Cafe Restaurant Kluntje-Pott in Dornum

We saw it while driving by and pulled over. We ate delicious fried fish with fried potatoes. Since we all had fish, homemade fish fingers and fries for our little one were a must. We sat outside in a very comfortable, sheltered spot and enjoyed a lovely break.

Quaint little café and restaurant with delicious food for every taste. Staff are friendly and helpful. I'll be back. Keep up the good work.

We held our wedding dinner here. It was more than just excellent. The table was lovingly set, as was the food—we had fish in various variations and types, with super-tasty sauces, salad, vegetables, a delicious tomato soup to start with, and dessert afterward—everything was absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and everyone was friendly! There were six of us there with two dogs, and everyone was very satisfied. Many thanks again to Ute and the team for the wonderful celebration. We'll be back. Oh, and not to forget, the prices were really 👍 👍 👍

We've been eating there every year for the past three years during our family vacation. We always receive a very warm welcome and attentive service. All the food is freshly prepared, and we (6 adults and one child) always enjoyed it immensely. The value for money is absolutely excellent.

Very cute café. You can either eat super delicious-looking cake 🎂 there or have dinner like we did. Tagliatelle with salmon 🐟 And the burger 🍔 Before that, a crab soup 🦐 and a potato soup – which was too thin for me personally! The price-performance ratio doesn't quite match. The burger was great, but too expensive. Likewise the pasta in cream sauce (which was certainly made in-house) 👌 Unfortunately the pesto was missing. The service was great! If you look past the ants on the table and a smeared tablecloth, it's a loving, beautifully decorated place. We'll definitely try it again. Probably a popular place with locals.

We recently ate at Café Kluntje-Pott for a family celebration. A burger buffet was served by arrangement: no matter whether sauces, side dishes, buns, patties: everything was delicious and absolutely high quality!!! Many thanks to the nice team for the lovely evening! We always like to come back!

We went to the North Sea for a short weekend. Three out of three days we experienced a wonderful atmosphere, loving service and incredibly honest and wonderful food! We became aware of the Kluntje pot through the geocaching community. And we weren't disappointed. The gooseberry meringue cake is sooo delicious! According to my father, the crab soup was very, very good. and a relaxed Ostfiesen tea ceremony. Heart and palate, what more could you want. Yes, come on, there's something else...the service (boss?) TOP! Frisian friendly, warm, only the YOU in the salutation. No matter when we get close again. We'll definitely be back! By the way, it should be briefly mentioned that there is a small shopping corner with jam, honey, etc. at the entrance and exit. After trying them at home, we weren't disappointed with the products on offer either!

Just visited 4 days ago. Really a very, very cozy, rustic restaurant. Very courteous, nice staff. Great selection of food and drinks. We were looking forward to really great herring with fried potatoes. Simply enjoy typical food in East Frisia. But then we were 😞 disappointed. The taste was okay But the fried potatoes were fried little cubes, not homemade and completely overpriced for the portion. We went home hungry and ate some pretzel sticks. It's a real shame, we were so happy to be able to eat a real, nice, original East Frisian specialty.

Were there today. Everything was very tasty and nice atmosphere. We took cake home with us because we were full after the good portion. Here too it can be said that the cake was exceptionally good. Will come more often now.

Delicious We were there for lunch and ate cake, there was a nice selection and the cakes and tarts were very tasty. Happy and excited, we decided to have dinner there too (note: only open until 7 p.m.). A large selection of dishes for small and large appetites. Tarte flambée, pasta and kale are all very tasty. I can recommend everyone to stop by there, whether for tea, coffee & cake, whether you're hungry or big... it's worth it!!

I can only recommend it, I went there this afternoon with my husband and our Rex, it was really great. Dogs 🐕 are welcome. We bake and cook everything ourselves. We are really nice and open-minded. Great fresh mussel dishes, burgers and a great breakfast are on offer, you are nearby? It is simply a must.. I will definitely recommend it to my holiday guests.. What a disappointment 😒 I ordered the same thing again, then the 🫖 tea came, nothing loose, no just a bag and you could still see the edge of the tea in the white tea cup 😒 Only the cake was still delicious The cellar had to ask several times what we wanted (always forgetting) and perhaps should have changed his T-shirt

Im Sommerurlaub 2023 haben wir zufällig dieses Cafe entdeckt und da es uns dort so gut gefallen hat, versuchen wir in jedem Urlaub an der ostfriesischen Nordseeküste hier einmal einzukehren. Während unserem Herbsturlaub waren wir wieder hier und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Im Kluntje-Pott ist das Personal sehr herzlich und die Küche zaubert wirklich sehr leckeres Essen.

Die Einrichtung der Lokalität ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, der Preis für das Frühstücksbuffet (an Sonntagen) liegt mit 18,50€ pro Person in einem üblichen Bereich. Die Auswahl an Speisen war, zumindest anfangs, durchaus gut. Neben dem üblichen Rührei mit Bacon und Würstchen, gab es natürlich 2 oder Käsesorten, Wurstaufschnitt und Schinken, sowie div. Quark, Müsli und Fruchtsalat. Darüber hinaus gab es u. a. noch Lachs und einen wirklich sehr leckeren Matjessalat. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, meine 3 Sterne Bewertung beim Service begründet sich in der Verfügbarkeit der einzelnen Produkte. Mal gab es längere Zeit keine Croissants mehr, der leckere Matjessalat wurde durch einzelne Matjesstückchen ersetzt und von ursprünglich 3 Marmeladen war nur noch eine verfügbar. Schade... Bei dem doch nicht unerheblichen Preis für das Buffet, sollten alle Produkte auch noch 45 Minuten vor Ende der Frühstückszeit vorhanden sein.

Überraschubgsfunde auf der Durchreise. Eigentlich suchten wie eine Bäckerei mit Cafe zum Frühstücken, wir fanden zufällig dieses nette Restaurant mit Frühstücksbuffett. :)

Leckerer Kuchen, selbst frisch gebacken, und kleine Speisekarte , aber super lecker!!!

We gingen er in de ochtend heen voor een kopje koffie en thee, vonden het zo leuk e dat we aan het eind van de dag daar heen gegaan zijn om iets te eten. De koffie en de thee met de eigengemaakte torte was prima en het eten was heel erg lekker. We werden op tijd bediend, het eten werd ook snel geserveerd nadat we de bestelling hadden gedaan. Aan te bevelen als je in OstFriesland rond rijdt en na het bezien van Dornum honger hebt gekregen. Voor ons twee was het ruim voldoende, wij hebben thuis ook nooit zulke grote porties op ons bord, wellicht voor jongere mensen iets te weinig. Wat we kregen was smaakvol en op typisch Duitse wijze klaargemaakt. Das war lecker! Kluntje pott deed mij denken aan mijn grootmoeder die op zondag altijd de klontje pot gevuld had voor in de koffie. Voor de niet kenners, klontje is in dit geval kandijsuiker!

Leckeres Essen. Kann man empfehlen. Eine gute Kinderkarte ist auch vorhanden. Personal ist sehr kinderfreundlich.

Wirklich gutes Essen! Wir hatten einen Burger - extrem lecker .. tolle, selbst geschnittene Pommes, ein Traum .. meine Frau einen Matjesteller und zum Nachtisch selbst gebackenen Kuchen & Tee ... wir waren wirklich überrascht, hier so eine gute Küche vorzufinden. Dazu eine sehr freundliche Wirtin und ein schöner wilder Außenbereich ... Wirklich ein Tipp und einen Ausflug wert!

Wir haben heute das Frühstücksbuffet genossen. Auswahl und Qualität einfach Klasse. Der Matjessalat ist ein Gedicht. Danke!

Wir waren zum Abendessen da. Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und hat unserer Kleinen noch Spielzeug gebracht. Vom Essen waren wir sehr begeistert. Die Preise sind recht günstig. Für die Qualität in jedem Fall. Das war einer der besten Fische, die ich je gegessen habe. Mein Mann und Sohn hatten einen Burger und waren ebenfalls sehr begeistert. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Essen wie im Sternelokal. Wir hatten 4 verschiedene Gerichte und alle waren excellent und große Portionen. Geschmacklich waren alle essen sehr gut. Außerdem waren die Gerichte sehr schön angerichtet. So gut habe ich selten in einem Restaurant gegessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und locker und das Ambiente sehr schön im Innenbereich und rustikal im Außenbereich. Auch die Kuchen sind sehr lecker. Und große Stücke. Wir sind begeistert und waren im Urlaub öfter dort
