tüte, diese wird dem Gericht nicht gerecht. Es wäre schön wenn der Traubensaft ebenfalls vom Winter käme. Und leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

Gemütliches Restaurant mit typisch moselländischem Charme. Die Atmosphäre ist urig und einladend, perfekt für einen entspannten Abend. Die Schnitzel waren frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker, dazu Kroketten und Bratkartoffeln sowie Salat. Wein🍷 aus der Region und ein Kaltenberg 🍺.Der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Everything was perfect, I would return.

Our food was absolutely delicious, both the salad as a starter and the main course. All the ingredients were freshly prepared. The schnitzels are world-class! Buttery soft, simply a culinary delight. The interior is quite small, so I recommend making a reservation beforehand, otherwise you'll have to rely on luck.

We found a great spot in the winter tent during the cold season and haven't had such a good, perfectly cooked schnitzel in ages. Thank you. 🙏 We wish you a happy New Year 🎆 and keep up the great work in 2026.

Great restaurant with a nice atmosphere

Lovely restaurant in the riverside town of Zell. The reviews talking about the freshly pounded schnitzel are completely true and the food is superb. I especially enjoyed the Bratkartoffeln as a side and you get a little salad appetiser as well. When I visited it was cash-only but this may have been a temporary thing. I would highly recommend!

Due to the weather, we spontaneously decided to go to the old vintner's tavern and initially sat in the tent by the patio heater. After enjoying a delicious glass of wine, we decided to order dinner. We had the pork medallions and the Wiener Schnitzel. You could hear the knocking coming from the kitchen, which to me means... everything is freshly cooked. We give the food a full five stars. Absolutely delicious and the staff were fantastic. We will definitely visit the old vintner's tavern again on our next trip.

We were turned away from our request for a reservation. So we didn't go that evening. The place is small inside (three tables), outside is a disgusting plastic tent, and the prices aren't cheap. Generally speaking, it's too arrogant.

We were there at 6 p.m. Outside, there was just a sign saying the kitchen was open until 7 p.m. When we went inside and wanted tarte flambée, we were told it was only open until 4 p.m. We were very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it. Here, the restaurant is in charge, not the customer.

We stopped here twice and had the "small plates." They were delicious and the perfect size for our evening meal. The service was also excellent. We'd love to come back. ☺️

Very good schnitzel but the service is less

We weren't overpromised. The restaurant is truly a charming little gem. As soon as you enter, you sense the cozy and warm atmosphere, which immediately puts you at ease. I was particularly impressed by the preparation of the schnitzels; you can hear them being freshly pounded, which immediately makes you look forward to the taste. They were outstanding! Tender, crispy, and exactly what you'd expect from a truly good schnitzel. The portion size was also perfectly sized, filling but not overwhelming. An all-around wonderful experience that I highly recommend.

We had a delicious meal for a great price (around €30 per person) with excellent wine, of course. It's a cozy corner with occasional live music from street performers. No reservations, so if there's room, you can join in.

From unfriendly to rude service, to canteen food that's second to none, and finally, the truly high prices. It's a mystery to me where these high ratings come from.

The food was delicious. Super tender schnitzels in many variations. We sat inside because of the rain. We've been there several times and can highly recommend it.

A one-hour wait from the moment you order is pretty intense. But the schnitzel was one of the best I've ever eaten, and it was big, too.

We got a table there spontaneously. As the menu states, everything is made fresh, and it took a little longer than it might have elsewhere. My father personally found the schnitzel too thin, but others probably like it that way; it's probably a matter of taste. My rump steak was very good. It's a bit more expensive for the price, but it's okay. I recommend it.

It's lovely here. The covered terrace is very nice in today's weather. The food was very tasty. They have a seasonal menu (chanterelles this time), which I really liked.

We spent a weekend in Zell an der Mosel and were looking for a good restaurant that evening, which we definitely found at the "Alte Winzerei." The service was exceptionally polite, attentive, and courteous. We snagged a spot on the terrace, even though it was forecast to rain. They immediately organized a suitable umbrella for us, so we could stay outside despite the light shower. The advice on the food and wine was excellent, and the dishes—freshly prepared—were simply top-notch. The value for money was excellent. I highly recommend the restaurant.

The food was delicious. We sat on the terrace, a bit squashed near the entrance. But it was okay. The waiter was friendly but a bit rushed. It might have been the heat.

First, the positive: The Jäger-style schnitzel was truly amazing, and the fries and salad were good. The service was attentive, but it was quite busy, and it's easy to lose track of things...a shame—unfortunately, as in many industries, there's a shortage of qualified staff.

Very tasty! The food came out of the kitchen quickly and hot. The service was a bit casual but very friendly. The outdoor terrace is completely covered, so even rain showers aren't a problem. Unfortunately, you can't reserve a table.

Absolute recommendation! We ate there with 9 people and they made every effort to provide us with a suitable table. The food was really top and freshly prepared.
