The food was excellent, the bruschetta was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.

We received a very friendly welcome and were seated on the terrace. Ordering was quick and easy, and the food was served promptly. We had spaghetti aglio e olio and one pizza gyro. The spaghetti was overcooked and soggy, and there was no sign of any olive oil. This is unacceptable for a pizzeria. The pizza was well prepared, but in the last slice, there was a fly that had been baked into the pizza, which appeared between the cheese. I hope this was the only fly. After this complaint, the pizza was not charged, but the disgusting factor remained. We will avoid this restaurant!

Service very friendly, good price-performance ratio, delicious food always happy

We've been there twice. The first time, the fish platter was fantastic, and the schnitzel was also very good. The second time, the gyro had large pieces of fat and a lot of salt, and the 8mm thick rump steak was full of tendons. You should think carefully about what you want to eat, as the chef (owner) seems overwhelmed by some of the dishes.

During a short vacation, we chose this restaurant on two consecutive days because of its diverse offerings for adults and children. We enjoyed our stay here, enjoyed a variety of dishes and drinks, and would wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you very much; we felt very comfortable here with four people.

A restaurant with a colorful mix of Greek, German, and Italian cuisine. Gyros, schnitzel, pizza, and pasta are all there. The service is friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, the price-performance ratio is good. We had, among other dishes, the lasagna gyro version, which was a bit unusual but delicious. The absolute highlight, however, was the beef liver with pepper sauce and fried potatoes. A huge portion, delicious, and truly outstandingly well-prepared. If you like liver, you should definitely try this.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't that good. The gyro was greasy, the coleslaw wasn't tasty, and the fried potatoes weren't anything like fried potatoes. I've only seen the pan. Unfortunately, it wasn't crispy or brown.

We had a very good meal there. The dishes we ordered were delicious, and the food arrived promptly. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. We definitely recommend it. We'll definitely be back. On our return visit two years later, everything was once again to our complete satisfaction. Everything was top-notch!

Bad pizza with imitation cheese. Everything was tasteless. No card payments accepted! This is completely unacceptable as a restaurant. The pizza was lukewarm upon pickup. The toppings were easily removed. The dough was dry. The gyro was inedible—tough and frozen. The ambiance inside took some getting used to.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The staff is so child-friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. You sit on a wonderful terrace. We ate there three times in a row :)

We were assigned a table with our two dogs without a reservation! The staff is very friendly and we also like the terrace! The food received mixed reviews! The pork fillet with Gorgonzola sauce was very tasty! The schnitzel with mushrooms, unfortunately, was not! During conversation, it became clear that the schnitzels are not prepared on site, but are bought in ready-made! The taste was also good! The mushroom sauce, on the other hand, was very tasty! This criticism should be passed on to the kitchen! We don't often criticize, but with this dish, the price/performance ratio was not right! We really hope that the schnitzels will be prepared on site in the future! Then you'll be happy to accept a longer wait!

Delicious crab pizza, very friendly service, good price, we will be back

We have been to Dornumersiel several times, and today we wanted to try the pizzeria. I ordered a lasagne and the rest of us had pizza. The pizza was relatively good, although it could have stayed in the oven a bit longer. Then my lasagne came and I have never eaten anything so horrible. The frozen lasagne from Lidl tasted better. It was just a layer of pasta, then a pile of minced meat that wasn't even seasoned, another lasagne sheet on top, and then topped with cheese. There was no sauce. It really was horrible... and then you had to pay gel for it... The atmosphere is cold and everything a bit dreary, they could improve a bit.

Four of us were there for dinner and drinks starting at 5 p.m. It was my friend's birthday, and the restaurant staff had prepared a beautifully decorated table for us, which was truly amazing. The food was amazing, excellent value for money, and the staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating. There was absolutely nothing to complain about; I highly recommend the restaurant without reservation.

We can't understand some of the negative reviews. We visited there several times during our vacation. Super friendly service, excellent food. At really good prices. Here, the guest truly is king. Highly recommended. My 60th birthday was a fantastic evening at the Tulipano.

We each had spaghetti, one "Frutti di Mare" and one "Salmon." The portions are large, and the fish in these dishes was exceptionally good. While at other pizzerias you sometimes have to hunt for ingredients, here there are plenty. There was also plenty of garlic. ;-) And the owner is a textbook Italian. Very attentive to his guests, friendly, and always available. So, this wasn't the last time we stayed here, and we'd be happy to come back.

Six adults were completely satisfied and full. The service was always prompt, friendly, and unobtrusive. The food—grilled platter, spaghetti, gyro casserole, and appetizer plate—was all excellent. Several beers were on tap. The prices were absolutely reasonable. It was a wonderful dinner; we will be back. Thank you.

We were there as a family. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside is that they charge €1 for a sachet of ketchup or mayo. I find that pretty cheeky, especially considering other restaurants charge €0.50 for a large bowl of ketchup or mayo. Perhaps they should rethink this.

Bad pizza, wanted to eat a pizza with some friends after playing football, dough is OK but the cheese is disgusting

We had a grilled platter, which we absolutely wouldn't recommend. The meat was tough and completely dry, as if it had just been warmed up and was from the day before. The waiter was very pushy and ultimately rude and rude. The chef clearly doesn't know a lot about cooking. Never again!!!

Hey guys, I just paid €39 for two schnitzels. I can get them cheaper and better at any snack bar for half the price. The salad was leftovers, the dressing... The schnitzels were dry, the cream sauce... Well, who wants and can't get better at a chip shop? .

We're on vacation and were looking for a table on the first day without a reservation. We found one here. It wasn't easy at all. The food was delicious. I had a calzone with gyros and onions. It was very moist because it was baked with tomato sauce. It was something completely different. Cash only, but that's not a problem.

2 stars only for the friendly staff and the lovely terrace. All the restaurants in town are full when the weather's nice, except for this one, unfortunately for their own reasons. The food could be improved. I thought if the sign said pizzeria, they'd know how to make a pizza. A pizza should have mozzarella and toppings on top, not Gouda cheese baked all over it. The plaice fillet had pollock or something else on one plate.

A really great selection, the seafood pizza was delicious. My wife had the herring, also of excellent quality. We enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere and great service, and the owners are very friendly.

We ordered bruschetta for our starter. It gets 5/5 stars! The main courses, however, were very mediocre. The schnitzel looked like pressed meat. The gyro lasagna only had two lasagna sheets and was therefore very meaty. Unfortunately, some of the pieces of meat in the Metaxagyros were very tough. The spaghetti with tomato cream sauce was very good. The service was great!

We ordered a takeaway pizza. Unfortunately, it wasn't to our taste. It was more on the level of a slightly better delivery service, but not a proper pizzeria. The dough wasn't cooked all the way through and was overloaded with cheap-looking cheese. The pizza was also rather small and expensive. I can't comment on any other food.

I was there with my wife and honestly, I've rarely eaten so well. The food was truly delicious, everything seemed very fresh, and the taste was also good. The staff was super friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. The ambiance is very simple, but just right, cozy, not too much, not too little, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

1. Table reserved, staff immediately overwhelmed upon arrival 2. While guests (unannounced) arrived 15 minutes after us, already had their meals, they didn't even order our drinks. 3. They wanted to serve us an appetizer after the main course. 4. Side salads weren't delivered at all. 5. All dishes were oversalted, meat grilled to death. 6. Drinks weren't even refilled when the glasses were empty. 7. A complaint about the late meal was passed on to the kitchen. 8. When paying, it was pointed out again, and the answer was that there was too much to keep track of everything. But four waiters were standing around the counter drying glasses. I haven't had such bad food and such lousy service in a long time.

A complete disaster for Father's Day! Four of us ate at Tulipano that evening and were sadly extremely disappointed. After the drinks were brought to our table after about 25 minutes, we had to wait a whopping 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food. Only after two reminders was the food finally brought – unfortunately, the main course and the appetizer came after that. A completely disorganized and disorganized kitchen performance. The main courses were incomplete, with descriptions missing, as were salads and entire side dishes. Furthermore, the food tasted atrocious: completely oversalted, the meat covered in tendons, and the fries drenched in grease – practically inedible. The service staff responded to our constructive complaint at the end with, "I'm not in the kitchen, there's nothing I can do" and "It shouldn't be like this, it's busy today." No service at all, no understanding of the guest, and overall, just really bad! It's also not a good sign when an Italian restaurant serves pizza/pasta, fish, Greek dishes, and steak. There was no clear focus - and that was reflected in the food. Not a recommendation!

A resounding no! First, our small group was "talked into" a starter plate. After a brief discussion, we were softened up – we wanted to remain friendly. The coleslaw with the antipasti was completely unsuitable and completely unreasonable for the price. We hadn't even finished the beer when another one arrived. Very business-minded, I'd say after the first few incidents. I ordered liver, which just tasted "sour"... Ordered two espressos, and they immediately wanted to bring us three more – we stood our ground. When paying, the bill showed two Merlots, even though we only had one. Card payment wasn't possible (it was posted). There was no receipt either... Given the size of the restaurant and the turnover in a vacation home, the tax-paying guest wonders why that is. We won't go back. Many years ago, this used to be a good fish restaurant.

We ate there in the evening on our arrival day. The staff is super friendly, and you can even have a chat. The atmosphere is also great; there's a dining room, a winter garden, and a covered terrace. However, I was disappointed with my meal (gyros in Metaxa sauce with fries). The fries were dripping with grease and were simply soggy. There wasn't even a bit of salad with it, and the portion size was quite small for the price (€17.99).

Yesterday we were guests at the Tulipano and were greeted very warmly and friendly. We ordered pizzas, which we both really enjoyed. We were particularly impressed by the helpfulness of our hosts and the cleanliness of the restaurant. We will definitely have lunch here more often.

We got takeaway twice on our vacation. We received a very friendly welcome. The food, Pizza Dornumersiel, Pizza Hawaii and Tortellini al Forno tasted very good. We're already looking forward to our next vacation in the summer and we'll also be happy to eat there. It looks so cozy.

It was a very great visit to a very great restaurant. The service was incredibly friendly, accommodating and very nice. You can tell that gastronomy is alive here. The food was very, very tasty and individual requests were even catered for at no extra charge (which is no longer a given these days)

We were here at short notice on New Year's Eve with 4 people, plus a dog, and got a place without registering. We were greeted warmly and nicely and shown to our place. We ordered starters and main courses, but what we didn't like was that the main courses were brought even though the starters weren't even half eaten. Unfortunately, we had to push our starter aside to avoid having to enjoy the main courses cold too. So we had a cold starter for dessert, semi-optimal we would say. This process can definitely be optimized, just focus a little more on the customer. Unfortunately there were also service problems with the drinks. We ordered a second round of drinks, only half of which was served, when the employee came we told him he wanted to get them. After another 15 minutes, the drinks we ordered still hadn't arrived. After 20 minutes an employee came, we pointed out that we had ordered drinks some time ago, but they hadn't arrived yet. She checked, apparently there was no order for them, so order again and wait. These were then brought immediately. Otherwise, all the food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was totally ok, considering the location in which you dine.

Unfortunately not good 😒 Everything was very bland and really didn't taste delicious. I can't say for sure whether Italians make gyros here or Greeks make pizza and pasta. No matter what, you definitely can't expect fusion kitchen here and neither tasted good. You only get a ⭐️ if you have food poisoning, so ⭐️⭐️ Shame about the time and money...

One star is definitely too many. I've never had such bad lasagna. Rubber noodles, rubber cheese, bechamel not seasoned at all, minced beef was ok, unfortunately everything was burnt from the bottom (had ordered to be picked up). Unfortunately the pizzas weren't great either. Base too thick, sweet dough, topping not really tasty. To break the habit of pizza and pasta, to be honest, every frozen product tastes better.

We stopped there as part of our vacation. Service was very polite and quick. Bruschetta and pizza so-so to be honest. A little more flavor and less cheese and pizza 2x very black from the bottom. A matter of taste. Drinks are a bit expensive in comparison. The menu is certainly very extensive - perhaps it would be good for the kitchen to concentrate on one focus and not want to offer "everything". The atmosphere on the terrace is also not very comfortable. All in all, not bad - but not something you would necessarily want to go to again - you could do more with it.

One portion of noodles tasted like pure Maggi. The other noodles had no taste at all. The pizza was pale and needed a few more minutes in the oven. The service was friendly, as you would expect. The prices are far too high for the poor quality food.

There were six of us there. The food was really great. The service was very good. The restaurant was also very busy What I don't like is that in this day and age, when everyone pays without cash, you can only pay with cash. You couldn't spontaneously decide to go out to eat there.

We were thrilled, the atmosphere was right, the dishes and the service were top. We had the grill plate with salad and fries for €20.00 and the liver in garlic sauce with mushrooms and fries for €20.90. The plates were both sufficient and the meat was nicely grilled but still juicy. The service was very attentive and courteous, we felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, there is one point of criticism: when you sit on the beautiful, wind-protected terrace, a rush of gas (possibly from the grill) often passes by and if there had been smokers on the terrace (tables are set accordingly), we would probably have suffocated or would have suffocated We felt so comfortable whether we were sitting inside or outside - but we were lucky and there were no smokers at the time we visited. Very good value for money, would love to come back. Dog friendly, wheelchair accessible

The Tulipano is definitely recommended. I haven't eaten such good spaghetti Napoli for a long time. But all the other dishes were absolutely fantastic. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Always my pleasure....

We ate pizza, pasta and the tulipano plate. Unfortunately, the pizza was already missing salt in the dough, so unfortunately it didn't really taste like much with seasoning. What was unfortunately very unpleasant and also annoying was the service employee at the bar. He always had a very loud, in his opinion, funny, silly talk. For us as guests it was more disturbing than funny. The atmosphere in the passage is not really appealing. Too bad! Conclusion: We'll probably come here again, but it's not our first choice.

Super nice staff. The prices are good, as are the portions. We got something twice in a week and the children were super happy. Of course the adults really enjoyed it too. All of the food can also be ordered to take away and I think that's great, especially when the children are too tired to go to the restaurant. We will definitely eat here again on our next vacation.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon in July. The food was very good, both in terms of quality and quantity. My wife enjoyed a vegetarian pizza and I enjoyed a meal with several types of meat. Both were excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely stop there again on our next visit to the coast!
